“Alexander, I have been waiting for you to ask me that. How about we put that dinner off until we know each other a little better, okay? We've only known each other for a week, we should give it some time.” They spent the next 3 weeks getting to know each other and Alec had never been happier. Alec's mom wasn't all that supportive but Alec couldn't care less. Alec could tell that while Maryse wasn't even trying to accept Alec and Magnus's relationship, Robert was trying. Alec was going to go to Magnus's apartment when he and his mother got into a bad argument which left him angry. Alec had made a promise to himself when they started this that he would never risk taking his anger out on Magnus. Alec texted Magnus that he wasn't going to be visiting him that day but couldn't say why. Alec didn't want Magnus hating Maryse before they even met. Alec didn't expect how worried Magnus would be because of the text until he was training. “Alexander, is everything okay with you?” Alec was given déjà vu when Magnus walked into the training room while Alec was punching the bag, shirtless. “I’m ok, I just wanted to be alone today that's all.” Magnus seemed to believe him and walked away after giving Alec a kiss on the cheek. Alec went back to talking frustrations and anger out on the punching bag until his mom walked in.

I was listening to the stripped version of Colors by Halsey and all I can think of is Magnus and Malec in 3B.

Magnus was blue, (heck even his magic was blue) he was the high warlock of Brooklyn, respected, and magic

But now, everything is grey, magic gone, status gone, home gone.

‘I’ve only felt religion when I’ve lied with you, he said you’ll never be forgiven till your boys are too, but I’m still waking every morning but it’s not with you’

Magnus isn’t himself, he’s depressed, closed off. Magnus is everything to Alec, but he sees he’s not himself, he realises he’s hurting.

‘And now he’s so devoid of colour he don’t know what it means’

Magnus is depressed and Alec doesn’t know what to do, he wants to help but he doesn’t know how.

And now I’m covered in the colours pulled apart at the seams

Magnus has unlocked Alec, broken down his walls he so desperately tried to put up, the facade, the act, he has helped Alec be his true, kindhearted, beneficent, loving man. Alec has fallen in love, and fallen in love hard .

‘You’re ripped at every edge but you’re a masterpiece’

Magnus has lost more, hurt more and felt more than most people can even fathom, yet he still is magical, he still is kind and generous, the fact that he’s been torn apart so many times, and yet still manages to be selfless makes him even more captivating, unbelievable and,

Magic, with or without powers.

Der Buchschnitt ist Gold 🥰 💓want to reread: Ehrlich gesagt würde ich gerne Mal wieder die Dawsons Creek Bücher lesen, die ich habe 🥰 💓 Buchverfilmung: 🌺Natürlich geht nichts über Back to the future. Die Bücher sind okay, aber können lange nicht an die Filme ran. Gut, es ist hier Buch zum Film. Also sei es verziehen. 🌺Ah, "Stolz und Vorurteil" wer liebt nicht Matthew MacFayden als Mr Darcy? Oder Colin Firth als Fitzwilliam Darcy? Sind schon Kult. 🌺 Natürlich ist auch "Love, Simon" eine schöne Verfilmung. 💓💓 Und ihr? Findet ihr von vornherein dass das Buch sowieso besser ist als der Film oder geht ihr unvoreingenommen an die Sache? Ich gebe dem Film eine Chance, weil es oftmals einfach auch von den Schauspielern abhängt. Können sie die Magie des Buches so aufnehmen und weiterleiten, wie erhofft oder sind sie nur Statisten, die einem faden Skript folgen? Selbstredend gibt es eine Menge an schlechten Verfilmungen, aber es sind doch hin und wieder welche dabei, die wirklich hervorstechen. Alec is saying ‘’I heard relationships take effort.’’ but if you listen to him really carefully he literally says ‘’Magnus, I really like you and I don’t know what do with these feelings and also I don’t know how this relationship thing work so please be patient with me and don’t let me do stupid things that could hurt us both.’’
