why does it make sense? from the second the plane starts to go down, lottie reaches out for laura lee. when lottie is first "possessed", laura lee is the one to wake her up. laura lee is the one to listen to, believe in, and even encourage lottie's visions. without laura lee, lottie wouldn't buy as much or as quickly into the wilderness stuff, and there would be no show as we know it! why does it make sense romantically though? starting with the many parallel with shaunajackie (which aren't even canon but rarely questioned), we have two girls that are part of the group yet stand isolated for one reason or another, coming together at the worst time in their lives, trusting each other at their most vulnerable, it's a tragedy off course, laura lee's loss changes lottie and haunts her 25 years later! they have matching forehead scars! lottie wore laura lee's dress and laura lee's ghost saved her life!

and why does it compel me? well i'm a lesbian first of all. they're both so beuatiful. they had great, tender but intense chemistry even thought they didn't have that many scenes it left a huge mark. i'm a lover of religious imagery in gay romance and what better than a prophet and a priest? where else will you get that kind of homoerotic devotion? sometimes i'm a tragedy enjoyer, plus it leaves a lot of space to dream about alternative universes and what ifs and god i love doing that. they're just perfect to me. #1 yellowjackets ship to ME

Cas babe, I'm royally fucked. The drama that is surrounding me rn is so fucking unreal.

So let me start from the very beginning, so I m a 16 yr old girl and i hv this really close guy friend let's call him J, so J and I have been friends since forever, like I don't even remember when I first met him. I have known him since I was born , like I have never known a life without J. And i love him like a brother.

Ok so fast forward a few years and now we're both 16, and we met this girl, Lottie she was a transfer student and we ( J , Lottie and I) had a few classes together. And slowly we develop a friendship.

Now the thing is that J has a crush on Lottie and he told me as soon as he realised it and me being the great friend that I am have subtly been wingwomaning him .

So, last week after English class (only Lottie and I have this class) , Lottie asked me out. Yeah, and I'm straight af but I'm an ally. So I was like what? But she was like i thought u were queer coz u give very strong queer vibes which is kinda true because I have a MAJOR crush on lily Rose depp and i hv always said that she could run me over with her car and I'd thank her and beg her to fuck me, (yeah I have issues.) And I also have bi friend who i jokingly call my wife bcoz when she came out ppl were being very homophobic and i thought that was the only way to support her. (i was 14 ok i don't judge me)

So back to Lottie I wa obviously s so very awkward I was like ohhh. And i told her in the politest way i could manage that I m straight af (bcoz i am) and I'm kinda flustered that she has a crush on me bcoz she is really pretty. And she got very embarassed and started apologising and I was like no no it's fine , it's totally fine. Yeah but she also kinda requested me not to tell anyone else that she's a lesbian bcoz she's not out to everyone, and I was like Of course .And now she has been trying to avoid me for the few days which anyone in her position would do tbh, so I don't blame her for that.

Ok so now bcoz Lottie is avoiding me she's also avoiding J by extension coz we both r usually hanging out together. So i already told u that J has a crush on Lottie so he was obviously not happy that she was avoiding us and i couldn't tell him why bcoz OBVIOUSLY.

And a little note abt my best friend he is extremely fucking extra , he is the biggest drama queen in the world like Sirius Black level of drama. So now his dumbass decided that he will ask Lottie out, and bcoz he is so fucking extra abt everything he is thinking of using the help of his teammates ( he's on the football team) to ask her out after the football match next Friday.

And in trying to convince him that he should not do it, but when he asks why i don't have any solid reason because it's not my place to tell him abt Lottie. So he's really planning everything to make the proposal perfect, and I'm stressing tf out.

I love J and i don't want to see him get hurt bcoz obviously Lottie is gonna say no, and on top of that it would be kinda humiliating bcoz the entire school and another school would be there. And I'm also worried that Lottie will think that I did this in purpose to embarrass her so now I'm stuck in a huge fucking dilemma.

And ngl I find this situation extremely fucking hilarious BCOZ WHAT IN THE WATTPAD LEVEL OF SHIT IS THIS? IS THIS SITUATION EVEN REAL? LIKE DOES THIS KINDA SHIT EVEN HAPPEN IRL???

pls help me bcoz I don't know what tf I'm going to do and i hv to do something before Friday or 😭😭😭.

So first, I want to say I think you were really sweet with Lottie. It sounds like you're a super kind person, and a wonderful ally <3

Honestly, I would probably talk to Lottie (if possible) and tell her that J is about to ask her out in front of the entire school, and ask her if it's okay for you to tell him that she's simply not interested. The reason I think this is the best option is because, either way Lottie will find out about J's feelings, so you can't really prevent that. This way, you're preventing embarrassment for both Lottie and J. Also, you're possibly protecting Lottie from attention by telling J you just "heard Lottie is not interested" because that doesn't out Lottie. AND even if J doesn't listen to you, you've helped by both preparing Lottie for what will happen and by sort of...introducing J to the idea that she's not interested.

So yeah. I think this is your best bet.

adult Jackie verse (aka "Jackie Survives") information (concurrent with my #v: small town weirdos verse for 2021 timeline)

Everything is canon up through the ending events of S1. Episode 10, except that when Jackie stubbornly goes to sleep outside, she begins to experience the effects of frostbite. She hallucinates being welcomed inside, not by Shauna, but by Lottie. Pulled back into the cabin and given warmth, and hot cocoa.

Except, it wasn't a hallucination -- Lottie wakes before the cold snap has truly settled its blanket hold over the wilderness and brings Jackie inside. The cocoa is actually some of the team's "tea" with Lottie's blood as a prayer and offering to the wilderness. Jackie doesn't wake immediately, but she slowly comes back from the brink -- but suffers permanent nerve damage in her left arm due to the necrosis of the frostbite. Lottie declares that Jackie has been given a second chance by the wilderness, and that it admired her bravery to face the cold, but wolves are stronger in a pack than alone. Almost as a sign, a lone, weak wolf is found frozen and used for meat in place of the girl.

Despite being saved and having a change of heart (she owes Lottie her life), Jackie can't bring herself to do excessive hard labor due both to her prior refusal to learn and her weakened arm. But she helps as best as she can. When Shauna's baby comes, Jackie offers her damaged arm to her best friend because she isn't bothered by the girl's vice grip while in pain.

Jackie waits until some time after Shauna has recovered from at least the physical trauma of the baby to admit to her that the night of the Doomcoming, after having sex with Travis, she realized she might not be attracted to men. That she might have been controlling and overbearing on Shauna as a way to distance herself from her lesbian attractions. She doesn't want to pressure her best friend in any way, but she wants to get closer to Shauna in this new context, if she'll allow it.

When the girls get their first opportunity for cannibalism with the hunt and Javi, she is reluctant but overwhelmed by her hunger. Jackie continues to survive, mostly by the grace of her peers, but also she falls along the line of believing in Lottie's abilities while trying not to let that alienate Shauna. In fact, she tries to help protect Shauna and keep her grounded in their new reality.

After the girls are rescued, she returns to Wiskayok and breaks up with Jeff. Jackie also does her best to stay friends with Shauna, but the return is too difficult, and the realizations about herself, her sexuality, and the way she's changed make her eager to leave Wiskayok. She goes to college and eventually drifts apart from all the other girls. Jackie eventually attends law school and becomes a full-fledged lawyer. And when Charlotte Matthews is released from her psych hold, she reconnects with Jackie, who becomes a legal advisor for Camp Green Pine.

When the other Yellowjackets come to the compound, that's the first time Jackie reconnects with any of the others in those 25 years. She doesn't attend the school reunion. During the hunt at the compound, Jackie plays along for Lottie's sake but when Shauna pulls the Queen, she carries her hunting knife in her weakened hand due to her reluctance to kill.

In her spare time, she has also become very passionate about photography as a hobby. Jackie wants to help herself and others catalogue those fleeting moments that are taken for granted. She does a lot of digital photography, but also has a collection of film and polaroid cameras she uses for more unique occasions.

She's also a vegan and this is very important for reasons I'll explain in other posts as I develop this. Jackie has diagnosed anxiety disorders, has medication to manage it (thanks Mrs. Taylor for that inherited cocktail of bad brain vibes ("my mom's on like 10 types of downers")), and occasionally smokes to relieve stress from work.

- first of all taivan in the sex ed scene hehe my girlies more pre crash moments of them PLEASE, i’d love a flashback to like their friendship/start of relationship

- lottie being horrified at misty showing up at the cult so real. imagine you’re just trying to vibe w/ your homoerotic friend then said friend’s other homoerotic friend shows up? a rough day

- “it honestly would’ve been better if she just had sex with him” SHAUNA MY BITCH WORST MOTHER OF THE YEAR

- mari saying she hopes shauna doesn’t die top five things not to say when your friend is about to give birth with no medical care in the middle of fucking no where

- nat was wounding me this episode, she has so much guilt and hates herself for having survived its just awful

- van rightly pissed about tai’s sleepwalking (especially kiss). she clearly does not want to be dragged into this and honestly valid but bc she’s van she’s gonna let herself be dragged in

- “you’re married taissa there’s no us anymore” everything van says to tai just leads me to want to know more about how their relationship ended bc clearly she’s not happy that it did

- misty being unable to focus on the birth bc of crystal was so sad, the bit where she saw the blood on her hands that was intercut with crystal’s death was great very nice scene

- lottie’s psychiatrist is so sketchy. like the encouragement of the visions is so bizarre and just bad vibes

- thinking that “it” influenced travis, nat, and misty to return to lottie’s life

- “it was part of us” “the god of that place, we did terrible things in it’s name” WHAT DID THEY FUCKING DO also furthering my agenda that the antler queen is it’s own spirit/entity rather than one of the girls

- tai trying to flirt with van BITCH YOUR WIFE IS IN THE HOSPITAL YOUR KID IS GOD KNOWS WHERE

- TAI PUTTING THE DEER BONE NECKLACE IN SHAUNA’S HAND YEAH THAT’S THE GOOD STUFF like it saved van maybe it will save shauna and i mean hey she didn’t die so

- jackie’s voice, i knew she’d have some sort of presence during birth and definitely liked this especially given it was in the dream

- “yeah the past where we thought being happy was something that was possible not what happened” OW?????

- van having given up on love </3 her relationship with tai really did a number on her huh. representation for the girlies that never get over anything ever

- lisa giving nat the fish and that whole conversation was so good their friendship is important to me

- jeff just fucking jamming to “fuck the police” was hilarious. yes they need to tune down the jeff this season but i did enjoy this bit

- this is not plot related but honestly so glad the baby did not survive bc those few minutes of baby crying were making me insane i cannot handle the sound of babies crying (one of many reasons i will never have children lol)

- loved loved loved shauna’s monologue to creepy cop man, just saying out loud that literally her whole life is how it is because of guilt just UGH melanie did amazingly (as always)

- dream lottie being weird with the baby so fun so good “we need to feed” —> “he needs to feed”

- callie continuing to be so proud of herself about lying to the cops this is her season for real

- i should’ve known the baby was doomed the second it started to nurse like that and shauna being so loving to it were my real red flags that something was weird

- “if you see any barrels of kool aid powder in there consider me on call for an extraction” van i love you. also her being like lets leave and just go to ihop or something

- misty asking if taivan is back together she’s so real for that

- the moment of van seeing lottie and lottie seeing that they’re all there ugh i cannot wait to see the interactions between them all next week

- OK dream baby eating time: my favorite part was nat, the way she was wiping the blood from her mouth when she saw shauna, the guilt in her eyes, just perfect. also ben being the only other one who looked fully human/guilty in the scene. and then the rest of them being so animalistic i just loved it. bummed we didn’t get real baby eating but this is a good compromise i think

- shauna saying “why can’t you hear him crying” was so fucking heartbreaking sophie nelisse needs all the awards. i did not think i would be satisfied with the baby being stillborn but i loved the way they did it. i do hope that next episode we do see the body, specifically for one reason and that is i want shauna to keep seeing jackie in the baby. like she looks at it once and sees jackie’s eyes, next look it has her nose, etc. maybe even give it some sort of animal features at some point. i just want her to not be able to look at the corpse and see a baby. i want her to look at it and see jackie and her own guilt. next week’s episode is called “burial” so i’m assuming they will be disposing of the body and i want shauna to look at it as it’s being dispose of and just see jackie laying there instead. do you see my vision? i think it would be very fun. either that or they actually eat the baby. also we better get some placenta eating next episode bc not eating it would be a huge waste

this might be the hardest question im gonna answer in my entire life.. *proceeds to respond with the longest word vomit ever known to mankind*

1.) i am a certified lottie matthews gurlie : )) she's just been such an interesting character throughout the series like i never really know what's going on with her (im pretty sure pookie doesn't either even if she insists she does lol.. istg every lottie scene is just me being absolutely flabbergasted and in a constant state of “WTF?”) and i know they all experienced varying degrees of trauma (i dont wanna turn this into a competition of who's had it the hardest pre and post crash) but i think lottie's character has one of the most tragic storyline, esp her life post-crash

RESIDENT COLD GIRL JACKIE TAYLOR! this gurl was serving nothing but iconic vibes and lesbian comphet behavior and i am here for it. i was honestly surprised to learn that a lot of ppl dont like jackie cause she was a bit of a spoiled brat and while i do agree (cz she is LMFAO pooks literally died of pettiness) i feel like it's not necessary to paint her as either black or white cause she's also got a really complex character. like sure she has her mean girl moments (mostly because of the environment she was raised in and i think she wasn't really aware of that trait until shauna brought it up during their fight) but she's rarely ever malicious and i think she would've outgrown that trait given the chance. but also it could just be because im a sucker for mean-girl-highschool-queen-bee characters making me a huge jackie taylor apologist !

3.) misty quigley. no words of appreciation for her—maybe her (tho unplaced and is often expressed in the wrong ways)—loyalty and dependability, still tho she was literally just straight up batshit insane.. she killed 2 people (??), is responsible for them being trapped in the wilderness, and honestly speaking needs to be admitted to the ward cause that girl is psychotic but adult misty was so funny, she immediately became a fav.
