during family gatherings, he is absolutely smothered in attention by all the aunties and uncles. most of the time sits with the parents instead of the kids and talks about whatever the fuck they talk about at the parents table

every other kid there gives him the death glare because these mfs KNOW he is loving the attention and the massive ego boost it gives him.

actually pretty nice and funny but nobody wants to be around him because hes a lowkey faliure. most of the older kids like hanging around him, but often dont stay around him too long as their parents are worried of his influence.

also he probably took up modeling which made the aunties hate him even more

eyes flick to mammon as he seats himself at the dining table, and he responds to them with a nervous smile. "mammon," one of the adults starts lowly, in a belittling tone that made him sick to his stomach. "didn't bring anything to the gathering, not even 古老肉..." they look at him before adding another taunt. "oh.. that's right.. you never learned mandarin, did you? nothing to contribute lah. always take, take, take with you. just LIKE WHAT YOU DID TO MY HUSBAND'S MONEY!!"

congratulations dude, you just got the most underrated type of asian at a family gathering.

doesn't get as much attention as lucifer due to being relatively mediocre and not as talented as him, but will occasionally his parents will flex his coding skills or an award he got at school.

doesnt really talk due to not much people at the family gathering being his age group, so he mostly sits in a very solitary corner of the kids table on an uncomfortably small plastic chair and plays games to pass the time.

the moment the asian parents kick the kids off to the nintendo switch or wii u so they can freely argue about politics or whatever (im not sure im still stuck at the kids table 😭), this man completely shifts.

Another anon who read the tags on your last post here! I've felt the need to write something myself since your situation feels so similar to mine when I was younger and maybe my experiences will help you in some way. Feel free to not respond to this if it's uncomfortable, it's totally okay! :)

I also didn't have a supportive family when it came to my interests, still kind of don't. I'm 22 (soon to be 23) and my family members are still looking at me funny regarding my hobbies, just like they did when I was 14-15. It was weird for them to see a child… liking toys and shows made for kids I guess?? They've also said that I was mature for my age, but let me tell you this is INCREDIBLY coercive. ''Since we've called you mature, you wouldn't want to betray us and do something childish now, would you?'' - guys. Just because YOU'VE called me mature doesn't mean that it's true. Maybe I am mature but EMOTIONALLY or got good grades at school. But it doesn't necessarily mean that I will abandon anything that brings me comfort and joy for the sake of a byname that won't mean anything to me. Ever. I think that being mature also means accepting what is dear to you and not being ashamed of that. Being mature is being responsible for your own well being - which you do by enjoying your hobbies! By surrounding yourself with things that will make you get through life a bit easier. Throwing everything out, or denying ever liking said thing is the childish thing to me here.

It's good to read that you want to embrace who you are! After all - we only have one life to live. Why waste it on pleasing everyone around instead of ourselves? ESPECIALLY if it's a hobby that does NO HARM to anyone (well maybe except your wallet). Don't ever let go of what you love, unless YOU decide it's time to move on. I still keep my LPS collection after all those years, after being told countless of times to ''sell them, because you will save some good money'' or just to give them away. What if (stay with me here) I WILL decide what to do with MY property?

And regarding those people who've belittled you for your interests - I am still recovering from the same thing that happened almost a decade ago at school. But I've learned that not everyone behaves like those mean bullies - maybe some people are genuinely interested in what I have to say? Maybe we can bond over this? Maybe I can get a new friend who will accept my ''weird'' hobbies? And thanks to that mindset I've tried opening to more and more people, only to find out that those bullies were the MINORITY and usually people are glad to hear they're not alone in their hobbies or pleasant memories. It made me feel so much less anxious about myself, I can't recommend trying to open up enough!! Sorry if this ask got long, I had plenty of thoughts in my brain it seems, haha. Helloooo!!! I was looking for inspo for my own visual novel a little while back, it's set in a ballroom so eventually the keywords lead me to discovering save the last dance (and itch.io in general im a total noob to this lmao) i dont know what it was but it just like took a vice grip around me INSTANTLYY.

So I downloaded the main game today and I am actually silently cursing you because I got nothing done all day I was just like transfixed. The artstyle grew on me alot, and oh godd the character designs... God I love the designs, espcially Genzhou's. There's just so much love (even in every gruesome death scene lol) put into this it's almost difficult not to get obssesed...

Also sidenote I found it kind of encouraging almost to see that you're (self-proclaimed) older, I found that really inspirational lol. There's something that just makes me want to create and actually sit down and learn when I play your games. I guess I've always had this feeling of having all the time in the world but recently I've been feeling almost like it's too late to learn new skills (which is kind if ridicolius since I'm like smack dab in the middle of gen z). Regardless I guess your work made me realize the artistry in visual novels, I could keep going but I tend to ramble lol

that's fascinating that you found StLD first searching for ballroom stuff!! i am always curious how people first find out about any of my games. i'm happy you enjoyed it, especially enough to go play the main game sob. i'm incredibly touched

and i'm even more touched that you've been enjoying the main game so much 😭💕💕💕 especially all the kind words about the art!! i've grown more confident in my art more recently but especially in the beginning stages of the game i was incredibly self-conscious and worried about it because it was rather odd-looking and didn't match any other typical VN styles. so that's really sweet of you to say. this game certainly has had a lot of love put into it (and blood, sweat, tears, my entire life... etc.). it is very much a big passion project and my eyes were perhaps too big when i got started, but because it dug itself so deep into my psyche and i also made some good decisions like releasing in parts, etc., i've been able to keep working on it until the end despite it taking me like 2.5+ years so far. i'm not even sure i can put into words what this game and chars have done for me and my life and the many journeys and discoveries i've made along the way

dkjfalsdkf yes... i am a millenial, i will say that much. though i don't often feel like one. except for the fact that i often have no idea what people are talking about or referencing and tend to be awkward and confused most of the time LOL this is also why my characters are all older, as well. i sometimes feel a bit strange since i feel much older than many of the others in the VN dev sphere (well, perhaps in age only, not really in mental maturity maybe LKDJAFLKDS). if this can give inspiration to others that are also a bit older though, then i am glad 🤣 i have spent much of my life going from thing to thing and never really knowing exactly what i want to do. case in point my current job has nothing to do with my master's degree. though the one constant has always been creation of some kind, whether it's drawing or writing (and now with games, doing both of those on top of scripting and coding and a bajillion other things lol). i don't think you should ever feel "too old" to do something. or to get started doing something. or to feel like you "haven't done enough" etc. i say this so strongly because i also try to reassure myself sometimes perhaps LOL it's also ok if you don't know what you want to do so you're just trying out different ideas that you're passionate about. so many of us just wanna find something that makes us feel fulfilled and passionate, that makes our hearts ache, that fills us with joy and motivation. so if you can find something that does that for you, no matter how old you are, grab it and don't ever let go lkdajfalskd

at any rate, i'm glad i could also help you discover more about VNs in general. i hope it will be helpful as you work on your own games!!! 💕

I honestly never understood this lie that Louis isn’t attractive. Quite literally, I thought Louis was the only already pretty/beautiful member from 1D at first. The other boys were “cute”, I guess but not in any significant way - except Zayn, who was also always actually good looking too and became very hot as his features matured a bit. I am around the same age as the 1D members and only Louis attracted me. Even when the boys all grew up, I still only really found Louis snd Zayn attractive. I never got people acting like Louis is/was unattractive? He has very pretty features and the perfect body shape (maybe if you’re into heavily muscled figures you wouldn’t think so but come on and I guess Louis doesn’t fit the stereotype of what toxic masculinity demands of male body types but it’s better that way). There were times when it looked like Louis was self-conscious about his body type, like his cute little tummy, and he got quite thin at certain points (which always worried me) but he always had the pretty face. Looks are subjective, I get it, but even people I don’t find personally attractive, I can acknowledge if they fit into that attractive classification. Some people I knew at the time thought Louis’ features were a bit too androgynous/feminine to be their type - and still do when he’s clean-shaven - but still thought he was an attractive person. Like with everything else about Louis, it’s like people just jumped on a bandwagon of unnecessary hate and decided they were right despite all evidence to the contrary. Like sometimes the second fandoms will use the most gorgeous photos of Louis to try to drag him or clips where his singing is spot-on. They only see and hear what they want to see and hear. A m**** H*aly fan tweeted how Louis will pay for his crimes to 7 and I just don’t get it. Louis nailed 7, always does. It suits his voice and style so well and he kills that song. I’m even a fan of CATB and I prefer Louis’ version (🫣) and his high note and his pronunciation are everything

It’s amazing to see Louis happy and confident and owning his amazing body and showing it off a bit more 🥰

as for everything else in this fandom it was just a trope perpetuated by press/media and then people followed it due to their sheep mentality and then it became a self sustaining cycle which can never be broken probably :/

for MY taste in early 1d he and zayn were the best looking ones then in like 2014 after the fratboy phase him zayn and harry were the best looking ones cuz niall was still pre pubertal basically 😭 and liam was having different issues then after 1d I think niall actually went through puberty lol and I think he's good looking now too

the whole conversation is stupid imo bc ugly people do not get picked to be popstars on TV lmaooo if any of them had been ugly they wouldn't have become millionaires that's just what the world is

there are bad pictures of any of them bc thats just what being human is like 🤷🏻‍♀️

also hate that people equate ugliness with moral flaws or think that calling someone ugly is the worst thing u can do like there's nothing inherently wrong with being ugly this isn't a Disney movie... grow up

ps: I like louis' 7 better too! I love his arrangement :) and again that's just ppl picking on louis bc its easy and "allowed" but they don't really have a real opinion of their own lol they'd love that cover if they had been told to . simple as that

hi! and I am back once again😊 so many things happened this week, first thing’s first I finally saw 127 live!! it was sooo surreal. All I can say is they are sooo soooo great live, I don’t think there’s enough words to describe it🥺😭

But anyways, I hope you like this scenario. Apologies I can’t work on longer stories for now but I hope you like this💛

It was like a joke made by the universe, you never ending up with guys your age. It’s either their older or a bit younger than you. Of course none of those ever end well. Dating someone older just never works because you’re in two different timelines of your lives, there’s just things in life you can’t quite agree on. On the other hand, dating someone younger half of the time feels like you can never fully express yourself. You always have to be the one to understand, to adjust, to be the mature one.

The dilemma is entirely on you though. Whenever guys your age approach you, you just run the other way. You’re way too picky, so your friends say. They say you’ll never find the one for you if you keep on passing up on every opportunity.

“You think the arcade is a good place to find a guy?” you ask your friend, already not feeling good about tonight. If anything you’d rather be at home right now.

“It’s arcade night, the school council organized this so a lot of other students is here. Maybe you finally find someone cute enough to take home”

“Sounds like a start of a horror movie” you mumbled, following behind her as she squeezes her way through the crowd. She walks over the counter to get a bag to tokens for the both of you before going off on her own leaving you all by yourself.

“Just great” you mumble to yourself. Not knowing what to do, you just walk over the game machines to pass the time. You’re already here anyways might as well make it something of it.

You’re on your fourth claw machine of night, you already got a few prizes but you already gave them away to the other students who were more than happy to have them. Just when you’re about to secure the cute puppy plushie, you feel someone stand close by. Not paying that much attention, they’re probably waiting for their turn.

Clicking on the grab button twice, you secured the prize once again.

“Oh dang, I wanted to get that one” the person behind you say, turning around to offer it to him but you were a bit taken aback by him.

You’re not going to lie, he’s very handsome. Probably the most good looking person in the room. You remember your friend saying a lot of students came out tonight so you’re wondering how come you never met him.

“I think I might have set that one up for the win” he chuckles, looking at the prize in your hand “Oh sorry I didn’t know someone was playing” you answer, now feeling guilty about potentially stealing this win from him.

“Yea I just grabbed more tokens, you won fair and square though” he says with a smile. In contrast with his other strong features, his eye smile definitely stands out the most. When he smiled, his eyes disappeared almost completely.

“Here, you can have it if you want” Surprised by your offer, he didn’t immediately take the prize from you so you grabbed his arm to put it in his hand.

“Are you sure?”

“Yea totally, not really aiming for the prize. I’m just here to pass time plus my friend kinda ditched me so I have nothing else to do”

Again, he smile at you. Not really knowing what to say next you just shot him a smile before moving on to find your next prize.

“Hey, uhm you said your friend ditched you?” you hear him ask

“Yea, she kinda went off earlier I haven’t seen her since”

“If you want, I can keep you company for a while. I swear I’m not a bad guy or anything. You can check my ID to confirm that I do go to the same campus” he points at the school logo on your jacket

“I wasn’t thinking that but thanks” you chuckle,

“Oh wait, I’m Jeno by the way”

“Y/N”

“I saw the air hockey table earlier, want to go there?” you ask him

And that’s how you unexpectedly spent the rest of the night. After playing a few games and winning most of them but you doubt he’s just letting you have the win. You don’t call him out about though. To be honest, you were having a grand time with Jeno even though you just met him.

“I’m a communications major”

“Engineering”

“You’re an engineering student and you have time to be here?” he laughs at your question, “Yea, shocking right. We don’t get to have that much free time, I just so happen to finish my plates early and my roommate sexiled me for the night”

You laugh at his explanation, not expecting him to be this honest with you. ”Well you can’t be here all night, where will you go after the event?”

“Not sure, maybe stay at a convenient store or something. Rather do that than accidently walk in dorm in the middle of them doing the deed. You?”

“No roommates kicked me out, more like dragged me out here”

It’s been a good couple of hours, you probably have played all games you could.

“Hey, want to take a picture? I still have two tokens left” Jeno points at the vacant photobooth.

“Sure”

You scoot inside taking a seat first with Jeno following behind you. It was a tight space inside so you’re shoulder to shoulder with him.

“Which one do you want to do?” he asks you, pointing at the screen

“Let’s do the four cut one”

“Okay, ready?”

The screen flashes the count down

For the first picture both of you were smiling, after the flash the two of you burst out laughing. You didn’t hear the countdown go off so you were still laughing meanwhile Jeno was just looking at you with a small smile on his face. All he could think to himself was how cute your laugh was and how pretty you looked smiling.

That’s how the second picture came out.

The next one you hear the countdown so you calm down, looking over at Jeno only to find him already looking at you.

“What? Is there something on my face?”

Jeno just shakes his head, still smiling at you.

Click. That’s the third photo.

“Do you want to maybe go out after this? Get coffee or dinner?” he asks

If this was any other occasion, if this was any other guy you’d say no by now but something about him just made you want to say yes.

“Sure, how about dinner then coffee?” you answer with a smile. Click.

When the two of you step out of the booth and wait for the photos to develop, you exchange phone numbers to keep in touch. When the two photo strips finally drop, you take one look at it and you can already feel the blush on your cheeks.

“Cute” you hear Jeno mumble from beside you.

“You’re keeping this right?” you ask him “Of course, what else would I do with it?”

“I dunno, throw it after this”

“No way, want me to put this on our fridge door?” you laugh at his suggestion, not sure if he’s joking or not. “I’m serious”

‘Yah Lee Jeno, don’t do that” you say in between giggles, again Jeno could only think how he liked how his name sounded when you’re the one who say it.

It really was luck he decided to come out here tonight, or else he would’ve never bumped into you. Saying a mental thank you to his roommate for kicking him out tonight, he might just buy him dinner too if this night ends on a better note.

“I’ll see you again after tonight right?” he asks

“You’re taking me out for dinner right? so yea. Unless you’re too busy”

“No, no I’m not that busy”

You smile at him again, feeling like he answered too quickly.

“It’s okay if you are, it doesn’t even have to be a fancy dinner out. To be honest I prefer a simple dinner at home” you reassure him

“I’m not a good cook though” an unintentional pout forms on his lips, it took everything in you not to swoon then and there

“Good thing I am, so all is good” his face lights up once again upon hearing your words.

You’re not sure yet where this will go. It’s still too soon to tell but one thing’s for sure, Lee Jeno isn’t just some guy. He’s not lilke the rest you’ve met before, and even though you only met him you can already say it with confidence because no guy has made you feel this comfortable and safe. It’s like you know you’re safe with him.

“How about for tonight I walk you home?”

Maybe, just maybe this time the universe decided to make amends and make up for all the failed attempts with all the guys you’ve met in the past.

i felt every single emotion reading it. i am numb.

(forgive my rambling... please)

megumi... poor boy. when ur around his age, you would imagine that you'd trust people easier, or have a "child-like faith" but he's the complete opposite and it BREAKS MY HEART LORDDDD

tsumiki as well... 😭 carrying so much on her back and she probably hasn't even learnt quadratic formula yet 😭 my heart aches everytime i think about her tbh. it takes an insane amount of maturity (for someone as young as her) to keep smiling and get things done for her and megs. or maybe she has double the amount of child-like faith that megumi just seemed to lose along the way. (just yet another way of how she's raising them both.... crying)

toji may be a piece of shit.... but he's my piece of shit im so sorry. glad that rip!mc gave him that wake up call though !! (if only she were canon.... gege im in ur walls).

satoru being angry and annoyed for this entire fic did make me giggle. personally, i don't think many things can get him that riled up,,, so let's just say im jumping up and down at the fact that someone so "boring" can make his blood pressure increase like no one's business. (i love how protective he is even though if u look closely, he can be borderline psychotic. he cares SO much about her anddddd i have tears in my eyes again. wow. just him immediately taking rip!mc to his room to play cards. him making immediate moves to help her and megs. that is SO important to me.)

shoko. im in love. nothing has changed. i understand rip!mc. plus,,, her being the biggest instigator LMFAOOOO 😭😭😭 not giving satoru, suguru, OR toji a moment of peace. such wife material actually. it's also so heartwarming that she doesn't pry into rip!mc's stuff, how she continues to lie to the boys just for her. the blind trust.... they're meant to be... (THE END WAS EVERYTHING TO ME. PERSONALLY.)

rip!mc.... you really dug at my heart this time 😭😭😭😭 i don't wanna overshare, but all i will say is, she is JUST like me. im fr just looking at myself at this point and all this kinda hits home 😭 (the daddy issues theme was amazing morgan love it) she is too kindhearted for her own good (sounds like SOMEONE... 😔) but i love her w everything in my heart. she deserves every single good thing and more that comes her way tbh. just her projecting her issues onto megs and toji was so heartbreaking. love her.

my favorite thing abt writing rip!mc is hands down her dynamic with megumi and i know i haven't written abt those two as much as i probably should've but i love them...i made it so that rip!mc would parallel megumi bc i wanted to explore a character that really had no other choice but to become a jujutsu sorcerer like in an another life rip!mc could've been megumi and megumi could've been rip!mc the possibilities!! tsumiki too. im rlly excited for her role in the upcoming chapters/arcs bc i rlly want to see more of her. just imagining tsumiki who is barely older than megumi taking on the role of responsibility when they were children breaks my heart. also a lot of ppl talk about megumi and toji but what about tsumiki and HER mother??? like yes toji abandoned megumi but so did tsumiki's mother like ouch that must've hurt or maybe she was just so used to it which is why taking care of megumi came so easy. maybe she was used to fending for herself 🥲

toji.... i originally envisioned rip!mc finding him in a pachinko parlor LMAO stsg were ALSO supposed to visit the hostess club unfortunately i cut the scene out bc it didn't make sense. but yes the man definitely needed a wake up call personally i think rip!mc should've been even harsher but the girl was straight up dissociating that entire conversation fjdksfdjnks

hs gojo is such a tsundere!!! like it's part bc he sucks at communicating and it's another part the fact that rip!mc is just extraordinarily dense in aspects. he also just assumes that it's a given that people understand him (like geto does) LMAO. i feel like that's the difference between hs gojo n adult gojo in regards to his relationship with rip!mc. adult gojo is just a lot more confident in how to handle her and knows exactly what buttons to push while hs gojo is a lot more rash and easier crueler with his words. he is the WORST.

when else is geto not going to be happy other than in my fics 😔 i love him so much!!! i wrote all the geto scenes for this fic first and then tried to figure out where to fit gojo let me TELL YOU. all the geto parts were done and written!!! it took me like 3 months to finish gojo's though 😭😭😭

ok let's talk shoko aka the TRUE ENDING. yes shoko is the biggest instigator ever. it would be hilarious to see gojo and geto riled up while also asserting her Dominance as rip!mc's number 1 <33333 in the end she's the only one that actually and truly just wants the best things for her bf even if that may or may not include stsg. these bitches r so gay.....gojo n geto r just willfully blind about it DNFJKSDNJF

hi, im the anon from like a couple days ago. srry that im just clogging up ur inbox widhd but i dont rlly have anywhere else 2 talk abt it. ive just been privately indulging in my like.. Weird Thoughts which is nice but god it would be so neat to just be able to talk abt them w someone else ?? and like. im sure theres someone online i can ramble abt it to but i dont know where to look and considering these r like. pretty Freakish thoughts and concepts i also run into the chance of maybe coming across like actually malicious ppl so thats discouraging me from looking too. i dont know. its just a struggle sometimes. u can absolutely feel free to ignore bc im just rattling along but yea 😭

do you think its okay if i write dark/mature stories abt teenagers set in high school? like in the style of ginger snaps. im a teenager myself and ive been rotating this plotline in my head that involves themes like murder/sex/drug use/etc. and all my main characters are my age. im just worried that once i become an adult and actually write it maybe people might think im being weird towards teenagers ?? i dont know. just been thinking abt this a lot

and about writing, let me just preface this by saying that i'm not a writer and i'm not very wise and i'm not an authority on this, i know everyone knew but i wanted to emphasize lol. so yeah i appreciate that you asked me and i think whatever you think is appropriate for you to write is appropriate! what you feel is right is right, believe in your ability to tell what's correct morally and what's not and to tell what fits your story best and have the courage to write what you really want to write :)

there's stuff like abuse and power dynamics that i'd love if people treated with care, like when deciding how to portay it, but even with those it's like, i don't believe viewing a fucked up dynamic through rose-colored glasses is harmful in itself... or that it can't be very touching art if it's not spelled out clearly that this is an unhealthy unbalanced relationship, and for survivors especially or people who are intimately familiar with fucked up, i think.. what am i saying. i KNOW the ""romanticization"" angle can affect survivors deeply, in a catharsis way and not a re-traumatized way i mean hxsgcy so that has real merit in fiction in my opinion

you know how they say great art disturbs the comfortable and comforts the disturbed or smth like that? i know it's hard and sticking by your own moral code (that might go against social norms) has to be learned and practiced, and the backlash that comes with challenging taboos is never exactly a walk on the beach but i encourage you to go for it and try to forget about what certain people will think! there will be stupid malicious interpretations always but you're not writing for those people, you're writing for the people that Do get it!! who will get it, when they read it, for those that see you and understand
