On the surface it's quite funny to notice the similarities between hollowed crown!prince Hal and mcu!loki (princes, trickstery, daddy issues, hiddleston,) and then pretend that Hal is actually loki, who intended to pop down to Midgard and impersonate the son of a king to start his takeover of the human race or whatever.

But the infinitely funnier idea is realizing that Loki would fucking hate Hal. He's literally got everything Loki wants: the promise of a crown and kingdom, a dad who actually cares about him (in one way or another), actual friends, a stand-in father figure in Falstaff, a cute boyfriend,

And he's just WASTING IT??? Sitting around and DRINKING?? While his dad the king wishes this OTHER GUY (hotspur) was his son even though hotspur isn't blood related and Hal is blood related and also HOTSPUR IS AN IDIOT??? And Hal isn't even limited by ability or means or anything he just wants to party and his excuse is that when he stops partying it'll make him LOOK BETTER IN COMPARISON?? loki would 100% be fuming and Hal would probably ridicule the shit out of him. Honestly Hal would probably enjoy hanging out with Thor, instead, the drinking and escapades seems more his scene

Trial Eight Test Report

Subject: L0294

Pre-treatment Notes: L0294 is a female Ymir's group wasp weighing approximately 95 kg and measured at 2.4 meters. Most of its head has been overtaken by growths from a species of fungus believed to have convergent evolved alongside Earth's Ophiocordyceps unilateralis. Both of its antennae had taken significant damage and its thorax and abdomen are severely bloated. Roughly half of the hair that would normally cover its body is missing, and its wings are torn in multiple places. L0294's behavior is described as lethargic, showing little interest in its surroundings.

Treatment Administered: Prototype A9

Results: Subject L0294's fungal growths turned black upon being administered its first dose of Prototype A9, and within hours, L0294 ceased its attempts to climb the walls of its enclosure. Over subsequent doses of Prototype A9, L0294's body became increasingly discolored, eventually turning a dark shade of gray. Additional tissue began to grow on top of L0294's fungal growths. L0294 has become more aggressive, but has not regained its instinctual burrowing behaviors.

Current Status: Alive

Recommendations: Upgrade the air filtration system in L0294's containment. Its fungal growths have begun to secrete a dark purple mist which contain its spores. Any personnel entering its containment chamber are advised to equip full biohazard gear. Additional tests with sedatives may be administered to make L0294 more compliant with further experimentation.

A lot of the choices regarding Asgard's world-building in the MCU really bother me because they're just so weird and go against historical behaviors of royal families.

A good example is that (unlike the comics and the Norse myths), Odin only has 2 viable heirs (one being biological and the other adopted) that aren't imprisoned forever (*cough( Hela) during Thor (2011).

This was done to focus more on Thor and Loki's relationship, but it's very unusual behavior for a king, who would have a long parade of heirs. This is not the case in the comics, where there's Aldrif, Tyr, Hermod, Honir, Vidar,Balder,Thor, Loki (adopted ward), and now Laussa.

Also, Odin is surprisingly happy to yeet his few heirs into unknown worlds or into prisons.

What I love in this scene is Loki's reaction.

I thought that Loki would be impressed by Mobius' rage, or that he would be amused. Or that he would immediately start torturing Brad as soon as Mobius got out of the cell.

But no: Loki was stunned by Mobius' reaction.

So, at first, he took steps to stop Mobius before he went too far and escorted him away safely.

Then he followed Mobius to make sure he was okay, asking him over and over without using aggressive tones, despite Mobius trying to downplay it.

Loki saw that Mobius was trying to hide how shaken he was, so he suggested to eat a slice of pie to reassure him down.

Without pressure, he calmed him down until Mobius was ready to open.

And then he reassured him gently.

This shows how much Loki has changed: instead of being overwhelmed by anger and the desire for revenge, he put the well-being of Mobius, a person dear to him, first, without hiding the concern and affection he feels for him. And Mobius, in return, demonstrated that he placed full trust in Loki, expressing his innermost emotions to him.

You know how frost giants are seen as savage monsters deserving of extermination on Asgard?

The TVA has very similar attitudes on frost giants, as well as every other nonhuman species.

There's a reason only humans are seen working at the TVA.

There's a reason almost all sentient beings in the MCU are humanoids.
