Friendly reminder to just focus on our own favorite ships:)!! Like if you hate a certain ship so soo muchhh, please don't tag them and please censor their name when you're talking about them...

For example, if i hate zolu then i'd just type "z0lu", "zo7u", "z**u" or whatever (not that i have the time to talk about my notps cuz im busy gushing about my favorites) , and once again, please do not tag them!!

Like i get having notps, really... but we don't like seeing hate post about our favorite ship(s) right?? then it's only natural that we don't make one ourselves. Imagine scrolling through your favorite ship tag and then you see a post where someone is complaining about your favorite ship, personally that would turn my mood sour... Let's just be a decent human being. Don't forget to censor your notp's name when you are talking about them especially in the tags:)!!

Hey, I saw your post about NOTPS and I didn’t wanna answer on your twitter (since it’s nsfw and i prefer to stay away) but if i were to be honest, I would say Style.

It just feels wayyyy too platonic and lack-luster/boring for me, and they just feel like brothers (also Kyle hasn’t been treating Stan too well these past season)

Style is nothing but Style, all flair and no substance.

(Also because of the fact I have a kyman and stolkien bias)

That's totally fair. Even though I like style still, it's just so boring for me nowadays, BUT I will say Post Covid Style is MUCH more interesting because it actually has more substance.

And totally, a lot of people kinda saw/still see Style as mutual pining, but it's definitely more if not completely one-sided on Stan's side. Kyle has not been emotionally available for Stan in a LONG ass time and while "Cupid Ye" Stan really missed his SBF, Kyle, even at the end of the episode, didn't seem all that interested in hanging out like they used to, and there was no implication that he would go back to his SBF at all.

(With that being said, while I still kinda like Style, I'm definitely WAY more into Kyman and now Stolkien, soooo yeah, lols)

I just had this idea:

if you see fanchildren of your f/o with a canon character that makes you uncomfortable, you can imagine that this "fanchild" is actually a non-romantic Steven Universe-type fusion the characters had to form (if the characters normally hate each other, maybe it was dire circumstances forcing them to temporarily team up). You can also do this for fanchildren of your notps!

Okay so, marks weird mental shipping rules under the cut

I tend to ship in a very “my otp and then everyone else can do whatever the fuck they want” kind of way. I don’t have many boundaries for prior or past relationships either. In a way my Notp is…. Anyone with Lewis that isn’t George, or vice versa. I’m a one track minded kind of dude.

If pressed? I really don’t fuck with Max and either of them, unless it’s like, porny poly (yes I’ve read four in a bed, yes you all should too, it’s amazing). Otherwise the less I have to do with the guy the better. Fernando or Nico and Lewis can also just fuck right off. I rlly can’t stand fernando, and Nico? Look I get why people might cling to the bromance but Nico is such a cunt. Fuck Nico.

But honestly my Notp is Gewis not being endgame.

That sounds like a joke but it’s fuckin, it’s really not. If they don’t end up together, I’m not reading it. I’ve only read it twice and one time hurt bc I misread the tags and the other? It emotionally destroyed me, and left me with a bitter distaste for Galex and Sewis at the same time. I have absolutely no issues with those ships, and I fully get it, but the context of that fic made me feel very… extra judgemental, shall I say. The only crime those ships committed against me were not being the first F1 Rpf fic for Lewis I came across. Gewis got me first and I bunkered down fast.

I still think Seb and Alex are George and Lewis’ VERY close friends and nothing can stop that, I just shy away from any mentions of that romance and they’re currently the only ones I have filtered so I can choose what I see. I do think they fooled around tho. Redbull twink seb and fuck boy Lewis? Yeah they probably did some stuff while drunk off their ass and still laugh about it as older adults.

I have no opinions on Dando, bc I don’t rlly like Lando. I don’t dislike him as much as say, Max or Perez, but I don’t like his humour.

Cause this feels like a weird and unsatisfactory answer, I do have preference ships for OTHER drivers, I’m happy to trade them about like bikes but I def have faves including:

James V / Bono (it just works)

Danny Ric / Valtteri Bottas (+ Tiffany bc I’m a sucker for men with GF’s realising they are gay for their buds and getting to have both in healthy poly throuples)

Pierre / Charles (they’re both different, complimentary kinds of slutty)

Mick/Nicky/Este (any variation of, I just think they’re neat)

Alex/Lily

Yuki / getting out of the redbull driver program

If these groupings aren’t included in fic I can’t say I’d care much, but it’s what I default to when I need BG couples

Opinion:

I liked the film, “Mr. Peabody and Sherman.”

I don’t like how it tried to force a romance between Sherman and Penny. They could have just become friends (though even that was pushing it considering how quickly Penny was forgiven for being the one who bullied and got Sherman in trouble in the first place.)

Otherwise, the film is cute.

Hi! Sure do. Here are some, in no particular order:

Klaroline, never got it. I know they're a very popular ship but to me it seemed random, out of nowhere and definitely overrated. Klaus perusing Bonnie would've made a lot more sense, but we know why that didn't happen.

Beremy... Why, just why?!

On to Stelena, which is a bit double-sided. I definitely shipped them in the beginning, but after what Elena did to Stefan, I just couldn't get back on this ship. Stefan deserved better.

Steroline, also a bit double-sided. Really liked their friendship, and had the romance part been well developed, I'd be on board. But as it was done, it always felt like Caroline was a second choice, which made it feel awkward and unauthentic.

Some unpopular ones (or so I hope):

Calaric, really? That this idea wasn't immediately shut down in the writers room still baffles me to this day. But then again, so many others weren't either, don't know why I'm surprised.

Dalorine, for obvious reasons. I get they were trying to establish Damon as the villain and the season's big bad, but they could've done it without taking it there.

It's so frustrating when people don't tag relationships correctly on AO3.

Was reading a really interesting fic when one of my notps came out of nowhere. And it's not a background ship in this fic, it's one of the main ships.

And yes, I have that ship filtered out of my search results, but if people don't tag their fics correctly, it's not going to get filtered out!

I'd much rather a fic be over-tagged, than under-tagged. And I don't know if it's just an issue in this one particular fandom, or it's something weird with younger fic writers, but lately, I've been seeing more fics on AO3 with absolutely zero tags besides rating, the general relationships/pairings/orientations, and content warnings.

Okay so, I have two massive ones and then the rest just kinda squick me out.

I am not down for any kind of incest ships and I really, really don't like any ships where one part of the ship was a prepubescent while the other was an adult when they first met.

So that's a no to KakaSaku for example. It's a power imbalance that makes me uncomfortable as hell. No shade on people who like it, do your thing. But not for me.

I don't like ships where one person is a lot older than the other either, even if they were both adults when they met. Twenty years plus or something? No, not my bag. Do your thing though.

I'm also really not a fan of pairing people with people who've tried to kill them in the past, or would do so if given the chance. Akatsuki Member x Sakura for example knocks me sideways.

Speaking of people who tried to kill the person they're paired with ...

My two biggest nOTPs are SasuSaku and NaruSasu.

I can't stand either of them. They make me viscerally angry and they always, always have.

I have more time for NaruHina, which I actually think could have been really good if handled differently.

No, I will not explain how I would have done NaruHina differently lol.

But yeah, SasuSaku and NaruSasu. If you ask for headcanons about those ships you will at best get ignored and at worst ... you'll catch me on a bad day and I will decimate Sasuke Uchiha on the page.

And I'm trying not to do that anymore.
