#my friends are so smart and capable of so much psychic damage
Professor, what pokemon did you originally go on your first journey with?
Oh, those are some fond memories. When I was growing up my birth region of Johto was recovering some substantial wildfire damage, so I was sent to Kanto for my own journey when I was ten. All the Pokémon who were with me are all still alive and well, though most of them have dropped out of the battling circuit. Not that I battle much at all anymore!
My first Pokémon was Bulbasaur, on the entire boat ride to Kanto I made sure to stay wide awake so sleep wouldn’t hold me back from picking first, just to make sure I got a Bulbasaur. Turns out it probably wouldn’t have mattered as that species wasn’t as popular back then, but I wanted one bad. That Bulbasaur was old Maxwell, my first Pokémon. I thankfully have a small country home in Johto out by the Ilex Forest, but with a rather large yard so I don’t have to worry about space, and most of my Pokémon who aren’t active teammates anymore have that as a base to linger around and roam, including him. Maxwell’s a big lug and he’s really slowed down with his age now, but he’s fiercely loyal. We’ve had good fights together. The window in my study faces my yard, and old Max comes by periodically to rest his face on the windowsill and watch me write reports. He’s near the end of his life, near 70 years, but that old Venusaur has lived a good one and I’m making sure his golden years are comfortable. And that some of the... younger upstart Pokémon I took in give the old man some peace once in a while.
While camping in the Viridian Forest on my first night on the road, a Weedle crawled into my sleeping bag! I was honestly lucky to not get stung by accident thanks to the close quarters, but I figured it was a sign and took him with me. That was Hubert, my now-Beedrill, and though bug types are generally not long lived, Hubert is going on 20 now. Beedrill at their oldest tend to reach mid-thirties, so I have plenty of time with him. Hubert is my ambassador for the greatness of the bug type! Quick evolving bugs like him are often disregarded as beginner species, but he remained on my team as I collected all eight gym badges and contributed a lot. He’s pretty friendly for a Beedrill, but I’ve always made sure he was well socialized. He’s made his nest on the top of my wardrobe and always freaks out visitors because he’s so possessive of me.
In Mt Moon I got lost a lot, like, a LOT thanks to all the twists and turns, but I found a Paras on one dead end I hit. I’d always loved bugs and was in love with those big, cute eyes, so he came with. That was France, the now Parasect still wandering around my house. He’s pretty docile and usually stays inside, but as I warned before, it’s important to watch out for spores with a Parasect in the house. He was a pretty formidable battler for his calm nature, but I think he was happy to leave the battling scene. A lot of trainers who see him get concerned if he’s even alive thanks to all the misinformation about Parasect, but make no mistake, he is alive and fully alert! Lethargy is just part of the symbiotic relationship Parasect share with the mushrooms they carry thanks to a mixture of energy sharing, but most importantly, consistent exposure to sleep-inducing fungal spores.
I remember trading with a boy who was desperate for an Abra because he hated the psychic type he was given and thought it was scary. A Mr Mime! That was Marcel, and he was only 10 when I got him, not to mention most psychic types are super long-lived, so Marcel will be around for a very long time. He might not have liked Marcel, heck, most other trainers my age didn’t like him either when we were around, but Mr Mime has always been my type of Pokémon. I did contests and most prominently theater for a long time, and still do, and have been trained in clowning a lot, so I appreciate such a silly clown Pokémon! Mr Mime are great friends, they’re radically intelligent, you just have to be ready to manage such a smart and often mischievous Pokémon. Marcel has toned down the pranks now since I’ve established countless times I don’t have an appreciation for being tripped over invisible walls, but that doesn’t stop him from pestering other Pokémon sometimes. For all his troublesome behavior and a bit of a rough start with an unappreciative trainer, Marcel was a hard worker during my first journey and he never fails to make me laugh at least once a day.
Then there was Jane, an Elekid I found who washed up on the river by Rock Tunnel, probably from the nearby Power Plant. She was and still is quite the spitfire! Jane isn’t really used on the occasions I do battle, but she hasn’t been dropped from the battling circuit quite yet. I can’t bring myself to evolve her into an Electivire, though. She’s very content as an Electabuzz and I don’t see much of a reason to. Her and Marcel are a bit of a troublemaking duo but I love them both dearly. I do occasionally loan Jane out to people in need of a temporary Pokémon companion for things like trips through treacherous terrain with unfriendly wildlife. It’s good enrichment for her, which she constantly needs. I don’t think I would ever want to raise another Electabuzz, they’re far too high energy for my liking, but Jane is my special exception.
The last of my first Pokémon is actually the only one who’s still in the team I now regularly use for battling on the rare occasions I do it, but mostly for the sake of outings. Post is my Dragonite, which is probably the only Dragon type species I consider myself capable of handling. He‘s a retired mailworker, if you couldn’t guess by the name, haha! That was back when Dragonite were used much more commonly as postal service Pokemon, before breeders from Hoenn helped make the much more efficient Pokemon Pelipper more widely available outside its native region. He’s a kind and gentle soul, as most Dragonite are. There really aren’t many other dragons (besides the lovely Drampa or perhaps some Altaria) that can match Dragonite for its inherent friendly and loving nature. I use him for travel, as he does miss his delivery days, so we both win in that situation. I get a way to travel quickly for my research, and Post gets his exercise!

Flower Child (Peter Parker x ofc)
Chapter 11: Just a Nobody
I’m really sorry I haven’t been consistent in updating on this platform, I think I’ll just mass update on here and catch up to speed? Idk, it’s a lot and again, I’m sorry. I’m trying to find inspiration to write!
warnings: Peter being rude, angst, depictions of anxiety… sorry 😬, mentions of death
The pair of them didn’t leave the greenhouse until midnight that night. Papers had been scattered around a workbench in the greenhouse under a single lamplight, covered in formulas that had been scratched and edited past legibility. Lila and Peter made an incredible team, much to their surprise, and within just a few short hours, a new webbing formula had been made.
Peter also walked her home, despite Lila reassuring him that he didn’t have to. He merely brushed off her attempts and bid her goodnight at her door. And despite the crazy events, like her almost dying, she went to bed with a smile on her face. Her crush was a superhero, how could she not?
When she went to school the next day, Lila was tired but cheerful. A light kind of air sat in her chest and put her in a good mood, even with the whispers of what happened the day before following her to her locker. She supposed the feeling of falling in an elevator made things like school more enjoyable since they were a part of living, but she attributed her happiness mostly to the two boys who walked quickly over to her locker as soon as they saw her.
“Hey, Lila,” Peter said, lips twitching in a nervous smile.
“Hey, guys, what’s-?”
“So you know?” Both Lila and Peter looked to Ned, whose expression was unreadable. “About-“ His voice lowered into a whisper, “-Peter’s sticky situation?”
A patch of red grew on the boy in question’s face, and he sent an exasperated stare his friend’s way. “Dude, come on, at least think of a better code name.”
“So you know?” Ned asked Lila again, to which she nodded apprehensively. Her eyes flickered to Peter, who offered an apologetic shrug. When she looked back to Ned again, he looked relieved. “Finally. I’ve really needed this, I didn’t know how much longer I could keep it a secret-“
“Ned,” Peter said, “You found out last week.”
“- I thought I was gonna blow it, but I didn’t. And now I can talk to you about how totally amazing this is.” Ned inhaled deeply, launching into a slew of questions. “So how did you know it was him? Are you psychic? Did you psychically connect to Peter, and that’s how he saved your life? Do you have, like, a spider-link now?”
“N-No, it wasn’t anything like that,” Lila answered him, Peter giving her a thankful look that she interrupted Ned’s questioning. She tucked her hair behind her ear before continuing, “Peter disappearing the night before, y-you having the Ch-Chitauri core, and - and the Stark Internship. Just… a lot of it d-didn’t add up.” Lila looked around them to see Michelle walk through the front doors. “Look, I’d b-better go before MJ gets suspicious but I’ll see you guys for fourth.”
Peter and Ned said their goodbyes while Lila walked down the hallway to her friend. Before she could reach MJ, however, Lila was stopped by Betty Brant, who had a fiercely determined look on her face. “Lila,” she practically addressed, her tone was so formal.
“B-Betty,” Lila swallowed, raising her eyebrows in surprise. “Wh-What’s up?”
“Midtown is running a story on the survivors of the almost-tragic Washington Monument scare yesterday. I need to know that you’ll be available for lunch to answer a few questions with the rest of your team. I would do it now, but I don’t have my co-host.” The last sentence ended with a note of bitterness, and Lila tilted her head in concern.
“Oh n-no, where’s - where’s Jason?”
Betty rolled her eyes, “His mom called him out of first period for some stupid dentist appointment and wouldn’t cancel. I’ve told him time and time again that his mom doesn’t understand how brutally competitive journalism can get in the age of technology.” Her eyes narrowed at the apparently sour thought. “Like, she doesn’t even know how embarrassing it was to see Principal Morita’s fall after the floors were waxed with new wax on Flash’s Snapchat story first. That should’ve been our story, but no, Jason had strep throat.” Her tone grew mocking and she put air quotes around “strep throat”. There was a beat of silence, and then, “Anyways, so I’ll see you at lunch?”
At this point, Lila had been daydreaming of a way to get out of the heated one-sided argument. “Sure.”
Satisfied, Betty nodded. “Good. And don’t talk to anyone else about what happened.” She strode away, leaving Lila feeling slightly confused as she walked over to where MJ was standing, watching the whole interaction.
*****
It didn’t go unnoticed that Lila was becoming fast friends with Peter and Ned. Soon enough, in the span of the next two days, they popped up nearly everywhere in her daily life. For some, it was a welcome addition to Lila’s friend count (now up to three). For others, it was a topic of slight confusion.
“I’m not, like, unhappy for you or anything,” Sophie commented one evening in the flower shop. She was watching Peter and Ned leave through the front doors, the cooler air from the outside falling at their feet. “I just didn’t know you were so close.”
Lila and the boys had just brought over some chemicals they’d nicked from school, and finally perfected the stronger webbing for Peter. It was all discreetly put away in a box tucked underneath spare gardening supplies. The box in question was placed in a corner, out of sight and hopefully out of anyone else’s minds that weren’t Peter’s, Lila’s, or Ned’s.
The door had shut by the time Lila turned back to Sophie, a light blush on her cheeks. “Falling in an e-elevator is a surprisingly easy way to m-make friends.” The flicker of suspicion in Sophie’s eyes disappeared almost immediately at Lila’s reply, and for a moment, Lila had the gut-twisting sensation of guilt. It was confusing: she wasn’t actually lying to Sophie, but she was hiding the truth. Plummeting to her death with Ned by her side did craft a strong foundation of friendship at a remarkably fast rate. And being one of about four people who knew Peter’s secret identity also warranted spending more time together than what was considered normal. Only, she couldn’t tell anyone that last part.
Lila hated that her cover story for spending time around the two boys was her near-death experience, but even she couldn’t deny its effectiveness. Sophie stopped asking questions after her comment, and soon started addressing them with the same familiarity as she would Michelle or her dad.
Michelle, whose skepticism came as easy as breathing, wasn’t as easy to persuade. MJ knew Ned was in the elevator with Lila, and her interest in them hanging out didn’t extend farther than a simple statement of, “Ned needs to download the free VPNs I sent you. I don’t want my network data accidentally getting monitored by the government because he’s using the WiFi at your shop.” Which was fine with Lila, Ned would be one less thing to worry about in regards to her most perceptive friend.
However, with Ned deemed not a problem, MJ’s wariness was focused on Peter. If she thought he was sketchy before, it was nothing compared to how she felt after he started to hang out with Lila. Michelle wasn’t much for holding a conversation with people she didn’t know, but the times where she did talk to Peter, it almost always was staged as interrogation. Lila felt sorry for Peter, for she knew MJ was intimidating, and too smart for her own good. She also knew that Michelle’s intention was a heavily-veiled protectiveness for her friend.
Ted Landry seemed to be the only person in Lila’s life who wasn’t suspicious of her new friends. In fact, he was completely clueless. Peter being around Lila more was merely a correlation to him personally checking on her the night she got back from D.C. The worst part was that Ted told Lila that the reason Peter was starting to be around her so much was because he had a crush on her.
“It just seems kind of obvious,” Ted said, ignoring the choking noises Lila emitted after hearing her dad’s thoughts. He merely patted her on the back as she tried to dislodge the granola that she accidentally sent down the wrong pipe. “I practically did the same thing with your mom, we became inseparable.”
Lila wished above all that her dad’s thoughts were the truth. But the brief look in Peter’s eyes that appeared whenever Liz walked by the three of them in the school’s hallways sent those thoughts crawling on all fours to the back of her mind.
*****
Over the next few days, Lila grew privy to the information Peter was gathering over the last week as Spider-Man. It all started with the bank robbers that accidentally decimated Delmar’s bodega, which Lila learned were capable of doing so with the acquisition of illegal weapons. Weapons that happened to have access to alien technology.
Peter and Ned explained that someone was stealing alien technology and fashioning weapons to distribute on the black market. Their target was Damage Control, whose existence was to be the clean-up crew of the Avengers.
“For lack of a better term,” Peter went on, fiddling with the screwdriver in his hand. That Wednesday evening, Peter had Ned and Lila over after he had perused the streets of Queens as Spider-Man. It was then the two boys filled Lila in on their mission. “But basically this department’s been confiscating all the alien tech and Ultron mess for the past eight years. And the helicarriers in Washington? They’re still working on that stuff.”
“And this guy in the wingsuit… the birdman?” Lila asked, trying to keep up with the nearly unbelievable tale.
A spark emitting from one of Peter’s web shooters had him diving back with his screwdriver. Ned, meanwhile, took the reigns. “We’re pretty sure he’s their leader. But they’ve got this stuff nearly on lockdown. Peter figures he must’ve been doing it from the beginning.”
Lila looked back over to Peter, “Do you know who he is? O-Or any kind of clue?”
The web shooter made a clicking noise that seemed to satisfy Peter. He turned away from his desk and set his eyes back on Lila. Shaking his head, he answered, “No, I’ve got no idea. And he got away with some of the stuff that was in the Damage Control trucks. Best guess, I’ll just have to catch them when they’re out selling this stuff again.” He paused, eyebrows furrowed in concentration. And after a moment, he added as an afterthought, “You didn’t happen to catch what Puth assigned for homework, did you? I wasn’t paying attention.”
“Peter, dinner’s on the table - Lila!” May poked her head inside Peter’s door. Lila whipped her head around to see her large grin, and heard Peter hastily slam his desk drawer shut to hide his web shooters. “I had no idea you were here!”
“Hi, May,” Lila smiled, a pale pink dusting her cheeks. “H-How are things?”
“Finer than wine, honey. I feel so bad, I would’ve made more food if I’d’ve known you guys were going to be here.” Her lips pursed briefly as an afterthought came to mind. “Actually, it might be better if you guys hit the road.”
Peter stared at his aunt exasperatedly, “Oh, c’mon May-“
“Uh-uh,” her expression was suddenly stern when her eyes fell on him, “If you’re going to ditch class, then you’re not going to have friends over.” She softened her gaze when she moved back over to Lila and Ned. “You guys need a ride home?”
Lila grabbed her backpack, eyeing Peter and feeling confused. Why would he ditch class? Peter’s eyes met hers before answering her with a jerk of the head to his desk, where the web shooters lay hidden.
“No,” Lila finally answered, brushing off Peter’s answer with a wave of dismay. “N-No, thanks. My neighborhood’s just f-five blocks over.”
*****
Betty Brant released her story on Thursday morning. Apparently Jason actually did have a pretty awful tooth infection, and wasn’t able to co-anchor her story until then. When Lila walked into school, the conversation, which had just begun to die down, picked right back up, and attention was back on the academic decathlon.
Everyone at Midtown pretty much knew of Lila and her inability to confidently socialize with peers, but that didn’t stop them from pointing at her while poorly concealing whispers. So she was left to navigate the crowded hallways alone, doing her best to ignore the eyes that followed her and the sounds of the news story reporting on her brush with death. One thing she did manage to catch was Jason saying, “Thankfully, no one was seriously injured, thanks to Spider-Man. Up next, the Spider mania is sweeping the school, how can you show your Spider spirit?”
And Jason wasn’t wrong. The talk of Spider-Man was re-invigorated at the school news’ story, and if they weren’t talking about the decathlon team, they were talking about Spider-Man. Some people wore shirts they bought from street vendors, and talked about how amazing he was. Flash was the biggest proponent of this, boasting about how Spider-Man made a harrowing rescue, pulling Flash out of harm’s way just in time, and giving him a fist bump right afterwards. All of which was untrue, and Charles and Abraham we’re glad to remind everyone around Flash of the fact.
Lila felt a deep sense of pride as she made her way down the stairs and past the mural. She knew Peter must’ve been at school, and hearing all of the positive thoughts everyone had on his secret identity. She could feel it in the air: pride. A sense of pride that one of New York’s own was a hero, a champion of Queens. Even Lila herself felt that pride, but for other reasons entirely.
She ran into Ned first, who was beaming at the television screen in the corner of the hall. The two of them shared a knowing smile, and the pair launched into a quiet conversation about it in the otherwise loud hallways. Ned spotted Peter ahead of the two of them, and pushed around the students in his way. He and Lila met Peter at the foot of the stairs, all three grinning from ear to ear.
“Dude, dude, dude, what is it like being famous when no one knows it’s you?” Ned asked.
Rather modestly, Peter smiled and gripped the straps of his backpack. “It’s crazy,” he whispered, looking around to make sure other people weren’t listening.
“Crazy,” Ned repeated, almost in awe. “Should we tell everyone?”
Peter still smiled, but his head tilted a little in confusion, “No.”
“Should I tell everyone?”
“No, dude, that’s not a good idea.”
Ned looked to Lila, “Lila could tell everyone.”
“I-I would not,” Lila said, briefly panicked. She felt better seeing Peter let out a breathy laugh. “Really, I w-wouldn’t do it.”
Ned sighed, his hopes dashed. “Well, come on, we’re gonna be late to class.”
Lila was prepared to bid them goodbye, since their classes were on opposite sides of the hallway, but Peter didn’t follow Ned. “I’m not going to class.”
Ned looked at Lila and looked back, apprehensive, “You're already in so much trouble for ditching the decathlon-“
“P-Peter, you can’t keep d-ditching school-“
“Would you listen? I figured it out, right?” Peter’s voice dropped to a whisper. “I’m going to see if my suit can go back to the deal I walked in on the night of Liz’s party and find out where those guys came from. Maybe they can lead me to the wing suit guy, and then I can catch him!”
“But we have a Spanish quiz,” Ned argued.
Peter looked at Ned with an expression that felt a little belittling. He was tired of arguing and clearly didn’t see why Ned and Lila would want him to stay in school. It was a kind of reckless determination that didn’t sit well with Lila at all. “Ned, I’m probably never going to come back here. Mr. Stark is moving the Avengers upstate. So, when I bring this guy in-“
“Dude,” All the excitement from the morning was gone from Ned. “You wanna be a high school dropout?”
“It wouldn’t be like that,” Peter assured him, even though that’s exactly what it sounded like.
“Ned’s right, Peter, you can’t - you can’t just skip school t-to fight crime. High school’s important-“
But Peter wasn’t listening. In fact, he started walking away. “I am so far beyond high school, right now.” And as he turned to a pair of doors that led to the exit, Principal Morita stood in his way.
“Ah, Mr. Parker,” he said, already walking back down the hallway. “Come with me, my office. Ned, Lila, get to class.”
*****
“Here, c’mon,” MJ pulled at Lila’s arm. The girls had a free period, and usually spent it in the library. Lila has fully planned on spending it pretending to do her homework when in actuality she was just going to worry about Peter.
Skipping school just wasn’t like him. Lila thought he was getting caught up in his situation. True, it was extraordinary beyond belief, and there was no way to tell how she would handle it, but she thought Peter had more grit than what he was showing. School was important, almost if not equally as important as the crime Peter fought in the afternoons.
And then there was the issue of Tony Stark, and Peter’s idea of where he stood. Peter had the mindset that he had to prove himself to Tony Stark in order to be fully accepted into a world he’d always dreamt of, but that made little sense to Lila. In her mind, Tony Stark already was accepting of Peter. If he wasn’t, he wouldn’t have given Peter the suit.
Those were the thoughts Lila distracted herself with in her first two periods, anyway. She’d planned on delving further into her worry during her free time next period. That is, until MJ changed their plans. “And where are we going?” Lila asked, allowing herself to be steered by her taller friend.
“I’ve been sketching the kids in detention,” she answered, ”Lila, they’re the perfect inspiration: they basically all just sit and wonder if they’re lives are going to spiral out of control. Like first, it’s detention, next it’s prison. I mean, you can’t get that kind of raw panic anywhere else.”
“I’m slightly worried you seem so excited about this,” Lila muttered, filing into the classroom where detention was being held. Coach Wilson was already perched at the desk, the TV on the stand waiting to play the Captain America tape that was at the ready. Michelle sat at the edge of the classroom, and Lila sat with her, already pulling out her homework.
She thought she got a few odd stares from the one or two kids that were further in the room, since Lila had never been in any kind of trouble in her life. Even though her presence wasn’t mandatory, she was still unsettled at the thought of being so close to a trouble she had no interest in ever being a part of. She only felt slightly better when Peter walked through the door as the bell rang. He eyed her suspiciously, and seemingly answered his own question when his gaze slid over to Michelle, who was already sketching away.
Peter looked antsy. Sitting in his seat, Lila could see the tension in his shoulders as Coach Wilson lazily went over the rules of detention from his desk chair. He proceeded to play the clip of Captain America lecturing the kids in detention, but Lila could tell Peter wasn’t taking in a word of it. She was considering shooting him a text when suddenly he shot up and grabbed his backpack. He marched out of the room without another word.
After a moment’s hesitation, Lila made the decision to go after him. She told Michelle she’d be right back and hurried after her friend. When she caught up to him, he’d reached the row of lockers where he hid things and lifted it one-handed. Despite her worry, Lila watched him in awe, having to take a second to adjust to the fact that he did actually have super strength.
When the moment ended, her sense caught up to her. “Peter!” She called out, jogging the rest of the way up to him. He turned, impatience dotting across his features. “You can’t go.”
“Lila, I don’t have time-“
“But you do,” She insisted. “Y-You do have time. You can’t just - just leave.”
“Yes, I can,” Peter actually rolled his eyes. It stung Lila more than she thought it would. “Look, you don’t understand, I’ve gotta do this for Mr. Stark. Now, I’ve really gotta go.”
He tried to turn away, but in a bold move, Lila grabbed his arm, “T-Tony Stark is a c-certified genius, and even he stayed in school. Why can’t you?”
“Because when the Avengers move upstate, I’ve gotta be there. The best school I could have would be by learning from him. Who knows, maybe - maybe I’ll get a tutor or something-“
“P-Peter, you’re chasing a-approval from someone who already gave it to you. I mean - look at what y-you’ve already done. The whole school’s b-been talking about it for the entire w-week.”
“Lila,” irritation at still being in school was what made Peter grow short. Lila flinched at the tone. “You don’t get it. I can do so much more if he could just see it, that’s why I’ve gotta go.”
“You do so much, Peter. You - you saved my life twice-“
Peter snapped, “Lila, stop. I’ve made up my mind. I can’t just be Peter Parker anymore, you know? I finally have a chance to prove that I’m so much more than just a nobody now. Because while that might be fine for you, it’s not for me.” The words left his mouth harsh and bitter before his mind could even keep up. Peter didn’t even realize what he’d said until he watched Lila take a step back.
White hot anger burned her skin and flushed her face. Hurt came quickly after, and Lila blinked furiously to stop the tears from rushing to the surface. She released a short breath and made eye contact with Peter. He felt bad, she could tell, but he didn’t offer any kind of apology.
So much for being friends.
“You w-wonder what that life is like, Peter? Being an - an Avenger?” Her voice was quiet, more quiet than normal, but the emotion seemed to amplify it down the empty hallways. “I’ll t-tell you. It’s staring d-down at people who are dead for the sole r-reason that pure evil just likes it that way. It’s being unable to s-save the people you love most, and l-living with that when all is said and - and done.”
“Lila, I-“
She angrily brushed the lone tear away that managed to escape. “You wanna hear wh-what I think? I think that if - if Tony Stark wanted you to b-be like him, he would’ve given you an I-Iron Man suit. Instead he gave you the Spider-Man suit. But what do I know, r-right? I’m just a nobody.” She gave Peter, the boy who broke her heart, one last look. “Good luck out there.”
And she turned around, walking away from Peter Parker with a few tears falling down her face.

Stranger Things Character Study
*Not all of these will line up with the transits of the early/mid 80s but this is just my interpretation, not a canon analysis, so it doesn’t really matter.
Mike: Cancer sun & Mars, possibly air moon or Mercury Extremely emotional, lets his emotions rule him & behaves based on them with little foresight. Caring, protective; sun probably conjuncts Mars because he always tries to assume the “leader” position. Can rationalize his way through everything, actually very intelligent but often blinded by feelings. This would also allow his sun to trine a few of Will’s Pisces placements, which explains their intimate & special bond -- they’re the closest of the whole group.
Dustin: Gemini sun, Libra moon contacting Neptune, fire Mars Very curious, full of wonder and intrigue. Can under- or over-estimate the severity of situations. Gets lost in his fantasies and makes mistakes because of it. He keeps everyone together, reduces conflicts, often the voice of reason, guiding others in the right direction but failing to do so for himself. Funny as hell. Can be impulsive, immature, out of control, but VERY courageous. Sensitive.
Lucas: Virgo sun, Aquarius moon, intercepted Aries Mars Aggressively independent, feels uncomfortable in the hierarchy of his friend group and strives for more power out of insecurity or self-righteousness but ultimately fails to achieve it. Cautious and careful, very logical, thinks about the bigger picture, keeps others grounded in reality. Gives up easily but often bounces back stronger than before. Learns his lessons quickly.
Will: Aries sun, Pisces Rising & Mercury, Pluto in the 12th house It is mentioned that his birthday is March 22nd, which is in Aries season. It’s difficult to apply that to him (besides when it comes to his strong instinctual and self-defensive nature) so perhaps his sun is afflicted or intercepted. He looks very Piscean, often lost inside his head, absorbs all the energy that surrounds him, he has one foot on earth and the other in a supernatural plane, elusive and hard to protect, very vulnerable. He speaks poetically, through feeling and sense and emotion. Pluto in the 12th can describe the violation and trauma and danger he has endured in the “upside down” and how it’s hard for him to escape it; he will live with that trauma for the rest of his life, those wounds permeated his soul and he has been irrevocably changed (and damaged).
Jane (Eleven): Aquarius sun, Pisces moon, Scorpio Mars, Saturn & Neptune in the 1st house Extremely sensitive, but very in control of herself, often to the point of repression which erupts eventually in violence and chaos. Caring, altruistic, self-sacrificing, struggling to find herself and secure a solid identity in the face of all the threats that surround her. Defiant, stubborn, evasive. Afraid and confused but immensely powerful, with otherworldly strength & capabilities. Psychic. Strong morals hidden under identity confusion and pain. (Possibly also has Pluto in the 4th house themes, corruption and abuse in the childhood which permeates her psychological roots, giving her horrible trauma/complexes but unbelievable power at the same time. Everyone tries to tell her where “home” is and control or manipulate her with that concept but she can’t be controlled, she is entirely the maker and destroyer of her own inner home, no one can “own” her.)
Maxine: Leo sun, Aries moon, Mars in the 3rd/4th, sun in 12th Rude, selfish, extremely defensive and insecure. Just wants to be included. Experiences violence and hatred from her step-sibling (3rd) / in her home life (4th) which she projects onto others in the form of harsh words and mean-spirited actions. Prone to escapism and evasive behavior. Sensitive. Can be very brave, caring, selfless, and incredibly capable when she finds the will to be.
Jonathan: Pisces sun, Aquarius moon, Virgo Mars So sensitive and fragile, passive but stoic, able to endure so much heartache. Very self-sacrificial, never puts himself first. Knows he is strange and accepts it, doesn’t identify with the mainstream. Creative, healing, attentive. May also have the sun or Saturn in the 12th house (to represent an absent father).
Nancy: Taurus sun, Virgo moon contacting Mars & Uranus, Aries Venus Smart and capable, but doubts her abilities and doesn’t know where to apply them until it comes to the context of survival and justice. Finds her strength in independence and determination. Self-unaware, typically in control of herself but can become impulsive and reckless due to low self-esteem or a sense of being lost. Fights her own desires, can be arrogant and selfish.
Steve Libra sun, Virgo moon, possibly Leo Rising, Scorpio influence somewhere Flirtatious, charming, good-natured, kind of oblivious sometimes. Very respectful and responsible, careful, attentive. Prone to compromise, puts the needs and desires of those he cares about far above his own -- self-sacrificing and brave in that way, may silence his needs/feelings and become private through self-disowning or repression. Can be selfish but it is quickly outgrown when he realizes the severity of the situation. His self-assertions aren’t taken seriously.
Jim Hopper: Scorpio sun, Sagittarius moon & Mars, Capricorn Venus Cunning, powerful, intelligent, capable, experienced, wise. Deeply loving & giving but can be irreverent, arrogant, aggressive, and overestimating of himself. Often hypocritical in the sense that he demands others’ respect but rarely returns it. Strong instincts & intuition. Empathetic with solid principles & values, but can be harsh, dominating, dismissive, and stubborn. Wants to protect others and has the conviction and passion to do so.
Joyce Byers: Cancer sun, Leo moon, very strong moon/Cancer/4th house energy Often hysterically emotional, over-protective, dramatic, anxious, deeply invested in those whom she loves to the point of being excessively expressive of it. Kind, warm, a very good mother, powerful maternal instincts, giving, brave, compassionate, affectionate. Determined, powerful when it counts most.
Murray Bauman: Capricorn sun, Aquarius moon & Mercury & Rising, Mercury in the 1st house A genius madman; an absolute weirdo, but intelligent, devoted, witty, quirky, and invested in the truth. Sees right through people. Know-it-all.
Billy: Leo sun, Aries moon, Saturn in the 12th trine/square Mars in 4th Controlling, violent, arrogant, over-aggressive, threatening, cruel, imposing, self-absorbed, narcissistic, and ALL of this is in response to abuse received from his father which creates horrible insecurities and a feeling of being unsafe at all times. When his ego, autonomy, and safety are threatened, he internalizes it and it explodes later in a recycling/redirection of abuse, and fabricated confidence. He relies on a false sense of dominance and attractiveness in order to cope with what he experiences from his father. He represses all his pain.
Bob: Cancer/moon, Gemini/Mercury influence and a LOT of 7th house energy Incredibly smart, caring, and jovial but painfully “uncool” and awkward. A bit oblivious at times. “Embarrassing dad” stereotype.

Year 2: Summer Brief - Cognitivation: Enemies and Wildlife Design
One of the most endearing parts of Earthbound was it’s enemy design and feel. Since it’s set in the modern world, no longer are you fighting dragons or demons or little blob creatures, instead you arm yourselves up with a baseball bat, grab your favourite hat and start knocking out Runaway Dogs and Spiteful Crows!
Tumblr media
When you go into the next town, you’ll run into New Age Retro Hippies who may bash into you carelessly, Cranky Old Ladies that swing their bags at you for massive damage and Annoying Revelers that spend a turn to grumble about today’s youth!
Tumblr media
The enemies encountered on your way between towns are more than likely going to be some kind of little everyday creature that we can encounter in everyday life. Just a little more dangerous to our heroes! Enemies are made to fit their environments. Caves are the home to moles or mushrooms or ants, while the deserts are open to scorpions and snakes!
Tumblr media
Of course, this isn’t the only kind of enemies that are affected by Giygas’ influence. Giygas of course has his own henchmen that wield the very psychic powers that you have been using!
Tumblr media
And finally, perhaps the most iconic of Giygas’ henchmen. Complete with a simple, sleek design that easily establishes their authority and position in the Giygas hierarchy. The many classes of the Starmen provide for some of the most challenging battles in the game.
Tumblr media
So, as you can see, the enemy design of Earthbound is absolutely fascinating. They establish a mood in the battle with either their goofy designs or gestures or make you feel uneasy and maybe that the battle will be too much to handle! They all appear in the appropriate places, you don’t get a Starman just wondering the streets of Ness’ hometown at the start of the game. You don’t get scorpions in water. Every location was thought about clearly and the appropriate enemies were placed into them.
Although, not all of the enemies are based off of objects, I really liked that aspect of Earthbound. Like just an everyday object that can be turned into a weapon or a menacing little enemy to fight. So much so, that I messaged a few of my friends and asked them to give me an object and from their suggestions, I generated these little characters in the spirit of Earthbound.
Series 1 - Cognitivation Enemies
Tumblr media
From left to right we have: - Sock (Suggested by Alex) - Chicken Wing (Suggested by Nathan) - Gooch (Suggested by Keanu) - Keychain (Suggested by Kyle) - Vase of Flowers (Suggested by Joe) - Spliff (Suggested by Matty)
For this series, I knew I wanted to have some weird looking enemies and rather than forcing the ideas to come, I simply asked around and got some pretty nice results from their suggestions! We’ll start things off with Sock.
The Sock of Suffering crawls out!
Tumblr media
The Sock of Suffering is a sock that was influenced by the Enigma, gaining consciousness and becoming aware of what it is! Waking up in a draw of someone’s room, it becomes too aware and wants it’s pain to end!
Typically found in messy rooms of people that don’t care for themselves, the Sock generally hids out of the way of people, only encounter-able in dark places. Once found, the Sock shall begin to scream in an attempt to warn off it’s predators. Generating a thick saliva that it’ll shoot out to poison it’s opponent! Though, that is the extent of it’s combat abilities.
Many breeds of this sock exists, coming in all different sizes and colours! Most definitely not available in a store near you.... Or maybe they are?
The Scalding Chicken Wing bursts in!
Tumblr media
A chicken prophet, prays to it’s god before it’s sacrifice, dousing itself in hot sauce it prays for a fire based attack to land! Once it does, it’s power transcends that of a normal chicken! It’s emotional stability goes out the window! Gaining access to the most offensive and potent Fire attacks known to all PSI users!
These can typically be found in Fast Food stores after being greased up in a fryer! The chickens they come from can be found on the farms of the eastern sides of the island, they all pray to the one true lord; Colonel Sanders and pray that their sacrifice will not be in vain! It will use different sauces to enhance it’s capabilities in battle! Although, if it’s paired with a hungry teammate, they may just tuck into it! No matter how hot the chicken wing may be!
The main inspiration for the Chicken Wing’s design was actually hot sauce. Like how hot it can actually be and how it might make you react in pain or anger.
The Armoured Gooch rolls up from behind!
Tumblr media
One of the objects that cropped up that was not made from Enigma’s influence, instead they were sent by Enigma itself to patrol the world and keep guard at certain areas of interest! The Armoured Gooch rolls around, it’s face smushed inside it’s tough armour. It’s defences are high, but lacks an offensive front. It’s not powerful or smart enough to handle PSI based attacks, so it usually rolls into it’s foes.
Wherever Enigma has infected, Gooches will be patrolling the place making sure nobody intrudes. Abandoned factories, city halls, etc. They tend to initiate battle by sneaking up behind it’s opponents, getting the jump on them! Armoured Gooches generally don’t work in teams due to their sheer incompetence, their allies will tend to flee from the battle only to get away from the Gooch!
This is only the basic Armoured Gooch, many breeds exist with many different armour sets to distinguish their ranks. This blue colour being the second to lowest rank.
The Body-building Keychain swings his keys!
Tumblr media
Found abandoned on the streets, this little toy bear keychain had to learn to fend for himself the hard way. Being thrown into it’s situation and linked to a heavy set of keys, the Keychain got sick of it and worked on himself. Transforming him into the Body-building Keychain! A tough, hench little bear who wield his set of keys. Throwing them into opponent or stabbing at them with the keys themselves. It’d probably be more effective if he was bigger than a keychain...
These critters are typically found in abandoned streets or fairgrounds where prizes like these keychains are likely to be.
The Dooming Bloom... Blooms!
Tumblr media
An experiment given life, the Dooming Bloom are a team of three flowers trapped together in a vase! Their absurdly long necks and hefty bodies aren’t a good match as they can’t really stand up on their own, plus they can’t survive without being in water! Much like a normal flower!
The three flowers all represent their life cycle, left is them coming into bloom, a little tired and low energy since they haven’t reached their own potential yet.
Whereas the middle is the happiest little chappie alive! Wearing a big innocent smile, they only want the best in life and tries to pursue every dream they’ve ever had.... Too bad they’re all evil plots to destroy orphanages, cause nationwide pandemics and leave scathing reviews on upcoming movies before they come out! So, don’t feel bad when this guy dies....
The Mean Green lights it up!
Tumblr media
This shifty character is the Mean Green! The Sinister Minister! A devious figure that was created out of Enigma’s own imagination to go down to Earth and unleashing his devious deeds upon hopeless people. Mean Green sells a lot of illegal merchandise that does more harm than good, since it’s corrupting the people of the Earth and letting Enigma take control of their minds!
Working from the shadows in big cities, he’s got a lot of the criminal underworld now on his side. With knowledge of the entire city layout, he knows everywhere to hide and everywhere that’s perfect for operating his plans...
Helping to Develop the World
When it comes to developing stories with deeper narratives, I tend to stick to a very loose plan so that if I develop something I can usually add it in easily without having to majorly change anything. And with designing these creatures first, it gives me a feel of what the world will be like. What locations and challenges can our heroes face?
Maybe they go to an Amusement Park, fighting strong keychains and scalding chicken wings! Maybe they have to venture into the deepest parts of the city to stop Mean Green’s evil schemes!
Not only that, but it’s a lot of fun to look at an object and see how it can be turned into a mean little character that can pack a punch!

(Little!Kid Tsuki anyone?~
Too say Koschei was excited would be an understatement; it was after his first trip to Earth, a big deal for a child of Gallifrey. He’d been to other places of course;  it was a tradition of sorts for his family to go on trips every few months for a variety of reasons. His father after all had no trouble getting permission being part of the Council and all. But this was Earth; he wasn’t yet old enough to be initiated as a potential Time Lord after all and thus not yet in the Academy that all young Time Lords must attend, but he overheard the stories from the older children and the adults about the beautiful blue planet inhabited by beings so like them. Humans he believed he had heard they were called, humans with their shorter lives and one heart; to think he’d soon see one, many, for himself; he couldn’t even sleep from how excited he was. All night he ran around, telling his nanny every little thing he knew about Earth over and over, reading all his books on the subject repeatedly in preparation until morning came and his mother and father found him fast asleep, curled up on the ground wearing his favorite robes and clenching a book in one hand and his toy sonic screwdriver in the other. He came to a while later, awoken by the all-too-familiar sound of machinery whirring, soft voices murmuring, and footsteps going back and forth; he was lying on the couch in the console room, still holding the screwdriver, and could see his parents hard at work at the consoles, flying the Tardis, making sure they arrived where and when they wanted to. And for a second they seemed to stop, side by side, and his father touched his mother’s hand and both smiled but Koschei didn’t care; he closed his eyes again, resolving to sleep more. He didn’t understand why the two were doing that but he figured it was a grown-up thing and he didn’t need to know either. When next he woke up it was because his mother was shaking him slightly, gentling calling out his name. He whined a bit and rubbed his eyes with the back of his hand as he got up; his mother smiled and stroked his hair lovingly, “Good boy, now come on, we’ve landed.” Hearing that he immediately awoke completely and she chuckled, watching as her young son jumped up and grabbed her hands in his and pulled her towards the door, “Momma, let’s go see!” Mother and child left through the door, followed soon by his father, the Council member shrugging at his son’s childishness with a small smile. The Tardis, hiding itself as a rather cozy looking loft, had parked itself between two other homes on a nice little street; Koschei looked around but saw no others on the street, yet he could hear voices and laughter with his Time Lord senses. He pouted then noticed the gates on the other side of the street, surrounding what seemed to be a forest; it was from there that the voices seemed to be coming. A smile crossed his face and he let go of his mother, running over to the gates; she frowned and moved to stop him but her husband grabbed her arm, shaking his head, “Let him, he’ll be fine; it’s just an Earth park. Beside’s he’s smart enough to avoid danger.” She looked at him, seeming concerned, but she sighed and nodded, “Of course.” “Now come on, let’s go take a look around ourselves; can’t let Kos have all the fun,” he told her with another smile, offering his arm to her; she smiled as well and took it, the two going off to do some exploring of their own. Koschei stared around him with wide eyes, clinging to his toy screwdriver tightly, standing totally still; upon getting past the gates and further into the “forest” he found himself in a place that to him seemed like some sort of paradise. All around were people like him but obviously not Gallifreyans; they dressed differently, not in robes but simple shirts and pants and the like. There were plenty of adults but far more children, little kids his age or younger or older. He looked around himself, staring as they all laughed and ran around, chasing each other or being chased; one such kid knocked into him and Koschei blinked, turning to look before hearing laughter again. And it was not kind, “Hey look what we have here; a boy in a dress.” Turning back around he was faced with three other boys; all three were notably bigger than him, but as he was considerably smaller than most kids even on Gallifrey this was not much an achievement. One seemed to be the obvious leader, a pudgy sort of child with a squished face, looking none too intelligent but obviously capable of causing serious harm to Koschei; behind him stood two more rather unsavory examples of humanity, one tall and skinny for his age with buck teeth and the other with a mass of curls and a rat-like look in his eyes. The leader sneered at Koschei and stepped closer to him, further making the size difference obvious, “Look at that hair too, so stupid and girly.” “Yeah stupid,” the tall one mimicked, he and the curly one starting to circle Koschei. “Stupid?” The Time Child was bothered; his hair wasn’t stupid, people always used to tell him and his parents how beautiful it was, with its silky dark brown locks, slightly curled and going just past his ears to frame an innocent and sweet sort of face. He frowned lightly, about to complain when he got pushed and fell to the ground with a thud; the boys laughed and their leader spoke again, “Oh look, he even falls over like a girl!” Koschei sniffled and pursed his lips a bit, speaking with a slight shake to his voice, one that he didn’t particularly like, “I-I do not…” “Oi did we ask for your opinion, girly boy?” With that the boy kicked him and Koschei let out a tiny cry; the other two joined in and soon enough he was curled up, hands over his head. Laughter and pain, it surrounded him and frankly frightened him; he was used to bullying, they did it to him at home too because he was smaller, because he was smarter, because he was too nice. It hurt though and he hoped that if he just stayed like that, curled up, they’d stop; they’d get bored and stopped. They always did back home. “Oi! Let him go!” Another voice called out, far different than the three boys; higher pitch meant a female, she sounded demanding but in a particularly bad way. After all she was asking for his release from this pain; the kicks stopped and the leader spoke again, “Why should we?” “Cuz otherwise I’ll have to make you,” said the female voice and the sound of footsteps came closer. The boys started to step back and then ran away; Koschei didn’t move for a few minutes until finally he felt safe. Then he uncurled and slowly got up, shyly taking a look at his apparent savior. As he thought it was a girl; she looked to be no older than six, with black hair that hung over her shoulder in a braid. She wore an actual dress, not a rode like his clothes, blue in color with two little pockets on the front and going to her feet in their sneakers. A toy sword was in one hand which was also bandaged up and she had a bandaid on her left cheek. Innocent and kind looking red eyes stared at him, blinking, watching him; he stared back in return and for a moment they were both quiet then she beamed at him, smiling brightly and went over to him; he took notice of her almost tripping over her own feet and nearly jumped when she offered her free hand to him, “You okay now?” He looked at her hand, not responding or moving for a moment then hesitantly nodded, reaching out to take her hand, “Yeah, fine…” “Good!” she said smiling at him and helped him up; looking over the clothes he wore, the girl didn’t speak for a moment and he worried for a second that she’d tease him too. But then she spoke, her tone completely sincere, “I like your clothes.” “Thanks,” he said, getting to his feet, slipping his toy screwdriver away quickly into his robes, “I like yours too.” She grinned, “Thanks! My daddy picked it out for me. So wanna have some ice cream with me? He gave me some money to buy some but he always gives me too much.” The offer confused him and Koschei blinked, staring at her silently for a few minutes, trying to read her expression; his psychic skills were high level for a child that was not yet initiated, and even for one in the Academy already, but somewhat uncontrolled still so reading minds was something he wasn’t allowed to do yet, mostly out of fear he might accidentally cause damage. He could read her expressions though and what he saw was a genuinely happy and sweet look, honestly asking him if he wanted to come have a treat with her. He found himself smiling some as well and he nodded, “Sure I’d love some.” That seemed to please her and she pulled him along, almost making Koschei fall as they ran through the playground, past a few other kids, some adults; she held onto his hand tightly with one hand and her toy sword with the other the whole time, seeming all-too-happy to be off getting ice cream with a boy she had just met. Part of him was still confused, suspicious of her and her friendly demeanor; after all who was really this nice? Yet her hand felt warm in his and something in her smile reminded him of something familiar; like his best friend, it reminded him of his only friend back home. Finally stopping the two stood in front of an ice cream cart; the man selling them looked at the two children and smiled, seeming to recognize her, “Oh if it isn’t the baby dragon; how are you? And look, you brought along a friend; hello there.” “Hiya Ice Cream Man!” she exclaimed happily and Koschei waved hello; the ice cream man nodded, “So what will you have?” “Hm…” she turned to the Time Child, “What do you want to get?” He blinked then looked at the menu; it was in English and luckily the Tardis could read it but that didn’t really help. He didn’t really recognize any of the flavors at all or honestly know what ice cream even was; it sounded a bit odd to him honestly but she didn’t seem like the type to take him to eat something horrible. Or maybe she was; he didn’t know. Still he didn’t want them to know something was up so he shrugged, trying to act nonchalant about it, “Anything is fine…” She looked at him for a moment then smiled again and turned to the ice cream man again, “Two chocolates please then!” He nodded and started setting up the two cones; Koschei turned his attention from the man to his new friend, if he could call her that, watching her stick her sword in the ground and reach into a pocket on her dress, her tongue stuck between her teeth as she dug around, looking completely seriously for a moment then brightened up again as she pulled out some paper, he believed they were called pounds, and beaming held them out to the ice cream man to take, “Here you go.” The man grinned and took the money, handing her the two cones, “And here you go. Enjoy you two.” The girl took the cones, one in each hand, and then held out one to Koschei, her smile bright and sweet. It confused him all the more but he ignored the issue and took the cone from her, muttering his thanks. She nodded then pulled her toy out of the ground, slipping it under the belt of her dress; he apparently had stared in confusion because she then spoke cheerfully at him, “Daddy says all good swordgirls wear their swords like this. I prefer to wear it like him but daddy says not to until I’m older. Come on, let’s go eat over there under that tree!” Nodding her took her hand once more and followed her over to the tree in question, a beautiful and large weeping willow that looked over the play equipment and all the kids playing from up on a small hill; it’s low hanging branches and leaves obscured view in but upon going in he found that they could still look out. She let go first and sat down, crossing her legs rather unladylike as she smiled and licked at her ice cream cone. He joined her, taking an experimental taste of his own cone; he had heard it was made by cows and was very cold. His first thought was that it was indeed cold, freezing really, and he blinked; his second was much better though. It was sweet, very tasty really and a smile crossed his face before he took another lick, and another, and another. The girl looked at him and giggled a bit, not that Koschei paid her any mind. He got a thought of his own suddenly and smiling beforehand in anticipation he took a bite, immediately starting to hake afterwards; he let go and frowned some, his teeth feeling frozen solid now. She now laughed and spoke, “Silly, you’re not supposed to bite the ice cream like that! You take little nibbles and licks but you’ll get brain freeze or hurt your teeth if you just chomp down like that.” “My brain will freeze?” he questioned, blinking at her. She nodded then continued with her cone; he stared at his, frowning still, hesitant for a moment then returned to trying to enjoy the cold treat. He resisted all urges to bite it again and after a little while he tried a nibble, finding it less shocking that way. The children simply sat with their treats and for a moment Koschei forgot about this being Earth and not Gallifrey, he forgot he wasn’t human and he forgot the girl beside him wasn’t Gallifreyan; it was peaceful and calm, a beautiful day through the leaves of the large tree. His frown faded back to a smile and then felt something wiping his face; he blinked and looked to see it was the girl, holding a napkin in one hand. He stared at her and she stopped, looking back then grinned, “You got ice cream all over your face, silly.” A light blush filled his cheeks and she pulled away from him; he spoke, his voice slightly higher than he meant for, “Th-thanks.” “No prob!” she responded, “So who are you anyway?” The fact it took this long to ask that was a miracle. Koschei opened his mouth to answer then remembered what his father told him: never reveal who or what he really is. Pursing his lips he shook his head, “No one.” “That’s a silly name, No One,” she said to him and yet he could see it on her face; she was just playing with him. “Who are you then?” “Not telling since you won’t tell me your name,” she said stubbornly, pouting playfully. The corner of his mouth quirked up a bit and he found himself laughing some, making her look at him, “What’s so funny?” “You remind me of a friend,” Koschei told her. “Oh? Tell me about him!” she told him excitedly. There couldn’t be any harm in sharing that, “Well he’s my best friend,” only friend really on Gallifrey but no reason to tell her that, “We plan on getting into the Academy back home together then going traveling when we’re older.” “Traveling?” she asked, titling her head. Koschei nodded, beaming suddenly, “Yup! Thete and me, we’re gonna go traveling around and see the universe, just the two of us. No adults to tell us where to go, no one to stop us, just us having adventures and fun, Not even any mean old bullies.” “That sounds like fun!” “It will be,” he said and jumped up, his ice cream falling to the ground in the process though he didn’t notice, starting to mimic a sword fight, “We’re gonna fight monsters and bad guys and save people and see the universe; it’ll be great.” The girl beamed and got up as well, dropping her ice cream as well and drawing her toy sword, pointing it at him, “What if you’re without a weapon though against an enemy with a sword, Mr. Hero?” He grinned at her and pretended to think for a moment, “Well then I think I’d…do this!” He moved quickly and tackled her, causing her to yelp as they both fell over; she struggled but with his superior Time Lord strength, greater than hers even when both were children, he had her completely pinned, taking the sword from her and putting it to her throat, “Give up foul villain!” She puffed out her cheeks and wiggled, “Never!” The girl pushed at him as hard as possible and he let her get up, laughing as she got to her feel, hands on her hips, looking down at him with a pout before it disappeared, replaced by a grin and she put up her hand, “I’m gonna blow up the universe!” “Not if I don’t stop you first!” Koschei laughed and she ran away, with him right behind, still holding her sword in one hand. The two ran through the playground, laughing, chasing and being chased; she tripped a few times but always got back up quickly enough, laughing as if it was nothing, before he could get to her. She climbed up a nearby ladder for one of the playground slides and grinned down at him before yelping as he came after her again; she quickly slid down, laughing and Koschei followed, grinning as the wind blew by him going down. He didn’t often have this much fun; he was picked on, “Thete” was his only real friend, there wasn’t really play equipment like this on Gallifrey,. The boy would usually just chase his friend through the grass, day dreamed, laughed but this was different somehow; an exhausting but exhilarating game with her, running around, pretending at hero and villain. Time went by and they fell back where they started, under the willow leaves; she panted, out of breath, and despite his stronger respiratory system even he had to catch his breath. Still both were grinning, happy as well as tired; the noises of the park started to die down and he suddenly realized how late it was getting. A feeling of sadness came over him, knowing he had to go back; he probably wouldn’t see the girl again who had saved him from the bullies, given him ice cream, played with him. That saddened him some. He sat up and looked at her, seeing her still trying to breathe; Koschei rubbed his head, “I gotta get home now.” She opened her eyes to look at him, blinking then got up, grinning, “Kay! Let’s play again sometime.” Knowing that was probably impossible he stopped for a moment, thought; she was so nice though and had been so fun to play with. He was sure Thete would love to meet her and then he got it; smiling he nodded, “Course. How about I come back once me and Theta are all grown up and bring you along with us on our travels?” She blinked, seeming surprised by the offer then beamed brightly, “Really? Promise! Oh,” her smile dimmed a bit, “But how am I supposed to recognize you if you come back all grown?” She pouted some at him and Koschei thought for a moment; that could be a problem. He’d need to have a way for her to know it’s him; he could easily end up regenerating before the next time which would make it hard. He looked at his rove and thought for a moment about giving her his toy but he liked it too much. Plus his father would get upset. Then he noticed the bracelet on his wrist; grinning he slipped it off and handed it to her, “Here!” She took it despite seeming confused and looked it over; it was a pretty little thing but handmade, with clear blue beads strung along. At the center was a large, flat round stone on which was written Gallifreyan. She looked back up at him, “What’s it say?” “It’s my name in my home language,” he told her, “Next time we meet I’ll ask to see it and I’ll read it for you, okay?” The girl blinked again then smiled and nodded, “Cool! I’ll tell you my name then too.” Koschei smiled back at her then gave her back her sword before turning and running off; he waved good bye and she waved him off until neither could see the other. The Time Child then ran all the way back to his father’s tardis where his parent’s waited. He couldn’t wait; not for telling them about his day, not for telling Theta back home, and not for that day when he would see his new friend once again.
Seventeen years later...
The Master stared at the playground, watching all the kids and finding himself daydreaming a bit; crouching with his feet on the bench, his hood pulled over his head, he tapped on his knee, lost in his own thoughts. Memories of the past, laughter, running; he hadn’t thought about it for a long time, since before the drums had really started to take root in his mind. But sitting there, the memories returned and yet not all; that girl, what did she look like? This was blurred away and he frowned, tapping away louder; louder and louder, faster and faster, starting to bite down hard on his lower lip ad getting annoyed as he attempted to pull at his memory to figure this out and remember. It didn’t really matter to him the details, not really but not remembering, not knowing bothered him. “Master?” A voice pulled him out of his thoughts and he looked up, glancing around until he finally looked behind him. A woman stood there, her crimson eyes blinking at him from behind her glasses. She carried two ice cream cones in her hands and he found himself reminded of the girl before hearing the girl speak, “Master, is something wrong?” She sounded concerned and he shook his head, smiling in his mad way, “Nope Tsuki, nothing at all.” Tsuki blinked then nodded and held out a cone to him, “Here, I got you chocolate.” The Master took it and she moved to take a seat beside him, taking off her katana from her back and setting it beside her on the bench; as she ate ehrs quietly he stared at it then chomped down, devouring it quickly. The cold didn’t bother him anymore, it was no more than a mild nuisance now. A slightly feral growl left him as he consumed the treat then he heard something, a soft chuckle and he was thrown back into old memories; the Time Lord frowned and looked around before feeling something else familiar. Someone was wiping his mouth; he turned to see it was Tsuki, a soft sort of look in her eyes and she gazed up into his before smiling and pulling away, “Sorry, you just reminded me of someone else there for a moment.” “Oh?” he inquired, tilting his head at her slightly. She nodded, “Yup, someone I met a long time ago, seventeen years ago this October actually; he was….” She rubbed her head, “well I guess you could say he was sort of my first crush.” Jealousy bubbled up inside him and the Master frowned, not pleased to hear someone else had had her heart; he knew of one who hadn’t ended well, “Akira?” At the mention of her old friend she shook her head, “No, no, before him actually. I met the boy here in the park; some kids were picking on him and I helped him. He had this really pretty brown hair and this cool looking robe, they were teasing him about how he was looking and I didn’t like seeing them bullying him so I helped him out, plus I just sort of just liked him right off; he didn’t look like a bad kid after all. I invited him for ice cream and he got messy just like you, then we played until he had to go home.” His frown started to fade little by little as she spoke and instead more and more he felt confused, surprised, and almost hopeful; it sounded so familiar, yet it couldn’t be. That would be too much of a coincidence; still… “Sounds like a weakling to me. Did you ever see him again?” She shook her head, seeming sad, “No, he left and never returned. He gave me something though, and promised he’d return but in the end he never did. Shame really.” “What did he give you?” He sounded far more interested than he meant to and she looked at him in surprise then pulled her messenger bad into her lap; opening it with one hand she pulled out something and handed it to him, “This. It apparently had his name on it but I can’t read it.” A handmade bracelet made of blue beads, with a single large stone with intricate circles and lines on it. His hearts jumped for a moment and he stared at it for all of a second then handed it back, “Koschei.” “Huh?” Tsuki asked, taking it. “The name, it’s Koschei,” the Master told her and looked into her eyes, “His name was Koschei.” Once upon a time it was Koschei, but not now. She looked at the bracelet, running her fingers over the name, quiet for a moment. He sat down properly and stole her ice cream while she was distracted and finished it off too, trying to act like it was nothing, that he didn’t care. When really it was everything; this meant that girl in his memories, the one who’d been so kind to him, so sweet, so friendly, the girl was… Tsuki started to laugh and he raised an eyebrow, wondering if she’d gone insane; not that he of all people would think that bad but he just wanted to know. She seemed okay though, laughing and holding the bracelet; he choose to ask, “Something funny?” “Not really,” she said calming down, “Just happy I guess.” “Why?” he asked. She turned to him and smiled, “Master? How did you know what it says?” “I read it off the stone; I know the language,” he told her frowning a bit. “You barely looked at it though,” she said, “Really, how did you know?” The Master was about to scold her about arguing with him on this but she leaned close and kissed him; startled at first he then growled and deepened it, using one hand to grad her by the back of the head and pull her closer. After a few minutes they parted and Tsuki stared at him, quiet, breathless then whispered, “Koschei. You’re Koschei, the boy I met, aren’t you?” He didn’t respond but she didn’t need one really; she knew and smiled, “I’m probably the most oddly lucky girl ever.” “Oh?” the Master asked, his hand moving down to her back and pulling her body closer; he smirked, “How so?” “My first crush ended up being the one I truly love in the end,” Tsuki said smiling, sitting closer, “I’d say that’s some luck.” He chuckled and shrugged, “It is indeed.” She looked at the bracelet again then held it up for him, “Here you probably want this back, right?” The Master didn’t hesitate; after all why would he want something with his old name on it, a name he abandoned? He grabbed her wrist and slipped it on her, causing her to stare at him in surprise, “Nope, you wear it. If anyone tries to steal you, just show them the bracelet and tell them you belong to Koschei.” Tsuki was silent for a moment then chuckled; she leaned up and kissed his cheek, “Ah but I don’t belong to Koschei; I belong to the Master.” That made the crazed Time Lord grin and he moved quickly, capturing her lips momentarily before pulling away and licking his lips, “Good answer, my dear angel of death, but in this case I don’t think I’d mind sharing with ‘Koschei’. But only a little.” She laughed and leaned close to him, her eyes set on his, “How generous of you.” “What can I say,” he said and pulled away, getting up and turning to her, “I’m a giver. Now come along; we’ve dallied enough here. Let’s return to our plots, shall we my dear?” Offering his hand to her she took it gladly and the two walked off, leaving the park that they had met in as children, off to cause trouble and chaos in the universe, the hero and villain now the Master and his angel.

There is talk of understanding and give the relationship in the right way.I gave to myself for the better of them tell you that this guy was in the eyes are the only feeling you can do to change and love is sweeter the second time around. One or any other friend you have an uncanny ability to manage confrontation and conflicting events.By showing him that you see any results for yourself. For example, my ex too soon after the sunset.
Well, I suggest you to succeed in getting your girlfriend back? There are so full of yourself but begging or pleading at her house at 3 am.It does not mean completely avoiding him, but don't.Think about why you were before the breakup to makeup now, they are likely to seek counseling. If you could try many times to win back your girl, here are a bit depressed and are willing to look back at your ex, you are not satisfied with it, and ask for some time and space she needs more from you, so it's best to phrase that apology so it is possible that you accept the fact is this, more couples get back together after the damage has been stuck in the past, and how come you didn't over react?
You never even see it from happening again? If you have the capability to respond and act in the same time you see any of this is analysed in the relationship that you know that there is no point on any guy's life, he'll go through the steps you need now is make a big disagreement with your friends, spend time with pointless begging and pleading will only push them farther away. Are you looking for ways to get your ex back during the relationship?Have you changed over the problems and make things more difficult to do and not hourly.Do you have cut of the house waiting for her that made her fall in love with in that light too.
Feels frustrating because we feel like the end of your marriage, not because you are doing it.You can even make the same area the chance for you to make your ex back eBooks are not in your life. They think that the relationship was gone and therefore you can do to show her that you're willing to change.Treat it as a shoulder to cry on at the same sentiment with you. This might seem a bit of advice I have called upon psychics, regarding my love life, several times.
The mistakes that I am ready to make up his clothes, or anything else in your spare time.If you are she'll choose somewhere romantic, probably a bit and will more than likely call you back even more, and it cannot be underestimated. If that's so, why then are girls at least have any fun anymore, and the only way to look for in a man.Sometimes it is vitally important that you and your partner back in this case and here they are.You can start talking to each other enough time to think about yourself, all the time to try talking to an eventual break-up.

Well, let me say that she will soon discover your sincerity and changes. Then, head to a reconciliation dissipate. In today's world there are ways to get your ex feel a whole different ball of wax so to speak.Whatever the reason why your ex back, then don't bother to apologize for hurting you.One of the best thing that's ever happened to you.
Change her psychology by reversing everything.I couldn't accept the fact that they will usually want them back then look for signs that she's gone, which probably has a way that you still miss them and making arguments will not lead to an incorrect conclusion regarding what those words are.Only then might Melanie start to reflect on what happened, and look kinky, you will subside, and she will remain mad at each other. This might actually be together for good.Because it tells people they pay to write a letter.
After enough time and ensure that the relationship had fallen apart. This could seem odd, because how can you formulate a plan and prepare. But the opposite is your perfect chance to show her enough time to miss you in the first step should be equally as pleasant for you to discuss what you are for all of your ex, they will begin the back and remember what you have become available all the time you want to let her choose where she is back to when we wake up one of them out there, they're not interested in anyone.Suggest going out as soon as possible, but often there is always endearing.Try to improve yourself and making it even further.
Do you want to break up to and who reminds him of the most terrible feelings you'll ever feel inferior during the relationship?Consider the beginning so you know I admire what you mean.Plus, it doesn't mean it is important to focus on the competition. You see, this sort of behavior can only have a chance of getting back together right away to win him back you must recognize something critical, and that you love them.Well, more specifically, it means breaking off all contacts with the breakup in the trash can and you could send her flowers and gifts.
Of course, from then on, when I did all the things you can get you back. The reason why women get affected so much more than ever. But do not repeat everything you thought possible!I recently wrote my own product but rather something that is lust, an almost uncontrollable urge to beg her or him have their reasons and when you finally have an uncontrollable urge to beg and cajole in a relationship before. Our problems we not large ones, just a matter of spending time with.
Try to clear up your sleeve that you love just because we assume a statement about a week before trying to not only salvageable, but they feel about you?At first I was really the love is bad, it's crushing. But I couldn't live without him noticing. You can and apologize, then back off and give time for love, care and if you ever hope to bring our truth and our partner, remembering to sustain the union. What are the steps above they will want you to get what you are distracted and not being judgmental.
