Are you a brunette? Yep. It is way past due time that I get it dyed... What is your favorite channel on TV? I don't really watch TV, but if I did, I'm pretty sure it'd probably be Discovery. Have you ever been to Chicago, IL? Yes!! It's my only experience with a truly BIG city, and though I'm not a city person, the experience was pretty magical. It was something I wasn't even remotely used to. Just so much life and business and energy to feel there. Who was your first friend? Brianna. She was the sister of my older sister's best friend. What is your favorite holiday? Christmas. :') Do you regret your last kiss? Nope. Have you ever taken a karate class? No. Who was the last person to tell you ‘I love you’? My mom. There are many. ^If so, what about it brought you to tears? Again, I said "many," so this would be a horribly long list. There are four though - "Eternally Yours" and "Another Life" by Motionless in White, "Stairway to Heaven" by Led Zeppelin, and "The Mortician's Daughter" by Black Veil Brides - that I really, really try to avoid, because I WILL cry. They're all associated with Jason for one reason or another. "Stairway to Heaven," especially, is absolutely forbidden for me to listen to. Would you consider yourself open-minded? Very, honestly. Have you ever met someone online that you wanted to meet in real life? I've met Sara! :') There are a handful of others I'd love to meet, too. Tell me about the last thing that made you laugh until it hurt. Wow, I have no idea. I don't remember the last time I laughed THAT hard. When you graduate, what color will your gown be? Ugh, it was this insufferable red. We got to vote on it, and I really wanted navy instead, as it looks more formal and not as obnoxious to me, but red won. Do you own a gun? No. My household legally can't because of my suicidal history. What color of shirt are you wearing? It's a black tank top. Do you use any acne medication? Nah, I don't really get acne anymore. Are you emotional or very stoic? I'm emotional as shit. Have you ever watched an anime series, start to finish? A few. It is very, VERY rare I do this. The only cases I remember are for Because of Winn-Dixie and Meerkat Manor: Flower of the Kalahari. Do you have any religious symbols in your home? I think Mom has some religious quotes on the walls? What religion do you identify with, if any? None. What is you favorite flavor of pudding and/or yogurt? I love chocolate pudding, but I'm not very big on yogurt because of the sourness. I can sometimes eat a cookies 'n cream one, but occasionally I'm like "ew." We’re going to the best amusement park ever, first ride you choose is? One of those water rides where you go down a big slope. Did you have intense night terrors as a child? No. Know anybody who works in a tattoo parlor? No. That'd be dope. Have you ever had a piercing get infected? Ugh, yes. Worst was the first time I got my tongue pierced. It was early into infection though, thank God; I ended up having to take it out and get it re-pierced later. Have you ever shoplifted? No. Do you hate when people say, "Everything’s going to be fine,“ when it’s not? Sometimes. It can feel kinda dismissive of your extreme situation, and sometimes, things simply won't be okay. Like, you can't tell that to someone on their death bed. Do you check your fire alarms when you’re supposed to? No, oops. Are you a shorts-wearing kind of person? Absolutely not. Nobody wants to see my legs, not even me. Is your grandparents’ house obsessively tidy? My grandma's sure as hell was. She was very old-fashioned and "proper" and took cleanliness and manners very seriously. Do you know how to jumpstart a car? Nope. Would you date someone 8 years older than you? Probably. What did you do today? I WENT TO THE GYM AND DID A FULL HOUR OF EXERCISE!!!!! :') For once I am SO fucking proud of myself. I left drenched in sweat, but I also left with a feeling of great accomplishment. I'm going to be going twice a week now with a personal trainer. (: Who was the last person you fell asleep with? Sara. Have you ever punched a hole in the wall? No. People doing that shit terrifies me. Have you ever felt replaced? Sure have. Have you ever kissed someone who was high? No. If you caught your significant other cheating on you what would you do? I don't have a partner, but hypothetically, leave their ass in a blink. I don't fuck with those kind of people. I've removed all pictures I have of him, irl and digitally, because it's triggering for me. How many push-ups can you do? Probably zero. Do you play any games on your phone? There's Pokemon GO, DragonVale, and Dragons of Atlantis that I play semi-regularly. Have you ever received a compliment from a stranger? Yes. Have you ever shaved your face? Just my upper lip to avoid the lady stache, ha ha. What colour is your front door? It’s white. Do you take the stairs or the elevator? If an elevator is available, I will ALWAYS use that. I have an extreeeemely hard time getting up stairs because of having just about no leg muscle. Do you get motion sickness? No. When was the last time you went to your favourite restaurant? Oh man, it's been forever. :/ Olive Garden sounds soooo good right now. Do either of your parents have any tattoos or piercings? No. Well, Mom has her earlobes pierced once, but that's it. Are you desperate for anyone’s approval, in particular? It's funny, even though he hasn't been a part of my life for years, I still desperately crave what I think would make Jason proud. There have been many times where my mind has wondered to what he would think of me now... and I know it's not good. Today, after finishing my workout at the gym. I think, finally, that I may be taking another stride forward in life. Honestly, do you think that you will wanna settle down in the same town you’re currently residing in? HELL no. I hate this place. Does anyone call you darling? If so who? Sara does sometimes. Do you really care how many friends you or anyone else has on Myspace/Facebook? Couldn't care less. I only "friend" people I know and care about. Does your significant other have any piercings? I'm single. Do you ever get bored of yourself? Oh, all the time. I feel like I'm extremely dull and plain and, well, boring. How many band shirts do you own? Which? Oh goodness, I have no idea. I own a lot. Do you go to shows mostly for the music, the moshing, or the merchandise? I go for the music. It's nice to buy merch, but it's SO expensive that it's dumb. Moshing, I think is just stupid. Have you ever had anything pierced that you don’t have now? Many places, actually. So many holes closed because piercings had to be taken out when I was in the psych hospital. I was so annoyed. Who were you with the first time you watched the last movie you watched? I was alone. Do you have any twins/multiples in your family? Are they identical or fraternal? No. What is the highest number of jobs you’ve had at one time? One. Is your mom a good mom? She is the actual best. Last thing you threw in the garbage? The crust of some leftover pizza I had this morning. I generally eat the crust, but this time it was WAY too hard.

Hmmm

You know, now that I think about it. Actually sit and think about it. In my mother’s car. Going somewhere, to my grandma’s grave for her birthday. Never really met her, died when my mom was young so it’s ok lol.

I felt nothing...

somewhat.

I never imagined anyone sexually nor romantically. At all. Maybe a bit with my crushes but my crushes were small in number (like just fuckin’ 6 so far) and most of them ended up being fictional. Two instances of crushing real life people just have my being incredibly shy and embarrassed around them, maybe me wanting to hold their hand or notice me. Gigil is the right word. It’s more prominent with my crush in Grade 10.

There are times where I wish to touch the badonkers and body parts and assets (mostly dahonkabangoolos) but like???? It never went to far into the gutter??? I just want to touch? Just touch and hug maybe but that’s mostly it. It’s not limited to my crushes. Gonta tibbie mousepad

I genuinely feel bad for feeling nothing towards both sexes (mostly same sex). I’m worried that I’m not gay or straight enough. Like an anomaly. Even when I already know about Asexual, I don’t think I’m Ace enough. I’m sorry I’m dumb af.

I can’t be Demi though, since I don’t feel anything for any of my friends, sexually or romantically. For example, Saku, been a friend for 4 years and know her somewhat well but I mostly find myself imagining living with her as a friend. Not as any form of sexual or romantic partner. It also happened to two of my friends in elementary. Just to put a bit more thought.

Probably the only one so far I imagine with both is my current fictional crush. Ngl I feel bad for thinking about him that way lmao. But even then, it’s not much of a sexual awakening and I don’t actively look for of him, you know the stuff ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

You know what? Like I said, I give up in the specifics lmao. Though I’m positive that I’m more in the Ace Spectrum. Don’t ask about romantic spectrum cuz that’s a bit more confusing.

Meeting Your Family

a/n:I used to write a long time ago but you know, I wanted to keep writing. So I revived my account LOL.

It’s been three years since you moved to Seoul for college and instead of having regrets about moving to a whole new country, you loved it. The culture was amazing, South Korea was absolutely beautiful, and the food was great!

Life wasn’t lonely either. Sure the first few weeks took some getting used to, but you found your people right away. You couldn’t forget the first friend you made in school, Jung Hoseok, who was one of the biggest rays of sunshine you’ve ever met. He was your lab partner for your introductory chemistry course and from that day on you two were two peas in a pod! Time passed and next thing you know, you were part of his friend group which included six other guys with him, Jeon Jungkook, Kim Taehyung, Park Jimin, Kim Namjoon, Min Yoongi, and Kim Seokjin.

Ah yes, Kim Seokjin a.k.a Jin. When you first met him, you thought he was just another pretty face who had his life all written out for him. In fact, he got on your nerves a little bit when it came to him always admiring his face and bragging about it. But that didn’t stop him from trying to get to know you more. In fact, the more you ran away, the more he tried to get close to you. But you never stopped him. And because you never stopped him, you got to see how genuine of a person he was. How caring, goofy and fun he was. And in the end, you two fell for each other quickly and hard.

It’s three years into your relationship now and you and Jin are as strong as ever. You both had just finished your third year of Undergrad and as Summer vacation was approaching, you two had decided to take a vacation before the stress of your last year of college started to roll in. Coincidentally, it was your grandma’s 80th birthday and a family reunion was being planned. You thought it was the perfect opportunity to bring Seokjin home to see where you grew up and to meet your family.

“Oppa! Are you excited to meet my family?” You asked as the two of you settled into your seats on the plane. It was going to be a long flight considering you guys were on your way to the States, so you both dressed fairly comfy.

“I...am...nervous! What if they don’t like me? What if they don’t think I’m good enough for you? What if I screw up on this trip? What if the gifts I bought them weren’t good enough?” He kept on rambling on and you thought it was the cutest thing. When he rambles, he tends to get very...bouncy.

You placed your hand on his and giggled, “Oppa you didn’t have to buy EVERYONE gifts you know that right? Even though my parents only have my older brother and I, my aunts are gonna want gifts, my uncles will, my cousins will, my parents friends will...the list goes on! What matters is that we packed the gift for my grandma...which you did right?”

Aggressively Jin pounded on his chest, “Of course! It kinda saddens me Jagi that you’re suspecting that I forgot it…” He pouted with his luscious lips and you couldn’t help but kiss them.

“I just wanted to make sure!” you snuggled into his side, “I’m just really excited and anxious and nervous, and hungry…”

Jin chuckled and kissed your forehead, “I know, I am too. But this will be a great trip, I’m sure of it”.

Please return your seats to the upright position and fasten your seatbelts as we prepare for landing.

You opened up the window to the plane and sure enough, the familiar aerial view of your hometown took over, “Oppa look! There’s downtown! Oh look there’s the harbor! There’s my old school! I’m home!” The excitement started to take over you and you held Jin’s hand, “I’m really home!”

“Wow this definitely isn’t Seoul, but it’s still pretty amazing.” He’s been to the states before but this is his first time visiting where you’re from.

Soon enough, you two got your luggage and your rental car and were on the way to your hotel. Since it was a big celebration for your grandma, families from all over were in town, so your parents house was full. Plus Jin and you figured that since you two were still on vacation, a little privacy wouldn’t hurt you two.

“Let’s see, there’s my Aunt and Uncle who drove from Los Angeles. Their kids live here and they have kids now! My brother and his girlfriend are coming! My cousins from Chicago are coming! My grandma’s best friend who’s basically my grandma!...” You started listening off everyone to Jin as he drove you guys to the hotel.

“Woah woah woah Jagi! That’s a lot! I’m not going to remember this! You have to show me their faces and explain to me right then and there!” Jin said as he pulled into the hotel which wasn’t too far from the airport.

“Sorry Oppa! Try your best tomorrow! You got this!” You smiled and kissed his cheek.

“I’M DRIVING!! PLEASE DON’T DISTRACT ME BECAUSE I WANNA KISS YOU NOW! UGH!”

Giggling you reassured him, “Oppa we have the rest of the day to ourselves. So the first order of business, the hotel room!” You winked and teased him.

“Good, cause 13 hours on that plane is too long.”

Your alarm started going off at 9 A.M., the party was at 11, in time for lunch.

“Oppa~” you cooed sleepily as you snuggled into a shirtless Jin, “Oppaaaaaa we have to get uppppppp. I need to take a showerrrrrr.”

Jin hugged you tightly and snuggled his face into your hair, “Ughhh five more minutes Jagi pleaseeeee. I want to keep holding you and relax a little more before I go through the stress of learning all of your family members' names.” His grip around your waist got tighter as he pulled you even closer into him and at the same time...you felt something down there poke you.

“Yah!” You playfully slapped him and sat up, “I’m going in the shower! You take care of that while I’m gone!”

“Fine!” Jin pouted as you playfully walked into the bathroom.

The shower has always been a thinking spot for you and you couldn’t help but think of the possibilities that could happen today. Everything could go great and your family could adore Jin. Everything could go terribly bad and you and Jin would be returning to Seoul as soon as possible. What if your dad didn’t like him? What if he didn’t get along well with your older brother? What if one of your cousins tried to flirt with him? He is gorgeous after all.

“Jagi! Hurry up! I need to shower!” You heard Jin open the door to come and brush his teeth. You two have been together for 3 years now and have definitely seen each other 100% if you know what that means, so leaving the bathroom door for you two to walk in on each other was nothing new.

“Sorry Oppa!!” You stepped out of the shower with the towel wrapped around you, “Can y-” but before you could finish Jin wrapped his hands around your waist and pulled you close so your faces were only centimeters apart.

“Mmm my Jagi is so irresistible in this state” he started trailing kisses down your neck, “You taste just like strawberries”. His favorite fruit, and coincidentally, the scent of your body wash. He backed you up against the counter of the bathroom and his hands started toying with the fold of your towel, “I could easily take this off and take you right here” You felt a warmth growing in your stomach and your cheeks were heating up.

But you didn’t have much time. If you were gonna make love to Jin, you wanted to have lots of time to be passionate with each other.

So you smirked and whispered in his ear, “Tell you what Oppa, if you’re good today, I’ll definitely reward you when we get back here later” and with that, you playfully skipped out of the bathroom, “Now finish getting ready”.

Jin just stood there with his mouth wide open, “Yah! You can’t just tease me like that!”

Your mom told you and Jin to wear something colorful and bright to the party. So you decided to go with your favorite sky blue sundress and Jin was the one who wanted to match, so he decided to go simple with black slacks, a sky blue dress shirt and a blazer.

The two of you pulled up to the party venue and Jin sighed, “Oh boy...here we go!” he said as he parked the rental car, “I still can’t believe you teased me like that earlier…”

“Like I said, be good Oppa and you get what you want!” Jin opened the door for you and helped you out of the car, but before you could make your way to the venue you heard your older cousin call out for you.

“(Y/N)! Is that really you? You made it?!” This cousin was like a big sister to you, one that you never had, “How was the flight? When did you fly in? Why didn’t you tell me?”

You giggled and held her hands, “I thought my parents told you? It was sent in the family group chat after all?”

“Oh yeah...wait a second...is this the Jin that you post photos with? Your boyfriend of three years whom we never met? Is that why I had to make a name tag for him?!” she ran over to Jin, “Wow you’re handsome! Nice to meet you”

“H-hello” Jin smiled warmly, “I’m sorry my English isn’t strong yet”.

“You’re doing just fine! Thank you for coming! I’m sure the rest of the family can’t wait to meet you!” she smiled and turned back to you, “ I have to help my husband bring in the desserts so I’ll see you later. Nice to meet you Jin!”

“That was only one cousin...and she has a husband who I haven’t met.” Jin looked around, “And there’s SOOOOO many cars which means there’s SOOOOO many people here. Oh...my gosh….I don’t have think.”

You intertwined your fingers with his, “You got this Oppa, now let’s go inside and greet everyone else.”

The two of you turned and walked away into the venue. Flowers served as the centerpieces for the tables, blue and gold was the color scheme since they were your Grandma’s favorite colors. You turned to sign the guest book before anything else.

(Y/N) and Kim Seokjin. Grandma I made it home for your birthday!

After, you dragged Jin to where the two of you would be sitting. You were still fairly early so not many people were there yet, but when you approached your table, one of Jin’s biggest fears was there. It was your older brother and he sure did not want to screw this one up.

“(Y/N)!” Your older brother smiled and both him and his girlfriend got up, “I’m so happy to see my little sister!” You and your brother were carbon copies of each other. The only difference was your age and gender.

“Hi. I’m home” You smiled cheekily.

Your brother walked right past you and straight to Jin. They saw eye to eye. Those freaking giants…

“You must be Seokjin?”

Jin took a deep breath and nodded, “Yes I am. Nice to meet you.” He held out his hand for your brother to shake.

Your brother raised an eyebrow and nodded approvingly, “Nice to meet you too. I hope you’re taking care of my sister. If not I’ll fly to Seoul and beat you to a pulp.”

After your brother said that you playfully smacked him and took Jin away, “You did great meeting my brother Oppa! But are you ready for your next challenge? Cause it’s time to meet my parents!” You squeezed his hand reassuringly and continued to drag him towards more people.

You found your mom and dad finishing the dessert arrangements, “Mommy! Daddy! I’m hoooommmeee!” You squealed as you ran up to them.

“Welcome home! Are you staying home??” Your parents were of course happy for you in Seoul but they missed you terribly, “Oh and is this Seokjin?”

“I’m not staying home, I have to finish school! And yes, this is my boyfriend!” You smiled up at Jin.

He gulped and smiled, “H-hello. My name is Seokjin. Nice to meet you.” He shook your dad’s hand and as he was about to shake your mom’s she pulled him in for a hug.

“Sorry I’m a hugger. And since I’m hugging you, that means I approve of you dating my daughter.” She smiled.

But Jin looked a little lost. You realized you had to translate a bit of that for him. But he was smiling nonetheless.

“Last test I promise Oppa. It’s the matriarch herself. My grandma.” Now your grandma may have been turning 80, but she still acts like she’s 40. Your grandma stood at the head table, dressed in an extravagant gown. She was with your oldest cousin and his kids.

“(Y/N)!” He exclaimed as you dragged Jin over, “You made it! How was the flight?”

“It was good! Long...but good!” You gave him a hug, “This is my boyfriend Seokjin!”

Your cousin gave Jin a visibly firm handshake, “It’s nice to meet you.” It looked like the handshake was really firm cause you saw Jin flinch a little, but nothing too noticeable.

“It’s nice to meet you too.” Jin smiled and didn’t let the surprise get to him.

“Oookaaay. I think you’re hurting my boyfriend.” You separated their hands and looked at your cousin, “He has to meet grandma anyways!”

The two of you turned and you engulfed your grandma in a hug, “Awh man grandma I missed you! You look stunning!”

“Thank you my dear,” Your grandma smiled and looked behind you, “Who’s this handsome man that you brought with you?”

In Jin’s mind he thought, All right, handsome. It’s a good start. She recognized my outstanding face.

“This is Seokjin. My boyfriend that I met at school.” You pulled him closer and immediately your grandma engulfed him in a hug.

“I’m a hugger too!” She patted Jin’s back and let him go, “It’s nice to meet you. I hope you’re taking good care of my granddaughter.”

Jin smiled and nodded, “It is nice to meet you too. Happy Birthday.”

After talking for a bit with your grandma and some other family members, you and Jin began to walk back to your table, “I think you’re doing just fine. So far it seems like everyone here adores you. Well don’t question any of my cousins or my brother, they like you, trust me.”

“You really think so?”

“I know so,” you grabbed his hand reassuringly, “They’ve never been this approving before. But you’re amazing so I wouldn’t see why not. It’s hard to find a reason not to like you.”

“Jagi you flatter me,” Jin squeezed your hand back, “I’m glad I’m doing good. But now I need to just survive through this party then I get my reward!”

You felt heat flush through your cheeks, “Shh! Not around my family! Plus I want to go somewhere after the party.”

“Okay okayyyy, but Jagi?” Jin looked down at you warmly, “I love you.”

You smiled back, “I love you too Oppa.”

The entire party went really smoothly. Some of your nieces and nephews fell in love with Jin because of his height and even started using his arms as swings and monkey bars. Jin and your brother got along fairly well because they were both able to bond over gaming. He got along well with your parents because they loved the fact that he was a goal driven man. Your cousins all adored him for how loving he was to you.

But soon enough the party ended and you and Jin were free for the day. Before you guys decided to head back to your hotel though, you wanted to take Jin to a favorite spot of yours that you used to go to back when you still lived in the states.

It was a viewpoint that overlooked the ocean and the way that the sun reflected on it, it was just magical.

“Whenever I just needed some alone time, I would come here, sit in my car and just listen to music.” You smiled as you and Jin sat in the trunk of your rental car just looking at the view. Mid-May

It’s a little slow at work today and I’m planning on sneaking out early. I think I’m PMSing again. Lately, I’ve been a little overly fascinated by pretty girls on IG/IG influencers and models. Before, I would follow just one group of influencers but now I see so many young, wannabe or rising models on the explorer page. I’m starting to feel old. When I was younger and I heard people just a few years older me call themselves “ancient”, I found it laughable, but I kinda understand what they mean now. Our skin won’t ever be as taut, our minds never as innocent. Our lives as carefree. I think about what I have to offer in my relationship and feel like my partner can do better than me. It’s not good to feel inferior, as that will breed insecurity and damage the relationship, but I do ask myself, when is he gonna stop being a dumbass and realize that? Or can I trick him long enough to trap him? Lol. I learned something new about the culture in china recently. Traditionally, women in marriages are left to manage the household income. The husband would direct deposit his income into the account that she manages. She would give him an allowance/stipend for his basic needs. The idea is that women have best interest in mind for her family, and if guys have too much spending power, he has a higher chance of committing adultery. Women make the initial investment of giving her youth and fertility to the man, and men make the later investment of finances.

Last Thursday, my old boss came into my office at 4:55pm and asked us for the HR director’s cell phone number. It took me by surprise because it was the first time I saw her in our room. I glanced over and she was surprisingly very friendly with me. Her face was notably red. She commented on how my hair got longer, asked me about my job and my recent trip to Japan. I was in a good mood so I was fine seeing her and was proud of her for not brushing me off. It was the first actual conversation we had since I left a year ago. When I left the office at 5:00pm, she was standing out in the hallway just waiting for some reason. Following that incident, I learned that she was going through personal issues. This past Tuesday, I received news that she was admitted to the ER. My work friends were speculating and thought that she might be schizophrenic. They saw her just standing in the hallways blankly staring into space. She had a history of talking and laughing to herself. Before she was admitted to the ER, she dropped the items in her hand while walking and started to shake. Faculty (and the chief) in her division had to come upstairs to HR to seek counseling help for her. I don’t imagine that faculty helping out the admins happens like that often. After more speculation, it just seems like she had a nervous breakdown. Not sure why exactly, but I think it’s because of her demented and aging father (parents live in Missouri).

At age 45, she still depended on her parents to give her money to buy a new iphone. She still expected Christmas presents or birthday presents… and for them to pay for her plane ticket whenever she visited them in Missouri. I told my mom about this and she said that perhaps she’s very financially dependent on her father. If he falls, she falls too. My mom has always been extremely forgiving towards this boss of mine. I think she is grateful for her mainly because she allowed me a job at UCLA. I said mom, she didn’t hand me the job. I interviewed just like everyone else and competed against dozens of candidates. My current job, sure. I was pretty much handed it. My mom always refers to her as a poor girl, and reminds me to be kind to her. When I heard the news of her being mentally off and being checked into the ER, I felt sick. My former coworker talked to me about how upper management knew she had big mood swings and even described her as “bipolar”. It angered her that they allowed her a supervisory position having known that. She brought up how I could’ve made a bigger scene before I quit, and could’ve went to the union for help. And how HR offered me a job to kinda placate me. At the time, I had thought about it, but I remember reading the guidelines of what counted as “workplace bullying” and my experience didn’t fully fall under that. I don’t know if I would have gone to the union, but if that were the case, my name would definitely be tainted and I wouldn’t be allowed to work here again basically. Currently, she’s still in the ER. I’m glad that I don’t have to be careful walking around campus in fear of bumping into her. But I do hope she leaves and doesn’t return (not this earth, just this campus lol).

Matt came back last Thursday and we are leaving to Seattle tonight. Him being gone felt way longer for me than it did for him it seemed. It was kinda hard seeing him have fun all day/travel whereas I was just at work and living my day to day life in LA. When he got back, he said it kinda felt bad/different. He missed having the sense of family like in China, where his family would eat together every day and talk. He said he doesn’t have that here because everyone’s off doing their own thing. It felt a little different seeing him again. I think when you are traveling in a new country, so much goes on and you get to experience many new things. You come back with new learned perspectives. He asked me to sleepover at his house Friday night. I said okay but to get permission from his mom first. He was shy about asking her but finally did ask through text. His mom responded “yes no problem. Should I buy food?”, to which he said no, it’s okay (always denying me food lol). She ended up buying me chocolate covered strawberries, which I thought was really sweet and romantic of her LOL. I didn’t see his mom that night. When I walked into their house, she was not wearing pants and then just went into her room and stayed there the rest of the night. Matt was sick so I brought over ginger and rock sugar to make ginger tea. I was making that in the kitchen with his brother around juicing stuff. It was the first time Matt had a girl over just casually like that lol. His brother is like 14/15 and reminds me of myself when I was his age. He’s pretty talented in art, cooking and general academics. I see why Matt calls him his 2.0 now. If I had a sister 15 years younger than me, damn straight I would train her to be Connie 2.0 too. The sex that night was a lot. After not seeing him for like almost two weeks, I felt shy with him again. He was also extra horny/missed me. The next day, we went hiking. Got a parking ticket. Dropped him back off at home after because homeboy was jetlagged, sick, and sleep deprived and was dying post hike. I brought up how silly he was to have thought we could have gone to Seattle the weekend he returns. I think I learned my role with him. I’m like the practical, cool one. When he comes up with overly ambitious ideas like GOING TO 3 COUNTRIES IN ONE WEEK, I have to shoot down his idea and tell him no. I am glad I shot down his Seattle idea on the weekend he is back. I said, “you get kinda disappointed when I tell you no.” He said “yeah I do. But I’ll get it later.”

The next day was mother’s day. My parents and grandma went to a party. Matt’s mom got admitted to the ER that day. I half joked that maybe I was a part of it because she might have been scared about him getting me pregnant or whatever. He noted that I’m the calm in his life and that his mom “needs a Connie in her life”. Funnily enough, it seems his dad and I share certain qualities. We both like to be comfortable (sleep on time, hike/nature, have a schedule, be early to appointments), we are the less anal ones in the pair. His dad went to China the same week we left to Asia, and he’s gonna stay for like 3 months. I think having both the dad and Matt gone was hard on her.

I told him that due to his mom’s current state, it’s okay if we cancel Seattle. Southwest offers free cancellation and the Airbnb we booked also had a flexible policy, so we didn’t have anything to lose. I also told him that I don’t mind either way because it’s been a lot of traveling for me already- I don’t mind just chilling at home. At least I’d get enough sleep here lol. Also that because he wants to save up money (since he’ll need to pay for rent now), at least not going will save him money. He said thank you to my considerations. He ended up choosing to go. Over dinner on Tuesday, he said the first thing he will do upon receiving his vacation schedule (he gets 2 two week blocks a year, but can’t choose the dates), is book a trip to Iceland for us. I joked saying “where are your priorities?” lol because it seems he hasn’t done much in preparation for the program but yet is thinking about vacation already. Although it did make me happy to hear that. It’s like a placeholder to keep me attached for x amount of time. By Tuesday, I felt comfortable with him again. As he settles in, stops being sick and jetlagged, and his days return to normalcy.

We talked a little about the trip. I noted how it was too much pressure on the one day we had per country to go well and he agreed. I thought he was high strung especially. Hanging out with him at home is normally chill, as I confirmed hanging out with him again. He is NORMALLY easy going and doesn’t have many opinions on the things we do/eat, but traveling with him under a constraint was different. At least we got to learn more about each other. Going to Seattle after work today- semi PMSing. Here’s to round two of traveling! Will try to be rational and think before reacting. Aiming for good vibes throughout.

Clubbing: I went clubbing for the first time in years (minus the times I went just to show my cousins from France around LA). I guess it’s fun getting dressed up and going with a group of girls just taking pictures together and getting male attention. But I was also reminded about how I don’t like clubbing and it’s not my scene. I tend to drink more to feel at ease in those environments. I was DD and drank kinda a lot (my friend said DD stands for ‘drunk driver’ LOL). The club is actually a sad scene for me now. In the restroom especially, you see these wasted girls. On the dancefloor there are dropped drinks. You have all this unwanted attention. Reminded me of the song “crying in the club” – I don’t know the song but I just know the title lol. I remember when I was younger, I used enjoy getting wasted and remembered that girls are usually very supportive in the restroom. People become nicer and friendlier than if they weren’t drunk. It was a fun night- girl bonding and seeing people was a refreshing way to spend my weekend nights haha

what is your special talent/skill as a roleplayer? I can make things look pretty, I guess, and I can make art. Graphic design is my passion. (Yeah I’m saying that sincerely too, I’m a graphic design major)

what is your favorite type of roleplay genre, and why? Comedy and fluff! Real life is already depressing enough for me, so I use humor and cute things to distract me, make me laugh, or make me happy. Personally, focusing on angst or screwed up scenarios too much doesn’t help me mentally. A little bit of it makes things interesting, though!

why did you pick your muse?

Kisuke has been a long time favorite character for me. I love how complex he is as a character... I love his duality. He’s light and goofy and eccentric, but also dark and serious and cunning. And he’s a very flexible and versatile muse too. Despite his complexity and how difficult it appears to be to play him due to his high intelligence, I feel that because he can adapt so easily to situations and people, it actually makes him an easy first muse. I was really scared about playing him on a public online space because I wasn’t certain if anyone would like my interpretation, and ended up holding off playing him publicly for 2 years (plus I was dealing with other stuff.) I’m glad I was finally brave enough to try, because it’s been fun!

And for Tessai, I just really started to love him as a character the more I thought about his relationship with Urahara, Yoruichi, and the kids. He doesn’t get enough credit for doing the things he has done, and I believe that taking his character and expanding it through RP would make me feel really happy. I’m kinda one of the few people who actually like this character, so I want to really make him my own.

if you could write any other muse - but know you don’t have the muse for him/her - who would it be? Lots of Bleach characters, probably the “less popular” ones or background characters. Jinta, Ururu, Don Kanonji, Hachi, Kon, Isane, and Hidetomo Kajomaru come to mind. Baby Nel, Pesche, and Dondochakka would also be fun because they’re weird and silly. Comic relief characters in general would be easy for me to play. For other fandoms, I would love trying Connie or Sadie from Steven Universe, Dipper or Mabel from Gravity falls, Coran from Voltron or any of the Paladins, Sokka from Avatar the Last Airbender, and Bolin from the Legend of Korra, or any robot from Transformers (it’s hard for me to pick one though.)

what is one thing you think you need to work on as a partner? Everything!... Well no, not really. I think communicating how I’d like things to go is a big issue due to my anxiety. I do try but sometimes I just have so much trouble. Also I need to figure out a system that works so I don’t lose or forget ongoing threads...I know I’ve already lost a few. I also need to work on noticing where it’s a good time to either wrap up threads or drop them if I can’t finish for whatever reason. I end up not knowing where to stop and keep going and going until my partner drops.

The past

Watched a YouTube video from a lecture or seminar that made me start thinking.

I brought up to my psychologist that I'm questioning if I have ptsd. Which I (also) had seen in a YouTube video that being in a longer relationship with a narcissistic and/ or abusive partner can cause this... we talked about it. And since my last couple of years I'm still questioning everything if what I feel is valid enough to mean anything ..traumatic and traumatic? If you get rolled in to it slowly it don't sound so traumatic. It's not a blunt force smack in your face, it's slowly and steady pushing your boundaries till you no longer know what's going on.

Anyways, today I saw this seminar video about complex trauma and started to think if this is more my issue. The more severe cases are sexual abuse, neglect and so on as a child. But key factor is that it's about the mistrust an authority figure you're supposed to be able to feel trust for that "creates" it. Parent, relative, coach, teacher.

Teacher... that's the one. That's how it started for me. I don't even know if my parents are aware she started it. I've told my psychologist that I would ask them but I still haven't. I'm slightly scared they'll say Yes. Cause what emotions will that cause?

This is a easier subject to talk about tho since it was so long ago and I've been able to mention this through out my life to people.

My 1st grade teacher was very old fashioned. We was her last class before retirement. I'm a little older so don't think your grandma's standards more her mother or even her grandma.

One of my favorite songs growing up was a punk song starting "little girls should be seen and not heard." Which probably have a lot of ground in how she treated me. My best friend was a boy. My neighbour was a boy. I basically just knew boys.

We had her for 3 years but already during my first year I went from being the fun, energetic kid with grass stains on my knees to a quiet crying little girl that my best friend had to take care of. If my friends talked to me she didn't raise an eyebrow till I answered and told me to be quiet. Then they kept talking without any problem and only I got told repeatedly to not say anything.

Eventually this caused the rest of the class to freeze me out. All but my best friend. Finally as 8yo I was sick of it. Hurting him. He who always stood up for me. The way I decided it was enough wasn't the best tho. I was already crying. Just blanked out stopped as he was about to take my side. And I tried to laugh it off. His eyes went from confusion to been betrayed so hard. And right there I lost my best friend. So now I had no one.

4th grade we got a new teacher. She tried Really hard to fix the dynamic of our class. Her daughter was in my class too and she arranged that when she would call along the class list for kids to come play at their house she called everyone. That meant me too. So if it wasn't for that I'd probably had been home whole 4th to 6th grade too.

I also stopped crying in general at the age of 8. I have had boyfriends that I'll get to later at some point tell me "yeah I didn't cry from I was 13 till 19-20" and i don't know but I don't feel like that's the same. You're a young adult. Sure it's never healthy to never let yourself feel like that ..but to refer to that being same as a little kid just feels off to me.

It's pretty hard to pin point what this teacher did to me except that one thing. The bi-effects was brutal and I still remember some of them clear as day. It was he'll to have birthdays, not cause I thought no one would come. I knew they would cause their parents would make them. But every day things. I had like the most toys ever. Only cause my parents knew something was wrong and I had no one to play with. My dad have told me he stopped using garlic in the food just so no one would be able to say I smelled bad. I think it broke my dad's heart a lot to vitness it all.

Once I saw a classmate over where I lived. I was a little further out than most so I shined up and thought she was coming to visit me. ...she wasn't. Not sure why ..but I followed her some which she had noticed and remarked on next day we had school. So then I felt even more stupid... lol

We had this big meadow right next to our yard. I used to play on it alone and thinking how much space and so much fun we could have there with the kids from class... but it was basically just me all the time.

In 4th or 5th grade our new teacher decided we needed a girl group to work on the issues that was in the class. We met once a week in the PE hall. Had to work on actually saying Hi to each other when we came to school cause even that wasn't a thing. One day the topic was How to interact on free time after school and what we all could do to make that better. She asked me and I said what I normally did but never got to the point of it not working. "I normally call down the class list and ask if everyone want to come play at my house" she thought it was Great. Only thing was that everyone always said No and we never had play dates at my house. The other girls just looked at me like I was lying my ass off and that didn't really create a bounding experience.

I was good at batting sports. There was one we used to play on PE so that one especially. Had three incidents regarding that that still warm my heart but at the same time I was still too focused on what I didn't have to really take full experience of it.

One was the one only girl that actually always was nice to me called and asked if I wanted to go play. She wasn't going to cause she had a riding class. But she knew I was good and might think it was fun to do something. Thing was that my last name starts with S and hers with W so the call line wasn't supposed to be her calling me. It was someone else that didn't do it.

Second time was one of the twins in a class under mine called and asked if I wanted to come play. I'd thank him today but I don't remember which if the twins it was.

Third time was when I was already there one of the twins (don't remember if same or not) picked me for his team amongst the first. I still kinda beat myself up for saying No. It wasn't that I didn't want to play.. I was just in so much shock.

Don't know how to end this. Life hurts and you need to dare to process it to get anywhere. Maybe I should msg both of the twins and thank them adding that I can't remember which one it was since so many years ago.

I've thanked other people cause of what they've done for me at other points and it feels good. Both to be greatfull and to focus on the good things that been through out times.

I was wondering if anyone could give me some advice. Last week I was involved in a minor car accident. I was at a stop light and the car behind me decided they could not wait and they tried to get by my car to make a left turn. They did not have enough room and scraped against my car with theirs. No one was hurt and no police were called. We pulled over and I got their name, phone number and address. They did not give me their insurance information and said they'd like to settle outside insurance because there are only scratches. I know it was stupid but I said okay. Hi, I am interested in people's views of the following: A friends daughter is 17 and last Friday passed her driving test to much family celebration. She went out driving to see her friends, grandparents, and to get some experience. On the Monday the family tried to get insurance quotes but hadn't made a decision on which one to go with until Tuesday. Tuesday lunch she went out with three girlfriends and lost control of her car. No-one was seriously hurt but there are some stiff necks, bumps and bruises. She rolled the car after losing control over a hump back bridge. No other vehicles were involved but her own car is written off. The Police were called and paramedics. She is still on Provisional Insurance as the call hadn't been made to change the insurance, mum and dad were just moving money about so they can pay. The Police say she wasn't speeding just lacked experience and was taken by surprise on the road in question in the rain. So the questions for them are: 1. What is the legal position? Neither parent is concerned about making an insurance claim or anything like that. It was one of those awful moments in life and they are not interested in the value of the car just the welfare of the girls. 2. What does she have to present to the Police - I think they said that she would have to present her licence? 3. Do the parents have to tell the insurance company if they don't intend to claim? They are very honest people but don't want to do anything that would unnecessarily impact their daughters ability to move forward. 4. What should they do going forward with her?
