Electricity is turned off, there’s no lighting, no noice from the fridge or lamps or other. You’re entering your bathroom that is the most save place in the apartment when you hear an explosion somewhere next to your house, windows and walls are shaking. The sound of explosion is abrupt and dull, that wasn’t the first time at all you heard it. You sit next to the wall, light up some candles and start to call your closed ones, sit frozen till they answer. And you keep hearing explosions around you in the full darkness. You’re surviving it today but you don’t know what will be the next time.
Sounds pretty scary yeah? Just like some epic and exciting war movie. Surely this will never happen to you right? Me and my closed ones thought the same just some time ago. But now this text above is our reality now. I repeat - this is the reality for EVERY ukrainian, every peaceful citizen, just like you. We have to deal with it for almost a year now. This can happen ANYTIME, ANYWHERE. The missiles don’t care if you’re in a bathroom, if you have plans for today, if you’re drawing some fanart. They just want to destroy you, destroy electric stations, destroy your comfort, destroy your life.

[-] fix a data structure implementation in my optimization model that i had promised since... nov last year lol (it wasn't entirely necessary. until now)
we'll see if i'm in the mood for stress relief writing instead of just stress relief daydreaming... there's a lot of stuff for every fic but it's all over the place. tpac hyperfixation is still holding strong (esp when compared to all other wips, it is second place for most concrete ending + actual epilogue)
(first place is larb bc every chapter is outlined and scoped; just haven't felt like writing it)
(not saying the other fics don't have planned endings but besides their plot i don't have the context for the endings yet. the shape of the ending scenes are very much informed by the long, in-between chapters)

my fiance and i *finally* got a rental in the new city after a bunch of shenanigans.
twice we were in talks with a landlord for over a week before they decided that my fiance’s business didn’t make enough money, even though he’s already made more sales this quarter than he did last year and we were offering 2 extra months rent upfront (and offered my dad as a guarantor).
then this past weekend our realtor did a virtual viewing for us and proactively sent our info to the landlord since we were out at the time. We got an acceptance on our offer that night after we had a call with the landlord, and we had the lease in hand the next afternoon, no guarantor or extra months required.
obviously I don’t know for *sure* but I find it very timely that all of this happened the day that I started prepping for a ritual for Kirke/Teleogonos that I’d been putting off 👀
