So do not worry, saying, “What shall we eat?” or “What shall we drink?” or “What shall we wear?” For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

"THE IMPORTANCE OF UNDERSTANDING AND KNOWLEDGE"
THE HOLY SPIRIT’S WORK IN JEREMIAH: God’s call and anointing upon Jeremiah’s life as a prophet began in the womb. God reveals to Jeremiah, “Before I formed you in the womb I knew [and] approved of you [as My chosen instrument], and before you were born I separated and set you apart, consecrating you; [and] I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.” (Jeremiah 1:5 AMPC). This reveals that the…

Scriptures for when you're going through a rough time
~Psalm 23:4 "Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me."
~John 14:27 "Peace I leave with you; My peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid."
~Deuteronomy 31:6 "Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you; He will not leave you or forsake you."
~John 16:33 "I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world."
~Romans 8:38-39 "For I am convinced that neither life not death, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to seperate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord."
~Matthew 11:28 "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest."
God loves you no matter what circumstances you're going through. He loves you so much and wants to be your source of help during your times of trouble. ❤️

Living His Word

Therefore do not be anxious, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?' For the Gentiles seek after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them all. But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. — Matthew 6:31-33
There is nothing wrong with seeking food, or drink, or clothing. Jesus himself says the heavenly father knows we need them. The trouble comes when we focus our lives around the seeking of food, drink, clothing, and any other creaturely thing. The trouble comes when we get so anxious about having these things that we make them our first priority.
When we make the acquisition of things our first priority we run into the Solomon problem. The Old Testament book of Ecclesiastes tells us that King Solomon searched high and low for meaning in life by acquiring as much of everything as he could. What did he find? He found that "all was vanity and a striving after wind, and there was nothing to be gained under the sun" (Ecclesiastes 2:11). When the acquisition of creaturely things is set up as the be-all and end-all of life it quickly loses its luster. The mere acquisition of things fails to satisfy the human quest for ultimate meaning and purpose.
Over and above the acquisition of things, but not apart from them, is the true meaning and purpose of life---seeking the Kingdom of God. What does it mean to seek the kingdom? It means to enter the kingdom and its righteousness by faith in Jesus Christ and it means to advance and develop the kingdom by serving the King in every area of life---including the acquisition of creaturely things. After all, you would not be much help to the King if you were naked and starving.
It is, therefore, a question of priorities. Do you seek these things for their own sake, or do you seek them in service to the King? If it's the first, then these things will never truly satisfy your quest for meaning. If it's the second, then they will not have to satisfy your quest, because you will have already found the true source of meaning and purpose.
And there's a bonus for seeking the Kingdom first. You get what you need as part of the package.

“One Simple Way to Settle Your Soul” By Ginger Harrington:
“For this reason I say to you, do not be worried about your life. . . ” Matthew 6:25a
Do not be worried about your life. I fill in the details with the cares that press hard on my sense of wellbeing. “Do not worry then, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ or ‘What will we ____?’ or ‘What will we _____?’ (Matthew 6: 31, blanks added)
Seek first. And then comes the verse I’ve read hundreds of times, the one that stops my worries in their tracks: “But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.” Matthew 6:31-33. Seek God first--this is one simple way to settle your soul. This is both an action and orientation of the heart that carries the promise of God. Seeking God first covers both time and priority.
We’ve all had mornings (days and nights too) when worries weigh heavy, robbing us of peace. What are the stressors in your life today? We all need to remember and believe that God knows what we need and cares about the small details as well as the big issues in our lives. Father knows. These two words open the door to peace in this moment: “For your Father knows what you need before you ask Him” (Matthew 6:8).
We’ve had our days of scurrying after the troubles that ignite fear, anxiety, or depression. Today God reminds us to seek first his kingdom and his righteousness. Not because the other things aren’t important, but because he wants us to know the peace that comes when we have confidence that he’s got our “all these things” covered. What ever they may be. God reminds me to focus on his goodness before worrying about my problems. Seek first.
How much more? “Or what man is there among you who, when his son asks for a loaf, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, he will not give him a snake, will he? If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give what is good to those who ask Him!” Matthew 7:9-11 More than the basics.
More than the best we can give. More than the stones and snakes of our problems and needs. More than enough. So much more.
So let’s reach beyond the surface and the simple. Let’s stop worrying about just surviving. Let go of the scarcity mindset of scrounging up just enough to scrape by. How much more does God desire to give you right here in the midst of all the challenges? How will this day, this problem, or this fear be different when we put our attention on something more than worrying about the things the rest of the world chases after?
His kingdom and his righteousness--these are the first things. Holy moments are for allowing God to straighten our backward thinking:
• If we get it all done and have time left over, then we’ll seek God.
• When all else fails and there’s nothing left to do, then we’ll pray.
• When we’ve worn ourselves thin with worry, then we’ll pursue his way of living.
"But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you." Matthew 6:31-33. All these things will be added to you. God is the adder of all these things. Our job is to seek first, trust first, and receive first the goodness of God working in every little thing. One simple way to settle our soul, seeking God first is our holy choice that opens every moment to the goodness of God.”

Are You Trusting Enough to Give?
By Adrian Rogers “Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.”  Matthew 6:31-33 After our wedding, Joyce and I had about fifty…

So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’...But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added unto you. Matthew 6: 31&33
How often we push our Bible reading and prayer to the end of the day. We hurriedly read a verse or two, say a prayer and plop into bed. We hardly have the energy or even the concentration to understand His word. It's no wonder that we feel stressed and drained even before it's midday.
The Bible urges us to seek the things of God first, His kingdom and His righteousness. The verse doesn't mean, Jesus will immediately make us rich or influential. It means, when you seek His kingdom first, He will be faithful to provide strength, wisdom for the day and all that you require, just at the right time, and you will surely glorify His name.

Most Beloved AEW Tournament Round 1 Statistics Dump
Thank you all for participating in the wonderful first two weeks of my silly lil poll
Followers: 130
Total Votes: 13,148
Times I accidentally forgot to include a wrestler: 1 (sorry ZSJ)
Beloved By Gender
So the original count of men, women and nonbinary wrestlers was 205/64/2, demonstrated in a pie chart as:
Tumblr media
(The fact that this is the chart is a separate problem that won't be addressed here)
But after voting, the ratio looks like this:
Tumblr media
Which means, from an overall standpoint, women and nonbinary wrestlers are more beloved than men
Voting trends
As the tournament got more popular, more votes started coming in, which is how some winners got so few votes. Over the last two weeks, the vote counts look like:
Tumblr media
(Day 6 was the Great Riho VS Kip Sabian Battle of 2023 and also featured Ricky Starks and Nick Jackson in the voting with just shy of 600 votes just between the four of them. "CONFRONTING THE ENEMY'S TACTICS!"
Psalm 144:1, “Blessed be the Lord, my Rock and my keen and firm Strength, Who teaches my hands to war and my fingers to fight” (AMPC) The main tactic of the enemy is deception. “Deception” is defined as, “the act of causing someone to accept as true or valid what is false or invalid; to trick; to cheat; to defraud; to be dishonest.” And that’s exactly who the enemy is, a deceiver, liar and the…

Rebjukebox 2024 - No 1
Here's my first playlist for 2024, it's not gonna be a monthly thing, just once i have 40 tracks i like, then i will share it. So could be one or two or even three in one month and other months maybe none, this is why it's numbered. I am already close to No 2 being finished, cover done, just need to cut down to 40 tracks from the 80+ tracks in the provisional draft playlist. So could share this next week!! These playlists are great way to find new bands and artists and saves us having to post each on sepearatly.
I used to do these just through Soundcloud, but thought i might as well add it to my Spotify also. So i will add two links to the playlist and can use which ever one you prefer.
If your a solo singer or a member of a band, then follow me on my Soundcloud page here, if i like your stuff, i will follow you back, if i don't follow back then sorry but your not my thing. Whatever style of music is fine, i like many stlyes and will take a listen. You should always trust your own ears with music.
You can only follow 2,000 people on Soundcloud, so am limited. But if am following you there, i can see when you share new music, which means you could be added to one of these playlists or the main JIR playlist (one per month). What style of music is fine, i like many and will take a listen.
Enjoy and share, stay free, see you soon with No 2!!

Trust in the Lord with All Your Heart
1 My son, do not forget my law, But let your heart keep my commands; 2 For length of days and long life And peace they will add to you. 3 Let not mercy and truth forsake you; Bind them around your neck, Write them on the tablet of your heart, 4 And so find favor and high esteem In the sight of God and man. 5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; 6 In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths. 7 Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear the Lord and depart from evil. 8 It will be health to your flesh, And strength to your bones. 9 Honor the Lord with your possessions, And with the firstfruits of all your increase; 10 So your barns will be filled with plenty, And your vats will overflow with new wine. 11 My son, do not despise the chastening of the Lord, Nor detest His correction; 12 For whom the Lord loves He corrects, Just as a father the son in whom he delights.
Blessed Is the One Who Finds Wisdom
13 Happy is the man who finds wisdom, And the man who gains understanding; 14 For her proceeds are better than the profits of silver, And her gain than fine gold. 15 She is more precious than rubies, And all the things you may desire cannot compare with her. 16 Length of days is in her right hand, In her left hand riches and honor. 17 Her ways are ways of pleasantness, And all her paths are peace. 18 She is a tree of life to those who take hold of her, And happy are all who retain her. 19 The Lord by wisdom founded the earth; By understanding He established the heavens; 20 By His knowledge the depths were broken up, And clouds drop down the dew. 21 My son, let them not depart from your eyes-- Keep sound wisdom and discretion; 22 So they will be life to your soul And grace to your neck. 23 Then you will walk safely in your way, And your foot will not stumble. 24 When you lie down, you will not be afraid; Yes, you will lie down and your sleep will be sweet. 25 Do not be afraid of sudden terror, Nor of trouble from the wicked when it comes; 26 For the Lord will be your confidence, And will keep your foot from being caught. 27 Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, When it is in the power of your hand to do so. 28 Do not say to your neighbor, "Go, and come back, And tomorrow I will give it," When you have it with you. 29 Do not devise evil against your neighbor, For he dwells by you for safety's sake. 30 Do not strive with a man without cause, If he has done you no harm. 31 Do not envy the oppressor, And choose none of his ways; 32 For the perverse person is an abomination to the Lord, But His secret counsel is with the upright. 33 The curse of the Lord is on the house of the wicked, But He blesses the home of the just. 34 Surely He scorns the scornful, But gives grace to the humble. 35 The wise shall inherit glory, But shame shall be the legacy of fools. — Proverbs 3 | New King James Version (NKJV) The Holy Bible; New King James Version®.
