I’m glad Mortal Kombat fans collectively came together to bully Megan Fox for her lack of any effort or emotion in her voice acting. I blame her, obviously, but I’m also just baffled by like, the people who were directing and recording her like. You’re just gonna call that done?

🧛 Slowly, Bram warm towards you. You don't seem bad. Besides, your emotions feel nice. Also, there is so much interesting in your world.

Was it the same situation, as with Dostoevsky, three years ago?

🃏 No. It was different. You aren't fake. You were real. Not only that, but you liked him for simply existing. You liked him as he is. No need to use his ability or do something for you.

🃏 Sigma would observe your messages. To make sure, that people won't try to scam you.

🃏 One time, on The Internet, you were discussing with other people what would you do, if you had a chance to see Sigma in real life. Sigma was disgusted by some responses. But then, he heard you.

"I would give him a cookie and ask for a hug".

Congrats, Sigma is now as red as a tomato.

🃏 Sigma will memorize everything about you. He doesn't want to lose you. Near you, he has a scene of purpose.

🃏 His purpose - be in your life. To make you feel happy.

Fyodor Dostoevsky smirked. Nikolai Gogol and Sigma were standing near him.

Fyodor has found the scammer. Found him and post all his personal information for everyone to see.

And put a special virus on their phone. The one, that will connect his phone to the portal. The scammer will be the perfect lab rat for a testing.

Bright light.

Scammer was laying there. Bleeding, but alive. Fyodor Dostoevsky smirked. The next second, Gogol's hand grasp scammer's head.

Little Light were floating above them, as always. And his Perfect Guiding Light will stay perfect and safe.

The next day, BSD gang find the body of a scammer. Fyodor, Nikolai and Sigma didn't hide, that it was their doing. That they have tested the portal and protected Their Guiding Light.

"Aren't you afraid, that 'Kamui' will be angry at you doing things without an order?" mocks Dazai, looking at Fukuchi.

Sigma was first.

"I was working for Kamui for three years. Never heard anything good from him. And Guiding Light were nice to me. They are more deserving of my loyalty."

Then Gogol.

"He promised me freedom. He lied. But Guiding Light is there. They are my freedom. They are more deserving of my loyalty."

And then, Dostoevsky.

"Kamui promised the world without sin. He failed. But Perfect Guiding Light already live in sinless world. They are more deserving of my loyalty."

Fukuchi Ouchi knew, that he has lost to you.

Redacted Headcanons cause I'm lonely ─

╴Lasko knows lots of coreos from kpop girl groups and can almost do a full kpop random dance

╴ The whole D.A.M.N crew is flabbergasted: Gavin enjoys the view, Freelancer is dancing next to Lasko, Huxley wants to learn too and Damien is embarrassed to admit that he DOES know some boy group coreos.

╴Gavin knows how to speak Spanish and can definitely throw it back/dance to reggae in a club.

╴ Freelancer paint as a hobby. Sometimes it's messy (paint allí over them) , other times they're happily painting under the sunlight and Gavin is watching them from the door like a hopeless romantic.

╴Gavin feeds on sexual desire of course but there are these soft moments when he can sense so much happiness inside of Freelancer that he feels a wave of energy crushing through him.

╴Avior feels whole when he sees Starlight doing something they like along with some fun music in the background. The positive emotions flowing out their body are like a full meal to him.

╴When Angel saw first handed how David genuinely laughed out loud at something they did, they knew. They were like: "yup, he's the one".

╴Despite David being a grumpy man, he wears a small necklace with a gem and small angel wings on each side, always. He doesn't care who sees it, you're his angel and you'll always be with him.

╴Everyone is jealous of David's eyelashes. He has the most gorgeous, long and natural eyelashes you could ever seen.

╴Everyone in the Shaw pack has at least one big scar from claws, whether it be from a wolf, a demon or a vampire. Where you ask? That's up to you.

╴Before the inversion and the aftershock, Vincent recorded Lovely throughout the game, back when they had their powers. They watch the entire recording when they're alone...it's a bittersweet memory.

╴Vincent and Lovely sometimes like to dress in those old vampire outfits and pretend they're enemies attending a ball just to fall in love again and again.

╴Lasko's anxiety is quickly diminished whenever you lay down with him and read some book out loud. Just the sound of your voice softly reading is enough to lull him to sleep.

╴Vega is capable of shredding someone to pieces if they dare to interrupt warden's/darling's sleep. If he even feels someone getting near to the bedroom door, his eyes are already glowing red and burning.

╴Tank/Darlin' poses in front of Sam just to brag and show off their muscles whenever they come from the gym. Much to Sam's surprise, they're able to carry him at least bridal style (he's blushing all over the place).

╴Sam, David and Vega have big titty privilege because I say so.

╴Milo and Asher had scared multiple and I say MULTIPLE times their partners and the pack in general just from them screaming at horror games/horror movies. The worst part is that the rest wasn't even paying attention to it.

╴If they met, Gavin and Vincent would do each other's eyeliner. Lovely and Deviant would enjoy the view, taking pictures and gossiping.

╴Milo learned pretty quickly how to make all types of knots. You know why.

idk how else to describe this like i think the kind of traditionalist/hyperliteral read of buffy not catching feelings for spike until late s5/s6 just misses the level of iron grip buffy keeps on her feelings. apropos of nothing other than seeing this read one too many times and im not up on my buffy meta scholarship so forgive me if im making the same points everyone and their mother has been making for the past two decades

keeping tight control over her feelings is not something buffy started doing after a certain point, it's a behavior she has coming into the pilot bc we see that at that point there's already a level of emotional distance between her and joyce (not only re the slayer stuff and the later retconned-in betrayal & invalidation trauma from being thrown in an institution when she tried to tell her parents the truth, but also for instance the intensity of buffy's distress over the divorce). she already has a home life consisting of not voicing most of her difficult and 'close to the chest' emotions. when she tries to be genuine in a way that asks for space for her frustration or anger or more 'selfish' feelings, this is often not met with understanding (worth mentioning that giles does a MUCH better job on this than joyce for the most part, but other characters including willow and xander respond poorly a substantial number of times). as a result she is well practiced at suppressing emotions that are too inconvenient or complicated to feel acceptable to verbalize, so she tends to just kind of whistle past things that feel hard to tackle until she reaches a point where she can no longer bear to ignore them. this is a core part of her canon characterization that is also visible at many points in buffy's relationship with angel (s3 comes to mind, when she spends a good chunk of the season operating under the convenient belief that they're in a functional platonic friendship when she subconsciously knows they are still too hung up on each other for that to be feasible). so like we know this is something buffy does. it is not at all unusual for her to feel things that she keeps beneath her conscious awareness + does not allow herself to process and admit to having felt until well after the fact.

this takes me to the oft cited point that from the first time she interacts with spike, there is a different vibe happening than is typical for buffy and vamps. it just feels very obvious to me that from basically minute one (or maybe more accurately from their first fight, when she isn't so much on the back foot) she registers him on some level as a person who happens to be really interesting and hot, but has a fairly easy time of it keeping this feeling out of her conscious awareness bc 1) he's also an unsouled vamp, meaning she can choose to dismiss his personhood as nonexistent and his personality as mere performance or game-playing (ie he is not a 'real' person, therefore the relationship need not be acknowledged as 'real' either – taken to extremes in s6 when she has to actively abuse him and continually reaffirm his lack of humanity and lack of worth in order to sustain the self-told belief that she doesnt see or experience his personhood and doesnt feel a human connection with him), 2) they're mortal enemies, 3) he likes to be really annoying on purpose + as a vampire also has a baseline level of generally acting like a bit of a creep, and 4) for much of their relationship she has other romantic objects on whom she can more acceptably focus her attention (insert reference to spuffy being a queer coded relationship here).

i think this state of noticing-slash-not-noticing persists from 2.03 through s3&4 and into season 5. by then she is so good at studiously ignoring how weird and flirtatious and intense their dynamic has always been that the revelation that spike is now acting very obviously like hes in love with her, to the extent that someone else could notice, takes her totally by surprise. getting more specific idk how else one could possibly explain how her ass was acting in something blue pre-spell, like i absolutely canNOT see buffy behaving like that around any other vamp literally ever. they were both being so unceasingly annoying with their creepy little flirty back and forth that both giles and willow were completely over it and just wanted them to shut up and stop paying so much attention to each other. ig the point im getting at is i think it's weird and dont get it when ppl seem to read buffy's character as if shes basically just saying the things she feels and vice versa rather than like regularly and even habitually lying to herself, bc i just don't think that's in line with the character that we're shown. buffy SAYS for a very long time that she doesnt care about spike and basically says and does everything possible to deny that she has any attachment to him at all, but frankly i think the level of aggression and frequency with which she expresses variations on that sentiment in and of itself gives the lie to that idea. anyways i think she was down bad pretty much immediately and just took a very long time to let herself notice

Summary:

The murder of Lisa never happened. Instead, sometime in the future there is strife in the vampire world with an alliance of rebelling war chiefs over territory and Dracula is forced to respond. Reader character is an apprentice learning the doctor trade under Lisa, and a friend of her son.

I.

Wallachia, 1485

“Faster!” comes the sudden strike, the wooden staff colliding with your shoulder.

“That hurt!” you hiss, ducking your head as a flash of gold gains on you.

“Well for god’s sake, move your feet!” Adrian snaps, falling upon you with frightful ease.

You retreat, movements slower, your legs fumbling. “You... you’re awful...” you pant, “This is too much, even for an average recruit!” you barely parry before being flung aside by another vicious strike.

You gasp as he’s upon you again, leaving you struggling to regain your balance. “I do not train you to be average,” Adrian throws in the tone he only ever uses with the other soldiers. “I train you to stay alive,” he kicks your legs from under you before you can preempt him.

You swear, cry out and grab at his shoulder; a surprised son of Dracula crumbles together with you in a heap to the ground.

Your faces come to be so close you can see the hint of swirling lights in his eyes. “That was unfair,” you whisper, breathless.

“Who ever said war is fair? Do you think the enemy will care for your codes of honor?” Adrian asks, unaffected by the effort—he’s not even flushed—his forearms propped on either side of your head. “Now pay attention and stop wasting my time, else you find someone else to teach you.”

He’s mainly like this, nowadays. Morose, at times even scowling, having little to no patience. His words scald often, and this change came and stayed with him for a while now. When Adrian tries to rise, however, your thighs turn into a vice around him; a sudden shift of unexpected strength, and then you’re sitting atop him, pressing him into the earth.

You grin, holding him down, finding some familiarity in it. You’d slept beneath cold skies back to back, huddled against each other for warmth before; you knew him in a physical way, one demanded of practicality. When you lean closer to his face, you see ice and even distaste, and stupid words gurgle in your throat. “I do pay attention, more than you think,” you say with a hint of satisfaction, which soon fades at the look he’s giving you.

“Rise to your feet, please.”

“I listen. I hear your words, harsh when once they’d been kind. I feel this wall you’re raising higher and I don’t understand why. I’m not your enemy. I’m...” your voice fails when his eyes narrow. “I’m your friend. Come back.” You watch his face, the shape of the mouth you know, down to every detail.

“I am right here, to my dismay. Now rise, don’t make me ask again.” But he does not do so himself, possibly giving you the choice of dignity.

“Tell me why you do it. Why you’re so dismissive, why you seem to make yourself scarce whenever we’re in the same room for long.” Why he acts like this task is something he loathes, even though he was the one who offered to include you in his daily routine when you’d made your wish to train known. You sound wanton in your demand now, you know, but he near always pushes you to the end of your tether lately. Today had been another rushed, supremely uncomfortable sword fighting lesson besides. Why are you like this? The words bite into your tongue, but you dare not ask them, afraid of what they might bring; you don’t want to fight him, not now.

Before, when Adrian welcomed you to stay for the friendship you had, he was open in manner and kind; but lately there is no reprieve, and you sense the tension in him as though it were a living thing. It turns him into a merciless trainer and hard to please—it also makes him ten times more infuriating to be around.

Adrian gazes up at you, inert, but the tension in you seems to bleed into his own body. “I do it for you,” he answers late, his voice gentler like a bleak reminder of before. “I do all of it for you.”

“I should be grateful, then?” you mutter into his shuttering stare. “For this?”

A softness to his eyes, a clench to his jaw; you feel compelled to do something you have not the courage to.

“Move.”

Defeated, you nod and rise, quietly regaining yourself as Adrian comes to his feet. You retrieve your staff, back turned to him. “I think I’ve had enough for today.”

You start when your weapon is roughly pried from your hand. “As you wish,” Adrian says. The hardness in his voice makes you flinch, like talons leaving raw and festering places in their wake.

As you turn, he’s already leaving the practice yard with rushed steps. You fall limply against a tree trunk, covering your face with your filthy gloved hands, wanting more than anything to be free of this.

Having reached the armory, you wipe your sweaty brow with your hand, then attempt fluid movement. The leather practice armor you’re using until a better suited one is ready hinders your motions. You blow a stray wisp of hair out of your face, yet panting from exertion. It has to be done; it has to be done. 

You attempt to undo the fastenings and utterly fail, resenting having to train in full battle gear, but one tireless tutor insists this is the way. With a huff and a pull, your attempts cease. 

A heavy hand is on your shoulder; heavier than it used to be. It urges you to turn.

“You slouch,” come the soft words. Deft fingers aid you out of the constraint posed by the armor and you go still, throwing the speaker a brief, scathing look he cannot see, focused as he is on his task. 

“I try,” you say.

“I need more focus, mere blinks of moments matter here,” Adrian says without looking at you.

Before you reply, he finishes and turns away, arms raised and hands pulling at the tie in his hair.

His aloofness is even more biting than usual; has something happened? You’ll need to speak to him, because you can't help but feel somehow... you can't define it exactly. A heaviness, a weariness over your heart as it beats. You can't but feel he's being unfair.

This familiarity in your concern, though natural now, has taken long to develop. The two of you crossed paths once, had bled to stay alive and became close along the way through a string of unbelievable though unavoidable events. You still laugh at the absurdity of it sometimes: meeting and befriending the son of Vlad Dracula Tepes, meeting Lisa his mother and becoming her aid after Adrian offered for you to stay until you found your bearings. You, finding Dracula with a family of all things.

Having nowhere else to go, you stayed, of course you stayed. This was a household, the semblance of a strong-knit family, or at least—for you—the proximity to one. And if you were being bluntly honest with yourself, you starved for this: a purpose, a goal. It led you to accept the schooling suggestions from Lisa Tepes. It had you deciding to train in arms so you could defend yourself if need be. And you, well… you were apprentice to his mother now, learning her trade, living here, eating and walking and seeing him—though thankfully (or painfully), less and less lately as the days pass.

You stare out the window, to the shadow lengthening across the trees and the horizon, over a scattered front where white smoke billows eerily into the air against the violently bruised sky of evening. Beneath it, two factions will inevitably clash. You shudder, chewing the inside of your cheek. “How stupid. I should learn to save lives, not take them,” you murmur, placing your gloves on a rack in the training hall. 

“Remember, these are vampires. And you may end this, it was your wish afterall,” Adrian looks over his shoulder at you.

“I know.” You turn from him, rummaging in your own things, hiding the flash of pain on your face. “But I have to learn.”

All is prepared, and you overheard the others speaking of it at the recent council. They would start at the following evefall to be stationed along camp lines across the valley. You turn your head left and right, roll your shoulders, grimacing at the stiffness in your upper body.

“Here,” Adrian says, approaching and presenting you with a vial containing a clear liquid.

“What is it?” you reach and take it from his hand. 

Adrian walks away and takes a seat at one of the long tables laden with pieces of armor and weaponry. He rolls the sleeves of his crinkled shirt up to his elbows and reaches for a whetstone, then his sword. His golden flecked stare turns on you, briefly. Cold light creeps through narrow glass windows, finding him. “A salve, did Mother not get to those yet? Use it on your muscles in the evening.”

You swallow. “No, not yet. When are you leaving?” 

He lowers his eyes as a metallic sound scrapes away the silence, and you watch him whet the sword placed horizontally in his lap. “Tomorrow.” Another wail of the stone, like glassy cries of pain.

Of course, you knew; merely wanted to hear him say it. You near as Adrian works, continuing to sharpen and wipe the blade with a cloth in turns. “Are you afraid? Are you well? I know you were reluctant to join this, I—” But it was he who said that in wisdom, we too know fear. It keeps one alive, it keeps one fighting.

“I'm well,” Adrian cuts in. The answer is impassive, his eyes averted from yours, set on the motion of his hand.

His stilted replies leave no room for doubt—the wall is up and you’re more than eager to get out of here. You sling the bag with belongings over one shoulder. “Good eve, Adrian,” you say. “Actually rest, you’ll need it.” And without lingering, you turn, leaving him behind with as much dignity as you should possess.

#5 Juuzou Suzuya

This boy needs a hug. A really big and warm hug.

By the way, the important question is does Juuzou count as an albino? I only realized it while writing this.

But to the point. I really like Juuzou's backstory and how his "madness and murderousness" are given reasons. Juuzou is just a good character who has experienced hell. Just the kind of character who does "bad" things but who you still want to succeed. Also, he has a really good voice actor.

Juuzou's character is just well executed. And now I know I'm not the only one who likes to poke holes in them skin with a needle.

#4 Kanato Sakamaki

Kanato is just really relatable. And I don't mean that I carry a teddy bear with me inside which I keep my mother's ashes. I mean asperger traits that Kanato clearly has.

I think these fit the Kanato character well. He doesn't understand sarcasm, is obsessively interested in his "dolls", Not really good at showing empathy or controlling his emotions, can't stand touch and assumes others think the worst of him.

And no, I'm not going to start diagnosing Kanato now. I'm just saying that he has many traits that an Asperger person can identify with.

#3 DOUMA

Ladies, Gentlemen and others Douma is here and he is really hot.

Werty has been a Douma simp since 2020.

Yes Douma Finally made it to this list. I have always liked Douma.

His backstory and character is just really well done. Douma has always been something that interests me. Even at the beginning, when I really hated his desing and eyebrows. But no matter what I did, I always ended up reading Douma fanfiction. I could start watching Hentai and then after half an hour I found myself reading Douma yandere writings. I still don't understand how it happened. I just really love him.

# 2 Leviathan

I remember at first I hated him too. "Once again someone is making fun of us anime/manga enthusiasts" I thought.

But the more I played the game, the more relatable Leviathan's character felt. I actually didn't even know what an Otaku was until I met him.

Leviathan also has autistic traits and is one of my comfort characters. I have never identified with any character so much. He is also funny and his voice actor does a good job.

I have been an Azusa simp since 2018 or 2019.

And let's be clear right away that I like Azusa 100,00 times more than Leviathan. So there's really no competition for the number one spot. The day I say I love a some character more than Azusa I've lost my mind.

I love his personality, his backstory, how he really gets a lot of development throughout the game, and how masochistic he can be in creative ways. Also, the fact that Azusa thinks pain is love is really sweet.

His voice actor does a really good job and I can even listen to the English dub without internal bleeding.

A continuation of this post. More reverse isekai yandere Seraph of the End shenanigans, but with the vampires this time ❤️

SPOILERS AHEAD❗

If you thought things got spicy with the humans, get ready for these guys, goodness where do I start?

Your first encounter with the vampires is probably going to be a messy one and they'll all be separated into their own little groups. I imagine you meet Ferid and Crowley first, Krul is by her lonesome and then you have Rigr, Lest, Ky and Urd all meshed together in a group, along with probably some other vampires such as Lacus and Rene.

❤️ FERID BATHORY - He's a MENACE but he's also really freaking helpful, actually?? Ferid and Crowley were actually smart and went into hiding, unlike the others who ended up causing a ruckus but I digress. Ferid finds you incredibly fascinating and is intrigued by the fact that you know so much about everybody and what went down in their lives these past few years. He's probably one of the first people to actually believe you that you actually did see them as fictional characters at first, for the sheer lunacy of it if anything. Remember in my last post about this how I said how you are looking for a way to help Mika? Thanks to Ferid's snooping you discover that magic does indeed exist in your world too and that you will be able to change the vampires back into humans! It's a long ritual though and it's a ritual that Ferid is fully supportive of. He even promises to get the others involved in this, one way or the other, even if he has to trick them. He's a crafty bastard, he'll manage.

Ferid tails you like a shadow, he always pops up at the most random of places and he may or may not creep your friends and family out. God forbid someone asks you if you're dating him, he'll go bonkers immediately, even if he is just playing around. You're an amazing source of entertainment for him, he can't remember the last time he felt so alive....

The ritual must be working.

His emotions are coming back to him, and it's so refreshing. For decades now all he wanted was to feel something and you allowed him that luxury. His powers are amazing but you're more precious to him, he's even a little embarrassed with how lovestruck he is with you. He is still Ferid after all and he knows no shame - he will be a handful to deal with, that's all I can say.

Make sure to enjoy the rare moments of tenderness he provides though. It's surprisingly serene to see him so peaceful.

❤️ CROWLEY EUSFORD - He's opposed to the idea of being a human at first but he's quick to come around and starts to see the bright side of things. Due to his looks he probably ends up attracting a lot of people, you even had to smack your friends across their heads in order for them to stop ogling him like that.

Ah, that angry face you make is so cute... Crowley feels so soft when he's with you, you're so tiny and cute in his eyes. Your height or weight does not matter to him, you're literally so precious and cute to him. You know how humans react when they see something cute they feel the need to just grab and squish it, even if they risk getting too aggressive in the process? That's how Crowley feels about you!

He's also the voice of reason whenever you and Ferid are fighting, he always knows what to say. He's so good at comforting you. You tell him this and he feels... Giddy. It's pathetic of him but he does take care of you, he always says good morning and good night to you, he may or may not even watch you when you sleep.

...Ferid joins in too. They really don't have much to do these days, even while you're resting you are still amusing to them.

❤️ KRUL TEPES - Poor queenie, all alone until you catch her feeding on some poor soul in some dark alley. Krul would prefer to keep a low profile but there's a good chance she killed a few people already because, you know, girl's gotta eat... Krul doesn't believe a word you say to her and demands that you tell her the truth. She even got super close to killing you, that's how riled up she is!! As a peace offer you give her your blood and she thoroughly enjoys her meal, to say the very least. It takes her a while but she starts getting used to your company, you being her comfortable clothes and you go on super long walks with her. She can unwind a little, and your presence is... tolerable. You're not as bad as the other humans at the very least.

She becomes very protective of you later on. She and Lest bumb heads several times because of this.

She accepts becoming a human begrudgingly. It's just something that needs to be done

❤️ LEST KARR - Put him in his place, I'm begging you. Arrogant bastard doesn't know what to do, he's so lost, someone help him. He keeps switching from utter confusion to pure anger like it's nothing, Ferid and Rigr find it funny. He finds you annoying, how dare you tell him what to do?! He's super antagonistic to you at first, but all of that comes crashing down once he gets the opportunity to taste your blood...

... he's hooked.

Lest can't recall when was the last time he tasted such hot, delicious blood. He leans a bit onto the tsundere scale but once he spots you he's really hard to get rid of. Lest always belittles you and throws snarky comments at you, but he's just shielding himself.

Hates the idea of turning into a human. He doesn't want to be weak. Also, his heart will start beating again... Which means that he will literally burn for you if that happens, gross....

He also curses the fact that he is stuck in the body of a child. That makes things a lot more complicated than it should.

...he also draws you. A lot. I'm talking like a full-blown sketch book filled with you and old fashioned clothes he thinks would look nice on you. He would rather die than to show these to anyone though!

❤️ URD GEALES - Acts like the perfect gentleman but probably scares you a few times by accident. Also doesn't want to be human, but haha joke's on him.... ANYWAY, he's easy to talk to but he always sends someone to tail you, probably Lacus and Rene, ugh. They tell him everything you do, Urd is so suspicious of everything and everyone but in his defense he has the right to be. Not much to say about him other than he may or may not bring this world to ruin because of his sheer strength alone.

He scares you, which actually makes him a little sad. He really does enjoy your company....

❤️ SAITO/ RIGR STAFFORD - You never call him Saito, never ever, even if he does insist you do so. He doesn't do much other than watch everything from the sidelines, he is in unfamiliar territory after all... Do make sure to keep an eye on his though, he's crafty bastard #2.

I hope she feels good where she is now."

Pet Paper and pet lib magazine covers

So, I made a cover for @octopus-reactivated's Pet Paper. It's a double magazine – one side is for owners, and then you flip the magazine over for the side aimed at pets.

And then it got me thinking about Pet Lib advertising. I imagine they'd drop these magazines off in public, like at train stations and stuff (and in countries where Pets are illegal) – no contact details or anything, just to spread the word about WRU and the Pet industry. The WRU would attempt to suppress it but you can never get rid of these things entirely.

Prompt

Whumpee who escapes and returns to their team. They're happy to be back, hopeful for a good reunion, but their team doesn't react how they'd expect. Instead of a good reaction, the team immediately assumes Whumpee has betrayed them and beats them up, or hurts them in some other way.

Maybe information's gotten out while Whumpee was kidnapped. Maybe Whumpee has no scars or proof. Maybe Whumpee disappeared with no trace, or Whumper went to great lengths to make it look like they left of their own accord. Whatever the reason their team doesn't believe them when they say they're not a traitor.

So Whumpee escapes again, heavily injured, and ends up with Caretaker.

After a few months/years/whatever, their old teammates find out that they're not a traitor. Whether it's someone else or an accidental leak, they now need Whumpee for some reason. So they find them, and approach them to ask for their help, all apologetic (could be fake apologetic though). Caretaker's with Whumpee at the time.

From here, there's two options.

Whumpee considers their proposal, but Caretaker gets angry at the team. "You assumed Whumpee was a traitor, hurt them, without even considering that they might be innocent? They were on your team for years and you nearly killed them without even listening! Do you know what state they were in when they got to me? Do you know what happened while they were missing? No, you don't, because you just assumed they betrayed you without even checking!" etc

Whumpee gets angry. Caretaker obviously wouldn't be happy, but Whumpee... they're betrayed and angry and only now does their team think to check if they're actually a traitor? Only when they're needed does their team apologise? So Whumpee lays into them, shouting about how they trusted their team and thought they could finally relax, maybe they talk about their torture for the first time (or just the first time outside Caretaker). Perhaps their voice cracks at a point where they get very emotional. They thought they were safe, going home, and then they were beaten again. Maybe Whumper told them their team didn't care and they didn't believe them and then they were right.

Whichever option, the confrontation ends with the team being told to fuck off.

Vampire prompt

Human Whumpee is ill or injured with something that would've been fatal hundreds of years ago. Vampire Whumpee-turned-Caretaker, who hasn't been outside much in that time, doesn't realise that medicine's moved on enough to cure them.

Of course, they panic. They love Whumpee (whether platonically or romantically doesn't matter) and they're going to lose them! They can't lose them!

So Caretaker turns Whumpee. And they feel guilty, of course they do, for turning them into a creature that has to drink blood and can't die. But at least they're not dead, they console themself with. If Whumpee's angry at them for turning them without permission, at least they're alive to do so.

And then, when Whumpee recovers, they explain that, actually, they would've survived what happened. Medicine's far more advanced than it was the last time you checked, Caretaker.

And oh, the guilt then, as Whumpee struggles to adapt. Caretaker didn't have to turn them, they violated them. And now... Whumpee seems to be forgiving them? I mean it's fractious and that but they seem to have. Although Caretaker's pretty convinced that that's just because they're the only other vampire Whumpee knows, the only person who can help them adapt.

But are they even a person, if they'll do that to their best friend/lover/etc?

Royalty Whump Prompt

A young Prince/Princess Whumpee is captured and held to ransom by an enemy king. When their family won't pay the ransom, they're left in the dungeons to rot – maybe a finger's cut off, if Whumper wants to pretend to the family that Whumpee's dead.

Years later, soldiers from Whumpee's kingdom invade the castle they're being held in and rescue them. The soldiers aren't expecting to find a mute, traumatised, starving prisoner in the dungeons but they're not going to leave them there.

Nobody recognises Whumpee, but Whumpee recognises the crest, and maybe some of the older soldiers. And they definitely recognise their parents, the king and queen, when they return to the soldiers' home kingdom with them.

Their parents don't recognise them, though. And they don't even mention them during the victory speech about the evils of Whumper's kingdom they've taken over, which – Whumpee thought they might at least mention their name, y'know? Since Whumper kidnapped the oldest heir (king and queen had two children, although the younger was a baby when Whumpee was taken – maybe they have two again now, and Whumpee sees the newer kid as kind of a replacement).

Caretaker soldier tries to look after them, but it's clear something's wrong. What happens when they find out who Whumpee is? And how does Whumpee feel, having been pretty much erased from the kingdom?

Game ideas for whumpers, whumpees, and unsuspecting caretakers

CWs: Drinking games, brief mention of forced self-harm

Never Have I Ever. A group of Whumpers get together and talk about how they've whumped people. Alternatively, a group of Whumpees/former Whumpees drink about how they've been whumped (nevermind a group of Whumpees, even with only one this is also a great way for an unsuspecting Caretaker/Friend to find out about whump – "oh no-one will get this one, never have I ever been kidnapped– wtf Whumpee" as they chug their drink)

Strip poker, except each Whumper brings a Whumpee and they're the one who loses clothing. Potential for a non-competitive Whumper to lose on purpose to show off Whumpee.

Watch Whumpee through a camera in their cell and take a shot every time they scream etc.

Truth or Dare. On Whumper's turn, dare them to do something horrible to their Whumpee. On Whumpee's turn, force them to reveal a humiliating secret or dare them to do something to themself or another Whumpee. Or serve Whumper in some way. Really bad forfeits.

Russian Roulette. For obvious reasons.

Using your Whumpee as a bet in a card game.

Two Truths and a Lie. A good one for an unsuspecting Friend/Caretaker and a Whumpee who doesn't realise what they've gone through is wrong.

Bingo. Multiple Whumpers again. Instead of numbers, it's methods of whumping that they've used. Do they need proof that they've done all these things (with showing Whumpee's body or photos or whatever) or not?

Twister. Forcing Whumpee to hold positions, harsh punishments if they fall. Great for stress positions!

I'm sure there's more. But I can't think of any rn.

In case my blog isn't obvious enough, I seriously can't get enough of vampires and Vincent has been my favourite character since the first video came out so this is a hard choice. you really liked this character in that show but your brain for some reason won't take the actual character. oh no it has to make its own person that is an exact mirror of that character! but it wont tell you! you have to forget all about that character until 10 years later when the alter realizes it but they're so different now you don't actually know but it probably shaped you in some way

had a slut phase on discord and the fake personality 2 of the alters used online turned into her own person

You haven't met the alter that you know exists because you asked for them to exist at the same time you heard your father cry for the first time at 27 when you all Lost a creature who the whole system considered their daughter.

people just form when the brain decides it's a good idea for us. it's been awhile since we've had a new fully fleshed out alter who has the energy and desire to be out/slots into the main group that takes care of most things. when new ones form these days (like 2.3 every 4 years) it's "quieter" people that pop up, introduce themselves, and then chill in mindspace with the rest and we don't really hear from them much.

Last we counted we have about 50 people (we counted a long time ago i'll be honest), but on a daily basis only about 3-5 people are active and it's not always through the whole day. at least 2-3 are always active. Siruss is the only one who can solo we dunno why.

our usual routine someone will be out and they'll have a co-fronter and or a couple background buddy(ies), and then the co-fronter and background people change after a week to a month, it depends on who it is. sometimes one of the background or co-fronters will swap out and be the main one for however long they can manage (depends on who it is)

but if we're leaving the house and around other people the routine is totally subject to change.

After Suho and Taeyong's serious talk, taeyong decided to warn Mark about what was actually happening and tell him about the interpretation of his unnormal visions about the girl he's eager to meet.

after taeyong's confusing explanation, Mark felt like his head would split into two from all the illogical pieces of information. and to say that he wasn't scared and slightly shocked would be an understatement, not only because he was seeing Samantha Mikaelson, the Original hybrid and Klaus's twin sister in his dreams and his every waking moment, but because of the reason why.

At first, He refused to believe them firmly and called it a bluff. however, when suho showed him a piece of his memory of Samantha and one of his mortal shadow selves together in what seemed like ancient Italy, he felt his whole world closed up on him.

later that day, he kept himself composed and showed no extreme reactions about the matter after what Suho showed him or informed him. nevertheless, the information about Samantha's willingness to kill those who took the Salvatores' brothers made them postpone their conversation about the odd, startling discovery and gather the rest, and head to their home in hopes of protecting their friends from whatever Samantha might do to them.

parking the car next to Johnny's, Jaehyun was the first to get out and whooshed into the destroyed house, stepping over the shattered glass and the scattered wooden pickets. Taeyong clenched his jaw at the unfolding scene. 

"Taeil...he's really not here," Haechan stated warily. and from the puzzlement look the rest shared, they're clueless about the relationship that he had with her or the reason why she'd take him.

"what do you mean he's not here? where he'd go?" jaehyun asked.

"She took him."

they all lifted their heads to meet Johnny, who was ascending the stairs with Yuta and Doyoung, the two with ripped and splattered blood clothes. "oh, god, what happened to you?" jungwoo gasped and rushed to them. 

"Samantha Mikaelson." Yuta stated darkly. Mark patted his back as his bottled emotion scratched the surface.

"We need to talk," Doyoung stated sternly.

"you're kidding. tell me you're kidding. I know you're kidding. stop kidding, it's ain't funny. seriously? no, no, no, this can't be." everyone sighed and looked at haechan, who had his hands on his hips with an irritated glare. "first, her weird, psychic connection with my brother now her beef with Taeil?" he scoffed. clicking his tongue, he ran a hand through his hair "If what doyoung said is true, he must be dead by now, right? what proves to us that she didn't kill him already? that he's still alive?"

haechan voiced out the reality that everyone has been silently denying; Samantha had already killed him. Each one in the room had thought about it but quickly shook it off, pushing it far inside their minds.

only johnny and doyoung were aware of taeil's dark secret and the past he shared with the hybrid. with the latter explaining what he did to her, they now became certain that the only reason she came to town is tearing his head off his body and there is no reason for her not to do it.

"nothing. but what if she didn't kill him and she's just torturing him? if we act up fast, we might get to him before she kills him." yuta scoffed loudly, "We closed the door in her face, and as a punishment, she pierced us with stakes like JESUS TO THE FUCKING WALL! I wonder what she'll do to someone who locked her in a box for hundred years!?" his sarcastic tone turned into a shout at the end as his nostrils flared with anger.

narrowing his eyes at jaehyun, the latter gave him a broken look. as if he was telling him to hold on to the silver lining their holding onto.

"Suho said we have the only thing that Samantha cares about more than her whole damned life, a wild card that can help us." taeyong called, catching their attention. turning on his heel, he flashed a knowing look in Mark's direction. the latter caught the hint and shot up from his sitting position.

"oh, no, no, no, not a chance," he chanted with a shake of his head, "I don't want to be a sniff-close to her," crossing his arms on his chest, he shook his head 'no'.

"Funny how this morning you were whining like a little bitch wanting to meet her," jaehyun bite back, earning a dirty glare from the blue-haired.

Johnny stepped in between when Mark stepped closer toward jaehyun, who, too, didn't hesitate to stand his ground and stood up, his chest buffed and fists clenched by his sides. 

"If you're our only hope in getting taeil back, then you must cooperate with us. Mark, the person we're talking about is our friend! a family! And we don't turn our backs on family." Johnny said, tapping his shoulder with a silent plea.

"last day I was a vampire now I'm a doppelgänger of an original vampire's soulmate, Samantha Mikaelson to make it better. the girl is Klaus's female version! what do you want me to do? go there woo her and... I don't know... flirt with her then ask her to hand back Taeil, Who hurt her and stole a century from her?! Are you crazy?"

"like a wise man once said: activate your sexy. sure she'll give in."

shooting his brother a glare, he sighed in surrender, "Yeah, screw it! what's the plan?"

Doyoung and Taeyong grinned mischievously. portraying two crazy scientists itching to do a mad crazy experiment, "alright then," doyoung clasped his hands, "here's what you're going to do."

"Man, I'm exhausted," yangyang whined and crashed his body on the couch, "I can't feel my toes—"

interrupting his nagging, xiaojun pushed him to the side"—bitch, scoot over, I feel like dying", yangyang groaned and stretched his long legs, occupying the couch all for himself. 

"go sit on Hendry's lap or something, I want some space!" Hendry scoffed and xiaojun gasped, "Ew, what the fuck," turning on his heel, Hendry arched his brows, "Come again, sir?" 

the three started squabbling non-stop like old people arguing over the economy. soon, their dilemma ended when Lucas threw his huge, heavy body on top of theirs' causing them to choke and squeeze themselves away.

when the front door opened, the four werewolves in the living room winced at the sharp shriek that cut through the air. "THAT'S NOT TRUE! DAEGAL WOULD NEVER!" the light pink-haired male winced at his high-pitched voice, shaking his head, he fished his phone out. "look, I recorded it. there's no need for denying it."

"Chenle, next time...warn us before you make an entrance," Xiaojun threatened. the orange-haired male scoffed and rolled his eyes at him, shamelessly. "did he—did he roll his eyes at me?!" the blond male asked, highly offended. "yes, yes I did. whatcha gonna do about it?" Chenle teasingly smirked at him.

the rest laughed at their friend whose eyebrows started to twitch up and down from anger. and boy, he was pissed as hell. Jisung sneaked his phone out, ready to record his best friend getting his ass whipped. 

the smirk on chenle's face started to fade once he saw xiaojun making his way toward him in slow motion. "Woah there buddy...let us not act stupid," chenle stood up and start walking backward, his eyes not leaving Xiaojun. the latter was eyeing him as a predator ready to jump on his prey. 

once chenle spotted xiaojun's smirk he made his way to the stairs, screaming for dear life. "KUN! KUN! HE'S GOING TO EAT ME!" when xiaojun grabbed him from his sweater's collar, the younger yelped, " GET THE FUCK OFF ME YOU DOG LOOK LIKE A DINOSAUR!"

Both Jisung and Yangyang rushed to the hall with their phones filming the scene, laughing out loud, chasing the two upstairs, and the wheeze that Hendry let when xiaojun tripped on the stairs made Ten drop the plate he was holding. now all of them were running away from the raging pocket-sized man.

they know Ten has a soft spot for yangyang and he can save them from the wrath of the angry mom by acting cute to distract him, but with Ten holding a knife, yangyang rethought it and chose not to risk it.

Ignoring the shouts and the crime that was about to happen upstairs, shaking his head, Kun let a sigh as he tasted the food he was preparing. "hm, needs some pepper." he mumbled to himself, unfazed by the shrill scream that he was positive was Lucas's.

seeing winwin walk to the kitchen holding his car key in hand, kun perked up "Oh! winwin, can you come and taste this for me?" the brown-haired hummed and bent down allowing him to lift the spoon close enough to his mouth, blowing on it, he slurped it and let out a hum and a thumb up, "it's good."

kun smiled and went to finish cooking while winwin sat on a stool and unzipped his jacket, after minutes of silence, the brown-haired male sighed "You know...this morning..." winwin trailed off, hearing kun hum, beckoning him to speak. taking a deep breath, winwin looked at kun who's back was facing him. 

"that girl I danced with, I think she's a werewolf." putting his spoon down, the black-haired turned to him, "what?" he asked with knitted brows.

"Look, I don't know but... when I was with her, my inner alpha relaxed around her, as if she was an old friend. it was like...uh... there was some sort of bond between us. you know what I mean!" he messed his hair, frustrated. 

"Yeah, well, I guess... I know there aren't many female werewolves around so the feeling to be close to one would be different; especially since the last time was—" kun pressed his lips shut when he realized what he was about to say.

"since Yuzho died. yeah, no need to be cautious about it. what happened happened. I'm okay, it's been a year, kun." he let a defeated sigh before pushing himself off the stool. 

"car accident." winwin scoffed bitterly, "anyone with eyes would see the bites on her neck. A vampire attacked her. and when I find out who, I'll make them pay for it. in blood," he adds darkly before grabbing his jacket and left the house. kun let out a deep sigh and pressed his hands on the kitchen island. 

"IN THE NAME OF CHUCKY! I COMMAND YOU TO BACK AWAY!" rubbing his face, he went upstairs to save his children from the serial killer. "TEN, STOP IT OR I WILL FEED YOU PINEAPPLES WHEN YOU'RE SLEEPING!" hearing Ten's loud gasp, he sighed shaking his head. "a bunch of airheads."

two days had passed, and Jeno started to warm up to the hybrid as he magically stopped fearing her. getting to know her, he figured out that she can be just like any normal, moody teenager if you ignored her indomitable strength, fangs, and claws.

poking over her shoulder, he took a sneak-peak at the book she had been reading for a whole day and night. groaning, he dropped his chin on her shoulder with a pout. "I'm bored," he whined in her ear. his husky deep voice made her flinch and snap her head at him.

feeling their noses brush, he blushed and pulled back. closing the book and putting it to the side, and placing Wes down on the floor after he was sleeping on her lap, she gave him her undivided attention. "and what's there you want to do?" she asked calmly, ignoring the voice of his thumping heart. 

taking a deep breath, he stood straight and looked her straight in the eyes. "I've been locked in here for days, I feel suffocated." arching a brow, she placed one leg over the other. "you do realize if it wasn't for your handsome face you'd be still locked up in a dark, wet, and cold cell. right?" 

taking another deep breath, he swallowed the forming lump in the back of his throat and stepped closer to her. her intimidated gaze never fails to make his tummy churn. an idea popped into his head, a new one that he never saw himself doing in his life; activating his cuteness.

mustering up some bravery, he brushed her knee with his fingers and made her undo her crossed legs before sitting on her lap and slipping his hands around her waist, giving it a light squeeze, he pouted.

chuckling at his cute expression, she rested her hands on his chest. "I want to go out— before you say no, hear me out!" closing her mouth, she nodded at him.

"I will wear a face mask so none would recognize me and you can come with me to make sure nothing wrong would happen." her furrowed brows shot up when his hands slid under her shirt and squeezed the flesh of her waist. letting a gasp, she glared at him momentarily before chuckling when he pecked her nose and flashed her his infamous eye smile.

running her hands up and down his chest, feeling his ripped torso under her touch and the heat that started radiating from him as his face turned red. she smirked and leaned in closer to him, her chest poking out from the low v-line shirt she wearing. "is this you asking me out on a date?"

gulping at the sight of her sexy cleavage. he nodded, hair bouncing. "y-yeah." he stuttered out and pulled her shirt up in hopes of covering her. chuckling, Samantha laid back into the chair with her hands on his thighs, a small smile adorning her pink lips.

hearing the front door open and Matilda's faint 'you can come in', both Samantha and Jeno looked to their right. seeing Baekhyun standing awkwardly in the grand hall anticipating whether to walk down the three steps into the grand room or get back from where he came from.

"Am I interrupting something?" taking a few seconds to register his words. they realized their position. pulling his hands from away, Jeno stood straight with a red hue dusting his cheeks and sat next to her on the couch.

straightening her shirt from any wrinkles, she cleared her throat and pushed her hair off her face. "what is it, baekhyun? you seem stressed." breathing in and out, the dark blue-haired vampire stood in front of her with a tensed body.

"I need to tell you something."

It was often her daughters teased you, complaining about how they couldn’t stand to hear the beat of your heart. But, their mother had explicitly forbidden them from touching you. Though, you did not feel unsafe around them and had grown to trust and like each of them. But, their words tended to hurt whenever they referred to you as their mother’s play-thing. It was as if there was a timer on your life and it wouldn’t be long till Alcina grew bored of your presence and decided it was your time to join the dead.

“The day has come and gone and you have yet to leave our bedroom,” the regal voice belonging to Alcina echoed throughout the room, startling you at your spot in the window sill. She stood tall with her golden eyes watching your every move, making you hold your breath as you waited for her to speak. With long strides, she quickly reached the window as she looked down at you with an unreadable expression. Regardless of your height, you always dwarfed in comparison to her as she stood taller than most she came across. But, she looked even taller whilst you sat. She leaned down, placing a gentle kiss against your lips. When she pulled back, her gaze met yours. “Has something happened?”

“No,” the word quickly left your lips as your felt your cheeks burn at the sudden closeness. Her scent of her old vintage lavender perfume with hints of blood filled your nose ━━ the old mixture had become a comfort for you. With a clear of your throat, you continued to speak. “Everything is fine.”

A hum left her red lips, seemingly vibrating every sense of your being. With two fingers, she trailed against your jaw as she continued to stare at your parted lips. “You should know better than to lie to me, my darling.”

“I do not wish to bother you with my human problems,” you muttered bitterly, pushing her fingers off your skin. For a moment, her eyes flashed with an unknown emotion but she did not utter a word as she took a step back to create space between the two of you.

“So, something has happened,” Alcina commented, standing to her feet as she towered over you again. It made you feel small in every sense as a wave of tears made their presence known. Hiding them from her was futile as she continued to watch, making you sniffle as you tried to wipe them away. “Tell me, who has hurt you?”

“No one.” It wasn’t like you to throw her daughters underneath the bus because of some harsh words. After all, you needed to be stronger than that.

Her hand reached forward, wiping away the stray tear with her thumb before she caressed your cheek. It took everything in you to not lean into her touch, refusing to place a kiss against her tender skin. Despite your lack of reaction, Alcina moved closer as she took a seat on the window sill. It was difficult due to her size, but she made it work as she continued to run her thumb against your cheek. “Then, why the tears?”

She waited for you to speak, listening to the shaky breaths that left your lips as you tried to gather your thoughts. “I’ve been having doubts,” you confessed, biting the inside of your cheek as you met the woman’s eyes. “About… us.”

“What do you doubt about us?” She asked softly. And, for the first time, you could hear worry in her tone as she slowed her movements. Her sharp gaze had softened, lingering on your saddened expression.

With a deep breath, you took her hand off your cheek as you held it close. Her hands were larger than an average person’s, but you still fit perfectly in them. “I fear that you do not love me the way that I love you,” you whispered, keeping your eyes on your interlocked hands. “I feel as if I am something that you use to pass the time. Someone to warm your bed at night for the time being before you get bored and move to the next.”

“People say I’m heartless,” she started off slowly, taking your words deep into her heart as her gaze flickering to your hands as well. “They call me a monster ━━ a frightening legend that mothers tell their misbehaving children. And, for a long time, I believed in those legends that painted me as a cruel vicious beast. That is, until I met you, my darling.”

Her words made you look up, daring to meet her eyes as she stared at you unblinking. Her beauty had always taken your breath away, making her perfect to you at anything that matters. Still, you remained quiet.

“Perhaps, I did not love you at first,” Alcina confessed, ever so slightly tightening her grip on your hand as she let out a heavy sigh. “But, you came into my life like a storm and I had learned how to dance in the rain. Regardless of what you think, my love for you is true. My darling, you make me feel whole ━━ the missing piece I had unknowingly been searching for.”

“Do you really mean that?” you asked softly, barely finding your voice as you faced the woman. Her words were like honey, dripping sweetness onto your tongue as you tried your hardest to believe her.

Her free hand caressed your cheek, moving closer to you before she left a chaste kiss against your forehead. “Have I ever lied to you before?”

“No, but…”

“Cease your doubts, my love,” Alcina said, staying inches away from your lips as her breath fanned against your cheeks. She whispered your name, letting out a deep sigh as she took in your scent. “What can I do to convince you that my love for you is true? To convince you that I want to spend the rest of our days together? To convince you that my heart yearns for you and only you?”

"Alcina…” you whispered softly, closing your eyes as her lips hovered over the skin of your neck. She didn’t move, waiting for some indication from you. “I love you more than anything in this world and… I wish to spend the rest of my life with you. If you would have me, that is.”

The soft words caused Alcina to open her eyes as she faced you, showing no emotion as usual. It made it hard for you to predict her next move as you waited for her to say anything. But, then a soft smile presented itself to you as she leaned in close. “Of course I would have you, my darling,” she whispered, meeting your eyes. “I would do anything for you.”

Her words brought a smile to your lips, pushing you forward as you engulfed her lips with your own. She was quick to pull you into her lap as she held you close, kissing back with the same intensity that you gave her. It made you feel warm with her love as any doubts you had begun to vanish as she held you. There was no doubt that Alcina Dimitrescu was hopelessly in love with you as you were with her. Yet, the sweet moment had ended too soon.

There was a knock at the door, causing a deep growl to leave Alcina’s lips as she pulled away from yours. It left you breathless as the two of you looked to the door to see Cassandra. She wore a sadistic grin, moving deeper into the room as she regarded the two of you. “Forgive me for interrupting,” she cooed, stealing a glance at your flushed expression with playful vice. “But, he’s back.”

A frown marred your features, causing you to glance back at Alcina and see the irritation blooming. “Who is back?”

With a sigh, Alcina looked to you as she forced a smile to her lips. She moved forward, leaving a chaste kiss against your lips that had become stained the same color as hers. “Only a nuisance that you needn’t worry about,” she whispered softly, moving to stand to her feet. “I shall be back soon, my love.”

At her words, you smiled. “I will be here waiting for your return.”

Hey. You post a lot of great stuff about Carry On. Can you talk about the biting in AWTWB. The Baz/Simon scenes.Trying to wrap my head around it to understand why Simon did that. Why he bites Baz and keeps biting. Bites his fangs through his cheek. Is it because Simon wants to be bitten? That he wants Baz so much and Baz can't be harmed? I'm really trying to understand it but . . . what do you think?

Can I talk about the biting? You bet I can!

Why does Simon bite Baz? Is it because he wants to be bitten? In a word, yes! But of course, there's a lot more to it than that. And this went off in another direction than I thought it would, so I hope you can stick with me on this journey! Under the cut because it’s a bit long.

There is a motif running throughout the trilogy of love being a consuming force. So much of Simon and Baz's identities are tied up in hunger very early on: Baz, as a vampire, constantly craving blood; Simon, as the Humdrum, constantly sucking up magic; both of them starved of love and intimacy. There's also a lot of fire imagery, going all the way back to when they first met, and fire is another consuming force.

Simon and Baz are obsessed with each other. The only thing they think about is each other. ("Trying not to think about you…S'like trying not to think about an elephant that's standing on my chest.") They are consumed and they want to consume, and, at least in Simon's case, they want to be consumed.

In WS, Simon reflects on misunderstanding his feelings for Baz prior to eighth year, and the way he does it has always stuck out to me: "I thought about him all the time. I missed him so much in the summer. (I thought I was just lonely. I thought I was hungry. I thought I was bored.)" The second item on that list is what catches my attention. Simon missed Baz and he thought he was hungry. I think it says a lot about how Simon's love for Baz feels if he mistakes it for actual hunger.

In the biting scene you mentioned, Simon says to Baz: "If it were me, if I were you…I'd drain you fuckin' dry, Baz, and it still wouldn't be enough." That's intense. And it's absolutely Simon. We know how much hunger he's capable of; his hunger was so potent, it became a whole other being! I've long maintained that his hunger for magic is a metaphor for his hunger for love. Because Simon is so full of love, and just utterly bereft of people to give it to, and once he has people to love, he doesn't know how to do it without also hurting them. He's never had good relationship modeling. (He thinks Baz should know he loves him because of how many things he's killed for him.—He thinks about teaching Baz how to break someone's neck like it's a fun couples' activity.—He gets turned on by killing things and watching Baz kill, too.—Date night is helping Baz hunt down rats.) Simon is a mess. He wants to love so badly, but he just doesn't know how to do it. ("Is this what people do?")

Simon loves Baz so much, he can't fathom ever getting enough of him. Ever being able to consume enough of him. He can't stop biting and smelling and grabbing because he wants more, more, more. He fits his teeth over Baz's old scars because he needs to claim him—make his own mark on Baz, possess him.

Part of this, as you said, is the fact that Baz is a vampire. Baz can take the roughness (which is not to say that he should just because he can). Simon's fixation on Baz's vampirism, which used to play out as paranoia, has changed into a desire to be bitten. Simon is thinking about Baz's vampirism, thinking about draining Baz dry if he were the vampire, and Baz, the human.

The other part of this is that Simon is unfettered, but really only in the aggressive, physical sense. He's long hidden his desires behind aggression without realizing that's what he was doing. (In CO: "I just want to run him down and knock him over and figure it all out." In AWTWB: "I wanted to jump on you, I didn't really think past that.") He doesn't know how to be unfettered in the vulnerable, emotional sense, and that's what keeps him from being able to be intimate with Baz. ("I don't know how, Baz…To get enough.")

Simon desperately wants to have sex with Baz. Which is what he's trying to do in the biting scene, but all of his desires are warring for control, and he can't sort out what he wants, and what he should be doing in that moment, with Baz.

What this is all leading me to may be a bit off topic, but I think it's all tied up in Simon's head.

Simon doesn't know how to be gentle.

His hunger and his desire for Baz have never been gentle. It's aggression, it's violence, it's possession; it's a forest fire, it's not a hidden waterfall.

Simon has never learned how to be at peace. In a recent interview with Vanity Fair, Rainbow said she made Simon "fight of flight"—literally, he has wings! There's a reason that Simon couldn't handle the inaction at the beginning of CO and before the events of WS. There's a reason that Penelope thought that they were "being lulled" because there was no war actively being waged. There's a reason Penelope tells us in WS: "Lesson learned: Relaxation is the most insidious humdrum." These are characters who are so traumatized by childhoods being foot soldiers in a war waged by the adults they trusted, they don't know how to live without fighting! They don't know how to live in peace.

We all have "I can touch you less gently, but I won't love you less kindly" burned into our eyeballs by now, but let's move earlier in that conversation to what sparks this: "What if I asked you to be less kind to me?" —What if I asked you to be less kind to me?— Simon doesn't feel comfortable with Baz's kindness or gentleness, because it "makes me feel like I'm being turned inside out. Like I need to get away." Let's sit with this for a bit. Baz's loving touches make Simon want to run because they're kind and gentle and he doesn't know what to do with kind and gentle. His mind isn't programmed for kind and gentle.

It makes complete sense that Simon would show Baz affection in a way that Simon understands, considering, as I said before, that he hasn't had anyone in his life to show him a healthy way to do this. What does Simon most want from Baz? Love. What does Simon understand love to be? Consumption. He wants roughness and aggression, he wants the inferno, because these are things he understands.

Simon wants Baz's teeth, so he gives Baz his teeth.

This is how Simon feels comfortable. I made this post while processing my feelings about AWTWB. It talks about Simon trying to love Baz the way he wants to be loved, and Baz trying to love Simon the way he wants to be loved. They want to give each other everything, but they haven't actually communicated their needs to one another, and that's what keeps them from being able to work through their problems. It isn't until they voice their needs that they're able to be intimate. This is what I'm really trying to get at here.

"Is this what people do?" Simon asks, over and over again. When Simon was in therapy, he learned a technique to break up "life into bites you can swallow". He tells us he's doing this again in AWTWB "because [the future] is too terrifying. Too uncertain. There are parts of it that are too bright." —There are parts of it that are too bright.— Simon doesn't know how to be happy. He doesn't know how to cope with happiness. "Is this what people do when they're in love? Do they just keep touching and talking? And then what? Like what is it all leading to? I don't mean sex, I mean… If I knew what I meant, it wouldn't be so frightening." When Simon is having all these overwhelming feelings about his future with Baz, they're on the Tube, and Simon sees a guy giving him and Baz "a dirty look". He interrupts his introspective on therapy to tell us that he wants the guy to cause trouble "because I would dearly love to punch something right now. That's a decision I could wrap my brain around." He can wrap his brain around punching someone, but not around a bright future with the man he loves.

Simon doesn't know how to be at peace. He doesn't know how to be in love. He doesn't know how to be happy. I think this is what we're seeing at play when he bites Baz. He wants something so badly, but he doesn't know what it is, can't articulate it, can't get at it. In a way, when he bites Baz, Simon is trying to ask for what he wants, without words, and without really knowing what it is that he does want.

He can't figure out how to let himself be happy and feel good while being happy. He can't stand gentleness, or softness. In his head, he can't give that to Baz, because he can't handle it himself.

So, yes, Simon bites Baz because he wants to be bitten. And he bites Baz because he knows Baz can handle it. And he bites Baz because there's an emptiness inside of him that he's still trying to fill, and he doesn't understand how to do that. Someday, he will fill it. He and Baz are going to figure that out together.

@thedefinitionofbts - I love how emotionally invested I get when reading their fics. Most of their fics are smut-less but deeply rooted in emotions so I remember the story a lot even if I’ve read some years or months ago (I said in my werewolf fic rec list that there’s this Jungkook fic of theirs that’s really sad and I still imagine him waiting for OC.) Just powerful storytelling. You can check their masterlist and mind the fics with smut. I wanted to list my favorites here but I’ll end up listing everything. No smut and you can try all her works if you are in the mood for angst, some pondering, etc. Masterlist here. You can read the Love Chaser Series (though you have to read the Yoongi series first before reading Jungkook’s, it’s one universe).

August delivers so much even with minimal word count; they can get you emotional (fluffy or angsty) and it is so easy to visualize the image she is trying to describe. Just wonderful. The words just flow easily too so the fics are not difficult to read/imagine. I recommend the ff:

@akinnie75 - What a wonderful storyteller. I would binge on her fics for their plot/storylines. Usually it feels as if you are reading a tale. Several of their fics ended up in my #holygrailfics (the namjoon and jimin ones). You can try:
