i was just thinking of starting to do food prep! any tips for absolute beginners / idiots like myself? ❤️

oh!!! 😅😅

1. would be if it’s for work lunches, try and get tupperware like bento boxes etc that lets you separate rice/grains/pasta from sauces or curries etc so they don’t get soggy!!

2. if it’s not for lunch, then i tend to just meal prep sauces or curries etc and then cook whatever carb i’m having as and when i need it - that way you can freeze things like chillis and pasta sauces if you don’t end up wanting them that day and don’t have to worry about wasting anything

3. get some little dressing pots from amazon or somewhere like that for salad dressing

4. don’t be shy to take fun things to work - like a lot of the time i’ll bring curries or noodle dishes or my favourite pasta dishes. i never really understand people saying they get bored of meal prep agdjfjf like as long as ur making ur fave foods what’s not to love?

5. if i’m cooking hot food, i tend to cook in batches of 4 and then freeze at least one portion depending on my week ahead

In day-to-day, no. Spices are usually saved for fancy meals, like casseroles and stuff. Sometimes I think my parents will put a tiny bit of cumin on meat, but idrk.

sooooo I kinda watched the unfinished PV while working on this guy and uhh idrk how to explain? the only word im coming up with rn is teamwork but it doesn’t feel right. the -ness of needing to rely on other people to fully form. it has robotic limbs and meat limbs that can attach interchangeably, but someone else has to attach them. and so they have to be switched for different tasks. also, the plants on it symbolize life and dying and life coming back which was also a cool thing I thought about the song 👍. the hue slider and tint/shade slider are more in tune with the “dimensional” part of it…. but those are a few spoilers :) I’ll say it’s important tho! the color of its antenna orb thing are what “dimension” it is currently in, and can be changed with the sliders and the press of the green button. also it doesn’t open its eyes

oops I slept all day again but i had some really cool ass dreams and I wanted to finish them lmfao

1) i was al and he had killed himself and came back as a ghost and the majority of the dream was just floating around random places and into them. we did so many home invasions.

i went to his old school to traumatize his old bullies with his ghostly form

i think he comes back to life maybe at the end im not sure because i remember rosie supporting him walking cuz he wasn't too stable on his feet for some reason

also we went to sheldons house for some reason and he lived in this gas station looking thing and you had to go down stairs and through security and gates like damn dude who's coming here

2) ame was in octo ex except she skipped levels so this one was like, practice which was bullshit

anyway we were in a mall and we got to explore around and it was a reused brain location it was cool as hell i wish it was real! anyway it was all a simulation and no one could actually interact or see her but she had a really fun time running around the mall, couldn't really buy anything though. all the exits and shops were barried off invisible force field style

she got some money for bao to eat before she started the test

the test was weird it was timed and the tasks were like "pet this frog" "brush this turtle" warioware ass shit...

the one I remember specifically was the final one where she had to finish this meal which was a burger. she (me) asked if she could not eat the tomatoes and tartar disembodied ai voice was like sure but you have to eat all of the rest of the burger. and like she dropped some onion rings on the floor somehow and had to eat it off the floor as per the rules 😭

also there was a side of bulgolgi with the burger idk why. No rice just meat. She took it to go it was good i think

anyway she successfully passed but was obviously grossed out by having to eat public floor onion rings, but she got money and food for passing so...

also for some reason as she was on her way to the elevator to leave the mall testing area she was chased by a creepypasta sonic that was kinda scary as shit okay!

also there were ads for the bulgolgi burger place in the elevator LMAO

3) same setting, ame is in octo ex, but the task this time was to like, scoop as much random shit from these barrels with a pair of tongs as u could. however this was knockout style, there were 3 other people, and one of them was ame's mom. Actually my mom in the dream but via dream logic it was ames mom. the other two were random hs classmates i think they're unimportant and I forgot lmao. anyway the winner got to move on but everyone else would be executed...

the supermarket was like hmart but one that doesn't exist. it was kinda like one i frequent but the layout was fucked up. anyway the shit in the barrels was literally random, there was sushi and watermelons and bottles of tea and frozen food but if u could pick it up you won and also you'd get to keep it although the stuff in the barrel was decoys. Allegedly. It was definitely real food being fumbled around but whatever.

anyway I developed a method to pick them up fairly easily which was to actually just balance them instead of using the giant ass tongs which thinking back should be a worse strategy but whatever 🤷🏻‍♀️ dream logic ig

i had piles and piles of stuff while the two randos were fumbling and my mom was doing fine, but ended up helping me instead of finishing hers

i ran out of stuff to pick up and started picking up random shit from nearby shelves and tartar yelled at me

in the end i (ame) won and so everyone else was to die and then I got distracted thinking about how i could incorporate these dreams into ame's canon story somehow bc they gave me emotions but i don't think it would make sense for her to have a dead mom in my story idrk. anyway cuz of that I never really finished that dream properly and that's probably a good thing bc it'd be weird to see your mom die via goop telephone

that's it I think lmao it's pitch black now oopsie. i actually woke up at 10 and then went back to sleep #fuck

4) i was chasing my friend mozzy around in alterna, she had a squeezer and i had this fucked up in-between gun of splash and jet squelcher and it looked like a hand drill. moz could self heal but it was like potions so she was kinda fucked if it ran out HOWEVER! some dude who was a capybara came over and set me on minecraft fire and i was so flabbergasted I just stood there and died 👍

and that was the entire dream it was the shortest one I've ever had

Yeah!! I’ve been watching/listening to Dimension 20 a lot lately, sometimes I just listen to music or video essays too though. Dead Meat (if kill counts etc. count as video essays?? I feel like they do but idk), Jordan Fringe and Jenny Nicholson are some fun YouTubers for it, but oftentimes I just try out whatever’s on my recommended rather than going to anyone specific

I don’t usually eat while drawing, if I do it’s something that won’t get things messy like.. idk pretzels or something.

But usually I’ll drink a fuckton of water or tea while I’m drawing, and then the second I finish a piece or turn off my PC or whatever I realize how much I’m suffering because I do actually have a bladder in this human body of mine (You rly didn’t ask to know that part but I NEEDED to yell about it with fingers crossed that someone else will say they do the same thing)

o1. With which one of your friends do you spend the most time? With which friend do you spend the least amount of time? Would you like to change this in any way? I don’t really get to...spend time with my friends, in that sense. For very obvious reasons. But I talk to Angela and Reena the most. Andi and I talk a lot too, but not everyday. 

Among my friends, I probably talk to my college group the least these days, but that’s mostly because 2/3 of them are pursuing law school, and the 1/3 have jobs and are as busy as I am. We’re still as tight as ever and our group chat becomes active at least once a week.

o2. What four states in the USA would you most like to visit? Which four countries would you most like to visit? States: Illinois, Louisiana, New York, Utah. Countries: Malta, Switzerland, Thailand, South Korea.

o3. If you have one, how often do you watch your favorite television show? How long has this show been your favorite? I’m not a big TV person, tbh. The closest thing to my favorite would be Friends, which I rewatch at least one episode of once a month though I used to watch it FAR more often than that, hahaha. I think I first hooked to it...I wanna say 2018?Or 2019. Sometime in between those years. o4. Would it bother you if your boyfriend hugged other females (think hypothetically if you don’t have one)? Why or why not? No. He’s allowed to have girl friends. The only reason it bothered me when it was Gabie was because we were both aware that her guy friends were genuinely into her. I never channeled my annoyance towards her though; I was definitely more pissed off at those guys for not learning how to back off when needed.

o5. If you had snow-days as a kid, how did you spend them? Do you like the snow, in general? We don’t have snow, but our equivalent would be days off school because of a typhoon. Anyway, I just spent them lounging around and mostly watching stuff on YouTube. In college I was a bit more diligent and would use the extra time to catch up on readings.

o6. Do you know anyone who does hard drugs? Would you ever befriend someone that did? Not that I am aware of. I probably wouldn’t befriend someone who did if we weren’t already close, because there’s no telling what kind of influence they would be on me.

o7. When was the last time that you were afraid for your life? Did this incident change you in any way? When I was really sick back in May. Not really, I just wanted to recover as quickly as possible.

o8. Do you enjoy taking pictures? Is it just for fun, or do you make an attempt at actual photography? I didn’t then, but it’s something I’m trying to do more often now. I’ve realized I have very few souvenirs from the last few years because I barely took photos then, so it sucks not being able to revisit memories and ending up forgetting others completely. I definitely don’t plan to take it so far as taking photography lessons; taking pictures from my own perspective and in my own style suffices.

o9. Have you ever had low self-esteem? How is your self-esteem now? Yeah, sure. I had a recent phase of it because of the breakup, but I’ve recovered from it. My self-esteem is a lot healthier and more stable these days.

o1o. When you see someone sickly-thin, what is your first thought? Nothing for the most part, but I would obviously be concerned if that person was starting to show worrying signs of malnutrition. Idrk what you mean by sickly-thin.

o11. Do hospitals make you nervous? Why or why not? Do you have any bad hospital experiences? Not really, only because I’ve rarely had to go there.

o12. What did you dress up as the last time you went Trick-or-Treating? Who went with you? I went as Sofie, my old best friend from high school.

o13. What is one thing you miss most from your childhood? What do you miss the least? The part about having less responsibilities and more time to just have fun and do whatever I want. But I didn’t really have a picture-perfect childhood either, so my list of things I don’t miss for sure trumps the list of stuff I do miss.

o14. What would be the biggest challenge involved in raising a child at your age? How to send them to a good school because I don’t make nearly enough to afford tuition for another person.

I don’t know, honestly; and the thought kind of scares me. I know my parents wouldn’t provide support whatsoever, so I’d have to claw my way to find it from other people who would be willing. I’d probably need to take an extra job to earn enough money to support us both.

o16. Have you ever had unprotected sex? What would you tell a young teen thinking about having unprotected sex? Yeah, but I was also with a girl, so...idk. I don’t have a lot of sexual experience either so I dunno what sort of advice to tell a teen other than ‘don’t do it,’ lmao.

Patience in the sense that I tend to be sensitive, so if they crack a joke that I ended up getting hurt or offended by, or if I get triggered by something minor that would otherwise be normal for anyone else, I hope they are patient enough to ride the wave out with me. I didn’t experience that with my past partner, and was often told to just stop being sensitive.

o19. Do you still talk to the first person you ever dated? If not, would you want to? Why or why not? No, because doing so is detrimental to my well-being.

The latter mostly stems from insecurities I will feel from seeing other families on social media, who always seem to be having a better and fancier time than I am. 1. i'm a vegetarian! i might go vegan one day but atm i just love cheese too much, gahh! my friends and i are almost all meat-free and dairy-milk free though, and i really advocate for that lifestyle.

2. i'm moving to l.a. next year! i've been absolutely cramming my class load since getting to college, and that means i'm graduating over a year in advance. as much as i love writing, my dream right now is to act, so i can't wait to escape and really throw myself into that.

3. if it's not already obvious, i am in love with the harry potter universe. i always have been, but weirdly didn't write about it for a while? anyways, i'm a proud slytherin, would die for any hufflepuff, and wish more than anything that i could teleport over there. i even have a universal pass so that i can stop by a few times a year and live out my hpu fantasies.

4. kind of a bummer one but it's very real and prevalent for me. i do struggle w depression and v bad depersonalization. writing and creating stuff is one escape i really value, but it sucks that i've just turned 20 and already feel it eating up so much of my life. i try to be very open about it though, since i think dicussion surrounding mental health is super critical and should be normalized.

5. hmm... uhh, oh yeah! i've recently been doing a watch through of all the mcu movies and have been having a blast w that. loki owns my heart and i feel incredibly bitter abt him & thor. i despise some of the fan favorites though, so i'll keep my mouth shut about them.

Yes im glad yo u asked.  I have 4, 2 dogs and 2 cats. Liuna is technically theonly who is mine but theyre all our pet.Shes a mix with a lot of ifferent dogs in her, but shes a black medium dog with little specks of gold and a white spotted bellie/chest. gigi is my moms dog and shes a terrier yorkie mix. shes really small, she was the runt of the litter, andshe loves to get up in your face to smell your breath to see where youve been. she has the cutest feather tail, we call it, and she loves to sit in your lap and be your biggest fan. Naners is our big fat sassy cat who will only tolerate our other cat when they get treats and practically lives outside. shes our rat catcher i guess and will growl and hiss andgnereally not be pleasent if shes in the same room as Bruiser. His full anem is Baby Bruiser and he is the only boy of our pets and is the Baby. hes only like maybe 1 but probably younger. He loves to play with his watermellon toy and always scratches on the scratching post in my room when he comes in. He also insistes on wet food and will steal meat from the kitchn. and will Yell At You For Any Reason. everyone generally gets along well except for naners hates bruisers guts for some reason. Also Fun Fact; bruiser and naners look a Lot a like. like if someone didntknow them enough then a stranger wouldnt beable to tell them apart. Anyways this question wins the academy award for longest awsner ever.

I wish I could pursue the education but my job doesnt allow it. I do however keep a garden. Its got such gorgeous flowers its got all my free time sunken into it. My favourite flowers are oleanders. the slightly pink white variety. did you know theyre quite poisonous? legend has it that Napoleon lost one hundred soldiers when they dined on meat roasted on the wood of the oleander. But ah... Im rambling. Im sorry. Idrk what people Id like to hang with. I dont get to meet many people for talkin...

What is the least favorite physical thing you like about yourself? My eyes...I think I have a pretty eye shape I just hate the color....I also hate my body type like I’m weird I’m not big but I’m not small either I’m in the middle and it makes it hard to find clothes....

What color pants and shoes are you wearing now? Black jeans that are rolled up into capri’s, and I was wearing black sandals earlier

relationship status: in one. shockhorror still feels weird to say 

lipstick or chapstick: see i like lipstick but i feel weird wearing it bc its like obvious when you wear it so i feel like it like draws attention but i bought a new one the other day called like starry eyed or sth. however chapsticks always win because they taste way nicer and you don’t have to check they’re not smudged and they’re good for your lips and stuff

last song i listened to: rock the casbah by the clash. i spent a while looking for my phone while it was playing out of it which was embarrassing

last movie i watched: last full one i saw was american history x. fell asleep trying to watch airplane and like pineapple express or something i can’t remember. it was INTENSE like jfc

top 3 shows: the tv i watched when i was like 13 was probably the most formative tv era for me - being human, skins and ashes to ashes were all on tv at the same time and are probably fairly summative of most of my interests maybe. the young ones is important and idrk if the this is england series count but they’re sooo good. also i could just watch the office forever, so that.

top 3 characters: so i spent a lot of last year really into noah from the raven cycle bc like: good name, blonde, ghost, tragic. obviously sirius, obviously regulus but also i feel like i never give harry much appreciation when i do actually really love him. vod from fresh meat is also a #1

top 3 ships: i mean, james/sirius. i got bored of every other ship sometime around like 17/18. i’m just gonna mention lily/girls, pam/karen has this one good fic i think i bookmarked and noah&whelk’s thing is like, bad and messed up but an interesting dynamic with top fic potential
