hi!! could i request TosaGumi (together, not separately) taking care of a really sick saniwa? 👉👈

Tosagumi caring for Sick!Saniwa (GN!Reader)

♡ To say the saniwa is taken care of while sick is an understatement. The TosaGumi boys rarely leave their side while they are very sick.

♡ Nankaitarou a practiced medical profession being the true savior with two bickering idiots by his side.

♡ "Aruji! I brought a bunch of meat for you to eat and get stronger!" "Mutsu, shut up. You're being loud and annoying!" "Hizen, Mutsunokami. Please. Our patient needs rest. Lower your voices."

♡ Nankaitarou goes the extra mile taking care of saniwa. He would take their temperature every day, make sure they take their medicine to help lower their fever, always make sure they have some tea during the day to help with the hoarse throat, and changing the ice pack on their forehead.

♡ He would probably go as far as doing blood-work to extra examine the poor saniwa but he knows that stress would not help them so he doesn't put them through that as well.

♡ Nankaitarou doesn't sleep much. He didn't before and he sure doesn't now. Very rarely does Mutsu and Hizen take over for him so he can rest.

♡ Saniwa will quickly get used to his eyes, with dark bags underneath them, staring down at them with a small smile as they exclaim; "Ah, your complexion is much better today! You will be healthy soon enough!"

♡ If they were stronger they might comment back, "Nankaitarou, you are the one that looks like they are about to faint now-"

♡ Nankaitarou kicks out the other TosaGumi boys quite often, much to them arguing about it. He really can't win. They either argue inside the room or outside in the hall for everyone to hear.

♡ With saniwa's fever being so bad, he often has to change the sheets and their clothing. Washing their skin with cool water to help clean them somehow.

♡ He tries very hard to not make them uncomfortable with these acts. Often giving them fabric to cover themselves so he just focuses on the parts of the skin they can't clean easily themselves and always turning away when they dress themselves. He only stays in the room to make sure they don't faint from the heavy fever.

♡ When they become well enough, he has the boys fetch plenty of bath scrubs and create a bubble bath for them to clean themselves and relax.

♡ He still stays in the main room just in case anything goes wrong he can rush into the bathroom but he knows they need their privacy just as much as anyone.

♡ Mutsunokami is a lovable idiot. Some say this man has never got sick because he is so carefree!

♡ So taking care of saniwa is not exactly his strength.

♡ He is always around though. Telling them stories of what is going on in the citadel. The funny stories. The stories of him causing trouble only for the saniwa to tiredly shake their head at him.

♡ He brings them movies to watch together, even if he is fully aware that they will not stay awake for the full of it. He wants them to have someone beside them and be the right-hand man if they need anything.

♡ If saniwa's fever is making them very cold, he will offer to cuddle with them since he is a heater of body heat.

♡ His arms would wrap around them as they rest their head on his chest. The soft motion of stroking the back of their head as they relax, and him faintly humming the song his previous master always used to sing. Only for their breath to steady and they can fall asleep.

♡ Mutsunokami also happens to fall asleep with them. No way is he going to move and wake them on accident!

♡ ...He may get sick after this event.

♡ Hizen is similar to Mutsunokami where he isn't too aware how to care from someone.

♡ His past life was one of a killer and a poor one at that. If someone gets sick, they have a very high chance of dying.

♡ Seeing Saniwa very sick makes him an anxious mess and the main reason he never wants to leave their side.

♡ He doesn't want to look away for a second and not catch them struggling to take their breaths.

♡ He may not know for sure what to do but he has the right spirit.

♡ Everyday they wake up, they will see a snack beside them. Only to doze off again and awake to a new pile of snacks.

♡ Where is he stealing all these??

♡ Hizen knows that food makes him happy so surely that will help healing them. They can't starve if he keeps putting snacks by them.

♡ He may steal some books as well to entertain them. Which swords lost books that day, the world may never know-

♡ Saniwa internally has to remind themselves to tell Hizen to return these items after they get better... But will he remember who he even took these from?

♡ Hizen isn't the biggest reader so it is a big mystery if he even knew what he was picking up to entertain them.

♡ Hizen has a bit of trouble reading but Saniwa asking him to read them to sleep will make him try to. Even if they grumble about it.

♡ They will hear him sounding out words and trying very hard to read out loud fluently. Although it is a bit hard to understand sometimes, it is flattering to hear them try so hard for them.

Hi, hi! Today is Mutsu's day (2/6)! Can I ask for some fluffy short story of how he'd react if he'd get a "birthday" party? 🙏✨ Thank you!

To those who do not know what the heck Mutsu day is (because I sure did not) my friend explained it pretty well because im dumb as hell.

The 2nd of June

The ringing in his ears is louder and stronger than whatever blast from firearms could ever compare to – a thunder, a roar, a howl, a scream.

But instead of hot metal within his hands and finger upon the trigger - with his heart hammering in his chest and adrenaline pumping within his ichor, singing within his organs and demanding him to move – Mutsu is instead merely standing there.

His heart beats faster and faster and faster for a much…different reason.

A better reason.

“Happy Mutsu day!!!” the chorus of song and cheers from the citadel, the popping of poppers, streamers floating about within the atmosphere as they descend unto the tatami floors, fluttering petals of golds and ambers and reds and blues and whatnot. His own honeyed orbs glance between the party and your smiling face and then the faces of a rather sour Hizen and a beaming Nankaitarou, and then back at the whole mass of the party-goers. “Is this…” he begins to ask, pointing to himself. “For me?”

“Your name was in the cheer, dumbass.” Hizen lets out a small and gruff little huff, rolling his eyes as he watches the way Mutsu’s own orbs light up with shimmering sunshine glee – brighter than the sun and stars. “Of course it is!” in your hands is a triangular party hat, decorated with your starter sword’s crest and the string itself a neat deep blue ribbon. “It’s to celebrate you!” you hurry over to his side, holding out the accessory to him, obviously hand crafted; as there were some glued edges slowly prying loose and some uneven corners here and there.

Nonetheless, it was made with the utmost of care, that much was clear.

A sense of warmth overtakes him, his heart full of love and laughter and life. His lips break out into the brightest of smiles. A chortle leaves him as he smacks your back, a cough leaving your lips as he snatches the hat from you, slipping it over his form. “My day, huh?” a wistful murmur leaves the man’s lips, eyes nigh glistening with invisible tears that he would not dare to let fall.

Yet, of course.

“Yes! It’s Mutsu day!” you repeat the cheer from earlier, chuckling alongside him. “It’s all for you!”

There is a sudden yelp from your lips as he grasps you into the biggest of hugs he could ever muster, squeezing you to his form.

“Thank you…” Mutsunokami mumbles against your ear, parting from your form with a smile that outshines Amaterasu’s own gleaming glow.

A day for him.

A day made forhim.

To Mutsunokami, he could not ask for more.

Could I please request that in a citadel, the Saniwa suddenly goes up to hug Izuminokami, Ishikirimaru, Mutsunokami, Sayo, and Horikawa during a bad day. How do they react?

Izuminokami Kanesada

He’sinitially a bit surprised since the gesture is so sudden

And thenhe realizes that you look like you’re on the verge of tears

Althoughhe can be quite dense, even he can figure out that it’s because something hasgone wrong, or maybe that lots of little somethings have gone wrong

He’s abit too used to being looked after by the other swords (especially byHorikawa), but he still does his best to comfort you, even if it comes off as abit clumsy

Awkwardlyreturns your hug and pats you on the head, trying to reassure you

He ratherboldly claims that he’ll get justice for you against whatever or whoever it isthat’s made you feel so miserable

Izuminokamicomes off as a bit brash in this way, but his heart is in the right place andhe’s willing to help you in any way he is able to

Ishikirimaru

At firsthe’s a bit startled by the sudden action, but he’s quick on the uptake torealize that something is amiss with you

Softly rubscircles into your back to try and soothe you

Asks ifyou want to talk about what it is that’s bothering you

Willing tolisten to you vent or otherwise talk about what a terrible day you’ve had

But he’llalso respect it if you don’t want to talk, or if you just need to cry it out,or whatever you need, he’ll try and provide it

He won’toffer advice unless you ask for it though, since he doesn’t want you to feelpressured to take action one way or another

All inall, Ishikirimaru would focus on trying to make you feel better and into abetter mental state

Mutsunokami Yoshiyuki

Hereturns your hug as if it’s the most natural thing in the world and isgenerally a comforting presence

But hedoes know that you’ve sought him out because something is clearly bothering youand he also knows he wants to help

He doeshis best to distract you, whether it’s getting you to do something to get yourmind off of things or relating various anecdotes about life in the citadel toyou

Mutsunokamidistracts you in such a way that enforces the idea that you’re capable and thatthe swords of the citadel rely on you and that you can rely on them in turn

If youtalk about the problems you’re facing, he listens and tries to think of ways tohelp you through them

If you’lllet him give advice or help you find solutions, he’ll do so seriously and offerssolid advice and solutions

He doeshis best to make you feel better, but to also encourage you to find the courageto try things again  

Sayo Samonji

Ratherthan suddenly approach him, you request seemingly out of nowhere for him tocome to you

He doesn’tknow what you need him for but he complies, and that’s when you take him intohis arms

Initiallyhe’s confused because he doesn’t understand what you’re doing at first, but hedoesn’t pull away since you’re a master that he trusts

So whilehe stiffens a little at the sudden contact, he relaxes into it fairly easily,even if he’s not sure what he should do

You hideyour face from him and take a shaky breath, and then he’s able to piecetogether why you’re acting the way you are

Heresorts to the only thing he really knows and asks if you want revenge againstsomeone

Sayodoesn’t really know what to do or how to comfort you, but he tries in his ownway  

Horikawa Kunihiro

He’s notespecially surprised when you go in for a hug, but he is worried when henotices that your breathing is a bit shaky

He outrightasks if you’re all right; after all, if he knows what the problem is, then hecan help you

If yourefuse to talk or otherwise indicate you don’t want to talk about it, he’ll ofcourse respect that

But assumingyou do talk or can be coaxed into doing so, he’ll listen to whatever it is youhave to say and has a knack for making you feel like you’re actually beingheard

Like Ishikirimaru,won’t force any advice onto you, but he will ask if you’d like to hear anotherperspective and reminds you that maybe you need to take a step back and reassess

He’sreally good at getting you to examine things as they are and negating anyunnecessary guilt or self-blame and finding the words to spur you back intoaction

♡ best big brothers!!!

♡ Mutsu naturally acts like the teasing big brother to the citadel! Especially to Hizen. So a kid saniwa? Actual dream.

♡ He will be running around the citadel with them on his shoulders as they prank the other swords together and cause mischief.

♡ He is not the best role model... BUT THE FUN BROTHER!!

♡ Meanwhile Hizen is chasing after the two, trying to stop Mutsu from corrupting the poor saniwa with his antics.

♡ Hizen avoids touching Child!Saniwa since he is a killer sword and he feels like his hands are forever dirty. Hands like his should never touch anyone, really.

♡ But saniwa grasp his hand anyway when walking ಥ_ಥ

♡ The first time they ever did that, he pulled away on reflex with a scowl on his face. Only to realize it was the saniwa who was now tearing up...

♡ Panicked, Hizen quickly got on his knees and did the hover hands around them while internally going "WHAT I DO WHAT I DO-"

♡ Only to softly hug them and only then did the saniwa stop.

♡ Hizen's body was so tense and uncomfortable from touching someone but saniwa hugged back tightly that he slowly began to relax. Muttering a soft "sorry-" to them.

♡ Nankaitarou is the teacher to the saniwa. He is the one that teaches them all the schooling subjects they are suppose to not (and some they are too young to understand but he goes on a tangent)

♡ To practice their words, they read to Hizen at night!! And it helps Hizen also get better at reading <3

♡ Nankaitarou plays with the saniwa sometimes but most time busy in his lab.

♡ But saniwa can be his little helper! He doesn't let them touch anything dangerous but will ask them to go get something he needs, and sets them on a mission.

♡ The amount of praise they get when they do, it could light the whole room with the brightness of their smile!!!

♡ Candy as a reward, of course!

♡ Most times, saniwa will just sit on the floor while Nankaitarou works and color in their book.

♡ Family movie nights become a thing. Because Mutsu is in love with the new age of technology!

♡ Mutsu is sadly a talker during the movies though... And Hizen HATES it.

♡ Petty little squabbles between the two happen a lot. But instantly stops when saniwa demands "NO FIGHTING >:("

♡ Nankaitarou just has a proud smile throughout it. At least they listen to saniwa more than him.

♡ Also family pictures!!!

♡ Mutsu is always taking pictures of the saniwa and making the whole squad get in the pictures.

♡ Any little accomplishment saniwa achieves, picture and its going on the wall.

♡ Summer time is the most fun because Mutsu brings out the water guns and it's an all out war through the whole citadel.

♡ It's his own way to teach saniwa safety when wielding even a toy gun because if they show interest in it in the future, he wants to make sure they are safe at all times.

♡ They grow closer as group when Child!Saniwa enters the picture. Mutsu and Hizen end up seeing eye to eye more because they want have a common goal of raising saniwa right and being a family.

♡ Nankaitarou loves walking into the play room after he is done in the lab to see the three of them passed out together. Warms his heart to see his favorite people being so happy together.

Driving Headcanons with the Touken Danshi (aka the Saniwa is fearing for their life)

Pairings: Touken Danshi x Reader (sorry I’m too lazy to type all of the pairings in this) uh... this can be taken as either platonic or romantic it’s up to you

Content Warnings: Potential car crashes/accidents and drunkenness because Jiroutachi, also allusion stripping because Sengo, threats of physical violence (road rage), swearing

A/N: Ok so I wrote this A WHILE AGO and I hate driving so I forced all the Touken Danshi mentioned here to drive with me so HAH, anyways drive safely and don’t be like these bozos! also omg this is over 6 months old jeez, also i might wanna do a beach episode fic/hcs with the touken danshi hehe

(essentially Saniwa usually drives them around whenever they need to but some of the swords got curious and wanted to try driving themselves)

- Saniwa (Reader): 

    - Already knows how to drive and is the one teaching them how to 

    - Please send help 

    - “Why did I think it would be a good idea to let these swords drive….” 

- Kasen:

    - Pretended not to be interested in driving but actually wants to learn 

    - Wants to drive elegantly and with poise, but has terrible road rage 

    - Fails the driving test and gave up 

    - “My driving will be as elegant and refined as me~”

    - 15 minutes later at someone who cut him off “YOU BASTARD ILL HAVE YOUR HEAD AND SERVE IT TO SANIWA-“ 

- Izuminokami: 

    - Actually didn’t want to learn how to drive at first but then got into a competition with Mutsunokami on who could get their driver’s license quicker

    - Izuminokami is ok at driving but due to the competition aspect, he fucking floors it a lot 

    - Passed after 2-3 tries 

    - “I’m not letting that son of a bitch Mutsunokami win!” 

- Mutsunokami: 

    - One of the first Touken Danshi to want to learn how to drive, is very interested in how the car works and often studies it 

    - You would think his enthusiasm would go overboard in this case but is actually a decent driver since he took the time to practice and learn about it

    - Passed on the first try, Izuminokami was pissed 

    - “So cool! Hey Saniwa can we look at this model please!” 

- Tomoegata: 

    - Didn’t really care about it until Saniwa mentioned that they needed help driving around the rest of the Touken Danshi

    - Tried their hardest to get good at driving and basically tried thinking of it as a horse, took a little bit, is able to drive pretty well 

    - Passed on their first try 

    - “I will drive so that I can relieve the Saniwa’s burden of driving” 

- Hasebe: 

    - Also did not care until Saniwa mentioned that they needed help and he immediately looked into driving lessons 

    - Ok he passed with flying colors on the written exam but on the practical exam, he has bad road rage 

    - It took like 3-5 tries for him to pass and would not concede until he got his license 

    - “If it’s for Saniwa, I’ll drive them everywhere!” 

- Kashuu: 

    - Could not give any less of a shit, “Saniwa already drives me around, why do I need to drive when I know they drive me out of love~” but then wants to show his appreciation to them seeing as how they’re constantly driving them around and it’s getting to them since they’re anxious about driving 

    - Honestly he was scared as hell when first driving, was constantly afraid of accidentally damaging his car and other cars, so he was anxious, drives much slower out of fear, took a while to get used to driving, poor baby needs a lot of reassurance

    - Passed on first try 

    - While driving on the freeway “Wahhhh this isn’t cute at all!!!” 

- Micchan (Shokudaikiri Mitsutada): 

    - Was also in the camp of wanting to drive and wanted to drive in a cool car (sorry Micchan we’re not that rich) and really studied hard with Mucchan on driving 

    - In the beginning, Acts like he knows what he’s doing, in reality he doesn’t know jack shit, takes a while but he gets the hang of it, is a pretty calm driver 

    - Passed on the 2nd try because he made some easy mistakes caused him to insta-fail 

    - “Hey Saniwa can we get this car, it’s so cool- what? It’s not in our budget?” 

- Jiroutachi: 

    - No just no, you know why 

    - Booze and driving do not mix, mostly just gets you or someone else to drive her around (taroutachi is the one who learns how to drive lol) 

    - Is passed out drunk in the backseat 

    - “Drive fasterrrr~ hehehehe” 

- Mikazuki: 

    - You would think that this old man wouldn’t be up to it but he’s actually interested in learning how to drive

    - However he drives like he’s in a Fast & Furious movie and Saniwa often fears for their life while in the car with him, yet while driving like in a car chase, he still keeps his calm demeanor 

    - Maybe it was to mess with Saniwa but somehow he passed on the first try 

    - He’s talking about how the earth turns to roads when it was once rivers “JIJI PLEASE WATCH THE ROAD” 

- Kogitsunemaru: 

    - Wanted to learn how to drive in order for Saniwa to get some rest from driving (in reality it’s so he can have more time with them and so they can brush his hair) 

    - Was really confused on what he was supposed to do but after a lot of lessons, he became confident in his driving 

    - That being said it took him like 3 tries in order to pass 

    - “Anything for Nushi-Sama, but which direction do I go in once I reverse?” 

- Sengo: 

    - Was also surprisingly interested in learning how to drive and was seen talking to the car??? (I’m in love with my car plays in the bg /j) 

    - Despite what others may think, he’s a natural at driving and you feel so safe in the car with him??? Saniwa could take a breather in the chaos with him that being said he often says he’ll strip in the car 

    - Passed on first try with flying colors 

    - “Fufufufufufufu, the car is obeying my commands, shall I strip? Why are you asking me to pull over?” 

- Azuki: 

    - Mostly wanted to learn how to drive so he could drive the Tantous to get sweets and to get groceries without having to get Saniwa to drive him every time 

    - Thankfully doesn’t have road rage but he’s very slow, like too slow man, like driving 40 mph on a freeway type of slow, Saniwa was about to push him out of the driver’s seat and floor it for him, he’s just concerned for the children’s safety 

    - Passed after 2-3 tries 

    - After Saniwa tells him to please be within the speed limit “Think of the children Saniwa, I don’t want to accidentally shake them with my driving.” You almost get pulled over for driving so slow, Azuki

- Hizamaru: 

    - Mostly just wanted to be able to drive his brother and you around, nothing else, so he put his heart into learning how to drive 

    - Did pretty well on the written portion but was too overly concerned on the road to focus, often Saniwa had to reassure him that he’s doing great 

    - Passed on his 2nd try, would have passed on the 1st try if he didn’t second guess himself 

    - “Maybe Anija will remember my name once I drive him everywhere!” Hizamaru baby….

- Otegine: 

    - Huh??? Why are you asking a spear that’s only good at piercing to drive? Was really against it until he saw how much ‘fun’ everyone else was having and decided to give it a go

    - His driving is choppy and abrupt to say the least, Saniwa’s head hit the windshield a couple of times over how abrupt his stops were, he apologized every time 

    - It took him like 3-5 tries to pass but hey he passed! 

    - Screams this while on the freeway “The one thing I’m good is piercing, not driving!” 

- Sanchoumou: 

    - Pretty chill about it and up to try anything so he was up to try his hand at driving 

    - Maybe a little bit too enthusiastic, almost crashed into another car but hey it’s fine…. For now, but is a quick learner and good listener so he should be fine… in theory 

    - It took him like 3-4 times but hey this bird can drive now! 

    - “Let’s see how fast this little bird goes!” You had to make him slow down before he got a ticket 

- Nagasone: 

    - Was a little interested and was up for anything so he tried his hand at it

Valentines Day Special: Making Chocolates for You HCs (Kasen, Izuminokami, Mutsunokami)

Pairing: Kasen Kanesada x Reader, Izuminokami Kanesada x Reader, Mustunokami Yoshiyuki x Reader (all pairings intended to be romantic, but you can ignore this if you want)

Content Warnings: Swearing but that’s it, also fluff

Word Count: 500ish words

Characters:  Kasen Kanesada, Izuminokami Kanesada, and  Mustunokami Yoshiyuki

A/N: Ok I wanted to do more characters and might post some late ones but I wanted to get this out on Valentines Day, sorry I haven’t been posting, college is killing me lol, so have this lol some of the characters I wanted to do were Kashuu, Sanchoumou, Hasebe, Micchan, Tomoegata, and many more but here have this ehe. Surprisingly Izuminokami was the most difficult for me to write since there’s so many interpretations of him lol, but Imma try and experiment with him because he’s our lovable Kanesan! Might also post something similar on White Day but the reader making something for these lovable Touken Danshi ehe~ anyways Happy Valentines Day whether you be single, in a relationship, or do not wish to have any of that and want everyone to stfu <3

Kasen Kanesada: 

- Would be torn between making you a traditional chocolate and wagashi or some other traditional Japanese sweet 

- Either way it’s going to be pretty as hell and tasty so you can’t complain 

- Ultimately he sticks with what he’s familiar with and makes flower themed wagashi that look like your favorite flowers 

- Will mostly likely present his Valentines Day wagashi to you in the morning so you can spend the rest of the day thinking about it and spending time with him, of course being the poet that he is, he gives you a poem along with it 

- The poem is mostly about how despite this special occasion lasting for only a day, the love the two of you share is something he’ll cherish forever and how you seem to enchant him everyday no matter how many days, weeks, months, or years it’s been since he’s known you

- “This holiday does a disservice to our love because it’s impossible for me to express my love to you all within a single day.” 

Izuminokami Kanesada: 

- When he first learned of the holiday, he was so sure he’d make the best chocolate for you but then reality struck him 

- He wanted to make a cool and beautiful chocolate of himself and you, but then it exploded 

- He had to ask Kunihiro to help him make it, it took many tries and he had to deliver it to you at night but the smile you gave him while eating him made all of it worth it 

- Originally he wanted it to be a decorative chocolate but it kept on either hardening too fast or burnt him so Kunihiro and him decided to make some simple chocolate cookies with your initials on them 

- Even though it wasn’t his original plan, he was glad that he could convey his effort and love to you in these cookies and hoped that next year he’ll improve and make you even better ones 

- “Of course, they’re good, they were made by me after all! Besides I’ll make as much as you want, it’s the least I can do for the one I love!” 

Mutsunokami Yoshiyuki: 

- Of course being the lovable Mucchan we know him to be, he really really got into Valentines Day especially since he got to express his love to you

- Unfortunately he wasn’t the greatest at cooking and like Izuminokami burnt himself with the chocolate a lot and had to get help

- Mostly looks up trends with current Valentines Day chocolates to get inspiration and while he was fucking around with the chocolate, he made a mini gun 

- The end result ended up being based off the ocean, aka a chocolate in the form of a seashell with hearts frosted all over it, because whenever he sees the vastness of the ocean, he can’t help but be reminded of you 

- He gives it to you in the afternoon since he stayed up all night, making it and spent all of the morning and a good chunk of the afternoon too 

- “I decided to make it based on the sea since the sea is full of endless possibilities and whenever I’m with you, I constantly feel like we can take on the world!”

Hi, can I request headcanons of three boys of your choice to react when they’re about to be killed by the enemies when male!saniwa jumps in and saves them by wiping them out himself either by a gun or pure physical combat. The sword boys are stunned by what their saniwa did and it turns out that saniwa served quite sometime in the military back in America?

Side note: why does mutsuno have a hand gun when it’s banned in Japan? Does he have a special permit or the government got rid of the rule? I don’t know about you but It has been plaguing my mind ever since I first played the game.

Hello! What an interesting prompt!! So fun to write for. Also that is an interesting question! There is not official "canon" lore for tkrb, it's up to the different saniwas to come up with whatever canon lore they want. However, tkrb does take place in the future! The year is 2205 when the game takes place. Digitarou, President of Nitro+ (who owns tkrb), brought up some lore about tkrb at a con but really it's up to the player what they wish to have canon in their world! Ichimonji Norimune, Mutsunokami Yoshiyuki, and Taikou Samonji Being Saved by their Saniwa (M!Reader)

Artist: Lack (Official Artist for Norimune) ♡ Mud dirtied the fine white of the Norimune's suit, as if that was his biggest concern at the moment. Norimune sat crumpled on his knees as his gloved hand gripped at the mush under him. His once perfect suit was now tattered with fresh cuts and his own blood stained it to match the red fabric he always wore with it.

♡ Who knew swords could bleed so much?

♡ His breath struggled to come out of his throat as his pale blue eye stared up at the army HRA who were planning to invaded his now loved citadel.

♡ it started off so easy. The first waves were so easy to take care of... but it didn't stop. They kept coming. There was more and more before the team could handle and all the swords quickly became exhausted from the constant battle.

♡ He knew that it was the end. He lived a long life and now it was time to accept death just like all those in the past. The old man was going to rest.

♡ Would the Ichimonji clan miss their Jiji? He wish he could see their faces again and tease them a little more... Though it wasn't so bad. At least they were left in capable hands.

♡ He did his job and left it to Sanchoumou to fill his shoes. Now he has to retire from his job as a touken danshi.

♡ He drew in a single breath as he closed his eyes and smiled. Awaiting for them to finish him off.

♡ The normally teasing old man sat there with his mouth agape as he stared in front of him at his savior.

♡ "Can you stand?" He had asked, finally snapping Norimune out from his thoughts. A overjoyed smile came to his face as his aruji turned to face him.

♡ "Ah... I'm not sure. My knees aren't as they used to be-" A soft chuckle came from him, "Perhaps you can give me a hand, son."

♡ It was no lie that Norimune was struggling to walk. A mix of exhaustion, pain, and fear made his legs tremble and cause him to lean against the sage he was suppose to be protecting.

♡ "You better watch out, Aruji. Knowing how strong you are now, I may end up pulling my hip more often-" A mischievous smile shined at the Saniwa on the dark battlefield as Norimune held him close as they walked. Was he truly struggling to walk that badly... or perhaps it was a hug of gratitude for being saved from a fate he didn't wish to meet yet.

♡ It was a little secret that would never leave his lips.

♡ Pain spiked up from the deep wound that gushed every movement that Mutsunokami made. He had to keep going. He had to get away so he could get help. His left arm clenched over his abdomen and his right held his gun so tightly that the whites of his knuckled could sparkle in the darkness.

♡ A trail of blood made it clear the even if Mutsunokami somehow made it to get backup, they would just follow him right to the rest of the team.

♡ Limping could only carry him so far until his body couldn't take it anymore and he fell onto the cold ground. He already felt so cold... But the pressure of the impact made him realize he was still alive.

♡ His body pressed itself against a wall that was made for archers to hide behind. His back painting it red. His vision blurred as he heard a sound coming closer, probably the enemy finally catching up to finish him off.

♡ Was this how Ryoma felt before death? His murder was a surprise from a person who used to call a friend... Perhaps it was better that Mutsunokami didn't have to face that evil like his previous master did.

♡ Just like his previous master... Would he not see his dream come true?

♡ "What...will I end here...? ...I wanted...to see a new age..."

♡ His warm eyes stared down at the gun in his lap as his eyes grew heavy. He had no strength to hold them open. Darkness swallowed him as felt a warm blanket started to coat his body so he could finally rest easy.

♡ "Mutsunokami! Open your damn eyes right now! That's an order!"

♡ A familiar voice... Who was it again?

♡ His facial muscles tensed as he painfully fought his eyelids to open.

♡ A loud explosion sent a wave of hot air through him and made his ears ring as his orange eyes slowly opened upon his master with a gun in his hand and a grenade in the other. His expression was a mix of anger and worry. As soon he saw the sword's eyes were open, he smiled.

♡ "I'm going to get you out of here, alright? But you have to listen to me and not fall asleep."

♡ The Saniwa took up most of his vision but behind him he could see dark smoking coming from the ground... Trying to focus on the distance, he could see faint pieces of the HRA that were vanishing into the smoke.

♡ "What the hell, aruji...?" A painful laughed left him, "Why ya never tell me you were so cool with guns before?" His mouth tried to make the right shapes for the words but they were slurred regardless.

♡ A strong arm found it's way around Mutsunokami's waist as he was hoisted upward to stand.

♡ "Make it out of this alive and I might just teach you."

♡ Perhaps it was because the Saniwa wasted no time and hurriedly got Mutsunokami back to the citadel, perhaps because the Saniwa just gave Mutsunokami the best motivation and he was stubborn enough... But he held on and made it through the night to see another day.

♡ As soon as the cheerful sword could get out of bed again, he found his way to the master's room to start his begging for lessons.

♡ Anger pumped through Taikou's veins as he made attack after attack. They just kept coming. No matter how many HRA he sliced, there was always more.

♡ His movements became frantic and no logic followed them as he went on pure anger.

♡ His body screamed as blood ran down his body, his teeth ached from how badly he gritted them. If only his anger could take the form of fire and burn down every last one of them.

♡ The HRA didn't care how hard the small tantou tried, no matter how angry he looked, their attacks were brutal and kept coming to not give the Samonji brother time to catch his breath.

♡ His head banged against the floor of the forest. Pain spiked itself down his body as it finally began to give up. Anger tried to raise through him to be the last push to get back onto his feet again... But his body was limp.

♡ The only thing he could do was stare up, his brows furrowed, and hot tears poured from the corners of his eyes as the HRA enclosed on him.

♡ The tips of his flinched in an attempted to raise his hand to the full moon above him. The last thing to shine on him in this dark forest. A spotlight for the death that came too soon.

♡ "The monkey, reaches for the moon.... The name Taikou... is something too much for me..."

♡ Just like his previous master, he became too overzealous. Now he was going to drown in a sea of his own blood just like the parable always told him.

♡ Perhaps the Demon King was right about him and Hideyoshi... Just a foolish Monkey.

♡ His eyes stared motionless at the moon above him as a glimmer of a blade strike down on him to finish him off.

♡ As he waited for death... It never came. Instead black smoke clouded his view of the moon as a bang rang out in the almost silent forest.

♡ With no moon to look at, his head fell to the side to see the person he was hoping to see when he returned back to the citadel.

♡ Saniwa

♡ Taikou could feel the tear rise back up and a sob was choking him as he bit his lip, "Aruji-"

♡ More gunshots rang out before he could clearly see the face of the Aruji he treasured. He was all geared up in unusual clothing he had never seen before and weapons he only heard about from Mutsunokami.

♡ "Up we go!" The saniwa lifted up the tantou onto his back so he had access to his hands in case he needed to use his guns again. "You alright, Taikou?"

♡ A silent nod was what followed as the moonlight guided their way out of the forest. "I was really scared... Especially when I heard the gunshots. Guns are really scary and I was sure I was going to die right there... But when I saw you. I knew I was safe... Thank you, Aruji."

Tosagumi Hanging out with F!Reader

♡  Out of the whole group, Chouson and Hizen would be the two that hangs out the most together. Hizen feels the most comfortable with Sensei since he doesn’t feel like he needs to talk or make effort to go out of his way to interact with him.

♡  Often times they will be found in Chouson’s room as he is researching or inventing something. Hizen comfortably in a warm spot while he is snacking one something and reading.

♡  They would gladly welcome Saniwa to join them as long as she doesn’t make much noise and just enjoys being in the same room as the two. Little conversation here and there is always nice for them.

♡  Mutsunokami is not allowed in their quiet time though. He just can’t sit still long and wants to talk the whole time while he is there. 

♡  Chouson will also go on a whole lecture after he finally figures out something that he was stuck on. Hizen doesn’t really pay much attention other than little nods, not exactly understanding what Sensei is talking about.

♡  If she shows interest in what he is talking about, you know Chouson will get so excited and ramble off her ear before going back to his work.

♡  Mutsunokami loves hanging out with them as a group. He is also aware that they tend to like quiet spaces more than him so he tries to give them their room to recharge before he goes bursting into Chouson’s room trying to drag everyone out for something to do.

♡  Most times he gets them to follow along with his wild requests by getting under Hizen’s skin a little where his competitive side comes out. 

♡  Sure enough, Chouson follows soon after to watch them do their activity and see if he can pull any information out to help with his inventions. 

♡  Mutsunokami would most likely like spending time with the Saniwa the most when he can only hang out with one person. She is someone he feels very comfortable around and can talk her ear off.

♡  Will even offer to teach her how to use a gun if she wants to learn!

♡  Hanging out with the group will consist of Mutsunokami always wanting to end the day with a group picture so he can hang it up in his room to remember forever. 

♡  As well as plenty of yelling from Hizen over Mutsunokami’s antics (yet always following along).

What Lingers in the Dark (Mutsunokami Yoshiyuki x GN!Reader)

The rain had fallen steadily without let up since the afternoon. It was the only thing the saniwa could hear as they laid on their lover's, Mutsunokami Yoshiyuki, arm. The snoring had yet begin meaning that he was still awake, even if it was barely. Their face wasn't turned towards them, instead up at the ceiling where the moonlight barely shinned in to allow their eyes to see the patterns above them. It was the steady rythm of the heatbeat next to them and their eyes having something to focus on that lead them to have enough courage to speak into the night. Which could of been swallowed by the darkness forever if they were not careful.

"Mutsu?" They had called out, testing the air to see if the darkness would enclose on them and swallow their words.

A soft murmur beside them appeared, seemly close to sleep but still awake enough to respond to their lover. The saniwa could feel their heartbeat go a mile a minute as their hands gripped the blanket and gathered the last of their courage to ask the question that had been haunting them. A question that tormented them every night with the darkness that felt like it swallowed them whole.

"What are you going to do when I disappear?"

That was the only line of questioning that made the very comfortable and still body next to them suddenly roar up and look down at the saniwa in the dark. The two faces barely visible to each other but now the sage could no longer just stare up at the ceiling. They had to face their lover, whose face had his brows furrowed in what seemed to be anger, confusion, and concern all bundled up in one expression.

"What do you mean, 'when I disappear'? Where are you going?" He prodded.

As their eyes met Mutsunokami's amber eyes, they could feel the tears budding in the sides of their own. The darkness coating them in frigid tempature and making them shiver as their body tried to control the heat tears that were threatening to spill any moment.

"W-well," They started, tears starting to flow down their cheeks just as the words left their mouth, "I can't live forever and... You can. So... What are you going to do?"

Even the darkness couldn't hide how stunned Mutsunokami was. One moment he was dozing off next to the person he loved the most, and now he was sitting up on his elbow, staring down at them as they cried and asking what he was going to do when they died? He hated it. Not that they were crying... but because Mutsunokami really couldn't say anything to take those worries away from them. It was the dark truth that he knew in the back of his mind that he never wanted to confront. Now it was staring him in the eyes and asking him what he was going to do...

"Don't ask that. I hate that question." He ordered as his arms and body wrapped themselves around his saniwa. "I... I don't know. Honestly, I haven't been thinking about it."

The sage couldn't help but grasp at his clothes and hug him tightly. Their face pushing itself into his shoulder as they let the tear go, body shaking intensly.

"I.. I'm so sorry, Mutsu. I'm sorry. I'm scared." They cried out for only the darkness and their lover to hear. "I don't want to face it but I know I can't live forever with you and I'm so scared."

Mutsunokami couldn't do much besides hugging them with all his might and giving soft kisses on their head. He knew that what they were saying was the truth. They couldn't be together forever, no matter what. One day they were going to have to say goodbye and Mutsunokami didn't want to acknowledge that. Every mission he went on.. the thought was there. Each person of history died and he watched it happen to make sure history remained the same. Soon, their beloved saniwa, was going to become a person of history too. Yet Mutsunokami Yoshiyuki would somehow remain.

"I know.. I know." A tearful voice same out of him as he tried to sooth them just as he tried to sooth himself, "I can't say that won't happen, Aruji. I really wish I could but.. Gods, this sucks." A pitiful laugh left him as he hugged them tighter.

"I know you're scared... I am too. Everyday, I also think about it and I know I can't do anything to stop it." Mutsunokami confided, "But let's not let it stop us from loving each other and living everyday together while we still can, okay?"

He pulled away from them, his thumbs gently wiping away under their eyes to get the tears away from their face. A sad smile looking down at his lover with his own watery eyes.

"I might not know what the future may hold but I know that I love you."

"I love you too."

A passionate kiss joining the two with all the things that were left unsaid, the darkness enclosing on the two. The fear of the unknown still present between the two but at least they weren't alone. They could face each day together until their every last. For that... It was enough. At least for now.

OMG! YOUR BIRTHDAY IS COMING UP?? HAPPY (early) BIRTHDAY!!! These swords will try to make your bday extra special and I will try my best to make the headcanons extra special! I hope your bday is amazing and filled with plenty of love ^^ Just going to let you know now, all the swords have no idea what a birthday is until you explain it to them. They don't have a birthday of their own and their masters didn't celebrate their birthdays by the time they got them as a sword.

Izuminokami, Mutsunokami, and Honebami celebrating S/O birthday (GN!Reader)

♡   As soon as Izuminokami learns about birthdays, he asks you when yours is. He wants to make sure he doesn't forget! He writes it down someplace (and gives it to Horikawa to remind him cough) so he can remind himself every month and plan when it gets close!

♡  Expect a lot of very not subtle questions about your past birthdays and the things you like. Some questions even going as far as; "If you could possibly get a gift from a really handsome sword, what would you want?"

♡  He has... a blather mouth. He has a hard time keeping a secret from you. He is aware of it too! If you start asking him questions in return of why he is asking, he will instantly tense up and become flustered. Constantly tripping over his words in trying to think of an excuse. He may also just run... That is also a big possibility.

♡  The day of your birthday, you will wake up in your bed alone. It happens sometimes in the past if Izuminokami has an early morning mission he has to leave for, but normally he wakes you up to tell you he is leaving and give you a kiss goodbye. It is very unlikely for him to leave before you wake up and without a single word.

♡  Right away you will know something is up.

♡  As you continue you on with your morning routine, you will take yourself to the kitchen to get some food and drink. There are a few swords that normally take turns with kitchen duty so you expect to see one of them (Kasen, Azuki, Chiyoganemaru, Kuwana, Nikkou, or Mitsutada)

♡  However, instead you will see someone entirely different. There, struggling to crack eggs into a bowl without the shells, will be Izuminokami. His hair will be pulled back in a tight ponytail and adorn on him will be a pink apron... A little too small for how tall he is. His face pull of concentration as Horikawa cheers him on and tries to help him.

♡  He almost doesn't notice you until you let out a small snicker at the sight you see. His expression will quickly change from total focus to total surprise. Probably dropping the egg in the process as his face lights up like a Christmas tree.

Izuminokami: H-Hey! You're not suppose to be awake yet!! Horikawa: Well you have messed up quite a bit, Kane-san. I'm not too surprise they are awake by now... Izuminokami: S-Shut it, Kunihiro!

♡  It is very clear that Izuminokami is the one that is mostly helping the cooking progress while Horikawa is the one actually cooking and getting stuff done. They are making (Your favorite breakfast food). From just the look of the kitchen... Izuminokami has messed up. A ton of times.

♡  After the meal is finally done, Izuminokami will bring it out to you and serve it with (your favorite flower) on the side.

♡  The messy apron finally off of him and he sits beside you, giving you a small kiss on the cheek.

♡  "Happy birthday, my beloved."

♡  The rest of the day goes the same as normal (minus the part of everyone wishing you happy birthday and giving you gifts throughout the day when they catch you). The only thing different is that Izuminokami makes sure that today is your special day and you don't have to work. No paperwork for you! It's your day and you deserve to enjoy it!

♡  Izuminokami is around you for most of the day but doesn't want to crowd you because he knows you have a lot of swords lining up to give you gifts.

♡  He doesn't give you a gift. Not until much later.

♡  The sun has already fell and the both of you are getting ready for bed. Once you are climbed into the bed, Izuminokami leaves and comes back with a small box. He sits next to you and tells you to open it.

♡  When you open it up, you will find half a heart. Pulling it out, you will realize that it's a necklace with a blue gem at the top and Kane-san inscribed onto it (because no way is Izuminokami going to fit on there).

♡  As you look over, you will see that Izuminokami pulls out the necklace from under his shirt that has your name and your (favorite color) gem also on it. He had been wearing it the whole day.

♡  "I know it's hard to forget this handsome face but I wanted to give you something where we are always together. No matter how long we are apart. I know I can be dumb and reckless at times, but you keep me grounded and loved. I don't ever want to lose that. I want to spend many more birthdays with you and always keep you close to my heart. Happy birthday, Y/N."

♡  Once Mutsunokami finds out about birthdays and that your birthday was coming up, he starts planning! He wants to make the day super special and gets everyone involved to do that for you.

♡ Mutsunokami has always been the type of person that takes a bunch of photos with the camera you bought for him. He loves it so much. His gun and camera are his babies. So it is no surprise whenever he pulls it out and takes pictures of the two of you. Those are his favorite photos.

♡  Mutsunokami also has a little bit of a loud mouth. He will often let it slip about his plans and isn't good at covering it up. He will let it slip and instantly cover his mouth, letting you know it was something important and you weren't suppose to know yet.

♡  Though most of his plan is secretive! It's just... Not a big surprise that he has something planned for your birthday.

♡  The day starts off normal. You awaken in Mutsunokami's arms as he holds you close to his chest. For once, Mutsunokami isn't still passed out and you have to slither yourself out of his grasp. This morning, he is awake. He is smiling down at you as he whispers a faint "Happy Birthday" and giving your forehead a soft kiss.

♡  Your day starts off normal... Well, until you get to the kitchen and see that the citadel is empty. The both of you don't run into any swords and there is only two plates of hot food that await you both.

♡  Like always, Mutsunokami shovels all the food down in a fast pace like it is nothing big. This time, not waiting for you to finish your meal. Instead he gives you a quick peck on the cheek and tells you that he has to go do something and that he will be back later. Leaving you alone.

♡  The whole citadel is quiet as you finish your meal and take care of the few dishes that accumulated after the two of you ate.

♡  It is only when you leave the kitchen and go to the back do you see it.

♡  In the back are stands everywhere. All the swords that weren't there, now stand before you and in front of the festival they put together for you. All of them popping confetti and Mutsunokami coming out with your favorite type of cake in hand, a few candles on top.

♡  Everyone begins to sing happy birthday and awaits for you to blow out the candles.

♡  The whole citadel came together to make a festival with many games for you and the rest of the swords to enjoy together. Mutsunokami with a camera around his chest, taking pictures of the best moments he can capture.

♡  You spend your birthday playing all the games they put together; Goldfish scooping, Yo-yo fishing, Gun-shooting, Super ball scooping, and many more!

♡  Some stands have masks and others are food that swords made that they remember their master(s) loving.

♡  There is even a big performance at the end with all the Awataguchi swords (minus Onimaru. No way you are getting Onimaru to sing and dance)! The show ends with fireworks and Mutsunokami by your side.

♡  It is when the day calms down and everyone is cleaning up, that Mutsunokami takes you to the side. He helps you up onto the roof where you two can relax and look at the stars. He gently holds your hand as he hands over a decent size box with wrapping.

♡  Inside is a photo album of pictures of all the swords in the citadel when they first arrived, as well as moments of them hanging out with you. There is many pictures of the two of you together.

♡  The very last picture is the two of you kissing with the small caption; "The only person I want to seize the world with."

♡  Under the writing is a necklace with a locket. In the locket is the same picture so you can keep it with you at all times.

♡  "You brought me to life, aruji (master). For that, I will forever be grateful. You have taught me so much about the world and let me see so much. The thing I am most grateful for is being taught how to love. Everyday I learn something new about you and everyday I smile. I want to keep learning about the world and you. So this is my gift to you. A happy birthday now and many more happy birthdays in the future."

♡  Honebami asks many questions when he first learns of birthdays. This boy is very confused by the whole concept. He is willing the learn everything about it, though!

♡  Unlike Mutsunokami and Izuminokami, Honebami is very good at keeping secrets. So It will feel like he has forgotten about your birthday for a while. But he would never. He even wrote it down in his special journal to make sure he always remembers it.

♡  Honebami is actually quite good at planning without you knowing. He will still be around you the normal amount but will somehow be getting stuff done in preparation for your day.

♡  The day of your birthday, you wake up to the smell of fresh food. As you open your eyes, you see none other than Honebami. Normally he is already out of bed and doing the things he need to for the day. Very rarely waiting until you wake up. However, this time is different. Instead he is standing there with a tray in hand and some hot food on top.

♡  "Happy Birthday.."

♡  The second half more quiet as his cheeks start to burn and he looks down so his bangs hides his face from you.

♡  You enjoy your meal in bed with Honebami by your side, making sure he is taking care of you so you don't have to lift a finger.

♡  After you finish your meal, he takes the tray away to go clean. It is then when his brothers come in, wishing you a happy birthday. The little ones jumping on you and giving you hugs. They all give you cards and one big gift.

♡  In the big gift is a (favorite color) saddle!

♡  Once Honebami returns, you all go out into the barn to see an Anglo-Arabian horse. They all chipped in money to get you your very own horse to name. It is yours so they will never take it out to battle and you can spend time with them whenever you want. The little swords are all hopping around in excitement when they show you their big present to you.

♡  The rest of the day is pretty quiet. Some happy birthdays here and there, some cards and presents. Honebami steals you away around midday from everyone and offers to teach you horseback riding. If you already know, he offers for the both of you to go riding together.

♡  Honebami isn't the best at horseback riding. He is pretty fast on his own but he does know how to ride!

♡  If you are too scared to ride by yourself, he will ride on your horse with you. The stroll in the forest is just filled with you and him. It is mostly silent besides the birds chirping and the horse's soft sounds.

♡  He will ride out to an opening, where the pond is crystal blue, to rest. As the two sit by the shore, he will pull out a journal just for you. It will be a brown journal.

♡  Inside will be a letter to you every day he has known you. In it will be him describing everything he loves about you. Your eyes, your hair, the way you smile, the way you look when you first awake, the soft hugs you give that make him feel so secure, your voice, your kindness, the moment he realized he fell in love with you and knew you'd be the only one for him.

♡  It's everything he could never say in words.

♡  The very last page was written just the night before. His hand now entwined with yours as you read.

♡  "You are probably very well aware of how it's hard for me to expression feelings and emotions to you verbally. Yet you still love me even though I struggle in showing you in return how much I love you. I cherish that so much about you. This journal is something I have been working on for a long while. Anytime you went to sleep, I would say up and write. This is everything I have trouble saying to you. These are my feelings written down for you to read anytime you may doubt my devotion to you. You mean the world to me so... All I ask of you is to look at me one more time in this moment."

♡  As your head turns to him, you will be greeted with a soft smile on his lips and love in his eyes. "I love you, Y/N."

Your eyes blink owlishly at the figure beside you, a tail of shimmering amber that shudders in the moonlight, a beacon of the sun against the dull silver of nightly sands; captivating you, over and over and over again.

How could you not?

When he stands out like that against the rocks of grey and jewels, and he is the crown jewel out of all of these imperfect pearls.

“Love?”

You jolt from your reverie, eyes wide as you glance at the merfolk beside you, the scent of the sea filling your nostrils as you notice his closeness to you. Your cheeks flush red, gasping for air even though you were not able to drown in pure oxygen.

You could drown in those honey colored eyes though, willingly.

“Y-Yes?”

“What were you thinking about?” Mutsunokami cocks his head to the side, a puppy instead of a shark. You let out a giggle as the mental image fills your head. “What’s so funny?!” a pout decorates the seaman’s lips, fangs glistening in the moonlight. “I just wanted to ask about your wish!”

“But if I tell you, wouldn’t it not come true?” you say between you little giggles, the other stunned into silence, mouth slightly ajar as the gears untangle themselves from seaweed and muck, churning back to life.

“You…you’re right.”

There is a soft chuckle from your lips, “Then may I ask what you wished for?”

Mutsunokami falls silent, a soft hum leaving his lips. “It already came true.” His eyes shimmer brighter than the sunken treasure he always gifted you, carefully preserved under the depths. “It’s the best wish anyone could ask for.”

You still, letting out a small hum of curiosity. “It did?”

He presses his lips against yours in a sudden fluid fashion, like the waves he was born from; crashing against the shores of your soul.

You wish it could never end.

General Mutsunokami Yoshiyuki Headcanons

If Mutsunokami is your starter sword and you introduced him to technology and other worldly stuff, oh man would his eyes light up. A big ol’ puppy. Would wait by your office every day in order for a new lesson. You can almost see a tail wagging, “Master! What are you going to teach me today??? I’m ready! I’ll listen to everything you say!”

Of course you two start off with cameras. He had them during his time but they were clunky and not at all portable like modern cameras. Of course you go for a Polaroid, it brings out photos instantly! You first show him how to use it by taking a picture of his smiling face which can cure every single illness known to man and man is it the cutest thing ever. You give it to him and he immediately tells you to keep it, it’s your memory and if you two are together (or have feelings for each other) he’ll claim that it’s a little piece of him to remember whenever he goes on a long mission. 

If you two are dating/haven’t confessed, the first picture Mutsunokami takes is of you! He keeps it with him whenever he goes on long missions, a piece of you!! If you two are merely having a platonic relationship, Mutsunokami will immediately run outside and snap a picture of the others just relaxing - most likely will take a picture of the tantous since they are so rambunctious. When they do notice him taking their photo, they swarm him and demand him to take more pictures. You immediately have to buy more film and tons of photo albums for him. 

And then you introduce him to cellphones and the pictures they can take. Of course he won’t bring a cellphone on a mission but expect him to steal your phone a lot. He’ll take pictures of random people around the citadel all the time! You will wake up to find out that you ran outta storage pretty quickly. You do get him his own phone though.

Lord help you when he finds out about Youtube, memes, and other social medias. He is doing nothing but spamming the internet with photos of the citadel, thirst traps, memes, and all sorts of things!

But when he finds out that you can speak another language oh man he begins asking you about EVERYTHING! He will never leave your side, sticking by you as you explain to him grammar, how to speak, cultural norms, little trivia - the way his eyes light up just...oh god it’s the best. 

He will begin to have conversations with you in the languages you teach him, confusing everyone else around the citadel - especially the ones who think you are talking shit about them. It’s nothing but compliments, you swear!

If you take him out into the world and to a cruise ship? Man you’ll lose him. He’s gone in a second. He has already explored half of the ship by the time you step on to the damn thing, marveling at its large size.

He is of course much more worldly smart than the rest of the Touken Danshi, who might take extra lessons to understand everything. Sure he will ask questions when he’s confused and he isn’t as bright as say...Yagen or someone else but he does catch on quick when it comes to learning about new things! His brain is like a sponge in that aspect.

To quote John Mulaney: “STREET SMARTS” he has more street smarts than book smarts. 

The thing he won’t understand the most though? Might have to be...cars. Yeah you go nyoom but like....its tight and cramped inside??? No??? thanks???????? Probably gets car sick. Doesn’t like motorcycles either, even though he would love the feeling of wind through is air. 

And then you tell him about airplanes. Mutsunokami loses his fucking mind. The minute he sees one in the sky, he has to stop and stare. Flying?? Humans have achieved flight?????? They don’t have to wait forever on a ship anymore??? He will prefer travel by boat most of all but like, take him to an airport. He’ll become lost within 0.0009 seconds. 

You also need to keep a leash/eye on him whenever you two go out to the city. You’ll lose him so fucking fast.

Arcades. Oh man Mutsunokami will adore arcades.

If you two ever make plans to travel overseas, Mutsu will be more than ready to flex his language knowledge! He’ll light up whenever he gets something right!

Will love to learn English, Spanish, Dutch, and Portuguese the most!

Mutsunokami Yoshiyuki Relationship Headcanons (GN!Reader)

♡  Mutsunokami would be your best friend before dating, especially if he was your starter sword. He is the type of guy that would just stay up all night with you and talk about everything. It wasn't uncommon for the sword to see you and then Mutsunokami following. He was either there to help or distract, normally the latter.

♡  It takes Mutsunokami a little bit to realize that he is falling for you. It is one day, he sees you with some of the little swords that a smile is brought to his face and feel his heart starting to beat faster as he watches. As soon as he realizes this, he blushes and panics. Probably rushing off to the rooftops to clear his head a bit.

♡  He distances himself from you a little. Normally he wouldn't be shy to affection and hugging you whenever he got excited but that changes when he starts to believe he is falling for you. He isn't separating from you because he wants to lock his feelings away! Oh no! Mutsunokami is one of the swords that is very willing to fall in love but he wants to make sure his feelings for you are true!

♡  You will have to deal with a couple weeks of Mutsunokami not being around you and actually volunteering for missions more often. He wants to get away from you to clear his head and make sure his feelings for you are true. So when he realizes how much he thinks about you when you aren't around, how distracted his gets on missions, and how much he misses you, he realizes then he is in love with you.

♡  Mutsunokami is a pretty romantic and affectionate person... But he also has no clue how to confess to someone. Sure, his former master was a loyal married man... But he didn't get tips from him on how to confess to someone!

♡  Instead, he made up his mind. He decided that he will follow his heart and confess to you as soon as he gets back.

♡  There you were, waiting for the unit to come back home. As soon as they teleported back, you couldn't even direct the wounded to the infirmary... Instead Mutsunokami took your whole view as he engulfed you in a tight hug. He whispers into your ear;

♡  "I missed you so much, aruji. I always wanted to see the world and seize it... But I realize that means nothing to me without you by my side, helping me on the journey. I want to see the world with you because... I love you."

♡  He would pull away and patiently await your response. If you need more time to think about it (it was out of no where), he totally understands. If you reject him, he would let you go and apologize for suddenly springing that onto you.

♡  However, if you say accept, he would kiss you right then and there. For the whole citadel to see.

♡  As stated above, he is a big affectionate bear! There will not be a day that goes by that you aren't in his arms at least once. He loves hugging you and giving you his affection!

♡  Cuddles are also very nice. He loves you laying on his chest as he runs his fingers through your hair (if you have any). He likes being the big spoon but doesn't mean he won't also be the small spoon if you want!

♡  Also loves laying on your lap. Don't be surprised if you're trying to work and then you suddenly have your (starter) sword laying his head on your lap. It's his favorite spot!! He sleeps so well there!!

♡  For hobbies, if you are interested on learning how to wield a gun, he will teach you! He wants to spend time with you doing anything. So if he can teach you something he really loves then it's even better!!

♡  Mutsunokami can't cook... Don't even try to ask him to cook you anything. He will bring you food in bed, though! Though... you will most likely wake up before him. He sleeps in very late.

♡  Speaking of that... You might be stuck in his arms all morning because he is a heavy sleeper and will just trap you in his embrace. You try to leave and he will just grumble, pulling you closer into his chest.

♡  Another thing, he is a very big eater. If you like cooking, he will eat everything you make. He loves food and will eat everything!! Even the spicy food that he is weak to. For his love, he will suffer.

♡  Mutsunokami is a best friend and a lover. He will still stay up very late with you, talking about everything and nothing. Anything you wish to complain about or just discuss, he is there. He loves to hear you talk and try to help. He might not be able to give the best advice but he will try and embrace you if things get too emotional.

♡  He does that for you but with his own emotions, he isn't as healthy. Mutsunokami is the type to push off things and smile about it. Jokes like it doesn't matter and he isn't hurting. He might also distance himself from you when he is hurting because he does not want to worry you. He doesn't want to let you see him crying or hurting... So he simply pretends he doesn't hurt.

♡  If you send him on the special investigation: Bunkyuu Tosahan, expect all this and more. His happiness he shows you will feel very artificial. His smiles clearly fake. He will separate from you as much as he can to hide his suffering. He understands that everything he has to do is to protect history and would never go against your word.

♡  Please hug him. He won't talk about how he is feeling but you will feel his body start to tremble, then shake violently. His silent sobs barely noticeable as he hides his face in your shoulder. Just hold him and make sure he knows you are there. Even if he shows sadness, it doesn't mean he is weak or you think any less of him.

♡  He will lift his head slowly, as he calms down. That familiar smile on his face, real and bright, as his eyes are red and you see the last few tears going down his cheek. He will thank you and tell you that he loves you, before giving you a soft kiss.

Music Headcanons: Mutsunokami Yoshiyuki, Yamanbagiri Kunihiro, Hachisuka Kotetsu

Oo the starter swords, I got a special place in my heart for these lot. I sorry if these short lmao

Mutsunokami Yoshiyuki

See, MuMu adores music. Folk songs especially. He sings a lot so don’t be surprised if you hear him randomly belting out songs from Tosa! He has such a good voice, change my mind. 

Mucchan adores songs that more or less tell a story, folk songs that tell of tales of bravery and strife. 

Most of all, Mucchan loves sea shanties. It’s probably because he adores the ocean and boats in general. Especially if they tell a story. Think that Wellerman song on tiktok!

He would also adore all kinds of foreign music. Going back to the idea that Mucchan would love learning new languages, he would of course adore all kinds of foreign music! Celtic music the most probably, since they have a sense of adventure in them; something he adores.

That isn’t to say he won’t listen to other music! He will happily do so! Don’t be surprised if he will sing along to it, no matter what language it is! He may not be uber fluent in the said language but he’s trying his best! Besides, sometimes music can help you learn languages! 

100% that person who uses music to work out, sea shanties are great for doing chores and just existing in general!

Would also have a record player in his room, just for the aesthetic. He would almost collect music players at this rate!

To help him sleep at times he plays instrumental music or ambiance. Most of the time it’s of the sea, he makes sure that his room is farthest away from Hotarumaru and Horikawa though, so they won’t have to hear the sounds of the ocean and uh...get PTSD

Mucchan will also sing for you as well! Or anyone else that is listening at least. He’ll sing for the kids, for you, for his partner or whomever he is dating, so on and so forth! He adores music in general so of course he’s going to share his love for it loud and proud! 

Is also one of the sword warriors more than willing to learn a musical instrument 

Yamanbagiri Kunhiro

He’s more of a person who will listen to songs of self-worth, or something peppy to take his mind off of things. He doesn’t have a lot of confidence after all, so listening to songs to help boost it do help! He wants to be better for you, platonically or romantically. 

Kiwame Manba will still listen to songs that will lift up his spirits but it’s more so for background music as he does work. Normal Manba doesn’t listen to music while he’s working as he’s worried that he might not be able to focus on the task at hand and fuck up and thus earn your ire. But Kiwame Manba will know that you’ll be fine if a lil mistake happens while he’s listening to music. 

When Manba sings, he’s very shy about it and most of the time he will be singing soft songs that he listens to or the songs that the AWT48 have made. Kiwame Manba will be more than happy to sing for you, if you so ask him. Normal Manba will only sing by himself, soft murmuring when he thinks no one is listening to him. Will flush if someone does hear him sing though. He has a nice voice!

Yamanbagiri has a secret fondness for love songs, finding the dedication to someone sweet. 

Don’t be surprised if you catch him listening to classical music, or folk songs, or even songs that the others recommend him! He has a bit of a hard time saying ‘no’ to anything so he’ll collect a lil treasure trove of music in his device or CDs, whatever have you!

A song that I think Manba will enjoy is Masayume Chasing by BoA (because i adore BoA) the right kind of peppy and good message sending out. Catch him humming along to the song, maybe dancing along to it when he comes back to Kiwame; and then almost freezing in fear when someone catches him. 

Like Mutsunokami, Manba will also have a record player. Sometimes he’ll play music on it, but it’s mostly there for collection. It looks pretty cool on his room after all!

Manba doesn’t listen to much when he sleeps. Nighttime does give him time to be alone with his thoughts and sometimes they are just too much. He will turn on music to try and relax, blasting Masayume Chasing in his room to chill tf out or something like a guitar! 

Kiwame Manba will 100% be ready to learn how to play music, most likely piano though. 

Hachisuka Kotetsu

First off, Hachisuka’s voice is nice, I just wanna let y’all know before I continue. He is also a man who will want to learn how to play an instrument, shamisen, piano, violin, flute, don’t matter yo. He wants to learn! He adores music, and will often play for Urashima.

Urashima on the other hand probably listens to a lot of music and shares it with his big bros. Most of the music influence comes from Urashima yes, but Hachisuka will 100% want to play something for him. Nagasone is debatable but anything to make Urashima happy!

Don’t be surprised if Hachisuka learns how to play the instrumental version of a popular song on whatever instrument he’s playing! lmao watch him do instrumental covers of tkrb songs

Hachisuka does sing and claims he’s good at it, he is and will happily sing for Urashima and company if Urashima asks for it specifically. 

Would he listen to other foreign songs? Classics like Bach, Mozart, etc and such are a big fat yes. 

A song that Hachisuka will like are classical songs that are almost...epics in themselves? Similar to the ballads that Mucchan listens to, I think of Alan’s Shin Sen. 

Like the others above, Hachisuka will happily have a record player, but it’s along the lines of a gramophone? Ye olde aesthetic man, he wants it there just to look pretty as fuck. Will most likely ask for a piano, violin, flute, or maybe even a music room though!

He won’t mind cover songs that other artists do, but he cannot help but feel like they cannot capture the original. Perhaps this relates to himself and his beliefs but why ruin an original? Maybe he’ll find himself bopping to it in secret? Who knows? No one does except Urashima and maybe Nagasone. 

When he sleeps, he will prefer some music to drown out the snoring of Nagasone. He seems to sleep more peacefully to the sound of traditional Japanese music though.
