Kusuo saiki - 

He has a small nest he keeps hidden in his wardrobe, as he doesn't want his parents to see, and he doesn’t really use it very often

Saiki’s nest isn't too extravagant it's mainly just a couple of basic blankets and pillows with solid colors mostly blue and brown to match the rest of his room

He isn't too specific about either color or smell but he is actually pretty specific about the texture, too many bad textures will make him uncomfortable 

He doesn't have many scented items, he things it's too embarrassing to ask his alpha for them so he tends to to put items near his alpha so their scent rubs off on it and he can place it in his nest

You tried to keep the grin off your face as you came back from the bathroom and noticed the blue blanket you had been leaning on had “disappeared” from Saiki’s bed. Turning to look at Saiki who had the same blank loon on his face as he sat in front of his TV playing whatever parody game he found that no one liked.

“Mega?, where’d the blanket go?” you asked as you sat down behind him and leaned on his back to wrap your arms around his waist.

“What blanket?” he muttered

“The one I was leaning against baby, on your bed?” your smile pressed against his back, you heard him mutter something as you felt a woosh of air swish past you and then you felt a pillow smack into the back of your head.

I’m curious as to how Kusuo is in this ABO au. With Kuniharu being awful because his son is ‘more alpha’ than him, and I can only imagine how Kusuke treats him.

Don't get me started because I will NOT shut up.

It's definitely a messed up relationship. There's both the idea of 'I'm his older brother, I'm not supposed to lose," and now there's also 'I'm an alpha, I'm supposed to be better than this' that he picked up from his father. The thing is, not only is Kurumi's role as a housewife often overlooked as of less importance than Kuniharu's, her ditsy nature definitely allows Kuniharu's to lean into his whole big strong alpha thing. He wants to be her knight in shining armor, the one who takes care of her and all of that. And it's hard for him to accept the fact that Kurumi will inevitably surpass him in some of these ways. Just as it's hard for Kusuke to accept the same about his brother.

The main thing of it is, they want Kusuo to be more like their wife/mom, someone who fills that 'less important role' of a traditional omega (housewife, caregiver, etc.) and maybe needs someone smart to guide them about things. They don't like that he's stubborn and an asshole (even though those are mostly survival techniques), or that he's of genius intellect and a million times stronger than them. Kusuo is constantly on his guard, needing to be better than them always, because if not, they'll think of him as less.

Kusuke prides himself on thinking of his mom more highly than Kuniharu thinks of her, but he's really the same deep down. His comes more from thinking Kusuo doesn't use his powers properly, and that someone like himself would be much more suited to them. It's just never enough; either Kusuo is too empathetic and passive to deserve them, or he digs in about him not being caring enough like 'most omegas are' because he knows how much Kusuo hates it when Kuniharu talks like that.

And I can talk about the effects it has on Kusuo, but that's honestly for a whole other post entirely, especially because this one is already long teehee

Normally I wouldn’t post about omegaverse, but I had A Thought ™

Imagine everyone cuddling and scenting each other in Saiki’s nest because obviously he’s an omega (because I said so) and Saiki is purring and releasing his scent (something that he doesn’t do very often, if at all) and everyone can tell he’s happy so they’re happy.

The room smells so much of all of their scents that it would be impossible for anyone else to enter the room because of how strong the smell is.

Basically I just want everyone to cuddle and scent each other while they’re purring and also for Kusuo to feel safe and be happy that everyone is in his nest where he can watch over them and protect them.

I don’t know if it’s platonically or if they’re on a polycule.

We'll talk about Kuboyasu a bit here because he's my other blorbo. Here's some things of him in his gang:

Kuboyasu is also an example of someone who didn't latch onto their family pack properly. Unlike Kusuo, however, he sought out another pack in his gang.

He's never had the opportunity to act as a puppy in a pack dynamic: playing around, being taken care of and carefully taught. He's always been the pack leader. It's gives him that idea of being a man that he's so attached to in canon.

People in more dangerous and/or violent environments tend to be closer in sync with their hindbrain. Kuboyasu is very in tune with his, and it helps give him those finely-tuned battle instincts. It also, however, has the side effect of making him a bit more stereotypical, acting as a sole provider for his pack and more chivalrous toward omegas.

This gives him weird behaviors during his ruts, like obsessively cooking for his gang members. He's also a lot more possessive about his things than most, and doesn't really like it when people try to touch his stuff. His pack members are fine to touch any of it, except for a few key items (his bike, helmet, a specific favored weapon that I haven't decided on yet, etc.)

His gang is an all-alphas one, both men and women. This has the unfortunate side effect of him never actually really being close to any omegas or betas. And because none of his friends are omegas, nor his parents, he's never actually been inside a nest. He tends to give them a pretty large radius out of worry he's intruding.

Most people don't really tend to contest his authority. Kuboyasu's reaction, as a result of both his father's treatment, his violent environment, and his closer connection to his inner alpha, is usually to snap his teeth at them and growl instead of...talking about it. Very few people will continue to push after that. Nobody really questions it, though, because that's how a lot of gang leaders are.

As you might be able to tell, Kuboyasu is often a foil for Saiki in this narrative. His reaction to his trauma is almost the exact opposite of Saiki's.

Now here's some of him at PK:

He's very protective of Saiki and Kaido, and later, Teruhashi and Akechi. It more shows itself in an over-reaction to a perceived threat, rather than something in his day-to-day behavior.

When he first got to PK and started assimilating with Saiki, Kaido, and Nendo, he initially clashed a lot with Saiki. The reason being that Saiki was their pack omega, essentially their 'leader'. Both of them squabbled a lot sometimes because Kuboyasu, if you can believe it, tends to be more lax than Saiki about letting them fuck around and be dumb. Saiki's even more protective than he is, but it actually shows itself in his normal interactions.

Kuboyasu, in the midst of an argument, snapped his teeth at Saiki. Kuboyasu got such a bone-chilling growl in response that even his alpha thinks twice about doing something like that again. It's a necessary correction, and Kuboyasu kind of calms down a bit after that.

*Cocks gun* you thought it wouldn't be Kubosai, huh. He eventually does manage to win Saiki over, and kind of fills the role of pack alpha. Of course, there's a clear deference to Saiki in more stressful situations, but most of the time Saiki is content to let Kuboyasu smooth things out.

Kuusuke is terrible at all things domestic and will try and invent something to automate all domestic tasks lol.

You'll come home to the robot maid cleaning the house and you're like 'I'm pretty sure that wasn't here when I left for work this morning???'

That said, he is definitely the type of omega who loves home renovation and surprising you with projects he's been doing while you're at work/away.

I mean, did you need a hovering shelf in the shower to put your toiletries on, no. But is it the coolest thing ever? Yes.

Apart from the roomba that developed an understanding of good and evil and then chose evil, everything he makes is delightfully amusing, even when it's less than practical.

Kuusuke will invite investors and important people he meets from his work around to his house for dinner.

He pays a chef to cook so you don't get stressed out.

He claims that it's so he can woo the investor, but he really just wants a chance to show off how amazing his mate is.

Kuusuke doesn't want any pups, he doesn't like them and he doesn't see the point of them, but he's the most fun uncle ever if Kusuo has any.

Don't get me wrong, Kusuo hates how he behaves as an uncle, but Kusuo's pups think he's the best person ever and also the coolest and he always lets them have so much sugar and do whatever they want!!!! Hell yeah!!!

Kusuo does not allow Kuusuke to babysit alone.

Kusuo will only let his parents babysit in an emergency.

Poor Kusuo.

But back to Kuusuke!

I could see him getting a dog? A medium to big dog that's very patient.

You'll come home and the dog is wearing some kind of mech suit and Kuusuke's like, "Welcome home!" and you're like "I'm leaving again!"

He brings the chaos and the charm to your domestic life, that's for sure 😉

The main issue is that Kusuo is both 1) fully ignoring his inner omega and 2) not going into heats. His omega simply doesn't feel safe at home. (This isn't to say that Kusuo wouldn't refuse to go into heat if he could, because, he totally fucking would.) He loves his mom, yes, but his dad is also there. His dad, who forces himself into the role of the protector and gets irritated when Kusuo's omega rejects him. His presence scares his omega off. And that's not even mentioning how much worse it had been with Kusuke lived at home, or even how exposed the cameras make Kusuo feel.

If someone didn't feel comfortable letting their hindbrain unwind at home, instinct would drive them to find people they felt safe with and relax there. This often is easily achieved because people tend to automatically form packs outside of the immediate family, even as puppies. It helps them further figure out their dynamics, and offers them a support group. Unfortunately, Kusuo has only ever had one nesting mate (Essentially a term for two omegas who spend heats together. They're often very close, both in their day-to-day life and when their hindbrains are in control.) in his life before, and that was all the way back in primary school. So, he just... doesn't ever have anyone. And he doesn't have heats.

And he's fine with that. Really.

...He's lying. He's very depressed. His omega is anxious and stressed out all the time, whining about this and that, highly starved of affection. All the stress increases his own, and makes his powers more difficult to control, which increases his own stress, which then increases the need to have a heat and relax and-

Vicious cycle.

He also refuses to nest. Nests for omegas are very, very important. It's their space, theirs to protect and stay safe from things that could potentially hurt them. It's where they would cuddle with their pack, take care of sick or hurting members, and maybe even where they would keep any puppies they have with a mate.

(Oh my god, I forgot to clarify but mpreg isn't a thing here, asdfghjkl. Only people with reproductive organs can have pups. But omegas tend to have those instincts we associate with mothers today!)

Kusuo doesn't keep one because he's used to his space being violated, and he would just get so fucking upset whenever it happened that one day he realized it just...wasn't worth the trouble. Especially not if his family is just going to keep ruining its sanctuary.

The fact that he's not nesting worries Kurumi so, so much. It's a sign of general unwellness/unhappiness in omegas, whether they physically cannot build one or there's a mental block there. So, she pushes him to be with others and form a pack in the hopes it'll spur some of those long-buried instincts.

The thing of it is, Kusuo didn't latch onto his family's pack properly. His omega just didn't feel welcomed or comfortable. And Kusuo is the type to stay after being burned once, so he just never reaches out. And he expects people not to reach out, either. After all, who would want an omega that's so surly and snappish? Or even worse, one who can't properly nest or have heats?

And then Nendo arrives.

1.     Kusuo Saiki – Rimming – Kusuo grips the sheets so hard that they tear, but he’s too caught up in the feeling of you tongue inside of him to care. Shino feels extremely exposed in what he’s wearing, or perhaps more accurately, what he’s not wearing. He can feel his kikaichu buzzing under his skin, unsettled by his nerves. He’s not used to this, but, as he catches a glimpse of the hungry look in your eyes, he thinks that it’s not so bad to have someone think he’s sexy for once.

3.     Shouta Aizawa – hair pulling – The dull and vaguely painful ache on his scalp sends shivers down his spine. It just elevates the pleasure in the best way. He loves rough sex. The faster and harder the better, and hair pulling is by far his favourite part. He can feel one of your hands leave his hips and instead bury itself in his messy hair, yanking it back and forcing him to bare his neck for you. The pleasure shoots down from his scalp and a moan forces its way out of his mouth as he clenches around you. There’s no better way to distress, not for him.

4.     Light Yagami – Thigh fucking – You were making him regret asking for your help with his heat. All he wants is for you to just knot him so he can get back to work. He can’t stand his heats, he wants to get them over with as soon as possible, but clearly you had other plans. His arms are tied together behind his back with rope that he didn’t know you owned, feet tied together in a similar way. You were holding him against you, fucking his thighs from behind. He can feel you slipping in between his thighs, seeking your own pleasure, using him like a toy. He feels angry. Angry at you for using him like this in his heat, but also anger at himself for getting off on it. He growls at you to hurry up but all he gets in return is a laugh and a reprimand about patience. He knows you would stop and knot him if he seriously asked you to, so why was he letting himself be teased like this. He studiously ignores the throbbing heat in between his legs.  No reason. No reason at all.
