「 extemporaneous 」 — 06 ☾
— pairing: multi; shoto x reader, izuku x reader (so FAR...) — genre: hybrid au, slow burn-ish, reverse harem — wc: 3.8k — rated: sfw — notes: my stupid ass went to post this and then realised that I never actually crossposted chapter 5 on here. oopsies! uwu. anyway my libido has been popping off lately so if there is no smut in the next one then it will probs be the one after that teehee!
You've never really had much to do with hybrids, existing in your own little bubble for a majority of your life. That comes to an end when your friend phones you for help and somehow you end up taking two hybrids off of her hands while they recuperate in the wake of an unfortunate incident. But when the time comes that they have to leave, will you really want them to go?

Tumblr media
Things haven’t really been the same since that morning. From a ‘platonic roommate’ perspective, that isn’t something to be happy about.
From your perspective though, as someone very much attracted to her roommates and increasingly aware of the subtle tension brewing in the air between the three of you, there isn’t a single part of you that can find the will to complain about it.
Much deliberation occurred after you startled the two hybrids into checking on you that morning. You’d spent a majority of the ensuing shower with your forehead pressed to the tile, trying desperately to use the cool surface as a means of reducing the heat in your face. It didn’t work, and for once the scalding water temperature you normally enjoy bathing in wasn’t to blame.
You thought about a lot of things while you lingered in the glass and tile prison, spending much longer in there than you really needed to. At that point it was more for the sake of your sanity.
Try as you might, you could hardly stop yourself replaying the previous events, focusing on the flustered reactions of your company. You were so embarrassed, but that’s mostly on account of how riled up you’d gotten as a result. Every so often you had to take disciplinary action against your own brain for the recurring deviant thoughts and slam (read: hit hard enough that it sent the message but not hard enough your roommates came running again) your head against the wall with a groan.
Most problematic of your shower-time revelations is the fact that you can no longer ignore the attraction to your roommates that has been steadily building over their stay here. Actually, that’s a lie-- the most problematic revelation is how badly you want to act on that attraction.
This isn’t a work environment and they aren’t employees, but it feels almost unprofessional to have these feelings for the hybrids you are currently offering safe haven to. Then again, you remind yourself that they are both intelligent and consenting adults and have enough bodily autonomy to be able to refuse or accept any advances that may occur. Having said that, you would like to think that they wouldn’t feel pressured or obligated on account of living with you for free should any moves be made. Yet at the same time, you can’t be sure. There’s more unknowns than you’re comfortable with in this situation.
At the end of it all, you concluded that there’s not really anything you can do about the feelings at this point, but at the same time you’re not in a position to act on them.
Ah, an impasse. It’s as relieving as it is frustrating to have the luxury of choice taken from you.
You might have left that ensuite a different woman to when you entered, but that had nothing to do with the rapid shift that has occurred between you all since.
//
“Izuku…. Give it.”
His nose twitches, eyes bright and tracking your every movement with something indiscernible gleaming behind his irises. The laundry hamper stands as the only obstacle between you. Your hands are raised, an attempt to lower his guard by appearing harmless, but Izuku’s hawk-like gaze is locked on your stance as you gradually ease around the side of the woven basket towards him. He counters each tiny step you take with one of his own in the same direction, leaving you both in a stalemate of sorts.
“What do you mean?” Izuku asks innocently, his soft voice raising in pitch towards the end. He apparently finds this hilarious. Ordinarily you probably would too, but currently your shoulders are too heavy with the burden of an impending deadline for you to really enjoy his sudden cheeky manoeuvre.
“I’m just doing the washing. The hamper was getting full, you know?”
“I need that shirt, Izuku.” You decide to be direct, pointing at the button-down currently in his grasp. He plays with the material, ruffling the soft weave in his hand. His eyes flick only once down to the garment before returning o you.
“What shirt?”
Huffing, annoyed but more so endeared, you decide to play along for now. “The one in your hand, with the light grey dots. I need it. Could I please have it?”
He shoves it to his cheek, giving it a subtle sniff. His ears twitch, playful, as his forest-hued eyes bore into you and he clicks his tongue softly. “This? It’s dirty. Dirty clothes gotta go in the wash.”
Apparently not so dirty that it couldn’t touch his face, though. Your lips twitch with the urge to smile.
“Okay, true, but counter-point: I need it right now.” You might be allowed to dress like a slob on the days you’re working from home but that doesn’t mean you can stay dressed like that for any zoom meetings that might pop up – like the one scheduled for an hour from now.
As much as you’re enjoying this, you’re actually expecting Izuku to cave any second now and hand the shirt over.
So it comes as a surprise when one of his dark brows lift, his lids lower, and he says with a curling simper, “What will you give me for it?”
You blink. “Sorry?”
“If you need it so bad, what will you give me for it?” Izuku shakes his head, dark lashes fluttering against his cheeks as he clicks his tongue again. “You’re throwing a wrench in my laundry plans here, Yona. Gotta make it worth my while now the groove has been interrupted.”
He is being so uncharacteristically bold, with such ease, that the only conclusion you can draw is that this is in fact in character for him, just a part of it you’ve yet to encounter.
The realisation makes a flurry of paper-thin wings flutter against your insides. A warm shiver flushes up your arms.
“You’re holding my shirt hostage?!” A laugh tumbles from you before you can stop it. “I’m not gonna reinforce negative habits, no matter how cute you are. Hand it over, buddy.”
You might have thought Izuku would balk, but if anything he seems thrilled at your response. A hand flies to his chest. “Is this what you think of me, Yona? How cruel. I was going to be nice and give it to you but now I have to stand by my initial offer and demand something in exchange.”
You attempt to round the hamper again, taking a step to the right. He takes a step to the left. You are back where you started. This won’t do. Your eyes pin to the shirt, and his gaze follows. A few long, loaded seconds pass by.
“… What do you want?”
Something absolutely devious catches the light in his eyes. His fingers tap against the bunched up material of the shirt. “It’s nothing much.”
“Mhmm. Okay then, what is it?”
“Really, it’s just something small.”’
Your eyes narrow as you pin him with a suspicious look. You’re no longer sure you want to let him lead this negotiation.
“Uh-huh. Okay. Well how about--”
You don’t finish what you’re saying, instead putting all your energy into your legs and lunging at the poor hybrid, attempting to take him by surprise and grab the shirt before he can realise your intention.
“Yona!”
Izuku, like any respectable prey animal would, saw your moves coming from a while away. Unsurprisingly, this gives him a head start as he pivots on his heel and darts away with a delighted laugh.
The little jerk is quick, you’ll give him that, but you’re also not too out of practice with your own cardio. You chase him through a decent portion of the apartment, down hallways and around corners and crying out “Cheating! That’s cheating!” when the hybrid leaps with unfettered grace and sheer athleticism over the couch.
Surprisingly, at some point amongst the laughter and aching limbs, you manage to snatch the shirt. The feeling of victory is brief, though. Izuku immediately takes this as a personal affront and like a classic Tom & Jerry skit you quickly become the one being chased.
“You’re being unreasonable!” you say, yelping inbetween breathless giggles as his fingers graze the skin of your waist. Shit, that was close. Considering he’s a rabbit, he’s way better at chasing than he is at being chased. You skid around a corner and bolt for the hallway that houses the bedrooms. If you can get into your room quick enough, you might just be able to close the door in time to shut him out.
Possibly.
“I’m not the reason negotiations broke down!” Izuku’s ears flop with each bounding step he takes, his eyes bright with mischief and face flushed in slight exertion. You hate how the glimpse of him you see over your shoulder makes your own face heat even more and your gut clench.
A retort is just forming on your tongue when a door opens ahead of you, Shoto’s curious face and one broad shoulder peeking out from behind the doorframe. His mismatched eyes are quick to assess the situation.
“Shoto!” you cry, sending him a look that you hope comes across as pleading and not desperate. “Help!”
He blinks, a lazy smile beginning to tug his lips by the corners, as you bound his way. You think with relief that at least one of the hybrids is on your side. Shoto’s arm shoots out, but instead of stopping the rabbit hot on your heels like you anticipated, it winds around your waist, muscle thick and unforgiving.
“Shoto!” you squawk, your feet dangling as the hybrid winds his other arm around your waist and yanks you from the hallway, your back flush against his chest. “Traitor! I trusted you.”
“Not sure why,” he humms, voice a hypnotic dulcet lull in your ear. He has you lifted so that your eyes are almost even, and he takes the opportunity to nuzzle wherever he can reach, nosing along the column of your neck and below your ear. A shiver rolls down your spine before you can stop it.
“Nice, Sho,” Izuku beams, coming to a stop right before you. A soft thudding noise guides your eyes to the floor, where they catch sight of the hybrids foot thumping against the wood as fast as it physically can. Odd, but somehow terribly cute.
“Finally.”
The rabbit hybrid ignores the shirt still clutched in your grasp and pretty much dives into your neck, nose dragging along the side left empty of Shoto’s own ministrations. A pleased hum rumbles in his chest, and you can’t help but squeak as the single drop of sweat that has formed and begun to slide down your neck is quickly swiped up by his tongue.
You gotta get out of here before you actually explode– your skin feels so flushed you’re sure you have to be only a degree or so away from spontaneous human combustion.
“Are you serious?” you whine, but your worlds tumble into a laugh at the end. Shoto’s hair is beginning to tickle the hell out of you. “You held my shirt hostage because you needed to top up on your scenting? Why didn’t you just ask?”
“Because you’re impatient and tried to steal the shirt before I could,” Izuku snickers, pulling back with a devious grin. You’re so unused to seeing it on his face that it makes your heart skip an actual beat. “I guess you can have it now though. You said you needed it right?”
Oh shit, that’s right.
“Oops, yeah, I do,” you say, beginning to wriggle out of Shoto’s hold. Somewhat reluctantly, he allows you to return to the floor, but his hands remain glued to your hips. “I have a zoom meeting in like half an hour and have to look presentable at least from the waist up.”
Izuku sniffs, sensing this abrupt playtime has now run its course. “Boooo.”
Shoto might have allowed your feet back on the floor, but that didn’t mean he had given up on making sure every square inch of your neck and shoulder carried whatever unique scent he gave off. He suddenly pauses as his nose crosses your pulse point, sniffing softly. Your entire body flushes in response.
“Hm. You smell a little different, Yona.”
Taking his moment of consideration as an opportunity to escape, you slip as gracefully as you can out of his arms. It’s actually a wonder you’re not insulted or embarrassed anymore at the mention of your “smell”. Your brows scrunch a little as you meet his puzzled gaze. “I do? Is it, like… in a bad way?”
“No.” Shoto shakes his head, already reaching for you to pull you back into his arms for round two. You smack his hand gently, your own head now shaking with a smile. He sends you the most criminal ‘kicked puppy’ eyes you’ve ever seen.
“Keep your paws to yourself, sir. I gotta go put this on and finish up some work before the meeting.” You’re already beginning to walk backwards in the direction of your room. They both have the audacity to look kind of bummed, so you bite back a smile and offer instead, “We can cuddle on the couch after I’m finished and watch that anime you guys have been talking about…?”
“Deal,” Shoto says, before Izuku can even blink. The smaller hybrid is then grasped by the shirt and yanked unceremoniously in the bedroom, a meaningful look sent his way when he gives Shoto a questioning glance. “We’ll wait until then. Have fun in the meeting.”
You roll your eyes at the teasing lilt in his tone. He knows you won’t have fun, considering it’s been scheduled for going over some truly tedious training modules. “Sure. See you guys again in like three hours.”
They look a little suspicious, you note as you retreat to your room. You catch sight of them whispering amongst themselves, before they disappear from your view and leave you stewing in your own curiosity.
Man, sometimes you hate working from home. Those two are walking the walking incarnation of temptation.
//
You find out three days later why you would have smelt different to the heightened senses of your hybrid roommates.
Mother nature has come calling with a bloody fist banging on your door.
You’re a little wary of this cycle, if only because you opted to skip your last one and historically whenever you do that the next one you actually allow to happen arrives with some nasty cramps. You’ve actually already called in sick from work since a migraine has begun to form, along with the typical aches you experience on the first day or so. You desperately crave a coffee too, but know from unfortunate experience that having one is literally the worst idea right now.
The house is quiet, enough so that as you step slowly from your room you think the other two are still asleep. You spent the last three days in the office, which is a little unusual since most of your work occurs from home, and both hybrids have expressed varying degrees of disappointment that you have to spend so much time out of the house.
(It’s endearing that they seem to miss you when you’re gone, but you haven’t told them that.)
A sound behind you has you absolutely jumping out of your skin, ripping you from your thoughts as you spin around with a hand to your galloping heart.
“Yona,” Izuku whines, something hot shooting up your spine at the timbre of his voice as he does so. His hands are clutched together, clothing rumpled and hair somehow even more wild and disrupted than usual. He looks like he quite literally leapt from the sheets the second he heard you awake. “I know this is selfish to ask, but do you really have to leave for work again today?”
You look up to meet his beseeching gaze, allowing a moment for your heart rate to return to normal before responding.
Another rumbling, sleep-addled voice reaches your ears before you can do so. Shoto comes up behind Izuku, ears flicking atop his head as he rubs his eye. Your heart skips a beat at the sight they present, all mussed up and in varying degrees of disarray.
Behave, you have to scold yourself internally. You’re no better than an animal, honestly. Maybe you can pin it on hormones since they’re already making things so miserable for you right now.
“Just so you know, Yona, I am not above bribery, whatever it will take for you to work from home instead of—“ Shoto halts suddenly, heavily-lidded eyes flinging open in alarm. He abruptly surges forward, eyes scanning you from head to toe and hands already reaching out.
“Wait, you’re— Yona, why are you bleeding?!”
“Woah, woah, calm down, I’m okay!” You have to physically grab Shoto’s hands to stop him patting down your body like you’ve just walked through airport security and tripped the scanner. Izuku is quick to dart over with an equally alarmed expression. “I’m not hurt or anything, it’s just the monthly usual. I haven’t had one in a while, so you couldn’t have known, but I should have mentioned it so you weren’t so surprised. I’m sorry.”
You watch as the tension visibly leaves their bodies and they sag in relief. You are immediately gathered into the canine hybrid’s arms, the soothing scent of his conditioner allowing your own muscles to relax.
“Don’t do that again,” he scolds you, but there’s no heat to it. Not like you can actually help it anyway. He buries his face in your hair, a hand coming up to thread through the strands. Izuku’s own hands reach out to rub up and down your back from where he stands. “Thought you were dying, or something.”
Izuku snorts. “Like we wouldn’t notice it if she hurt herself badly enough to bleed like that.”
He pauses, then sniffs the air, face still twisted in concern. “Still, that’s a lot of blood… are you okay? Is that normal?”
“Unfortunately,” you answer, wishing not for the first time that wasn’t the case. Your voice is slightly muffled by the firm muscle of Shoto’s chest. “It’ll be done in a couple days or so, though.”
Shoto suddenly pulls back, thick brows drawn close and eyes pinning you with a look that somehow crosses the realms of both bossy and pouty. You gulp.
“You can’t go to work like this,” he says. It isn’t a question, more like a justification for something he is no doubt about to suggest.
“Already called in sick.” You give him finger guns and a wink, proud of yourself for the bare minimum in this moment.
Izuku’s entire face lights up at your words, and Shoto needs no further prompting to begin herding you into the closest bedroom, that being the one you see him leave most often.
“Wait, I was going out of my room to grab some painkillers–“
“We’ll take care of that,” Izuku hums, winding an arm through yours and pressing his cheek to the side of your head, before slipping away to retrieve said medication. You feel bad about them doing it for you, but you are quite literally too deep in the room at this point to stop them or argue back.
Despite knowing it is, in fact, a bedroom that belongs to you in a way, it feels odd to enter now. It’s no longer your territory, so to speak, so the fact that they are so willingly inviting you in means a lot.
Definitely wouldn’t be complaining if they were bringing me in here for other reasons either— you beat that thought back with a steel bat, cursing the horny monster that has recently taken up residence in the gutters of your brain.
Shoto comes to a stop at the foot of the bed and releases you, turning a critical eye to the mattress and all that sits atop it. The bed is roughly made with a fluffy comforter, and has a generous number of pillows scattered across the surface, including one in the shape of a peach. It looks wonderfully inviting, and you itch to be seated. Shoto wrinkles his nose, and you amend that observation; apparently something is lacking.
He holds your bicep with one hand and points at you with the other. “Stay here.”
You nod, amused, and watch as he leaves the room with cool, swift strides, face neutral. You have to close your eyes in order to summon the strength not to laugh.
His tail was wagging so fast it was practically a blur.
The two of them return at about the same time, Izuku with a suprise item (hot tea) and strip of tablets and Shoto with every single pillow you think you have ever owned piled up in his arms. You decide not to comment, and gratefully take Izukus offered goods as Shoto tears into the bed in an effort to get it ‘up to par’.
“Okay, it’s ready – get in.”
A few minutes later has you turning to take in Bed: Version 2.0. Your eyebrows shoot up at how he actually managed to fit most of the pillows on there while still making it look comfortable. Some pillows didn’t make the cut apparently, the peach one being one of them. That makes you kind of sad.
Shoto stands expectantly to the side, hand grasping the cover and keeping it pulled back for you. Izuku’s foot rapidly thumps on the floor before he is scurrying over to the other side and giving you a similar look of anticipation to his companion.
You can’t bite back the smile that breaks on your face as you follow their instructions and climb in, nestling right in the centre. Izuku dives in beside you, careful not to disrupt your drink on the bedside table, and winds his arm around you. The heat coming off them is incredibly pleasant, and you almost think you might not need a heat pack later after all.
Shoto pauses before climbing in, pointing at you with a tilt of his head. “Speak now if there is anything else you need to do, because I am feeling severely touch-starved and I don’t plan on stopping this cuddle session until at least one of us is asleep or three hours have passed.”
You snort, and his lips twitch. “I can’t guarantee I won’t have to get up at some point during that time but I otherwise agree to those terms.”
Shoto nods, apparently pleased with your cooperation and willingness to be a human teddy bear for the better part of the day, and proceeds to imitate Izuku by climbing into bed and clinging onto you like a koala.
“Excellent,” he rumbles, a pleased sound coming from his chest. “We have an alliance, then.”
Well, that’s what he said, but you can only pray he remembered agreeing to let you up when you need the bathroom later. Sleep Shoto is an entirely different breed.
The second the painkillers begin to kick in, you are drifting off to sleep again. Warmth, comfort and safety carry you into a dreamless slumber.

"I love you- NOT~!!" (PART 1)
Tumblr media
childhood bestfriend/crush katsuki bakugo x hopeless romantic reader
Tumblr media
synopsis: Love is so addictive. You know, even when you've never really felt it. The feeling of being in love is even worse when your counterpart doesn't reciprocate.
tw: female reader, cursing, angst, heartbreak, bakugo being oblivious/a little insensitive, crying, reader relying on herself
wrd count: 800+ not edited!
Katsuki Bakugo and you go way back. It all started in grade school when you first caught sight of the brooding child, Bakugo.
You were supposed to focus on learning how to add and subtract fractions, but instead, your attention drifted to the boy sitting next to you. Your desk mate was laser focused on the lesson as his garnet red eyes seemed to bore into the teacher's. It gave you the perfect opportunity to judge this potential friend. He had wild blonde hair that somehow looked neat, framing his chubby cheeks. He had a button nose, cute. You concluded that your desk buddy was adorable, and he would be an excellent first friend. Oh, if only you knew.
From an adorable childhood in the suburbs, to an awkward and moody middle school period, and then a slight reflection in high school, Katsuki Bakugo had changed alongside you. You saw Bakugo go from his messy blonde locks, to spikes. He saw you change from an awkward bangs stage to a more defined hair part. Your friendship bloomed as the two of you were able to confide in one another as the years passed. Bakugo got sassier, and you shot back the same attitude. You differed when it came to feelings. That became abundantly clear when puberty and dating became a middle school topic. Bakugo used to talk to you about how girls were annoying and unbearable. He said he never would understand the appeal of dating. You dumbly nodded along, as if your heart wasn't hammering in your chest every time Bakugo Katsuki was in the vicinity. It was like your heart was a professional Bakugo tracker. Perhaps that's when you should have realized that you were in too deep.
All the same, high school left you high and dry. U.A was a challenge in and of itself, but adding rocky childhood feelings wasn't exactly ideal. Especially when Bakugo began to realize that he was a little more interested in relationships as he got older. You remember one instance as clear as day...
"Hey, Y/n, I'm waiting for someone, don't fucking wait up," Bakugo muttered. He didn't make direct eye contact with you. You swear you could make out the faintest pink blush on his cheeks.
"Oh? You got a special someone finally?" Y/n laughed. You hoped your tone sounded teasing and not sour. You wondered if Bakugo would ever realize how your lip wobbles or how you fidgets anxiously with your shirt whenever he talked about relationships. He was so observant unless it came to feelings.
"You could say that. I'm going out with Mina, one on one." Bakugo always did this when he was nervous. His answers became more brief and he seemed more guarded.
"Listen, big guy, you got this. I'm sure Mina and you will have a blast. I don't know, give her some Katsuki charm~!" You winked while pointing finger guns at him.
"Piss off!" Bakugo rolled his eyes, but you know you saw a slight smile right before. Your silliness worked as his hands relaxed from balled fists. Suddenly, his eyes seemed to dart to the approaching pink figure. Katsuki exhaled loudly, as if trying to ground himself.
You turn around and watch Mina with him. You understand why Bakugo was interested in her; she was fierce, outgoing, bubbly, easy on the eyes, and you assumed her curves helped. Whatever the reason, when you looked at Bakugo again, his eyes seemed to shine in a way he never could with you. His perfect pink lips parted slightly like he was in a trance by her.
"I wonder if I'll ever have that effect on a guy," you mumbled quietly. You didn't mean to let it slip out, but judging by Bakugo's zombie state, you doubt he's even listening to you.
"What did you say?" Bakugo asked, still not looking back at you.
"Nothing, have a good date." With that, you left Bakugo to head back to your dorm, by yourself, for the first time in a year. As you walked, you wondered if he ever knew you like you patiently grew to know him. You knew he had a mole on the left side of his growing adam's apple; you knew his top twenty hero list by heart; and most importantly, you knew exactly when Bakugo first fell in love with a real girl. At the very moment and forever more, Ashido Mina was the first girl Bakugo truly had a crush on.
You're not sure when your cheeks got damp, but you noticed you were crying when your nose was runny. Unlike the past, Bakugo would always be there to call you 'stupid' and wipe away your tears with his callous hands. Now, you sat alone in your dorm room, sobbing in one of his old t-shirts. You had this since you were in grade seven. Bakugo grown quickly, but his All-Might t-shirt was one of the first ever gifts he gave you himself.
Even thinking about him now hurts your head. To think someone who caused you so much grief, could still be the one you cherished most.

The moment Denki mentioned it Bakugo was already sneering in disgust. The intentions of such a game when in such a mixed crowd of pronouns was obvious, the electric boy expected himself to get lucky enough to get some action with a “goddess” this way. Bakugo himself was never one for drinking, the only reason he had even been roped into this party at all was Kirishima had brought YOU. The knowledge of you going without him? To a drinking party hosted by a couple of pervs? Like hell he was going to let that happen, which is how he was now sitting on the couch scowling at the brightness of the multicolored flashing lights that still didnt seem to light up this dim room. Things however could have been worse, at least this time the extras were for the most part people who he could tolerate, and he had one arm over the couch back behind you. Although as Grape bastard asked if you would participate in the game, Bakugo had to restrain a snarl from escaping his chest. Faster than he could implode you spoke up agreeing to play if…and only if Bakugo would play as your partner. Staring at you dumbfounded the blonde missed the waitresses arriving in the karaoke room with the first round of alcohol. The expectancy in your eyes and the nervous way you chewed on your lip, or maybe seductive way had him subconsciously nodding his consent before he realized. “How the hell this thing work?” Denki had short circuited nearly at him agreeing, so it was Kirishima who pipped up in answer, smiling from ear to ear. “So one of you takes a drink, usually the person who everyone thinks would be the top. Then you kiss and feed the drink to your partner!” Had it not been for him knowing no alcohol had touched anyones lips Bakugo would have refused. Consent couldn’t be given by someone who was inebriated in his hero book, but you both were completely sober. Still he almost backed out yelling at them all for their assumed of who was top and who was bottom, when he suddenly felt your warm-soft, sweet lips seal over his. Eyes wide in surprise Bakugo nearly choked before the fruity alcohol swirled through his mouth burning its way into his senses. The room was soon filled with elated screams and cheers, and a grumble from Grape boy, as growling Bakugo used his height to dwarf you. Roughly cupping your cheek and deepening the kiss, laying his claim as he swiped every drop of alcohol and air from your mouth and lungs.
“Stupid…see only losers need alcohol to get an excuse to kiss someone.” He scoffed tugging you closer and letting you catch your breath a smirk covering his flushed face. Leaning in to nip and bite at your throat for once not caring who saw. “Before you get drunk now, I want your permission to keep kissing you like that all night long bottom~” Your shuddery nod was all he needed before diving back in for another rougher kiss, needing to assert to the others your lips would be only for him to taste tonight.

Your vision clears and you see that you’re right outside an old building in what seems to be the middle of the forest. You cough out the rest of the black sludge on your hands and knees when you hear footsteps. Looking up, your blood runs cold looking at the two men in front of you. You have seen Shigaraki before during the battle at Jaku and it still sent shivers down your spine but looking at the Symbol of Evil, the most dangerous villain out there, All For One. His presence is menacing as he gazes down at you, as you are frozen in fear.
“Nemesis, you have been quite the talk amongst us.” Though he lacks eyes, the upper half of his face all scarred over only showing his mouth he is still able to look exactly where you are. He steps forward, his hand reaching out towards you, “I’m sure you’ll comply but a lack of a quirk will make things easier.” You swing holding your staff, the blade releasing cutting clean through the fingers on his hand before he could touch you. You flip back, not wasting any time running off.
“You bitch!” You hear Dabi yell out and you could hear him release a wave of flames you roll out of the way and sprint off into the woods. Shigaraki feels the itch to kill after seeing the girl attack his Master, he moves to step forward when a hand comes out in front of him.
“No Shigaraki, let her run.” Shigaraki looks back at All For One confused as you attacked him and he was just supposed to let you go. His damaged hand heals the cut-off fingers leaving no trace of damage. “You are still too weak with All For One… Others will get her.” And once he said that a Nomu ran off into the forest after you.
Dabi feels anger course through him as he watches you run, you were supposed to be weak, and easy to break, but here you were getting a hit on the greatest villain out there. A grin grows on his face. He hopes that Nomu kills you because if he gets you, you’re going to wish you died.
Your heartbeat pounds through your ears as you run, nothing seems familiar as you just sprint, were you even in Japan anymore, whoever had that warping quirk easily could bring the villains from here to Japan or whatever. Scratches appear on your face as you push your way past low-hanging branches, you could just run in one direction it would lead you somewhere. You hear a roar that seems to shake the trees around you and you halt to a stop, a Nomu.
You release both blades from your staff as you look at your surroundings. There is some sunlight from some openings in the trees lighting your area but everything is blurred together with the same trees and brush. You hear some crackling coming from your left and you turn to face it trying to hear anything else. You hear a loud rush of wind come past you before you feel the pain against your face. The claws of the Nomu slice across your face three large gashes along your left cheek almost touching your eye. You let out a cry swinging around your staff, feeling it dig along the side of the Nomu as it rushes towards you again. It is the Nomu that shares characteristics of a dog, its sharp teeth chomping out and you flip back avoiding the bite. It growls out rushing towards you and you dodge from its charge but its arm swings out hitting you in the chest sending you flying and your back hits a tree. You let out a cough of blood feeling something crack, it’s already right in front of you and you can’t dodge.
Bringing your staff up before it could bite at your face the staff at the back of its jaw holding it back while keeping it from biting down completely. Its sharp teeth dig slightly into your left arm and the brace on your right arm protects it. You kick the Nomu in the gut sending it skidding back and you rush at it, the Nomu has a regeneration factor so the only attack that would work is destroying the head. You swing your staff out the blade digging slightly into its neck and you scream out as its claws drag along your open arm tearing it up into ribbons. You pull away the small neck wound the Nomu has healed. It lets out a roar and you feel a rush of adrenaline hit you. You rush towards it and your staff raised ready to strike. You both rush towards each other at lightning speed passing by each other, dust clouding up as you skid to a stop. You turn to see its head decapitated from above the lower jaw as its body falls to the ground, the head flies following suit. You rush to it holding your staff up letting out a cry slamming the blade through the brain pulling it out and slamming it back down, continuing until it's a bloody mess of brains. You see the body twitch before stopping the thing dead.
You feel a cooling sensation rush through you as you stumble away from the destroyed head closing your staff, you killed it, you killed a Near High-End Nomu. You feel a burning sensation at your neck as you cough out a glob of blood. Bringing your hand against your neck you just feel warm blood as your hand goes slightly into your neck, a chunk missing. You feel light-headed pressing your hand against your neck trying to slow the rapid bleeding. Your hand is slippery with blood trying to keep pressure on your wound as you try to walk away, your vision spotting black as your legs get weak feeling cold all of a sudden. Your legs buckle under you and you slam against the ground, your staff falling out of your grasp as you lay on the ground blood pooling out your neck at an alarming rate. Get up Y/n...keep moving… You feel your breathing hitch with each inhale and exhale as blackness dots your vision. You can hear your heartbeat in your ears get slower and slower and the need to close your eyes gets stronger. Your vision darkens and your eyes close for the last time the beat of your heart stops.
Dabi follows Shigaraki as they look for the Nomu and you. They heard loud roaring and now it was silent. It seems like a while of walking until the stench of death hits them. They enter a clearing first seeing the Nomu separated part of its body in one place while its head was in another place completely smashed and destroyed the organ and blood stains the dirt around it.
“That stupid brat killed it,” Shigaraki growls out his hand scratching at the scars lining his neck. Dabi looks around his eyes, catching the girl on the ground. You lie on your stomach, your arm slightly reaching out towards your staff while your other lies by your side. He steps closer seeing a pool of blood surrounding your head. He uses his foot to flip you over onto your back and he takes a step back slightly from your appearance. Your eyes are glazed over slightly open staring off into nowhere, three large gashes come from the bridge of your nose to the bottom of your left cheek some blood already drying while some still runs down your face drenching some of your hair, and your throat is completely ripped open that he can see your trachea through the ripped muscles and fat as you bleed out from it, your left arm is cut into ribbons flesh barely hanging on. Your skin is pale as he looks down at you knowing there was nothing he could do to fix you, after everything you weren’t supposed to go like this, he said he would be the one to kill you, not some monster. He doesn’t feel upset that you're dead, just frustrated you were supposed to be his trophy after all of this, his reward for ruining your life and his family’s, his songbird.
“Shame isn’t it Dabi? She would have been a good ally.” Shigaraki says, shoving his hands into his pockets before turning around and starting walking back. “Master will be mad that she killed a Nomu.” He says to his burned companion. Dabi takes one look at you, he liked your hair before and now you went and ruined it just like you ruined your future.
“Yeah...Shame.” He says before turning around to follow Shigaraki. They both go to leave when they hear a gasp of air that makes them turn back.
You feel like you're floating everything lightweight around you as you see ahead of you a door that glows a brilliant white. You go to step towards the door when you feel a burning sensation through you, you feel someone holding you back pulling you further and further away from the doorway. You feel a nauseating sensation as a ringing appears starting quietly before getting louder and louder until it is deafening and you squeeze your eyes shut to block out the noise and a bright light flashing in your vision. And then you feel a heartbeat. You let in a gasp of air, your eyes shooting open getting blinded by the light and closing them again.
You push yourself up coughing feeling as if you were drowning but no water coming out, “What the hell…” You hear someone say and you look over and your blood runs cold seeing Dabi and Shigaraki staring at you in shock. They are shocked as they watch the wounds on your face and arm slowly disappear, not leaving a trace that you were injured. Your neck wound heals reverting to how it was before only leaving blood, you look exactly as you were before only covered in blood this time. You scramble back grabbing your staff ready to run when Shigaraki lifts his hand and black tendrils shoot from his fingers hitting you in your left shoulder, the side of your stomach, and your right thigh pinning you to a tree.
You cry out in pain feeling them go straight through your body hitting the wood. Shigaraki and Dabi walk up to you as you struggle to remove the rivets from your body. You grasp one on your shoulder trying to pull it off and slice your palm open. You hiss in pain seeing the large cut across your palm but you're shocked as you watch as the cut comes together healing leaving nothing there but a bit of blood. What the hell is this? The rivets leave your body, you fall and Dabi grabs you by the throat, his hand glowing a slight blue and you can feel the heat coming off it.
“How did you do it? Huh, you’re supposed to be dead.” He says his hand slightly choking you and you bring your hands up trying to push him back. A hand lands on Dabi's shoulder pulling him back and you let in a gasp of air clutching onto your throat.
“We’ll have Master deal with whatever effect her quirk has.” He glances at you and you are still in shock by what you saw. The cut on your hand healed leaving nothing and what did Dabi say you were dead? No, you remember killing the Nomu before everything kinda blurred together, and then you couldn’t remember. Dabi sighs, stepping back before pulling his fist back slamming it against your temple and then everything goes dark.
You woke up to your body being dropped onto the floor. You groan in pain, you slowly blink your eyes as your vision clears and you see you’re now inside a building. You push yourself up but are startled by the sound of chains rattling around your wrist. Looking down, your wrist is cuffed together connecting to a chain on the wall above you. You try to pull your wrist apart using your strength to break them but you feel no give to the metal. The door to the room opens, startling you and you push yourself further against the wall. You see someone walk inside and you see it’s Spinner. You glare at him as he comes over undoing the chain from the wall. As soon as you hear the click of the lock coming free you spin around kicking his knee in and you hear the sound of his knee breaking inwards. Spinner screams in pain and you book it towards the door once you're outside that room black rivets from All For One’s hand pierce into your shoulders pinning you to the wall.
You squirm in place as he steps closer to his other reaching towards your face, “Quite a troublesome child.” His hand touches your face, red fog seeping into your skin as you feel a searing sensation through your body. Your screams pierce the room as you feel something gets removed from your soul. He releases you and you fall to the ground weak all over your body as you try to push yourself up to stand. You see behind All For One is Shigaraki and Dabi staring at you.
“You may try to leave, child.” You stand on shaky legs and you take a step forward when someone comes from behind you a blade pierces through your back the end coming through your front.
“That’s for your brother killing Twice.” You hear Toga’s voice. Looking at the blade it’s the same one from your weapon. You cough out blood falling onto your knees and Toga grabs the staff pulling the blade out from your back. Your hands press down on the wound on your chest, a sensation runs through you as you keep coughing out blood. The pain stops when you press where the wound was and feel nothing there. All For One, Shigaraki and Dabi look at you confused. You were still able to heal even after he took your quirk.
“It was never your quirk giving you this power.” All For One says a grin growing on his face already thinking of everything he could do to you. Toga cries kicking you down and you turn onto your back as she jumps onto you with a knife in her hand.
“Why won’t you die!” She stabs you multiple times in the chest, slashing your face and arms as you try to protect yourself. She gets more frantic seeing all your wounds heal in front of her eyes.
Toga gets thrown off you by All For One, “That’s enough.” He says and Toga glares at him. “You may have the time to let out your frustrations but Ms. Takami has become useful to us.” The grin that grows on his face causes a fear, unlike anything you’ve experienced before.
You were thrown back into the room you appeared in chained up against the wall. You don’t know how long you were in there. You would hear footsteps pass by the door would open and food would be thrown in rotten and old. There were times when Shigaraki would come in to test out how strong your regeneration was. Your screams rattled the room as he tested each of his quirks out of you, practically tearing you apart until you slowly put yourself together. You would never be visited by All For One which was a relief. Dabi would come by and if you weren’t weak you would scream every threat and insult at him cursing his death by your hands. He would just smirk at your comments and leave. Sleepless nights just staring at the door in case you had a late-night visitor to torment you more. Sometimes you weren’t lucky for a quiet night and your screams pierced the night.
The sound of footsteps coming closer and the door opens and in walks Dabi and Toga which was first. Toga has a grin on her face as she can’t seem to hold her excitement while Dabi stands behind her.
“How much are we gonna need?” He asks and Toga pulls out a needle from the belt around her waist.
“Mr. All For One said as much as possible it's not like she’ll die from it.” Dabi frowns looking over at you, you're silent just glaring at the two.
“Make sure she doesn’t pass out,” He gives her the green light and turns back to the door.
“When I get out of this I’ll kill you!” You hiss at him and he pauses looking back at the glare you give him and he just smirks.
“Toga…make sure it hurts.” The door slams behind him leaving you alone with a psycho.
“I’m sooo excited! We’re going to have so much fun!” She claps her hands together.
“You’re fucking crazy.” You spit and she pouts.
“That’s not very nice!” She shouts, throwing a knife at your head and you dodge it. “Why aren’t you playing fair!” She screams, throwing knife after knife and you dodge most in your chained position but many hit you. The room is filled with her screams and yours as she uses you as a personal pincushion. You’re wheezing feeling one knife embedded into your chest hitting your lung, you can feel the burning sensation as it tries to heal but the metal from each knife blocks the wound from closing causing you more pain.
She grabs one from your ribs, rips it out splattering blood on your face and hers, and replaces it with a needle and you watch as blood quickly flows out of your body into a container on Toga.
“While we wait before I get all your yummy blood Mr. All For One has a special mission for you!” She squeals.
“I’ll never follow you, villains..” You hiss feeling yourself get lightheaded.
“But you’ll like it pinky promise.” Your body feels weak and everything gets slower and louder while also faster and quieter all at the same time disorienting you. “You’re so lucky that you have such good friends like Tsuyu and Ochaco and Izuku~” She sighs dreamily saying his name.
“Keep his name out of your mouth.” You spit blood at her and she just grins grabbing your head that keeps dropping.
“Oh but Izuku is such a pretty name to say! I can’t wait to see him soon, you’ll see them all soon enough.”
“what..?” Dots begin to cloud your visions and you hear her voice say one last thing before it all goes dark.
“You’re really going to blow their minds.”
You’re back in the room, however, not chained to the ground, you stand up, walking around the water on the floor that doesn’t touch you, parting away from you with every step you take.
“You’re back.” You turn to the voice seeing the woman with white hair again staring at you.
“Who are you?” You ask and she doesn’t respond just staring at you. “Well, you’re someone important if you're in my mind. What here to tell me I failed again? I know!” You yell and she still stays silent. “Just tell me what to do! Please!” You cry falling on your knees, the water now touching you and wetting your clothes. “I just want everything to go back to normal! I want Keigo back! I wanna go back to U.A. again! I wanna see my friends again! I want Midoriya back! Please just help me!” You cry tears streaming down your face as you cry into your hands. You hear footsteps and a hand resting on your head stroking your hair.
“Don’t cry my child…your demons are a manifestation of your guilt. Slay the guilt to free yourself.” Her voice is calm and warm but what she said made no sense. My guilt? You weren’t guilty of anything, none of this was your fault. A painful sensation runs through your chest and you feel yourself start to sink into the water.
“Please give me something else! What does it mean!” Your cries are unheard as you sink into the dark abyss.
You blink your eyes open wincing when you see the sunlight. Wait…sunlight? Opening your eyes you're shocked to see you’re outside but not in the forest in the city. Pushing yourself up, you’re in the middle of a highway feeling deja vu in a sense of the location. Seeing police tape closing off this section and that’s when it hits you. You’re back at the highway where you were attacked by Nomus and Dabi.
“Takami.” A chilling voice makes you freeze and you turn to see All For One behind you. You push yourself up onto your feet stumbling from fatigue and the pain of using your legs for the first time in who knows how long.
“Warn the heroes hiding in U.A. behind their wall. I will come and take my power back from him. The end of heroes is upon us,” He pulls your staff from a portal of black ooze throwing it at you and you fumble to catch it. “And a warning for you, Touya is not pleased by your disappearance, I have not told them I have let you go. The fire that runs through him will incinerate you. Now RUN!!” You don’t have to be told twice and you book it far away from where he stands. Your weak body heaves as you run, you have to get to U.A. and warn them. He never told you when he would be arriving. It could be today or a month from now.
You don’t even realize where you’re running to at the very moment running straight into a large group of police evacuating civilians. You see someone look right at you, recognition appearing on their face before they scream out ‘Villain!’ and chaos ensues. The crowd goes wild, almost a stampede to get away from you. Some police officers see you and open fire at you causing more panic. They shoot into an open crowd, and you dart away running away from the crowd and giving the police clear shots at you. The firing of bullets ricochets off your brace, some grazing your body but you keep running. The large wide police chase follows as you run through the streets of Japan seeing familiar landmarks that tell you that U.A. is close.
“Nemesis stand down this instance!” The megaphone from the cop cars blares as you keep running. Up in the distance, you see the large wall of U.A. the entrance coming into view. An alarm pierces through the air and you see ahead the wall begin closing and you see the gateway closing. Running as fast as you can, the doors sliding down to close. You throw your staff ahead of you and you slide right under the gateway and the cop car's sirens are loud on the other side of the wall. Pushing yourself up you turn to see you are immediately surrounded by Pro Heroes behind them are students protecting civilians thinking it’s an attack.
“Don’t move Nemesis! You’re completely surrounded!” You slowly put your hands up and they get ready to attack. “I said don’t move!” They yell.
“I’m not here to hurt anyone!” You yell out and you see Pro Heroes you looked up to not believing you. “I’ve been told to give a message to all the heroes!” You yell.
“Why should we believe you, you’re nothing but a criminal!” Someone yells out.
“She could be that transforming villain!” Voices all cry out their fears.
“All For One is coming!” You cry out and silence from heroes and civilians follow, “He says to the heroes that hide behind this wall that he is coming! He is coming to take back his power and the end of heroes will come!” Your message is said and you see many heroes are on two sides, whether to believe the message you told them or think this is a trick. The wall of heroes breaks apart and someone you never thought you would see again comes forward. Keigo’s face is calm as he steps closer to you and you both just stare at each other.
“When’s my birthday?”
“December 23.”
“What’s my favorite color?”
“Red like your wings.”
“What’s my favorite food?”
“You tell the public it’s Yakitori from the place a block from the home, but it’s the pork bun you got me the first day I met you.” It’s silent between you two as he just stares at you. You both are so different having changed so much from your time in U.A. and the time you were gone.
“Why did you leave me?” He says. You are silent just looking at him, the person you saw once as a mentor now as your brother.
“I thought I could get rid of him as revenge when it was my guilt wanting to avenge those I killed.” This whole time your anger and fear weren’t because of what he did to you, that was a life you knew you were going to experience but those people, those children they didn’t deserve this life.
“You didn’t kill them.” He says and holds his hand out. “Come home…” You look at the hand that is the light in the darkness, the hand that guides you out from the nightmares back to light. Your home. You grab his hand and he instantly pulls you into a hug and squeezes the life out of you. “Never do that again.” He says his head resting on the top of yours as you clutch his coat, your face in his neck.
“I’m so sorry.” A sharp pain runs through you and you fall to your knees.
“What’s wrong Y/n talk to me!”
As if voices echo in your head “The soul is far too fickle.” “You’re really going to blow their minds.” Pushing yourself away you fall to the ground clutching your chest in pain.
“G-get away from me!” You cry out feeling a burning sensation filling you up.
“What? What’s wrong with you!” He cries out and his eyes widen seeing cracks appearing on your face.
“R-run Keigo!” You cry out and the pain inside you comes outward.  A large explosion causes panic as they see Hawks goes flying but is caught by Mirko and they go skidding on the floor. With him so close he has burns on him and he’s unconscious. Mirko looks back at the chaos, seeing part of the wall destroyed and a body on the ground. All For One planned all this letting you free to be used as a suicide bomber to destroy part of their defenses and damage a pro hero in the process.
“WE NEED A MEDIC! SOMEONE GET RECOVERY GIRL!” Endeavor calls out him and Best Jeanist by your body that is heavily damaged. Endeavor feels sick getting flashbacks to Lady Nagant, All For One was making even children into these bombs. A person darts out past the heroes before they can’t stop them.
“Please save her! She is my hero!” A little girl cries out clutching a doll in her hand. Endeavor is hit with a faint memory, you saved this child during your work-study, and even as a student you made enough of an impact on this child that even with the crimes you committed the goodness of others shines through.
The child is scooped up and she turns looking up seeing it was the hero everyone was protecting, Deku. Midoriya is silent watching the events in front of him, she’s right there. She was supposed to be safe. He turns away walking back to the crowd returning the child to her mother and joining his classmates as they all watch the event unfold around them. All For One is going to pay for this.
You sat next to Midoriya during lunch as you laughed along at the bad joke Iida tried to tell. You sigh, a light and airy feeling as you look at Midoriya who sees you looking at you and turns and gives you a big smile.
“Hey Y/n are you excited for after lunch, you’ve been talking about it all morning?”
You look over at Uraraka and tilt your head, “Sorry what are you talking about?”
The whole table laughs at your confusion, “Real funny Y/n, your visit with your parents today. You literally haven’t shut up about it.” She says and you frown.
“Uraraka that isn’t funny, you know I don’t know my parents..”
Iida laughs, “Alright Y/n you can stop joking around, your parents are right there.” He points over and you look over freezing seeing the woman with white hair and your father; wanted criminal Shinyo Takami.
“That’s not right, the commission never told me about them.” You say confused none of this made sense.
“The commission, now you’ve really gone crazy. The commission is only for the elite.” Uraraka says and everyone at the table laughs again but it seems controlled and fake.
You stand up from the table and they all look at you, “No I’m a part of the commission, Hawks trains me to become a hero. You know during work studies.”
You say and Midoriya frowns, “Y/n I know you miss him but you have to let go.”
You step away from the table looking at your friends, “Let go of what, none of you are listening to me!”
“Y/n. Hawks has been dead for a few years now; he died in the accident.” No this isn’t right none of this makes sense.
“No...no...we all go off to our work studies, then the war happens. You and I leave U.A. and I become Nemesis.” You say pointing at Midoriya. They all get quiet when you say ‘Nemesis’.
“Don’t joke around about being that vile villain.” Iida spits out, a glare on his face, and everyone nods in agreement each leaving their insults.
“No I am Nemesis, I worked with my father; The Devil’s Advocate. Then we fought and I got arrested, the League kidnapped me then…” You begin to draw a blank after that, your words feeling heavy when trying to think past that.
“Then what Y/n? I think you didn’t get a good night of sleep right guys.” Midoriya says, grabbing your hand and guiding you back down to sit next to him.
“Yeah..you’re probably right.” You sit down, the airy feeling returning.
“Just relax, you’re just tired. How about you take a nap real quick, you’ll feel much better.” Midoriya says as he guides your head to rest on his shoulder and all your friends encourage you to close your eyes.
“Just…a quick…nap” You yawn, feeling yourself slowly drift.
“Just sleep...” His voice is soothing lulling you to peace.
“YOU’RE DYING!” A voice yells and you shoot awake, seeing yourself back in Jaku, the ruins of the destroyed hospital around you, and the sound of fighting all around you.
“What?” You look down, seeing yourself back in your old hero costume and your quirk with you. It is a bit weird feeling the weight on your back and seeing them. An arm grabs you, pulling your attention away.
“You're finally listening Dumbass!” Bakugo yells in your face. “You’re an idiot, that nutsack villain made you into a bomb and you’re dying, got it!” He says before sending an explosion at a villain trying to attack the two of you.
“But I was just with Midoriya and everything was okay.” You point to seeing that he’s gone.
“Yeah well, that’s a fucking lie. So you need to wake the fuck up so you can help us!” He growls annoyed even as you’re dying he still is an asshole.
“How do I do that?”
“You think I know I’m part of your fucking mind, so figure it out yourself!” He says before running off the fight against more villains. You follow after him as if that was what you need to do. After running you find yourself in the fight club.
“It would be quite pathetic if you die.” You turn seeing your father in front of you, you're still in your Hero costume.
“Well wanna lead me in the direction of living.” You spat and he smirks.
“What a spitfire child I have.” He snaps his fingers and the floor underneath you disappears and you land on the balcony at Gung Villa.
“Songbird~” You whip around to see Dabi. The insane grin on his face as his white hair blows in the breeze. “So how are you going to fight me, as a hero or a villain?” In front of you is your staff as Halo and also your staff as Nemesis.
Halo was too gentle and cost her quirk and heart. Nemesis was violent and cost her friendships and her dreams. But as Nemesis you could kill him, you can end all your trauma and nightmares here and now. You reach from Nemesis but pause, Dabi while he is real isn’t the source of all this. Your guilt is the cause. Your hand falls away from both stepping back.
“I don’t need to be a hero or villain to stop myself,” Dabi smirks before melting away, and there’s a copy of you standing but it’s you as a child. You clutch the Hawks doll between your hands, your wings encircle your body to shield you from the world. You slowly crouch down stretching out your hand, and you see your younger self’s wings pull back slightly so you can see.
“I’m sorry, I never wanted you to deal with this.” Younger you’s eyes peers up at you seeing you back to what you look like your ruined burnt clothing, messy hair that hasn’t been washed in forever, scars lining your face, and body, and no wings. You two are completely different people but still hold the same heart. Slowly she reaches her hand out and grabs yours, a small smile on your face.
“It’s okay.” The world around you falls away leaving you and your younger self together.
“I’ll fix this.” You promise yourself and she nods, squeezing your hand.
“You’re a hero…of course, you can.” The urge to open your eyes takes over and you slowly blink your eyes open.

Tumblr media
Katsuki feels that he’s fallen fast—too fast—and he has.
It’s 4:30 in the late afternoon. The spring sun is just starting to set for the day in a glory of bright rays and cotton candy skies, and Katsuki thinks it can’t go any slower than it has been the whole day.
It’s not hard to remember the last time he felt this exhausted. He knows the feeling all too well: the yearn for the sigh of relief to a done day, the click of the lock to his shop, and the climb of the stairs at the back of the shop so he could find solace in the chair set by the bay window of his home.
His home is right above his shop. There was absolutely no need for him to venture outside. Yesterday was Sunday, and Sunday was his Everything Day.
Clean his home, check everything off of his grocery list for the week, wash and fold the laundry, and occasionally deep clean his kitchen and bathroom.
There is nothing that needs to be done outside, is what he tells himself as he locks up his shop for the day—from the outside. Go home and rest, is what he tells himself to do as he pockets his keys in his coat and pivots on his heels. Have a nice, quiet evening, is what he tells himself as his feet find a familiar path to a place he has no business being unless he wanted to spend another hefty six dollars on coffee he doesn’t even drink that often.
I want a sweet drink. Katsuki really wishes he had ordered a sweeter drink the first time around as he looks at you and nods when you smile and ask, “The usual?” But he finds that he genuinely can’t say no, especially to a smile like that.
He doesn’t miss the way you linger when you hand him his dark, batman brooding coffee, hand warm on the nearly scalding beverage. And that smile again. He’s lucky to have turned away in time as his own smile pushes through, breaking the barrier before he reseals the cracks, already going through the subconscious motions of tearing through at least three sugar packets.
And like last week (and the week before that, and before that, and before that…), he’ll take a seat in his usual spot, sipping his still-too-bitter coffee as he waits for 6:30 to roll around. He pulls out more work in the meantime, sifting through the countless invoices and bills that keeps his business afloat, all while you finish your shift.
He knows it’s time to leave when you comedically waft a crisp chocolate croissant under his nose, bringing his eyes to you and your other hand where you hold a matching pastry. The added sweetness is not minded alongside the reward of your presence.
The two of you don’t stay long, only until you’ve both finished your pastries before he walks you to your apartment, ears tinged red which he’ll blame on the cold that does the same to his nose. He looks forward to the walk back to your apartment as much as he loathes it. He doesn’t like having to say goodbye to you.
Though despite his distaste for farewells, he uniformly turns to you once outside the lobby doors of your apartment building, waving off the fact that he waits an hour for you to get off work and walk you home as a safety concern. But it really does feel worth it when he watches your eyes crinkle cutely at the corners with happiness, voice warm and inviting as you thank him.
He nods, lets out a hum of acknowledgement, and waits to watch you walk through your lobby safely before turning to make his own way home. Except you don’t walk away, not for another minute.
Katsuki always has his eyes on you, whether he’s aware of it himself or not, but he can tell there’s disturbance in yours, as if you were contemplating something. And oh, is he in for a surprise.
“Would you like to come up for a bit? Maybe for a drink.. or… dinner?”
Ho-ly. Shit. is what Katsuki tells himself as he turns to follow you inside.

Not Today Mister - Chapter 20
Tumblr media
hi hope you enjoy this chapter!
Aizawa x Reader Warnings: Fainting
-
You were shocked to say the least. You talked to him and didn’t freak out. That was a big plus in the books for you. Then it all came back at you, and you heaved out, “Oh my goodness…” as you blinked a few times as the breath left your body. It took a moment before you took a step to the side, then it all fell down as you fainted.
When you came to, someone was standing over you with a concerned gaze. You recognized it was Nemuri, one of the pro heroes that worked here. You stared back at her confused, “Uh, hi?” You let out, glancing around you, and realizing you were on the floor.
“Oh.” You said, a small sputtering laugh coming out as you realized you fainted in the hallway. And here you thought you were doing decent! You just had to go and faint after talking to the hottie.
Nemuri stared back at you with a kind smile, “Are you okay, sweet pea?” She asked you softly.
You pouted back at her, “I’m okay, I kinda fainted, I think. Did you see that?” You asked back, raising your eyebrows and continuing to laugh at yourself.
“I did! Are you sure you’re, okay?” She asked gently, making you smile back at her.
“Damn, you’re really kind, you know that?” You couldn’t help but comment.
She raised her eyebrows in surprise, “Now, that’s a new one, babe. I’m usually called flirty.”
“Ha! Okay, that too, I suppose. I promise I’m okay, too.” You laughed. You groaned as you felt a pain in your head and you sat up after a moment, with the help of Nemuri. She patted your back as you stood up and you two laughed together.
“So, is your head, okay? We can take you to Recovery girl!” She checked, pressing her hands up to your head, causing you to flinch.
You squeaked out in pain, “I uh, that really hurt.”
“Oh dear, okay, let’s get you to Recovery girl.” She laughed and pointed in the direction of the infirmary.
You shrugged, “Mm, I think I should be okay on my own…” You trailed off and then winced again when she clapped her hands in front of your face.
She raised her eyebrows, “Yeah sure? You’re totally fine!” She said sarcastically, shaking her head. “You’re just like Aizawa, wanting to avoid getting help.” You felt flustered at the mention of him, and you laughed quietly.
“C’mon you don’t have to tease me like that, we barely know each other.” You responded, a small pout on your face.
Nemuri looked confused as she stared at you, “Huh?” She let out for a moment before you rolled your eyes.
“Everyone knows now, right? That I like Aizawa. Ugh, this school…” You sighed, not realizing that this was news to her. She gasped happily and excitedly back to you.
“Aw, what?! You like our residential grumpy loser?!”
“What! Don’t call him a loser, I mean, I get how grumpy he can be, but loser isn’t very nice. And yes, I do like him, can we stop talking about it now? It’s making my head hurt even more.” You replied, shaking your head.
“Aw poor baby, let’s get you to Recovery girl, and I’m not taking no for an answer.” Nemuri said, shrugging as you attempted to say no. You rolled your eyes as she snickered at you.
By the time you two got to Recovery girl, you became friends. You two chatted the entire time and Nemuri even told you a few tips on how to deal with Aizawa when he’s a bit too grumpy. You two even laughed about some stories Nemuri had about him from when they were younger.
“Here we go, go in.” Nemuri guided you, and you smiled back at her. You went inside and sat down on the bed, seeing that no one was inside the room. Nemuri walked in and sighed when she realized this and sat down on the chair across from you.
It was silent for a few moments before Nemuri spoke up again. “I should text her, let her know you’re here. She’s probably in one of the gyms helping someone out.” You shrugged and nodded back silently, feeling your head start to hurt even more.
Unbeknown to you, Nemuri also sent a text to Aizawa, sending a picture of you laying down with your hands on your head.
She giggled silently to herself, typing, “I heard this babe has a crush on youuuu” and pressed send.
Almost immediately, Aizawa texted back, “what happened. did you hurt her?”
Rolling her eyes, she texted back, “She fainted and she’s okay, just going to check for head injuries. She has pain in her head right now.”
“wait there.” He responded.
Nemuri raised her eyebrows at his message and glanced over to you, noticing you were getting sleepy from the way you were blinking your eyes.
“Baby, please don’t go to sleep, you might have a concussion.” Nemuri spoke up and you yawned, gazing at her.
“Huh? I’m not gon’ sleep.” You replied hazily, making her crack a smile.
“If you do, you’ll get in trouble.” Nemuri warned you and you snickered, “You’re funny.” You yawned again and rolled over, facing her completely. Nemuri frowned at you, feeling a bit worried because of how you sounded.
“Stop it, don’t close your eyes.” She warned again as you started to slowly blink.
“But I wanna…”
“But no…”
“Pretty please?” You pouted at her just as Aizawa stalked into the room, gazing directly at you. You became flustered at the sight of him. You covered your face with your hands and groaned, “This is embarrassing.”
Nemuri and Aizawa glanced at each other before looking at you. Aizawa felt himself smirk slightly, liking the effect he had on you. Nemuri caught it and smiled slightly to herself, finding the dynamic between the two of you cute.
“Convince her to not sleep please.” Nemuri spoke up, and Aizawa sighed.
“Well, why did you faint first of all?” He asked you, walking closer to your bed. You gulped slightly, feeling even more embarrassed that you had to explain it to him.
“Uh… well the thing is… I fainted because we spoke, and I was freaking out about not freaking out.” You explained, shrugging slightly as you took your hands off your face. Aizawa blinked back at you, finding it completely amusing but worrying as well.
“You fainted because we spoke?” He questioned, raising an eyebrow at you.
You had to look away from him because that was way too attractive.
“…Yes.” You let out.
Nemuri started to giggle like there was no tomorrow and Aizawa couldn’t stop the little smile from forming on his face, admitting to himself that was cute but at the same time worrying.
“What am I going to do with you?” He groaned, shaking his head. You let your eyes wander up and down his body while he looked away, and Nemuri saw you checking him out, causing her to laugh even more.
“You two obviously need to hang out more together so you can get used to him, and not faint again. And I think it’s also a bit obvious that Aizawa here needs to used to you too. I think you can be friends if this thing doesn’t work out.” Nemuri explained.
“I think I can handle that.” You spoke up slightly before yawning again, “Can I go to sleep now?”
“No!” Both of them yelped at you, and you sighed, grasping your head. “Fine…” You groaned.
Recovery girl walked into the room with a student following behind her. “Oh dear, what’s going on?” She asked, gazing around at the three of you.
Aizawa was the one to answer first, “Stupidity.” You nodded your head sleepily and Nemuri laughed again at the two of you.

Reform P2
part one
“Come on, Nezu, she’s the perfect conduit.” Aizawa spoke.
“This program you suggested is still in its infancy... the dorms aren’t even built yet.” Nezu said on the phone.
“I faxed over her file. Look at it, she’s literally perfect.”
“She’s only 15?”
“Yeah, I know.”
“The police have been trying to catch a child for 5 years. Are you kidding me?” Nezu asked.
“Nezu be reasonable.”
“I am being reasonable. The dorms aern’t even built yet, where would she stay?”
“She could stay with me.”
“That’s not a good idea. What if she comes after you?”
“I can handle myself, Nezu, and it’s probably better if she stays with me, in case the cuffs stop working. I mean, there probably just prototypes anyway.”
“ Eraser-”
“I’ll take full responsibility for her. Come on. We have to try to save just one.” he pleaded. He had to try to save her. If he could save just one kid, then maybe he could call himself a hero.
“Let me see what I can do.” Nezu spoke. “What am I going to do with him?” he added, hanging up the phone.
“You okay kid?” Aizawa asked Y/N. She finally managed to stand and make her way back to the table before collapsing in her chair. She didn’t respond. Her eyes were stuck to the table. “Do you want some water?” he asked.
“I’m not gonna tell you so you can stop trying.” She whispered.
“I think you misheard me... I asked if you wanted water? Ice? Maybe a snack?” he tried again.
“No.” she retorted.
“Okay... well then I have some questions for you.” he said, then he pulled out a legal pad from his backpack.
“I ain’t gonna to tell you who I’m working for.” she snapped.
When he searched for a pen in his pocket, he found one. He threw it on the table, causing Y/N to flinch. He pretended not to see it.
“Do you have any family members who can verify who you are, or some sort of photo ID?”
“My older sister... she’s in prison.” She muttered. “I wanna go wherever she is.”
“You’re not going to prison.” he stated... not looking up.
“What?”
“What about a form of ID? A school badge would work too?” he offered.
“I lost all of my stuff when my house caught on fire.” she responded. “What do you mean, I’m not going to prison? I almost committed a federal crime, I’m in police custody... I’m going to prison-”
“Is your sister your only immediate family member?”
“Yeah! Can you-”
“Okay... Once you get squared away-”
“WHERE AM I GOING?” She snapped and yelled. She tried to stand up, but doubled over in pain, and winced. “I think I broke a rib.” she muttered.
“I’m going to take you to a doctor, as soon as I get you out of here.” he said, reaching for her hand that was gripping the side of the table to attempt to numb the pain.
“I’m not going anywhere with you.” she snapped. “Not until you tell me what the hell is happening right now.”
“You’re going to be a student at UA.” he stated.
“The hero academy.... fat chance.” she meekly laughed. “Do you think you’re funny?”
“Extremely... but I’m not joking with you. I’m serious. You’re going to be a student in the UA.”
“Maybe it’s the possible concussion, but I’m failing to understand how that’s going to work. A bad guy is me. I’m the guy that you lock in prison and throw away the key. I’m the person who-” she clutched her stomach and covered her mouth before gagging. Then she threw up all over the floor next to her. “I’m sorry.. I didn’t mean to.” She whispered.
“It’s okay, It’s okay... I know and it’s okay. I really need to get you to a doctor, can you stand?” he asked.\
“Yeah, I think so, but I’m still not going anywhere until you understand-”
“There is a pilot program for young villains/vigilantes. It's called the Reform Corse. It’s where we take low-level villains that have committed non-violent crimes and offer them a spot at UA, in hopes that they can change and be in the new level heroes.”
“Pilot program, does that mean I’m the first?”
“Yes, it does.”
“So I’m a good pig?” Aizawa nodded. “I’m no hero.” she whispered.
“But you can be.” he retired.
“And if I say no?” she asked. If she said no, then she would get to see her sister again. Would she die in prison? Probably, but at least she would die with family. She tried her best, she gave life to her all, so if she dies right now then maybe it wouldn’t be so bad.
“If you say no, I can no longer help you, and you will go to prison, where the League will probably have you killed because you know too much-”
“I’m not working with the League.” she scoffed. He studied her face. She was a good liar. He could give her that.
“You’re a good lair, I’ll give you that... but it’s hard to believe you when you have a nosebleed and are spitting out blood.” he said. She tried to snap back, but he cut her off. “I am here to help you. Let me.”
“And if I say yes?”
“Then I sign you over to my custody and you come with me to get some paperwork filled out and get some stuff squared away.”
“Okay.” she muttered as she tried to stand.
“That really should be no problem, unless your parents-”
“My parents shouldn’t be concerned with this matter.”
“By concerned, do you mean dead?” he asked.
“Done and burred.” she finished.
“Both of them.”
“Yes sir.” he nodded... she was a good liar, but not that good.

『midnight, midsummer』 — four
Tumblr media
— pairing: shoto x reader — tags: university au, urban fantasy au, selkie shoto, accidental marriage (lmfao), faerie antics, 18+ — wc: 4.6k — notes: it Begins
“I have no intention of forcing you into anything,” Shoto says evenly, expression neutral despite the roiling depths of his mismatched eyes. He seems to hesitate slightly before he continues. “Let me propose something, then. A bargain.” Your eyebrows shoot up before you’re able to stop them. Shoto is offering to enter a faerie bargain with you? As though he can see the cogs turning in your head, the corner of his lips lifts in a half smile. He breathes in deeply, closing his eyes a moment before he lets the air go and meets your gaze once more. “If you find that you do not have any feelings for me at all, come Midsummer’s Eve, then I will dissolve this marriage and leave you be.” ---- You get a little more than you bargained for when you knock some poor guys coat off his chair in the library. You pick it up and give it back to him, of course, because that's what anyone would do, right? Well, apparently not when it comes to selkies.

Tumblr media
It’s at dusk the next day that you find yourself at a familiar stretch of sand and rocks.
You’re all dressed and ready to go to the celebration; you were actually on your way there, barely ten minutes away, but decided to stop for a few minutes. This is a beach you’ve been frequenting since you first came here. It’s where you go to sit with your thoughts and unwind. The ocean has always been a secret love of yours, and this beach is sequestered off and separated enough that more often than not you’re able to be in complete solitude while you bask in the sun and sea breeze.
You’re sure that amongst the dolphins and seals there is a bunch of sea-dwellers that can catch sight of you from the water, but you don’t have to deal with them in your everyday life so you’re relatively unbothered by it.
A particularly brisk breeze cuts against your skin, and with a shiver you shove your hands into the pockets of your jacket, nestling further into the fabric. However warm it may get during the day, the wind at night is another matter entirely.
You pause when, in the midst of your shivering, your fingers brush against something at the bottom of your pocket. Confused, you draw the item out and attempt to discern what it is in the moonlight.
Recognition lights in you not long after you set your eyes on it. Right, this is the jacket you were wearing when you arrived home to the ring and orchid on your front porch. Normally you’d be inclined to shove it back into your pocket in an effort to forget about it, but for some reason you feel like you can look at it without having a lowkey panic attack today.
Drawing your other hand from your jacket, you crack open the box and retrieve the ring from inside. It’s a beautiful piece, you have to admit. The style is something you probably would have chosen yourself, too. You’ve never seen a pearl with this colouring before… it’s quite mesmerising to the eye. Against the backdrop of the night sky, it’s like your very own drop of the moon.
Your fingers fiddle with the band, fingertips dipping into the ring as though to put it on before shying away. A part of you kind of wants to see what it looks like on… but you’re paranoid that once it’s on it won’t come off.
It’s a little bit silly of you, really. You decide that fear is a little irrational and proceed to slip the band onto your ring finger.
… It looks good.
Immediately after that thought you rip the ring off your finger and cram it back into the box. Said box is then banished back to the depths of your jacket pocket, and you return to your original journey towards the docks in the distance. Stubbornly, you force yourself to think of something else, and decide to focus on your destination.
The location of the party is a place called Tinsel Cove – contrary to the name it isn’t a natural formation, but rather an abandoned warehouse that has since been repurposed into party central for the sea-dwellers. Hence, the tinsel. Between the ocean folk and the land fae, there is no shortage of celebrations year-round. This is only one of many regular haunts that host these parties, but it’s probably one of your favourites if only because of it’s proximity to the ocean.
True to what they had texted you earlier, Toru and Himiko are waiting for you at the entrance to the building. You actually hadn’t seen the former until you caught sight of Himiko next to her. Toru really blends in come nightfall. As you approach, she pulls something out from behind her and cracks it with both hands. Glow sticks. You try not to snort as she fashions them into jewellery.
“Looking good,” Himiko croons with lidded, appraising eyes, licking her lips. “Offer still stands if you’re up for some rapid weight loss.”
You laugh. You don’t think she would know what to do with herself if you ever said yes to one of her frequent, half-hearted requests for a drink of your blood. “I’ll have to decline – I’m quite happy with how I am currently. Plus, I don’t think your method is very recommended by health professionals.”
You’d heard bits and pieces of the music from half a mile away, but now that you’re approaching it’s quite booming. It would be just shy of deafening for those with more sensitive hearing. Your friends seem to hear you okay all the same, though, because they both snort.
“Right, well, enough standing out here-- there are drinks inside with our names on them. Everything but the green ones should be human friendly.”
“Noted,” you nod, following them both as they enter the building.
The insides are interesting, a peculiar combination of open and staggered design. There are portions of the warehouse that are completely unrestricted, nothing separating the floor and the sky-high ceilings. Other parts are sectioned off, with several levels to the structure. Each room seems to have its own little party happening, but in the open-plan area there are a bunch of different games occurring at once.
People all throughout the building are dancing, some more wholeheartedly than others, but there seems to be a section by the far corner where everyone who wishes to do so have gathered together. You make a note to avoid that corner like the plague, because if some drunk pixie grabs you and pulls you in like they did last time you’re not going to be able to move your legs for three days.
A mesmerising mixture of twinkling fairy lights and gradient LEDs (likely mixed with a few real faery lights) illuminate the room in ever-shifting hues, but shadows truly dominate the space. You didn’t realise how important the glow sticks were until you attempted to find your friend and only managed to locate her by the pink one she had fashioned into a choker around her neck.
“Don’t go wandering or I won’t catch sight of you ever again,” you joke, leaning down so Toru can actually hear you. She lets out a loud laugh that oddly reminds you of a tinkling bell. A lot of things about Toru are evidently hard for your human senses to perceive. They seem to be doing their best, though.
Himiko slips her arm around your waist, pulling you close. “First, let’s go check out the chaos over there – I think they’re playing potion pong and I saw that harpy pour something funky looking in some of the cups. It’s gonna be fun to watch.”
Toru is in immediate agreement, and loops her liquid-cool arm through your own. “That’s Tokoyami! He’s known for his odd creations in Concoctions class, so whoever has to drink his cup is going to have an interesting time.”
You are then unceremoniously dragged over, neither of them bothering to ask if you want to watch (probably because they already know the answer, but still). The three of you pick up drinks along the way, and your night officially begins.
True to Himiko and Toru’s words, the potion pong match does end up being really fun to watch. A majority of the drinks were safe, but a good number of them were rigged with potions that had weird effects once consumed. You watched someone’s hair turn red and mould into feathers at some point, and the most recent penalty you observed was a poor shifter who shrank about two feet and had to suffer a high-pitched voice every time they spoke. The potions wouldn’t last very long, the ones with outlandish effects never tend to, but you still felt a bit bad despite your laughter every time some poor sap got hit with another one.
You wouldn’t want it to be you, let’s put it that way.
While your friends had promised they would stick with you the whole night, and to their credit really attempted to keep you company for most of the time, you’re not really surprised when you slip away to get a drink and return to find they’ve wandered off somewhere.
Honestly, with the way Himiko was eyeing off someone in the corner who looked eerily like Izuku, you’re actually kind of relieved. You’ll find them again later anyway.
You walk around aimlessly for a bit, a few drinks down and feeling nicely buzzed. When you pause in front of a bunch of boys playing King’s Cup (or at least, some abridged version of it from the look of the rules and the weird mixture in the cup), you could swear that you feel someone’s eyes on you.
Turning to your left reveals a very familiar silhouette, violet hair as wild as ever and heavy-lidded eyes sporting a lazy, amused curve.
“Fancy seeing you here,” Hitoshi says, turning his gaze to the game beside him for a moment. “Have I missed the fun?”
You laugh, taking a generous sip of your drink. It’s purple-pink, and tastes like pomegranate and roses. You can identify the alcohol in it by the remnant heat as it slides down your throat, though.
“I only just started watching this one, so I’m not sure.” You peer over, wrinkling your nose. “Whatever is in the King’s cup looks nasty, though.”
“Oh, ew.” Hitoshi immediately agrees, eliciting another laugh from you. “Almost makes me miss the banquets and carnivals of the Night Quarter.”
This festivity is actually one of the more PG ones. You’ve been to a few that are a hell of a lot raunchier, muchmore R-19, and more often than not they’re hosted in that part of Moonhollow. The Night Quarter is home predominantly to those of demonic descent, incubi and succubi included along with the occasional yokai. While there is no true segregation in this city, historically those of similar ilk tend to naturally gravitate towards each other.
“Not enough orgies for you?” you ask, and Hitoshi bursts into laughter. He takes a sip of his own glowing drink before giving you an answer.
“Definitely not,” he snorts. “Or at least, not for Izuku. I’m not even kidding, you should see him in his element. Get him in the Night Quarter and he’s like a completely different person.”
Hitoshi is always telling you this. “I’ll believe it when I see it, dude.”
“You won’t believe it when you see it,” he insists, laughing. “I’m telling you, he only looks cute and innocent.”
Quite frankly, you refuse to believe anything that comes out of his mouth right now until you see proof for yourself. Hitoshi has bamboozled you before, and you won’t let it happen again.
“Yeah, yeah,” you say, waving your hand. “Where is he, by the way? Don’t tell me you came here alone? All by your widdle sewlf?
The lavender-maned incubus rolls his eyes, but you catch the smile that tugs his lips. He tilts his head beyond you. “The stallion is over there.”
You turn, eyes seeking, and freeze. Izuku is over by one of the many drink stations, chatting to a small, familiar-looking group. That’s not what made your heart skip a beat, though. No, it was the glimpse of pearly-white hair you got when you first looked over. You don’t see it again in the moments following, though, and can only guess the owner had wandered off.
“Who was that talking to Izuku?”
You ask before you can stop yourself, and Hitoshi hums. “Ah, that’s Natsuo, one of the Todoroki kids. He only ever comes to gatherings held in the Marine Quarter, so Izuku tries to catch him when he can.”
You release a breath you didn’t even realise that you were holding, and you feel the reverberation of the music go straight through your chest. Ah, right. You’re spending tonight taking your mind off of everything that has been stressing you out – surely the universe wouldn’t be so quick to pull you up on your hubris? You need to chill out.
“Oh, I see,” you turn back to Hitoshi, downing the rest of your drink before shaking your cup. “Wanna come top-up with me and then hit-up giant jenga? I figure it’s probably one of the most human-friendly.”
The tall man agrees, downing the rest of his own drink and following your lead.
A long while later finds you leaning against the wall in a small little alcove, Hitoshi leaning back against the one opposite you with his feet between your own. You didn’t win jenga, but you also didn’t lose it either, so there’s that. The two of you ended up making the rounds through most of the weird shit happening in amongst the chaos of festivities, and he even managed to pull you into a brief dance that left you in a fit of laughter. You’ve lost count of how much alcohol you’ve consumed, and if you couldn’t hold your liquor so well, you’d most definitely be drunk by now.
“This is a good place to be in, drink wise,” you say aloud, mostly to yourself. You turn to Hitoshi. “Can you even get drunk?”
The incubus looks borderline offended. “Why would I even drink if I couldn’t get drunk? Stupid.”
You smack him lightly on the arm for that, and he laughs. You haven’t managed to find the two friends you initially came in with, but Hitoshi has done a good enough job of distracting you that your problems are the furthest thing from your mind right now.
The only thing you can’t seem to shake, is the thought of how nice he smells. It’s a characteristic of his genes, you know— the sweet honeysuckle scent that caresses your nose in the most unsuspecting moments. Your inhibitions are sufficiently lowered right now though, and you can’t help allowing yourself to acknowledge the thought.
“Did you forget whatever it was you were trying to forget?”
Considering you’d been completely lost in thought and staring off into the distant crowd of dancing bodies, the question takes you by surprise. You pin the incubus with a suspicious look. Since when was he in your head?
Hitoshi snorts. “I didn’t read your mind. You were just downing drinks like they were water, it wasn’t too hard to guess.”
You frown. You’re not sure you believe him, but it’s a lot of effort to be suspicious right now so you decide to let it go. You chew on your answer for a moment before releasing it into the air.
“Mostly.”
Hitoshi hums, leaning forward and craning his neck down slightly. His half-lidded eyes meet yours, still with that sense of playfulness that always seems to be present, but also something… different. Honeysuckle and traces of lavender swirl together, overwhelming your senses for a moment.
“Well, just how big of a distraction do you need?”
Your breath hitches ever so slightly in your throat, tummy doing a tiny little flip in something akin to excitement. You survey his features, scanning the open expression splayed upon them. Alright, you’re not opposed to this. You lean forward yourself with your eyes flicking to his lips, mouth opening to answer.
“I—”
“SHINSO!”
You jump in place, flinching back in bewilderment as familiar forest-hued hair blurs before your face. Hitoshi also flings back, eyes wide as they fall upon his friend.
“I’ve been looking everywhere for you, I need your help with something.” Izuku’s voice is bright as ever, but as he turns his gaze to you over his shoulder, you feel something is different. “Oh hey, y/n. Sorry, I gotta steal Hitoshi for a sec.”
You shrug, bringing your drink to your mouth and hoping the action hides the warmth swarming to your cheeks. “Yeah, do whatever you gotta do.”
“Thanks, sorry again! See you later y/n!”
You refuse to believe this boy has a hidden side to him.
Hitoshi is then whisked away before he can even give you the apologetic look beginning to form on his features. With his departure, the haze in your head brought about by the alluring aroma of honeysuckle and lavender seems to clear. If that had continued, you might have jumped him. You really need to get laid if you’re going for one of your friends.
You’re kind of at a loss for what to do now, but to be fair you probably need a moment to pull yourself together. Hitoshi wouldn’t have let his pheromones out on purpose, since it’s normal to lose control when inebriated, but it doesn’t change the fact that shit is strong. That wasn’t even a quarter of the full potential. You’d have been in trouble if they were any stronger tonight.
You draw a deep breath in through your nose, allowing your eyes to close. Calm, calm is good.
A hand slips around your waist and immediately breaks the illusion of peace you’d summoned, and your eyes shoot back open.
Warmth emanates from your side, lips brushing the shell of your ear. A familiar sensation washes over your limbs at the proximity.
“We need to talk, a mhuirnín.”
Things happened very rapidly from the moment you heard someone in your ear, and a chaotic few minutes later finds you here.
In a room somewhat distant from the heart of the festivities, with none other than Shoto Todoroki. Perhaps it really was him you saw earlier. Probably should have looked a bit harder.
Shoto had led you here with a gentle grip on your wrist, and to be honest you’d just allowed him to pull you along. You saw his face and in your buzzed state its handsomeness had momentarily stunned you. Kind of sad, really.
The door clicks closed behind the two of you, but you notice that it doesn’t lock. When he draws closer, you see that he has positioned himself further from the door, and you closer. Oddly thoughtful, but it pains you a little bit to realise he is giving you an easy escape because you’ve been unreasonably dodging his presence like the plague everywhere you go.
“You’ve been avoiding me,” he says, without a single hint of accusation. You blink in surprise. His handsome features are neutral, and combined with his neat, dark clothes in stark contrast to the energy and crowd outside, it’s almost funny.
For once, your feet aren’t forcing you to flee. You decide to make the most of the opportunity.
“I have,” you admit, frowning a little. “Look… I should have said this sooner, but I’m sorry for how I acted when you came up to me. It’s not your fault, and I kind of just freaked out.”
Shoto tilts his head, reminding you of a puppy. You smack that thought down before it continues.
“You don’t have to apologise,” he says, and when his low, soft tone brushes your ears you find yourself relaxing involuntarily. His arms come up, hands cupping his elbows “I should have been more mindful of the fact that you’re… probably not used to things like that. I could have handled it better. I was just… excited. I apologise for making you uncomfortable.”
He continues to surprise you with each thing that leaves his mouth. His mismatched eyes are clear and earnest as they meet your own, thick brows drawn in a slight frown.
“As it turns out according to the magic, we are still married, though.”
Well, fuck.
The look on your face must be funny, because his lips tug up in a half smile. You can’t decide whether your heart dropped or skipped a beat as a result.
A different, familiar feeling is beginning to well in the depths of your chest. You attempt to squash the panic down, wanting to remain reasonable.
Shoto steps forward, head tilting once more. The music still booms in the background, but all you can focus on is him and the tingling feeling his gaze leaves on your skin.
“Why did you run, wife?”
For some reason, the term makes heat rush to your cheeks. It’s the alcohol, it has to be the alcohol.
Your sudden fluster has your mouth running before you can stop it.
“I- I can’t do it. I can’t just — This has all really happened so fast, and sudden, and I’m not ready for anything like this and I don’t – I don’t even really know you—“
You cut yourself off before you start sounding as panicked as you feel, and instantly regret the word-vomit you just released. A few beats of silence pass between you, each one weighing heavier on your shoulders, before the selkie finally hums.
“I have no intention of forcing you into anything,” Shoto says evenly, expression neutral despite the roiling depths of his mismatched eyes. Reading the look on your features, he seems to hesitate slightly before he continues, “Let me propose something, then. A bargain.”
Your eyebrows shoot up before you’re able to stop them. Shoto is offering to enter a faerie bargain with you? Something twists in your gut, a nameless feeling of unknown origin.
As though he can see the cogs turning in your head, the corner of his lips lifts in a half smile. He breathes in deeply, closing his eyes a moment before he lets the air go and meets your gaze once more.
The low, velvety timbre of his voice caresses your ears in the most persuasive of touches, almost succeeding in drawing your focus away from the important matter at hand.
“If you find that you do not have any feelings for me at all, come Midsummer’s Eve, then I will dissolve this marriage and leave you be.”
“That’s it?” you find yourself asking, disbelief colouring your words. Something deep within your chest is protesting his words, but you steadily ignore it. “If I don’t have romantic feelings for you in three months time, you’ll leave me be and you’ll drop this marriage thing?”
Shoto nods, and while his face still maintains neutrality, there is something solemn about the motion.
“You have my word,” he says, a glimmer flashing through his eye. “And as you know, I cannot lie.”
It’s rare for fae of any kind to propose a bargain that doesn’t suit them better in some way, so you find yourself reasonably shocked at the man’s words. You can’t find anything that would be a trick, can’t sniff out any possible loopholes. He has simply given you an out, a clearly marked exit from the situation you’ve found yourself in, and he’s presented it on a silver platter, It almost seems too good to be true, but in his defense… he hasn’t exactly been behaving in a way that is completely inappropriate. All he’s done is look good and call you ‘wife’.
“Okay,” you say, the word spilling out before you can lock it down. “You will have my answer by the end of Midsummer’s Eve. I agree to the terms of your bargain.”
Shoto smiles, and holds his hand out. His expression is kind, as always, but his smile… this one doesn’t reach his eyes. You ignore the way that observation makes your stomach sink, and take his hand into your own.
It’s like a spark of electricity, an instantaneous tingle that zips from the tips of your fingers and travels over your skin, up your arms. You don’t even realise you’ve gasped until you notice the look that Shoto is giving you, a mixture of amusement and fondness. It takes you a moment longer to realise that your hand is still holding his, and the deal has already been done.
You pull your arm away, the movement somewhat mechanical, but halt as you catch sight of something foreign on your skin. You’d offered your left hand to him, since that was the hand he had led with, and on that hand now lies the visual seal of your bargain. A delicate dance of white and scarlet winds around your ring finger, shifting and swirling over the back of your hand until it reaches your wrist, which it loops around once
Shoto’s eyes are trained on the mark, somewhat unfocused, as though he has become lost in thought.
“What a beautiful seal,” he murmurs to himself, before turning his attention absently to the one on his own hand.
While yours had been intricate and endearing like the curl and climb of ivy, his swirling lines are decorated with thorns and thistles. You’re confused at the sight – you would have thought that your marks would be the same, considering you’re equal parties in this bargain. Unless that isn’t the case…? You don’t really know enough about faerie law, you’ll have to go and do some research when you return home.
You do know, however, that Shoto frowns slightly upon seeing it, a look of poignant understanding flicking across his face.
He brings the hand to his chest palm resting over his heart, and turns his gaze to you. For a moment he simply looks, saying nothing, before a soft breath leaves him and he attempts a smile.
“I will let you get back, your friends are probably looking for you.” He turns, beginning to move towards the door.
“I’ll see you around, a mhuirnín.”
The sound of his receding footsteps mixes with the beats beyond the walls, and for a few moments you simply listen. When he reaches the door, words bubble in your throat.
“Shoto,” you call, before you can think better of it. You’re still in the same spot, flexing your hand like you expect to feel the mark branded painlessly on it every time you do. When he halts in the door way, head tilted slightly in your direction, you muster the will to continue.
“If, come Midsummer’s Eve, I find that I have feelings for you… what will happen, then?”
At your words, he turns his head so he can meet your gaze over his broad shoulder. The amused glint is back in his stormy hue, and a sly smile tugs his lips. You can feel your ears begin to burn in advance of his words.
“If, after three months time, you find yourself accepting of my feelings, the bond, and you come to me, wanting and willing... ” He hums, and the secretive curl of his lips is the last you see of his expression as he turns back.
“I suppose that’s something I can leave to your imagination, wife.”
He leaves before you can chase him out yourself.
— — —
Before he can even make it fully around the back of the building, Shoto’s gut seizes and his body convulses, hunching over. A wet cough rips from his throat and he retches, throat and nose burning from the acrid combination of bile and blood. He has a hand braced against the brick, nails catching against coarse, gritty clay as another round of spasms roil through his gut and leave him choking and sputtering. An explosive arc of dark, glistening maroon paints the building wall before him, stark in the moonlight.
As he leans, hunched over and braced heavily on the arm against the wall, he sincerely hopes there isn’t anyone who sees him in this moment of weakness. He is panting, attempting to catch his breath and banish that awful smell and taste from his senses. His eyes move of their own accord, boring into the ring of thorns that now gleam against his skin.
All of his life, he’d been told not to, had been warned of the consequences. He should have known better than to make a bargain he couldn’t keep.

When you woke up your ribs were sore and your knee hurt. You tried moving your knee slightly and it was immense pain and you weren’t able to bend it all the way. Pushing yourself up you hop over to the desk and open it up trying to find anything, you found a bottle of painkillers you open it only finding one and you took it. You open your staff using it as a cane as you exit the office entering the main area. The room was dark but there was light coming out of the windows.
The building was an old convenience store. Most of the shelves were looted, but you were able to find some snacks and other things, you head back into the office rolling up your pant leg to look at your knee. It was swollen with some bruising but you could hope nothing was broken. Fixing your pants you bring your staff to your leg using some medical tape and duct tape that you found to tape it against your leg as a sort of splint. You push yourself up to standing trying to keep your weight off your leg, you head back out looking around for something to hide your outfit, you find a large sweater and you tie part of your cloak up so it’s hidden under it. The sweater reaches your mid-thigh. It was the best disguise but you just needed to get somewhat closer back to the compound and out of the heroes’ watchful gaze.
You exit the store, the sun is rising with the streets are empty with only a few people walking by. You slowly walk your head on a consistent swivel not seeing any heroes patrolling or police. As you walk past a mother and her child you see something drop from the child's hands, catching the doll before it hits the ground you turn seeing the child looking at you. She doesn’t seem frightened by your appearance with the bruises and some blood still on you, her eyes are innocent, pure from the harsh cruel world you live in, the world you were forced into. You feel the nostalgia hit you, this was the same girl you saved over the winter during your work studies. Her eyes sparkling even with your disheveled appearance, her jaw drops slightly recognizing you. You hold the doll out and she grabs it, thanking you quietly before running off to her mother. You watch as the girl looks back once more giving a quick wave before she and her mother turn the corner disappearing from your view. Your eyes tear up slightly seeing that girl who impacted your old life. You could have had that life, a mother who was there, a brother that would fight around with you but still love you, a father who didn’t commit crimes and stayed, a family. You wipe unshed tears and turn back and continue walking, heroes only get a good life, and villains, get nothing but dirt.
After a bunch of walking and one quiet bus ride, you end up back at the compound. You limp up to the front gate seeing two guards standing there, their hands reaching for their guns.
“I wouldn’t do that.” You said and one of them steps forward.
“Get lost kid.” He grunts and you sigh, your hand reaching up and pulling the hood from your head, their eyes widen seeing Nemesis in front of them when they all heard you had died last night but also shocked to see you unmasked.
“N-Nemesis… You’re not dead.” The one guard says to open the gate for you while the other one is frantically talking into an earpiece.
“Yeah no...” You’re annoyed by his presence as you just want to go to the healer in the compound and get your leg fixed. You limp through the halls with the one guard following after he is trying to get you to stop.
“Nemesis.” A voice calls out from down the hall and you see it’s Kase. His eyes slightly widened, surprised by your disheveled appearance and the fact you are alive after you were shot. The guard is removed and Kase helps you into the healers’ room, immediately fusing over you, removing most of your clothing and the homemade brace so he could look at your injuries.
The healer pulls away from you his hands stop glowing, “You sustain many injuries which are healed now, you had bruised your ribs and sternum, your leg had gained a small fracture as well as the sprained knee.” You nod, thanking him, pulling your clothing back on, leaving the sweater, and heading out of the room. Kase is waiting outside and he brings you to Takami’s office. The doors open and you see him there, a smirk on his face almost expecting your return.
“There she is, alive and still fighting.” He claps as you enter, “I knew you were special after you defeated my champion.” He stands up walking around his desk and towards you circling you like a vulture ready to feast on its meal. “Special you are. Your prowess exceeds many of my strongest men, you would be a worthy opponent if you were a hero.” He is behind you and you freeze up when his hands land on your shoulders. Did he know something? Was all your work ruined?
“Luckily you're on my side, you remain loyal which says much. If only my own were as loyal as you were.” You feel your heartbeat quicken, his own. Funny how his own was in front of him right now. He walks back to his desk pulling out a cigar and lighting it, his wings stretching out covering the windows behind him giving the room a red glow. “You won’t fail me, you’re too good for that...too perfect.” His gaze is piercing and you feel like you are going to crack under his burning gaze. “You may leave now.” He waves you out, you nod bowing before taking your leave.
Your walk back to your room seems to drag as your head was elsewhere. The way he was talking and acting were way too cryptic for you not to react to, he has to know something. Does he already know you’re his child and is just toying with you, you could wait for that answer, and if the Pros knew anything about Takami they might be planning to attack here. You had to strike now. Night falls the compound silent as you exit your room, your heightened sense helping you figure out where the guards were. Your room was on the opposite side of the compound away from Takami’s office and the number of guards and all would take some time.
You are deadly cutting down opponents, the others not having a chance to react as you whip past them dead before they even hit the ground. You're just about to be at Takami’s office when you see someone exiting from a door next to it. The person turns and faces the end of a gun.
Kase sighs seeing you are the one holding it, “Give me your weapon.” Your face is void of any emotion as he pulls his gun out handing it to you and you throw it behind you.
“I knew this day would come, Nemesis, but it’s still a shame.” He says and you scoff.
“Open Takami’s door.” You press the gun harder against his face and he turns and you walk him towards the door.
Kase knocks on the door, “Sir a word.” You hear him grunt in response and a clicking noise and then Kase opens the door. The bullet rips through his skull and he falls dead, blood staining the rug. Takami is silently watching you as you close the door and you hear the automatic lock click behind you, the gun still pointed at him.
“Quite a surprise isn’t it Nemesis.” He says pouring himself a drink and you step over Kase’s bloody body going closer to the desk.
“What’s your connection with the League of Villains?” You demand and he looks at you before taking a sip of his drink.
“Nothing but business, increase trade, gain alliances.” He says placing the glass down. “Now why would my prized champion betray me?”
You scoff, “You’re a wanted man, the heroes would be overjoyed knowing you're arrested or better yet dead.” You hold your finger over the trigger and you see a smirk grow on his face.
“By all means, if this makes you feel better kill me, though would you really kill your dear father.” You falter, lowering the gun slightly and his grin grows. How did he know? “You may have been able to trick your foolish brother in your appearance, but it’s hard to fool your father. Though your mind didn’t hide your secrets either.” Your mind? “Kase, my best man, had a mind-reading quirk. Knew who you were when you first showed up at my doors, getting revenge on those who wronged you, bit harsh don’t you think darling.”
“Don’t call me that you bastard.” You hiss out and he laughs.
“What a spitfire! Keigo was weak, he took after his mother, but you..you followed right after me. Keigo killing that villain is nothing more than what you have done. Your ledger is gushing red with blood, just like mine. I thought you both brought shame to my name but you deserve it more than anyone. Y/n Takami, my champion...my daughter.” You're nothing like him, he murdered innocent people, and you killed villains that did wrong in the world.
“I’m nothing like you, where is the League of Villains hiding.” Your gaze was fierce and he shrugs.
“How should I know? You must be desperate to go after them, what did they do, hurt your friends at U.A.?” He mocks you, enjoying your frustration. You could hear sirens approaching the compound, you were right they were going to strike now. “Would you look at that? They’re here. We can have a great family reunion with your brother, wouldn’t that be swell.” He laughs while finishing his drink.
He opens a drawer next to him and you hold your finger on the trigger ready to shoot him, “Oh hush I’m not going to kill you.” He pulls out a phone tossing it at you and you catch it. “You want to get to the League, that’s your ticket. Think of it as a final gift for not being there.” You look at him taking in his appearance and attitude, he’s calm, not a single drop of fear almost accepting what is happening.
“This doesn’t forgive everything you did to me and Keigo.” You say and he laughs.
“I was never asking for forgiveness, you seek revenge. I'm just a stepping stone to get there. I’m only giving you a push in the right direction.” You look into his eyes seeing no ounce of deceit, almost feeling guilty. You shouldn’t feel bad for him, he left you abandoned like you were garbage.
“Why did you do it? Why did you leave me?” You say your throat all choked up tears stinging the back of your eyes. His mouth opens slightly, not expecting this question, and he pauses before looking back at you.
“Fatherhood was never meant for me. You would have gotten a better life without me, it seems like I was wrong though.” You feel your hands shake and you raise the gun ready to end it, cutting off all ties from your past the man in front of you ended your life before it even began. Your hand trembles holding the weapon and you bring your other hand up to stabilize it trying to focus on the man who wasn’t doing anything to stop you. You cry dropping the gun at your feet feeling like you were going to throw up.
“I can’t…” You feel a weight lift off you, you couldn’t kill him, you can’t kill him, you won’t. You look up looking at his surprised expression. “You say I’m like you, but I'm not.” You say and he nods. The sounds of sirens are louder, and you could hear voices inside the compound. Putting the phone in one of the pouches, you pick up your gun, and head towards the door before turning back to him. “I hope you get the punishment you deserve.”
“Y/n.” He calls out and you turn back to him, “You may be like me, but you still have the kindness and looks from your mother.” A permanent smirk is on his face as he takes one last look at his daughter before you turn and leave the room, letting your past go. You can hear police and some heroes inside and you rush outside running off into the night.
The compound is full of bodies, none of them alive, just a path of blood and death leading to a room. The locked door to the office burst open as police entered, taking into account the deceased Tadashi Kase, a bullet shell on the ground next to Kase, and one Shinyo Takami sitting at his desk drinking some liquor. Two heroes enter and Takami smirks seeing the Number One and Two Hero in front of him.
“Pleasure seeing you two again.” He grins at Endeavor's stone-cold face but finds more enjoyment in seeing his son's angry face as he looks at his father.
“Where is she?” Keigo says glaring at his father as he takes a sip from his drink.
“Just missed her, she is great don’t you think Keigo? Seeing the differences between the two of you, you are definitely the weaker one.” Keigo rushes forward but is held back by Endeavor and Takami laughs. “You’ll have to work harder to stop her, if she’s able to take down all my men she’ll be a real opponent.”
“Cut the jokes, where is she?” Keigo growls if looks could kill his father would be dead ten times over.
“Off to the League, you’ll have to be faster to be able to get her.” The police grab Takami, cuff him and begin leading him out of his office. “You won’t be able to stop her, Keigo! She’ll be finished when they are dead or if she dies herself!” He yells at his son as he is dragged off. Keigo feels another chance of getting closer to you slipping away. What a horrible family reunion.
You rush far away from Hosu, you run through the streets jumping over buildings flying through the air the entire night until it was the early morning far away from the heroes. You land on the side of a fallen building sliding through some debris on your landing feeling some rubble give you some scratches. The sun is barely rising and it's raining lightly, you pull out the phone you were given by your father seeing conversations between Giran and him. The latest one is a meet-up two days from now at Kamino Ward, this is just what you needed. You stand up ready to leave when you see below you a group of people standing in front of the All Might statue in his honor at Ground Zero in Kamino. A sign had been placed along his chest saying ‘I AM NOT HERE’. In front of the group seemed to be some kind of person on the ground, you couldn’t see much detail you assumed they were in trouble. Looking down at the crowd you see a villain amongst the crowd, Dictator, a villain that escaped Tartarus. You were hesitant to go down to help, but you decided to when you see the crowd rushing towards the person as they cry for help.
You pull your staff out jumping from the building, you land creating a crack in the ground as you rush to the crowd. They seem to ignore you as you rush towards Dictator, you slide the blades along the lines connecting him to some of the civilians breaking the connection. Dictator turns to see you and is about to send others to attack you when an explosion hits his head right as your staff pierces him in the chest. You don’t give Dictator a second thought, pulling away and heading towards the person that was the cause of all this. You didn’t have time to save people, you weren’t a hero anymore, the people around him are shocked that they are free as you walk up to the person. You freeze seeing someone you thought was safe back in U.A. his clothes were dirty and ruined, he wore a yellow scarf or cape around his neck. His hair was all messy, his face dirty and covered in bruises and scratches. His eyes were empty, lacking that spark you adored when seeing him.
“Midoriya..” You whisper and he looks up seeing a villain that Hawks and Endeavor were looking for, Nemesis. He tries to scooch away but you hold out your hand, “No stop!” You say pulling the hood off your head and his eyes widen seeing his classmate under it.
“Takami…” You were Nemesis, the villain that had a large number of murders on her, specifically villains. Your eyes were dull though there was some surprise from you seeing him. You had blood on your clothes and your face, he was expecting anyone, an assassin from All For One, a member of the League, or someone from the Paranormal Liberation, but not you. You hear a loud blast and you feel a chill hit you, turning around shocked to see all of your classmates there. They weren’t here for you no one knew where you were, they were here for him. You look back at Midoriya who is still shocked by your appearance.
“Oi! You step away from Deku!” You hear Bakugo yell at you, making you smile slightly.
You step back from him and he scrambles to stand up, “You’re Nemesis...why?” He asks, his tired eyes sad as he looks over you.
“I thought you were safe..” You say not answering his questions pulling the hood over your head and you can hear Bakugo still yelling at you. Midoriya grabs your wrist looking at you, you feel that same fluttering feeling when you look at him.
“I’m not letting you leave.” His face is serious and you knew this wasn’t going to be an easy fight. You twist your wrist kicking him in the gut sending him back a bit, you pull out your staff, the blade out pointing it at him.
“Don’t try to stop me.” You said and you hear an explosion and Bakugo yelling heading towards you, “You’re not getting away villain!”
A cloud of smoke appears and you look around. Where did this come from? You use it as your escape, running off you hear a loud explosion.
“Don’t let them get away!” Bakugo yells as the smoke clears. You look back seeing Midoriya has his mask on and green lightning surrounding him as he chases after you.
You jump against a building pushing yourself off and jumping over towards another one. You feel something around your waist and you see Midoriya's blackwhip, as he tries to pull you back. You get separated when the tape comes between the two of you sending you apart and you fall crashing to the ground a crater being made. You groan, pushing yourself up feeling your joint crack as well as bruises forming from the fall. You see some of your classmates going after Midoriya, so you’ll use it as an escape.
“Don’t think we’re done with you.” You hear Bakugo yell at you, sending explosions your way. You dodge them flipping over landing just in time to barely dodge a punch from Kirishima sparks coming off your arm brace, if only they knew who was under the hood they wouldn’t be fighting this harshly well maybe Bakugo would. You twist around Kirishima, swiping his legs out from him and you see Bakugo's fist heading towards you. You swing your leg out hitting one of the gauntlets and it cracks, you twist, swing your other leg, your foot connecting with his jaw and he goes flying across the plaza. Any other time he would have gone back a bit and his gauntlet wouldn’t have any damage but that was before you removed the implant. Not giving a second time to waste you take off just as you are running you see Midoriya shoot out of a building heading towards you. A large wall of ice comes up hitting Midoriya in place as well as trapping your legs.
“It’s over villain! Give up.” You hear one of your classmates say to you. You tug at your feet feeling the ice crack slightly but with how close your classmates were you could hear Midoriya crack through the ice as well. You had no way out, your options were completely cut off. You see your closest friends in front of you as they walk towards you ready to apprehend you.
“Don’t move!” You yell, in your time with your friends that you met and grew great relationships with you never thought they would be at the end of the gun you held in your hands. They are frozen as you wave it in front of you. Kirishima is standing in front of Mina and Jiro protecting them and Bakugo and Sero knew they couldn’t do much with the weapon pointed at all of them. You can feel your feet become slightly looser as one foot comes free from the ice. You can hear sirens heading towards the plaza and ahead you could see Endeavor. If Endeavor was here Keigo couldn’t be far behind.
“You’re that new villain aren’t you, you killed a lot of people!” Bakugo yells out wanting to attack you but with the gun pointed at his classmates, he can’t do much. You pull your other foot out just as you hear the ice crack above you and someone is crashing into you sending you both skidding across the ground, your gun flying out of your hands.
Your head knocks against the ground and you wince, above you, Midoriya is holding you down, “You were going to shoot them!” He shakes your arms in his grasp shouting down at you. “Your classmates...your friends!” He yells at you tears are in his eyes. You froze looking up at his face as he yells, tears hit your face cleaning the dried blood and dirt off you.
When had it all gone wrong, was it when you decided not to kill your father, or when you saw Keigo in that alleyway two nights ago or was it when you thought you could just leave everything behind to go after one man? You hear the police arriving and other heroes but your gaze is still on Midoriya.
“I should hate you! Everything you’ve done makes you a villain, but I can’t!” He cries holding your arms making sure you wouldn’t try to push him off but you stopped struggling when you saw who was above you.
“We were supposed to become heroes together!”
You remember a time when becoming a hero was forced upon you by the commission to survive in the world, you had no choice then but then you met Midoriya. A boy with green hair and eyes full of wonder and life, it was his contagious personality and light that radiated off him that changed your job to become a hero to become a dream. You both were going to be great heroes together but here you were, one a vigilante the other a mass murderer. The fog in your head with being with Midoriya clears when you realize you were surrounded by police and Pro Heroes.
You push Midoriya off you scrambling backward when you feel the fabric of your clothing tighten, immobilizing you in place. Best Jeanist’s work. Police come over pulling you up and Detective Tsukauchi comes up to you.
“You were quite hard to catch, you would have had a good future if you just stayed in U.A.” One of the officers holding you pulls your hood off you revealing your face, shocking your classmates, the person they had been fighting, the one that pulled a gun on them, the one called Nemesis was you.
“Y/n Takami, you are under arrest for charges of multiple counts of first-degree murder, first-degree murder on an officer, working alongside major gang organizations, breaking and entering on government property, and assault on Pro Heroes and hero students. You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law. You lose the right to an attorney due to your crimes.” You are cuffed with quirk restraining cuffs although it would have no effect since you lacked one at the moment. You are pushed to get walking, you avoid the gazes of your classmates who are staring at you in horror and shock as they listen to the charges. You were nothing like the girl they knew before.
As you are brought towards a transport you see ahead of you the top three heroes. Endeavor and Best Jeanist look disappointed in what you had become and Keigo, he couldn’t even look at you. You weren’t the same girl he looked after, you were supposed to be a hero, not this. They put you in the van and you turn back to look at those you had failed. Some of your classmates won’t look at you while others keep looking trying to figure out if this was even real. Your gaze is only focused on Midoriya who is still sitting on the ground staring back at you, he is the same as when you saw him earlier, tired and hopeless. The doors close and here you are stuck in a van full of officers as you will probably get shipped off to Tartarus, will Keigo try to help you probably not you were a villain they all said so and here you were. You feel hopeless, handcuffed and your legs chained to the floor of the van with the cuffs connecting. It was just like that dream you had chained to the ground unable to do anything or say anything. You thought you could do something to make the world a better place, but where did that lead you? A wanted criminal with her future crumbling in front of her.
Midoriya doesn’t move from his spot. All the time he thought you were safe back with the class, probably pissed off at him but safe nonetheless. But here you were in the same scenario he was in, on the run from while he was working to find a way to stop All For One you were out joining a gang and racking up murders and crime. He almost didn’t recognize you but it wasn’t until you took your hood off and he saw your eyes he knew it was you. Your beautiful eyes used to hold some form of innocence when they twinkled when you played arcade games together, or when they crinkled closed when you laughed or smiled at what he said, but now they were cold and dull as if they were holding all the world’s problems in them. When did things go wrong? Why didn’t he try to talk to you when you got out of the hospital, he could have stopped you from going down this path.
“Midoriya…” Iida calls out to him and he looks seeing his classmates near him each having their worries about what they all just experienced. This was all his fault if he had been stronger if he stopped Shigaraki then if he knew what Dabi had done to you none of this would have happened. Izuku pushes himself to stand stumbling, slightly exhausted from the nonstop fighting, and this revelation wasn’t not helping.
“Deku!” Bakugo calls out to him, making him look up at him, Bakugo hesitates to step forward.
“Come back to U.A.,” Mina says and he shakes his head, he couldn’t go back, he wanted you with him.
“I can’t go back, things are different now.”
Bakugo scoffs, “You think just because you have all these quirks and responsibilities you can just push us away!”
“You all were supposed to be safe!” Izuku yells out and all of Class 1-A knows who he’s talking about by staying safe.
“Listen I always looked down on you because you didn’t have a quirk. You were always behind me, but now you're ahead of me by miles and I couldn’t deal with it. I didn’t want to believe you could be better so I denied it all until you got into U.A and I knew I lost. You had everything Deku, the quirk, the mentor, and I didn’t. You improved better than I ever could,” Bakugo spills all the insecurities he had since they met, from their time together as children, to middle school, to them in U.A., even now. “I know none of this does any justice for what I did to you. Izuku, I’m sorry for everything until now.” Izuku's eyes widened in all the times he knew Kacchan he was only referred to as Deku or Nerd or any insult he could come up with. Hearing his name come out of his mouth meant something that seemed to break the walls he put up when he left U.A.
“The path you’re taking with All Might isn’t wrong but you can't do it all on your own, you can barely stand, you’re physically and mentally not there. Even All Might couldn’t do what you’re doing now. So get better and continue on but the things you can’t do, let us remove some of the burdens.” Bakugo points back at his classmates who look at him pleading with their expressions to come back. “Y/n wouldn’t want you to kill yourself over this.” Your name feels like a bullet piercing him, would it have been you telling him all this, begging him to come back to the class to you?
Tears fill his eyes, “I’m sorry..” He takes one step but his body gives in and Bakugo catches him and Izuku cries into his shoulder, all the burdens and weight falling away as he wept. “I’m sorry…I’m sorry to all of you.” He sobs his tears, cleaning the dirt and grime off his face as he cries.
“We know you are,” Momo says they are all tired and relieved but the thought of you still didn’t make it all better.
“Tsukauchi-san! Endeavor-san! Hawks-san!” One of the officers calls out to them frantically and class 1-A turns to see the commotion. “What is it?” Tsukauchi asks. “The transport was intercepted and attacked by a group of Nomus and a villain.” Keigo feels his blood run cold, you were attacked, you may be a criminal but he still will worry about you.
“When did this happen?!” Endeavor shouts ready to go after the villains and Nomus.
“About 15 minutes ago sir, someone was able to send a distress call. Everyone on the transport and escort was killed.” You were dead, his sister died in fear knowing that the last thing she saw or felt was the hatred and disappointment from her friends and family.
“And the prisoner? What happened to her?” Keigo asks ready to receive the news that his sister is dead.
“In the call, one officer said that there were flames before the line went dead.” The officer says. All of class 1-A are nervous. They knew the things you did were wrong but they never wished death on you.
“What..what color were the flames..” Keigo says. He knew there was nothing he could do to take back what you did but he would be damn sure you wouldn’t go through what happened to you again. His nightmare of you going back to him is coming true and leaves an uneasy feeling in his stomach.
“Blue.”
The transport journey is silent, your gaze is focused on the cuffs around your hands, you probably could break through them but you didn’t have the will anymore to fight. You gave up once you lost sight of your friends and brother, you never should have left, you should have let Keigo help you but you thought you were strong. But you weren’t. Your father was wrong, you were weak..imperfect. The transport jolts as it slams on its breaks sending you sliding slightly as well as the officers in the back with you.
“What the hell! Why’d we stop?” One officer says banging the wall towards the driver to get their attention. You hear a roar coming from outside before the truck is hit sending it down the highway and flipping over a bunch. You're tossed around but with you chained to the bottom of the truck you get jolted a bit the chains digging into your wrist and ankles when it flips. Your head hits the side and you blackout as the truck continues to flip before stopping on its side. Your vision is blurry and your ears are ringing as you hear the sound of gunfire and yelling over before you hear screams. You blink slightly seeing the back doors open one of the doors ripped off, you lay on your back your head fuzzy as you try to push yourself up. You wince slightly, pressing a hand against your temple pulling back and seeing red. You see in the back of the van lay your staff and your knife, you pull at the cuffs seeing it short circuit before cracking.
You pull your wrist apart, the cuffs falling off you, you hear a roar followed by gunfire, “There’s too many of them!” You hear someone scream before you see someone get flinging against the door. It dents and you see them drop blood surrounding them and you see a Nomu rush past the door. Your heart drops, what were Nomus doing here?! You tug against the chains around your ankles pulling yourself closer and trying to reach out toward your staff. The screams get louder as the Nomus tear through the people outside. You can still hear someone alive until you see flames erupting shooting past the van doors and then screams. You feel true fear and panic for the first time in a while, the blue flames that caused all your pain and trauma.
You tug harder against the chains, one of them breaking and you stretch reaching your fingers brushing your staff but not reaching. You hear voices and the sound of the Nomus getting closer to the back doors, you turn back to the chain tugging harder. What did they even make these out of? You pull with all your strength feeling it snap and you jump forward reaching your staff just as you feel something wrap around your leg. Your fingers curl around your staff as you are pulled out the truck is sent flying out as you hit the pavement rolling a bit. You sit up seeing a large amount of Near High-End Nomus two in front of you, one of them has the head of some kind of animal, the teeth are razor-sharp, and the other has a long neck on all fours with a few behind them. You scramble up, turning to run when you are face to face with another large Nomu. This one has a large mouth, it has teeth surrounding its entire head, you scream falling back trapped between them all. They are just staring at you, panting blood all over their bodies. You hear someone crouch down behind you but before you could do anything you feel a hand wrap around your neck and you can feel the warm hand as he holds you in place.
He leans into your ear, his breath hot as you are frozen in fear. You thought you were free.
“I got you songbird~”
Seconds ticked by as you sat frozen millions of thoughts running through your head. Any thoughts of attempting to run end in your death and you did not want to end up like the officers surrounding you. You felt bile rise in your throat. The pavement of the highway where you are is stained red with blood and guts. The Nomus tore through them the police escort car flipped over on fire as well as the transport truck parts were in blue flames. You feel Dabi’s hand around your throat just holding it, not putting pressure just a reminder of what he could do.
“When I received your message I thought you would have been involved with your brother and those pathetic heroes, but here you are. A high-ranking villain, part of one of the most notorious gangs in Japan, your ledger is drenched red.” Dabi laughs, “What did they call you Nemesis… Right?” You’re silent as trying to form words seems like the hardest thing to do.
“what...what are you going to do to me…” You whisper your gaze glued to the ground in front of you, you don't want to look at the blood-thirsty Nomus, or the dead bodies around you, and especially Dabi. Your hand grips the staff, this was your only form of defense, you knew you wouldn’t be able to defeat Dabi and the Nomus but you could still get some damage.
You feel his hand leave your neck and you take in a shaky breath bringing your hand up to your throat. You turn to see him standing above you, the dark aura he radiates and the Nomus around you make a chill run down your spine.
He stuffs his hands in his coat pockets smirking, “So many things songbird…” You feel the bile rise in your throat and you cough black ooze. You choke on the ooze as it comes out quickly and you see the same thing happen to the Nomus. The black liquid surrounds you and the last thing you see is Dabi grinning at you with a sadistic gleam in his eyes. The cage you were once free of is now locked, and you were not getting out this time. All that is left on the abandoned highway is the burning vehicles and the mass amount of bodies, conveniently a traffic camera picks up the entire accident but the location of where you went is unknown.

NOTES & WARNINGS none
SERIES the shoe repairman & his lover
Tumblr media
The cold air of the night makes you blow against your hands that clasp together, rubbing them together feverishly before stuffing them deep into the pockets of your coat. You let out a sigh that forms a visible cloud, not exactly looking forward to the walk home from the restaurant that seemed distant as the air grew colder with every step forward.
“You heading that way?” Bakugou points in the direction of your home and you nod. “I’ll walk with ya. It’s on my way.” You nod again, cheeks warm, though certainly because of the alcohol. There’s few cars that pass by as you walk, lights illuminating what little territory the shadows overcame that the street lamps couldn’t reach.
The man next to you has his briefcase in one hand, kept opposite of you so as to not bump into your legs as you walk. There’s a crack in the sidewalk, one that you don’t see as the toe of your shoe catches on it. Before you can make the great fall, a hand brings you to stand straight again by your elbow, almost like a force of the universe that was against the thought of you falling.
You look at the hand on your elbow, abnormally warm for such cold weather, but you find that you don’t mind the heat. “Oh, thank you.” You look up at Bakugou and shoot him a little smile. He nods and lets out a grunt. His hand falls from your elbow and you start to grow cold once again.
The walk continues without another word uttered, the sound of your shoes hitting the pavement conversing with one another in a repetition of clicks and clacks until you stop in front of a building. “This is me,” You look at him. “Thanks for walking me home.” He nods.
You watch as he turns away for a split second before turning back to you, almost as if he was conflicted on whether to say something or not. “Mm,” You wait. “Good night.” He almost rushes the words out, standing stiffly in the cold as he waits for your response. “Good night, Bakugou. Get home safe.” You smile at him.
He gives a small smile back, nearly unnoticeable had it not been for the warm light casting from the lobby of your apartment building. You turn away when he does, the smoothing of the crease between his eyebrows making him seemingly content, until you hear a rush of footsteps that starts to increase in volume just as it decreased seconds before.
“Wait! Uhm,” You don’t think to expand further on Bakugou’s hesitation, especially when he starts to look nervous in front of you. “I—I realized I don’t have your number, not formally.” You look down to where he’s taken out his phone, and you almost let out a laugh. It’s... cute.
“Right, but it’s only fair if I can get yours.” You exchange phones, double-checking and triple-checking to make sure you’ve put in your number right before exchanging phones again. “Text me when you get home?” You offer and he nods, and that’s when you see the tension in his posture leave his body, looking as if it also let him breath easier as you watch him walk until he’s out of sight. Finally, you let out the chuckle you had been holding back, smiling giddily as you make your way back to your apartment.
You’ve nearly finished settling into the coziness of your home, starting your nightly routine when you get Bakugou’s text.
Just got back home
Was the walk ok?
It’s fine, but I left my window open so now my place is cold as fuck
You find yourself texting back and forth, a constant flow of messages easing into the conversation that has you taking double the time you normally would doing your nightly routine. Though it’s nothing you regret as you bid goodnight and lay in bed with a smile, fondly thinking of the next time you’ll be able to see the man again.
