Currently thinking about how Cubone is a hero option in Red rescue team. A lot of their dialog implies that they're mourning. There's some good tragedy in there somewhere. A distant sense of longing, mourning a person that you don't remember the name or face of. That crippling guilt of not being able to remember someone you love. The heartache from the idea that you may never remember who they were. But despite that you still feel that longing for them. You can't accept they're gone, but you can't even remember who they were. The loneliness that comes from a hole in your heart that you dont know the shape of. Those feelings are still there, but you don't know who they were for.

so, with rt having their anniversary on april 1st, they decided this year to celebrate for 20 whole weeks for their 20th anniversary. with one episode a week on fridays starting in march and ending in july, they've released one-off mystery episodes of their shows and products that have been cancelled, put on hiatus, or otherwise ended naturally. the exceptions are on the spot and camp camp, the former of which is coming back later this year, and the latter having a new season premiere later next year in 2024, both having been confirmed at rtx 2023.

it makes sense for rt to build up such a major milestone by teasing what they're doing to celebrate, but i think the way they've done it is...

not great.

#self #fantasy costume #If I had the money for a custom tailored fantasy-ish victorian-ish suit instead of piecing together random thrift store items with like walm #rt halloween costume type jackets and stuff.. #unstoppable..... #I would actually lean more straight up historical with my wardrobe it's just that everything I own basically is thrifted aside from a very #small portion of things (like usually socks for example I get from ebay. wigs from ebay. things that it's hard to find in thrift stores. etc #) and I rarely ever find stuff like that at the bins. Your closest bet is like. hopeing that the week you come in just so happens to also be #a week that a church costume department recently donated a bunch of old stuff. but I just haven't really had much luck finding like fancy ve #sts and suit coats and cloaks or like tunics and etc. etc. #Styles like mori kei or cult party kei are pretty accessible and easy for places like the bins (where youre usually digging through piles of #curtains and fabric scraps and doilies anyway). but finding like.. a straight up tudor england costume or something is . VERY rare #Sometimes you do find halloween costumes. Or like. stuff that's clearly like cheap 'Goth' stuff from shein or aliexpress that someone has do #nated and they can be a LITTLE okay in terms of usable for costumes. But you rarely find actual good quality stuff. obviously because like #real very good quality historical costumes are expensive and most people aren't just like 'yeah dump it off to goodwill' lol #In an ideal world though I would have fancy top hats and neck ruffles and stuff .. know this ghhjbhj #Lack of that will not stop me from taking picturesin basically the same outfit 6000 times though. I don't know if you've seen it, but I just saw a tweet from the RT store account and they changed their profile picture too and if you thought the red orange was bad you're in for a surprise (at least the letters are black?? I don't know anymore lmao)

i saw it a few minutes before you sent this ask lol

it doesn't violate my eyes, but it still violates my soul. besides the lack of consistency in regards of the colors of the main logo, the colors are still way too harsh for no reason.

the black is a breath of fresh air to see, and i think the lowercase letters makes the text easier to read. the letters are (imo) a bit too close together, but it's still more legible than the other eyesore lol
