platonically intimate rowan and mc makes my heart happy. just stroking rowans hair while his head is in mcs lap and cooking food together and sharing a bed and helping each other with stage outfits and <3 i hope seven suffers as much as mc in the sevenmancer route (affectionate) (by extention this may or may not make rowan suffer but i choose not to think about that. sob.)

There's actually a moment I had thought up in the shower (pls excuse me thats where i get my best ideas) of how the convo went down

a scene you can *possibly* get in chapter two where MC lays down in their bunk and Rowan is asleep. His arm is hanging low and MC, not having a Good Time (for reasons I can't share) asks Rowan something. He senses something is off and he is so so sleepy he can hardly talk but he refuses to sleep until MC confirms they're fine by squeezing his hand. Once MC does that, he immediately knocks out. Even though he's immensely tired, he doesn't go back to sleep until he's made sure a friend of his is alright.

It's little things like that where I try to let how close the friendships are in The Band. All of them read much more than friends to me. I feel like Iris, Devyn, Rowan, Jazzy and MC are soulmates.

I think I enjoy writing the band's friendship more than anything else haha mostly because it's a bit rare to be friends with your high school mates for that long and still have that level of closeness they have. MC will definitely be on the giving end of comfort for all of them in the story, so that's interesting !

Sebastian Headcanons

Hi! I do have a Sebastian + Abigail and Sam post here, but it's pretty outdated and I'm assuming you also want some romance in there. So here's a new post! By the way, all my posts are SFW.

TW: Death mention

I'm making Sebastian 27 instead of 25. He's still pretty young, but nearing the end of his twenties. Abigail likes to tease him about it.

Keeping with the old post, he has heterochromia. His right eye is green, and his left eye is brown. He went through a phase of hating it though because he thought it was weird. But that was mostly during high school.

When he takes you out on his bike, he likes to do tricks. Bro breaks the law, it's expected from him. He's not going to go too far, but he'll show you some things he's picked up from magazines and nights driving alone. It ends in a lot of screaming from you.

You wear matching outfits. It doesn't have to be the same style, but something small like an animal themed accessory or even just matching socks. He likes to be connected to you in that way.

Before the community centre is fixed up, he likes to have dates in there. It's a great way to get a spooky atmosphere without actually having to go to the local cemetery. It's good if you have a fear of ghosts and don't want to go anywhere surrounded by dead people. It's great because you can laugh as loud as you want without consequence. Nobody's going to search in the old community centre, anyway.

Sometimes you two just snuggle in his bed. He tends to stay up late and wake up later, so he's usually in the middle of sleep when you come to visit. You just lay down and get comfortable next to him. Sometimes he even hugs you back.

Speaking of sleeping, he snores. It's not loud and obnoxious like Sam's, but rather quiet and at least something most people can deal with. But he tends to snore right away, so if you really hate snoring you'll want to fall asleep first.

Idk I think there is some added context to the “anime pretty boy” stuff going around- that being a lot of where it’s started was from a tiktok of someone talking about detransitioning because they went bald and fearmongering about how they were in essence “a destroyed little girl” now- most of the “lol did you expect to be a pretty anime boy” stuff has been, in my experience, coming from transmascs owning their bodies on testosterone and being like “sorry you didn’t realize you were gonna look like your dad- your loss because this rules!” Idk people give transmasc people a lot of shit for their bodies and I don’t want to take away from that but i don’t know if people saying stuff abt not looking like an anime boy are non-transmasc people putting down transmascs as much as a semi-needed reality check about testosterone, especially considering the new trend online of fetishizing skinny androgynous youthfulness to hell and back

I mean, I think it just depends on who's saying it, why, and how they're saying it.

"I don't look like a pretty anime boy and that rules, being a hot dad is great actually" - very welcome expression of self love that encourages transmascs to accept and celebrate their bodies!

"lol of course you look like a fat bald loser, what'd you think testosterone was gonna do to you? make you a pretty anime boy? get a grip fujoshi" - openly transphobic, hateful TERF nonsense that shames transmascs for transitioning and pressures them to hate their bodies.

The idea that the people "fetishizing" youthful, skinny, and attractive men are all transmascs hoping to transition suggests that transition is not about personal fulfillment and self-actualization, but rather about Becoming The Object Of Your Gender Envy, becoming the thing you fetishize, or becoming attractive.

It's a TERF myth; the misconception that transmascs (and trans people in general!) are transitioning because of sexual perversion and fetishization rather than the simple, authentic desire to feel at home in our bodies.

If transmascs are feeling pressured to conform to those beauty standards, or are struggling to feel attractive or desirable post-transition, that's not because they were "fetishizing (that version of) maleness" and were not transitioning for authentic reasons. It's because patriarchal society is telling them they ruined their bodies, and they have failed as women and as men.

What's Music Man up to in your au? Does he have a handler too?

He actually has 2 due to his size.

There's emergency shut offs on his legs in case for some reason he rampages or glitches out.

But he's so unbelievably chill that his Handlers are more or less just to keep kids off of him or out of his way when he's walking around. As with canon SB, DJMM can clean up his whole area on his own. Sometimes he has access to other parts of the building to help clean up

He's unable to speak fully, and has made his own version of speaking through music and beats. It's harsh to listen to, but you get used to it

He's more or less left alone by everyone because he's shown no signs of aggression. His code is complex, but he himself is a little less sentient compared to the in house built animatronics

As with SB canon, DJMM remains untouched by the glitched coding. His code is spaghetti as all hell and would have been too hard to get into. So it was decided to just leave him be. He do still get moody during his Bouncer Mode :)

I did find Jimin to be a bit questionable at times, so in my view some Jimin criticism wasn't always groundless, but yes, you're right, akgaes are really the worst. I was reading a few weeks ago some Jimin-biased blogs who happened to mention some things that grabbed my attention. In no time, I realised they're actually very bitter, very nasty former shippers, tearing down half the band --besides their former ship. They'd have their moments of clarity though, before bitterness and hate dominate again. I get they can't stand Jungkook, Taehyung thriving together. So yes, I’d never believe I’d see the day when a Jkkr would seem to me like a decent people, in comparison.

Edward honestly has no coordination so he'll most likely end up watching you with the dopey stunned and entranced expression he always has when you're just being you. Somehow, you manage to be the best version of yourself, always dancing and singing and happy, bringing light and warmth so unfamiliar to him in the apartment, and it's so strange having someone so alive in a horrible city like Gotham. Then he visualises the town deep in water, or that cliche dancing in flames, and hell yeah, he'll dance with you then, when the city rightfully belongs to you 😍

For now, though, he'll just watch you laugh and spin about in time with the Just Dance character with a wistful half-smile on his face, until The Riddler grants that wish.

What was hsi first reaction to him?

Mike was forced into helping design DJMM, he didn’t want to but he didn’t get much say in the matter. It’s why DJMM has a security mode :)

Mikes most comfortable with DJMM because he and Jeremy were the ones who wrote and designed all the coding and such, DJMM is probably the most secure out of all the animatronics

What would you do if your a Tiny or a Giant?

Depends on the context of the situation and the actual sizes of those involved. Like, did I shrink? Grow? Is this a universe where I was always that size? Be specific.

To keep it simple, if I'm the smaller one in the scenario, first thing I'd do is get somewhere safe. Can't be out in the middle of the floor, too dangerous. Gotta get to higher ground. I'd want to get help ASAP though, so I'd also want to find somewhere I can still be seen. Once I'm noticed, quickly befriend the nearest giant (I at least hope they're friendly) and stay with them until we figure out what to do about my size.

If I were big (in this case regular size compared to someone small), it's fairly simple. I'd make sure any tiny I encounter doesn't feel threatened, figure out who they are and what their deal is, and do my best to help them if they'll accept it. Once we're more comfortable around each other, we can find some ways to have fun with the size difference (while still hopefully trying to be safe about it).

If I were an actual, factual, building-sized giant, well... depending on how big I am, I'd avoid cities at all costs. Find some friends I can trust. If it's a scenario where I grew to this size unexpectedly, get some help from whoever I can, unless it's the Government, since they'd most likely either try to kill me or use me as a weapon of some kind, which... yeah no thank you.

Ik your probly tired of hearing about the mcu and its fans but I just remembered that some on Twitter argued that it was ok that peggy carter or cyintha glass to exist in the mcu because that's one less nazi.

Like how do you miss understand a very important part of history and not understand why it's problematic to have a character who was a nazi be good this is the whole reason I don't like mcu zemo and peggy carter because I feels like it's ignoring a part of history.

To say MCU Peggy is one fewer Nazi is uhhhh. Incorrect.

Because: they didn't JUST take the character design of Cynthia and leave all her Nazi behaviour in the comics.

MCU Peggy's Nazi behaviour is NOT just a one-off retconned thing from the WS movie, and exhibited nowhere else. She is linked to the hiring of multiple foundational Hydra members in SHIELD.

(Arnim Zola, shown three times if we're including other universes so it's definitely an intrinsic part of her character; she, alone, job interviewed Werner Reinhardt; she, personally, alone, hired Johann Fennhoff when he was pretending to be good, because she is The World's Most Rubbish Spy... (Fun fact, that means if you killed Peggy off in 1945 then Bucky would never have been turned into the Winter Soldier, since she hired both Hydra members responsible for his torture/mind-control!) ...Mitchell Carson, and since the Winter Soldier program seems to be linked with the early Red Room, then her buddy Dorothy Underwood the Black Widow also counts! And as the saying goes: if you have 10 people at the table and one Nazi, then you have 10 Nazis.)

...And now they've bought the comics and changed comics-Peggy to match comics-Cynthia/MCU-Peggy, their solution to all this is to claim Peggy simply didn't know Hydra were in SHIELD.

IIRC, new-comics Peggy calls Bucky "insane" for questioning her integrity (right before she viciously attacks him of course, like an innocent person?? uhh… authoritarian much?) and she describes the mere suggestion of her knowing about Hydra as being "unthinkable".

(Well now, to be fair, everything is unthinkable when you're an idiot.)

So that's the MCU's retconned fix for this: not even claiming she didn't do it, just saying she was incompetent and oblivious for decades before. Which is also: nonsense.

Because Zola was in her bunker. Her photo and office were 1 short elevator ride away from his. He was on the front page of the news. Even if she were illiterate, he was still in the photo!

Who did she think Howard was talking about all those years, whenever he mentioned Arnim?? Where did she think he was getting all this tesseract-based innovation from, the fairies??

Most damning of all, in CATWS as soon as Steve comes sniffing round, telling her he's having second thoughts about SHIELD, her response is to laugh at him, tell him he's being melodramatic, and then that he should not focus on the past (eg. which "we" rather mucked up, she admits… that's the Royal we!) And days later Zola is free to try and kill Steve for the second time. Even when she's supposed to be demented, she's still conveniently covering her own ass!

The problem goes right back to the comics...

It was a colossal tin-eared giant oozing dick of a move to pair off Captain America, the Hitler-punching Jewish Golem, with a Nazi character in the first place.

That, and giving a Nazi character a chance to 'redeem' themselves, is directly antithetical to what Steve was created to represent, and so disrespectful of a choice for a Jewish creation (let alone one created with the specific purpose of encouraging anti-Fascism) that it's bordering on antisemitism imo. No one in their right mind would believe this specific set of Jewish creators could be cool with that.

Also, the belief (you can kind of tell they had in the Cynthia comic) that a Nazi killing another Nazi somehow makes that killed Nazi less of a Nazi?? Like, Red Skull killed her so she must be okay?? Uhh, no??

(The Agent Carter s1 book also tries to push the idea that Cynthia died to save Steve, which is - again - nonsense. If you look at the panels, all she did is throw Steve his shield in Red Skull's presence, and Red Skull shot her because he was annoyed. She didn't leap in between them or anything!)

And, to draw on that Nazi character at all, when there are multiple Cap love interests they could've used - many of them brunette too, if they were stuck with brunette casting - including at least one Jewish woman?? MCU were drawing on the Ultimates run, where iirc his love interest was a Betsy Ross (brunette!) who could easily have been swapped out for the Betty Ross from the Hulk movies who they already had on-tap, as it were.

Picking Cynthia was just an unnecessary, unethical move. That character should've been avoided at all costs, not seen as inspiration fodder (doubly so, to avoid associations with Julia Koenig, another brunette Nazi villainess - AKA Kreigerfrau - who was also was present in Project Rebirth in the comics and stole superserum for herself, like multiple villains and MCU Peggy!)

And if they were that desperate to have Steve's love interest 'know' him before the serum, then they should've A) had her actually deign to speak to him in the movie, B) just picked a damn character who actually knew him before the serum! Like his fiancée Gail Richards!

But they wanted to water down Steve's motive for fighting Nazis (because he hates them and what they represent, which makes Disney uncomfy), and water down the homoerotic undertones of his devotion to Bucky (which makes Disney uncomfy; only gay villains, pls!) So they replaced it with 'wanting to be big so he can get a girl', so that MCU Peggy could seem important to him.

Then assuming (as that creepy dead-eyed fuck Kevin Feige heinously continues to do) that being short and disabled somehow therefore precluded Steve from having a lover is so... ugh, ableist and incel-y and again completely ignores the actual character of Steve, for whom women are not and never have been the main drive.
