🔸Day 29 🔸 " Most difficult make" of #marchmeetthemaker

So this is a commissioned piece I did for someone awhile back. It was certainly one of the most challenging drawings I've done due to the level of accuracy needed on the anatomy of the skull. It took a number of attempts to try match up both halves of the face so it looked natural, the mouth was particularly difficult. This is also the largest work I've done to date. While I worked on it I decided to call the polar bear Harvey and he now lives happily in Canada!

Day 5 of #marchmeetthemaker2019 , details/ close up. My wood burnings are small, this piece will fit on the palm of your hand, a close up photo still gets the entire wood slice in frame. I love how the light in this shot picks up all of the textures. The sky sparkles, mimicking an incredible starlight sky far away in the wilderness. Hello friends! I’ve fallen behind on #MarchMeetTheMaker, like I always do in these IG challenges 🤦🏻‍♀️, so I’m just going to jump back in when I can. Today is Motivation/Goals. I don’t know if I have any specific goals, except to just keep making new things and introducing new products. ***Day 2 - of #marchmeetthemaker How you started *** I've always been creative, drawing painting and just generally making. I remember my mum always doing stuff with me and my brothers on weekends and school holidays. So it's been in me to make my whole life. Textiles was a total accident, I was choosing A Level subjects and was still unsure which direction to go art or music so wanted to do both, graphics clashed with music so my art teacher said give textiles a go if you hate it try something else... obviously I didn't hate it! Prior to that I think we made a cushion in year 7 at school and I didnt enjoy it ha. Supermarket Stitch was born out of my final year project at Huddersfield University and carried on afterwards taking me to all over England and the world talking about and showing my work. Congratulations Batman on reaching Detective Comics 1000!!!! Pretty much done with the bulk of my Batman Project. Only some small adjustments left and more signatures to collect. (Probably get another signature from Clay Mann and Klaus Janson as they ended up behind the gargoyle and Batman's leg) Maybe a new background as it's a bit blue.
