summary: when your roommate James comes home after a night out with his friends, he's acting even more affectionate than usual
cw: alcohol
modern au
roommate!James x fem!reader ♡ 2.7k words
You can always hear when James’ friends come over. The door opens and the sound of them comes pouring through into your flat, the boys always in the middle of bickering or joking or telling some incredibly animated story.
When you hear their noise late on a Friday night, you pause the movie on your laptop and head for the door, drawn towards their loudness. James’ friends are rowdier than anyone you hang out with, but it’s a happy sort of ruckus. They’re fun and hilarious and surprisingly kind, and you enjoy chatting when they come over.
“Hi, gorgeous,” Sirius sing-songs, spotting you as soon as you emerge from your room. You laugh at his scratchy, worn-out voice. He sounds like he’s probably been singing at the top of his lungs all night. Dark eyeliner has transferred to the skin under his eyes, but Sirius is the only person you know with his particular ability to make dishevelment look rock-and-roll instead of slobbish.
“Hi,” you say back, grinning at him. Your eyes search behind him to find Remus, just coming through the doorway. As always, he looks completely different from his other half; whereas Sirius has unmistakably just gotten home from a night out, Remus could just as easily have been at the library in his jeans and t-shirt, except for the faint black smudge where Sirius’ eyeliner has seemingly rubbed off on his cheek. Then you catch sight of James, drooping like an overwatered flower with his arm slung around Remus’ shoulder. “Is he okay?”
“Yeah, he’ll be alright,” Remus grunts, heaving your roommate through the entryway. He tries to send you a smile of greeting, but it’s more of a well-meaning grimace. “He just needs to drink some water.”
“I won,” Sirius says giddily, stumbling over and grabbing your arm. “I outdrank James Potter.”
There’s a nervous edge to the laugh that bubbles out of your throat. “That’s great, Sirius, congratulations.” You cast an alarmed look towards Remus. “You all had a competition?”
Remus shakes his head. “They had a competition.”
“I won,” James says suddenly, picking his head up as if revived from a deep sleep. “Don’t listen to him, Y/N, I’m the winner.”
Sirius makes a derisive sound. “You can’t even walk, Potter.”
“I can,” James defends himself, and slips his arm from around Remus’ shoulder. Both you and Remus put your hands out cautiously like when a toddler takes its first steps, but James totters safely to the couch, leaning against it like he’s just finished a marathon and directing a smug smile towards Sirius. “Suck it, Pads.”
Sirius’ lips curl impishly. His unsteady gaze settles on Remus, still hovering by the door. “Gotta get home to do that.”
“Alright,” Remus says quickly, stepping forward to take his boyfriend by the shoulders and steering him towards the door. “We’re gonna go home and get to bed—to sleep.” He’s blushing something fierce, and you do your absolute best not to smile. “Prongs.” James looks up from where he’s been toying with the fabric of your couch throw. “Drink some water, and then go to sleep, yeah?” Remus raises his brows, waiting for confirmation, and James presses a solemn hand to his heart.
“Your wish is my command, Moony-boy.”
Remus rolls his eyes but turns to go, sending you a quick goodnight with an apology embedded in his voice before he shuts the door behind him. You lock it, and turn back around to find James performing a lazy somersault over the back of the couch and onto the cushions.
“James,” you laugh, and he smiles up at you like he doesn’t know what’s so funny but is happy to be a part of it anyway, “do you want to come into the kitchen to have some water?”
James turns pensive. “Is that where you’re going?”
“Mhm.”
“Then sure.” He hops up a bit too fast, and has to put his arms out in front of him to regain his balance.
You take his forearm in your hand, knowing you won’t be able to support his weight if he really falls but hoping you can at least slow his descent, and begin walking him toward the kitchen. “Are you feeling dizzy?” you ask him.
James hums. “A bit. But in a good way, you know?”
You don’t, but you nod anyway. “Well,” you say with certainty you can’t feel, “that’s good. Chill here for a second, okay?” You prop him up against the counter, and James melts against it instantly in that easy way he has, leaning back on his elbows and crossing his ankles in front of him. The edge of the counter has to be digging into his back, but James makes it look like the most comfortable spot in the flat.
You start to grab a glass from the cabinet but then think the better of it, opting for a less destructible plastic cup. You fill it with icy water from the tap.
“Alright.” You pass it to him. “Don’t drink it too fast.”
James takes the cup with a smile that’s really much sweeter than your tiny gesture warrants. Then he proceeds to slide the rest of the way down the counter, until he’s sitting with his legs spread out in front of him on the floor. After a moment, you decide to join him, crossing your legs under you and letting your back rest beside his. The floor just seems like the place to be right now.
For the first time since you’ve known him, James seems content to sit in silence, sipping at his water. Neither of you are looking at each other, or really anywhere in particular. It’s definitely a Friday night, more of the noise of voices and traffic making their way up to your flat than you hear on most days of the week, but your home itself is quiet. The light in the kitchen is dim, coming in from the lamp you’ve left on in the living room, and your body relaxes instinctively in the peaceful dark.
James has nearly emptied the cup when he says, “Hey,” as if he’s just remembered something important.
You look at him. “What?”
“There’s no ice in here.”
You raise your eyebrows. “Did you want ice? I can put some in, I just thought you preferred drinks without ice.”
Even in the dim light, you can make out enough of James’ eyes to see the brown in them go absolutely molten. He turns toward you more fully, his shoulder and cheek squished up against the cabinets. “Aww, you knew.”
You laugh at him, his smushed cheek pushing his glasses up on his face and his bottom lip jutting out slightly. The effect is that he looks both worryingly drunk and decidedly endearing. “Of course I know,” you say. “We’re roommates. I’m bound to pick up on things.”
Your words do nothing to curb James’ adoration. “Still, you noticed,” he says, maudlin. “Thanks, sweetheart.”
Sweetheart. The word resounds in your head like the happy chime of a bell. James is always calling you that, but usually it seems thrown away, a light little endearment he tacks onto his addresses without thinking. This feels different. It lingers on his tongue like caramel, soft and sticky sweet. Sweetheart.
“Of course,” you say again, and you’re grateful for the poor lighting that’s hiding your blush. “Ready to go to bed?”
James looks at you like you’ve asked him to solve a calculus equation, thick brows knitting together. Maybe it’s the endearment still ringing in your head, but you really want to smooth the crease from between them with your thumb. You don’t.
“I dunno,” he says after a moment. “Are you tired?”
“A little,” you admit. “Aren’t you?”
He shrugs. “I could be.” And then he’s hauling himself up, an overly complicated process that involves getting his feet underneath him while he’s already using the counter to pull himself off the floor. You have to bite back a smile as you watch, and when he’s done James extends a hand to you. As if you’re the one who needs help.
You take it but don’t actually put any of your weight on him as you stand, grabbing his empty cup from the counter. James’ hand is big, engulfing yours easily, and the condensation from the cool water still lingers on his palm. He doesn’t let go as you start towards his bedroom. You tell yourself it’d be mean to pull away on your own.
“Oh!” he exclaims, once again like he’s discovered something fascinating. “I haven’t even asked—how’s your night been?”
You laugh again. You can never seem to stop laughing around James. “It’s been good, thanks. Not as eventful as yours, I take it.”
James hums in unhappy affirmation. “Lucky you.”
“Well, seems like you got the true night-out experience.” You bring him to sit on his bed, bending to untie his shoes for him and setting them by the door. “Do you wanna sleep in that or change into pajamas?” you ask, fighting the urge to tack on the honey that pushes at your lips.
There’s no deliberation there. “Pajama pants, at least. I can’t wear jeans in bed, m’not a monster.”
You smile to yourself, locating a pair of pajama pants on the floor and holding them up for him to see. “These okay?”
“Yeah, thanks.”
You toss them to him. James starts to strip, and you turn around quickly, going into the bathroom. “So, aside from the drinking contest, did you have a good time tonight?”
“Yeah,” he says lightly. You fill the cup with water from James’ sink and find a bottle of ibuprofen in the drawer underneath. “It wasn’t bad. Remus is so busy lately, it’s good to get to see him at all, and beating Sirius is always fun.” He gives a little laugh. “He’s such a sore loser.”
“He seemed to think he’d won,” you say, your tone teasingly dubious.
A harrumph. “If Remus doesn’t set him straight on that, I’ll do it tomorrow.”
You chuckle.
“You’ll tell ‘em, won’t you?”
“For sure. Do you have your pants on yet?”
“Oh. Yeah.” You go back into the bedroom to find James comfy under the covers, smiling sheepishly. “I didn’t know you were waiting for me to tell you, sorry.”
“No worries.” You smile. He looks so sweet like this, curls splayed out around his head on the pillow the way a kid draws rays around the sun. You set the cup and pill bottle on his nightstand, using your proximity to study his face. His pupils are huge and unfocussed, and the smile he’s aiming at you is a bit too dopey for your liking. “You said you were dizzy…do you think you’re going to be sick?”
“No.” James starts to push himself up as if to make his point, then decides against it, resting his head against the edge of the mattress with a tiny grimace. “Maybe.”
“That’s okay,” you reassure him, grabbing a wastebasket from under his desk. “Here, I’m going to put this by the bed just in case, okay? And you’ve got water and ibuprofen on the nightstand.”
James doesn’t respond. He’s looking at you dazedly.
“James.” You tap his cheek lightly. “Do you understand? You need to use the wastebasket if you feel sick.”
His hand emerges from beneath the covers, fingers braceleting your wrist. “Stay with me,” he mumbles. You’re glad he’s definitely too out of it to feel the quick bumping of your pulse beneath his fingers. When you hesitate a second too long, James tightens his grip beseechingly. “Please, sweetheart?”
There it is again. Your brain buzzes in response.
“Alright,” you whisper, brushing a soothing touch against the inside of his forearm, and James releases you. “I was watching a movie before you got home. Want to finish it?”
He agrees, and you go across the hall, retrieving your laptop. You climb over him on the bed, pretending not to feel the brush of a big hand across your hip as though meant to steady you. You settle your laptop between the two of you and press play on the movie.
James leans over, resting his head on your shoulder. “You’re always watching this,” he murmurs. “You don’t get tired of it?”
“Not really,” you reply. “It’s my favorite. But if you are, I can change it.”
He makes a humming sound, and you feel the vibrations in your shoulder. “No, s’alright. Bet you can quote half the film, though, can’t you?”
You grin. “I’m scared,” you say, in time with the actress on your screen. “I don’t wanna get hurt.” You can feel James smiling, his cheek smushing against your shoulder. You lower your voice into a gruff mockery of the male actor’s intonation. “I’m not gonna hurt you.”
James makes a soft sound of amusement. “Cute,” he murmurs, more to himself than to you.
You fall into an easy silence, blue light cast over your features as the familiar scenes play out quietly on your laptop. You keep sneaking glances at James, thinking he’s either about to fall asleep or be sick, but he’s watching the movie contentedly, head a solid but welcome weight on your shoulder. He’s evidently decided to discard the shirt he’d worn to the bar, and the skin of his bare shoulder is warm where it presses against your arm. He adjusts his head a little, and his curls tickle the underside of your jaw. You don’t know how he gets them so soft. Not through any strict regimen or product, apparently. One good thing about having a guy for a roommate is that he’s never the one who runs out the hot water; he’s in and out of the shower in ten minutes every time. And yet, if you look closely enough, you can usually find at least two or three perfect coils in his hair. Genetics, you suppose. James was blessed with a good lot of them.
The movie’s not half done before you’re yawning, your eyelids feeling like someone’s sewn fishing weights into them. You try not to shift, but your shoulders rise with the involuntary inhale, and James looks up at you. You yawn again, covering your mouth with one hand as a tear forms in the corner of your eye, squished out when you blink. You wipe it away.
“Wait,” James says. You go still, looking over at him curiously as he adjusts against the headboard of his bed, pushing himself further upright. He tilts his head. The back of his index finger brushes gently under your lashes. “You always get teary at night,” he says softly.
You know you should get out from under his touch, but you can’t make yourself. “I tear up a lot when I yawn.”
Just thinking about it has you yawning again, and James takes your face in his hand, catching the tear that falls from one eye.
“Don’t cry,” he begs you. “If you cry, I’ll cry.”
You take his wrist in your hand, giving him a small smile. “I’m not crying, James. I’m just tired.”
“Okay,” he murmurs, pressing a kiss, feather-light, just next to your eye. You freeze, but he doesn’t seem to notice. “Okay, m’sorry. You’re tired? Wanna go to sleep?”
You have to clear your throat to make sure your voice comes out right. “Sure.” It’s still a bit hoarse. “Wake me if you need anything, okay?”
James takes your hand, a willing captive between two of his as he draws it into his lap. He settles his head back onto your shoulder. “Okay. You’re too nice to me.”
“I’m not,” you say, before you can think the better of it. “You’re the nice one.”
James only hums.
You swallow. “Goodnight.”
You’re waiting for a response, the movie on your laptop just now getting to the scene where the love interests give in and confess their feelings for each other, when you feel a wet spot forming near the collar of your shirt. Slowly, careful not to jostle him, you tilt your head to look down at the source of the drool puddle.
James already asleep.

Scary Talks At Midnight
Alex Morgan x fem!reader
a/n: just a small random blurb to my criminally underrated wife on this app
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
“I’m gonna get you!” You taunt, chasing the energetic little girl around the house, trying your best to tire her out.
“Mama, help me! Mommy is trying to get me!” Charlie yells, jumping into Alex’s arms so she feels safer and can see from a taller height.
When you turn the corner, you notice the little girl looking at you with a smile, so you begin to tiptoe tauntingly toward her, crouching lower to look like a monster. All of a sudden you run at her, making her shriek and giggle when you start nibbling at her leg.
“Mama, help me!”
“I told you I’d get you!” You state, letting out an evil laugh when you take the little girl out of your wife’s arms and head into your shared bedroom.
Throwing Charlie gently on the bed, you pin down her arms and continue on your nibbling fest, tickling her all over and making her laugh loudly. Alex watches from the doorway with a wide grin at the two of you together. When you first started dating three years ago, she was scared you wouldn’t be able to handle a kid, but boy did you prove her wrong.
Three years dating and one married, and she wouldn’t change a thing about you, your marriage, or your little family. She’s brought down back to earth when she hears that the giggles have stopped and you’re both now catching your breath, backs laying against the bed.
“Okay you two, you had your fun but now it’s time for bed.” Alex claps her hands in encouragement even though it still results in a whine from the little girl. I know, bedtime is the worst!” Your wife fake agrees, shooing the little girl to her room so she can lie down.
“C’mon, Mommy! You gotta tuck me in!” Charlie shouts from down the hall which makes both you and Alex chuckle from different rooms.
Alex says her goodnight and waits out her doorway, bowing down and gesturing for you to go in dramatically. “You have been summoned.”
You shake your head at her antics and head into the room, kneeling beside the now-exhausted kid. Brushing her hair to the side, you press a kiss on her forehead and mumble, “Sweet dreams, I love you.” When you start to stand up, a tiny hand grabs yours, pulling you back down.
“Mommy?”
“Yes, sweety?” You ask, stroking her hair to soothe her to sleep. You expect her to ramble just so she can stay up longer, but what you don’t expect are the next words to come out of her mouth.
“I want a baby sister.”
Mouth falling open, you turn around to see if your wife has heard it but she’s not there, must have already gone back into your bedroom. You’re quite thankful though because you have actually been thinking about this all on your own and you don’t want to freak her out.
“We’ll see.” You whisper to Charlie’s sleeping form, pressing one last kiss to her hair before getting up and sneaking out, shutting her door quietly on the way.
Soon after you go through your nightly routine, you head over to the bed where your wife flings open the covers, patting your spot with her arms wide open. With no hesitation, you slot yourself into the brunette’s arms and snuggle up to her chest. Alex looks down with a loving smile and places a tender kiss on your forehead before grabbing the remote to start another episode of your nightly show.
You watch about four episodes and then decide to call it a night after looking at the time. Lying on your stomach, your head is turned towards the bedroom door and away from Alex. You try your best to go to sleep but with the thoughts of earlier tonight, you start wondering if Alex would even want another kid. Maybe she’s too busy with her career or maybe she just thinks one is enough.
With a slight huff, you turn your head, facing your wife’s peaceful state. A twitch of a smile crawls up on your face, so you decide to snake your hand under her shirt and scratch her stomach to which she replies with a satisfied hum, signaling she’s still somewhat awake.
Running your eyes down her face, all your worries leave your body and just positive thoughts overcome your mind. Alex, you, Charlie, and a baby having a picnic at a park, laughing and playing around, or you and the kids cheering on Alex at one of her games. Maybe you should bring it up now before you chicken out and never bring it up.
“Baby?”
“Hmm?” She hums, raising her eyebrows slightly but keeping her eyes closed.
“Can I talk to you about something?” You bite your lip and nervously twist your foot around in the sheets, causing Alex’s eye to creak open from knowing your tell.
“Of course, darling. What’s going on?” She rasps, shuffling closer to you so your noses almost touch, and loops her leg into yours, trying to remain as close as possible.
“You know I love you, Charlie, and our little family,” you stop to clear your throat while Alex nods in encouragement before continuing, “but have you ever thought about making our family a little less…little?
“Are you asking me if I want another baby?” Your wife asks with a smile breaking over her face as you nod with your lip tucked into your mouth, holding back your own grin. “Yes! Of course, I want to have another baby with you!” She jumps on you, attacking your face with kisses as you laugh from both the sensation and the overwhelming joy you’re experiencing.
Pulling back, you both have lovesick looks in your eyes, now just staring at one another. Your hand reaches up and strokes her cheek, quickly pulling her down into a very much-needed kiss. Your tongues lazily work against each other, both still tired from the time of night it is.
“I hope you know, you’re carrying.” Alex mumbles against your lips, making you laugh into the kiss.
“I figured. The tougher one’s gotta do it.” You tease, turning away from her, pretending to go back to sleep only to be yanked and pulled into her front. Alex hums softly, relaxing with her arms wrapped around you and the excitement for the future. “We’ll talk about this more tomorrow, baby. Let’s go to bed.” You murmur.
“Yes we will, and maybe we can start the baby-making tomorrow.” Alex purrs, tugging at your earlobe with her teeth, but soon groaning in pain from your foot making contact with her leg.
“Alexandra Patricia Morgan, it is too late for you to be thinking like that.”

September 29th, 2022
"I am not going out with Jack, Trevor." Stass punctuated as she spoke, her expression annoyed. She was currently facetiming with her brother when she should've been studying for her Chemistry midterm.
Her macbook was wide open as she laid in her bed, looking at the call. She knew the only reason he had been calling was to address those stupid rumors online.
"I know you aren't, he woulda told me." Trevor leaned back in his chair, a frown playing on his lips as he glanced at his sister on the screen. "He was flirting with you, though."
"Yeah, so what?" Stass responded. She sighed, running a hand through her hair. "Hasn't he always flirted with me, why's it a big deal now?"
"You know why, Stass." Trevor sighed, his frustration evident. You did know why, but it was just another baseless rumor from when you two were teenagers, it didn't matter.
"Luke does not like me, okay?"
It had been a joke since Stass had met the brothers that somehow, she were gonna end up dating one of them. Stass never how that started but all she knew is that it pissed her and Trevor off, because it wasn't true. Well, for the most part.
"Look, I'm not saying he does or doesn't. I'm just saying you have to be delicate when it comes to these kinda things, especially after this summer, with the whole lake house thing-"
"Stop saying that."
"Stop saying what?" Trevor's eyebrows raised, his tone annoyed as he waited for Stassie to continue.
Stassie's frustration bubbled to the surface. "Stop bringing up the stupid lake house incident like it's some kind of defining moment in our lives. It was just a misunderstanding, and we've moved on from it. Besides, Luke and I are fine. We've always been fine."
"Dude, relax. I'm not saying you guys aren't fine or whatever, stop getting so goddamn defensive. I'm just saying this entire situation is just sensitive for Luke, alright, tread lightly."
Stass didn't feel like arguing right now, especially over this stupid topic. She should be studying for her midterm but this situation seemed to keep coming up. "Luke is fine. But okay, whatever. I won't stir the pot anymore."
"Just be how you are, you know? Just minus the flirtiness." Trevor sighed. "I guess rizz is just hereditary."
"I can't believe you just said rizz out loud, Trevor. That was so cringe." Stass rolled her eyes as she looked back at the screen, her brother laughing back at her.
"Shut up. But I gotta go, I have an early practice tomorrow."
"Okay, Trev. I'll talk to you later, goodnight. I love you."
"Love ya too-"
She hung up quickly and shut her macbook, sighing. She could not believe that this whole thing was caused by a few comments left by Jack, they were meaningless. At least, that was what she was trying to convince herself. Before she could open her macbook to study again, she heard a knock from her door.
"Come in."
Parker came into the room quickly, "Hey Stass."
Stassie eyed Parker suspiciously as he entered the room, her eyebrows knitting together in curiosity. "Hey, Parker. What's up?"
Parker gave her his best charming smile as he approached her bed, taking a seat beside her. Stassie resisted the urge to roll her eyes as he continued, "Listen, I need a favor. The guys and I are going to a party after the game on Friday, and I know you swore off alcohol, but can you still come with us?"
Stassie furrowed her brows, sensing there was more to his request. "I was already planning on going to the game, you know that-"
"Okay great, can you bring your short friend? Shit, what's her name... Uhh... Samantha?"
Stassie's brow furrowed in confusion. "I don't know a Samantha, do you mean Chloe?"
Parker scratched his head, looking momentarily flustered. "Yeah, Chloe! That's the one. Can you take her? She's really pretty and I wanna get to know her."
"Why don't you be a man and just dm her?" Stass half joked as she stared back at him.
"Shut up, dude and just do me a favor, alright?"
Stass shrugged, knowing Parker well enough to understand his banter. "Alright, alright fine. But she's way outta your league. Like wayyy outta your league."
Parker rolled his eyes, playfully swatting at Stassie's arm. "Thanks for the vote of confidence, Stass. But you miss 100% of the shots you don't make."
She couldn't help but shake her head at Parker's attempt at motivational quotes. "Yeah, well, just don't embarrass yourself too much, okay? Chloe's not exactly easy to impress."
Parker grinned confidently. "Oh, don't worry about me. I've got charisma for days."
Stass cringed once again before she sighed. "Whatever, can you leave now, I'm tryna study."
Parker chuckled, raising his hands in mock surrender. "Alright, alright, I'm out. Thanks, Stass."
"You owe me a vodka soda Friday night." Stass smiled as she looked up at the brunette.
"I thought you swore off alcohol-"
"That was last week, okay? Now leave before I change my mind." Stass flashed a playful grin as she spoke, watching Parker get up and walk towards the door.
"Okay, whatever."
──
"I think I'm gonna step out for a sec, Chloe. I'll see you two later." Stass took that as her cue to leave before she wiggled her eyebrows at Parker, walking away from her two friends. Now that her mission was complete, she had to go find some water. She has had one too many vodka sodas and she didn't wanna be hungover tomorrow morning.
As she searched the entire house for any sign of water, she soon gave up and sighed. This was a frat house, the only thing they had was beer and chips everywhere, what was she expecting? As she stumbled through the crowd, trying to find an exit, she felt someone grab her arm.
Before she could pull away, she looked up at the tall figure and realized it was only Luke. "By any chance, do you know where I can find some water that isn't from a sink?"
Luke smiled as he nodded, "Yeah I'll take you, they have some bottles up stairs."
Relieved, Stassie let out a grateful sigh. "Thank you, Lukey. I owe you one." The nickname rolled off her tongue easily as she spoke.
Luke offered her his arm, guiding her through the crowded house with ease. Stassie couldn't help but feel a sense of comfort in his presence, despite the chaotic atmosphere surrounding them. As they reached a quieter hallway, Luke opened a door to a room with a small table stacked with water bottles.
"Here you go," Luke said, handing her a bottle with a knowing smile.
"Thank you, Luke. You're officially my hero tonight," Stassie said, taking a grateful sip from the water bottle.
Luke chuckled, leaning against the wall. "Anytime. So, why'd you need water so urgently? Too many vodka sodas?"
Stassie laughed, feeling a bit more at ease. "You know me too well. Parker talked me into it. Long story."
Luke raised an eyebrow, curiosity evident in his expression. "Parker causing trouble again, huh?"
Stassie nodded, taking another sip. "Always. But hey, at least I'm not stumbling around looking for water like an idiot anymore. Thanks for saving me."
Luke's smile widened, genuine warmth in his eyes. "Anytime, Stass. Just take care of yourself, okay?"
There was a sudden silence between the two as they looked at each other, Luke's gaze warm and Stass' was a little... uncertain? They had been friends for a long time, but there was something different in the air tonight, something Stassie couldn't quite put her finger on. Like the lake house.
As the silence stretched, Stassie's heart rate quickened, unsure of what to say next. She shifted uncomfortably, trying to read the expression in Luke's eyes. She felt a subtle flush creeping up her cheeks, breaking the moment with a nervous laugh.
"Yeah, yeah, I'll be fine. Just need to pace myself better next time," she said, trying to brush off the odd tension that had momentarily settled between them.
"So, you and Jack have been talking?" Luke finally had ripped the bandaid as he studied Stass' movements and her expression, which had shifted from uncomfortable to slightly annoyed.
"Not more than usual, why?"
"What do you mean, why? I'm just asking, Stass." Luke seemed to be getting defensive too as his eyebrows knitted.
Stass sighed, feeling the tension between them mounting. "It just feels like you're prying, Luke. What's with the sudden interest in my conversations with Jack? And you guys are brothers, if you're so interested, ask him."
"It's not about that, Stass. You know that. We just never got over what happened at the lake house, or at least I thought we didn't."
"What happened, Luke? We kissed, so what? It's not like I'd do anything with Jack anyway. And plus, you're the one that hooked up with that other girl, not me." Stassie shot back, her annoyance evident in her expression.
Luke's jaw tightened, a defensive glint in his eyes. "We're not talking about me right now, Stass. We're talking about you and Jack. And don't deflect this onto something else."
"There's nothing to talk about, Jack's always been flirty with me and it's always been a funny joke until now. If you have a problem with it, talk to him, he's your brother."
Luke's gaze hardened, a flicker of hurt crossing his eyes. "It's not just about Jack. It's about us, about our friendship. You act like the kiss at the lake house meant nothing."
Stassie rolled her eyes, her impatience showing. "Luke, we were drunk, it was a momentary lapse in judgment. We've moved past it, or at least I thought we did."
"Fuck, Stass." Luke ran his fingers through his curly hair before letting out an annoyed sigh. "Fine, then. We can move on."
"Luke, I like our friendship." Stass sighed, defeated. "I don't wanna make it into something awkward, something that can get in the way of an already amazing friendship. Things are just better that way, okay? And we just forget that stupid kiss ever fucking happened and move on?"
Luke's expression softened, hurt evident in his eyes. "Yeah, okay. We can move on."
Stassie nodded, a sense of relief washing over her. "Great. So, can we just put this behind us and focus on being friends?"
Luke offered a small smile, his tone gentle. "Yeah, of course. Friends it is."
"Great, now, let's get back to the party before Parker starts freaking out." Stassie suggested, eager to shift the focus away from their tense conversation.
Luke chuckled, the tension between them dissipating. "Yeah, good idea. Last thing we need is Parker going on one of his rants again."
"You guys left me again, oh my gosh, Luke, I thought I was your favorite freshie." Stass mocked Parker as Luke laughed along, opening the door as the two of them made their way downstairs.

could I request joel and shy!reader, the first time that they share a bed/spend the night together? she learns that even though he is a grumpy old fart he is also a huge cuddler? I love your writing for joel!!
grumpy old fart made me giggle! here u go lovely!!! | 0.8k fluff
It feels like you’ve been walking for days, the heel of your beat-up shoes rubbing uncomfortably against your skin, your backpack feeling heavier and heavier on your shoulders.
Somehow, Joel looks unfazed. Of course, he’s got dirt all over and you’re sure he is tired, but he doesn’t look it. He’d probably keep walking until he physically couldn't anymore.
You don’t complain, because everyone’s tired and sore, and the last thing you’d want to do is cause trouble or annoyance.
Still, when you spot a motel in the distance, the relief washes over you.
There’s only one room left in the place that’s sleepable now, the rest of them blocked off or broken down from debris and years of being empty. Well, it’s technically two rooms; a door in between to conjoin them, and Ellie quickly claims one of them as her own for the night.
She shuts the conjoining door behind her, probably to have the privacy to clean up as much as possible with whatever’s in her bag.
You and Joel stand in silence for a bit, the one bed in the room sticking out a little too obviously.
“I can take the floor,” you offer.
“No, you take the bed.”
Joel’s stubborn, and cold, and often grumpy, but it doesn’t stop you from liking him. He’s risking his life to save the girl in the next room, and no matter how aloof he acts, the way he looks out for you says enough.
He’s a good man, even if he doesn’t believe it himself.
“What about your back?” You know it’s been bothering him, “you need it more than I do.”
“We’ll just share, alright?”
Joel suggests it before he really thinks it through, because he might have a hard time sleeping next to you. It’s to no fault of your own, really, he just doesn’t know how much longer he can keep you at arm’s length when he has this stupid fucking urge to hold you and protect you with all he has.
He’s not sure how someone like you wound up with someone like him, but he wouldn’t dream of complaining.
“Oh, yeah. Sure,” you say.
You like Joel more than you should and the thought of sleeping next to him has your nerves flaring. You’ve never slept next to him before, even when the body heat would’ve been helpful.
You’re quiet throughout dinner (a can of long expired Chef Boyardee split between three), busy thinking, trying to get your shit together because you shouldn’t be nervous. It’s just a bed. It’s Joel.
Happy with her meal, Ellie goes back to her room to read one of the new comic books you’d found a bit ago, leaving with a, “goodnight, dudes.”
Then, it’s just you and Joel again.
He cleans up the food as you pull back the blankets on the bed to assess the sheets. You decide on grabbing your sleeping bags and unzipping them to use as blankets instead.
“The ones on the bed are pretty gross,” you say when Joel peeks over at you, like you needed to explain yourself.
Joel knows you well by now, knows your tells and quirks, and he can see that you’re nervous, off, hands smoothing out the sleeping bags shakily.
“I can take the floor if you’re uncomfortable,” he says, walking over to you.
“No!” You answer quickly, “it’s not that. I’ve just- um, never shared a bed with anyone before.”
“You don’t have to do anything different. Just gotta sleep, okay?”
Right, just sleep, this isn’t special. You’ve gotta get a grip.
“Yeah, okay.”
“If you’d rather we can put the pillows in the middle.”
There he goes again, caring for you in small, simple ways that speak volumes.
“No, that’s alright.”
“Best get some sleep, then.”
You nod, and Joel walks around to the other side of the bed. You both climb in, laying on your backs for a bit. You can't seem to sleep, and he seems to notice.
“You good?”
“Huh?” You turn your head to look at him, cheek against the pillow, “yeah, fine.”
Joel lays on his side to face you, a distance clearly left between your bodies, “try to sleep, will you? You need it.”
“So do you.”
You’re on your side now, too, head level with his.
“I know.”
Your hand lays by your face on your pillow, and Joel’s hand inches towards it, his pinkie brushing against yours. You reach yours back, and then, your fingers are locked.
“Goodnight, Joel.”
“Night.”
You don’t know it but he falls asleep long after you, and by the time you wake, you’ve migrated, shifted positions. There’s a heavy weight over your waist, and only when you peek under the blanket do you realize that it’s Joel’s arm.
Then, you realize your head isn’t on the pillow anymore, but on his chest, the steady thump of his heart beneath your ear.
Rather than shift and wake him, you close your eyes and get a couple more hours of sleep, smiling at the discovery that Joel Miller is a cuddler.

I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Clause
Erik!Stevens x Reader
After getting caught kissing Erik while he was in his Santa suit, Erik's and (Y/N)'s son is in complete distraught.
Just to get into the Christmas spirit ya know.
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
Tumblr media
"Ma, where is daddy?" her son, EJ replied with his toothbrush in his mouth. (Y/N) and EJ were in his bathroom, getting him ready to go to bed. It was Christmas Eve Eve (December 23rd), and (Y/N) was excited for the Holiday. It was their first Christmas in their newly built home, and she was determined to make it the best Christmas both Erik and EJ had.
The two of them grew up in Foster Care together. Knowing each other since they were 12 years old, they stuck together like glue. Erik was always her protector, damn near almost getting kicked out of their group home when he caused a fight about her.
She was his voice of reason. Her soothing voice and her logical thinking got Erik out of most of the trouble he got into. He always joked that if she was never in his life, he would most likely be in jail.
"Daddy went out to go help out a friend baby," she said moisturizing his hair. "Ooh lord, Ima have to braid this in the morning," she said grabbing his bonnet off the counter and placing it on.
"You don't get to..." he trailed off as she chuckled.
"Don't try and talk me out of it," she said tickling his sides as he giggled. "Alright, go get yourself in bed and I'll be in there in a minute" She started cleaning up around the sink. He nodded jumping off of his step stool and going across the hall to his room.
After she was finished, she walked to his room to see him on his bed, playing with his toy car. "Alright Munchkin.." she grabbed the toy placing it on his nightstand. She turned on his night light before tucking him into the bed.
"Is Christmas tomorrow?" your son asked. He was the most excited for Christmas, obviously. After Halloween, he was already talking about Christmas.
"No baby, it's in two days. So after tomorrow," she told him as he laid down.
"That's so long..." he whined with a pout. Even though he was four years old, it still surprised her how much of Erik's face he took. She didn't see an ounce of herself in him.
"It's literally less than 48 hours."
"I don't know how to tell time yet..." he said making her laugh.
"What I'm saying is that it's not the far baby. You will only have to go to sleep one more time after tonight. Then it's Christmas." she told him. His pouting face widened into a smile as his dimples showed.
"Really? Okay, I gotta go to bed," he said snuggling into his pillow as she chuckled. She stood up from his bed, grabbed his blanket, and pulled it over him. "Goodnight baby, I love you," she said kissing him on the cheek. He grabbed her head giving her a peck on the list before saying,
"I love you too." he yawned closing his eyes. She turned off his lights and shut the door. She walked downstairs grabbing herself a wine glass and a bottle of wine. She walked into the living room sat down and clocked a random true crime documentary on YouTube. She was watching for about an hour when the door opened. She paused it turning around and seeing Erik... in a Santa Costume.
"Hi?" she said in a questioning state with her head tilted.
"Don't ask," he said pointing towards her walking into the living room and sitting next to her. He plot down, and the red suit is opened in the front showing a white tank top with his gold chain.
"I'm tempted though," she said as he sighed.
"Angel called me about a toy drive at the group home on Elm Street." She pouted before saying,
"Why didn't you tell me, I would've gone," she replied as Erik sighed.
"Well it was kind of a last-minute thing, and plus I knew you were getting the house ready for everyone to come over," he said rubbing her thigh. "They were a great group of kids, it was so nice to see them get all happy." he chuckled as she smiled rubbing his cheek.
"I applaud you for doing what you did," she said smiling at him.
"It kinda reminded me of the group home we were at. I freaking hated Christmas." he sighed. She remembered those nights during the Holiday season. Seeing everyone at school with their new clothes and new devices while they had nothing. Not even a family dinner.
"Yeah... it kinda sucked didn't it," she said as he chuckled looking at her. "I'm just glad we turned out alright," he said grabbing her hand and squeezing it. She leaned over placing a kiss on his cheek, then on his lips. He deepened it, trailing his hands behind her neck and pulling her closer. She pulled away smiling at him as he started to kiss her on her neck.
"Is EJ upstairs?" he asked looking behind him at the staircase as she nodded.
"Yeah, he's been sleeping for about an hour." she bit her lip at him as he nodded. He let go of her thigh before leaning back into the sofa. He licked his lips one more time before looking up the stairs one more time.
"Ion knows if I've told you that you look real good today..." She looked down at her nightgown which was Grinch-themed that she found at Walmart. Her hair was already wrapped up in her bonnet and she had star pimple patches on her face.
"Uhh, what?" she chuckled looking down at her outfit once more.
"Come here." he grabbed her hand as she placed the wine glass on the table. She stood up walking in between his legs as he widened them.
"Ya know..." he started off placing his hands underneath her gown, slowly tracing up the inside of her thigh. "Maybe you should sit on Santa's lap and tell him what you want.." he smirked at her. Licking her lips, she placed both of her knees on the side of his thighs as his hands found his way up underneath her dress and gripping her ass. She placed her arms on his shoulders before saying,
"I think I may have a few things in mind.." she trailed off playing with his gold chain. He grabbed the back of her bonnet, pulling it and biting her neck.
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
EJ tossed and turned in his bed, but the excitement of Christmas was keeping him awake. He heard what he thought was the TV turning off until he heard his dad talking. He decided to stay in bed until Erik would come in and kiss him goodnight.
But he never came.
Impatient, he threw his blankets off of him, opened his door, and tip-toed down the hall. Going down the steps and looking over the banister, his jaw dropped and his eyes widened. He saw his mom sitting on Santa Claus's lap and kissing.
He gasped, (Y/N) pulling away and looking around to see where the noise came from. Eyes still wide, EJ ran up the stairs tears in his eyes.
"I'm gonna tell my daddy," he told himself.
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
"Erik stop. Stop," she said pulling away from him as he continued the attack on her neck. "I think I just heard EJ.." she said looking behind the couch.
"Come on now, quit acting like you don't want this-" they heard a door slam upstairs as she jumped up. "Oh my god.. EJ, I think I heard him on the stairs," she said standing up and fixing herself.
"I'll go check on him," he said standing up as she stopped him.
"No, you look like Santa Clause. That's just going to ruin it. I'll go check on him." she said turning around before he smacked her ass and grabbed it. He wrapped his other arms around her waist pulling her to his chest and whispered,
"Don't think I'm done with you." she moaned closing her eyes before he let her go. Catching her balance from her knees buckling, she ran up the stairs to see how EJ was doing.
She slowly opened his door to see him facing the wall, lying down with his pillow in his arms. "EJ..." she whispered walking by the bed to see him squeezing his eyes shut, pretending to be asleep. "Are you okay beloved?" she whispered bending down. Still no response. Sighing, she grabbed the blankets tucked him in and kissed him on his cheek, and exited the room. She walked down the hall to Erik's and her bedroom, her eyebrows furred in confusion.
"What happened," Erik asked taking off his boots.
"I think EJ saw us downstairs," she whispered to him walking towards the bed.
"I highly doubt it was anything scarring (Y/N). It wasn't like we were actually doing it." he chuckled before standing up and walking into their shared bathroom.
"I mean still... I don't want to expose him to that kind of stuff. He is way too young." she said worriedly.
"We kiss in front of him all the time. I don't think it's bad," he said taking off his white tank top only leaving him in his red Santa suit pants.
"That's different. We were making out, and you were touching me," she said, a slight blush creeping on her face as he smirked at her.
"I can touch you some more if you want," he said grabbing her waist and pulling her closer. She pushed him away,
"I'm serious Erik..." she trailed off as he sighed grabbing her shoulders.
"I don't think it's that serious. If EJ saw something and was bothered by it he'll let us know about it. Like he always does." he comforted her. It was technically true. (Y/N) took pride in her and Erik's parenting, letting him set boundaries for himself and not silencing him when he had questions.
"Yeah... your right." she sighed. "Maybe I'm just overthinking," she told herself before he kissed her on the forehead and then again on her lips. "Now come take a shower with me," he said grabbing her ass as she laughed.
"I already took a shower before you came."
"Well come take one with me.
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
Erik and (Y/N) close friends came to the house to celebrate Christmas Eve with them. They were enjoying some old R & B music, and having a few drinks and food. EJ was outside with his "cousins", Erik was showing the guys his new gaming room while (Y/N) was in the living room with her friends drinking wine.
"This house is absolutely amazing." Her friend Sasha, gawked at her house as she smiled.
"Thank you. I mean Erik did most of the architectural design," she said looking up at the high ceilings. "But there are still some things we want to add. But we are going to wait until EJ is a little older so he's not bothered by it," she said.
"I bet you and Erik have been all over this place," Jela smirked at her drinking from her wine glass.
"I mean... I can't help it," she said with a giggle. "But I think EJ may have caught us last night," she said.
"Awe that poor baby, y'all need to learn to keep y'all hands off each other," Sasha said hitting her thigh.
"We weren't even doing anything. We were just making out, but he's been acting all strange towards me." she pouted. Usually, EJ and (Y/N) would make breakfast with each other. Today, he didn't want to do it with her. EJ wanted to make breakfast with Erik.
Then when it was time to do his hair, EJ kicked and screamed not wanting her to touch him. Erik had to put a sloppy ponytail on top of his head.
"He'll be fine. He'll forget it by the morning when he sees all those gifts." Jela replied. (Y/N) was about to respond but was cut off with Erik and everyone else coming downstairs.
"Okay Stevens.. that's a nice little setup you up there." Jela's fiance, Jordan replied.
"That's not even the finished product." he chuckled. "Where is EJ?" he looked at his wife as she pointed outside.
"They are outside playing." Right on cue, the kids ran into the living room, EJ jumping into his dad's arms as Erik lifted him up.
"Look at the little man right here." Sasha's boyfriend, Leo asked ticking EJ in Erik's arm as EJ giggled and squirmed. Erik put him down as he ran straight to his auntie Jela. Jela gave him a hug and a kiss on the cheek before saying,
"Are you excited for Santa to come?" Jela asked. Immediately his face turned into a frown then anger.
"I don't want his fat self to come to my house at all!" he yelled. The outburst caught everyone off guard, but more Erik and (Y/N).
"Beloved, what's wrong?" (Y/N) asked going to rub his back but he smacked her hand away.
"EJ!" she exclaimed. Erik grabbed his hand, pulling him away from Jela.
"EJ, come here." EJ started to cry, and you looked at Erik confusingly. "I don't want to ever catch you putting your hands on your mother you hear me?" Erik chastised him as EJ cried harder.
"I-I saw you!" he screamed at his mom, tears rushing down his face. Being a toddler, of course, he threw tantrums. But this was more than a tantrum. She could really see the hurt in his eyes.
"I saw you kissing Santa Clause last night!" he screamed. Realization started to sink in before Erik covered his mouth trying not to laugh in front of his son. (Y/N)'s reaction was the complete opposite. She was horrified.
"Ayo!" Leo busted out laughing. That really angered EJ because he took a B-line straight to Jordan.
"IT"S NOT FUNNY!" before he could reach to do his attack, (Y/N) stopped him by picking him up. "Let me down! I don't want to talk to you!" he screamed, managing to get out of your grasp and running up the stairs.
"Auntie (Y/N), you know Santa?" Your "niece" Cleo gushed in amusement.
"No sweetie. I don't know that man." she sighed. "I told you he saw us Erik!" she yelled at Erik as he finally let his laugh slip. "It's not funny!" she exclaimed, sounding just like her son. She ran up the stairs after him.
"I knew y'all was freaky but I ain't know y'all was that freaky," Jordan whispered in his ear so that the other kids didn't hear it. Erik laughed before walking up the stairs to see his wife trying to open EJ's door.
"EJ come out here. Let me talk to you," she said twisting the door nob, but it was locked. "Erik can you go downstairs and get the keys," she said still trying to get it open.
"I'm not going nowhere. But he is about to open this door." he walked to the door, her moving out of his way to see what he was going to do.
"EJ, I know you are upset but you know how I feel about locked doors. If I have to use a key to unlock it, it's gonna be me and you." There was a silence before he said,
"I just want to talk to you Daddy," he said at the door. (Y/N) sighed rubbing her forehead.
"Okay.. that's fine," Erik said as (Y/N) looked at him. "Look, I'll talk to him okay. He obviously isn't giving it up." he said. She looked at his door one more time before nodding.
"Okay." he gave her a kiss on the forehead before she left down stairs. "Okay. She's gone." Erik said. He slowly opened the door, Erik looking down and seeing his son's wet and teary face.
"Aww man.." Erik started to feel bad as he picked his son up. "Hey stop crying." he wiped his tears as EJ looked at him.
"Daddy, I went downstairs last night while you were gone, and I saw Ma sitting on Santa's lap and they were kissing.. for like a really long time," he said. Erik sighed sitting on the floor with EJ in his lap. "Why aren't you mad?" he sighed before saying,
"EJ, that wasn't Santa... that was me," he said. EJ's mouth dropped. "No no. I saw him. I saw his hat, and the red coat and everything." he said.
"I know. I was dressed up as Santa," he replied, EJ looking at him confused.
"Wait so Santa isn't real..." he trailed off, tears filling in his eyes.
"No Santa is real... but Santa can't always visit every child. So I help him by visiting them." he lied. "EJ your mom would never do that to me, and I wouldn't do that to her." he comforted him.
"How do you know?"
"Well.. me and your mom when we got married we made promises to each other. And we have trust in each other that we won't break it." Erik explained to him, but the look of confusion was still on his face.
"What's trust?"
"It's like.. it's when you believe in someone, right? So I believe in your mom to not hurt me, and your mom believes in me not to hurt her." he told her. EJ thought of it some more before he slowly nodded.
"Okay... okay it makes sense," he said sniffling.
"You know you are going to have to apologize to your mom right?" Erik said wiping the rest of EJ's tears. "I know you were upset, but you really hurt her feelings. You were being mean to her all this morning."
"I know.." he whispered looking down and playing with his hands. Erik stood up with the boy still in his arms, making his way to their bedroom. He found his wife in the closet looking for something. She looked up seeing him in Erik's arms before Erik stood in front of her. He put EJ down, kneeling next to him.
"EJ got something to say to you," Erik said. She kneeled in front of him before he started speaking.
"Mommy, I'm sorry for hitting and yelling at you," he whispered. "I won't do it again," he said. She pouted looking at him, seeing how guilty he looked. She grabbed him pulling in into a tight hug before kissing him a kiss on the cheek.
"Thank you for apologizing beloved. I just want you to know that I would never do anything like that to your daddy, okay. I love him way too much to do such a thing." she said, moving the strands of hair that were in his face out of his face.
"I know, daddy told me that you guys trust each other," he said smiling as she smiled back.
"Ooh sounds like you learned a new word.." she said, acting surprised.
"I did! I did! A-And I trust you." he said as she smiled at him. Erik stood up grabbed him and placed him on the counter.
"And beloved.. if I ever do something to upset you, me, or your father, don't hesitate to let us know. It's better to talk about it than to just walk around angry, okay?" she told him as he nodded.
"Yeah, big fella.. don't be scared," Erik said tickling him as he laughed, with (Y/N) joining in and tickling him. "Alright, go in the living room with everyone else," Erik said placing him on the ground. He nodded running downstairs.
"We are never doing that again." She said. Erik winced at the statement.
"Well..." he trailed off.
"Erik, what did you do?"
"Well that whole little roleplaying thing last night did a little something.. so I went online and got you something. Well for me." he chuckled. He turned around grabbing an Amazon packet.
"How did you even-"
"Prime Delivery.." he smirked. She opened it to see an elf suit that was extremely explicit.
"C'mon, you know you want to be Santa's slutty helper," he said kissing her neck. She bit her lip but remembered that there was company downstairs
"Fine... but this happens upstairs," she warned him putting it back on the shelf. She turned around to leave,
"No problem!" he yelled after her.
"WITH THE DOOR LOCKED!"

pretty - Vivianne Miedema
Tumblr media
request : here
of which Viv gets a little too drunk at one of Katie's parties
"y/n come join us, please!" Leah pouts at you, asking you to come and join with them.
"I think I should probably stay sober, mate, somebody has gotta look after you lot." You smiled at her, laughing as she slouches herself against you.
She drunkenly points across the room to wear your favourite Dutchie stood, clearly out of her mind. "Think she might need it more than the rest of us."
The blonde was staring over to you and Leah, a small pout on her face, one arm holding a glass that she's drinking far too quickly, while the other is holding onto the table to keep her standing.
You laughed softly and pulled Leah off of you, passing her over to Jen instead, and made your way over to Viv.
She hadn't even noticed you make your way over until you had plucked the glass from her hand.
"Hey, pretty, let's get you home, ey?" You mumbled softly, putting your arm around her waist.
Her head instantly leans down onto your shoulder - it was a struggle because she was a little taller than you - and nods tiredly. "y/n/n, I'm sleepy." She mutters out and you smile down at her.
"Hey, everyone! I'm gonna take Viv home, does anybody else want a lift?" Beth instantly took the invite and headed towards your car, climbing in the back seat while you help Viv into the front.
Ever the animated drunk, Beth talks to you the whole way to her house, only having her seatbelt on because you had forced her to.
Viv, on the other hand, sat quietly in the front seat - a comfort-loving drunk - her hand was resting on your knee, as she stared at you driving, her eyes flickered all over you, ignoring every word that Beth said.
Beth was the first to be dropped off, you walk her up to her door, your eyes flicking to Viv in the car, making sure that she didn't do anything dumb.
You grab her keys from her hands for her and unlock the door, watching as she collapsed onto the sofa and falls asleep instantly.
You grab two aspirin from your bag and grab her a bottle of water, leaving them on the coffee table next to her.
"Goodnight, Beffy." You mumble softly before leaving the house, shutting the door behind you and making sure it locks.
When you get back to the car, Viv is practically crying in her seat.
You instantly sit down and shut the door. "Hey, what's wrong?" You ask her, only to be met with silence. "Vivianne." You warn her softly, letting her know she should answer.
She looks over to you, and the pout and tears almost make you start crying yourself. "I thought you forgot about me." She mumbles.
You lean over and give her a soft kiss on her forehead. "I would never."
That makes the tears stop, her hand instantly goes back to your knee, drumming a little beat as you pull your seatbelt on and start the car once more.
Once you arrive at her house, you ask her for your keys, and see the tears form once more. "I left them inside. And Beth is the only person with a spare key."
"That's okay. It's okay, don't cry. You can crash at mine and we'll get your key from Beth in the morning, how does that sound?"
The blonde nods softly, a pout still on her face as you start the car again.
The moment you pull up at your house, you shut the car off completely, pulling your keys out.
You get out of your side and walk around to Viv's side. You unlock the door and help her out, wrapping your arm around her waist once more.
Her head drops into the crook of your neck and in her drunken state she starts to press soft kisses.
Your breath hitches softly as you try and ignore it, walking her up your steps, unlocking your door with your left hand - it wasn't easy.
You walked her up to your bedroom - you'd use the guest, your bed was nicer and you didn't want Viv to be uncomfortable - and found a pair of jogging bottoms and a t-shirt that would fit her before placing them on your bed.
"I'm gonna grab myself some clothes and go get changed in the guest room, then, I will bring you some aspirin and some water, and you will go to sleep. Understand?"
"Can't you stay with me?"
"Do you really want me to?"
"Yes. Really." She nods energetically. "You're pretty, I wanna share the bed with a pretty girl."
"You're so drunk."
You still ended up getting changed in the other room, and she got changed in yours, you went to bed with her in your arms.
And the next morning, even with your hair a mess, and a little dribble dripping down your chin, she still thought you were the most gorgeous girl in the world.
And even with a pounding headache she made sure to tell you. Her head once more resting in the crook of your neck as she mumbled to you,
just how pretty you were.
What do you think? I feel like the writing sucks a little, and it could have been written better, but I adore the idea so- yay :)

Sleep | Billy Batson
Tumblr media
A/N: Takes place sometime after the first movie, interesting how superhero movies never discuss the trauma of literally almost dying lol this was requested - hope you enjoy!!
. . .
You're in that delirious state of dozing off; not quite awake, but not fully asleep. Sleep is beckoning you and you'll soon fall into its sweet embrace--
You shoot up, blankets getting tangled around your waist, arms swiping through the air.
"Hey, hey, hey! It's me. Freddy. It's Freddy. Geez, you almost took my eye out."
In the dark of the room you squint as your awareness seeps in. Freddy hovering by the bed with his hands held up.
"What the heck-" you look at Darla's sleeping form on her side of the room, "-the hell are you doing?"
Freddy quietly groans into his hands. "What do you think? It's Billy of course. Now scoot."
You contemplate kicking Freddy out of your room, turning over and tugging the blanket over your head. But then your traitorous brain forms an image of Billy in his room alone and you're getting up with a sigh.
"I hate you." You mumble as Freddy takes the spot on your bed, switching out your pillow for his.
He grins. "Goodnight."
"Goodnight."
The house is dark and quiet but you've made this small trip enough times that you could do it in your sleep, or sleep-deprieved as you currently were.
Billy is sitting on his bed, eyes blank as he stares at the window. He briefly looks over when you open the door, creeping through.
Immediately he objects, the guilt on his face clear. "Just go back to bed. I'm okay seriously."
"I almost believe that." You shake your head, climbing into the bed with him. "Same dream?"
He hesitates, fumbling with the blanket. "Yeah..."
"Do you want to talk about it?"
"No."
"Okay. Come here." You manage to snag some of the blanket, sinking down until you're comfortable enough to open your arms. Billy wraps himself around you, tension leaving his shoulders when you start to comb your fingers through his hair.
"Goodnight Billy."
You look down to see his eyes shut, breathing steady.
This was becoming routine. You didn't mind, even though Freddy complained about how it woke him up you knew he was worried about Billy. You all were.
Billy had been waking up from night terrors, waking up with the feeling of Dr. Sivana's hands on his throat as him, Billy, not Shazam. He had been embarrassed, seeing as no one else seemed to be suffering through the same thing but you always reassured him.
You kind of liked being able to soothe him, being the one to help him sleep through the night. And, it was funny seeing Freddy's annoyed face every night.
Sleep is calling your name once again when the door creaks open, Darla's sweet face popping through. She tiptoes to the bed, accepting the hand you offer to her.
"Is Billy going to be okay?' She whispers, snuggling up to your other side that isn't weighed down by Billy.
You look down at his face, completely relaxed as he starts to snore. It makes you smile.
"Yeah, Darla, I think so. He's Billy."
She mentions going back to bed, but her eyes are drooping shut with every second and she's quickly passed out on your shoulder.
Billy would be okay eventually.
. . .
[Extra]
"Hey, notice how everyone ends up leaving the room once Freddy gets there?" Billy says to you over breakfast.
You laugh. "Yeah, because it's Freddy. He's so weird."
"I'm literally sitting next to you. I can hear what you're saying." Freddy cuts in, rolling his eyes.
You share a look with Billy, an agreement flashing between you. He picks up his plate and grabs yours while you get the cups.
"Didn't realize he was in the room."
"Yup. Gotta go."
"I hate you both!" Freddy calls to your retreating forms.

Also, this terrifies me, I don’t know if I should post it. To see original post go to emmaloo21
Tumblr media
Hook ended up back on Neverland, with a young girl. Pan was always intrigued by her.
“Y/n, you’re going to be a little spy, and get us Pan’s heart,” Hook said, he was drunk, everyone was, except her, “Rum?”
“I’m alright, drink some water,” she said, “I’ll be in bed.”
“Goodnight, love,” He grabbed her by the waist and kissed her head.
He thought of her as a daughter, he always had. Milah was the reason she ever was able to stay with him. So she was their daughter, to him.
“Wake up,” Hook said, Y/n opened her eyes.
“Hmm?”
“You’re going to find camp, alright? The lost boys, when you do, you find Pan and sob and cry like I kicked you off the ship. Capture his heart, and you come back to me,” he smiled, “With his heart, you’ll get everything you want. You’ll get to be a princess.”
“That’s it? Simple..” she sat up.
“I love you, sweetheart,” Hook hugged her.
“I love you, papa,” she laughed, “now, I gotta go.”
Hook knew she was a good actor, she tricked anyone, that was something he adored about her.
Y/n found the camp, no one there, but logs and an unlit bonfire.
“Hello,” Pan appeared, “You’re Hook’s girl, yes?”
Y/n turned to face him, “Not anymore,” she grumbled, trying to ‘not cry.’
“What?” Pan was confused, he had seen there bond, inseparable, he believed her.
“He.. he..” she whimpered, tears now falling.
“Hey, it’s okay, follow me,” he said, she did, grabbing his hand.
“Oh.”
“I can let go, I just-“
“No, it’s okay,” it was so obvious he liked her.
He was vulnerable, she was curious as to why.
Felix and Pan sat together, Pan trying not to cry and crumble in front of his second. He was sure Wendy loved him, and then she shattered his heart and he locked her away in the cage. He cried as he told Felix, who was there to comfort. And that was merely an hour ago. Pam trying to heal his heartbreak.
He healed it by falling in love with her, so fast. She did not understand but it happened.
“This is my cabin, come in,” he brought her inside, she sat on the couch, still crying.
He was not going to let her leave, that was for sure. The door shut by itself.
“Do you want cocoa?” He questioned, it was cold in Neverland, being it was early in the morning.
“Please,” she whined, he brought her a mug, she took it with shaky hands.
“Let me get you a blanket, love,” Pan kissed her head, she smiled slightly, still crying.
He came back, wrapping it around her, holding her.
“Why’d Hook leave you?” He asked, she leaned into him.
“He..” she started sobbing again.
“It’s okay, it’s okay..” Pan said, “Don’t cry, please, it hurts me.”
He wiped her tears with his thumbs, she sighed.

+++
I was growing tired of nights spent alone. I held a cigarette in my teeth while lighting it and proceeded to take a long drag. From my seat at the dining room table, I watched the window. Headlights passed by sparingly, each one getting my hopes up. 9 pm. It seemed likely that my darling husband would not be returning home tonight.
I was married off in 1959 at the age of 20. It was pseudo-arrganed. In that, my father was friends with my husband-to-be's father. They were business partners, actually. His boy was shy of "boy" status, at 30 years old. His father worried for his unmarried child, and my father offered 19-year-old me up. How dandy.
Upon meeting Keith, I was swept away by his chivalry and coyness. He was my prince charming. My own girlish fantasies of being a wife and mothering children blinded me from what was truly happening. We married in the Spring, just after my twentieth birthday.
It wasn't even when the ring was finally slipped on my finger that things changed. It was when we began having fertility issues. Issues that, let's just say, were not my fault in the slightest. But, in his eyes, it was me that couldn't give him a child.
That was when the late nights began. The child in me that was excited to welcome my husband home, prepare his dinner, and kiss him goodnight was crushed. He increasingly spent nights away from our home in the two years we were married.
It was only fair that my eyes began to wander as well. I received no attention from my own husband, so I sought it elsewhere.
My car, bought for me by my father as a wedding present, had a small leak in the tire. As part of my daily chores, I went to go get it patched up at a local repair shop. My car was my only freedom from the hell I was living in.
The old man who answered the phone at the shop earlier in the day was not the man who greeted me when I arrived. Certainly not. This was a man my age, with soft golden curls and a lazy smile. He moved with confidence and had a piercing gaze that made my stomach flip.
He fixed my tire quickly and handed me his home phone number scribbled on a scrap of paper with a wink. Kit Walker, MElrose-3437. I assume he hadn't seen the wedding band on my finger.
It was a while before I gathered the courage to actually call this 'Kit' character. The receiver suddenly felt heavy in my hand, knowing I was doing something wrong, but it was another night in which Keith didn't care to come home from 'work.'
Seeing Kit became a regular thing. My being married was no problem for him. We fooled around whenever I felt lonely, which was essentially all the time.
And on this particular night, the feeling was too much to bear. Seeing the fifteenth car pass by with no sign of my husband, I stood and walked to the phone.
'Hello?' his low voice spoke over the line.
'Hi Kit,' I replied.
'Y/N,' he sighed. I could hear him smiling in his voice. 'How are ya?'
'Come over?' I asked, wasting no time.
'You sure I can?' he spoke lowly.
'Yes,' I uttered. I hung up the phone and rushed to the bedroom to make it presentable. If my husband saw it fit to lay in some other woman's bed, it was perfectly fine that Kit laid in ours.
+
Kit arrived within the hour. He completely changed my perspective on life. The air felt lighter as soon as he entered the house. He smelled of tires and dry wood cologne. He wore a simple white t-shirt and motor-oil-stained jeans. He shut the door behind him with care and stepped further into the home, meeting me in the foyer.
'Hey beautiful,' he sighed, bringing me in for a kiss. I breathed him in. Light stubble scratched against my face as he held me tight.
I wore my flouncy floral pajama set that just barely covered my backside. The babydoll-style top was embellished with a blue satin bow, and beautiful puffed short sleeves. The shorts rode up slightly when I stretched my arms up to hold Kit tightly. It was only natural that his hands wandered downward.
‘I couldn’t wait to see you,’ I murmured into his lips. ‘It’s been too long.’ He pulled back and contorted his face.
‘Damn, it has been long, hasn’t it? Two weeks or so,’ he agreed. ‘I couldn’t wait to see you either.’ His tone turned darker as he turned his attention back to my lips.
‘Too long,’ I hummed. Kit continued to kiss me as I led the way through the foyer to the stairs. The dark wood creaked under our feet. The house was dim, with only the dining room and bedroom lights on. We ascended, lips still locked, fumbling with articles of clothing in the dark.
We arrived at my plush shared bedroom. Only my bedside lamp illuminated the space, giving it a warm pink glow. We, still locked in each other’s embrace, staggered onto the bed, knocking a picture frame off the wall. It fell onto the top of the headboard and pitched at an angle onto the floor. The glass shattered upon impact, the sound ringing out in the empty house.
I laughed up at Kit, who was positioned on top of me. He didn’t smile, though. Instead, he lurched off of me to go retrieve the broken picture. I watched as he flipped it over slowly, more glass falling out of it onto the carpet.
‘It’s your, uh, wedding photo,’ he coughed.
‘God dammit,’ I exclaimed. ‘I’ll have to get a new frame.’
‘Won’t he care?’ Kit muttered, looking up at me with concern on his brow.
‘Baby, I don’t think he’d notice if I died,’ I laughed. I stooped down onto the ground and began to help Kit pick pieces of glass out of the rug.
‘You looked so happy,’ he murmured, holding the photo. ‘With him.’
‘I suppose I was,’ I said nonchalantly, dragging the small waste bin from the corner of the room over to where the frame had broken. We both discarded the glass in our hands, Kit still holding the photo.
‘I can take that,’ I began, holding my hand out, ‘I’ll put it somewhere else.’
‘Do you still, uh, feel anything for him?’ Guilt was all over his face as he stared down at mine and Keith’s smiling faces.
'He doesn't even begin to interest me. Not even curiosity,’ I assured the curly-haired boy in front of me. I placed a hand on his shoulder and pulled the photo out of his hand with the other. ‘He could come home now and I wouldn’t even hide you.’
‘Y/N,’ he spoke.
‘I promise Kit Walker. Consider this picture an ancient relic. I only feel something for you,’ I continued. ‘He’s nothing to me.’
‘Y-you,’ he stammered, looking deep into my eyes. I grabbed his neck and pulled him in to kiss me again. He melted into my touch and embraced me fully, picking me up and tossing me onto the bed.
My pajama shorts were the first thing Kit tore off my body. The thin fabric slid down my legs with ease. To his surprise, I wasn’t wearing anything under them.
‘Shit, Y/N,’ he laughed, before tossing his own shirt to the side. ‘You’re too much.’ His fingers slid through my wet cunt’s folds before feeling their way directly onto my clit. I moaned sharply. He worked me to my core until I was nearly screaming. Then, he pulled away, resting back on his heels.
Having no time for teasing, I sat up to Kit’s level and hooked my arms around his neck, connecting my lips with his and guiding him roughly to a laying position. I straddled his legs and worked to unbutton his jeans. I tugged them rather ungracefully off his body and threw them aside.
His large erection was prominent, pitching his briefs up. I palmed the bulge, leaning over him to pepper kisses all over his skin. He whimpered and breathed heavily. I started at his collarbones, then worked down his stomach, taking my time as I reached the hem of his underpants. I slid his white briefs down his legs and watched his hard dick spring up.
I positioned myself atop his cock and started riding him, feeling his full length hit my middle. I arched my back in pleasure and felt Kit do the same. He continued to whimper and whine.
‘Oh, yes,’ he cried.
My cunt’s walls tightened around his massive length. I couldn’t help but yell out. Before no time, I succumbed to the waves of orgasm. Still riding him, though, I was determined to get him to finish.
Within a short time, Kit came inside me. I felt his hot load spill into me as he breathed raggedly. I moved off of him and flopped down onto my side, feeling the silken sheets on my skin. My head rested on his shoulder and my hand on his chest.
‘Fuck, Y/N,’ Kit breathed after a beat. ‘You are so divine.’
‘Just let me know when you’re ready to go again,’ I purred, propping myself up on my elbow.
‘Shit, let me get a cigarette first, woman,’ he laughed. I grabbed his face to attack him with kisses.
He surely helped me feel less alone.

three
three years,
three years of being married to the most amazing man yn has ever known. it’s been the most wonderful years of her life thus far.
with that comes three years of being the best mama yn could be to oliver. oliver’s eleven years old now and has grown into the most amazing pre teen ever!
yn nor eddie wanted to rush into growing their family. they both agreed to enjoy this time with one another for now and possibly have a family of their own when they felt it was right.
with corroded coffin finally deciding to retire, eddie could finally focus on being a good dad to his son and husband to yn!
yn wanted the same! she’d always planned on getting married first, having kids, and live a happy old school life. it’s how her parents did things and it’s something she’s wanted.
this didn’t mean she’d stop releasing music! she just wouldn’t be traveling, touring, going to award shows, doing too many interviews. she’d simply release songs for her fans and stay out of the spotlight as much as possible.
eddie supported whatever she wanted. if she wants to be a stay at home mom, he’d stand by her. if any given point she changes her mind, he’d support her through and through!
“mom!”
currently yn and eddie had been in the kitchen making lunch. they knew their baby boy would be home soon and he’s always hungry after practice. since it was oliver’s best friends, mom turn to do carpool, the couple knew they had time to have lunch ready in time.
“you’ve been summoned, honey.” eddie smirks as he takes a bite of a carrot. yn smiles as she kisses his cheek gently.
“in here, baby!” she yells back. she hears footsteps before seeing said boy. she smiles at him.
“hi, baby. dad and i made lunch!”
oliver sighs in relief. “im starved! coach made us do laps all day. it was brutal.”
yn frowns. she hates this new coach! she had no idea why he was working the boys so hard! eddie told her it’s most likely because they haven’t won a game in the last few years and he’s probably trying to change that. but yn still wasn’t okay with him working them too hard. after all, it’s just a football game filled with eleven year old boys. it’s not the superbowl.
yn hands oliver his sandwich and a small bag of potato chips. she made sure to grab the tiny bag of carrots for him as well.
oliver thanks her before sitting in the kitchen table.
“i don’t like the way they’re working them, eds! they’re just little boys.”
eddie shakes his head as he places his arms around her waist. “honey, im sure it’s fine. if it was too much ollie would tell us right away.”
“im still gonna go down there and have a talk with this coach, ed! maybe convince him to take it easier on the boys.”
eddie smirks.
“such a mama’s bear. gotta protect her cub.” eddie hugs her tightly.
Tumblr media
after dinner, yn and eddie say goodnight to their son before going to their shared bedroom. yn sighs dramatically as she plops down on the bed. eddie laughs.
“what’s the matter, sweetie?”
“nothing, just—you ever think of filling the empty rooms in this house?”
eddie hums.
“you know i do, baby. but remember we said we’d wait.”
yn sighs. “yeah, when we first got married eds. what’s stopping us now?”
eddie shakes his head. “baby, i was ready the moment i met you to fill you up with more little munson’s. im just waiting until you’re one thousand percent ready.”
yn nods. “i know.”
eddie frowns deeply. he runs his hands down his wife’s back. “what’s troubling you?”
“im afraid, ed.”
“of what?”
yn sits up before playing with her fingers. eddie frowns even deeper than before. he kisses her temple gently. “come on, don’t shut me out princess. tell me what you’re afraid of.”
“of being a mom.”
“babe,”
“i know what you’re gonna say. and yes, ollie is my baby boy. but i didn’t have oliver. i didn’t carry him for nine months, i didn’t give birth to him, i didn’t wake up at different hours throughout the day, i didn’t watch him take his first steps, i didn’t hear him say his first words. this will all be new territory for me, eddie. im just scared ill screw it all up.”
“you darling, have absolutely nothing to worry about! you’re already a fantastic mother to that beautiful boy two rooms down. yn, you must know that whatever children we have you’ll be fantastic at raising them. they’ll love you unconditionally, babe. trust me baby, you’re gonna do just great.”
yn nods.
eddie kisses her gently. “i love you more than anything. whenever you’re ready, you say the word and ill chuck those pack of condoms in the trash.” eddie smirks.
yn giggles.
“i wanna talk to my doctor first. wanna make sure everything is okay.”
“ill check in too, babe. i am getting old after all! gotta make sure my swimmers are alive and well.”
yn kisses her husband once more before the couple shut the lights off and drift to sleep.

can i get something with DadKnight being the designated parent to play tooth fairy when your child loses their first tooth and they have to sneakily hide cash under their child pillows in the middle of the night 😭
The Tooth Fairy
Tumblr media
Summary: Marc takes on the mission of being the tooth fairy and making the switch with the tooth and money when you daughter is asleep.
Warnings: None that I know of honestly
Author’s Snip: Wholesome indeed, thank you, anon.
I’ll shut up now. Enjoy! And don’t be afraid to request.
Word Count: 933
Tumblr media
“Okay, that’s the end of tonight’s chapter.” Marc concluded as he closed the book that the system have been reading to Abi before bed, looking over to your daughter.
“You nice and comfortable?” He asks, to which the little girl nods as she picks at a part of her mouth. “Don’t pick at your gums, sweetheart. If you do your adult teeth grow in funny.” Marc says as he gently pulls her hand away. “How about that tooth? Where is it? The tooth fairy’s gonna be coming tonight for it.” Marc asks.
He’s mostly asking because this is her first lost tooth and one of the kids in her class told her that means the tooth fairy is coming when it first started getting loose, so now he’s gotta do the whole act for her.
Abi sits up and lifts up her pillow showing the little tooth in a plastic baggie that was used to hold the snacks in her lunch box. Marc nods, knowing where exactly the tooth is meant to be.
“Dad.” Abi was looking towards him and getting a simple “Yes?” in return. “Do you think the tooth fairy is real?” she questions. Marc blinks in surprise but keeps a normal face “Why do you ask that?” he asks. “Well, because, no one ever actually sees her and she also visits all the kids who lose their teeth. But there are a lot of kids losing teeth, so how does she get them all?” she explains.
Marc thinks of something to say and settles on one thing. “I used to wonder that too. But I figured that maybe there was more than one tooth fairy and they’re all meant to take care of the kids in different places. And maybe they’re all shy and don’t want people to bother them.” Marc says. He can see Abi think about it before she nods with a smile “That makes sense.”.
Marc smiles and is about to say goodnight but Abi asks another, less explainable, question. “Why do they collect teeth? And why is it only kid teeth?”. Marc gets up from the end of Abi’s bed upon hearing that. “No idea. But how about we head to sleep so the lady can do her job, yeah?” Marc says as he carefully tucks Abi into bed, kisses her on the forehead, and says good night. He closes the door gently as Abi shuffles in her bed to get comfortable and fall asleep. Marc walks to the living room where you are. "So what's the game plan again?" he asks as he sits in the armchair next to the sofa you're seated on. "Just the normal thing you do when you play tooth fairy. You go in when she's asleep, so maybe about an hour from now, take the tooth, quietly replace it with the quarters, and then get out." you explain matter of factually. "And I have to do it why?" Marc asks.
You shrug "I don't know I figured that you would like to do the honors of doing the first tooth.". Marc looks at you for a second with a puzzled look, "That's a weird honor to do." Marc comments. "Well, I can do it if you want." you say, but Marc quickly says "No, I'll do it." which makes you do a smug thats-what-I-thought look.
"Okay, but we aren't going to be one of those gross parents who keep the teeth as creepy souvenirs, right?" Marc questions. "We are keeping her teeth, but that's for if she develops anything and they need stem cells. Baby teeth are good for that." you clarify. Marc smiles at you for a second and says "That was Steven's idea wasn't it?", you look away with a blush and remark "It's a good idea. Just in case she needs it down the line.".
After about an hour since putting Abi to bed, Marc stands outside her bedroom door. He feels a nervousness in himself that feels similar to when he goes on missions. It feels silly but he finds that thinking about this process like a mission helps him feel more confident. He goes over the plan in his mind before taking a breath and quietly opening the door.
He peaks in and finds Abi soundly asleep and cuddled up in her covers. The light from her rotating lamp, the one Steven bought for her that cast stars around the room, provided enough light for Marc to see and navigate around her room. He carefully made his way to her bed, avoiding the creaky parts of the floor, quietly kneeling down to be able to make the switch more clean.
Marc always wondered just how nerve-racking it actually is to be Indiana Jones when he's making the switch with the statue and the sack in the temple as a kid, now he actually knows as he carefully worms his hand under the pillow and pulls out the baggie.
That's one part complete. Now he has to make the replacement. So he takes the small sheer pouch that holds her tooth fairy money and carefully maneuvers it under her pillow, freezing when Abi stirs slightly, but continuing and moving his hand out once he knows she's still asleep.
Marc quietly leaves and closes the door behind him a second time, this time having done the most high-stakes switcheroo he's done in his entire life. He takes a second before quietly pumping his fist in success knowing that in the morning Abi's going to come running out of her room excited about her prize at breakfast time.

The Night Shift.
Johnnie Guilbert x Fem!Reader.
Chapter 12.
I quickly tidied up my small apartment after everyone had left, resulting in me crashing on the couch. I sighed contently, pulling out my phone as I felt it buzz.
jake: so when is you amd Johnnie's wedding?
me: you've used that joke like 10 times get better
jake: shut up but fr whats going onnnn
me: jake you literally love with him idk why you're asking me cause idk
me: live*
jake: yes y/n I'm in love with johnnie
jake: oh.
me: shut up 😭
jake: ig I'll go have a chat with johnnje
me: that's not scary at all
jake: :)
me: ok lmk please
jake: sorry, bro code still exists
me: oh my GOOOOD jake I swear
me: whatever goodnight twink
jake: nighty night
I left him on read and got up, making my way into my bedroom. of course, the one thing I forgot to do was make my bed. you could still see the way the covers were twisted from where me and johnnie laid. I smiled softly to myself, sitting down on the bed and undressing.
my phone went off once more. I rolled my eyes, assuming it was jake coming back to bully me more. i picked up my phone off the night stand and read the message I had gotten.
mom: hey honey! how have you been? me and your father will be coming to town in March to check on you and the cafe. well see you soon! miss you bunches.
I didn't bother opening the message, internally groaning at the thought of having to see my parental figures for more than a day. every time they visited, they'd stay around a week and constantly harass me. it always messed up my whole schedule, and now it'd be even worse with johnnie, jake, and Tara in my life. I wouldn't hear the end of it from them. I'd get my ear chewed off by them, saying my friends are weird or stupid shit that wasn't true. if they weren't the perfect people, then they were nobody to my parents. it was dissapointing to me, and honestly embarrassing. i tossed my phone onto the nightstand and placed my hands over my face, sighing loudly. my phone vibrated loudly, startling me out of my exasperated state. i groaned, assuming it was someone i wouldn't be very happy talking to. i let it ring a little longer before reading the caller ID. my phone read "johnnie." i flew out of my bed, snatching my phone. i answered his face time call after making sure my hair wasn't a mess.
"hello?" johnnies raspy voice came through the phone, making me face heat up. he was close to the camera, i was only able to see his nose and eyes.
"Hi, johnnie." I smiled, matching his camera angle. "what's up?"
"I'm bored and playing fortnite alone." he said, propping his phone up.
"oh shit, I've never really played fortnite." I admitted.
"we gotta change that." he smirked. "i'll have to teach you how to play next time you come over."
i smiled, "okay."
it went silent for a bit, allowing me to examine his makeup. he had streaks of eyeliner coming down one eye with bright blue eyeshadow around and on his eyelid. somehow, he noticed me staring. he obviously had an amazing eye, considering we were on the phone and not in person. "what?" he giggled, a light blush showing through his makeup.
"i don't know, i like your makeup." i looked at the ceiling instead of the phone, laying down to get comfortable. i propped my phone up on my nightstand.
"really?" his smile grew, "you should let me do yours sometime. i mean, i usually don't like doing other peoples, but i think it'd be fun with you."
i wondered what made me different than anyone else, but i didn't bother asking. i rubbed my eyes and muttered, "sounds fun."
"you tired?" he asked, his whole demeanor changing as i heard shooting coming from the background. his hands fondled with the controller swiftly as he fought the other player. his eyebrows scrunched together as he focused, his smiling dropping.
"i mean, yeah." i laughed at him. "that seems intense."
he tossed his hands up in the air in defeat. "what the fuck, dude." i continued to laugh at him, causing him to look at the phone. "wow."
"i'm sorry, it's just funny as fuck seeing you like this." i explained, gently closing my eyes.
he rolled his eyes playfully. "whatever." he had a small smile on his face as he loaded into the next match. "you know what else would be fun?"
"hm?"
"if we went to a concert together." he pondered. "have you ever been to a concert before?"
"no, just school concerts." i said. "who would we even go see?"
"i don't know. my chemical romance, really whoever's in town." he paused. "that we like."
"well, obviously. you like my chemical romance?" i asked, surprised.
"is it not obvious?" he giggled.
i rolled my eyes. "whatever. mcr is one of my favorite bands, though. i never hear about anyone who likes them anymore."
"i love them too." he smiled at me.
the silence began to lull me to sleep, along with johnnies presence on the other side of the phone. my eyes began to feel heavy, and i eventually fell asleep.

sleepover? - chris sturniolo
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
in which nick sturniolo invites you over and someone’s excited to see you.
• i knock three times on the door in front of me and hear heavy footsteps from inside. the door then swings open shortly after.
"hey!" nick exclaims, giving me a tight hug while spinning me around a couple times. "i haven't seen you in like forever!"
"i know!" i say. "how have you been?"
"pretty good. looking after matt and chris. gotta make sure they behave, ya' know?" he looks behind him and so do i. chris is seen walking over to us from his room.
"as usual." i say, replying to what nick said previously.
"nick, shut the fuck up. tryna’ embarrass me and shit." chris says sourly.
"motherfucker, you're the one embarrassing yourself getting all pissy. can't you see i'm trying to have a formal conversation here?" nick gestures towards me.
"trust me, i can see." chris' eyes meet mine. "i can also see that the person you're converting with hasn't greeted me yet." he smirks at me. "so disrespectful."
"oh, cry me a river." i say. "then get your ass over here."
"no, you're the one stepping foot in my home. you're supposed to get your ass over here." chris points next to him.
"okay, smartass. there's no need for all that. now y'all shake hands or something and then (y/n), c'mon." nick says, annoyed.
chris rolls his eyes and i walk over to him. "long time no see, stranger." i say. i wrap my arms around his neck and hug him. he hugs me back, squeezing me tightly while burying his face into me. his breath was warm on my skin. i couldn't help but notice that this hug felt different. his heartbeat was hard and loud. it was almost like he didn't want me to pull away, but i did.
"where's matt?" i ask. "is he out?"
"yeah, he's at nathan's so you can sleep in his bed if you don't want to sleep on the couch. trust me, he wouldn't mind." nick says.
"wait, she's sleeping here?" chris asks.
"yeah, that's the whole reason why i fucking invited her, stupid. get that look off your face.” he rolls his eyes. “someone’s excited.”
• nick and i were now watching tiktoks in his bed. we laughed our asses off pretty much the whole time.
i chuckled at a tiktok that played on his phone and expected a similar response as we usually laughed at the same ones.
"nick," i whisper. i then see that his eyes were shut. his head rested on his arm uncomfortably.
i check the time on his phone: 1:00 a.m.
i take his glasses off for him and set them on the nightstand by the bed. knowing that if they were to break while he slept, he would scold me for not saying or doing something. i found the thought humorous and smiled.
i hear him turn himself over on his other side. he feels his face for his glasses but eventually sees them beside him. "oh." he says, looking at me in dim light. "that's so embarrassing. like, okay, mom." he covers his mouth with his hand and i laugh.
"shut up, it's not embarrassing. go to sleep."
i begin to make my way towards the door but the grip of a hand around my wrist stops me. "wait."
"what?" i ask sternly. "can you get me a dr. pepper?" nick smiles at me whilst rubbing his eye tiredly.
"as intriguing at that fake ass smile is, it's one in the morning. go to sleep. goodnight!" i finally walk to the door and he groans. "fine. goodnight! don't let the bed bugs bite!"
"not if they bite you first!" he gasps and i close the door giggling.
i make my way to matt's room and open the door as well as turn on the light. i scan my surroundings. ‘i guess now i know why matt's never in his room during the day.’ i think. it was awfully barren. perfect for sleeping, i suppose.
unzipping my bag i had brought here with me, i pull out some clothes to sleep in. i throw them onto matt's bed and begin taking off the clothes i had on. suddenly, i hear the door open and see chris in the doorframe. "oh, shit!"
"chris!" i frantically cover myself with my shirt. "do you knock?"
"i didn't think you'd be in here!" he raises his voice louder and i shush him. "nick's asleep!" i hiss. "and how'd you not know i'd be in here? you were right by me and n- .. whatever! get out!"
he exits apologizing and closes the door behind him.
once i was done, i crawl into the bed and scroll on my phone. i wasn't tired quite yet, so i figured it wouldn't hurt to stay up a couple more hours.
• someone knocking on matt's door draws my attention away from my screen. "come in!" i say as loud as i could without waking anyone up. chris then walks in cautiously as if i was gonna bite him.
"look at you! learning how to knock when a door's closed. good job!" i jokingly say.
"in my defense," he starts. "this is my brother's room and i didn't expect you to steal it for a night." he sits on the bed with me.
"but your brother isn't here." i bring myself closer to his face to make my point as clear as day. "ever thought of that?" he says nothing, causing us to practically drown in each other's eyes.
the silence was so loud. almost unbearable. looking into chris' eyes wasn't, though. they were so .. mesmerizing. i felt like i was in a trance. the blue color in them and his skin tone complemented each other so well. and i've never noticed that he has freckles? interesting. i almost wanted to find out even more things about him. besides the fact that he was incredibly handsome.
i snap out of my so-called trance to find chris' lips pressed against mine. what? this was so surreal. what i wanted to do was pull away and yell, ‘chris! what the hell? first you walk in on me stripping and now this?’ but i couldn't. it seemed like our lips were glued together. i knew that wasn't the case, though. he likes me. and i think i like him too.
as he's kissing me, he pulls me onto his lap by my waist.
"wait," i panic a little. "what are you doing?"
"relax." he says back. his hands have a tight grip on my hips, his thumbs rested right on top of the bone. he slowly and steadily grinds me down onto him. a wave of pleasure rushes through my body and i feel my ears get hot. i hold his shoulders to keep myself in balance.
"you feel that?" he brings me towards him and down again, referring to what i now clearly felt beneath me. "that's what you did to me earlier." he grins and bites his lip whilst moving me forward once more. his bulge hit me with every move he made, making my breath hitch in sync with them.
"feels good?" he asks and looks up from what was going on under us. there they were: those eyes.
i nod to his question, as a sound probably would've escaped my mouth if i spoke.
"i know." one sure seemed to escape from chris' as he says that. his breath begins to shake once he pushes my hips onto his groin harder. he bucks his hips up in sync with mine. "oh, fuck." he hisses. his fingers now digging into my flesh.
"look at me." he demands, his voice thick with gravel.
a pale pink flush of arousal stained his cheeks. his eyes move across my face, examining my features.
"you're so pretty." he whispers. his hand cups my burning cheek. "i've always thought you were." it then makes its way down to my neck, sliding across my skin with incredible tension.
his hand travels towards my chest, only his middle finger traces me now. it runs across the low neckline of my tank top. i feel myself heating up more, yet goosebumps form all over my body.
"you think i could get a better view?" he asks. i was hesitant at first.
".. please?"
until that happened. the look of plead in his eyes was too irresistible.
i shrug. "since you asked so nicely." his eyes lit up.
he was growing on me. i felt myself become more comfortable with him by the minute. whether it was a good or bad thing, i didn't care. at least not right now.
i reach for the bottom of my top and bring it up slowly. with the material blocking my view for not even a second, i could feel chris' eyes on me right as the skin of my stomach was visible. it was almost like he was yearning for this moment his whole life.
eventually, he pulls it off faster than i was while in the process of removing it, wanting to see all of me. he throws it onto the floor.
his eyes lock onto my breasts as expected. as soon as they did, i felt him throb below me. "jesus." he smiles out of satisfaction whilst raising his eyebrows.
he places his hands back onto my hips. they slide up and down my bare waist, giving me chills as his fingertips graze me.
he grinds me down onto his lap again. only this time i could tell that he was much more sensitive. his bulge was much more prominent and felt like it was about to punch a hole through his pants, along with his sounds of pleasure being louder than before. he attempted to keep them contained by closing his mouth, but the pressure i put onto him wasn't making it any easier.
i watch his eyes roll back vaguely as i keep the movements of my hips persistent. his exhales were short and choppy.
he grew harder under me. because of this, i was also having trouble keeping quiet as tingles overtook my hot body.
chris kisses me, then pulls away to shush me sweetly and say, "not too loud." his lust-filled eyes burned into mine and a smirk forms on his face. "not that i don't like hearing you." god. my insides were churning. he knows exactly what to say.
i kiss him again, running my fingers through his hair as i do. we start to make out, but that soon stops when he suddenly rolls my hips onto his wood again strongly. a noisy whimper slips from my mouth and i feel him smile. i quickly break our kiss, red-faced.
"chris!" i hiss and i grab ahold of his hands on me. "nick's gonna hear me!" he chuckles in response and glances up at me, smirking "just fuckin' with ya'. i won't do it again."
"you better not." i say, initiating another kiss.
"yes ma'am." he whispers before our lips smash together again.
• chris and i then make out and such for about 20 more minutes until we hear someone enter the house followed by the jingle of keys. i hastily get off of his lap as a precaution.
"shit. has to be matt." chris says whilst getting up off of the bed and fixing his hair.
"i thought he was sleeping over at nate's!" i put my top back on and smooth my hair out as well.
"i thought so too, but i guess not."
i groan out of annoyance. now i have to move my things to the living room.
grabbing my bags, chris motions for me to stand beside him by matt's door.
"okay, be cool." he combs through his hair with his fingers. "by the way, you can sleep in my bed tonight."
flashing me a wink, he opens the door. matt caught us briefly after we tried to exit as fast as we could.
"oh, what's up, (y/n)?" matt asks from the kitchen.
"hey, matt. sorry, i thought you weren't coming back home tonight."
"no, that's okay. i'm more curious as to why chris is so goddamn red .." he points to chris and raises an eyebrow. "you guys better not be doing any freaky shit in my room."
chris makes a gagging noise. "(y/n)?! oh, hell no, that shit's nasty."
i couldn't help but notice the smile he was holding back.

[ 𝐦𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐭 ]
“How you doin', sweetheart?”
You turn with a roll of your eyes, already fed up with the familiar voice of Casey Jones constantly teasing you. If not for the slight glimmer of affection you felt for him, you’d have pummelled him to the ground by now.
The cocky boy leans against your locker with a casual grin, holding his hockey stick in one hand while the other props him up. You raise a brow, leaning against the cold metal of your locker door.
“To what do I owe the pleasure?” You ask sarcastically, scanning his usual bruised arms and scattered bandaids that litter his face. He clears his throat, eyes darting around to see if anyone else is close enough to hear.
“So, you know that bet Raph and I made a while back?”
“Uh huh,” You reply dubiously, already not liking how this conversation is going. Casey nibbles on his bottom lip in thought, conflicting emotions on his face as he decides whether or not to tell you what’s on his mind.
“Spit it out, Jones.” You sigh, crossing your arms.
“Well, I was thinking. It’s kinda reaching the end of the deadline for that bet, and maybe we could, like, fake date or something? Just to get the money from Raph. I’ll split it with you, of course!” He offers.
You’re taken aback, eyes wide as you slam shut your locker door. “What?” The disbelief in your voice is apparent, the forceful shut of your locker door causing the others next to it to rattle. Casey loses his balance, almost falling if not steadying himself in time.
“Wait, y/n! I’m serious!” He cries out, grabbing your wrist tightly. You flinch, ripping it out of his grasp with a doubtful stare. He begins walking alongside you, trying his best to convince you with honey-coated words.
“Look, it’s a serious amount of money. He bet fifty bucks! Imagine the looks on their faces when we show up together. Raph would freak!” He points out, noticing the ghost of a smile on your lips. He tries harder, knowing that you’d fall for his bait. Hook, line, and sinker.
“Plus, you could get back at them for making fun of that date.”
You pause, your footsteps slowing to a halt. That did sound rather appealing. Besides, what could go wrong? It’s just a fake relationship, and you’d score an easy twenty-five bucks on the side.
You sigh, shoulders sagging in defeat as you nod with a weary smile. “Fine.”
— — — — — — — — —
“Okay, we gotta make this believable.”
You eye his hand with thinly veiled reluctance, only to accept it and walk into the lair with your best lovey-dovey act. Casey all but drags you to Raph, and you can barely disguise your eye roll as batting your lashes at your fake boyfriend.
Could this boy be any more obvious?
Raph lets out a low whistle when he spots your entwined hands. You look straight at him with a confident gaze, raising a brow as you silently challenge him to say anything.
He raises his hands in mock surrender, closing his comic book.
“When did this- How did this- Don’t you two hate each other??” Donnie gestures to your linked hands with a baffled expression. Maybe he’s just seeing things. He rubs his eyes, blinking rapidly as he processes that what he sees is real.
Okay, so maybe he’s not seeing things.
Even still, this is you and Casey. The both of you that’re constantly at each other’s throats fighting every other day, while the days you don’t are thin ice.
“I don’t believe you.” Leo crosses his arms with a smug smile, waiting for the both of you to admit that it’s all just a prank.
“I dunno, guys, sweetheart and I here are tight! She asked me out first, too.” Casey tugs you closer with your linked hands, his free hand propped on his hip as if daring them to challenge his clearly believable story.
“Then prove it. Kiss her, or are you two, not a couple? As in, a couple of liars.” Raph snickers, Mikey chuckling at the pun.
You’re taken aback by Raph’s taunt, eyes darting between Jones and Raph. Your hand starts to grow clammy, and you want to rip it away from Casey’s gentle grip. However, his fingers squeeze your hand in an assured gesture as if he’s saying, It’s Okay.
“Well, get ready to eat your words.”
“Wait-”
Before you can finish your protest, Casey’s lips are on yours. They move against your frozen ones with such tenderness, and you’re too stunned to speak. However, your wide eyes slowly close the longer he kisses you, his fingers threading through your hair and leaving a trail of fire across the skin of your neck.
Your eyes slowly slide shut, starting to kiss back though every fibre in your being screams otherwise. Your hands are on his shoulders, moving closer and linking them behind his neck.
Casey's lips are warm, tugged up into that cocky smile of his you hate so desperately. You hate how you knew every trace of his skin, his stupid face seared into your memory. Even now, he’s probably not taking this seriously.
He’s so annoying, you think, automatically frowning slightly as he pulls away. You’re panting softly, watching his glazed eyes struggle to register your pink lips. You bite down on your bottom lip, your gaze flickering from his dazed eyes down to his lips.
It’s almost instinct, the way you tug him back in for another kiss with a renewed ferocity that rivals your hatred for the overconfident, carefree boy. He’s surprised, words dying in his chest as you squeeze your eyes shut. He can’t help but smile at your cute bravery, holding you a little closer than before.
Maybe a little longer, too.
Whoops and cheers snap you out of whatever had possessed you, pulling away with hazy eyes and flushed cheeks. You’re breathless, lips swollen before your cheeks bloom with a bright red that rivals Raph’s mask, realizing that you have essentially just made out with your fake boyfriend in front of a crowd.
Leo has his hands over his eyes, Donnie shielding his and Mikey’s vision from being permanently scarred. On the other hand, Raph eyes you both with an equally disgusted yet impressed gaze. If he had caught on to Casey’s and your ruse, he certainly didn’t show it.
He pulls out a fifty from the pages of his comic book, handing it to Casey, who accepts with a smirk, your eyes automatically following his plump lips from when you had practically sucked each other’s faces off.
You’re mortified.
You all but rip your hand out of Casey’s, clearing your throat and rubbing your arms. “I gotta go study at home,” You lie, plastering a fake smile on your face. Raph just shrugs, everyone else groaning and encouraging you to leave.
Casey watches you go with a hint of forlorn in his eyes and heads to the dojo, only to be stopped by Raph’s hand on his chest. “Go after her, stupid.” The turtle scoffs, pushing Casey toward the direction that you’ve just left.
“Wha-”
“You’re a bad actor. And so is she. The kiss wasn’t fake, dummy. I know that much. Now go, and since I’m so nice, I’ll let you keep the fifty for your first date.”
Casey glances down at the fifty dollar note in his hands, crumpling it and pressing it against Raph’s plastron before turning and running in the direction you’ve just left in.
It’s a while before you hear the footsteps splashing in the cold tunnels, hesitating. You turn your head to see Casey approaching you, heart doing a funny flip in your chest. You grit your teeth, shaking your head.
No. This isn’t happening. This definitely isn’t happening.
“It was just a bet, Casey.”
“Yeah, I-I mean, no! Not anymore…” He rubs the back of his neck, barely able to look you in the eyes.
“That’s all it was,” You deny, stepping back from him. He takes another step forward, the both of you caught in a cat-and-mouse game with him gradually cornering you. Your back hits the wall, breath hitching in your chest when he’s right in front of you.
You can’t look up; you don’t dare meet his gaze. Your hair falls around you, acting as a shield for you to hide behind. However, coarse fingers cup your chin, lifting it up so that you’re now looking straight at him.
Your cheeks are dusted with pink, eyes stinging with unshed tears.
Casey wants to kiss you again. Instead, he takes a deep breath, his voice low as he admits what’s on his mind.
“It’s not a bet anymore.
Not to me.”
