Lil' (un)friendly guy! Kor'ivy are known for being highly aggressive and devoutly carnivorous - despite technically being an energy creature. Handlers will purposely starve them for a few days before a battle to ensure they are extra aggressive during a fight. A cluster of kor'ivy with full bellies is a far less daunting challenge for defenders to repeal in a melee, that is, if the Kor'ivy don't decide just to obliterate the position from afar.

Despite their unruly reputation Kor'ivy are known to be devoutly loyal to their employers and their clutch mates. In fact if a Kor'ivy is raised from infancy then even non-realm-versed species such as humans can incorporate them into their societies. "Domesticated" Kor'ivy are known to be just as loved and valued as Glassoids are in their respected colonies.

Hiya Marune! Of course you can, I hope I portrayed Ida well, I had so much fun imagining her and Discordia just sitting and talking (And Dia trying to convince her not to drink so much coffee 😆) and I hope you enjoy~!

Discordia smiled softly as she sat at a table in the garden of House Faust, it was just a normal summer afternoon. The birds were chirping, the sun was shining brightly, and a gentle breeze swept through the Faust garden.

“ Hey Dia, what are you doing?” Ida Faust, Nacht and Morgen’s sister and Discordia’s cousin, asked curiously as she looked over the older woman’s shoulder.

“ I am drinking some tea while…contemplating life,” Discordia said mysteriously as she took a sip of her tea. She watched the young girl walk around and sit down in the chair opposite her, and she raised a brow. “ What are you drinking?”

“ Coffee,” Ida responded simply before taking a sip of her drink, and Dia’s brow raised a little more at her words. Coffee was Ida’s drink of choice most days, while Discordia’s was tea. The two had laughed about being opposites when it came to their drinks, while their personalities were actually pretty similar.

“ How many cups have you had?” Discordia asked with a slightly raised brow, and Ida shrugged.

“ I think this is my 5th?” Ida said as she suddenly tilted her head, and Discordia blinked in surprise.

“ Your 5th? Ida,” Discordia started with a sigh and the younger girl groaned. “ You know you’re only supposed to have one cup.” She continued in a scolding tone.

“ What’re you, my mom?” Ida asked as she crossed her arms and sat back in her chair. Discordia shook her head as she crossed her arms and sat back in her chair.

“ No, I’m not your mom, but I am someone who loves, cares, and worries about you.” Discordia pointed out as she watched Ida pout and look away. “ So could you please not drink so much coffee?”

“ But if I only drink one cup of coffee, then I still feel tired,” Ida said with a dramatic sigh. “ How about…I drop it down to four cups of coffee a day?”

Discordia’s brow raised once again, and Ida groaned and threw her head back.

“ Please, Dia? I’m trying my best to compromise here!” Ida said as she leaned forward and rested her arms on the table.

Discorida made a humming noise, she knew she couldn’t ask Ida to quit coffee completely, or just drop automatically from five cups to one. So they did need to find a compromise, just like Ida said.

“ How about two cups of coffee and one cup of tea?” Discordia suggested, and she watched Ida's face immediately contort into a look of disgust.

“ Dia, you know I don’t like tea!” Ida said as she shook her head, and Discordia chuckled before she leaned forward as well.

“ Alright, alright, how about you drink…2 and a half cups of coffee, and if you still feel tired then you can drink the other half? Does that sound fair?”

“ Not really,” Ida said bluntly, before she gave the older woman a small smirk. “ But I guess I can try and drink only two and a half cups. But it’s only because you asked!”

Discordia smiled before she reached out and gently patted the girl on the head. Ida stuck her bottom lip out in a pout, but didn’t try to stop her.

“ Hey Ida,” Discordia began softly as she continued to pay her head. “ Promise me something,”

“ What?”

“ Don’t ever change. 5, 10, even 20 years from now, I hope you always stay the same sassy and bright Ida that I’ve always known.” Ida suddenly snorted before she turned to look at her.

“ I don’t plan on changing anytime soon, but why are you making me promise? Are you going somewhere?” Ida asked, her tone serious but with a hint of sadness in it. Discordia quickly shook her head.

“ No, I’m not going anywhere, at least not anytime soon. So don’t worry,” Discordia assured the girl, and she watched Ida smile a bit.

“ Good, because Faust Manor would be very boring without you here,” Ida said softly. “ I don’t know what any of us would do if we didn’t get to hear you and Nacht’s bickering every day,” Ida added with a chuckle, and Discordia laughed as well.

The two laughed and talked more over their tea and coffee as the afternoon turned to evening and the two would have to part.

Ohhh a triple ship. I think that long term I have some difficulty seeing triple ships work out, but short term I would love them. I already talked about YamiChar and that I adore them. I think Nacht would be a fun addition to the dynamic, with how passive aggressive he is with Yami. I think he would appreciate Charlotte. All of them would be a sweet mess and I’d love that.

Morgen x William -> kind of makes sense, doesn’t compel me

They do make sense since they were both in Grey Deer so they could have gotten closer back then. They both rather positive and I think that Morgen would see the good in William and maybe make him feel better about his scar. This could be therapeutic for him. Also William would really appreciate such a good person as Morgen. 

I think it doesn’t compel me that much because I ship them both with my mutuals’ OCs. However I can appreciate an interesting ship when I see it.

The MYSTERY TRIO in “Not, In Fact, a Ghost Story”!

WHEW.

This comic has been a long time coming, as folks who have followed this blog and seen the various teasers over the past year will know.  Actually I’ve been working on it even longer than that! 

This was done as a trade for @pirably​, in exchange for the wonderful Portal Ford plush he made!  (Seen here.)  The characters of Aru (big skull-faced monster) and Marun (the cat with the interdimensional-projection abilities) are two of his OCs who are friends of Portal Ford (see links to his tags for more of them!).  This story took shape between us, and all through the process, he gave me invaluable feedback and really made this better.  (I’ll say right now: the brilliant Bill-eye layout of page 8 was his idea; my original sketch was much more boring.) 

While I’m terribly overdue in finishing my half of the trade, it’s probably fortunate I took so long, as this would have been 10x harder to do without being able to work digitally in CSP, and probably wouldn’t have come out as well either..

I realized at the end that the theme and atmosphere of the story was just spooky enough to make for a good Halloween post.  So, also:

Discordia, Nacht, and Morgen: (seated together in a library)

Discordia: I now call this meeting of the Reading Dead Guys’ Writing Sucks Club to order.

Morgen: Dia, reading classical literature doesn’t suck. It helps nurture our appreciation for the written word.

Nacht: Plus, weren’t you at least a little entertained from reading a man spiral into insanity as he keeps on making his revenge more torturous and convoluted?

Discordia: The plot summary was enticing but the writing style made it so boring!

Morgen: I for one wish we picked a different book but I guess I’m the unpopular opinion.

Ida, walking in: Heeeey! Are you guys done yet? I wanna go out for a walk.

Nacht: No, we just started. You can take a walk by yourself, it’s not like you’re a dog or something.

Discordia: Goodness Nacht! What kind of brother are you to say that to Ida?

Ida: I may not be a dog, but we have Nacht to be the bitch of the family.

Morgen and Discordia: (stifle their laughter)

Nacht: Alright, you got me with that one, gremlin.

Morgen: (finishes laughing) Why don't you sit with us while we chat?

Ida: As long as it’s not something boring…

Discordia: Cousin dearest, did you forget what book we're talking about?

Morgen: I’m certain that Ida will fall asleep within a few minutes. Nothing to worry about.

One hour later...

Ida: (wide awake and listening intently to the others discussing revenge, murder, and psychological spiraling) So who does Lord Demisus target next?

Discordia, whispering: Should we be concerned?

Morgen: Yes, definitely.

Nacht: No, this is hilarious.

Hiya Marune! Funny enough I was just thinking about Nacht and Discordia today 🥰, so I hope you enjoy these!

💙-- Hurt/Comfort

Ooo a Hurt/Comfort HC I have for Nacht and Discordia is that, as the two are looking for her daughter Harmonia, Dia finally lets her guard down and tells him that she is a terrible mother/cousin. That she shouldn’t have left for Lumi before the Devil ceremony and that if she had been there Morgen wouldn’t have died, and that if she had stayed with Harmonia that night she wouldn’t have been taken out of the castle. She would cry and talk about how she’s a failure and Nacht, being Nacht, would comfort her in his own way. He would tell her that neither of those things were her fault, and he would pat her head. And of course he would try to lighten the mood by making a snarky comment, but him comforting her would be sincere.

❤️-- Secrets

A secret headcanon I have for Discordia and Nacht is that, when Morgen and the rest of their family died, both were thankful that the other didn’t die along with them. Nacht was thankful that Dia had been in Lumi with her soon-to-be husband, and Discordia was glad that she didn’t lose both her cousins to Lucifugus that night.

🤍-- Fluff

A fluffy headcanon I have is that the two, as much as they bicker, they still remember silly things that the other likes. For example on each other’s birthdays they usually are the first ones to give each other their gifts, Dia will leave her present in front of Nacht’s door and he will do the same, and usually it’s something they mentioned they liked in passing. But Dia and Nacht commited it to memory and got it for their birthday. Now of course everyone pretends that they don’t know this, but ofc they all do 😆!
