Hot, mysterious, "hmmm I know that face", had this edge about him that had me lean closer to my tv and go "okay, interesting, go on"

The love of my life, a mark on my soul, the blueprint for a Comfort Character™, my #1 TV Dad, must be protected at all cost mostly from himself

Favorite moment:

How can I pick just one? My favorite kinds of his moments are when he gets feral protective over his baby girl (like in 1x07 or 4x08) or any alteration of "I won't let anything happen to you" because all I hear is "I love you"

Extra kudos for all the shirtless scenes 😏

Idea for a story:

One that has been recently lurking at the edge of my mind is giving him an AU where basically everything is the same except his parents are alive — mostly because I want to write them interacting with Kory and the kids

Unpopular opinion:

He gets waaaay too much crap from the fandom, for even the littlest things. He's a flawed character who makes stupid mistakes sometimes. If he was perfect all the time, he'd be boring. He doesn't have to be the best leader, an A+ father figure 100% of the time or constantly kissing the earth the woman he loves walks on to be a good character. Don't like his storyline? Shit on the writers, it's their fault.

Favorite relationship:

There's only one answer to that, always will be.

His light in the darkness. His turning point. His true north. He wouldn't be the man he is now if it wasn't for this one little girl throwing a brick at a cop car and getting herself brought to his station. You can't deny that. The show doesn't. It reminds you, time and time again, who is his anchor. Who keeps him from slipping back into the dark.

Favorite headcanon:

He knows how to play guitar and a little bit of piano because the Haly Circus crew used to jam out all the time. His dad taught him the guitar, Clay was a master of keys and his mother had the voice of an angel and wrote her own songs.

Idea for a story:

A while back I wrote down some notes for a concept about adult Rachel and her relationship with teenage Mar'i, inspired by my own relationship with my older sister. There's 19 years between us and the difference between Rachel and Mar'i could end up being similar. I was thinking of writing her as a bestie but also the second mother, ride or die and voice of reason, "dad's gonna kill you" but also "dad's gonna kill both of us if he finds out so we're not gonna tell him". A lot of shenanigans, a lot of heart-to-heart.

Unpopular opinion:

She should have had the final fight with Brother Blood, since this whole thing was about and came from her brother, her heritage, her prophecy.

Favorite relationship:

The simplest reason is because I was just happy to see this child finally being loved. Finally having someone to believe in her and protect her. Finally knowing what it's like to have someone who cares. Finally being held and comforted and understood.

Favorite headcanon:

Girl can SING. But is shy as hell about it. Only Gar knows about it and only because he found out by total accident when he heard her belt out those Ariana Grande whistle notes like it's nothing. They keep it secret until Dickkory's wedding, where she gives a performance of a lifetime.

we kinda had a talk about it back before we were hired by cogs.. he was really upset and i was really worried about him.. he thought i wasnt gonna accept him because he was a toon

he cried so much that night.. and i told him honestly and i still stand by it even today. it doesnt matter if he was a toon once, or that hes a suit now.. hes the only person who’s shown me any kind of compassion since i gained consciousness. hes the only one who protected me, or showed me it doesnt matter how physically beyond repair i am, that i am still worth effort..

it was a weird night because we talked about so much.. in the end we came out a family and havent really gone back since. i wouldnt trade mundie for anything in the whole wide world

What are your thoughts on Daniel Sousa?

Yes! I’m sorry it’s been so long Anon!

I love him. He’s so well written. I have a lot of thoughts about his arc in s1 of Agent Carter, and I’ve talked about a few of them before so I’ll just zoom in on one for now.

The way he reacts to Peggy’s “betrayal” is very telling. It really puts all his cards out on the table. I’ll try to lay it out chronologically.

1. Peggy Is “The Killer”

When Daniel first discovers that Peggy is the one the SSR has been chasing, his first reaction is, understandably, disbelief. What’s interesting is where that disbelief comes from. It probably comes from a few places: he’s been standing up for her, he feels betrayed by that. She has spent so long convincing everyone that she would never be Howard Stark’s lackey, but here she is, seemingly helping him commit treason. She’s killed someone— something which totally goes against the image of Peggy Daniel has in his head. There must be so much conflicting information in his head that he’s struggling to put it all together.

2. The conclusions he draws

With that information on the table, it’s fair that he feels betrayed. What makes his reaction more interesting though, and a bit more disappointing, is that he seems to take that disillusionment and uses it to reduce Peggy down to what the rest of the men think of her: that she’s just Howard’s puppet. It could be argued that he uses phrases like “Stark’s in so deep he’s scrambled your brain” as a way to provoke her into talking since he knows she hates being perceived that way. But I think a part of him believed it. Peggy wasn’t who she said she was, so why should her independence be any different?

3. He trusts her anyway

After all that, it’s truly astonishing that he still believes her when she presents what she knows to the SSR. It speaks very highly of his character that he’s still thinking clearly enough to weigh everything he knows about her and not just her recent betrayal when considering whether she’s telling the truth. Not to mention that Dooley and Thompson both look to Daniel for an impartial opinion even when they know he’s taken Peggy’s betrayal the hardest. He’s an excellent detective who is able to put his own feelings aside for the greater good.

This would also (3) help him not require to acclimate. Given that he should be able to just pull his mask off and take a deep breath, unclipping his mask would entail a few seconds of the filter mechanism would release oxygen in mid-conversion or something similar of acclimation, really. Please don't let me go through the Science of this, it's 5 AM from where I'm from and I just wanna cuddle this Kel Dor God of mine ♥

The Wolves Den is what I HC as the 104th's main hub where the Wolfpack hangs, resides, has their own designated 'barracks', sleeps, — like a 104th dedicated wing. This is also where Plo's sealed quarters would be.

Ki-Adi-Mundi is a skeptic who’s constantly proven wrong by the narrative. But it’s never because he’s arrogant or naive. He has no reason to believe the Sith returned or that Dooku is a murderer. There’s no evidence available to the characters that Mundi isn’t wrong. People act like his unwillingness to accept whatever fringe theory or hunch he’s presented with is some kind of character flaw

Yeah I think people forget that the Jedi were in peace time for thousands of years so Ki Adi Mundi's skepticism isn't unwarranted at all. It's like if someone told us that the ancient Babylonian Empire has returned to dominate the world or something.

12) what do you think your practice would taste like? If one could taste a magico-religious practice

Honestly, blood. Whatever blood can taste like. I've had moments where it's just metallic and asphyxiating, and others when it's pungent but peppery, almost floral.

I really wanted to say something normal, like bread, or milk, or some herbal tea. Or a passed down family recipe. I also thought of water and all that it represents to us. But realistically, it's just blood. I'm sorry if that answer is kind of predictable coming from me!

13) How does your craft feel in the spring vs in the darker months?

In my experience, the most tangible difference comes from the differences between Day Spirits, and Night Spirits. Traditionally, in my family, there's specific workings that we cannot do at night, the lack of sunlight means the Spirits that would be called are not the kind of spirits you'd want to call at all. This type of belief extends to seasons. Seasons stem from the natural changes in daylight hours available on Earth, and we see it as not just the plant life adapting to the colder months, but the spirits associated with the Land also adapting, hibernating, migrating (within this Realm or to other realms), or being in whatever way less available to us. Some, entirely unreachable.

In my opinion it's not that the Day and Night courts are "rotating" and one season or the other belongs entirely to one or the other court. It's simply that in the darker months the tangible presence of the Night Court becomes most prevalent, dominant, due to the absence of most of the Day Court, and viceversa. But they're always coexisting to varying degrees.

In my family that means we begin the warm months in August-September, awakening and feeding the earth and then slowly welcoming back the different allies and relatives of my spirit family throughout the next spring and summer months, as they come and as we get to spend time with them. It reaches a peak in December, with Solar festivities. Then starts to decline again throughout the next months, until we reach the "Lunar" peak, and the weakest moment of the Sun and Day court, in June with the Longest Night of the year. My seasonal calendar isn't just depending on daylight hours, but also on the apparent cycles of certain sacred constellations across the sky, so throughout the year I'm paying attention to Them and working with each as they come and go aswell, for example, the Southern Cross's rotation marks some special dates for me in regards to the fertility of the Land and to the Beloved Dead, or the Pleiades appearing and disappearing, carrying messages and omens, bringing with them certain Spirits and their influence, and taking them away as they go.

It feels like a family reunion that lasts months instead of hours. When people just start arriving, when there's feast and stories and sharing and warmth, and then everyone starts saying their goodbyes again, until next year. Summer is the height of the party. Winter is the only time of the year that reflects what you'd normally imagine from everyday family life, when it's just me and the Spirits that walk with me, that "live with me in that house", so to speak. In practicality, that means more outwards work during the warmer months (in relation to the Land and Spirits that are tied to different kinds of cyclical natures), more inwards work and "housekeeping" of my own courts during the cold dark months. There's still some work to do with perennial spirits during the winter (for example, La Dolorosa and The Wild King, and their respective courts, are mostly unaffected by the seasons) but it's still a smaller workload in general when in comparison to the warm months.
