I dont understand DC writers aversion to writing Thomas and Martha Wayne with personality traits more than just "nice". Bruce barely remembers his mom's laugh, but he knows it was loud and sharp. Totally makes sense, probably what happened given what we see in game.

Maybe he deems the Chosen of Bane worthy enough of his master's attention, maybe he just views the whole thing as a chance to further enhance Bhaal's power. In any case he's determined to help his master bang Gortash, cue murderous socially stunted Durge taking romantic advice from their psycho, even more socially maladjusted butler in order to seduce Gortash.
