The teenager has "Bohemian Rhapsody" and "American Pie" on a playlist and of course we both sing along whenever they come on, which always (1) gives me a delightful moment of cross-generational connection and (2) makes me wonder how widespread it is that people know these very long wordy and weird songs. Especially since I did not indoctrinate the kids with either song, unless you count playing the Muppets version of "Bohemian Rhapsody" when they were toddlers.

cant tell you how bad it feels to constantly tell other artists to come to tumblr, because its the last good website that isn't fucked up by spoonfeeding algorithms and AI bullshit and isn't based around meaningless likes
