"We would have guys that frequent the dojo all the time, new applicants, new trainees, and I would feel like they would be there one day and then they'd be gone the next. And so I'd felt like, dang, these guys really lack discipline and they lacked dedication to the sport. So I need to know where these guys are at, can't just let them have a free ride here. Because if guys are moving all their stuff in just for one week later calling the U-haul in to take all their stuff out, it just gets annoying and we needed to create a new generation, we needed to create the future generation, especially once that I knew that I would be moving on to New Japan. It was really important to me to make sure that DDT's future would be okay.

And we had sort of known that Takeshita was gonna be around and that the company had put a lot of stock into him for the future, but one person, one athlete is not enough. And a lot of people had hoped or thought that Endo would be that guy. And so I started to put people through the ringer. And we had a park that was kinda near the house [dorm]. And I would do like my running training or my jogging over there, and I wanted to see, you know, what kinda stuff Endo is made of. And it wasn't that I wanted him to beat me, it wasn't that I was purposely trying to break him or anything like that, I just wanted to see if he had the heart to try and keep up.

And I actually went to the park and I made sure that I went with another wrestler who the company didn't have that much stock in and was only there just to visit, and I wanted to compare the levels of dedication. I wanted to see who wanted it more. And so i took this wrestler from Chile, named Guanchulo, someone who came from an area that had a scene but his dream was to make it in Japan. So I knew that he was dedicated, I knew that he had the passion. so did Endo? So I went to the track, we went to run. And the first lap is tough but then the second gets worse and then the third one kinda gets into this weird place where you don't feel anything or whatever. But then from lap four onward it gets really rough. And at that point too my knees were already pretty shoddy, not as bad as they are now. But, you know, they would hurt after a while if I would run too much or just use them too much. And Endo quit a lap and a half in. And I said, "Endo, you're out, get out. Go home, you're done, you don't got what it takes, you need to find what it is deep in here [points at chest]. And then you come back and let me know if you wanna be a wrestler." And he was sad. And from that day onward he took more interest in bodybuilding, I started to see him study more tapes. And he only studied, like, oldschool TNA AJ Styles, but hey, I mean, nothing wrong with that. I mean, that's a great person to look up to. And I've been there.

So it was great to see him watch more tapes, he started to take his diet more seriously, he started to train more, I saw him buying more weights for the house, he started a subscription to Muscle Fitness, and you started to see it. Little change, little by little by little. And now, if you've ever seen him live, he's completely changed his appearance, he's kinda, himself and the aid of others have catapulted him to the upper echelon of [DDT, he mistakenly says AEW], he's higher up in the card.

So did I train him, like wrestling-wise? No. Can I even take credit? No. I tried to, I wanna say it was because of me, but I was there for the beginning of that process, or when he had that revelation that he was gonna take it more serious and become the person that i guess he was destined to become in DDT.

DDT had always thought for sure that they had a future with Endo and Takeshita. And I think they knew that Takeshita's dreams were in the west, they knew that he wanted to make a run for it more on an international scale. And I think Endo they wanted to make more like the domestic star, and I think they'd gotten themselves into a position where they could do that. And where Takeshita is now, I think his main contract is with AEW and Endo is still over in DDT. And he held the belt for a while, he was doing stuff in the tag division, I mean he's always high up on the card. And he's doing really well for himself.

And obviously, if you guys here have seen Takeshita in AEW or maybe some of the promotions he's appeared for like PWG or DPW or what have you, he's been doing great there too." Kenny talking about his wrestling sons Takeshita and Endo on stream (starts at around 24:37)

y/n woke up today, feeling quite uneasy and with a heavy heart

y/n didn't tell anyone like always because she didn't want anyone to worry and she had to film a video so theyre was not time in thinking about how she felt,

she was sitting downstairs in the beta squad house on the couch dressed into a sweatpants and one of sharky's hoodies she was quite comfortable as she was staring at her phone looking at tik tok and she heard niko and aj yelling and loud thumping from them running down the stairs

y/n sighed and looked behind her over her shoulder and gave them a weird look "yo whats up with you lot why so loud its 8 in the morning" y/n said with annoyence

as kenny agreed as he was sitting on the other couch also on his phone aj chuckled and said "oh someone is cranky in the morning and u lot get ready because we have a video to film or did u guys forget huh"

aj looked at me and kenny with a fake pout and i flicked him off getting of the couch and walking up to me and sharky's shared room and i walked in seeing sharky at his desk playing a game and i sighed sitting on the bed, as i saw sharky looking over his shoulder with an confused look

"you alright there love?" sharky said looking at me over his shoulder and i just gave him a nod "get ready we're about to film a video" i said quietly as i got up from the bed and walked over to the closet

i heard sharky's chair screech against the floor and i felt sharky taking my hand pulling me on his lap as he tried looking in my eyes but i just avoided eye contact knowing that i would start crying if i looked in his eyes

"look at me y/n" sharky said sounding quite firm, i shook my head looking down at my nails as i picked at them and i felt sharky taking my jaw gently and making me look at him and he said quietly "whats wrong baby"

i sighed feeling the tears coming and i just shrugged "i dont fucking know i woke up feeling like shit and with a heavy hard and i dont know if i can do the video cause im really not feeling it but i dont wanna disappoint you or the other members you know"

i mumbled feeling some tears rolling down my face and sharky pulled me closer kissing the top of my head and whispering in my ear "look ill tell the guys ur not in the mood and ill stay here with u and make sure ur doing okay" i frown shaking my head quickly

"no sharky i cant let u do that the guys need u in theyre videos" i said serious and sharky just looked back at me "and u need me look the guys will understand alright"

i still shook my head looking at him like hes dumb "look i'll just make it through the video" sharky shook his head "baby ur not feeling like it so im not gonna force u to do something that ur not in the mood for" sharky said giving my arm a gently squeezing to comfort me

It was yours and nikos' anniversary, and you both have been together for over a year. Ever since you met him, your life has changed for the better. No matter how many fights you both had, nothing could change the fact that you love him. There were ups and downs in ur relationship, but that never stopped you. Your love for each other grew every day, therefore never stopping. Even through the toughest times of ur life, niko was always there for you right there next to your side, telling you that everything would be okay. Even him just being in the same room as you made your heart flutter. To you, niko was always there for you. Sure, you liked to hang out with the others like sharky and aj, but niko always managed to cheer u up even on the most gloomy days. You wanted to get him something special,something that you knew he would like, but you just weren't sure what that was.

Nikos POV:

It was mine and y/ns anniversary today, and i wanted to take her somewhere special,somewhere that i knew she would like. The beach was perfect. It was where me and y/n first met,it was truly love at first sight.

Y/Ns pov:

At this point, you were basically stressing. You didn't want to get niko something that he wouldn't like. You had 2 things in mind one being a jacket and one being a hoodie that you knew he would like, but being the indecisive person you are, you called one of nikos' best friends,aj to ask for his opinion. "Yeah, you should definitely go with the jacket he has been wanting that for ages!" Said aj. "Okay thanks aj ill call u back later and tell you how it went." You said.

small time skip~

After getting the jacket, you put in a small box with a message inside. You had high hopes for today, afterall you would do anything to make niko happy. You then heard your phone vibrate. It was niko calling you. You instantly smiled and answered his call. "Hey, love." You said. "Hey darling, im coming to pick you up in an hour. i want to take you somewhere special for our anniversary. See you soon!" Said niko. You couldn't help but blush. "Okay, see you soon, love." You said as you hung up the phone. You were over the moon. You couldn't wait to see what your boyfriend had planned.

Small-time skip~

An hour passed by, and you were almost ready. Just then, you heard a knock on the door. As you opened the door, there stood niko. "Hey love, i planned a special night for us, and im here to take you there." Said niko. You smiled as you grabbed a box from the table beside you and gave it to him. "I got you something as well!" You said, trying to sound normal when you were actually a nervous wreck. His eyes lit up like a child receiving presents on christmas as he opened your gift. You were thrilled he liked the gift. "Omg! Thank you so much, my love. You know me so well!" He said, pulling you into a kiss as you wrapped your arms around his neck as he put his arms on your waist. As you pulled back,breaking the kiss, you smiled as he grabbed your hand. You both made your way to his car.

Time skip~

You looked up to see a beautiful sunset at the beach as your eyes lit up."This is so... beautiful!" You said. "Im glad you like it, my love, i wouldn't want to be here with anyone right now except you." He said. His words meant so much to you. You both walked on the sand and stopped as you smiled, looking into his eyes as he pulled you into a kiss making making you feel as if the world around you stopped moving. The memories of meeting him for the first time replayed inside your head, making this moment truly special.

My kingdom for hopeful-verse Miles and Kamala (platonically preferred) - any prompt you want, but I think 43 could be nice?

#43 -- piggy back rides part of this au im like 394834 years late answering this but i do finally have something to offer. what was originally meant to be a touching scene where the gang finally runs into kamala's family ended up as ... this ... because the pacing was a disaster and i couldnt salvage it. hopefully i will eventually write the other thing. thank u to @foolgobi65 and @firstelevens for being good friends and talking me thru some of my "uuuugh i hate writing" moments. we didnt quite make it thru but something definitely was achieved.

They break into Walmart through the smelliest part of the garden center. Miles has to carry Kamala piggy back style to do it, and so almost doesn’t catch AJ when he slips and falls face-first towards a big bag of fertilizer. AJ starts giggling upside down beneath the greenhouse window, one leg held up by last-second webbing and the other gripped in Bucky’s right hand. 

When Miles has pictured post-apocalyptic Walmarts in the past, he’s always imagined them to be abandoned. Like maybe some trashed empty shelves, or flickering lights. Spooky wind blowing through the place. That kind of shit. If they wanted to enter one, they’d break the door down, badass style, with the butt of their cool post-apocalyptic rifle.

Miles played through The Last of Us with Uncle Aaron and only got creeped out like, twice; he knows how this stuff works. 

They’d sneak through the empty place all vigilant (that’s a word Dad loved) and he’d grab all the Tylenols from the top most shelf no one else had reached while Peter or Bucky or Sam kept a careful eye trained on their surroundings, and if bad guys showed up, they’d do badass stuff and then drive away tires screeching in their cool getaway pickup truck.

Miles – who should really know better, given the multiple months of this world he’s lived through by now – thinks the reality of life is exponentially more stupid.

“Exponentially,” recites AJ, who has recovered from his near-fall (though Bucky still looks stressed) and is evidently getting more and more bored of holding tightly onto Aunt Sarah’s hand by the minute. “When somethin’ grows by means of a ma-the-matical component.”

He sing-songs mathematical, though he’s a smart enough kid to keep it all to a whisper. While AJ drags his feet, Aunt Sarah, who has been tense since they stepped foot out of Madame G’s house five hundred cross-country miles ago, and is tenser now post AJ-in-fertilizer disaster,  continues flicking her eyes around sharply. She’s fisted her free hand in her hoodie pocket where Miles knows she keeps her knife. Miles wants to tell her that he’s sure his spidey sense would notice if there were any bad guys behind the ant-be-gone displays, definitely, but a niggling little voice in his own head is also stressed out. 

“Is that right, baby?” she asks in an absent whisper.

“Momma, you gotta tell me if I got exponentially right.”

“You got it right, AJ,” says Miles.

AJ heaves the quietest Loud Sigh Miles has ever heard, “Like, we are exponentially not finding any drugs.”

“Pain medication,” Kamala mutters immediately, from over Miles’s shoulder. She twisted her ankle when they all jumped off the moving train.

… Yeah. Life’s been pretty crazy recently. Miles wonders what Dad would say about it.

“I don’t need drugs.”

“That’s exponentially false,” AJ offers.

“Technically,” agrees Miles, “ibuprofen is a drug.” 

“Um, there’s a total difference between necessary medication and drugs?” 

“Morally?”

“Yes,” Kamala hisses. Then she frowns. “No! Wait, no. Sometimes. Ugh – Miles!”

“You’re the one bein’ a hater,” he says, low voice, grinning. “It’s okay, we’ll steal you Tylenol instead.”

“Good,” she mumbles.

“... Which is also technically a drug –” 

Miles gets the last word before all three of them are quelled by Bucky’s silent raised eyebrow.

The reality of life — so much less cool than Miles’s imagination and video games — is that while the old Roxxon big box by the pier in NOLA had been ransacked and half cleaned out ages before Miles and Peter started sneaking in and out, this place is stocked. 

There’s stuff from the floors to the ceilings, and it’s making Miles a little dizzy with the sensory feedback. 

“Maybe it’s ‘cause we’re almost in Texas,” Kamala whispers wonderingly into his ear, as they peer around a corner at a giant car tire display.

It’s not like there are customers inside or anything, which makes the whole thing stupider. Just a big ass Walmart full of shit being guarded by bad dudes with guns, but just for that, they gotta sneak around.

“B.”

“Hm.”

“You know I don’t like splitting up,” Aunt Sarah’s voice comes out in a tense whisper.

They’re camped by electronics, trying to map their route. Miles can’t sense anyone in the aisles immediately close to them but they can still hear the occasional walkie talkie sound off and the distant opening and closing of the warehouse doors on the other side of the building, where the real action is happening. 

Aunt Sarah’s expressed this sentiment before, twice by now actually. The first time was when the whole idea was introduced. Like, hey, wouldn’t it be easier if we split up, and you guys grabbed groceries and jacked one of the big cargo trucks they’ve got sitting in the back lot with GreatValue: Part of Your Community plastered over the side, while we got Kamala’s pain meds? 

There was a whole thing where everyone argued about who was the best at hotwiring trucks. Peter and Sam eventually won out over Bucky, who Miles has a niggling suspicion wouldn’t have left Aunt Sarah and AJ and Kamala anyway. Ned and MJ are doing groceries, with the help-slash-protection of their new and terrifying Wakandan friend Captain Ayo, who Miles thinks actually probably has great taste in snacks.

“I know,” Bucky says, a very quiet statement out of the side of his mouth. His eyes are on the aisle in front of them, and the giant tire display, but something about the way he says it is like, he gets something Aunt Sarah isn’t saying that none of the rest of them can. Kamala claims they’re madly in love, which she told Miles about in the strictest confidence. Kamala is a big believer in being madly in love. Miles isn’t so sure, but the exchange does remind him of his mom and dad, which is an emotion so strong Miles’s already tripping senses stumble over themselves to cope with it, so he shoves it down and ignores it entirely. 

He focuses on Kamala’s uncomfortable squirming instead. The piggy-back ride is because her ankle hurt too much to walk on, and Miles figures it’s probably really sore by now.

“You okay?” he whispers, just to her.

“Ugh,” she admits. She wouldn’t have said anything like that to the adults, he knows.

“So I shouldn’t put you down?” She’d spent ten minutes arguing that she was too heavy for him, outside.

“I’d have a really bad limp,” she sighs, sounding miserable. Bucky’s still kind of limping too, on account of getting mauled by a giant rat thing. That’s what Sam said, anyway.

“Besties in limping,” Miles says, which is worth it for Kamala’s quiet giggle. Aunt Sarah hears them and reaches out her free hand to rub Kamala’s back.

“Escalator route,” Bucky decides on finally. AJ looks up with large and solemn eyes, hopeful that they’re finally gonna get a move on. “There by the freezers, there are enforcers. We go behind the escalators, we won’t run into anyone.”

Aunt Sarah stares hard at the frozen foods aisle, then at Bucky. “How do we know, behind the escalators –?”

“Miles,” Bucky whispers. It’s so low Miles could pretend not to hear him if he really wanted, which is kind of impressive given that they’re sardined so close together Miles is basically breathing in the poor guy’s ear.

“I don’t sense anyone,” Miles says, maybe a little less confidently than he means. Kamala shifts her hands nervously where they clasp around his neck, and the plastic beads from one of her bracelets dig into his collar bone. He clears his throat. “Remind me again why I couldn’t have just grabbed us this shit on my own and got out?”

“Zappy invisibility doesn’t make up for the power of friendship?” Kamala offers.

Bucky shoots them another look over his shoulder. 

“No. Interstate is on the other side of the lot anyway. Going around would’ve been more dangerous.”

“Dude,” Miles says, “how do you do that. You’re like barely moving your mouth.”

“Uncle B used to be a ninja,” AJ whispers solemnly from the floor, now completely resigned to his boredom.

“It’s ‘cause his mom was from New Jersey,” says Kamala. “Everyone from Jersey has mad skills.”

Bucky makes a face, like, why did I ever tell a bunch of kids about my life. Miles is sympathetic.

“I think being from Jersey should count against you in a court of law,” Miles says. “Anyway, no way, B’s a New Yorker.”

“His energy gives matrilineal skill adoption,” Kamala whispers.

“What’s matrilinear?” asks AJ.

“Jesus fucking Christ,” mutters Bucky.

Miles and Kamala grin; AJ makes a shocked Pikachu face at the cuss.  

Aunt Sarah looks tense again. “James.”

He sighs, recalibrates, turns to her: “We’ll be fine.” The hard staring thing resumes. After a second Bucky’s mouth moves, and this time no sound comes out at all, except it kind of looks like he’s saying honey. At any rate, Aunt Sarah’s expression softens. Miles feels Kamala breathe in sharply and dig her fingers into his shoulder like dude, dude, see?! 

Bucky turns back to look at them and Miles tries to school his expression into something totally chill and not interested in the grown-up drama.

“Clear line of sight. You guys good for the rear?”

Miles puffs his chest out a little. “You kidding? With our combined powers?”

“Me and Miles are like a quadruple threat for government watch lists,” Kamala whispers, a crooked tilt to her grin.

Miles tries very hard not to snort out loud. He makes a dumb choking sound instead; Bucky sighs.

The reality of dystopian Walmarts might suck, but it's kind of nice that he has Kamala around, to make dumb jokes about it with. With that thought, they plow forward, to secure the drugs.

"Pain meds!" Kamala hisses, and Miles grins.

BIO

Alex was born in San Francisco, California as the middle child of the Park-Kwon household. Two high school sweethearts that did nothing but provide the best they could for their kids: Alex lived a quiet, peaceful childhood, surrounded by love and support.

However... he also grew up becoming the “black sheep” of the family. His parents were respected doctors, and his siblings were book smart: Alex on the other hand... he was always getting in trouble, especially when his teenage years began. He was often found in detention, skipping classes, barely passing them. It’s safe to say that during this time, his relationship with his parents wasn’t as sweet as before.

While his siblings prepared to one day go to med school too... Alex had a very different passion: music. From a young age, he developed a love and interest for it. Asking for a guitar for Christmas when he just was 12 years old: after stumbling upon a Blink 182 video playing on tv, the moment his life changed forever when he found the solace he needed in pop punk music.

At 15 he started a pop punk band with his two childhood best friends that they called “So It Goes!”, his parents weren’t necessarily against his musical dreams: but they did have a hard time understanding them. Especially when no one in the family happened to be music inclined before. For as long as Alex can remember, he has always naturally stood from any crowd.. always the odd one out, but not necessarily in a bad way.  

Still: his parents were supportive, deep inside hoping Alex would eventually get his shit together and pursue a career in the medical field too (spoiler: that never happened lmao).

So It Goes! began to gain local popularity, eventually expanding to an online following too. Till being discovered and signed by a label during their senior year of high school, prompting for them to move to L.A after graduation to pursue their dreams and start working on their debut album: Gloom Boy Season, that was released in September 2016.  

Since debuting, So It Goes! become a favorite in the alternative/pop punk scene: having released 4 albums and 1 EP by now, and having toured around the world (also, a couple of Warped Tours on their bag). They aren’t My Chemical Romance or Green Day type of fame (yet)... but they have a core fanbase, and anyone who enjoys pop punk probably has heard their name before as one of the late 2010s bands to keep an eye on.

Oh yeah... I’m basing So It Goes! on one of my favorite bands aka Waterparks: in case you didn’t know who they were before, this is my time to shamelessly promo them and tell you to check out this banger for Alex’s band vibes.

If you were wondering about where his relationship with his parents stands now.. they’re okay now after he proved them that he Made It with his band and apparently “got his shit together” by it... they still don’t quite get him, but they love and support him which is what matters 😞  💓.

(tw pregnancy and miscarriage mention) Beginning 2018, Alex got into his purest and greatest relationship to date ( @scftglows​ ). Near their first anniversary, they found out she was expecting. They decided to keep the news to themselves and those closest to them until her belly was “noticeable enough” to tell the world: but unfortunately, Josie had a miscarriage during the first trimester. They tried to make the relationship work afterwards, but the pain was too much in the end, so they decided to call it quits instead in the summer of 2019: never revealing to the public the real reason behind the breakup.

Of course this caused Alex to spiral: first falling into a deep depression, then indulging in reckless behavior to try and numb the pain. Encouraged by his band mates to deal with it all in a “more healthy way”: he finally felt brave enough to go back into the studio and their saddest album to date (“Crying Over It All”) was released in late 2020. 

Putting himself back into the spotlight and touring again was pretty scary at first: but being near the fans again and feeling/seeing all their support ultimately ended up being pretty healing, motivating him to quickly go back into the studio and releasing an album early this year (“Lowkey As Hell”), with another tour coming during the spring and summer.

The past couple of years have been A Lot, so after So It Goes!’ summer tour ended: Alex finally decided he needed a little rest (something he didn’t really have ever since his band debuted in 2016), which is what he’s been doing ever since he got back home two months ago: just enjoying and cherishing all this free time to take care of himself.

Though this moment of peace has been lowkey (highkey) disrupted now, after his label/management recently forced him to get into a PR relationship with band rival @nadinexluna​ in order to promote an upcoming summer festival the two will be headlining. (hoping you all brought your popcorn bc this will be Messy™) 

Three years later and thanks to all the love and support from his family, friends and fans (and tons of therapy): Alex is doing way better now. The whole thing it’s still a really painful topic he never talks about, but he finally managed to go back to being his old, goofy self again ♡ (a little bit more mature tho). 

PERSONALITY/HEADCANONS

Just your average Leo man™ who loves the attention. On a good day he’s too hyper for his own good: pretty impulsive so his energy is A Lot to deal with lmaoo (chaos for days). He can also come off as childish a lot of the times over the same thing, but he’s really kind hearted and would do anything for those he cares for... golden retriever energy. On a bad day: he just retreats from the world and doesn’t leave his apartment, since he tends to be pretty emotional and sometimes that gets the best of him.

Big comic book nerd! Marvel fanboy (his fave superhero of all time is Spiderman): has a huge funko pop collection, and he also loves to come up with his own characters and stories (another safe haven of his). He’s been able to use these skills for designing merch or the artwork for all of his band’s albums. One of his love languages is to gift lil comic books where his loved ones are the protagonists of the story.  

Has a six year old female cat named Sally (yes, after that one Blink 182 song) that he adopted after he moved to L.A.

Loved Sk8r Boi by Avril Lavigne (forever his #1 love) as a kid so much that he became The Sk8r Boi... though it’s been a while since he properly skated, but he’s getting back to it so catch him wounded often lmao.

All he ever wants in life is to be like Tom DeLonge someday /: (without quitting his own band... u get it). Gerard Way is also one of his heroes bc well... music and comics, duh.

okay so I've been kinda planting seeds with adeline.

last round, adeline was kinda playing the whole "I didn't really talk to anyone on my original tribe" thing, and honestly I kinda don't believe her, bc she was definitely giving me insider tea on the alliances and drama that was going on over there. but I think it was just a ploy from her so that we'd vote out shawn over her. it worked? maybe?

HOWEVER I was also planting my own seeds, saying that I was the next to go on OG Antigua, I barely survived our last tribal, and I don't have any undying loyalty to them. All true, but definitely played it up more just so that I have an in with some new school players going into merge.

I think if a merge happens I wanna work closely with Zo, Adeline, and Raffy. Those are the three that I feel like i can trust right now. I checked in with Raffy & Brandi a few times, barely checked in with jinx, I don't think I've spoken to Arvin since the first night of the swap. I saw "idioms" and said nope I will not be doing this challenge if it's only 3 running it. I've completely forgot or had wild scheduling so just haven't don't the idol hunt in like 4 days. Just chilling over here ⛱️ was gonna try to get an advantage for the team but looks like they were absolutely fine without it.

Wowie I can’t believe this. I sat out because I was out having a #hotgirlsummer and was away from my computer. Aaaaand….we lost. This will be our second tribal and I honestly have no idea what’s going to happen. Considering if I should give my idol to Trinica before tribal or not, maybe I be chaotic and give it to Clefford and tell nobody about it. Though I know if I give it to Trinica she’s the most likely to transfer it back. Well, decisions decisions. Seems like the vote is Tanner but honestly idek at this point.

Well, we lost. Which is not at all surprising given the challenge and our tribe's limitations around English idioms and timezones haha.

But that's okay, this is an eventuality I expected and almost wanted in a way. Hairie wants me, Clefford, and Tanner to vote AJ. But Clefford doesn't want to vote AJ because she's better at challenges than Tanner. So the vote will very likely be on Tanner instead. Buuuuut I called AJ and told her Hairie had been saying her name so she'll potentially play her idol, which will HOPEFULLY leave me as the only Sin Sazonar holding an idol. I tried to hint to her that we could idol out someone who's more of a threat but she seemed really uninterested in strategizing because she's sick. Like she was about to just give me the idol and part of me wanted to be like yeeeeah I'll hold it for you but also I think if I had agreed she would've gotten sus.

Sooo idk who will actually go tonight but I'm hopeful it won't be me and an idol will be put back in the hunt (maybe).

Well, my game just changed by a fucking lot. I just lost my entire alliance AND Champ. I at least have Steven, who kind of got me into this mess, and Kaleigh but I haven't talked game with her at all. I've gotta assume Steven has been talking with her through the screen cap challenge so I hope we can stick together. They're at least both strong in challenges. But Champ let me know that Raffy is here to play and that he plays WELL, so I've either gotta go for him first or figure out what I can do to get on his good side. I've at least got an extra vote, and I'm gonna be "transparent" about my shot in the dark because in a 3 v 3 at tribal I have to assume they'd think it be reckless and selfish to ever use. Okay. I can do this.

I really like Alex and Kaleigh. My biggest allies were Drea and Raffy, but drea had to leave so that kind of messed some things up. I don't feel super secure. Probably going to have to flip and go Raffy when it comes to it. The other 3 seem too tight. Raffy is my biggest threat since we are the only 2 Calypso left on this tribe. We're both targets. My path to the end is going to be paved with friendship and challenge wins. Will hunt when I have time!

what a wild ride it’s been!! okay we swapped groups and now my tribe is me, steven, alex, michael, and raffy. i’ve learned (thru steven who learned from taffy) that zee is siblings w aj which blew my mind. INFORMATION! ummm alex and steven and i have a little original soca 3 alliance, still have not been to tribal, andddd I MISS ZEE!!!! their lil wes anderson video was so cuteeeee.

last night i was up late and was (i think) the first person to see that we have another boat excursion. my thinking was, OH, YAY, I’VE NEVER BEEN AROUND WHEN A BOAT CAME ! bc the two other times we’ve had a boat come the first person to respond and be like “i’ll go!” ended up going. so i was like, ok, i’m not gonna say i wanna go cuz i kinda don’t, and steven’s already been on an excursion, and i do nottttt want any kind of advantage to be outside of my soca alliance, so i’m just gonna respond and vote for alex and then everyone else will and we’ll all be good. NOPE! in the morning raffy responds and is like “i kinda wanted to go” LMAO BABE? WHAT? SORRY, NO. so alex and steven both msg me and are like uhhh what are u doing LMFAOOOOO LIKE ALEX DEFINITELY DID NOT WANT TO GO AND STEVEN WAS LIKE ?????? DOES ALEX WANT TO GO?????? oopsies. anyway so i told them both i was just up late and eager to not let michael or raffy get an advantage. steven was like ok makes sense , but alex was sooooooo resistant bc he did the hero challenge and got a shot in the dark, like he even suggested that he vote for raffy in the hopes of doing a split? absolutely not! anyway this was my first time feeling like a messy bitch in the game cuz i clearly pissed off or at least ruffled the feathers of my soca alliance with my 2am decision to throw Alex’s name out there and vote for him for the excursion.

okay what else… i like michael, he seems chill and we talked a little about tv stuff. i get the distinct feeling that raffy has zero interest in working with me. steven and alex have both mentioned talking to him privately about the game and i’m like bro he rly isn’t talking to me LMAO like his bio is like “i’m a book nerd!” so i messaged him day 1 and was like omg me too, u reading anything good? and he was like no i’ve been busy. and the convo died right there LMAO which like, sure ok, ur busy… but i’ve never met a book nerd who didn’t like LEAAAPPPPPPP on a chance to talk to another book person about their favs or what they’ve been reading or whatever. so yeah that feels a little sticky bc it seems like raffy is talking about the game with evvvvveryone in my tribe except me. BUT i feel good about my alliance with steven and alex and hopefully zee and champ toooooooooooooo if i make it to the mergey merge.

also i found a dog thanks to zee, NOW WE HAVE A DOG! the vote for keeping it or not hasn’t concluded but hopefully the dog will stay? like who’s gonna vote no for the dog? come on. anyway strongest allies rn are steven and alex and hopefully zee - if i HAD to target someone it would be raffy only bc it *rly* feels like he doesn’t want to work w me, but i’m def not targeting him rn bc i know he’s allied w steven and possibly alex too and their numbers are my numbers rn ((i think)).

Ok I have a lot to say. So from this tribe swap, I actually didn’t mind how I got swapped. Steven was with me and Andrea was with me. I didn’t feel swap screwed and felt that I was in a good position to survive till either merge or the next swap. However, then Andrea had to leave game. Now I kind of feel all alone. Sure there’s Michael but I don’t really know where I stand with him. And Steven does have some connections with Kaleigh and Alex from original tribes. I’m definitely worried about next tribal.

I did find like 4 advantages though! One challenge advantage, one transparent advantage, one advantage to talk to someone on another tribe, and an idol! So I’m swimming in riches at this point. I feel much more confident with these tools by my side.

During the challenge, my tribe was a little annoying with getting good clips that weren’t bad. Also not Kaleigh just outright refusing to send me b-roll lol. That rubbed me the wrong way. And I wish I pushed more for not doing vertical cause it did look bad and had to use some BS excuse on the judges so they wouldn’t dock too many points. Right now my tribe rankings goes as follows from best to “I wanna vote out first”: Steven, Alex, Michael, Kaleigh. I put Kaleigh in the bottom because early in the morning she locked in her vote for Alex to go on the excursion without discussing it with anyone! Like that’s shady and lets me know they might be working together. Well now I wanna go on excursion so that duo doesn’t get their way.

Seriously - that's what I feel like this morning. Everyone's favorite ACE auntie eman is having a very rough time being positive this morning, but that doesn't mean I'll stop trying.

But if something doesn't give soon the carrot may have to give way for the stick because I can only try the same thing so many times before I question whether I'm giving way to insanity.

Anyway . . . TONY and I are getting on very well. And I've had a few good one-on-one conversations with Kolby(!) (who is probably too young to know why the exclamation point after his name makes me giggle with memories of a failed presidential run from a former governor of Florida) and I wish he would engage as actively in the primary chat.

Tanner also started a chat with me and then ghosted after I replied. I've called Kathryn out in the primary but I might try something with her privately today--bonding over the shared "mom" role or something cuz I refuse to just give up. Yeah, I'm kinda bummed at being abandoned (although I did tell Steven I would accept his decision regardless, and part of me maybe wonders if he let me go because he knew I would fare well on my own and could then come back, so it just means Astyn didn't do their homework and/or Steven persuaded them not to pick me--and/or based on my bio I was unappealing . . . there's a lot of ways I could read this, and--like I said, I'm trying to stay positive and keep fighting). Now to go back to trying to be the fluffer and puffer upper . . .

So, after my confession yesterday morning, I was so excited to suddenly hear from Kathryn (and she seems super-fun, just getting that out there).

And then . . . more crickets. I keep ping-ponging between hopeful and hopeless. But we've got 36 hours to hammer this out, so I'm not gonna give up. And if I have to pull this together with stock footage, team photos and my own narration I will. And we've got somewhere between a 20% and a 35% advantage so that's gotta count for something.

But seriously folks - stop expecting me to do your emotional labor; it's sexist and lazy. So when I ask how you want to participate, don't turn it back on me to find a role for you. I expect me to tell you how you want to participate, what're you good at? What are you comfortable with? HOW DO YOU WANT TO PARTICIPATE.

But no - I gotta make a good impression and get along and get the thing done, and these people are virtual (and virtual) strangers, so I'll do your emotional labor, but I'm gonna remember that you're making me do it (Tanner, Nick, and even you Kolby).

I was fully ready to cast a vote for either Tanner or Nick, and then Kathryn, delightful Kathryn, had to go and volunteer to get voted off.

And with regret, I'm going to accept the offer - because why waste capital (and my extra vote) trying to change a sure thing.

And even if I think Kathryn at her perceived uselessness will still be more useful than Nick or Tanner, I am not going to tell someone else they're wrong, nor am I going to have them resent me by going against their own wishes.

At least I'm still alive. With an extra vote and a 10% advantage going into the next challenge.

I'm also bizarrely optimistic about my chances of surviving on this non-participatory tribe and making the merge . . . and then who knows!

So, this was a chaotic time. We swapped around tribes a couple times and then got set with a "challenging challenge" with a very short time limit (ಥ⌣ಥ). I can't believe we managed to get a movie trailer made in just a couple days, and everyone actually helped out in making it! Color me surprised ( ﾟДﾟ). But I'm really happy with the tribe members I ended up with, they're all pretty awesome! ( ᐛ ) Everyone worked really hard on the trailer, and I still can't believe we had such a master of acting on our team ( Tony, you're a savant ( ˘ ³˘)♥ ). And Emily got everything so quickly edited, managing to work with the rest of us giving her clips last minute (especially me!), I think they really carried the team in this round. It was a ton of fun making the trailer, and everyone really put themselves out there. I believe I'll be the one getting voted off this round, but it's all good since I'll be moving on to greater things, like long plane rides, and babysitting. So I wish the remainders luck now while I still can! Good luck guys, you can definitely reach the final rounds! (•̀ᴗ•́)و ̑̑
