I was having a lovely conversation with my mom today at the dinner table while eating tacos. We were talking about fictional and celebrity hunks. She listed Chris Evans, Thor and Chris Pratt. I listed Harrison Ford/ Han Solo and Bucky Barnes.

“Who else do you find as a hunk?” My beloved mami (mom for Spanish, yes I still call her mami, let me act like a kid around her 🙄) asked.

I snapped my fingers and pointed to nothing but air “Hunter from The Bad Batch.”

My amazing Mami looked at me and said “That’s a cartoon character” She gave me a look and said “that’s…weird.”

I then showed her a picture of Hunter (even though she has seen him before). She then said “He looks like Rambo.”

My somewhat uncultured ass looked up Rambo.

I may have...mentioned a fankid a little while back (ｕ_ｕ*) here's the little squirt themselves, our very own Newt Utonium! The name is short for Newton, as in Isaac, who is often considered the grandfather of science (the professor's idea ofc) but they prefer to go by just Newt!

Just like their mother they came from an egg, which Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup were very excited and curious about! Especially since they were born 5 years old and at the same time, they were looking forward to interacting with a new sibling. And a baby at that! They spent a lot of time with the egg fawning over it, discussing what gender they hoped it would be and what they'd be like once hatched!

And ofc Utonium is just as wonderful a father with Newt as he was when the girls came into his life! 💖💖💖

Saw some of the grossest parenting today in the bus

#this dad was on his phone the whole bus ride ok #and his two kids were screaming arguing #at most he would periodically tell them to lower their voice while still on his phone #one time he told them to stop the one sitting next to him hit him 😭 and he went back to look at his phone with no reaction #my guy something is seriously wrong with you #your kids are screaming at each other doesn't even matter all that much that we are in the bus rn #theyre not just being loud kids you need to do smt!!!!!! its too early for this!!! i could hear them even with my noise cancelling headphone #anyways #ive never seen smt like this #and i work in a mall i see lots of parents and kids #idk smt really disgusting about a parent just not even interested in engaging with their kids #dude no wonder they're loud they probably want ur attention #also this one lady once who came in wjth a big stroller #and the store where i work has little moving rooms between the aisle so this woman decided TO LEAVE THE STROLLER WITH A KID INSIDE AT THE #FRONT OF THE STORE #the kids started crying and his hrother (toddler not in the stroller but not following the mom for some reason) started exploring and i #i had to watch them until the mom came back but like the woman just left them there???#i just stepped in but what if i hadnt??? lady?????????#i see lots of cute interactions of course #like this little girl who came with who i think is her grandpa and he asked me to help her chose her next manga read 😭💖#i basically work in a book/toy store #theres a lot of candy as well the kids love it #idk i like seeing kids being happy ok it is healing #like all the kids sitting on the floors deep in their books while the parents shop 😭😭😭 makes me smile every time top tier behavior

Saturday Six (Stuff)

The big bday was Thursday and it was pretty OK! Fairly relaxed, nice lunch, good store cake, pretty store flowers, and a funny card.♡(•ི̛ᴗ•̛)ྀ

Got the hairs on my head whacked off, and now I'm back to my butch looking self.(•̀⌄•́)

My BFF paid a lot of money to send a "best friend" cake that was cutely boxed with fake flowers and candy. She paid extra to have it delivered on my birthday. It didn't happen. When I did get it and try it, it was probably the worst cake I've ever had in my entire life. The cake was very dry. The frosting had melted and was really weird tasting. And the candies on top of the cake were super glued on there. It was just all over not nice tasting. The concept was really cute, and fun though. The Dudette said the cheap gummy bear on top was OK. And the caramels were chewey but fine too. I had fun opening it, at least.(๑•́ ω •̀๑)

I've been trying out a lot of new recipes lately. Some from tiktok and some just from recipe sites. Many of them have been incorporated into our regular menu calendar rotation.(っ˘ڡ˘ς)

I went with a friend (my local best friend? Idk lol) to put up business flyers, and just mosey around. The weather cooperated, and gave us a nice morning for it, and we had a delicioso taco truck lunch. I gotta say, today was a good day.(；-◞౪◟-)

I am not in the path of the eclipse and I'm kinda bummed about it. (.﹒︣︿﹒︣.)

my mom’s friend sent a little bunch of dried lavender for me bc she remembered i love lavender and she grows it in her garden 🥹💜

#these little things make me feel so warm and appreciated and Heard and seen in the best way #btw this weekend has been SO busy but positively #went to pizza/dessert/paint in the park on friday w work girlies then yesterday went for the Zagreb myths & legends tour (which was #honestly PHENOMENAL and soooo much fun if any of my mutuals ever come to croatia you guys have to lmk and i’ll take you on that tour) then #this morning i was UP and running at 7.45 to go pick up Leo bestie and then picked up aziza (my dog) and we had a 2 hr walk in the park #then went back to mom’s had lunch and now i did some laundry cleaned my room and washed my hair and i am WIPED #however!!! we have plans tonight we’re going to drive to a mountain top to watch the perseids!!!!!#i got snacks and a bottle of rosé ehehehe i can’t waaaaait 🥹 i love this weekend. and my room smells like lavender. 💖🎆
