Do you like to only have coffee at cafes or do you enjoy trying different teas as well? Recently i went to a cafe and bought white tea and the lady threw in some dried rose as a bonus, i thought that was super cute and tasted great... if you do drink tea whats the fav one you had so far...and if not then the same question but for coffee 🍂🍁🍰☕🍵

hmmmmm i dont mind teas! but my opinion on teas is similar to flowers, its like.... i dont know much about anything. i usually stay away from green teas, because it makes me nervous how easy it is to fuck them up, so i always worry theyll bring me the little pot and i wont take out the tea holder on time and itll end up so bitter that i cant drink it and ill waste my money. bc i feel like every other tea, black, white, fruity or herbal, theyre so much harder to fuck up - so i prefer those.

one thing i do have my mind set on, about teas, is that i never take them with sugar or honey or even lemon! i always thought they are so much better on their own. the exception being like, this winter kinda tea, the heavy stuff with like wintertime fruits and spices and whatever, like, you know, apples and oranges and cinnamon and the little thingies.... like natures nails, i dont fucking remember what theyre called, but they get nailed into oranges all the time. anyway, its so good.

and YES i love it when they throw in flowers into white teas! i have no fucking idea if it influences the taste at all, but i love how pretty it looks. yeeeears ago, in this cafe that is now long gone, i remember ordering a sailor-moon themed white tea with flowers inside, and i still think about it until this day. not that it was like, that good. but it was so fucking cute. such a good concept. tea is already just dried leaves and stuff, why not throw in more plants inside. i also love it when its done with alcohol. just throwing some grass or leaves or flowers into vodka. idk if they give any additional flavor tho.

*slaps my hands on the table* thats ok because i do!

this post ended up being multiple paragraphs long and contains a lot of personal stories so if youre still interested its under the cut. tw for drug use obviously

now granted i havent had that many of them and the only kind ive had were these cookies my brother made but good LORD. sweet JESUS they were strong. like STUPID strong. i remember he prefaced giving me them with "i ate one and thought i was a little worm wiggling in the dirt" and i was like ok i think i can handle it

i could not handle it. strong edibles will slonk your shit silly style. theyre a bit different than smoking because it kinda all kicks in at once, smoking is usually a milder high unless its like a bong rip. i remember one time it kicked in and i could barely get the words "guys i think the edible hit" out before breaking into a 10 minute laughing fit. i was on another plane i was shot up to the moon

and again these were particularly strong ones it really just depends on the strain of weed and the dosage, but some of the effects ive experienced are as follows:

everything is funny. like everything ever is funny. i will just laugh for any reason if im high enough, you could jangle keys in front of my face and id start cry laughing. weed kind of just makes you stupid like that. ive noticed it helps with the adhd too because ill finally have the patience to sit down and watch things or do tasks without getting irritated

pain numbing/weird funny skin feeling. ive noticed that i usually feel warm when the weed kicks in and thats usually followed by like a tingly feeling and a reduced ability to feel pain. this is nice bc im an idiot who gave myself back pain from sitting weird so this makes it go away. probably not anywhere near as effective for that purpose as pain meds but ive never been on any prescription pain meds or anything that wasnt like, ibuprofen so i dont know

food tastes really fucking good. ive considered going back on my adhd meds with recreational weed bc the meds were an appetite suppressant and thats why i had to stop taking them. weed will make you hungry as FUCK and everything you eat will taste better

lower impulse control, this one is kind of a bad side effect because if you were already thinking about doing stupid shit and you get high then youre gonna do it. one time i was on call with a friend and kept chewing on my fingers til they were bruised bc i wanted to chew on something

slowed perception of time/distorted perception of reality. this one is either scary or cool depending on the person but i find it enjoyable. time will slow DOWN like minutes will feel like hours. every splatoon match i play while high is the longest one of my life, and ive found i usually perform better in games because im less stressed and more just absorbed in what im doing. that combined with the fact that my brain blurs the line between whats real and fake so if im playing a game itll feel real to me. i will be staring at the inside of the grizzco building and feel like im actually there, its crazy. playing video games while high is fun

ive noticed that if i get too high i kinda feel dizzy and not in control of my body, my head feels like its underwater and ill be sitting there rocking back and forth waiting to come down a little. which would be scarier but thanks to the funny giggly chemicals its not that bad. but its also not pleasant when youre in a social situation and want to try to act normal

im not actually sure what me dumping all this info accomplishes but maybe someone will see it and itll help them write a character that smokes weed or something. and like granted these are only my own experiences and not everyone is gonna share them but regardless, thank you for the ask

soooo tempted to buy a comfy lil chair at the thrift today buuut dont wanna waste any money til i see how the swap meet goes.. but i need a chair in my room and a lil table fr.. especially if i wanna continue my studies.. actually had a revalation today while blasting white light white heat that i should move my piano to be right by the window. and then move my drawer to be where the piano is. idk dont get me wrong i LOVE my piano but like if it wasnt taking up 25% of my room space id be real free to actually have a nice normal looking room -_- i i wanna move things around for sure cause i wanna have a full body sized mirror in my room to take selfies so ya :I and just want more space and freedom moving around. ill see how things feel once i move my organ under my bed and drop stuff off at the thrift but like i wanna move my shelves around tho cause i havae this lil corner where my laundry basket is and i only have the basket there cause the drawer cant be touching the corner cause then u cant open it cause the shelf is right infront of it so i wanna organize it so that theres no dead space like that going unused. my plan rn after like 10 mins of looking at it is to move the piano by the window where the drawer is currently (and have it touch the wall), move the drawer perpendicular to the piano on the wall the piano will be touching, and move the shelves that were originally touching that wall on the opposite side of the new drawer position and on the wall that the piano was originally on. I LOVE LOVE LOVE my lil gaming corner on the floor buuut i think im gonna have to get real and like move it out and just have my tvs n stuff a more proper table with a chair n stuff T-T well ill see but regardless i atleast want a lil table and chair in my room just to atleast sit and read. and also wanna at the least move my game tv corner to be facing more towards the center of the room so i can one listen to records and have it face the room and not just that lil corner and 2 play games with friends easier whenever i get a chance to. but ill see im not greaet at measuring with measuring tape but i just did rn and the space seems p good but dont kno if itll leave me w/ enough space to reposition my tv corner. buuut super excited regardless abt having big things in the works. i hope the swap meet goes well so like i can make money that way to buy furniture and just be secure in that sense. idk i rly do hope the swap meet goes well cause like itd be such u kno honorable work. like thats also why i was so happy working at the store cause it truly was something i was proud of. knowing that my taste is apparently developed enough to be given that kind of resposibilty. sooo ya. fingers crossed. thought regardless i really will try to stay optimistic. just not abt things going perfectly but abt being happy abt the future

fun new coffee experiment!!

i went to a flower nursery with my mom today and decided to pick a rose head from one of the big bushes, and now i dont actually know what to do with it and its dying!!

solution: make it into a strange concotion!!! :D

hypothesis: if i make this, then itll taste pretty good, and also give me magical powers and prove im a witch of some sort

I decided to decimate the petals with a coffee grinder and throw it into one of those little metal reusable k cups since we got one a those and ran it with water, and now ive turned it into this pleasantly pink drink!!

and actually quite quickly as of typing this its now turned into this brownish tea-like thing, which im not sure if its because of the ground residue in the coffee grinder or the heat, but oh well!!

actually, to note: when i removed the petals from the k cup, they were essentially just this dead grey mass of planty mush, which i think its kinda interesting because i thought the juices were just sucked into the water, but i guess theyre alive still? or something, idk im not a botanist

after that i added it to about 8oz of fireside rum coffee that i kept from christmas (since its a flavor im familiar with), and added the 2 brews together

as a control, i probably shouldve tried the flower mix on its own, but my mom called me out to yardwork and i got distracted, so i just dumped in in with the coffee, but i will try it without any other additives just to see if the flavors any good

ok so it tastes like this weird mix of like a mysterious herb, kinda like a mix of basil and mint, and kinda like sweet tea, and black coffee, which i dont even drink coffee black so i dont actually know why i did that.

when the light hits it right though its got the weird pinkish highlight to it which is pretty sick

anyway i added a bit of creamer and tastes a little herby, but its slightly cold because i left while making it

conclusion: solid 6/10 needs more eye of newt or something like that

when y. when you dont get to eat dinner bc youre broke bc youre disabled and cant hold a job and your parents buy your food but they dont believe in things like "digestive disorders" or "dietary needs" so they basically tell you to either eat something that will make you sick or not eat at all bc they cant go to 3 different places to pick up food and skerples already cant eat the food everyone else eats (autism). and then they get mad at YOU when youre like okay. guess i will not eat then. because they are like ogh youre just being mean because you hate me stip trying to be special and eat it even though it makes you sick like the rest of us >:( like SORRY id rather not eat at all than eat something that will make me throw up. (me and dad have had extended arguments over this. he truly cannot understand this concept and thinks that everyone should eat things that they hate or that make them sick because its food and no one should ever be allowed to like. customize their food or get something else))

they did get me like some potatoes but 1. its like. 3 bites worth (none of us knew it would be that small) and it also tastes awful (i really didnt want to get anything but again they got really pissed at me for saying i just wouldnt eat then (not even like. in a passive agressive way i was just like. uhhh well i think im too sick to eat any of this. itll be fine) and looked like they were gonna cry about me not getting food. like idk but if you care that much about me eating then maybe stop picking the same 2 fast food places that you KNOW and have known for years that i cant eat at. maybe then you wouldnt have to feel bad or whatever. or maybe the real issue is just that you WANT to feel wronged by me + a refusal to accept that people can be sick for their whole lives bc you have been sick for your whole life but refuse to accept it. mom literally cant work and is on ssi bc of her disabilities but also disabilities arent real and no on has them and everyone can just try hard enough to overcome their symptoms. except her of course, because shes your wife. but fuck those kids tho. no matter how old they get they are still too young to have any type of medical problem, because kids are immune to medical problems and adults can simply will them away.)

anyway this time it was taco bell but also just because i want to get this off my chest too im adding it. normally they get like burgers and i can only tolerate mcdonalds burgers and bk to an extent (as far as wjats availble here. i knos everyone hates mcd burgers but they dont upset my stomach like everything else. idk why. they dont taste like a burger but whatever they do taste like is good to me. mostly i think they just taste like salt) and the sheer RAGE dad flies into every SINGLE time he asks what i want and i say i want a cheeseburger with no mustard. he LOOSES HIS SHIT. EVERY SINGLE TIME HE YELLS AT ME FOR IT. im like sorry man but if its got mustard im not gonna eat it. its disgusting. i dont want you to waste money on food im not going to eat. and he gets SO MAD. he doesnt WANT to save money; he wants me to be the perfect little military brat he tried to raise me as who never speaks unless spoken to or asks questions and does as hes told and eats disgusting slop and vomits and says thank you sir. can i please have more sir. and it AINT ME.

anyway if you wanted to know why im bad at starting conversations and you read this far uh. now you know. the ability to speak to someone else first got beaten out of me its not even anxiety i get so scared of getting introuble for starting a conversation that i black out and forget every single interest ive ever had. BUT if someone else starts for me im okay <3

techno shows up on lore and the dsmp tag is now littered with c!techno critical rabts here and there

anddddddd its making me want to ramble again lolol

first of i see a lot of people saying the c!wilbur c!techno apology/talk is a soft retcon or that it doesnt make sense so just wanna say

they didnt retcon anything to make c!techno look good, it was canonical from the start that all the characters had terrible terrible communication issues and the manburg v pogtopia era had so much ulterior hidden motives for all the characters and the ones that didnt were just mostly confused, unsure and frazzled so they went with the flow

the blame wasnt solely on c!wilbur but he did definitely kept the whole 'i will and i mean I WILL blow up lmanburg no matter what' plan all to himself, so not just techno but everyone got bamboozled during tht day

one thing that bugged me is that the c!techno rants werent bringing up the fact that c!wilbur legitimately wanted to blow up lmanburg with everyone in it so that itll truly be an unfinished symphony with no one to pick it back up and instead they phrased it as if the first lmancrater was mostly from the withers when it wasnt cause the water flowing through the area minimized the wither explosions but the tnt underground definitely worked its magic

the lil murder spree after didnt result in canon deaths either so technically it really isnt as horrible as what people are making it out as

the 2nd lmancrater with doomsday though?? ye go off i do agree it was very excessive even as a revenge plan from being executed it was way too much destruction

people kept bringing the red festival up again too, yes techno had the power to refuse and could probably escape with tubbo ok but if im not mistaken at tht time didnt they have a plan or sth?? a signal from either tubbo or wilbur that was supposed to cue in said escape?? did nyall conveniently forget tommy wanting to save tubbo but being held back because wilbur said not yet. watching from each of the perspective you can clearly see the doubt and confusion from each person. in technos pov hes still a fairly new person, yes he was brought in to help pogtopia but he wasnt sure of what his position in this secret coup was at this time, their initial plan did not account for the sudden execution and since there werent any other signs from his allies (or i guess boss since idk he feels like a mercenary to me during this point :/) he succumbed to peer pressure and blew the podium sky high

meanwhile tommy being a very loyal protective person, who knew of the blade and was told techno is on their side, expected techno to do what he would do if tommy was in technos place (kill schlatt, free tubbo) but unfortunately tommys fierce loyalty does not exist in techno who again is still fairly new and lorewise have just begun to get to know both tommy and tubbo (he only has past connections with wilbur so he probs also mostly puts his trust and confidence in wilburs words)

tl:dr the real antagonist in the dsmp is and always will be the shitty communication skills the characters have be it in communicating their motives, feelings, agenda, etc etc

oh also for the whole prison thing

idk bout you but dream did save technos life and hes only sticking to his philosophy of an eye for an eye, p sure even if phil or niki refused to help he would still try to save the green teletubby

c!techno definitely is having a hard time garnering sympathy from a lot of dsmp fans mainly because he c!techno is very detached and doesnt form meaningful connections very easily (except ig phil and ranboo which is why emeraldduo and peerpressure duo are one of his most famous dsmp dynamics because it actually exists properly) while dsmp is rooted heavily in the bonds the characters make with each other especially regarding the s1 cast so seeing this character who seems to disregard everyone else will leave a sour taste in their mouth but as much as you hate it or love it, like what wilbur have said before on a reddit post, c!technos character is still consistent as lawful neutral (someone who does things mainly for their benefit/to further their personal goals with whatever is available to them without much care to whether or not its 'right' or 'wrong')

#i think i dont mind c!techno and his whole RAGHH IM A MENACING PIG WHO WILL KILL YOU IF YOU LOOK AT ME WRONG #but also im a socially awkward person who is emotionally constipated because i grew up just fighting people #act because im not attached to any dsmp characters as much as other dsmp fans and can look at the lore pretty objectively #i mean even dream to me is pretty eh ok ye hes fucked up but i can see why he does wht he does even tho #again its fucked up dang mans needs better coping mechanisms other than beating up teens #cause ye id get a lil pissy too when someone encoraches on my place and my friends slowly leave me #to pursure other things and leaving me in the dust #hes got attachment issues #his need for control is because hes losing control of his own life and lashes out to the easiest target #in this case tommy #i think they all just need therapy lmao #dsmp critical #cat rambles #anyways disclaimer understanding someones pov doesnt mean im ok with what theyre doing #i just dont get all angry about it #i do get a lil peeved when others put a lot of 'anger' and 'contempt' without trying to see how and why it did wht it did tho

about asoiaf sex scenes, incest, pedophilia, etc... i know it's fantasy and you have "freedom" to write whatever you please, but it is absolutely fucking fascinating to me (not even in a negative way) how grrm is pretty much exempt from that criticism amongst the general public and people are like "oh misogyny" and "white savior complex" when that shit goes on. i feel that grrm is rarely criticized for more problematic shit and idk why that is (not saying he should be)... ya feel?

Somewhat (?) Incoherent 6am thoughts:

I dont want to say "no one can write about these dark topics ever" in my opinion it's just the way theyre presented, if that makes sense? In asoiaf it's not presented as a Good Thing in the setting, but it's def a Normalized Thing That is Not Good. Like idk on the misogyny claim bc he writes fantastic female characters but the setting itself is not kind to them - and there's a deluge of women in the setting who know this and try to turn the game to their favor... and several women who self-internalize misogyny and hurt each other because of the system.

The sexual abuse is an extension of this setting putting women as second class. Which, yeah, is historically "accurate" and still true today. It doesnt mean I enjoy reading about it, nor does it mean GRRM endorses it. Male creators of any medium like to throw in sexual violence to show how dark and gritty their world is. It's everywhere. And ive seen this argument done many times:

"Well, it's based off [x historical year/setting that had violence against Y group], so ofc itll have it here!", which the response is "its a fictional setting, it only has those bc the creator decides it", to which the next response is "if theyre trying to be 'accurate'...."

And so on and so forth.

There's many situations where the author clearly believes the biases of the characters/setting in their books (HP Lovecraft), and there are situations where the author is just writing bad people. I've noticed people getting these conflated, especially if the author isn't nailing them over the head with "THING BAD!" (That's very prevalent in YA and it drives me insane).

Examples of that - Sansa isn't happy about these older men creeping on her + she's learning how to play stupid and be unassuming, Cersei constantly remarks on a lot of the shitty sexism and hypocrisy (and she indulges knowingly in misogyny), Catelyn has a lot of internalized monogyny, generally judgmental thoughts & she perfectly follows the role assigned to her gender and rank, the creepy pedo/rape is obvs being done by bad people, etc etc. Tho I do wish Daenerys' chapters had more of her thinking 'wow this is fucked up!!!' and less 'falling in love' with Drogo after all the shit he puts her through :/ but she's also a freaking teen and dealing w a fucked up childhood. Kid!Dany thought she was gonna marry her brother ffs, and it doesn't occur to her that's fucked up bc her whole family does it.

Theyre still way too young tho. Gross.

sorry if this isn't coherent. A lot of this is up to taste for some people, like i rlly cant stand to read sexual assault/rape so i skip over that in any book i read. And theres people who arent bothered by that at all in asoiaf and dont even recall it

omg youre gonna indulge me about the gyulwon . . . [drags the gyulwon anon over here] LISTEN TO THIS DISCUSSION ITS ABOUT THE FIC. i had So many thoughts on this legit i had to come up with the backstory before i could dive into it cause its such an interesting idea

like i actually Did have in mind what youre saying flover anon about an arranged marriage but set in contemporary instead and that it does still retain traditionalist ideals

the backstory i had was that jiwon was involved in another previous relationship with someone (that she had gotten together with on her own) which turned out really shitty for her, as was hinted in the fic.

when she eventually gets out of that relationship and some time passes, her parents who genuinely care for her decide to step in at some point urging jiwon to let them arrange a marriage for her - with the daughter of a family friend that they believe would treat her better, because they trust that family. and jiwon, whos been kinda scared of trying to engage in any other relationship ever since, ends up agreeing.

gyuris family, on the other hand, is decidedly more traditionalist than jiwons. like the alphas from her side of the family are extremely courteous and all, but they still maintain a rigid hierarchy. gyuris kinda born during a point where shes learning of more liberal contemporary values which clash with her background, so thats a conflict she often struggles over.

her parents end up arranging a marriage for her with jiwon, because its a family friend that reached out to gyuris parents with the request and theyre really close with one another.

so gyuri and jiwon end up courting one another and [insert more content here] in addition to some [stuff about jiwon having entered into this voluntarily but gyuri having had no choice in the matter and how they affects how they treat one another]

the thing is in requesting for gyuri to be paired with jiwon, jiwons family has to allow gyuris family to arrange most of how the marriage will go about. and by tradition it means gyulwon need to legit consummate and mark one another. gyuri is kind of resigned but jiwons family tell jiwon that she can back out of this if she wants to - that they can call this entire thing off if she wants to.

jiwon doesnt, though. and thats partly because she doesnt want to let down her family . . . and partly because of gyuri.

and then that leads into the fic written :D

Steve Harrington x Reader

Introduction: Hello!!!! Is ya girl i haven't made a story in so long and i am just in love with Steve and billy from stranger things because who wouldn't ? and just everyone so i might make new stories of those characters. Olala but i'm not taking in any request! ): im sorry just have a busy life and I want to focus on one character at a time. Bare with me i'm rough it's been so long!!

Not sure how long the series will be put i want it to be long and cool haha. Everyone is alive bc i cant wait til season 4 !!! idk how i feel about it but here ya go this probably sucks sorry

warnings: drinking and drugs nothing too bad

Chapter 1:

Summary: After the events at Starcourt Mall, destroying the flayer monster and everyone still managed to come out alive, everyone who was everyone decided to go their own ways. The Byers family moved away along with El & Hopper. As a gift Hop fixed up his cabin for you to stay since it was somewhat destroyed by the Flyer monster. You work at a small bookstore in Starcourt Mall along with Nancy. town there's a small bar that you occasionally read your poetry to the drunken people, it was only for the weekend random people from the bar or around the neighborhood would read their poetry/stories, no one you knew went here.

“Hey Nac, is it alright with you if I head out now?”

looking down your watch it read 7:30 it was Friday and the mall closed at 9, you just want to get home have a shower possibly change clothes before heading down to Dragons Corner Bar. you found this bar when you were tripping on shrooms walking through some woods, thought you were walking in wonderland in the middle of October here a Hawkins. What's odd about the bar was it was hidden, the driveway is long and the parking was big enough to fit probably 100 cars but there's always people walking here. People who are not from your town. Every time you went you felt like you've entered dark ages of dragons, princesses, kings and queens, the entire bar was shaped as a castle.

“Yeah that's fine Y/N, go enjoy your night!” she said with a smile, she usually takes closing on Fridays and you'd take Saturday, as a win win, both satisfied.

As you were leaving the store looking around starcourt so many families laughing, kids running around at their playstation, mothers sitting all together chatting who knows what. A Lot of people from Hawkins high are always here but luckily for you, an exit next to your store. It was a blessing. Avoiding big crowds and possible interactions with people from school isn't what you want. You hated it. Weirdly enough your friends with Nancy who used to be popular, both of you guys are opposite personalities, you will like the odd one out considering you love rock/punk bands and wearing dark clothes, but you always made it look cute making some popular girls angry. You found it amusing.

Walking to your car wasn't much of a walk since they have a section for employees to park, another blessing this Mall has to offer. As you were unlocking your car, you heard the door the mall opened. You wiped your head around, only to find your favorite crush wearing his cute sailor uniform, ‘thank god i don't have a dress code’ you thought.

“Steve! Ahoy mate!!”

giving your best pirate voice and mimicking dancing around in excitement to seeing him, Steve on the other hand that it was bad and laughed.

You loved the way he laughed it was gentle and soft, not enough to roll your eyes but enough to keep making him laugh forever “Y/N enjoyed the attempt but that was bad!” Steve laughed clutching his stomach like he couldn't breathe

He was wiping away tears that went down from all the laughter” i must say cute little dance you did, ya missed me that much?” Steve said sending you a wink.

“are you done now? I tried okay don't give me your bs” you rolled your eyes trying to be sassy.

“Hey now i said it was cute” Steve said while taking off his shirt in front of you, not caring if anyone saw. You couldn't help but stare a little bit, he was fit, nice arms, toned, abs looked so nice you'd want to lick them. Snapping out of your trance of the boy, you went into your car, open the glove compartment to get a small bag containing rolled joints. picked one out throwing the bag onto your passenger seat, fumbling in your purse for a lighter. Groaning not having one on you.

“Need a light?” Steve said holding out his lighter already having the flame dancing for you

Leaning over to light the joint perfectly placed between your lips, inhaling and exhaling before handed it off to Steve, you always loved smoking with him. hell, he's the one that got you into it in the first place.

“Did you roll this?” Steve asked admiring the perfectly rolled joint like he's never seen one nicely rolled, twirling it around if with his fingers.

“Yeah, I usually like to roll a couple at a time and light one whenever” taking the joint from Steve, you briefly touch his hand, that alone gave you small butterflies, sending you shivers all throughout your body.

“How was work? It was pretty busy up at Scoops, god little kids are a bit annoying not knowing what flavor they want”

Steve said frustrated touching the back of his head “robin took care of most of them trying to get them to leave already” he said taking the joint from you inhaling, exhaling the smoke trying to make a ring. Failed but he tried.

“Work was okay, had a few customers come in to buy books, rearrange a small area in the back with Nancy. Were thinking about getting a rescue dog or cat to keep around the bookstore, so were making a little hang out area for people to read their books and have a nice time with animal”

you smiled at the thought of it coming together, you were more excited to adopting a kitty. Steve was looking at you smiling, admiring just how beautiful you are and sometimes he wonders if he should ask you out, he always had this crush on you but from all the rejections he's gotten asking you made him nervous.

He found it sexy just watching you hitting the joint, sometimes he wants to take your face in his hands and kiss you till your lips fall off but he couldn't he was too scared. He really wants to.

“Should get both? Don't you live at the cabin all alone? Get a cat for the bookstore since they are low maintenance and they can take care of themselves”

“I actually haven't thought of that, being alone in the cabin doesn't get lonely, im used to it, peaceful. Besides i asked Nancy to move in since she wants to be away from her house” you took a couple more hits off of the joint before burning it out. Looking towards the sky above trying to look at the stars but it was cloudy so nothing was out.

“I can take you to a shelter and help you pick a cat or dog, whichever you'd want” Steve said giving you a small grin like a little small boy, ugh you thought to yourself, sometimes you think he likes you but you're sure he flirts with every girl.

“Yes i would love that, maybe get food after? My treat” you said singly leaning over to him giving him the biggest smile ever

“Yeah we can eat burgers and milkshakes, how does that sound? I know a place we can go” Steve said while getting down off of your car hood, stretching showing a little of his abs. ‘Fuck’ you thought to yourself. ‘Why am I like this’ thinking this made you groan in annoyance hat Steve picked up

“ whats up Y/N ? watcha got going on tonight? Steve asking while fixing and trying to style his fluffy hair that you oh so loved.

“Gonna go home, refresh myself and then read a book, easy night for a long day” you lied to him, you didn't want no one knowing where your little secret bar was, you didn't want anyone to hear about your poetry.

Especially Steve, sometimes you write about your feelings about him but still you'd rather hide it and not have anyone know about it except well for Nancy she’d know about the crush you have for Steve for awhile now, she says it shows all over my face whenever he's around. Never got what she meant but never cared.

“Sounds relaxing to me, i'm going to meet Dustin and everyone for a drive a Quarry, ill see you around princess” Steve said while getting into his car, rolling down his window flashing you the prettiest smile “i hope you enjoy your night Y/N” waving to you while driving off.

“I wish you'd kiss me” you said out loud but no one but you heard that. Getting into your car you drove off.

Entering dragons corner everyone knew you, pretty much you will come here to escape being alone at home and nights when your thoughts got too much and a drink is what you need.

“Hey Y/N welcome back!”

Tom yelled from behind the corner waving at you.

“Hey Tom! Hows Betta?”

you smiled and waved taking a seat next to Lewis the other bar owner. Betta is tom's wife for over 40 years! You wish you find your soulmate and be together long, sounded cheesy but it's something you've always wanted. “Whats up girl” Lewis said going in for a fist bump.

“Betta doing good, she's been out of town visiting her mother and sisters” he said while mixing up your usual drink, dirty pina colada. not one for beer because of the taste and itll reminded you too much of your stupid father. “You miss her? Whens shes coming back?” you asked wondering when she’ll be back, she treated you like her own daughter after some poetry sessions you'd cry so badly in the bathroom, since you became a regular and pretty cool, they gave you a key for the back office that's so quiet and away from all the noise.

“She should be coming tomorrow, she's been gone for 3 weeks! Not having her around the bar have been so quiet” he said coming around the bar, taking a seat next to you.

“Here made your favorite, added a lil too much of alcohol but it should be okay” tom said giving you the drink with 3 cherries on top because he knows how much cherries are your favorite.

Taking a gulp from the drink you can slightly tell the more alcohol in this, burned your throat a bit but the chillness of the drink helped.

“The drink is wonderful and much needed” enjoying the drink while looking around its a full house, lots of people. Just thinking about being on the stage made you sick but thats why having one dirty pina colada was enough

“Open mic is gonna be starting soon, i think Lewis is getting the mic set up” he said standing up from his chair stretching and sighing

“It's been awhile since we got this much people, betta would be happy”

You had your journal with you with all of your notes of places, people you meet, drugs you've tried, and all the poetry you wrote. It's something you don't want to ever lose.

“Can I go first this time?” I asked nicely, giving him my biggest pout.

“Yeah i gotchu, want another drink? Virgin?” asked before wanting to add anything, he knew you drove here, doesn't want you to be impaired while driving, he cares about you too.

“Yeah, thanks I appreciate it” accepting the drink while Lewis stands on stage getting everyone's attention.

“Welcome welcome our insomniac and alcoholics…..

Earning a chuckled from the crowd.

Welcome to Dragons Corner, tonight we are hoisting our open mic and everyone who is everyone is able to come up here, thank you all for coming and enjoy your evening!!!’’ earning a loud cheer from everyone and having the small fainted of jazz music played, they like to keep it quiet when people are talking but not having any dead silence could get boring and make the readers nervous too.

“We'd like to start off with our favorite writers Y/N!!” Lewis said clapping towards my direction to motion me on the stage having everyone cheering for me made all my jumping nervous calm again.

“Hello everyone, im Y/N and i will be reading some sort of love poem for someone that i wish would notice me, alright here we go…

When i think of you i think of all the good things life has to offer

like coffee on an early morning

the first sight of the sunset or sunrise

Or when someone falls in love for the first time

The way you smile

The way you laugh

The way your hair is poofy and curly

Sharing smokes, secrets, food, love

You finished and stepped off the staged, everyone snapping their fingers no one clapped during open mic it was just more quieter and better. “Who is this lover boy?hmmm” Lewis said walking down the bar and meeting your gaze

“This kid named Steve, i went to school with him. He was this big king of Hawkins high before Billy came into town and took that title. Steves sweet and nice. He's always looking out for me”

you said smiling just thinking of him made your stomach want to do flips, just something about im made you feel so alive, he’d always make sure you were okay.

“Does he feel the same?” asked while cleaning around being busy but still talking to you

“I'm not sure, well i don't know, i wish i knew..” just the thought of him liking someone else made you sick and sad. You just wanted to be his.

“You're too wonderful Y/N, i bet he does feel the same” giving you a pat on the shoulder and giving you a warm smile the one that says ‘you got this’

You let out the biggest sigh and decided to head out. “Alright Lewis, Tom i'll see you guys tomorrow night!” waving at both of them as you were leaving the magical castle. Stepping outside was a little more chiller than before but luckily you dressed warm. Turning on your car playing fleetwood mac.

Returning to your cabin, you've decorated it with tiny lights so when you've come home in the middle of the night you can see where you're going and not fall and hit yourself like last time before buying the lights, recalling the memory and the pain you just glad it wasn't anything major. Although the figure waiting on your porch was something you didn't expect.

“Steve?” you questioned the figure it was dark you couldn't tell who it was

“Hey Y/N..” he replied with a little sadness in his voice something you notice right away

“Lets go inside, got something on your mind?” asked curiosity hoping it wasn't anything but bad but just wanted a friend

“I thought you were here like you said earlier but no one answered so I waited, it was only an hour, i dropped Dustin off and i wanted to see you again..” he smiled towards your direction while being distracted with your living room and how nice it looks.

“It's so cozy here” he said eyes wandering around can't seem to be fixed on something

“I try to make it as cozy as possible since it's just me, i need my home relaxing environment. It helps alot” you said while disappearing into your room to change into pjs, you hadn't realized you forgot to put on pants because your tipsy mind forgot about Steve

“Cute butt” Steve said while checking out your ass, couldn't help himself but also want to embarrass you. Realizing this you ran to your room to grab a pair of shorts

“My bad, had small drink” your face redder than a tomato at this point. Steve on the other hand found it adorable you blushed really dark red

“Soo steve why are you here and no home?” completely forgot about why he was waiting for you

“Well i wanted to see a movie but not alone and so i thought of you, i have movies we could watch” steve taking out 2 movies from his jacket and handing it to you

“Halloween 2 and Alien, hmmm horror type? Lets watch alien i love Ripley” popped the movie in and went over to the couch where Steve started to get comfy

“Would you want to stay? It's late and I wouldn't want you to drive” you asked hopefully it'll be a yes since you could possibly ask to cuddle later on. You looked over to Steve lost in thought but snapped back to reality quickly when you asked him to stay

“If you don't mind, we can make pancakes tomorrow” he said with a soft smile

“Yeah i'd love that”
