I have several headcanons for Cecil, like I know I am OC-ifying him and That's Fine. I hc he has comorbid ocd and autism. In general, he doesn't show emotions on his face and rarely smiles even when he's having a great time. Kind of like the opposite of Iggy (who I think is very outwardly expressive/fidgety and even smiles when he is uncomfortable). He cares a lot about the things and people he likes, and this can come off to ppl that don't know him very well like he's weirdly obsessive or he's a selfish prick. Also, for better or worse, he genuinely really likes taking care of other people. Being the one someone comes crying to makes him feel closer to them. Being in a stressful situation with someone else makes him feel comforted in that odd way.

In general I like rounding him out n making him not a perfect person, u kno? Giving him similarly complicated problems to the main chars of the cast. A guy who wants to be your live-in butler and gets scared when you aren't in the same room as him is not perfectly well-adjusted.

🤔 PC parts go on sale pretty often, plus there are a ton of budget guides online. Parts can also go for cheaper too depending on if you're fine with shopping for used parts. There's also websites that tell you what parts are compatible with the ones currently in your cart/that you're looking at. I won't go into in-depth recs since you've said you're not too invested in FPS and resolution (which is fair, I'm just a nerd who studies up too much on this stuff asjdasd) but as a general tip, consider what quality/performance you would like to play your games at and go for that over 'highest number' since that's a pretty easy trap to fall into. Budget, and what you want out of it, always takes precedent over the bigger number. There are countless videos going over how to build a PC, though pre-built computers are always an option (downside is that they're not very cost-effective, since it's the price of the PC plus hours spent assembling it and any other miscellaneous costs). Big general tip for budget PC shopping is to prioritize the GPU, it's the real powerhouse when it comes to quality/performance. You can get a pretty good PC for as low as around $900, and while that's still quite a bit of money it's nothing compared to how price-y higher end builds can get. I hope this was helpful in some way! oh this is all super helpful!!!! i know a little bit about building computers and buying parts because my partner built his (and i also built one with my dad way back when...)

my main problem though is that i don't have space for a desktop computer. it's just a small apartment and i've already got my work setup from my desk (i work remotely on a work computer) so i do all my gaming on my laptop that i have hooked up to my TV (which also gets me out of my chair, which is nice, because i already spend too much time at my desk LOL)

so if i do get a better PC, i would get a nicer/updated gaming laptop, which is unfortunately a bit more expensive... 🥴 i'd also feel so bad getting a whole new computer just so i can have better graphics on DD2 LDKJFALSKDFADS especially with my rapidly deteriorating work situation... 💦

WHAT A QUESTION??? UHHHHHH. The first three, definitely Iggy. Genzou would think it's kinda cool tbh. Cecil wouldn't care and would just be normally disagreeable. Of the second group, I could see both Hunar and Gidget being rather upset mostly because they'd be afraid of getting in trouble or someone getting lost or hurt. Bucks would not be upset but would be split between being scared of every shadow and thinking it's the coolest thing ever.

I love how a dragon attack could both feasibly happen in DD2 and OFW... Genzou taking Iggy up in his arms as they run away from a dragon that swooped in and is using Flamethrower (a Super Effective move--)... Iggy treating to any wounds Genzou got from the attack... 😭

yes you can make elves!! the char wouldn't "officially" be an elf. you can only choose between humans and a cat-like race called beastren when you make a char. but you can make elf ears in the character creator so it works the same. if you're on PC, you can download the "Dragon's Dogma 2 Character Creator and Storage" app on Steam for free and use it to play around with creating a character if you just wanna see if you can create a character you like before actually buying the game! it's really convenient (and what convinced me to buy it because after i made iggy and genzou and they turned out so cute i knew i couldn't not buy it LKJDLAKDSF)

if you think about it, he only even ever kinda does throughout the game already. he doesn't really in arc 2 (only just saying he's been wanting to kiss iggy for a long time after iggy already kisses him). he kinda does in arc 3, just admitting he does like iggy but it's under extreme duress. he isn't able to in arc 4. and then in arc 5 he does once when he thinks that iggy's asleep. and then he does "officially" only after iggy already confesses to him

so

i do not think if iggy chose anyone else for the choice he would ever confess. if he sees that iggy has chosen someone else he would just go with it and shove his thoughts down again

as for rejection, i see it a bit two-fold. on the surface, he would try desperately to not let it show how much it's affecting him. but on the inside, it would definitely break him for a while. i think he's kinda used to rejection in general, so it was more of just a casual rejection from someone he only just had an interest in or something, it wouldn't be too hard on him

as for exes, i would not call anyone he's been with "exes" as i don't believe he's ever been with someone long enough for it to be called a relationship. he's seen a few people on and off, but never anything more than some casual meetups and never for very long. so i don't know if they could be considered "exes"
