W A T C H E D
When the movie came out I was beyond putting in 24/7 care of my dad. Then that last year of his life was even more heavier care than that, if you can imagine.
Despite the kicking people give the sequel trilogy I was excited to see the final chapter of STAR WARS. But everything that happened I couldn't bring myself to watch it. I couldn't dedicate almost 3 hours to what would be a lot to take in. I'd have to watch it in 5 parts.
Then after my dad died. I was I shock. I'm not exactly not in shock now. But I let it go. Like some delusional idea that it was going to change anything. Irrational.
But i finally watched it. 4 years later. It was good to see it without social media and the news and friends and everyone picking it apart or analyzing the meaning or comparing and all that shit.
It was good story in my opinion. It wasn't a totally different movie to what Star Wars is. But it had all the markers that the old expanded universe Jedi vs Sith stories had. What the video games had. The Clone Wars.
But I enjoyed more than I would've with everyone breathing all over it in 2019-2020.

Best of 2022 TV Shows #1: The Orville: New Horizons (Hulu)
For Seth Macfarlane his little show that could somehow managed to do the unthinkable.
Be the best show of the year.
Tumblr media
All it took was a new network partner, upgrades in effects, story and quality to bring us some very compelling sci-fi.
With the timeline reset the Orville crew pick up the pieces and strained relationships in the process.
While not showing it, hurting most is the Kaylon Issac having burned all his bridges with the crew including newbie Charly who directly lost someone based on the attack.
But what this actually does is gives a real reason to root for the unthinkable.
Like Issac and Claire going the distance.
Tumblr media
A peace summit between the Union and Krill that unfortunately dove into real world issues resulting in a coup.
Bortus going through the wringer of fatherhood with Topa and identity issues with his race and mate.
Tumblr media
Kelly with mentoring an asylum seeker in the ways of the galaxy.
Lamar seeking advancement in command and love with his and Tallas unexpected connection.
Even Gordon who is given TVs single best episode this year as he unexpectedly makes a life for himself in 2025 Pasadena.
Pure wonder is brought within these 10 episodes.
Tumblr media
11 if you count the Audible novella.
But if this is the last time we get to see the crew, we might as well take Gordon Malloys advice from his James Taylor Cover.
“Since we’re on our way down, might as Well Enjoy the ride.”
youtube
Oh, we enjoyed it Seth we certainly did.
SUM 22: Hulu gives New Horizons to the Crew of the Orville and delivers this years best show for it.

I’m actually serious about this, if at all possible, right now is a very good time to request queer books from your local library. Whether they get them or not is not in your control, but it is so important to show that there is a desire for queer books. I will also say getting more queer books in libraries and supporting queer authors are pretty fantastic byproducts of any action.
This isn’t something everyone can do, but please do see if you are one of the people who has the privilege to engage in this form of activism, and if you are, leverage that privilege for all you’re worth.
For anyone who can’t think of a queer book to request, here is a little list of some queer books that I think are underrated and might not be in circulation even at larger libraries:
Refusing Compulsory Sexuality: A Black Asexual Lens on Our Sex-Obsessed Culture by Sherronda J. Brown
Silver Under Nightfall by Rin Chupeco
Harvard's Secret Court: The Savage 1920 Purge of Campus Homosexuals by William Wright
The Perks of Loving a Wallflower by Erica Ridley
God Themselves by Jae Nichelle
IRL by Tommy Pico
The Pink Line: Journeys Across the World's Queer Frontiers by Mark Gevisser
Passing Strange by Ellen Klages
The New Queer Conscience by Adam Eli
Fierce Femmes and Notorious Liars: A Dangerous Trans Girl's Confabulous Memoir by Kai Cheng Thom
Queering the Tarot by Cassandra Snow
Wash Day Diaries by Jamila Rowser
Queer Magic: Lgbt+ Spirituality and Culture from Around the World by Tomás Prower
Before We Were Trans: A New History of Gender by Kit Heyam
Beyond the Pale by Elana Dykewomon
Hi Honey, I'm Homo! by Matt Baume
The Deep by Rivers Solomon
Homie: Poems by Danez Smith
The Secret Life of Church Ladies by Deesha Philyaw
The Companion by E.E. Ottoman

Nsfw alphabet for cam, please? 👀
Of course, everyone is getting one! So Cam's will be below!
Kara's ABC
Isaac's ABC
G ABC
M ABC
Ardent ABC
A = Aftercare - He is the most considerate when it comes to aftercare, he might be utterly exhausted, but he will ensure his partner is taken care of. Do you need a massage? Cuddles? Something to eat or drink? Cleaned up? Cam will do it all, don't you dare move. You relax!
B = Body part - His waist. He likes how it's smaller than that of his chest and hips. Slutty waist gang unite, Cam is here for it. His favorite part on a partner is their waist! He loves to circle his arms around them, especially MC. If someone needed him to kiss along their midriff sparing no area with his kisses, he is more than up for it.
C = Cum  - The idea of marking his partner be that with bites/hickeys or with his cum does not deter him. If his partner lets him breed them the way he wants, Cam will happily watch his cum drip out of them. That will just get him going all over again.
D = Dirty secret - He once went down a water slide with MC sitting between his thighs. Their proximity to his crotch turned him on so he faked that MC hit him in the crotch instead so they wouldn't notice he was hard.
E = Experience - Cam has had sex several times he isn't the most experienced nor the least. He definitely knows what he is doing.
F = Favorite Position - He honestly doesn't have one. If he had to choose it would be the cowgirl position. He loves being able to see his partner, every breath they take every time they close their eyes. All of it.
G = Goofy - He can be! Cam will joke with their partner, especially since sex an be well funny, and some noises happen. He could ignore them or tease you instead and make you feel better about it.
H = Hair - He has a nice ginger happy trail that leads down to his 🍆 , he keeps the hair around it nice and trimmed, just in case!
I = Intimacy - Cam hasn't really been intimate in the past, but MC that will change drastically. He will want the moment to last as long as possible, tell them how much he cares about them while thrusting into them slowly.
J = Jack Off - He does it often, at least twice a day.
K = Kink -Breeding. He is very much going to ask his partner if he can breed them.
L = Location - Honestly, somewhere in public, but with MC Cam won't want people to see their beauty. So somewhere a bit more hidden. Oh yeah in front of the apartment window, no one looks up there! (Cam brain)
M = Motivation - MC! The way they arch their back when they stretch, the way they walk. Just MC <3
N = NO - He is not going to call you a bitch. He refuses!
O = Oral - He really enjoys receiving, like a lot. Please don't eat anything phallic around him. He will not be okay. But honestly, he really likes the idea of giving MC oral. Just making them moan his name, guy is a goner.
P = Pace - Cam is both, he can be really rough. Will absolutely pound his partner, or he can be very sensual. It would last for hours.
Q = Quickie - Yeah he would do a quickie, but only on the condition that they do it again properly later.
R = Risk - Does going down on MC in public count, because he is absolutely game. Risk works for Cam, in so many ways.
S = Stamina - With himself, he can go at least twice a day, with his partner 3. With MC, yeah...past 3.
T = Toy - He has no toys, doesn't mind them but would rather be the one to make his partners eyes roll back in their head.
U = Unfair - Way too much. You want him to go faster/rougher, oh okay he is going to slow down until you beg otherwise. Cam will tease the hell out of MC, it's because he cares!
V = Volume - Very loud! So much heavy breathing, grunting, and cursing. When MC asked if he was coming (into the room) Cam very loudly yelled "Fuck, yes!"
W = Wild Card  - Has accidentally sent a sext to MC before, with a pic of him in a towel, it was for his partner at the time. We don't talk about that ~
X = X-Ray - 8.3 inch and girthy. Cam has a freckle on the shaft, he's very self-conscious about it.
Y = Yearning - Very high! (For a certain person.) Let's just say our guy is touch-starved.
Z = ZZZ - Like 20-25 minutes later, he wants to just chat after. With MC especially, just talking about all the things, was it good? Was he good enough for you? Should you try it again right now?

Man. How did I forget that an entire subplot of Dazai's main story was just. Trying to trap him into having a single conversation with MC like a normal person I'm so akhdjgfkljshgskjd
I just love watching her, Arthur, and Isaac deadass plot with glee to get one over on Dazai it's killing me, this is some Hamlet level shit (no Charles do not stand behind the curtain to kill Dazai coming in the window!!! yamero!!!!!)
Also because I felt personally attacked (/j) when Isaac said this:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I love you Isaac but pls have mercy on creatives we only have one brain cell and we're trying s o hard oTL
Although, and I'll leave it under the cut since I'm back on my Comte-posting, but the way Comte talks about Dazai fascinates me. Also just as fair warning, I do broach a lot of the topics that come up in Dazai rt so trigger warnings for self-harm, suicide, CPTSD and PTSD, trauma, etc. I don't go too too in-depth, but they are there.
Comte: "Dazai is quite skilled at concealing what he's really feeling, even from himself, perhaps."
The way he instantly remarks on how Dazai is not only working to conceal what he feels from others, but also from himself. Tbh I think that's enormously perceptive, because at first glance most people tend to think Dazai is lazy, troublesome, flippant, or erratic (and sometimes, a combination of all of these).
I love that he sees to the core of who Dazai is and what he's feeling; fear. Dazai is afraid of hurting someone again, but I also think on some level he's made it an ontological problem; he's afraid of himself. He thinks his very existence is a negative entity, something that exists only to hurt and/or estrange other people, something wrong/different. I'd argue that's why he's so adamant about mood-making and keeping to himself. If you never express how you truly feel or live true to yourself, on some level you can't entirely reach others. Because fundamentally, being close to other people does require some level of lowered defenses and sharing. Ergo, never dwell too long or give too much of yourself away, never make a mark on anyone--good or bad.
As a side note, Theo calls him "a half-strewn dandelion puff" and I agree that's rather blunt, but on some level Theo operates on a level of utility. His entire operating precept is that life and work must serve a discrete purpose. And Dazai, in choosing to opt out of living with meaning/intent out of fear, makes this description entirely consistent with Theo's perspective of the world. Though his phrasing is harsh and perhaps one-dimensional, I do find it interesting that he comes to a similar conclusion as Comte as to what Dazai is doing.
Comte talks about it with such clarity and calm, he really does feel so parental in this moment. He's not necessarily minimizing the reality of how Dazai is experiencing the world, but he also clearly doesn't agree with Dazai's self-perception. Perhaps most striking to me is how Comte seems to understand that the only threat Dazai poses is to himself...Sometimes it feels like, in the case of conditions like mental illness/depression/etc. people are so eager to assume ill will of a person. This is only exponentially compounded if they prove to have striking intelligence and strategic capacity, the same way Dazai does. I guess I can't help but appreciate that Comte knows the difference between strong and scared, and even how the lines between the two can and often do blur (perhaps best exemplified in his relationships with Jeanne and Dazai).
(Side note: I forgot which event it was but, one time when Dazai was homesick for cherry blossom watching, Comte had the entire house filled with flowers to cheer him up [insert ugly sobbing]).
For someone so enigmatic, evasive, and distant, Comte still notices instantly that Dazai is much, much happier with MC. I suppose it makes me wonder if Comte knew all along that Dazai's real wish was to be accepted and loved as he was, but kept quiet out of respect for his privacy. I would offer too that sometimes people need to realize these things on their own for the information to have value.
But what really gets my ass is what Comte says right after:
Tumblr media
This is my bread and butter (so is he but that's not the point of this particular TED talk). In the last few years I've done a lot of exploratory work on how trauma is mapped both internally but also visibly on the body. What I think is engaging here is that, while it could be read on a surface level as "body language gives people's true intentions away" I don't think that's quite what he's getting at. Or perhaps better phrased, it's an oversimplification. I don't think it's that body language can't communicate real and important information about people's lives. Rather, that people associate rigid and absolutist interpretations to singular mannerisms, which does a disservice to both parties. Nobody can know a person at a glance; to say that you do reduces the lived reality of the opposite party.
Comte gives simple examples and couches his words for the context of the moment, but I think that first line is incredibly telling. "But the body is remarkably truthful." It makes me think of how, in moments where Comte is overcome with anxiety as a result of traumatic recurrence, he has acute panic attacks (i.e. shortened breath, racing heart, trembling). How Leonardo's lethargy (i.e. napping on the floor everywhere like the hobo he is) belies the reality of his very real exhaustion, the emotional turmoil that comes with a fraught immortal life.
Dazai's endless struggle with dissociation and self-harm, the way he stood in the rain unmoving at the thought of MC returning home to the modern era. Whether to numb himself from the pain of that grief/loneliness, or perhaps more likely the self-immolation of subjecting himself to the re-enactment of the most harrowing moment of his life. To relive that anguish as a reminder; to abstain from making the same mistake ever again. Jeanne's endless bodily tension, struggles with basic self-care (appears to be interoception-based; reduced signalling of the need to eat/rest/etc.), and self-isolation to cope in a world where only the strong survive. Never safe, always alone, always defensive.
I think, for many people in general but especially people who have been through intense PTSD/CPTSD/etc., it can be hard to express these feelings directly. Whether they are forcibly silenced, ridiculed into self-derision/self-concealment, or are overwhelmed by emotions that are difficult to process--each manifests itself in unconventional ways. It means a lot to me when those phenomena are portrayed so sensitively in written works/media, that they're explored with real intention and narrative subtlety to communicate how hard it is for people who are wounded or simply different (or both, as often is the case).
Addendum:
Even more than that, and this is an observation at the end of Dazai's route, is Comte's open belief that life is something to be cherished. Of course, like any other person he has behaviors he won't abide and people he doesn't feel partial to, but by and large he doesn't take life lightly. Perhaps that's why he doesn't expect Dazai to resort to such measures again, in conjunction with the circumstances of his transition. From an outsider perspective, I could see how Comte might assume Dazai no longer wishes for that if he seemed to regret his initial course of action by seeking resurrection. There is also the implication that Dazai is always at war with himself, and therefore might give contradictory impressions; one moment he wants to live, the next he doesn't. This is precisely what led him to ask Charles for help to subdue his own 'cowardice.' (His terms, not mine. [bonks him]) There is a sizeable subset of s-word survivors who, after recovery, feel that their problems were actually solvable despite their despair in the moment.
Of course, that doesn't apply to everyone, but I think there's something to be said of Comte feeling such real affection for the mansion boys that he is stricken to find out what Dazai attempted. And perhaps unsurprisingly, very adamant to keep him from ever pursuing such a course of action again. He's incredibly vulnerable about his horror that he might have inflicted something on Dazai that he never wanted in bringing him back, though Dazai comfortably refutes any lack of agency in the situation.
I guess I feel very compelled by the duality inherent in Comte's glass heart, precisely because of how realistic it feels. His greatest strength is his sensitivity, but it's also his greatest weakness in tandem. His genuine care for Dazai--the unwavering belief that his life is valuable and worthy--ends up being the reason he doesn't anticipate Dazai's rather deeply entrenched self-loathing. And to be honest, I'm a bit inclined to agree; looking back on a third reading Dazai feels way too hard on himself. It feels like the young girl's death was more a catalyst for what Dazai was already feeling, than anything. Dazai wanted so badly to have a reason to despise himself (as he already disliked how different and out of place he naturally felt) and with this, his self-reproach could have a viable, rational explanation. A locus outside of his body by which to rationalize his self-hatred. Accident or not becomes irrelevant; he was involved, and thus he is guilty.
He reminds me a lot of that post that was circulating once about how cultish behavior inculcates intelligent people with more devastating pull than one might expect, because intelligent people can more easily and more insistently find ways to desperately rationalize their situation to function in that whirlpool of abuse. Dazai feels like he's in this same such Catch-22, so busy believing he deserves to be scorned (because of how well he hides his perceived abnormalities) that he takes steps to ensure and reinforce it. He wants and needs to see his reality make sense, and if it won't answer his designs he will find a way to make it so.
It fascinates me because Dazai is an incredibly complex example of someone who desires control, but instead of inflicting it with external rapacity, he targets his own internal state. I once heard a Buddhist explain: yes, it is a sign of disturbance to engage with others aggressively and without grace. However, it is also a sign of disturbance when the mind seeks to harm one's own body. Although Dazai's disturbance is not as apparent, it is there. And that's part of what makes him so excruciatingly compelling to me, in a lot of ways he is the manifestation of the Sisyphean suffering of being ill in a quiet way. In enduring and smiling and laughing because you don't want to burden others--or know you're not allowed to--all while you slowly bleed from the inside out.

Ok, so the Stone triplets, I have a lot to say.
Jacob Stone was raised by their biological father Isaac Stone. Stone being all of their original last names (I'll get to the name changes later). I think their biological mom died which is what caused the separation of the brothers. I'd say this happened at an age in which they remember their mom and growing up together, but still young enough to have spent some of their childhood apart. Isaac Stone is known to be an alcoholic and deadbeat, I'd also argue abusive so he separated the twins, keeping only Jacob, the most agreeable of the three who he thinks he can make carry on the family business.
Alex was taken in by his uncle Danny as stated in s1e7. Danny says his folks couldn't take care of him anymore and left Alex with him. Alex was subsequently raised in a life of crime, lying, cheating, and stealing. I think Danny is their mom's brother and Isaac dumped Alex off onto him and Alex changed his last name to Walker to match Uncle Danny's.
Although Eliot says he was dropped at a hopital as a baby and then adopted by Billy, I think this is a lie and Eliot came to them when he was older after the death of his biological mother. I believe the Spencer's found Eliot in the hospital in Oklahoma, where both the Stones and Billy lived and took him in from there. Eliot then changed his name to his adoptive parents. We can assume the house in Oklahoma City that Eliot visits and doesn't get an answer at in The Low Low Price Job is Billy's. In The Bucket Job, Eliot has a contact in his phone labeled Dad (Billy) and "J." He is shown to text J so it can be assumed that Eliot and Jacob have had a little bit of contact, but Eliot says that he hasn't had contact with his Dad since he was 18. Now we don't actually know that Spencer is Billy's last name. It could be an alias Eliot used after leaving the military and becomes a little less than legal in his activities. Billy's last name could be Carson (Eliot is seen wearing a Carson Hardware shirt, and we know Billy had a hardware store). This could make Eliot's legal last name Carson.
(Sorry, there is a lot more)
When Eliot was 18, he enlisted in the military and left. I think this is what stopped the contact between him and Jacob, and contact between Alex and the other two decreased and eventually stopped as Alex was with Uncle Danny.
In the Miracle Job Eliot mentions having a nephew. This could imply another sibling whither biological or adoptive, or that Evelyn Walker is trans and Eliot didn't know.
Eliot goes through his time in the military, then as a hitter and retrieval expert, his time with Moreau, and then eventually with Leverage. Alex gets married and has a daughter, becomes a well known DEA agent and eventually divorced and ends up in the Philippines. Alex works for Isaac Stone for a bit while amassing secret degrees eventually leaving the family business under the guise of working a similar job somewhere else when he is working for The Library.
Eliot hears about Alex's DEA fame through the crime grapevine and Alex catches wind of the notorious Eliot Spencer whom he suspects is his brother but can't seem to ever find enough information on to confirm. They however do not have contact. Eliot finds out about Jacob working for the Metropolitan Library as an art historian after Jacob gains the confidence to publish under his own name through Sophie who admires his work and would love to con him. This prompts the first contact since they were 18 from Eliot (with the help of Hardison's computer skills but Eliot asked Hardison not to ask questions). Eliot also establishes Jacob off limits as a mark for Sophie with no context.
Eve Baird knows about DEA legend Alex Walker. As previously mentioned, Sophie knows about Jacob Stone as an art historian. Sophie and Maggie die and pester Eliot once they find out he knows thee Jacob Stone, Dr Oliver Thompson, and all the other aliases Jacob has published under. Read more in another wonderful Stone Triplets post here.
Now, there are options about how this reconnection could go. A combo of a con and clippings book quest in the Philippines leading to Alex. Or a vacation in Portland for our Filipino friends where they and the LITs end up in the Portland brew pub (since that's where the annex is). Or they finally decide to reach out to each other.
I'm team Eliot decides he wants to reach out, especially after reconnecting with Billy and texting a bit with Jacob. So they all meet in a neutral location. Obviously, they bring their found families with them. And oh dear, it's Bisexual Disaster Polycule³. Kai and Ernesto are terrified to find out there are two more Alex's but they are actually cool, they are however trying to actively ignore the not quite legal business Alex's gruff looking brother Eliot seems to have going on. They've heard stories about The Eliot Spencer, but Alex trusts him, so they will too. Mostly. Ezekiel can not believe he is meeting THE Parker. And it's stealing for a good cause! He wants to work with Leverage immediately. Cassandra is so excited to meet Jacob's family (especially since meeting Isaac didn't go very well). She and Hardison are stoked to pick each other's brains. Jacob assures Eve that it's ok to tell his brothers the truth. Parker, Breanna, and Hardison both die a little upon finding out about the existence of magic. They all three have a billion and one questions and Breanna practically begs for an apprenticeship under Jenkins, wanting to learn more about the back door and his other inventions. (Jenkins decided best not to share his true identity for avoidance of the endless questions bound to erupt). The Filipino trio try not to think too hard about the magic stuff. Jacob is lightly concerned about the art theft, but he Sophie and Maggie immediately set up a brunch. Jacob and Ernesto talk martial arts, and Eliot compliments both of their styles. Alex and Parker talk about being raised in crime. Alex is amazed that he's the one who was raised in lying and stealing, but it's the other two brothers who do that now. Jacob is very offended and insists he is not a thief and that retrieving dangerous artifacts is not theft. When they part ways and Alex goes back to his gift shop, he is surprised to find out from Corey that rent has been paid for several months in advance. Also, upon meeting, it was noted of the stark similarity between Harry and Flynn only to find out that Flynn is Harry's estranged, eccentric cousin. What a small world.
They chat, they catch up on eachothers lives, and they agree to keep in touch. For real this time. They plan to spend holidays together, combining the three found families into a chaotic but loving mess.
It should also be noted that I haven't seen Angel yet, but Lindsay is a cousin. They also have a weird cousin from Texas named Lee Webb. Back to when I mentioned that we don't know that Spender is Billy's last name. Eliot could have taken inspiration from a family member with the last name Spencer. (It could be his mom if she and her brother Danny Walker have different last names or another family member). Thereby connecting Shawn Spencer to be a cousin. The thought of him at a family reunion with Eliot, Jacob, and Alex is too funny to ignore. Especially when you remember Parker's thing about psychics and how much Sophie would absolutely adore the long con game on the SBPD.

In Christopher Nolan's Oppenheimer, the decision of Cillian Murphy's J. Robert Oppenheimer to make the leap from theoretical physics to practical applications is a personal one. "It's not your people they're herding into camps," he says to Josh Hartnett's Ernest Lawrence. "It's mine."
Oppenheimer's Jewish background (and that of many of the brilliant people portrayed in the film, like Albert Einstein, Edward Teller, Isidor Isaac Rabi, Richard Feynman, Leo Szilard and others) is a key component in their determination to prevent the Nazis from being first to create an atomic bomb. You would not know this, however, if you saw the movie in Arabic.
As reported in The National, an English-language news outlet based in the United Arab Emirates, the Lebanon-based company that translated the film for the region has dodged the specific word for Jews and, instead, has opted to use word ghurabaa that translates as stranger or foreigner.
Egyptian film director Yousry Nasrallah criticized the decision, saying "The Arabic translation of the dialogue was strikingly poor. There is nothing to justify or explain the translation of Jew to ghareeb or ghurabaa. It is a shame."
An unnamed representative for the film told The National that this is not atypical for Middle Eastern censor boards. "There are topics we usually don't tackle, and that is one of them. We cannot use the word 'Jew', the direct translation in Arabic, otherwise it may be edited, or they ask us to remove it."
They continued, "In order to avoid that, so people can enjoy the movie without having so many cuts, we would just change the translation a little bit. This has been an ongoing workflow for the past 15 or 20 years." (In 2013, though a large section of the Brad Pitt action film World War Z was set in Israel, Turkish translations changed all references to simply "The Middle East.")
There are several moments in the film in which the impact is blunted by this censorship. Oppenheimer's foe, Lewis Strauss (played by Robert Downey Jr.), is also Jewish, and mentions it in the film — but then is particular about the Americanized way his name ought to be pronounced. When Oppenheimer meets Rabi, who is first to voice ethical concerns about the creation of the bomb, he refers to himself and Oppenheimer as "a couple of New York Jews," marking themselves as distinct from mainstream American culture. The National reports that the translation reads as "inhabitants of New York."
Oppenheimer has seen tremendous box office success both domestically and internationally, with a cumulative gross of $650 million — a remarkable achievement for a historical drama. Last week it became the highest-grossing World War II film of all time, has extended its 70mm IMAX run in several markets, and even surpassed Star Wars: The Force Awakens as the biggest earner at Hollywood's Chinese Theatre.

So this morning, cs my brain is fried in many ways,
As a companion to the Draculas of New Jersey, have all the Frankensteins of England -
First, on the very first census, of 1841, we have Jacob Frankenstein and his family, living in Liverpool -
Tumblr media
There really wasn't much detail on early census records, and whoever's filled this in has done it a slightly odd order (dad, youngest son, mum, oldest daughter, middle son), but we see we have Jacob Frankenstein, who is a merchant, his wife Sarah, and their children Henrietty (age 5), Samuel (age 3) and Nathan (age 1 or possibly 7), and that F in the last column marks them as "born in Foreign Parts".
The house they live in, they seem to share with two other families - an English roper, his wife and four children, and an Irish tailor his wife and their servant. I imagine, if I might, that it may have been one of those tall buildings you get in the town centre occasionally, with a shop below and two or three storeys above - the tailor would have the shop and the floor above, and the one/s above that would be split between Frankenstein and Choppers (the roper)
I'm not certain, cs nothing much is certain on the 1841 census, but I think that must be the case, because there's a 1 for 1 dwelling/building, and then the families have little notch marks separating them (you can just see one above the J in Jacob there).
If we skip forward 20 years, we find them not in Liverpool, but having moved to Islington, London
Tumblr media
A little more detail on this record - we find out that Jacob and Sarah are from Hanover, which I gather is now a part of Germany. Henrietty has anglicised her name to Harriet, and that N must be Nathan, which means he was 1 on the 1841 record. We also see Harriet was born in Yorkshire, and Nathan in Liverpool, tho I can find neither record. And that Jacob's merchant-ing is going well enough that they needn't share housing and they actually have a live-in maid!
And, there's another record to show he joined the Freemasons in about 1850, so I imagine he was doing fairly well for himself.
-
There is, at the same time as our Jacob in 1841, another J Frankenstein, but this one is an "agent" - whatever that means 180 years ago - and he lives in Stepney!
Tumblr media
He is also "of Foreign Parts" and also in his 30s, but he is instead a lodger, with several other single German-sounding men (you can see Doctor Gotentag above him there), in the house of some laundresses (Sarah Kelly, Elizabeth Pryor, and her daughter Sarah)
I jumped forward 10 years to 1851, and couldn't confirm finding this same Frankenstein, but there are a couple of new ones -
We have Adolphus, a tailor from Breslau who is lodging in Manchester with a Polish hawker and his family
Tumblr media
And we have Isaac, a licensed hawker - a seller of things, the type that shout you over, like a marketstall man, tho maybe without a stall - in this case, jewellery - and he lodges in Portsea/Portsmouth, with Kitty Barnard and her daughters.
Tumblr media
-
Then, if we jump again to the 1870s, there are a great many more Frankensteins -
We have Jacob, Israel, Simon and Harris Frankenstein, who are all Polish tailors (tho sometimes the record says "Russia Poland"). Israel and Simon live in London, Whitechapel and Spitalfields respectively. Jacob is in Cheetham and Harris is in Manchester. And all their families, too.
Also in Cheetham, we find Reub and his family - I imagine he is Jacob's brother or cousin (he is also listed "Russia Poland") - he is a glazier, and his teenage sons are tailors.
Philip Frankenstein, also in Cheetham and from Poland and so likely another brother or cousin, is a waterproof manufacturer (did macks exist then?).
And Leon, who lives in Rochester, married a Kentish woman called Lydia Jolley (nee Gladdish), and he is a picture frame maker, also Polish - tho he, unlike the rest, is listed under "Poland, British Subject" - either, he lived in England most of his life and was just born in Poland (see, my John Scarth, who always listed himself as "Portugal, British Subject", and was from Orkney), or because he married an Englishwoman, I'm not sure, and he, nor the census man, are not here to quiz.
Tumblr media
If I go any later, I imagine there'll be a great deal many more records to trawl through and I don't really want to, so I shan't.
I am mildly disappointed there are no Adam Frankensteins, tho, I did check

fellow fansies - I have complied a (hopefully) comprehensive list of cast members for anyone new to the fandom or for those who may like a refresher on the casts. I've not included every single character, just the main ones, so if you'd like a character adding just ask; also if you notice any cast members are missing or have been labelled incorrectly in any way, please let me know, I want this list to be as accurate as possible. characters with a dash (-) for any of the categories I wasn't sure if they were included in that production or not. if you're able to fill in any of the blanks that would be much appreciated. any questions, please let me know <3

I know it might be a bit much, but can you make the NSFW alphabet for Kara pretty please?
👉👈
Aw, sure thing anon. I see we have another in Kara's corner. It will be below ~ (Should I do this for every RO?)
Isaac ABC
Cam ABC
M ABC
G ABC
Ardent ABC
A = Aftercare - Kara finds it very important to provide aftercare for her partner. Especially considering how much she can put them through. She is very soft with her touch and basically ensures that every little bite mark, bruise, or even red hand print on her partner's body gets the utmost attention. Does she need to rub lotion on you? She will do it!
B = Body part- Her favorite body part is her thighs, she is a fan of how thick they are, and how they look in clothes. Her favorite body part on a partner is the neck. Mainly because she enjoys seeing her hickeys on it.
C = Cum - Kara ensures that she shares eye contact with her partner when licking their cum off her fingers, or off them.
D = Dirty Secret - Always thought MC was pretty.
E = Experience - Is very experienced, and knows what she is doing. Be it with her kinks, or when she assumes "dommy mommy" mode.
F = Favorite Position - The armlock, and 69. (Kara is obviously the one bending them over ;) )
G = Goofy - She is much more serious in the moment, even uses a different tone of voice.
H = Hair - She has a landing strip, very well groomed. Slightly darker blonde than the hair on her head.
I = Intimacy - Depends on the mood, if Kara has had a rough time she will be much more intimate/sweet. If not, she is much more rough but she can still be romantic during, praising her partner with her affection.
J = Jack Off - She tends to masturbate once a week, it helps her destress from a rough week at work.
K = Kink -BDSM
L = Location - She would love to have sex at the office where MC and her work.
M = Motivation - Brattiness turns her on, as well as someone caressing her thigh.
N = NO - Feet, nope, no.
O = Oral - She like's to give and receive, Kara is very skilled with her tongue and her lack of a gag reflex.
P = Pace - She can be both. When it comes to her partner if she is really wanting to tease them/please them, she likes to go at it slowly.
Q = Quickie - She would be more than happy with a quickie, though she prefers to take her time.
R = Risk - She is open to experimenting with her partner.
S = Stamina - She can easily go 2-3 rounds. After that it's bath time.
T = Toy - Has more than enough toys, not only for her to use, but to also use on her partner.
U = Unfair - She loves teasing her partner, having them begging for more or for her to let them finish. It turns her on that much more!
V = Volume - She can be very loud, depends on the moment because if she is wanting to tease her partner she will bite her lips and keep her moan from escaping.
W = Wild Card - Kara lost her virginity at 19.
X = X-Ray - She has a clit piercing.
Y = Yearning -- It's about mid, Kara is just as happy to enjoy her partners company while cuddled up, if it leads to more great, if not that is fine too.
Z = ZZZ- She falls asleep about 10-15 minutes after.
