The camera tuned in to a girl wearing pink, who then furrowed her brows with a determined grin. The livestream already had thirteen thousand viewers, even though it just started, and comments began flooding in.

"Hey, hey, hey! What's up, fuckers?! It's your girl, Miu here! Currently with Rantaro, Kaede, Ryoma, Kirumi, Angie, Tenko, Korekiyo, Kokichi, Gonta, Kaito, Tsumugi, Kiibo, Shuichi, Maki, and Himiko, who I'm sure you all recognize from the channel, at the convention we mentioned we'd be going to!!"

hii! can i ask how people think butches are privileged?

i've just heard the take a couple times that women (+ adjacent) are oppressed for being feminine, rather than being women. it seems like a small difference but some follow that logic and claim that masculine and butch women *aren't* oppressed for their supposed proximity to the patriarchy. take that with a grain of salt because i dont have sources of that take, but for something similar you could observe the stereotypes of 'not like other girls,' where young women who prefer to dress casually and have men friends are said to have internalized misogyny. ultimately this serves to remove blame from men in perpetuating patriarchal values, and instead places it on gnc women, which is just a progressive way of punishing any woman who dares to be Too Masculine. genuinely ty for the question i needed to organize a few of these thoughts.

#and this stems from a misconception where people who post this take online dont have much experience w real misogyny #and think it primarily manifests in their classmates saying their makeup is too extra #which is a dick move but is tame compared to shit like barriers to education. underfunded womens sports.#the whorephobia coming from alpha male podcasts. the wage gap. etc etc #(note that this doesnt apply to only cis women. im bigender many butches arent women.#i know a irl transfem whos been called a not like other girls girl way too much #and speaking of transmisogyny theres a parallel conversation about trans women who also experience misogyny but are percieved as #closer to the patriarchy.) ok i think that about sums it up
