Hi Stitch! Since lately not many people are asking you Taang and dunebabies headcanon, I was wondering... how do Aang and Toph react when they found out their kids start dating?

Hi Rise! Thank you for this ask, I'm always happy to chat about Taang :D It's been a little quiet recently, but hopefully this kicks off Taang week with a bang! :)

So when it comes to their kids dating, I think Toph and Aang have similar thoughts, but depending on the kid, their execution is a little off haha!

Like, they both want their kids to be happy and will respect whoever they choose to date. But sometimes... they can be a little much haha!

I see Toph as being the chill parent and being like "Yeah, I figured you were dating" and Aang being the eager/"nosy" parent like "*Gasp*! You're dating? Who? Tell me everything!" He seems like he would love to hear all the details while his kids just groan at him because "please it's not a big deal just leave me alone!"

The only issue I think Aang would have would be when Suyin (their youngest girl in my AU) starts dating. She'd probably be the first to date, too! But Su's a daddy's girl through and through, and Aang just can't believe his baby girl is all grown up and dating people. He probably gets super defensive for her too and kind of interrogates the person lol. Toph pulls him back and tells him to chill out because being meddling parents is not their style.

Suyin and Gyatso from my AU seem like the type to date a lot and are pretty open about that sort of stuff, so after the first time the kids bring their dates over, Toph and Aang are pretty chill with dates going forward. With Lin and Kenji, those two are more quiet and reserved about relationships, so they try not to make it more awkward by asking too many questions or making the kids feel embarrassed. Toph and Aang ask the necessary questions, but then they usually wait for Lin and Kenji to open up to them more, which eventually, they do.

And then I think after their kid leaves for their date, Toph and Aang just sit or stand in silence and let out a quiet sigh. Like, Wow. Their kids are growing up and are starting to fall in love. How crazy, and can you believe how fast time flies? They certainly can't!

Peter is the Avatar ofc, he already has the airbending moves down and hes generally a pacifist that only wants to help ppl.

Wade is Zuko.....self explanatory.

Tony stark is Sokka, they both like inventions (that sometimes blow up in their faces), intelligent and saracastic, and are often looked over because they dont have special ~abilities~.

Steve is Katara, a mother hen he'll bent on doing right who charges in with out thinkingnabout their safety. (Yes Ik hes got the whole being frozen for 100 years thing on lock but I'm ignoring it cause it doesnt work in this story)

Natasha could be toph, she's got the cool headed confidence it takes to be a metal bender.

Uncle Ben = Gyasto, again self explanatory.

Francis can be the Fire lord since hes a popular fanfic villian, or we can use Wades dad.

Maybe blind Al is uncle Iroh? Seems alittle OC but we'll work on it. If Steve wasnt already used hed make a great iroh with bucky as our Lu ten.

Its a work in progress, I'll keep ya updated.

The Avatar's daughter and Fire Lord and Lady's son spotted together at the flower garden.

Avatar Aang and Master Toph relationship in CRISIS?! Worlds Mediators have own problems at home.

• NO LAUGHING MATTER!

It looks like Master Sokka's young daughter didn't inherit her father's funny bone!

Last weekend, Nanurjuk BOMBS her comedic haiku during a haiku battle!

• Gyasto Beifong SPEAKS?! Presumed mute, Avatar's young daughter rumored to have spoken!

• CAUGHT IN THE ACT!!!

Master Suki and Sokka having a steamy, makeout session after the art exhibition! Page 69.

• Yue II takes royal carriage on a WILD, JOYRIDE through town with Lobsang Beifong and her cousin, Princess Kya!

• Is Zuko CHEATING on Master Katara with his teenage ex, Mai? His secrets on page 33.

—Suki and Sokka think they're incredibly stupid.

—Aang finds them ridiculous and Toph thinks it's the most funny thing she ever heard.

—Katara reads one of them during breakfast:

“Looks like you're cheating on me this time.” She sips her tea.

Zuko shrugged, “It's only fair. You were getting real chummy with Aang in that hug last month.”

When his daughters, Lobsang and Gyasto II, were first born, Aang was actually happy when they would cry.

They've been in Toph's stomach for 9 months, and he can finally hold them, stroke the tuft of hair on their head,take a whiff of the new baby smell.

They're both apart of of him and Toph and he's simply overjoyed that he's a father and cherish them with unconditional love.
