shadow, boredly digging through random books on rouge's bookshelf: huh what's this one about
rouge, grabbing my sister's keeper from him and tossing it over her shoulder where it crashes into a shelf of tupperware and scatters mugs and pots all over the floor: OH LET'S READ SOMETHING ELSE ACTUALLY

True love is felonious... You take someone's breath away... You rob them of the ability to utter a single word... You steal a heart.

“Let me tell you this: if you meet a loner, no matter what they tell you, it's not because they enjoy solitude. It's because they have tried to blend into the world before, and people continue to disappoint them.” Jodi Picoult, My Sister’s Keeper

Hey, did anyone ever read My Sister's Keeper? It's pretty good.
I read it in high school. It's literally the only time I enjoyed reading a book that the school forced me to read. And I dare say it's one of my favorite books ever. Granted, I never read much outside of fan fiction or comics, but it still counts.
Keep in mind it is a VERY tragic story that shows how complex people are and that there's no such thing as completely good people or completely bad ones either. Just...people in a complicated situation where there's no right answers.
Anyways, I've been thinking about it again lately, as one tends to do with a book as good as that, and I certainly recommend it. I recommend it MORE than the shitty ass movie, I can tell you that much.

In Chapter Seven of "My Sister's Keeper," Jazz is up and moving after her coma, and Danny torn between being relieved and hating himself for putting her in a coma in the first place. Unrelated, but Vlad has a girlfriend now. Sort of.
Check it out here. Then stay tuned for the epilogue.

Normal, in our house, is like a blanket too short for a bed—sometimes it covers you just fine, and other times it leaves you cold and shaking; and worst of all, you never know which of the two it's going to be.

“Ask any kid who’s made it past fourth grade and they can tell you: water never stops moving. Rain falls, and runs down a mountain into a river. The river finds its way to the ocean. It evaporates, like a soul, into the clouds. And then, like everything else, it starts all over again.”
