Oneshot to go along with it below
Word count: 727
CW: withdrawal, addiction, self harm, underage drinking [they're 13]
Stan was seated on the back porch of Henrietta's house and looked down at his trembling hands. He was going cold turkey for Kyle but ever since he cut off drinking he felt sick. He got headaches, he felt worse, he wanted to die. He needed some alcohol just to get the edge off and feel better. He didn't want to upset Kyle but it was so hard to quit. He turned at the sound of the sliding door. It was Henrietta standing there with a bottle in her hand. He couldn't help but perk up and the thought of her having alcohol.
She sat next to him and sipped the bottle of white wine.
He looked at her wide eyed.
“My Mom already drank half of it. I'm not addicted or anything. Not yet anyway.” She laughed at herself. She held out the bottle and offered it to Stan.
He took the bottle immediately and gulped it. It wasn't as strong as whisky but it was better than nothing. He drank it like it was water. He started to breathe better once the alcohol buzz settled into his alcohol-dependent body. Tears filled his eyes.
“kyle's gonna fucking kill me.”
“Why?”
“He hates that I drink.”
“He knows you have an addiction right?”
“Yeah of course.”
“He sounds like a total dick.”
“He just cares about me.”
“If he actually gave a fuck he would care about you going through withdrawal.”
He hiccupped and wiped his eyes.
“You're not the only kid with addictions you know, you're not alone.” She raised her arm and showed her scars from cutting herself.
Stan glanced at her.
“How do your friends feel about it?”
“They understand. They were scared at first but then they bought me cleaner shit to use and proper bandages so my scars won't get infected.”
Stan furrowed his eyebrows, “but, isn't that just encouraging it?”
“No, they're just creating a safer way for me to cut. It's harm reduction. It's not always possible to just drop out of an addiction immediately so might as well do it safer rather than privately with a dirty pencil sharpener.”
“I guess that's a good point.” He took another sip if wine.
“My friends aren't like yours. I can't always talk about everything with them.”
“Hmm.”
“Henrietta?”
“Yeah?”
“Do you cut because you're fat?”
“What!? No!! Why would you say that!?”
Stan flinched, “I donno, I'm sorry.”
“I don't have a fucking problem with my body, society just hates fat people!! I think I look fucking awesome but people see me and assume the fucking worst! It pisses me off!!”
Henrietta took a deep breath and clenched her fists.
“No it's because I just- I get so sad that I feel like nothing. And I just can't seem to wake up from it without cutting myself. It makes me feel alive. I'd rather hurt than sit in the dark abyss of nothingness in my soul. It's so boring doing nothing and feeling like shit. I need to fucking express how I feel or I'm gonna scream.”
“Yeah, I get it. I- I got pressured into drinking because I just needed an escape somehow and that's what they suggested to me and-” he hiccupped “I didn't mean to.”
Henrietta placed a hand on his shoulder.
“I know you didn't.”
“It's kinda fucked up but it’s beautiful I think. Sometimes I take pictures of my wrists because I think it's pretty. With the blood and all. That's fucked up isn't?”
“A little yeah. I can't remember the last time I didn't feel like shit. It's been nearly a year. I don't know when it's gonna stop.”
Henrietta nodded.
“It's weird. I start to feel okay again for a while, I feel really really good, or just get pissy again but I'm passionate and I'm not numb. But then it just comes back full force and I go back to feeling nothing. It drives me insane. I think I'm going insane. These emotions are normal. At least I don't enjoy them. Even when I do feel passionate, it's too much and I can't sleep. Like, at all.”
“Wow.”
“It's a lot. Point is, you're sick and you need to just embrace that and treat yourself more kindly. And if Kyle gets pissy about it I'll punch him in the nuts.”
Stan smiled.
“Okay.”

Was just randomly thinking about it, how would you rank all the Disney Princess movies? Like from favorite to least favorite, numbered list, or like letter (A, B, C) tiers?
Tumblr media
I hope it’s okay to talk about some of the placement reasons, we feel pretty passionate about this. Especially ones that are absolute favorites or might surprise others.
There is too much that has already been said about Beauty and the Beast. All I am going to say is that it’s one of my favorite movies, that I could watch over and over again. It’s also my favorite romance story in the franchise 👉👈
Little Mermaid also has been praised a lot too, so we will keep it brief. Ariel is my favorite Disney princess, because I love how flawed she is, and as a queer person I can relate to her relationship with her father with my own parents. This movie and Beauty and the Beast feel so queer to me, and we are glad that Howard Ashman’s influence and involvement were strong in them both.
Yes I put Cinderella 3 at Godtier I love this movie sm, and we know it didn’t need to exist, but we are glad someone made their Cinderella fanfic a reality. It breathes more characters into the prince (he’s the best Disney prince I will die on that hill), her step sister Anastasia, and even the king. Her step mom is even more of a threat in this movie too. Also this movie looks really good for just being direct to DVD. This movie also pokes fun of its classic fairytale ways, but in a more charming way like Enchanted does.
Sleeping Beauty is very high because this movie is fucking gorgeous, *eats all the bg art up* I also love how petty and bitchy Maleficent is. Also love that the movies real heroines are the three fairies, and you don’t get much movies were three older women get to be the protagonists.
In our opinion we like Frozen 2 better than one. We just like the settings and atmosphere more. We like some songs more too, like Into the Unknown and Show Yourself. I’m a simple queer person with the mental illness, so we really relate to Elsa, so we like that she has more focus in this film. Still this movie is kinda of double edged sword because some side characters like Kristoff and Olaf are actually so annoying in this movie, I never thought much of these characters before, but now I despise them. Also they took out some things that would have made this movie so much better, like a romantic song between Kristoff and Anna that honestly makes their relationship more endearing. Also the fucking castle would have been destroyed in the end, making this tale of colonialism much more symbolic. They weren’t brave enough to do that tho, or who knows higher ups probably didn’t like the idea.
Speaking of what might have been, I wish men didn’t meddle and take over a woman’s vision when it comes to Brave. It’s another movie were we feel in our opinion it could have been better than what we got.
I’m not gonna say much about Pocahontas, because it’s not really our place. We will just say as a child it never was a favorite of ours. I don’t like how the human characters look, a lot of the characters are weak too, the villian is so lame. The only positives I can say some of the music can be amazing, some of the visuals are gorgeous, and I like the animal companions. However both films especially the 2nd make me like 😬
Oh I almost forget Aladdin is not here, because I feel like I need to rewatch it again to see where we would place it. To be fair it doesn’t feel like a Disney Princess movie anyways, since Aladdin gets more focus than Jasmine. There are also some Disney sequels we have not seen that are not here.

leave everything behind but me- part 4 (diane sherman x reader) (NSFW moment)
Tumblr media
warnings: same as before, stalking (like full on irl stalking as well as online), drugging, some talk of emotional/physical abuse in this one, death mention. this whole fic is just kinda dark... sorry. Also brief nsfw moment.
summary: this part is from Diane’s perspective. as she looks for her neurotoxin ingredients in a panic, she reflects on how she came into contact with you in the first place, and all the highs and lows of your relationship up to this point.
where the hell are they? thought Diane, looking for the last, most important ingredient in her neurotoxin.
She couldn’t believe it had come to this again. Just like with Chloe.
Diane wondered where Chloe was, what she was doing. About five years ago, with an excellent defense lawyer, she managed to get out of jail for what she had done. She looked far and wide for her stolen daughter, who seemed to be nowhere to be found. She still worried about what became of Chloe, but knew she was probably doing alright. And one day, Diane found a new obsession by the name of (y/n).
It was nearly two years ago now. Diane was beginning to give up on finding Chloe, after three full years of searching anywhere and everywhere with no luck. But she did find something else.
She was staying at a hotel in California, near the hospital where she gave birth to Chloe, in the vain hope that maybe, just maybe, Chloe would be around.
Diane didn’t find Chloe, but she found something else from her past. Her college reunion was being held in the exact hotel she was staying at. She didn’t plan on attending, but then she came face-to-face with her college rival. This woman was the only person who did better in her classes than Diane. Not only that, but she had multitudes of friends, boyfriends, you name it, while Diane had no one. The woman never let Diane forget how much better she was either. It wasn’t the worst thing Diane had ever been through, not by a long shot, but it was a disappointment for sure. College was supposed to be the place where Diane could finally feel like she belonged, and she always resented this rival of hers.
“Diane! We didn’t think you were coming! Oh here, have a seat!” said the woman.
“I’m so sorry about Roger. It was such a shock to hear about.”, she continued, reminding Diane of her dead husband
“Yeah, I still can’t say I’m over it, all these years later.”
“Yeah when the love of your life just drops dead like that, you never get over it, do you?”, she said, far louder than Diane would have liked.
“Can we please talk about something else?”
“Of course, I’m so sorry, Diane, I know it must be so hard for you!”
“Yeah. Um... what’s your family like?”
“Well we have one daughter. Her name is (y/n), and she’s a senior in High School,” said the woman. She then leaned into Diane and said, “But can I be honest? I never exactly wanted kids. Never liked them. I thought it would change when I had her but it didn’t. She’s so... difficult.”
Diane’s blood absolutely boiled hearing this, but she managed to keep a polite face, “But that’s your child. Don’t you love her?”
“There are some good things about her, I guess. I do love her in my own way, but I can’t help but feel disappointed. She’s just not what I thought she’d be. I’m sorry, I thought you may understand. I never get to vent my frustrations about her.”
“I’m sorry, but I can’t understand. But, do you, um, by any chance have a picture of her?”
“On my phone, somewhere. Let me look.”
After a while, she found a picture of (y/n). It was fairly recent photo of you at a restaurant, at what looked like a dinner with the whole family. You looked sad and lost, but Diane thought you looked sweet.
“She’s beautiful.”
“Thanks,” said the woman, almost stifling a laugh, as if there was no way Diane could have meant that.
“I’m sorry, I need to go to the bathroom.” said Diane, as she was starting to turn red in anger and the woman.
“I’ll join you, I need to freshen up a bit.”
“Fine.”
So Diane walked straight into a stall while the other woman followed. Diane started to cry, so angry at this awful woman. She had a child, a beautiful, sweet, girl who was alive, for God’s sake. Diane would kill for what she has, in fact she had killed for it before. But this woman didn’t care about her child, she didn’t appreciate you one bit.
She didn’t deserve you.
Then she heard the woman get into the stall next to her and she decided to leave. But the woman left her purse on the sink. Diane looked into her purse and found everything. All her information was in her wallet, and she took pictures of her address, phone number, and credit card numbers, as well as a couple of photos of you and your father. Diane quickly threw the last photo back into her purse as she heard her enemy get up, and she ran away, all the way back up to her room.
Diane looked at the photos, and started to look for your social media. You didn’t seem to post very often, or have many friends. Most of your photos were of you by yourself, or pretty things you took pictures of, and even a couple of sad poems you wrote. Poetry written by teenagers was usually laughably bad, but hers made Diane cry. She saw herself in you.
Poor little thing, Diane thought. She needs some love. But I can do that for her.
Diane spent about a month following you and your parents around, without any of you even noticing her presence. One day she snuck into their house and bugged it, so that there were feeds of different rooms streaming to her computer at all times.
Diane noticed you spent most of your time alone. You wrote in a journal a lot, and cried fairly often, hugging a teddy bear you had. You just seemed so burnt out from stress from school, stress from your job, pressure from your parents. You fought with both of her parents often. Well... fight wasn’t the right word. Usually, one parent would yell at you and insult you, and you would choose to either take it or not take it.
There was one particular instance where you snapped at your father, telling him how he abandoned you so many times. He didn’t take this well, screaming all kinds of insults. How Diane wished she could hold you, rock you, comfort you and tell you that aren’t any of the terrible things your father told you, and that she’s sorry that you never felt good enough.
Diane snuck into (y/n)’s graduation, too. She knew she couldn’t contact you yet, but she got so much happiness out of just seeing this milestone of your life. All you did was walk across the stage and take your diploma, but Diane beamed with pride for you as you did it.
After graduation, your parents were constantly threatening to kick you out, and the fights got worse, they crying got worse. Diane wished she was there, comforting you, holding you and giving you all the love that your parents didn’t. Diane looked for a window of opportunity into this girl’s life until she found the perfect one. You had put out an ad on facebook for anyone on the east coast looking for a roommate, and Diane put her plan into action. She made a fake account on facebook pretending to be a college girl named “Anna Johnson” and responded to the ad, starting to talk to and getting friendly with you. “Anna” suggested that you take a bus trip and offered to pay the fare, but you refused because you wanted to earn the money yourself. Diane’s heart warmed at your sweet messages, even though they were to “Anna” and not her. “I’ve never had as good a friend as you before”, “Who needs a mom when I have you giving me such great advice?”, “You’re the best!”, every little message that you sent to Diane made her fall more and more in love. Diane bought a little house on the East Coast with the money she got from selling her old house, and hoped everything will fall into place in her new life with (y/n).
Now during the bus trip, Diane needed to follow you closely in her silver minivan, and make sure not to lose track of you during layovers either. Her detour into the coffee shop scared her at first, but once Diane found you, it was the perfect opportunity to finally, after all these months of dreaming, meet you face-to-face. Her new little baby girl, finally. Diane slipped a powdered sleeping pill into her already tired girl’s coffee to make you even more sleepy and suggestible, getting you to come with her to her hotel room.
Back in the present, Diane found the rest of the powdered sleeping pills as she was searching through her medicine cabinet and closet. She got so distracted thinking about you, and all the horribly wrong things she had done to you.
It’s for her own good, all of it. She needs to be protected, she’s too pure for this world, to good, too sweet...
Diane searched through the drugs she had given you, thinking of all the best times the two of you have had.
The first day Diane had been with you in the little house was heaven on earth. Finally Diane had everything she’s been working for for almost a year now right there, in her arms. Diane wanted to give you everything you didn’t believe you deserved. The only catch was that you belonged to Diane, and Diane alone.
She got a job teaching Chemistry at the local High School fairly easily, as she had extensive knowledge (even more extensive than she may have let on in her interview), of the subject, and the school district was completely desperate for competent science teachers. Diane found faking the background check easy, she used her maiden name and an incorrect date of birth and they didn’t ask her about her arrest at all. And now she had her new life set up. A house that she owned, a job to put food on the table, and you.
The next best day for Diane was the day you finally kissed her. Diane was starting to fall in love with you in a more romantic, even a more sexual way, but didn’t know if you felt the same way about her. Then, during one of your movie nights, you kissed Diane, and she felt overjoyed. She kissed you back and finally led you to the bed and fucked you, like she had been thinking about doing every night at this point but was too scared to actually initiate until now. She was in love with the feeling she got from kissing you, from pleasing you. It had been so long since Diane had been this intimate with anyone, and she was your first. And it was a real awakening for the both of you.
It felt so good, you felt so good. This relationship you had was so incredibly wrong in so many ways, but it just felt so right.
Why did it have to change?
Of course, there were still some hard moments. Even Diane admitted that there were times when she could be irrationally possessive of you, getting angry when someone even looks at you the wrong way. She knew that her possessive, obsessive attitude could scare you, and you would even blame yourself for it, but she didn’t know how to stop. She knew that you were getting scared she would become more difficult to please, like all the other people that have been in your life.
Or the times that you would cry, and it happened so often. You would get sad and Diane would hold you and tell you:
“It’s ok baby, you’re here now, you’re with me. I love you more than life itself. You’re gonna be okay, my little angel.”
One night Diane woke up to you crying into your pillow, and immediately grabbed you.
“What’s wrong, baby? What happened?”
“I- I was afraid that you might- that- one day- you might not want me anymore... what would happen if you d-don’t want me....”
“Listen, I will never not want you. You are all I have, remember? And you’re all I need. Come here, that’s right. You’re my baby, all mine.. shhh....”
Or, there was the time you asked about the scars on Diane’s back. She was mortified, but finally told you about her terrible childhood. The horrible abuse from her mother until her death, the foster home, everything. Her desperation to become the mother she never had. You hugged her tight.
“I’m so sorry, Diane, I had no idea... and to think I complained about-”
“Baby, don’t compare your life to mine. All that matters now is that it’s you and me, and I need to take care of you.”
“Sometimes I think I should be the one taking care of you, Diane.”
“Trust me baby, you do so much more for me than you think.”
Then Diane found it. The rest of the paint thinner. And she was ready to take away all your sadness once and for all, and make you hers forever.

37 weeks
Summary: your baby came a little early
Tumblr media
Warning: Fluff, birth
Title: 37 weeks
Word count: 1.4k
Pairing: Harry styles x pregnant reader
Masterlist | request closed momentarily
Please don't post any of my content anywhere else without my permission. Comments and reblogs welcome!
You were 37 weeks along and you were heavily pregnant. It wasn't a planned pregnancy but you and Harry sure were happy about it. See you both have been together for 3 years now and it didn't surprise you that it happened. Before the tour Harry couldn't keep his hands off of you which led to a bump growing in the oven. Now Harry is on tour for almost 7 months now and he was as anxious as can be when he's away.
Your phone ringing pulled you out of your amazing slumber. You groaned reaching to pick up your phone. You winched at the bright setting, but looked at the caller ID.
It was Harry
You answered it. "Hello." Harry heard the sleep in your voice and started to feel bad that he woke you up. "I'm sorry love, I woke you up?" You shook your head even though he couldn't see you. "No I should be getting up now really. What are you doing haz?"
He exhaled, "well just finished a show and I wanted to talk to you before I fall asleep." You smiled. "Oh, I would love to talk to you."
You and Harry talked for a while. He asked how you were feeling, how much the baby has been kicking and how your last appointment was. He was such a sweetheart about everything, you're so lucky to have such a loving and caring fiancee.
After a while, Harry started to get sleepy. You both knew it was best if he went to sleep so he could be ready for his show the next day. You said your I love yous and goodnight before you hung up.
You hopped out of bed and went downstairs to make yourself some breakfast. You settled on some cereal and tea. You placed the water on the stove and went to eat your cereal.
You ate and scrolled through your phone until you heard the tea kettle whisper. You got up and winched at a pain in your stomach. You placed your hand on your stomach. The pain disappeared in less than a minute so you thought it was okay. You walked up to the stove and took the kettle off. Another sharp pain filled your stomach, but this time it was stronger. You groaned, gripping the counter. You quickly switched off the stove as the pain took over your body.
You practice the breathing exercises that you learned in pregnancy class. It helped you a little bit. You got your tea and walked to the living room. You laid down and tried to push the pain away. You couldn't be having contractions, you were 37 weeks along.
You laid and watched TV for a while. You didn't get anymore pain so you thought you were in the clear, but you were wrong. You sat up and the pain came back. "Mm fuck." You had a gush of pain and then you felt wetness in between your legs.
"No, no, no." You looked down and you saw that your sweats were wet. You picked up your phone and dialed Anne's number.
"Y/n, how are you honey?" You winched, "hi uh Anne, my water broke." Anne gasped. "Okay, stay right there. I'm coming." You nodded, "okay."you hung up and waited for Anna to come. She didn't waste any time, she arrived in less than 5 minutes.
She used the key under the flower pot and welcomed herself in. "Y/n." You sighed in relief when you heard her. "In here." Anne walked in and looked at you. "Oh honey, let's get you to the hospital." You got up with her help and she led you to the door. You picked up the hospital bag on the way out not wanting to forget it.
You got in the car and Anne started driving. You picked up your phone, dialing Harry's number through a contraction.
Harry woke up with a groan, picking up his phone. "Hello." His voice was groggy. "Harry." You said whimpering. Harry quickly sat up. "Y/n what's wrong? Is the baby okay?" You groaned. "Yeah everything is fine, I'm just having contractions." Harry cursed. He got out of bed and started packing his bag."your mom is driving me to the hospital right now." Harry breathed a sigh of relief when he heard that his mom was driving him.
"Alright, just do those deep breath exercises we learned. Do you want me to stay on the phone, love?" You nodded, "Yes please."
"Okay, inhale and exhale baby." He said as he slung his bag over his shoulder and walked out of the hotel room. He will call the crew later, but right now the only thing he's worried about is you.
Anne arrived at the hospital and pulled into the emergency entrance. She got out of the car and got you a wheelchair so you could be wheeled in. You were still talking to Harry as another contraction hit. The nurse wheeled you in, into a room.
"Deep breathes love, everything is okay. We're going to have a baby, isn't that amazing?" He tried to calm you down and that made you smile. "Y… yes, we're going to have a baby." Harry chuckled softly at that thought. "I'm going to hang up because I'm at the airport and my jet is here. I love you so much ok, don't have the baby without me."
"Alright haz." You hung up and turned to Anne. "Thank you for bringing me here." She shook her head, "that's what I'm here for." You smiled at her before turning to the nurse. She asked you a series of questions before she put you on an IV. Anne stayed with you coaching you through your contraction. They started to get even more intense as you inched closer to birth. You were sweaty, crying, and cursing mess but she was by your side, even texting Harry telling him everything that was going on.
Speaking of Harry, he was just landing in London. He called Gemma so she could drive him to the hospital. Harry was getting anxiety. His legs were bouncing, his heart was racing as she drove.
"Calm down Harry, mom is with her. It's going to be fine." Harry looked over at Gemma. He exhaled, "I know, I'm just extremely scared." Gemma smiled at her brother, "it's okay Harry, I promise."
-♥-
You were literally on the edge. You were dialed and the doctor wanted you to push, but you couldn't, not with Harry. "I can't without Harry." you were in pain and crying. The doctor nodded, "I know, but you have to push." You wailed out as another contraction came over you.
"Okay, fuck I'll push!" You hold your legs back and begin to push. You thought contractions were painful, but pushing was worse. You cried out and pushed the best you could. Through the moment Harry arrived. He sprinted to your room.
They let him in and he took Anne's place. "You're an amazing baby." You whined while taking his hand. The doctor told you to push again and you did. You squeezed Harry's hand tightly, pushing with all your might. The nurse counted to 10 and you took a deep breath.
"I can see the head, one more big push." You nodded. You took a breath and pushed hard. You cried out, your body felt like it was on fire. It wasn't long before the pain was eventually over when you heard a cry. You looked down and saw your beautiful baby girl. She was placed on your chest, you cried as you looked up at Harry.
He had tears in his eyes. "She's so beautiful." He took a hold of her tiny hand and kissed it softly. You looked at her. "Yes."
"Have we picked out a name for her?" You looked down at the nurse. "Um yes, Darcy Anne." You turned to Anne who was standing in the corner. "I think she deserves to be named after her amazing grandmother. Anne smiled, placing her hand over her heart. "Really?"
Harry nodded, "yes we couldn't have done this without you ma." Harry let go of Darcy's hand and walked up to his mom giving her a hug. "Thank you so much for everything." Anna hugged her son tightly. You smiled, looking back down at Darcy. She was fast asleep, she didn't know it, but she was about to be the most spoiled princess ever. You and Harry were so happy to have her.

Hello! I love your blog and writing so much! May I please request modern au dating hcs for Mikasa?
Tumblr media
tysm for requesting ilysm 🙈💥
i also went a bit overboard i hope thats okay !!
Tumblr media
modern mikasa ackerman dating headcanons
lowercase intended !
college!mikasa ackerman x gn!reader
Tumblr media
- eren finds out abt her crush on you. idc idc
- mf may be dense sometimes but he isnt stupid, he KNOWS what mikasa acts like when shes in the presence of her crush,, he would know bc he was one ;)
- anyways, maybe your like, going up to ask mikasa for her notes from last class, or just chatting with them to be friendly
- either way mikasa goes from 😳 to 😐 real quick
- shes very quiet which youre used to so you dont really think too long abt her lack of communication. its literally just you and eren talking at this point
- after you leave to,,, idk sit under a tree ?? erens immediately turning to mikasa being like "okay tell me everything"
- she denies the crush on u 😔💔
- but then eren tells armin.
- and eren has a big mouth so who knows who else he told ??
- so finally, after beating up eren for spilling the beans she tells her two closest friends EVERYTHING
- like from how nice your hair smells to how pretty she finds your eyes. how she loves your sense of style. she just likes everything about you
- erens like "i mean yeah theyre rlly cute but like,,, what do you like about them that isnt physical 😐"
- mikasa starts blushing HARD. and slowly goes to her bedroom in their shared apartment, before slinking back out holding a crinkly folded piece of paper.
- its something you wrote and it says "thanks for studying with me mikasa !! let me treat you to boba as a thanks. youre so sweet, ill see you next class babie"
- erens looking at the note like 😐 mf is this it ??
- armins flipping it back and forth and reading it over and over again
- mikasa just says "theyre kind to everyone. and theyre funny. i just like them a lot."
- erens like 🙄 k but armins all for it
- then they start coming up with a plan to get you to like mikasa back (even though mikasa doesnt want that)
- erens an asshole and says "mikasa i love you and you will always be my number one, HOWEVER. they might just see you as a friend, OR WORSE. an aquaintance. we gotta make u so cool that youre irresistable"
- now mikasa is a bit worried
- HOWEVER. what none of those idiots know is that YOU have had a fat crush on mikasa since you asked her for a pencil at the beginning of the semester 😍 she stared at u like 😐✏️ and u were like "omg thanks 😊" w a little blush on ur cheeks bc mikasa's hot
- i mean,, if you didnt like mikasa WHY would you have invited her out for boba ?? one, who doesnt like boba ?? and two,, doesnt that count as a date ? u didnt know but u just wanted to like ✨subtly✨ shoot your shot
- but that was almost a month ago and she hasnt said yes. so you assume she didnt wanna go
- a few days go by after mikasa tells her friends all about her crush. and like,,, they do nothing ?? what happened to the big plan of making mikasa seem like the coolest person around ?
- it turns out eren doesnt know enough about you to know what you like. and ur dumbass friends aint help either.
- so one day he finds you and mikasa coming out of your shared class, your talking about something and mikasa is just nodding with a blush on her cheeks.
- he runs up to both of you before saying "hey just to let you know mikasa has a big crush on you. and she'd love to go get boba with you 😁👍"
- mikasa gets so red in the face and starts smacking him with her binder. you couldnt stop it even if you tried
- after literally YELLING at them for their attention you just turn to mikasa like "please get boba with me 🥺" and she cant resist
- and then the rest is history 😌✨
- after the boba date you learned so much about her and vice versa. you guys were like,, closer than ever. always going to her apartment or her coming to your dorm
- you guys would have sleepovers very frequently. nothing ever happens but you two like being so close with each other
- and you guys do a lot together when you arent busy with school or work or friends
- mikasa takes you to cool museums and art galleries
- you take her to cool shops downtown and parks
- its so fun
- but you cant help but wonder if youre dating or not ?? like do you have the right to call mikasa your gf ?? you guys havent kissed on the lips but she always kisses your head when you cuddle, and you always take each other out on dates
- on the day you finally bring it up during one of your sleepovers. shes on her back and youre almost on top of her with your arms around her shoulders and your face smushed into her chest
- u just kinda mumble "are you my girlfriend ?"
- and its SILENT.
- u start freaking out bc "omg she doesnt like me 😁👍 im gonna cry"
- until she just quietly says. "yes."
- OFNWIDNKWSMWKKWKALSMQLSME
- ur gonna marry this girl 😐
- her love language ?? definitely acts of service. idc idc.
- when u sleep over shes making you tea without u asking. (u said u liked lavender tea ONCE and this bith got a whole container 😭😭)
- when you have movie nights with her, eren, and armin she always chooses a movie you like ("no we arent watching the florida project again armin cried last time" "yeah but y/n loves it so" "this feels like oppression mikasa" "okay and ?")
- is also very protective. she hears mfs in the halls talking shit about you ?? shes shutting them up with her glare
- also u know how isayama made her goth in his like, highschool thingy ?? yeah 😍
- #gothmikasasupremacy
- she makes her eyeliner and shadow messy on purpose.
- you love just laying her down on her bed and straddling her, just leaning over and doing her makeup for her (jules and anna tease 🙈✨)
- sometimes you guys go to thrift stores and pick out outfits for each other
- one time you found this GORGEOUS floral sundress and she physically shivered from the thought of wearing
- tried it on and looked SO BEAUTIFUL, but it wasnt her style 😐
- also doesnt tell her parents about you ?? not bc shes embarassed or anything but just because she knows her dad is gonna be like "who are they ? what are they like ? where do they live ? whats their major ? where are they from ? whats their zodiac sign ?"
- he doesnt do it to play the "overprotective dad" role but because hes genuinely curious and excited
- she brings you home for the first time and youre so surprised because this tall blond man is her FATHER ?? she looks so much like her mom though its not even funny
- for dinner her mom and dad made traditional japanese food 😭😭 it was so good omfg
- also this has nothing to do with dating headcanons but mikasa used to live off of lunchables as a kid. was literally addicted to the rubber like ham 😍
- her mom is so sweet, and she shows you all of the stuff she's embroidered all these years
- her dad is so extroverted, he loves telling dad jokes. you find them HILARIOUS but mikasa sits there like 😐👍
- he DEMANDS you guys play scrabble. he says it help him figure out who you are as a person. now youre scared 😁👍
- anyways
- you love giving her little kisses on her lips because one, you get some of her moisturizing lip gloss on your lips and two, she blushes SO HARD
- one time you two were on a date and you ran into her ex. whos literally so scary
- her name is annie and shes blonde and muscular and rlly hot but has that same blank stare as mikasa
- you feel kinda weird bc how did she go from being with ANNIE to you ??
- you ask her abt it and shes like "oh yeah we dated in our last year of high school. im much happier with you" and now youre feeling all giggly and happy bc mikasa doesnt lie 😭😭
- u roll around on her bed with your cheeks squished together to hide your blush bc you feel so good that she said that
- she just rolls her eyes before getting on top of you and taking your hands away from your face
- she gives u kisses all over before putting the final one on your lips. its such a soft and sweet moment with just the two of you, you cant help but confirm what youve already thought:
youre gonna marry her one day.

learning to raise a baby ~ daniel seavey
requested: yes:)
Can you please do an cute imagine about y/n and Daniel having a baby together and taking care of the baby and figuring the parenting stuff out together. Ur amazing
summary: follow a few different events in the life of daniel and y/n learning to raise a baby.
warning(s): baby, literally too lazy to edit this i’ll come back later lmao
word count: 2608
author’s note: i have such baby fever omg
disclaimer: i def need to clarify that i am 18 years old and do not have a baby and i have no close friends with babies (in person, at least) therefore this is purely fiction. i watch a LOT (i mean A LOT) of family vloggers and like teen mom accounts raising their kids, so basically all of my knowledge comes from that. i hope no one takes offence to my depiction of it, but my intention is purely just to write this cute fic idea, and i don’t want to pretend like i know anything about parenting or raising a child or anything like that!! okay that’s all!!
I could barely see my feet as I painfully took in another breath of air and started walking forward. Awoken at 3am with terrible back pain and a pool of amniotic fluid at my waist, Daniel and I now rushed to grab our hospital bag and make our way to the labor and delivery section of our nearest hospital.
everything went so fast. before i was actively having a child, it felt like my pregnancy would never end, but now that it’s actually happening and i’m having a child, it felt like pregnancy flew by.
just a few days ago, i was sitting on the countertop in my bathroom, impatiently waiting to see if i was pregnant or not in hopes that daniel wouldn’t get home from the studio early and find me. i had just given daniel the surprise of his lifetime when i woke him up at four am to tell him i was pregnant because i just couldn’t keep it from him anymore to do a fun reveal. i remember how we both cried, too excited to even go back to sleep.
just a few days ago, daniel and i were sitting in my obstetrician’s office as we got to hear our eight week old fetus’ heartbeat for the first time. we both cried. it feels like just a day or two ago we cut into a pink colored cake and found out that our precious baby girl would be coming. all of the breakdowns about what stroller to buy and which crib matches the nursey best felt like just moments ago. and now, all of a sudden, i’m ten hours into labor and i’m ready to push.
pushing was painful, but the thought of holding a sweet babygirl soon just kept me going. daniel squeezed my hand tight, standing by the end of the bed watching our beautiful daughter make her way into the world.
i gave the final push and soon i heard a cry that made everything in the whole world worth it. they say you never truly understand love until you’ve had a child, and as soon as i held our daughter, i felt an overwhelming sense of truth in that statement. i never knew such a distinct moment could be the greatest day of my life, but as soon as i laid my eyes on her, i knew that i would never get a day greater than this one.
our daughter laid on my chest for a while as daniel sat by my head, holding both my hand and hers. eventually, the nurses cleaned her off a bit and wrapped her tightly in a swaddle for daniel to finally hold his daughter. i watched the tears fall from his bluer than ever eyes that never left her little face. by the way she settled in his arms and fell asleep, i knew i was going to have a daddy’s little girl on our hands.
it felt like forever, just watching daniel and our baby getting to know each other. soon enough, though, the doctors finished with the stitches and i heard a knock at the door.
within seconds, both of our parents came into the room, bearing wide smiles. daniel sat in the seat next to me, both of us staring at the beautiful baby in front of us.
“does she have a name?” keri asks, slowly walking up to the two of us, careful not to be too loud.
daniel and i look at each other, and then i give him the nod to tell everyone. “callista avery mae seavey.”
“our little baby callie.” i smile at the name. daniel and i both loved the name callie, but wanted it to be a nickname. avery was after his bandmate who really helped us through this whole preparing to be parents thing. mae was a pretty nickname from my side of the family that was good to separate avery and seavey. our little callie mae.
***
it was three am and both of us were awake to callie’s loud screaming. turns out that daniel and i had a very colicky daughter who, when awake, wanted to scream at the top of her lungs. daniel was in the nursery trying to grab more diapers and wipes that, out of exhaustion, we forgot to restock last night when we ran out. i held callie in our arms, rocking her gently and trying to get her to go back to sleep.
“does she have a dirty diaper?” daniel asks, placing the diapers in the corner of our messy bedroom. a few days into callie’s life, we realized we should’ve left the changing table in our bedroom until she was ready to sleep in the nursey, but both of us were too tired to even think about moving the furniture around. so for now the corner of the room was storage and a changing pad on the bench was our late night changing table.
“i don’t think so.” i answer, giving him an exhausted look. “her diaper isn’t heavy and i tried to feed her, but she doesn’t seem to be hungry. i think she just woke up and is being colicky again.”
“how long did the doctor say the colic will last?” daniel asks.
“she didn’t.” i sigh, going to take a seat on our bed as i continued to calm callie. daniel sat beside me. “go back to sleep, i got her.”
“no, i know you’ve been awake all night. try to go to sleep, i’ve got her.” daniel says, and then takes callie from me. “did you take melatonin tonight?”
“yeah.” i say. “i know your body goes through a lot of changes postpartum, but i’m really not liking the insomnia.”
“okay, well, you lay down, and i’m gonna sing to you both, okay?” daniel says and then starts to rock callie to sleep as i laid beside them. and then he started to sing softly.
***
callie was born a little over three months ago and daniel and i haven’t had a date night since then. when we fearfully realized that last week, jack and anna were both quick to offer some help. we hadn’t felt comfortable leaving callie yet, especially since she wasn’t always the easiest. we had lots of help and people offering, but neither daniel nor i were good at asking for help. that’s definitely something we’re both still working on, especially now that we have a baby.
finally though, jack and anna convinced us. originally, we were going to leave them with daniel’s parents, but anna and jack were pretty convincing. jack had lots of experience since he himself is a dad, and anna was very close with gabbie when she had lavender. jack also decided to invite zach for some more company, which was cute.
daniel and i had a hard time saying goodbye to callie, even though we really were only going to be out for two hours at most. we knew neither of us could stay away for that long.
the restaurant wasn’t too far from the house, which was nice because it cut down on our time away from callie. i think both of us were a little nervous to leave her. we both know that she’s three months old and other people are more than capable of watching her for a few hours, but it’s still hard to not be worried about all of the things we could be missing out on.
“oh my gosh, anna just sent a picture of callie.” daniel says in the middle of our dinner, holding up his phone to show up me the picture of our daughter in the adorable pajamas her aunt bought.
“i miss her.” i admit, knowing he was feeling similarly. “do you think they had a hard time getting her to sleep? i hope she’ll be good for them tonight.”
“i’m sure she was fine.” daniel says, then later . “you know, maybe we should skip dessert. relieve them a little early.”
“she’s growing up so fast.” i tell him. “i’m not ready for her to keep growing.”
“we’re gonna blink and she’s gonna be cursing us out because we wouldn’t let her go out with her friends.” daniel continues. “not that we would do that, because honestly, i’ve always thought we’d be a little cooler than that.”
i laugh at his comment. “oh, we’ll definitely be cooler than that. we’re not gonna be the lame strict parents that doesn’t let their kids go out with their friends.”
“oh definitely.” daniel agrees. “except i will be strict about doors open if someone is over. i don’t care who she’s in her room with, but that door better be open. i am taking no chances.”
“i feel like that’s fair.” i add. “i know we’re parents, but wow, until i think about that future, i kind of forget.”
“i’m very glad that’s a long ways away.” he comments. “i’m barely ready for her to be three months old, we do not need to get ahead of ourselves. take this parenting thing one step at a time.”
“i could not agree more.” i smile, leaning over the table to kiss daniel’s lips gently.
***
i walked out of my one year old’s nursery with her in my arms. we watched as daniel and anna hung balloons up around our california apartment. it’s just about an hour before callie’s first birthday party, and now more than ever, i could not be more grateful for daniel’s family’s offer to help us set up.
rather than fighting with figuring out food for the party, we decided to get it catered. christian and tyler offered to go pick up the food at the restaurant for us, which was extremely helpful. his parents were setting up some decorations around the front of the apartment.
i had just put callie in her adorable dress that i specifically picked out for this party. we weren’t the type to throw parties, so we weren’t 100% sure what to do or what to expect, but we decided to just stick to family and close friends. callie was too young for us to strictly invite her friends over. at this stage in her life, her friends were whoever was at mommy&me that week.
the party was going to be small. daniel’s family, my family, daniel’s bandmates and close friends, and then my close friends.
thankfully, we finished decorating and setting up with about thirty minutes left to spare before the party. rather than worry, i decided to just sit on the couch with anna and daniel. keri took callie from me, wanting to spend some time with her granddaughter, and giving daniel and i a brief break before the party started.
“i cannot believe she’s a year old.” anna exclaims to me. “you guys have been parents for a year. that’s crazy to think about.”
“it’s definitely a little bit weird.” i giggle in response.
“you guys make it look so easy, being young parents.” anna says. “i know i’m younger than you guys, but still, i cannot imagine having a kid anytime soon.”
“i didn’t think i would either.” i tell anna. “for me, i wasn’t really ready until i met dani. i realized that i was ready because i wanted to do this with him. it’s different for everyone, i’m sure, but at least personally, that’s how i knew we could be parents.”
daniel wraps his arm around me on the couch, kissing my cheek softly. “yeah, it’s the same for me. when you find someone you want to do everything with, it gets easier to imagine yourself parenting together.”
“that is really cute.” anna says. “this is what i mean, when i say you make it look easy!!”
“it’s definitely not easy.” i laugh. “but it’s a little bit easier when you work as a team. we talk things through and decide together, instead of just making decisions separately. it’s a lot easier to feel like you’re making the right decision when you talk things through.”
“and that is all the parenting advice you get, because while i am most definitely ready to be a dad, i am not ready to be an uncle.” daniel says, getting protective over his younger sister.
“being an uncle is way easier than being a dad.” anna laughs. “but trust me, i’m not having kids any time soon. at least not intentionally.”
“well, i have to be the cool uncle. someone’s gotta bail the kid out of jail and hide it from you.” daniel jokes.
“first of all, why would my kid go to jail??” anna asks. “and second of all, you might’ve been first in the race for cool uncle before callie arrived, but since becoming a dad, you’ve fallen behind. the cool uncle can’t have kids, that’s not how that works.”
“well i’ll break that standard, because i’ll be the cool uncle.”
“i just want to be the aunt that gives good advice at one o’clock in the morning.” i tell them. “someone’s gotta do it. i expect that for callie, anna, so i will do that for your kids.”
“oh, of course. nothing but the best for callie. and future kids.” anna agrees. “speaking of, future kids? any thoughts on that? mom wants me to scope that out.”
“eventually.” i smile. “sooner rather than later.”
***
daniel took callie on a walk. he’s been really adamant about spending at least thirty minutes a day on a walk with her. now that she’s getting a lot more balance and ability to take a lot more steps, he loves taking her to the playground a few blocks from our apartment. usually, i like to go with them, but today i made up an excuse about things i had to get done at home.
i felt especially grateful for that routine of his today, because i needed a few minutes to myself. i’ve been feeling particularly nauseated recently, and as soon as i woke up the other day, i could feel that i was pregnant again. in the past, i had always thought that when i was paranoid about being late, but now that i’ve actually experienced pregnancy, i can feel that there’s a little fetus inside of me.
daniel and i haven’t exactly been trying, but we haven’t been taking as many precautions as we were when callie was first born. now that she’s over a year old, we feel better about having another baby. we weren’t too rushed, because we lot spending time with just our little girl, but we didn’t want to wait too long and have her grow up without a sibling. having a sibling was always a priority of daniel and i’s. seeing as we both grew up with siblings, we know how important it is to have a sibling.
my stomach fluttered with butterflies as i followed the instructions on the pregnancy test. after realizing i was pregnant with callie, i had bought a ton of tests that i didn’t end up using because it was so obvious that i was indeed pregnant. that was extremely helpful for right now when i don’t have time to go sit in traffic for thirty minutes just to go to the pharmacy.
i sat on top of the counter, leaving the pregnancy test face down while i tried to scroll through tiktok and distract myself. it was probably the slowest five minutes of my life, other than finding out about callie.
the timer went off on my phone. i take a deep breath and carefully lift the pregnancy test off the marble bathroom counter.
pregnant.

Frozen
Tumblr media
Pairing: Steve Rogers X Fem!Reader
Words: 1624
Warnings: Just tooth rotting fluff and a kid with a big mouth.
Summary: Fluff. Your niece is spending the night at the tower and the two of you take over the movie room for a Frozen marathon.
Tumblr media
“Hey Carley.” You greet your best friend as you pick up your phone.
“Hey sweetie. I have a huge favor to ask you.” Carley sounds nervous.
“Okay. What’s up?” You ask.
“Nina was supposed to spend the night with a friend but she’s got a virus and now Nina can’t go and she’s heartbroken. And… and I was supposed to have Nick over for dinner and some alone time tonight. Is there… I’m sorry, but is there any way she can spend the night with you? I know I’m asking a lot.” Carley was practically babbling. Nina is her 5 year old daughter and your “niece” whom you adore.
“Hang on a second. Lemme check into it.” You had been heading for the common room in order to get some lunch and you were glad to find Steve and Bucky there. “Steve, Bucky, hey, would anyone have a problem if my five year old niece, Nina, spent the night and we took over the movie room?”
“You have a niece?” Bucky asks.
“She’s my best friend’s daughter.” You say.
“I don’t see that being a problem.” Steve smiles at you while Bucky nods.
“Thanks, guys. Hey Carley. Yeah, I can do it. Lemme talk to her… Hey Ninabug!”
“Hey Aunt Y/N. I was supposed to spend the night with my friend but now I can’t!” Nina sounds on the verge of crying.
“I’m so sorry, Ninabug! But I was hoping you could come spend the night with me at the tower. We can get pizza and popcorn and candy and take over the movie room to watch Frozen. How does that sound?”
“Can we watch Frozen and Frozen 2?” Nina asks.
“Yeah! I love Frozen 2.”
“Will I get to meet Captain America?” She asks.
You glance over at Steve and bite your lip. “Um, I can’t promise that but I’ll ask, okay?”
“He’s my favorite.” Nina says.
“Yeah, I know. Mine, too.” You smile and glance over at the guys sitting at the table. “I’ll pick you up at 4, okay? Lemme talk to mom.” You got back on the phone with Carley and cement plans.
After getting off the phone, you nervously walk back over to Steve, “Hey, um, Nina is a big fan of yours. She would love to meet you. She even has a Captain America stuffie that she sleeps with. Would you mind?”
“Uh, no, no, of course not. I’d be happy to meet her.” Steve says.
“Great! Thanks, Steve. See you guys later.” You are grinning widely as you leave.
---
“She didn’t realize we could hear both sides of her conversation, did she?” Bucky smirks as Steve.
“She’s just agreeing with her niece to make her happy.” Steve rolls his eyes.
“You’ve had a crush on her since she got here. Now, you know she feels the same.” Bucky winks.
“Her saying that doesn’t confirm anything.” Steve grouses.
“The smile she had when she said it does.” Bucky elbows him. “Take a chance.”
Steve narrows his eyes at his friend, “Maybe.”
---
A quick trip to the grocery to get Nina’s favorite snacks and drinks, a sweep of your room to clean up, and it’s time to go get her. Nina is beyond excited She chatters the entire drive to the tower. You put her things in your bedroom and change her into her Frozen nightgown and slippers. She’s clutching her Captain America stuffie as you head to the movie room.
“I’m going to order our pizza.” You say to Nina as you pull out your phone.
“Don’t!” Comes from behind you. You turn to see Steve.
“Hey! What do you mean?” You ask.
“I, uh, I already took care of it.” He gives you a breathtaking smile and then kneels down to get on Nina’s level. “Hi Nina. I’m Steve.”
“You’re Captain America!” Nina says.
“That’s right. It’s nice to meet you.” He smiles at her. “I heard you were watching Frozen. I haven’t seen it yet. Would you mind if I join you?”
“Really?” Nina grins. “Did you hear that, Aunt Y/N? Captain wants to watch the movie with us!”
“Yeah. That’s really sweet of you, Steve.” You say as he stands to his full height.
“You don’t mind, do you?” He whispers.
“No, of course not.” You smile.
“Come on. I have a surprise.” Steve takes your’s and Nina’s hands and guides you all to the movie room.
When you enter, your mouth drops. Spread across the coffee table is a buffet of pizza, popcorn, and assorted cups and bowls with the snacks you had purchased along with a selection of drinks. The couch in front of it is covered in blankets and pillows including some hanging from the ceiling creating a fort.
“Wow!” Nina screeches. “A blanket fort! Look at all the food! Candy!”
“Steve! This is amazing!” You look at him and he is grinning at you.
“You like it?” He asks.
“I love it! This is so sweet. Nina will never forget this. Thank you.” You hug him, but quickly let go. “Sorry.” You say as your cheeks stain pink.
“Hey, I don’t mind.” He smiles and moves to turn on the movie.
Nina is bouncing on the couch. You go over to her. “Okay, young lady, we don’t jump on the furniture. Let’s eat, okay?”
“Okay!” Nina says as the movie starts. She eats, occasionally sneaking a piece of candy, and becomes enthralled in the movie almost immediately.
Nina is singing and dancing around to the songs when “Let It Go” comes on, “Aunt Y/N, I’m Anna and you’re Elsa, remember? You have to sing the song!”
You sing along all the while very aware of Steve next to you. When the song is over Steve is grinning at you. “I didn’t know you could sing.”
You put a hand on your face, laughing and embarrassed. “I can hold my own. Just wait, she’s gonna expect you to play Kristoff.”
True to form, when Kristoff sings, Nina runs to Steve to beg him to sing. Unfortunately, Steve doesn’t know the words but he dances around with Nina which makes her happy. The three of you laugh, sing, and dance through Frozen and Frozen 2. Nina is exhausted by the end of it.
“Alright, Ninabug. Let’s go brush those teeth and I’ll sing you to sleep.” You say.
“Do I have to? Can we watch it again?” She begs.
“Not tonight. Tell Steve good night.” You say.
“Good night, Captain!” Nina says looking up at her hero while clutching her stuffie.
“Good night, my best girl.” He says squatting down to peck a kiss on her cheek.
“I’ll clean all this up after she’s asleep. Thanks again, Steve.” You smile at him and he smiles back warmly. As you lead Nina back to your room, you wonder at Steve’s actions tonight. You’d had a crush on the supersoldier since you’d met him, but you were just an agent. There’s no reason for him to feel the same. Nina’s teeth are brushed and she’s sound asleep before you get through the second round of “All is Found.”
You head back to the movie room to clean up the mess. Steve is still there pouring the snacks back into their packages with the credits playing in the background.
“Oh, Steve, I’ll clean this up. It was so sweet of you to do all of this.” You insist.
“I don’t mind.” Steve says.
You reach to grab some of the snacks but Steve’s hand takes your own and he spins you before pulling you into his arms.
“What are you doing?” You laugh.
“Dance with me?” He asks.
You nod looking up at him, swaying to the music playing against the credits.
“Why did you do all this?” You work up the courage to ask him.
He smiles down at you with a blush across his cheeks, “Thought I should prove myself as your favorite.”
“Oh, God, you heard that?” You blush furiously.
“Supersoldier hearing.” He chuckles.
“That’s so embarrassing.” You say.
“I’m sorry, but I was glad I heard it. You’re my favorite, too.” He smiles down at you.
Your brow furrows at his admission. “Me?”
“You.” He leans in and your lips meet. It’s a soft kiss and he pulls back after just a few seconds.
You stare at him in shock for a moment. Then, putting your hands into his hair, you pull him down for a more thorough kiss. He complies immediately and his tongue darts out requesting entry. You open to him and he explores your mouth, pulling you flush against him.
“Aunt Y/N, are you gonna marry him?” Nina’s voice breaks through your kiss induced haze.
You separate from Steve quickly. “Nina! You’re supposed to be in bed.”
“I woke up and you weren’t there.” Nina whines.
“I was cleaning up our mess.” You say.
“No, you weren’t. You were kissing Captain America. That means you’re getting married, right? Anna kisses Kristoff and they’re getting married.” Nina says.
“N-no, Nina. We’re not getting married.” You chuckle and can’t look at Steve. “Come on, kiddo. Back to bed.” You take her hand.
“Wait, Nina.” Steve says. “I need your help.”
“What can I do, Captain?” She says wide-eyed.
“Convince your aunt she should go on a date with me.” Steve smirks up at you.
“She’ll go with you. She told mommy you were the hottest man alive.” Nina says with childlike innocence.
“Nina!” You cover your face with both hands
“Well, she’s the most beautiful woman alive, so I guess we were made for each other.” Steve smiles up at you. “Tomorrow night?”
“Tomorrow night.” You nod with a smile before leading Nina back to your room.

Going Home - Michael Gray
Main Masterlist // Peaky Blinders Masterlist
Tumblr media
Summary: After his cousin and mother sent him to America Michael was angry with them but then he meet you. Then you guys go back to Birmingham with your kids and another on the way
AN: I haven’t seen season five but I know Michael isn’t the best character. And Gina doesn’t exist in this and John is alive. Also don’t judge me if i get anything wrong from the show.
Pairing: Michael Gray x Female!OC
Warnings: Pregnancy, Language, angst, alcohol
YOU and Michael met when he came to America. When he first arrived in America he was pretty pissed as his cousin and his mom sending him there. Plus he barely had no way to contact them and he knew they wouldn’t contact him either. He would probably stay there for the rest of his life he thought. He was bitter for the first weeks he was just angry and always mad at people. Until he met you.
You were working as a seamstress who makes suits and etc. in her own store. He ran into you on the streets and he was about to yell at you before he actually got a chance to look at you. He apologized for bumping into you and you waved it off and accepted his apology.
He suggested walking you back to the store you worked at. You blushed and nodded clearly smitten by him and everything he does and the way he spoke. He was smitten as well. On the way to the shop you almost tripped but he caught you. He thought how clumsy you were was very cute and the way you blushed when he caught you. As you were nearing your shop you said farewell to each other feeling sad he was leaving already.
But he came in the next day asking for a suit with a smirk on his face which made you get butterflies in your stomach like from the day before. You thought you’d never see this mad again in your life but apparently he wanted to see you again. You agreed on making him a suit and he asked you to dinner that night and you agreed feeling real giddy as you jumping around in your head.
You got your best dress and did your hair and make up real nice. You wanted to impress him but what you didn’t know you already made a great impression on him. He looked real nice as well as he put a different suit on but he looked real good. He took you to a nice restaurant and got you the best food there and it tasted good. You talked about your lives like how your father ran out on your mom and she became a single mother. And you always admired her. You weren’t that tough of a child to raise and you were a single child which made it easier.
He told you the story of him growing up in a village and that his name was Henry and then Tommy found him explaining his family wasn’t really his family. He moved to Birmingham and met his mom and cousins who got along until he came to America you didn’t ask why because it seemed like a sensitive topic.
After that night you guys were like glue, always at each other’s sides, going on dates every week. And two months later he asked you to move in with him and you were shocked but agreed with a smile and you already loved him so much.
Then not even a month later you were pregnant with your first child and you were scared to tell him. You hadn’t even told him you loved him. You didn’t even know if he wanted kids. but when you were about to tell him the big news he blurted out he loved you. You were shocked shocked but also very giddy and you wrapped your arms around his neck and hugged him happily saying you loved him as well.
You told him you were pregnant and hoped he wouldn’t be mad. And he wasn’t. He was a little surprised but happy nonetheless He asked you to marry him which you scoffed and rolled your eyes saying he only wanted to marry because you were pregnant. And you guys only knew each other for three months. But he told you that ‘you loved me and I love so why the hell not’. You thought about it for a few days and agreed wanting to do it as soon as possible so that you would be able to fit your wedding dress only being a months pregnant.
You got married a week after with your mom being the only one there. You gelt like the happiest girl alive.
Then months later you gave birth to a beautiful baby girl. And Michael suggested the name Anna saying it was his sisters name. You agreed because a few months earlier he told you he never met his sister and she died. Plus you thought it was a good name.
You got pregnant about 6 months later. God it felt like your family was growing every day. When you told you felt happy but he was even happier
The midwife also told you it was twins which as an even bigger shock and you were a little scared since it was two instead of one. Not only pushing one kids out but two. You only went through it once and it hurt then. But now twice the pain. Michael reassured you that you were strong woman and you could do it.
Three months later you being eight months pregnant and looked like you were about to pop, Michael told you some news. You found out you were pregnant at four months. It surprised it took so long for you to find out.
“My mom wants me to go back to Birmingham,” He told you one night when you guys were cuddling. You only asked about his family a few times and he told you almost everything about them. That they were blinders and his mother and cousin sent him here. You were kind of angry but happy because you wouldn’t have met him if they didn’t send him here. He told you about the Italians and you didn’t blame him for any of it since he thought his mom was still mad at Tommy and that’s why he didn’t tell him. Plus it was in the past and he hadn’t done anything to you to prove he was a monster.
“Why does she want you to come now,” You asked as you looked up at him. You heard about his mom and she seemed like nice person and you didn’t want hold a grudge against for what happened. But you wanted to be on Michaels side as well. But it seemed he gotten over it as well. But he had a little anger in the pit of his stomach that he could ignore.
“She says that she wants to settle things between us,” Michael explains looking down at you with love in his eyes. You both layer in silence for a second.
“So what are you going to do,” You asked as you traced your fingers along his chest.
“I think I should go,” He replied. “Patch things up with the family.”
“Well if you’re going I’m going,” You beamed while looking up at him with a smile on your face.
“Nope,” He disapproved and you looked up at him with a shocked look on your face.
“What why not,” You pouted whole looking up at him.
“Sweetheart you look like you are about to pop and I don’t want you to get hurt,” He cooed you in a stern voice. You knew that he was worried about you.
“I know but I want to meet your family and I want to make sure your okay while you’re there as well,” You told him. He didn’t seem faltered by your words. “Okay how about this if I feel like somethings wrong tomorrow I’ll stay with Anna if not we both go with you. And I won’t put my self in stressful situations,” You offered. He let out a deep sigh before being his hand up to rub his eyes.
“Fine,” he grumbled but before you could cheer he put his hand up. “But we make sure not to put you in ANY stressful situations,” He approves with a stern tone in his voice.
“Ok yep agreed,” You agreed happily with a smile on your face. A wave of tiredness crossed over you. “Let’s get to bed,” You yawned before curling into Michael.
Before you fell you asleep you heard a soft voice “I love you,”
As You Michael and Anna got arrived in Birmingham you started to feel nervous wondering what his family was like in person.
Michael told you that they were dangerous but to not be afraid because they wouldn’t hurt you.
You guys were on the train on your way to Small Heath. As you promised you didn’t put yourself in stressful situations. You were starting to feel a bit uncomfortable on the train and hoped you would get there soon.
Once the train stopped Michael tapped you on the shoulder when he noticed you didn’t get up.
“Come one love we’re here,” Michael coos as he stands pulling his daughter up with him.
You let out a yawn and stood up and stretched. God you could barely move without taking everything out.
“Ok I’m ready,” You sighed and looked at your daughter sleeping in Michaels arms.
Even though she was a little past 1 years old and knew how to walk she loved being in her dads arms. You smile at the two them.
Anna stirred in her sleep and rubbed her eyes with her tiny hands.
“Hey Anna were here,” Michael whispered to his daughter with a smile painted his lips. Anna smile and let out a little giggle.
“Daddy,” Anna let out. She has been saying some words ever since she turned a year and would try to form sentences.
You and Michael shared smiles before walking out onto the platform. He put Anna down. You guys where nervous about letting her walk but Michael held to her hand. You stood to his side while Anna was on his other.
You could tell he was nervous about seeing his mother.
“It’ll be ok Michael,” You whispered in his ear wrapping your hand around his.
Michael nodded doubt running through his veins. He felt extremely nervous about seeings his family again. And about them seeing you and Anna as well.
Then you saw Michael stare at a women with dark hair and high cheek bones. You guessed that was his mother.
“Stay here,” Michael whispered to you and put Anna’s hand in your own. You nodded and watched him walk towards the woman.
You saw that they talked for a minute then a smile was spread across the woman’s face as she hugged him. You saw Michael relax and hug her back.
You let out a smile at the reunion.
“Up,” Anna raised her arms indicating she wanted to be held. You laughed a little and bent down being careful of your belly and picked her up. She wrapped her legs around you watching out for your belly. She let out a little smile and played with your hair.
You looked up and saw that Michael and Polly were walking over to you. You would say you were nervous but that would be an understatement. She looked like a very intimidating woman and you’ve heard a lot about her from Michael.
“Mom this Y/N my wife,” Michael introduced two of you and pointed to your daughter. “And this is our daughter Anna.”
Michaels mom, Polly, looked at your daughter who was resting her head on your shoulder feeling a tad tired. You noticed that Polly was getting a bit teary eyed.
“Nice to meet y-you I’ve heard good things about you,” You stuttered a bit feeling nervous about meeting your husbands mother. She looked like she could be very intimidating at some points but now she hasn’t done anything to make you feel like that.
You put your hand out to shake but she pulls you in for a hug which was kind of uncomfortable with your belly and your daughter in your arms but you tried to hug back anyways. You didn’t want to seem rude.
“Anna after,” Polly trailed off looking at Michael who nodded knowing who she was talking about after she retreated from your hug. She pulled Michael into her arms and whispered something in his ear. “Let’s get you two home you two must be tired from the the ride.
You, Michael, and Anna walked into Pollys house which wasn’t huge but wasn’t small either. You thought it looked really comfortable which you loved. Anna seemed to be getting a bit fussy so Michael took her from your arms into his. Anna put her head into his neck drowsing off.
“I’m going to go lay her down it’s been a long day for her,” Michael told you before going upstairs to one of the rooms.
After Michael left you stood there awkwardly waiting for him to return or Polly to come back from the kitchen.
“Come on in I don’t bite,” Polly called out to you when she noticed you didn’t follow her to the kitchen. You blushed a little before entering the kitchen and sat on one of the chairs. “So has my son been treating well,” She asked you as she got some tea ready.
“Yes he has been a complete gentleman,” You reassured while giving her a smile you put your hands on your belly and felt one of the babies kicking.
“I’m guessing 8 months along and with twins,” Polly asked before sitting down as she noticed you rubbing your belly.
“Yes did Michael tell you,” You ask curiosity painting your face.
“Nope intuition,” Polly gave you smile which you returned.
“I don’t want to sound rude but I’m hoping I give birth soon its been a lot of uncomfortable months for me,” You explain as you try to get situated in the chair.
“I’d assume it would be uncomfortable for twins,” Polly teases while giving you a smirk.
“I’m kind of scared though,” You admitted.
“What are you scared of darling,” Polly asked as she looked at you with a worried look on her face. Even though she didn’t know you for long she felt that you changed her sons life and would be a good addition to the family.
“Well it hurt with Anna so I assume it will hurt twice as much with the twins,” You explain to her. “Michael always reassures me though but it doesn’t help that fear in that back of my head.”
“You’ll be fine I can tell you’re a strong woman,” Polly acknowledged while taking a sip from her tea. “And plus we can get the best doctors to help you through it,” She reassures you.
“I hope so,” You mutter looking down at your huge belly.
“Have you and Michael thought of any baby names,” She tries to distract you.
“We’ve has a few but nothing that’s stuck,” You explained. You thought if it was two boys Henry and William and if it was two girls Rose or Luna. Michael just told you whatever you wanted. Before Polly could say something Michael came down into the kitchen.
“Didn’t have to much fun without me,” Michael joked and kissed your forehead then sat down next to you.
“We were just discussing baby names,” You explain while makes an oh face. Before he can respond Polly interrupts.
“We’re having the family over so that we can celebrate the new family members to the family and your arrival,” Polly surprises you and Michael.
Great a family reunion with the whole family.
As the family rolled into the house you were introduced to everyone. Michael seemed to be taking to his cousins while you were talking to Esme, Ada and Polly. Linda was sitting down reading a book. Anna was asleep upstairs. You woke her her up to feed her and then a few hours later everyone rolled in. So you put her to bed not wanting her to be stressed.
“So you and Michael happy for the baby,” Ada asked as you guys sat food down on the table.
“Yes but it’s going to be more stressful with Anna and it being twins will make it harder of course,” You explain while setting some silverware down after setting down the potatoes.
“Yeah it was hard when I married John he already had a lot kids when that happened,” Esme joked with you while nudging your arm.
“Plus with you getting pregnant every couple years,” Ada jokes while Esme rolls her eyes. It didn’t look like she took it to heart though.
“I don’t think it should be to long now,” Polly told you pointing to your belly.
“Well I hope so,” You laughed while leaning against the table. Before you could speak you felt some pain in your stomach which made you groan a bit.
“You okay Y/N,” Ada asked concern lacing her voice.
“Think it might be soon than later.”
Turns out you were in labor because not 5 minutes later you felt your water break which made you groan as another contraction hit you. Ada and Esme helped you upstairs to one of the rooms and laid you down.
You could hear Michael and Polly arguing. You knew Michael wanted to be with you when you gave birth since he was their for Anna’s birth. As another contraction hit you someone ran into the room and began to soothingly rub your back.
You looked and saw that it was Michael which made you sigh in relief.
“Michael you aren’t going to leave me are you,” You whimpered while some tears travelled down your face. Michael soothed you while wiping away you’re tears.
“Don’t worry love I’m not going anywhere,” Michael whispered in your ear.
You smile but let out a moan when you felt another contraction hit. You could feel them getting closer and closer.
Polly and Ada came up with some supplies and got you ready and when she said push you pushed with all your might.
It took about 5 minutes before one of your babies were out. You let out a breath before letting out a sigh but knowing it wasn’t over.
“It’s a girl,” Ada smile at you while Polly cut the cord. She wrapped the baby in a blanket while handing her to Michael. Michael started down at you’re daughter in awe.
It was broke as you felt another contraction hit you. Polly told you to push and Michael was by your side with your second daughter. Trying to comfort you while holding the baby. Ada took the baby from Michael knowing that you need some comfort.
“I can’t do it,” You sobbed as you leaned back on the bed and wiped the tears from your eyes.
“Don’t worry darling just a few more pushes and you’ll be done,” Michael cooed you.
You nodded before pushing again and only a few minutes later another baby was out you let out a happy sigh while leaning back on the pillow sweat coating your body.
“Another girl,” Polly whispered handing her to you after she cut the cord. Ada handed Michael the first baby and you looked at your babies in awe.
Ada and Polly left you alone for some privacy.
“They’re so beautiful,” You whispered while kissing your daughters nose.
Michael was about to respond before you guys heard someone say, “Mommy,” You looked up and and saw Anna standing there with a smile on her face.
“Come here sweet heart say hi to your sisters,” Michael smile as your first daughter came over to you and tried getting on the bed but failed a few times before succeeding. She went up to lay next to you staring at the new baby.
“What should we name them,” You ask while looking at Michael trying to wrap your arm around Anna with a baby in your arm.
“How ‘bout we both name one,” Michael suggested. You nodded and Michael whispered “Emily.”
“That’s a beautiful name Michael,” You whispered as Michael came and sat down next to you guys. “I’m thinking for this one Rose,” You suggested with a smile.
“I love it,” Michael pressed a small kiss to your lips.
You guys chuckled quietly when you heard Anna start to snore and you weren’t to far behind her.
Michael smiles warmly at all of you. His family.

MidCin: He spends time with your child.
Louis:
When Y/n first got pregnant, she and her husband decided, that although they have maids, they want to take care of their child.
So when Y/n had to attend matters in town, Louis was left to take care of their son Lucas, who had just gotten faster on his feet and started talking.
“Dada, come” Lucas giggled as he ran in the palace halls as fast as his little legs could carry him.
However, his father was much faster than him. Louis sighed as he picked up his son, kissing the top of his head.
“Where?” Louis asked.
“Oudsite” Lucas said pointing out the window.
“Outside, buddy,” Louis pronounced, “but you’re getting there.”
Louis took his son out to the garden and would chase the giggling child.
“Flower, mama.” Lucas pointed at the roses.
“You want to pick flowers for mama?” Louis smiled when Lucas nodded, “okay buddy, let’s pick some roses for mama.”
When Y/n got to the palace around lunchtime, she saw her husband and son at the entrance, Lucas in his father’s arms, holding a bouquet of roses in his little hands.
“Mama!” Lucas squealed when he saw his mom, Louis sat him down, which resulted in the toddler running to Y/n
Y/n picked him up and kissed his cheek, “Did you have a fun day with Daddy?”
Lucas nodded and put the roses in his mother’s face.
“He wanted to pick them for you.” Louis smiled as he made his way to his wife and child.
During lunch, Y/n listened to Lucas blabber what he and his father did while she was gone.
Louis smiled, though the morning was mostly spent chasing the toddler around the palace, he wouldn’t change any of it for the world.
Sid:
Based on Sid’s sugar ending.
Sid’s whole life changed when he fell in love with Y/n, after all, he left everything behind to be with her. But Sid didn’t mind, he didn’t like the aristocracy life anyway.
When Y/n told him that she was pregnant, Sid was more than happy. And throughout the pregnancy, he made sure everything was ready, he worked so hard that he started to stress himself out.
Even more so when Y/n went into labor. Sid was in a daze, while he held Y/n’s hand, he felt like it was just a dream.
But then he heard his little girl’s cry as she finally entered the world. That’s when reality hit him. This was real. His family was real. And he couldn’t be happier.
When the midwife laid the baby girl on Y/n’s chest, Sid vowed that he would never forget that sight. His wife holding their baby for the first time. His whole world was in that room, both his wife and his daughter.
Sid and Y/n decided on the name, Chloe.
After the skin to skin moment between mother and child, Sid got to hold the baby. He wasn’t so sure at first, afraid to hurt her, but after reassurance from Y/n, Sid gently held onto his daughter.
She felt so small and fragile in his arms. He couldn’t believe that this little bundle of joy was his. He smiled down at Chloe, then held the same smile as he looked over at his wife, who shared the same smile as she watched her husband hold their baby.
Sid noticed how tired she looked. “Get some sleep, I’ll watch over her.”
“Okay, but if you get tired, put her in her crib and sleep too.” Y/n yawned.
“I will, honey,” Sid replied, “thank you for this life we share, and for our beautiful baby. I love ya.”
“I love you too.” Y/n smiled before falling asleep.
As Y/n slept, Sid rocked their baby girl back and forth. A smile on his face, even tears in his deep blue eyes.
“I promise I will always protect you and your mom. I promise to give you the best life. I love ya, Chloe.”
A few minutes later, Chloe started to whimper a little. “Shhh, it’s okay, darlin’, daddy’s got ya. Want to look out the window?”
“See those little glow things in the sky, those are stars.” Sid pointed out “and there’s the moon, that’s what night looks like, and during the day, the sky is blue, there are white fluffy clouds, your mom says clouds remind her of cotton candy, you’re still too young for that, but when you’re older I’ll get you some.”
After a few more minutes, Sid decided it was time to get some sleep before Chloe would decide to wake up again.
Once he laid down next to his wife and wrapped an arm around her, Sid look at the crib by their bed and smiled before falling asleep.
Leo:
Based on his sugar ending.
Leo woke up early and made his way to Sophie’s crib, seeing that the one-year-old was awake.
“We have to be quiet mommy is still sleeping.” Leo shushed his daughter, who grinned up at him.
Very quietly, he carried Sophie to the living room. And sat her on his lap.
“Okay, I’m going to teach you a word,” Leo said in a small voice, “say, da-da.”
“Da-da,” Leo turned his head to the squawk in the corner of the living room.
“Not you Sebastian.” Leo groaned before looking back down at his daughter.
“Say it. Baby,” Leo laughed, “da-da.”
“Ma-ma,” Sophie spoke.
Her first word.
Leo didn’t care that she didn’t say Dada, he was just happy she spoke her first word.
“That’s my girl,” Leo cheered.
“First word,” Sebastian squawked.
Leo danced with his daughter around the room.
“This time say,” Leo grinned, “da-da.”
“Ma-ma,” said Sophie.
“Ha, Leo.” Sebastian fluttered in his cage.
“I’m dada,” Leo tickled his baby, “mama is sleeping.”
Then Leo came up with an idea.
“Say mama,” Leo smiled.
“Mama,” Sophie smiled back.
Leo sighed, “we’ll try again later, but now we should let your mommy know you said your first word.”
Though Sophie didn’t say da-da, Leo was proud either way.
He would get her to say it soon anyway
However, Sophie’s second word was Bastion, meaning to say Sebastian.
Leo groaned when he heard it.
Rayvis:
When Y/n first got pregnant, she and her husband decided, that although they have maids, they want to care for their child.
Rayvis had finished his work early so that he could spend some time with his family.
However, Y/n had got held up with some work, so it would just be him and their daughter Anna for a couple of hours.
Rayvis went to the library where Anna was having a lesson with Giles about French.
"How is she doing?" Rayvis asked.
"Splendid." Giles explained, "even better than me when I was her age, soon she'll be speaking sentences.
"Great job, honey." Rayvis ruffled his daughter's hair.
"You've come just on time too, here lessons are done for the day." Giles grinned before he bowed and left the room.
"Can we go play with Rook in the garden?" Anna asked,
"Yes we can, he'll love that." Rayvis smiled gently, "your mother got caught up in some work, but she'll be done in a couple of hours, then we all can do something together."
"That's okay." the younger girl smiled.
Rayvis was already laying in the garden when the daughter and father got out there.
The wolf mix wagged his tail happily. And ran up to Anna, licking her face.
"Sit boy." Anna giggled "I got your favorite ball."
Together, Rayvis and Anna ran around in the garden, with Rook chasing after them, howling with fun
"I'll distract him, you go hide and we'll try to find you." Rayvis smiled.
While Rayvis had Rook distracted, Anna ran to find a place to hide.
She decided the castle would be best. Trying to think of a place, Anna ran to her mom's study and hid under the desk, confusing Y/n.
Anna told her that she is hiding from her father and the wolf mix.
Y/n decided the best way to hide where her daughter was, was to continue reading the documents.
Sometime later, Y/n's study door opened, revealing her husband and Rook.
"Have you seen Anna?" Rayvis asked.
"Not since lunch." Y/n kept her eyes on the paper.
"Really?" Rayvis smirked.
"Yeah," Y/n continued to read.
"Then why is Rook sniffing around your desk?"
"I snuck snacks earlier," Y/n remarked like it should be a fact.
"Get her Rook." Rayvis walked over to the desk.
Rook put his head under the desk and started to like Anna's face.
Rayvis smirked at his wife when he heard their daughter's giggles.
"Oh, when did she get under there?" Y/n looked confused.
"This makes me scared of when she gets interested in boys." Rayvis sighed.
Anna giggled. Which made Rayvis and Y/n look at each other.
"I hope she doesn't sneak out," Rayvis whispered.
"Like mother, like daughter," Y/n whispered back.
Rayvis smiled. He was taken back to when he and Y/n met, a lot has changed since he caught her from falling down the stairs, but he wouldn't change it for the world. He had gotten a beautiful wife and daughter out of it.
Byron:
When Y/n first got pregnant, she and her husband decided, that although they have maids, they want to care for their child.
Byron was in his study about to go to join Y/n in their shared room, it was a busy day and the King of Stein wanted nothing more than to sleep with Y/n in his arms.
The door opened, drawing his attention. That's when he saw Emma slowly walking in, holding a book in one hand, and itching her eye in the other.
"I thought you were in bed? Are you okay?" Byron asked his daughter.
Emma nodded as she crawled up into her father's lap, resting her cheek against his chest, "can't sleep, can you read to me?"
Though he was really tired, Byron couldn't turn down those puppy eyes that match her mother's.
Byron smiled fondly when he opened the picture book, it was the story about the girl and wolf.
It was Emma's favorite like it was Y/n.
Byron started to read the book as Emma got comfortable. He was also fighting to stay awake.
He knew that ever since Y/n got pregnant with their second child, Emma started to feel that once the baby was here, she would be left out. So he wanted to make Emma know that she doesn't have to be afraid of that happening.
"I also had a nightmare, can I sleep with you can mommy?" Emma asked after a few more minutes.
"Yeah, you can." Byron patted her head, "do you want to talk about it?"
"There's a monster under my bed." Emma furrowed her eyebrows.
"There's no monster, honey," Byron spoke softly.
"Are you sure?" Emma asked hesitantly
"Of course! Even if there were monsters, I have a whole army of knights ready to protect you. And mommy and I would protect you too."
Emma nodded and Byron resumed reading. After a few more pages, Byron noticed that his daughter fell asleep,
He gently picked the little girl up in his arms and carried her to his and Y/n's room.
He laid her down between him and Y/n, who was already asleep, a hand on her growing baby bump.
Byron grinned, thankful for his family, he kissed the top of his wife and daughter's heads, and then placed his hand on Y/n's baby bump before falling into a peaceful, much-needed sleep.
Alyn:
Based on the sugar end, I don't know all of it, so I'm taking a guess.
It has been a couple of years since Alyn and Y/n ran away together, going as far from Wysteria as possible, getting married, and soon after bringing their son Liam into the world.
It was Y/n's birthday, so Alyn got up early, as did Liam. The little boy wanted to do something special, so he and Alyn decided to make breakfast in bed.
"We have to be quiet okay?" Alyn told his son as he helped him up on the chair so Liam could see over the counter.
"Can I help mix?" Liam asked.
"Of course little man." Alyn handed the wooden spoon over to his son.
Alyn would hold the bowl and Liam would mix, letting him know to mix a little harder and faster.
"I hope mom likes it," Liam spoke as he watched his dad put the batter into the pan.
"She will, especially if she knows you made it," Alyn reassured the little boy who resembled his mother.
"I drew her a picture too," Liam smiled.
"She will love it, she loves your drawings," Alyn ruffled Liam's hair "you can give it to mom when we give her the breakfast."
After the food was made, Liam followed his dad to his parent's room.
Liam jumped on the bed and put his arms around Y/n, "Mom, wake up, it's your birthday!"
Y/n slowly opened her eyes before stretching.
"Good morning baby," Y/n kissed the top of Liam's head.
She smiled when she saw her husband leaning against the doorframe, holding the tray of food. Alyn smiled back and walked over to her and sitting the tray on her lap.
"Happy Birthday, my love."
As the family ate their breakfast in bed, Alyn watched over them, smiling, he and Y/n went through a lot, but he wouldn't change the life he had now for anything.
Nico:
When Y/n first got pregnant, she and her husband decided, that although they have maids, they want to care for their child.
Nico sat in his daughter's room as she put a hat on top of his head. He smiled as Grace sat up the little table with her stuffed animals that her uncle King Byron gifted her on his recent visit.
Earlier, while Nico was finishing up work, Grace had gone up to her father, asking him if he could play tea party with her. Nico immediately agreed.
So there he sat, dressed as a pretty princess, just to make his little girl happy.
"Your tea," Grace did a little bow before pouring a little tea in her father's teacup. Nico noticed her face twist in pain.
"What happened?" He asked alarmed.
"Teapot is still hot." Grace whimpered as she held her hand.
"Let me see." Nico gently grabbed her hand to examine it, "aww baby, let's go run it under cold water."
Nico would carry the little girl to her connected bathroom and put her hand under cold water.
"It hurts." Grace cried.
Nico would hold her close, whispering reassurance in her ear, "It's okay, when I use to pour tea for your mom, I would do the same."
Once Grace's hand felt better, Nico would carry her pack to their little tea party and would pour the rest of the tea.
He could sense Grace was still upset so he would try to do silly things to make her laugh.
After Grace didn't feel any more pain, she was more lively. More so that she wanted to play princess fairy pirates.
Though that meant dressing up more, Nico didn't mind, even if it meant he had to wear fairy wings.
Nico would do anything to see his daughter happy, even if it meant playing princess fairy pirates and having a tea party with stuffed animals.
Albert:
When Y/n first got pregnant, she and her husband decided, that although they have maids, they want to care for their child.
Albert had woken up early, Y/n still asleep by him.
Last night, Albert had promised his son that he would teach him how to be like a knight.
Y/n said as long as they practice with wooden swords.
Albert kissed the top of Y/n's head before climbing out of bed and getting dressed.
Finn was already outside waiting with the wooden swords that Alyn had laid out for them the night before.
"Okay, you hold a sword like this," Albert showed, "it helps it move easily while you still have control over it."
"Like this?" Finn asked trying to mimic his dad.
"Yes, very good." Albert approved, "now you stand like this. It helps you keep balance, helps you stay standing and strong."
Albert walked around Finn, giving him pointers on his posture.
As Albert taught Finn how to fight, he also taught him the rules of a knight.
"Good job, buddy." Albert praised, "you're a natural."
Albert let Finn practice on him.
He took it easy on the young boy.
Albert could help but smile, he was so proud of his strong, determined son.
After a playful fight, they fell to the ground laughing.
"You did amazing for your first day." Albert ruffled his son's hair as they walked to the dining room.
"Thanks Dad," Finn smiled, "I want to be just like you when I'm older."
During breakfast, Finn told Y/n all about the morning with his dad.
Y/n agreed on her husband and son showing her later.
She cheered Finn on the whole time.
Wanting his son to be happy, Albert faked a fall, letting Finn win.
"Pretty soon you'll be better than me," Albert told his son.
While Y/n wasn't paying attention, Albert nudged Finn's shoulder and leaned down to whisper, "want to go sneak attack Nico?"
Finn nodded and Albert couldn't be more proud.
Giles:
When Y/n first got pregnant, she and her husband decided, that although they have maids, they want to care for their child.
When Y/n told Giles that she was pregnant, he was beyond happy.
Even more so when he heard the cries of a healthy baby girl.
Got confused Y/n confessed to feeling the need to push more.
Then it hit him.
They're having twins.
It was another healthy baby girl.
As they got older, they shared their father's love for cats.
So one day, while Giles and Y/n were in town for business, they took Lilly and Lara with them.
Y/n had a meeting to go to while in town, so the twins stayed with their father.
The three of them walked around town, talking to the townspeople and looking at all the different shops.
The five years old twins, saw someone selling kittens.
Both of them turned to stare up at their father.
With puppy eyes.
Giles lost.
He bought the girls the kittens, who happened to also be twins.
Giles knew Y/n wouldn't mind since they were talking about kitting the girls a pet, to help give them responsibilities.
While Giles carried the box with the kittens, he taught his daughters what the cats would need.
Later that night, Giles on the floor in the library with the girls around him, playing with the kittens.
Michelangelo was jealous, so he went and sat on Y/n's lap, who was readying a book, watching her small family have fun.
"Okay, girls," Giles explained smiling at them, "in a little bit, during dinner, we need to let them get used to the palace."
During dinner, Giles would tell the girls facts about cats.
Robert:
Robert thought that Peter was finally old enough to hold a paintbrush.
So while he had some free time, Robert took his son to his paint room.
The child was amazed by all the colors in the room.
"Mom?" He pointed at a painting Robert did of Y/n sometime after he and got engaged.
"Yeah, that's your mommy." Robert smiled.
Robert sat Peter on his lap in front of the easel that held a black canvas.
Robert picked up a brush and dipped the tip into some paint.
He did a little line on the canvas, showing Peter how to use it.
Peter made grabby hands with his chubby little hands, giggling with amazement.
Robert handed the boy the brush and moved Peter's hand to the paint.
"And now you move it across the canvas," Robert explained, "we'll do it like this for now and when you get older I'll teach you more about painting."
Robert watched with pride as his son had the time of his life decorating with all kinds of different colors.
"When this is done drying, do you want to give it to mom?" Robert asked.
"Yeah," Peter spoke before rubbing his hands all over the still wet canvas, smearing paint all over it.
Robert's eyes widened, but his lips turned into a smile, once he heard Peter's giggles.
"Well, that's one way to do it." Robert snickered.
Robert let Peter paint until he was done.
"Good job, buddy." Robert praised as he kissed the top of his son's head.
From that moment, on Robert loved teaching his son how to paint.

"im floating with the birds im talking to the weeds look what youve done to me"
Hi,
Sitting on my couch, watching ESPN. Damn, it’s good to be home. Things have been pretty crazy the last 6 months. As a lot of you know, we were dropped by our label — we went and recorded a new record, labels became interested, [and] we decided to release it ourselves. We went on tour, and now I’m [...] home for the next week: my first week off in six months. What do I do?
Well, my roommate and I got memberships to the YMCA down the street from our house. It’s an amazing place. Downtown Phoenix is pretty much an amazing place. It’s not like the rest of the state — speaking of which, I’m declaring war on Scottsdale, it’s the opposite of Downtown Phoenix.
Anyways, so I wake up at 9am every morning. I don’t know what it is, really — I’ve been a "pro" musician for about 3 years now, [and] we are supposed to wake up at 11 or 12. I know some dudes that wake up at 1, but no; since I’ve been home the last few days, I’ve been going to bed at 1 and waking up at 9. My roommate has a job, [so] I think it has to do with that.
See, there are 3 showers total in our house. I have the big bedroom, so I have the big shower, [and] since I’ve been off on tour and recording, he has gotten used to the nice shower in my room (Which is fine — anyone that’s gotten close to me knows I’m not too fond of showers, so it’s not like I use it that much). So every morning around 8:45, I wake up to my door opening and my roommate going through my room to use the shower.
You know what it’s like when you’re half asleep but you want to act like you’re awake so as not to freak someone out with all the crazy babble, but you just end up saying all the same crazy babble? I do that every morning. I turn and look at him and try to act like I wasn’t just dreaming about tootsie rolls and parrots that shatter like glass. "Hey [Roommate's Name], that was some game last night" [is what usually] comes out of my mouth — something to that extent — and I think he feels sorry for me, but continues to walk right into my bathroom, and use the shower.
At this point, I’m awake. I usually have to pee, and I have to then use his restroom. It’s a terrible swap, and it always ends with me wide awake on my front porch (har har) smoking a cigarette and wondering how the hell I’m gonna fall back asleep when the air conditioning is broken. Ah, what a wonderful life at home, [but] that’s the weird thing — I love it. Now we wake up and we go to the [YMCA]. We run, we play basketball, we jump in the pool, we play pool basketball, we get yelled at for dunking the ball. We don’t use soap before we go into the sauna, and the night usually ends with a poker tournament. This is the life I love to live when I’m away from the road. It too is the opposite of Scottsdale. It’s who I am, [and] it’s pretty much who I’ve become.
See, for the last 23 years, it’s been about the highs and the lows for me. I’ve got an addictive personality, [so] I stay away from a lot of things because of this; however, when I find things, I get generally excited. I go crazy. It’s all I think about and all I do for the next howeverlong. For the first 23 years, it was either talking non-stop or locking myself in my room. It’s either great or terrible; not good or bad. Dog Problems changed that.
Initially, Dog Problems was supposed to be that — the original concept of Dog Problems was to be 2 sides of music, the first half taking over where Interventions [+ Lullabies] had left off: "We'll be together in the morning…"
We weren’t, in fact. We were over before Interventions was even released. We were over two weeks after it was recorded, [and] I spent the next 2 years feeling terrible. We got back together… we broke up… we got dogs… we broke up… we got back together and got dogs…
I was still miserable, but I wanted Dog Problems to get me through everything. I wanted it to help me, not anyone else — just me. The first side was supposed to be me down in the dumps [and] everything that went down: how the two of us were dealing with it differently, [and] the second half was supposed to be a realization.
The first inkling of realization was a day [when] we were on tour. We were all laughing about something I’m sure Marko or Adam said. Here I was supposed to be depressed, but the fact that I can spend all of my days in different states with my best friends, all of us doing what we love — that was major! Then my mom called… I’ve got my parents! My friends! What else could I possibly need?
At that point, I felt as if a relationship in a Michael Bolton sort of way didn’t mean anything. It was the people you surrounded yourself with — those were the people that made the difference, and that was going to be side two. I was convinced that when I just closed my eyes and thought about the wonderful people around me, I was going to be great. Not good, [but] great.
I didn’t get that far, no. I got back into the relationship.
I was sure it was going to work. At that point, life would be perfect, and we all want perfection right? [But] things went right back to far from perfect. Things went to terrible. I couldn’t stop feeling sorry for myself, but I had a concept. At that point, I figured that even by singing and recording these positive songs I was going to feel better, so Sam showed me what was then just a short acoustic guitar version of Snails.
This was it. This was my first chance to prove to myself that life can be beautiful. The thing is, I had never been more miserable. I remember writing the lyrics to Snails: my roommate was at work, I was on the bed, on my night stand was a giant bottle of booze, and somewhere off in California she wasn’t calling me back on a Friday night. So I went to work, listened [to it] over and over. I wanted to get it right; I wanted to be positive. I passed out, then I woke up the next morning [with a] big headache (P.S. drinking is not really that cool; it’s cool when you condemn it for the first 22 years of your life, then it becomes not cool, then it becomes ok when you moderate yourself) and I started writing everything positive I could think of. [...] Snails was, in Sam’s mind, supposed to be a 2 minute kid’s song, [but] I wrote so much that there was no going back. I thought that was it — Snails solved all of my problems.
It didn’t get that far either. Nothing could shake the depression, [and] I really started to worry about myself. Here I want to feel great, but I only feel terrible, [and] a few months later it got really really bad. I had to go to my parents house that night, I didn’t want to be at my house. I wanted to feel like a kid.
It’s funny how we always want to be adults when we're younger. We want to drive cars, we want to have girlfriends. I still didn’t consider myself an adult — all I wanted was to come home, be tucked in, know that everything was going to be alright. I woke up the next day [and found out] she met someone new. I’ve got to figure myself out…
In the meantime, we've got 4 songs we are recording over at our friend Aaron’s house (he is an amazing producer and [...] musician, and his house and his roommates have gotten me through a lot of tough times. They’re some of the only people I know who would rather spend their Saturdays getting dinner and watching a movie instead of going to a party. I like that). All of this turmoil in my relationship was going on at the time, and I was trying to write side two [but] I couldn’t. There was more fuel to side one. These songs have to be done, so I wrote about what I knew, and at that point I knew how to feel terrible.
So much for side two. Dog Problems is going to be one giant mess of depression and "look what you’ve done to me".
Atlantic got those four songs, as well as a few others. They were not psyched, to say the least, but some people at the label actually cared about it enough to say "go record". So we were able to pick our producer, we met with a few people, talked to a few more. Things were looking up. Dog Problems was going to happen.
I remember meeting Steve McDonald at his house — Sam and I were excited to be [there] because we knew his wife Anna would probably be there. Anna was the lead singer/songwriter for a band we used to obsess about called "That Dog", her brother was one of the ten drummers in the world that I actually liked, so Steve couldn't be so bad. And he wanted to produce our record, so he had to be pretty cool!
He was just that, and more. Sam and I were eating every word that came out of his mouth. He had stories; he was young, hip, energetic, and yet very all knowing. We saw someone that was going to let us do whatever we wanted to do, and in the meantime he was going to make us laugh and make sure we didn't lose our minds. From that point on, I knew there was someone I could always trust. I made a friend pretty quick.
Things were moving forward. Steve McDonald was to be the producer. I hated Los Angeles so there was no way in hell I was going to record there, [so] we decided Palm Springs would be perfect. Weird, but perfect. I had a phone conversation with Steve that night and we were finalizing everything. I was going to call Atlantic in the morning and let them know just how everything was going to work, [but] I didn't get that far.
I was sleeping in a blowup bed at the house when my phone rang. I didn’t wake up and answer like it was my roommate and he was coming into my room to use my shower, [because] this call felt different. Right away, I was awake.
It was our manager: "You’ve been dropped."
When I heard that, the first thought going through my mind wasn’t "Oh man...how are we going to be famous now and make boat loads of money?" It was more like "fuck...but Dog Problems. We were supposed to go make Dog Problems."
The thing is, Atlantic wasn’t into Dog Problems. They were into whatever it was they thought we were. Never had The First Single made more sense — what was supposed to be a song about getting the band started and doing something with it had actually turned into a song about how stuck we were in the labels eyes because of the song. I was past that; we're proud of something we wrote when we were 19 and 20, but when I think of music, I think of progression.
I think of all of the wonderful records I had been introduced to when I had nothing to do riding in a van. I think of all of the new influences, all the instruments, all of the "How did they do that?" And I think of how much it gets me through everything.
Music has been the consecutive[ly] great[est] thing in my life. It’s been that one thing, and with Dog Problems, it wasn’t about "I want everyone to sing along because I can write a catchy song." It was about feeling. It was paying tribute to all of the bands that we obsessively listened to. It was for Harry Nilsson and Van Dyke Parks, it was for Jellyfish and XTC. It was our way of saying thanks for making our lives better, whether it be lyrically or musically. It was never about being something, being told something, and sticking to something. It was an adventure, for the artist and for the listener.
[And] they didn't get that. They wanted the old record, the old songs, just with different words and a few different chords here and there. They didn’t care about Snails or Dog problems [or] what it meant to write those songs. They knew it wasn't going to be huge; the guitars were not big enough (if big guitars are your thing that’s fine, it’s just not really our thing right now); it wasn’t going to be competitive, and so they dropped us. And rightfully so: we weren’t going to change, and obviously the major label business is never going to change, [so] now it comes down to who goes down first. And we weren’t ready to go down.
Sam and I had conversations about it, whether the business end of things have been fucking with us so much that we'll never be sane enough to just enjoy it. We thought about getting out — it wasn’t [be]cause we hated each other, or the songs; it was because we hated the business.
Steve called to let us know that he was still onboard, label or not, [and] we let him know we were still on board. We were going to make this record, [and] I was going to feel great! But the record was going to cost something. How could we afford it?
We were lucky that we had a management company like Nettwerk. Not only are they the most forward-thinking music business people around, [but] they’re also (for the most part) Canadian. Oh, and they care a shit load about the music we make. They could have waited for the ship to sink, but they told us they would pay for the record if need be. Fortunately, we were able to get money for getting dropped — Atlantic actually paid us to leave, so we could afford the recording ourselves. The only stipulation was that it had to be done quicker, and when you want something quick, you have to go to the "right here, right now" capitol of the world: Los Angeles. I was a little irked at the thought at first, then Steve said it was his personal goal to make LA a wonderful city for me. Like I said, I would jump off a cliff if Steve said it was the best way to get coffee, but I wasn’t jumping off of cliffs. I was too excited to make Dog Problems, [so] LA it was.
Sam and I moved to the "Silver Palace" in Silverlake California in the middle of December. We found an amazing studio in Burbank, California and an amazing engineer in Ken Sluiter, and our goal was to just do everything free from a record label and someone constantly messing up the recording process by saying things like "that’s not high octave enough". The only pressure we had at all was from our manager saying "You have a tour you accepted in March, [so] get it done by then.” Other than that, it was me, Sam, Steve, and Ken working 13 hours a day for 6 days a week.
It became our lives we were putting so much of ourselves into. Everyone that worked and played on the record was the same way when they were there contributing. I would leave the studio at 2 in the morning and wake up at 10 to be at the studio by 11. There was no free time — the four of us were so invested in this. We all bought into the concept.
In the meantime, things outside of the studio were getting interesting. We had a lot of labels calling and constantly asking about it. During one week of recording, I remember at least 3 different label people coming down to the studio. Our minds weren’t made up as to what we were doing with the record once it was recorded — all we wanted to do was finish it — but we kept our options open and let people sit in the big chair and listen to what we had been working on. The response was overwhelmingly positive, but we didn’t really think about it too much beyond the compliments we were receiving. Sam and I got used to LA — I was 10 minutes away from where I had been the previous summer when I was back "on" in my “on and off" relationship. I was ten minutes from her, she was calling every day, I was singing about it… but how was it not getting to me? Why did I not care?
My phone was off. I woke up in Silverlake one morning and started wondering why for the last month I had a smile on my face. Sure, I was down at times, but the thing that had been bringing me down for 3 years was now the last thing on my mind. Apparently, it had been that way for awhile. Something that took 3 years to get over… I was finally just okay with it. No big realization — just the fact that things happen. People make mistakes. And I came out of it alright. I was good; not great… I was good, and that felt good.
I wasn’t looking for great anymore. I was okay. The last song on Dog Problems is all about that. Here, this record was supposed to be the downs, and the ups, and it ended with the middle: the realization that I don’t need to be talking; I don’t need to be locked in my room — I need to enjoy what’s going on around me. And if things go wrong, they go wrong. There’s always tomorrow.
Dog Problems means so much to me in so many different ways. I’ve never been more proud of anything in my life. I cried so many times during the making of the record. All the money I had spent on therapy, and all I had to do was go make a record, realize that I’m alright, and realize that I made something that I’ll forever be proud of.
Shit… the record was supposed to be about how California can change you for the worse, [but] it played a huge part in doing the opposite!
So as we were putting the finishing touches on the record (all our friends came in and recorded! A ton of people we admired came and worked on the record! All of their responses were so positive that it's hard not to get an ego about it. These are the people I worship. They’re the ones I wanted to pay tribute to, and they think we've made something unique and special. It’s like Michael Jordan telling you that you have a nice jump shot (no more sports references… I swear I’m done)) and we started to think about what we were going to do with it. How we were going to release it. Labels were getting pretty into it, and we knew we would have to make a decision soon.
After much debate and discussion, we decided that the record was something we had made completely on our own, so why not release it completely on our own? Nettwerk was going to take care of the distribution so it would have a major label distro. It would be inside all of the Best Buys; what more did we want? We didn’t want a big fat check — we did that last time. It made us miserable, and nothing came out of it. Barely anyone at the labels helped us, we weren’t making music videos, our songs weren’t on the radio, so why would we take their criticism? After all, everything that we’ve done — any success we’ve had is from being real people who make music. From showing up to play, from 3 years on the road.
On Interventions [+ Lullabies], there might have been an Elektra logo on the back of the record, but it ended right there. We were the ones SHOWING people who we were. I wouldn’t have it any other way — no one knows us better than ourselves, so why not release it ourselves? To me, it’s not only a testament to the hard work we put into the band (Mike, Don, Marko, Toco, everyone else involved in putting these songs to life — you guys are the best thing we have. It’s pretty special when your best friends are some of the most talented musicians), but I really feel like the people who come to our shows are such good people that they don’t give a fuck what label it’s on.
They are there because we are doing something positive, and because we care about them as much as they care about us. So for the time being we've said "fuck the middleman": we're the only people we can blame at this point. I’m so tired of even talking about major labels and the split and everything like this. The music is the only thing I care about. Dog Problems is the only thing I care about, so why let someone else ruin it?
The Vanity Label was born.
The record got finished. We had no time to rehearse, and we had to go right back out to tour. Our first show before the Motion City Soundtrack tour was in Nashville — I remember the last time we were in Nashville, there were about ten kids. Reuben’s accomplice kept asking them why they hate whales, so we figured why not go there and get some of the rust out of the way. After all, we haven't toured in a year so there should be like 3 kids there; we can mess up if need be.
Unfortunately, we were not allowed to mess up. On a Sunday night in Nashville, with Ted Leo playing across the street (I <3 Ted), our first headlining show outside of Arizona in almost a year was over sold out. What the fuck happened?
We thought we were going to have to play for another 3 years just to get back to where we were when we left, and yet it’s sold out on a Sunday night? It didn’t end there either — the whole tour went like that… night after night ("nite after nite?"). I couldn't believe it. As if having Dog Problems wasn’t enough, now we have people showing their support in the most positive way: coming to the shows, being there from the only thing they knew before. Those two months were such good months. It was the last thing I expected. Thanks so much to all the bands that played with us, and thanks so much for everyone that came to the shows and sang along. We'll be back in July.
In the meantime, things were going great on the Vanity Label front. Business actually felt natural. We are shooting a video with the directors we had always dreamed of doing a video with (it won’t be serious...no pouty face). There were magazines like AP and online magazines like AP taking notice, supporting the whole idea and concept. We actually took press photos. I’ve never been through any of this before, it’s exciting. I don’t think it’s going to change who we are, not one bit, but it’s still exciting to see people who can help out actually help out.
So where does that leave me now? Sitting on my bed. I’ve rambled for hours, the air still doesn't work, and I’ve been told that Dog Problems (something that isn't supposed to come out till July) has been leaked. Not the best news when you just got out of the pool, but it happens. I freaked out at first — I thought I was going to lock myself in my room. After all, this is something that we spent over two years making. It’s something that you have to take the time… listen to in headphones… play loud… listen to in order of the tracks… the artwork… Sam did the best artwork he has ever done. The packaging is something we paid extra for because Sam’s concept was so brilliant, and now… it’s leaked on the internet? I was locking my door, then our manager called.
"Hello?"
"We're releasing it on the website today."
"Wow."
So, here goes. You’ve read enough. I shouldn’t have to go on about it anymore, but I will say, if you wanna wait for the full hard copy release then do so. It’s July 11 — we are gonna be touring right after that — but if you want to get it now,.please do it by purchasing it right here. We released it, it’s our money, it’s our little baby — you should take the time to listen to it all the way through, free of distraction. You should turn the songs into your own. It’s an adventure, and it’s something that we put everything we have into; and if anyone deserves it first, it’s you guys who have been here with us all along.
Without further ado...
"Dog Problems"

deal | seven
summary: when your step-mom unexpectedly offers you a deal you can’t resist, you decide to give her a taste of her own medicine by seducing her potential suitor, Im Jaebum.
one (m) | two | three (m) | four (m) | five | six (m) | seven | eight (m) | nine | ten | eleven | twelve (m) | thirteen | fourteen | fifteen | sixteen | seventeen - final |
You woke up to a feeling of gentle pecks on your shoulder. It was still dark outside, but Jaebum was already awake. “What time is it?” you mumbled, still half asleep.
“5am,” he whispered in your ear as he pulled your naked body closer to his.
“So early,” you complained, snuggling closer to him. You reached for his arms pulling them close to your breast. He gentle strokes your nipples with his thumb as he kisses the back of your neck. Waking up in his arms was too comfortable, you could get use to this.
“I have to get home before Minguk wakes up for breakfast,” he revealed before climbing on top of you. Jaebum climbs in between your legs, scooping your body up to meet his so he can pull you in for a tender kiss. “You going to be okay getting home yourself?” he asked, pulling slightly away from you.
You nodded, “I’ll catch a taxi.” Jaebum smiles down at you while brushing your baby hair out of your face.
“Don’t forget you start work today,” he reminded as he gave your nose a peck before getting up out of the bed. You fall back into the bed, hugging the comforter close to your naked body. A while later, Jaebum comes back into the room with a towel wrapped around his waist, his body and hair still wet from the shower. He looked so good.
“Mmmm daddy,” you purred, making him smirk. He quickly climbs on top of you, water dripping from his hair.
"You know what that does to me,” he growled, leaning down to attack your neck with wet kisses. You giggled, pushing him slightly away.
“You’re not going to make it for breakfast,” you reminded him. He lets out a small sigh, giving you one last kiss before getting up to get changed.
“See you at home,” he smiles at you before leaving. The room instantly became quiet and lonely without him. You tired going back to sleep, but couldn’t. The bed wasn’t as comfortable without him. You decided it was probably a good idea to head home, and get ready for your first day of work.
You tried to be as quiet as you could while sneaking into the house, but was quickly caught by an energetic Minguk and a grumpy Eunbi.
“Look at you. Staying out all night,” Eunbi looks at you in disgust as Minguk runs to you. You smiled down at him, quickly picking him up in your arms.
“Good morning cutie,” you smiled at Minguk who instantly wrapped his arms around your neck.
“It’s time for breakfast,” Minguk reveals. You set him down on the floor and watched him run to the dining table where Jaebum was already seated.
“I’m watching you ,” Eunbi glares before bumping into you. You followed her inside to where Jaebum was.
“Can I get a ride to work?” you asked him as if you didn’t just spend the night with him. You did your best to act normal between you two, and you could tell he was trying too.
“What you’re starting today? I thought you were kidding about it,” Eunbi asked in disbelief.
“Sure, I’m leaving in 30 minutes,” Jaebum said casually. You nodded and quickly went upstairs to get changed. You picked out a nice top and a skirt with some heels - this should be good enough for work.
“How do I look?” you asked Jaebum in the car. He turns to take a quick glance at you. He smiles reaching over to touch your thigh.
“Beautiful,” he compliments, giving your thigh a light squeeze. He brings your hand up to his lips to give you a kiss. You smile at his simple gesture. “When we get to the office, I’m your boss and that’s the only relationship we have there,” he reminded.
“I know Mr. Im,” you teased, removing his hand from your thigh. “We’ll be professional during work hours. I understand.”
Jaebum introduced you to the receptionist and his assistant, Anna, who was in charge of your work. “What can I help you with?” you asked politely. She looked up from her computer, annoyed.
“You can start by taking everyone’s coffee order,” she smirked. “I’ll have an iced americano.”
“O-okay. Should I ask Mr. Im what he wants?”
“No, I’ll take care of Mr. Im. Remember to ask the entire floor, okay?” she teased. You nodded and went around the entire floor to ask everyone what they wanted to drink. Everyone wanted something different - not one drink was repeated. The delivery man called you to let you know he was downstairs and that he was not delivering it upstairs to the 15th floor. You begged and even offered to pay him more to bring them upstairs, but he refused too. So you bitterly went downstairs and picked up all 23 drinks yourself. You were struggling to carry all the drinks, and to just your luck the elevator stopped working.
“You have to be kidding me,” you complained to the security guard. You didn’t want to walk up 15 flights of stairs. “It was just working a second ago.”
“Sorry ma’am. Take the stairs,” he pointed in the opposite direction. You groaned and slowly made your way upstairs. Your feet started to hurt and you could feel your calves ache in pain.
By the time you reached the 15th floor, your legs were weak and wobbly and your hands were red from carrying all the drinks. You wanted so badly to take a seat, but Anna already had another task for you. You set down the drinks and followed her into the conference room where Jaebum and every department head was seated. To your surprise, Eunbi was there too.
“What are you doing here?” you asked her. “How did you get upstairs?”
“The elevator,” she smirked. Now you understood - she somehow got the security guard to shut down the elevators so you couldn’t take it. This fucking bitch.
“Ask if they want anything to drink,” Anna whispered before taking a seat next to Jaebum. You glanced over at him, but he paid no attention to you.
Eunbi cleared her throat, trying to get your attention, “My throat is dry. Can you get me something to drink?”
“Yes, what can I get you?” you asked her with a fake smile, ignoring the fact that your feet was already blistering.
“Jae will have an iced americano, and I’ll have a sparkling water,” Eunbi smirked. Once you served everyone their drinks, you thought you’d finally have a break, but you thought wrong.
“Can you translate this for me?” one of the staff asked you while handing you a folder.
“It’s in French. I don’t know French,” you confessed.
“You know how to use Google Translate, right?” she asked rhetorically. “I need this by 5pm.”
You tried to be efficient, but this was hard. You didn’t know French and you didn’t know whether the words you were translating were correct. It was like everyone was purposely giving you a hard time.
It was already 4pm and you were barely half-way through the document. “I’m so sorry, I only got through half the document,” you tell her.
She snickered, “That’s alright. I already translated everything.”
“What? Why didn’t you tell me?”
“You were taking too long. If I waited for you, the client would have to wait till midnight,” she complained. “But don’t think you can stop translating that document. It better be completed and on my desk first thing in the morning,” she demanded before grabbing her purse and leaving. You sighed, peaking over at Jaebum’s office. No movement. He must’ve been busy all day. The only time you saw him was in the conference room this afternoon.
“I’m leaving now. Mr. Im’s dinner should be arriving soon. Bring it to him when it gets here,” Anna tells you before leaving. Now that she mentioned dinner, you realized you haven’t had anything to eat all day and everyone had left the office already. You were starving.
The security guard called Anna’s desk phone to let you know that Jaebum’s dinner had arrived. You were thankful that you were able to take the elevator this time.
You knocked on Jaebum’s door, “Come in,” he said before you entered. “Where’s Anna?” he asked, flipping through his paperwork.
“She left and told me to bring you your dinner,” you revealed as you walked towards his desk with a small limp. You made a mental note to yourself to wear different shoes tomorrow.
“Unpack everything and set it on the coffee table by the couch.” He didn’t even bother to take a second look at you. He was so absorbed in his work. You quietly laid his food out on table - salad, sushi, stew and rice.
“It’s ready,” you tell him as you turned around to find him standing close behind. You stumbled backwards almost losing your balance if it wasn’t for Jaebum catching you.
“Careful,” he warns, helping you stand up straight. You let out a sigh of relief as he motions you to sit down next to him. “Take your shoes off.”
“What?”
Jaebum lifts your legs onto his lap and takes off your heels. “I heard you had to walk up 15 flights of stairs today. Your feet must be killing you.” So he did notice you today. You smiled as he massages your calves for you. “Eat,” he tells you.
“This is for me?”
He nods, “You haven’t eaten anything all day. I saw you working out there.”
You smiled again. The whole day you thought he was busy with his work; not paying any attention to you, but he was. You leaned over to reach for his face to kiss him. Your lips connect with his, feeling all the pain in your legs go away. Jaebum quickly slips his tongue in your mouth, pulling you onto his lap. Your skirt rose to the side of your hips as you straddled him. His hands quickly found his way around your waist and down your ass. He massages your ass, pulling your lower body closer to his hardened member as you gently rolled your hips against it. You let out a small moan when his cock pokes at your already wet cunt. Jaebum pulls away from the kiss to work on your neck. He brushes your hair to one side before sucking the nape of your neck. You let out another moan, grinding your hips deeper into him. He lets out a moan as his lips travel down to your collar bone and down your cleavage. He stops once he hears your stomach growl.
You giggle, “Oops, I’m hungry.”
Jaebum smiles at you before removing you off his lap. He fixes your skirt and brings your legs back onto his lap. “Eat,” he tells you again as he continues to massage your legs.
He sets your feet down once you finish eating. “Let’s go home.”
“But I’m not done with work,” you pouted.
“We both know that’s not important work,” he teased before cleaning up the empty containers. “I’ll be right back,” he said walking away with the empty dishes.
Twenty minutes passed and he still wasn’t back. You got up from the couch and went to look for him. You find him sitting at your desk, helping you finish the document. You walked over to him quietly and watched him easily complete the rest of the document. “You have to leave a couple of errors to make it believable,” you joked from behind him.
He chuckles, “Don’t worry, there’s plenty of mistakes in here.” You made your way over to him, hugging him from behind.
“Thank you,” you whispered in his ears before pecking his cheek.
The drive home wasn’t long, but you managed to fall asleep. “Y/N,” he called. “We’re home.” You groaned not wanting to be bothered. You feel him lift you up from your seat to carry you inside.
“What are you doing?”
“Shhh...she’s sleeping,” Jaebum explains to her.
“She’s not a child! She can walk,” Eunbi complains once he steps inside the house. Her annoying ass voice wakes you up so you motion Jaebum to set you down before she complains some more. You walked past her and up to your room.
“Why are you acting like this? Did you forget she’s your step-daughter?” Jaebum questioned.
“She’s going to get the wrong idea.”
“Don’t be ridiculous,” he quickly argued.
“Jae, it’s not that I’m jealous of her. She’ll be your step-daughter too. You have to set boundaries or else people will talk. What will people say when they see you carrying her?” Eunbi explained.
“Don’t worry. Didn’t you just say she was a child?” he reminded.
You rolled your eyes at what he said. He didn’t think you were just a child when he was fucking you last night.
You were going to show him you were more than a just a child.
a little note from jennie: felt like writing some fluff before we get into the real dealllll ;)

Oblitus Part 38
I Can't Help Falling In Love With You
25 Days Until Extermination...
Four hours ago...
A giant fish monster roared as everyone stared with shocked and surprised looks on their faces as they stood at the shore from the beach, watching. The monster tossed someone high into the air as they tried to fight it. It was Lucifer. It wrapped it's tentacles around him and shocked the fallen angel, knocking him unconscious for a moment. His eyes began to feel heavy as he tried to fight off the sleep.
His gaze drifted over to the hotel guests, seeing his daughter, Vaggie, Alastor, he was wearing one of those old 1920's swim suits except it was red and black stripes and a large sunhat, Anna, who was wearing a black two piece, Angel, Husk and the rest, watching. Helsa and her brother Seviathan were lying on the sand, unconscious and beaten up. Then Lucifer's gaze stopped at Lilith who had a horrified look on her face. He smiled with a dazed look, drifting in and out of consciousness. She was still beautiful, as the day he first saw her, especially now in that sexy swimsuit of hers.
The monster tossed Lucifer high to the air and opened it's mouth as he began to fall, ready to eat him. Lucifer felt time began to slow down around him as he stared at everyone on the beach.
"I guess, you're wondering how I got into this situation. It is all because I fell in love. Let me rewind it a couple of hours back, leading to this moment."
Loud noises were heard as a couple of demons jumped, startled, as they passed by Lucifer and Lilith's mansion. Lucifer dodged an ancient looking vase as it was thrown at him. He quickly used his magic to stop it before it shattered on the floor, setting the fragile vase down, gently.
"Lilith, you know that this is an ancient relic from the past and a favorite of mine-" His eyes widened as he saw his wife picked up his angel sword and tossed it, nearly hitting him when she did. It stabbed the wall beside him, inches from his cheek.
"Lily, I don't know what else there is to say. I'm sorry!"
"I won't forgive you until you apologize to our daughter!" Lilith screamed. "I want you to take your stuff and get out!" She picked up some of Lucifer's clothes and a suitcase and tossed them at him and shoved him right out the door.
"Lily-" Lucifer was cut off as Lilith slammed the door in his face. "Please..."
In the city, two owl demons with dark black feathers walked out of a taxidermy shop. They had a majestic and graceful appearance to them, like royalty, in fact, they were. They were the Ars Goetia. It was Stolas and his daughter, Octavia. The prince stopped when he noticed someone lying on the ground, realizing that it was Lucifer. Octavia saw him as well. He looked so sad and pitiful that it was pathetic.
"Dad?" she asked. Stolas handed his daughter some money and she took it from him, confused.
"Via, why don't you go buy yourself something nice? Maybe, one of those songs that you like so much. I'll be right with you after I have a talk with him." he told her. Octavia shrugged and walked off heading towards a music shop while Stolas turned back to the king and walked over to him. As he got closer, Stolas saw that the king was in the process of digging a hole in the ground.
"Lucifer, what are you doing?" the prince questioned, concerned. Lucifer stopped and turned to the owl prince, now noticing him, but then he went back to what he was doing.
"What does it look like? I'm digging my grave," he replied. "Want me to dig you one, too?"
The Ars Goetia prince stared at the king with a shocked look. The poor guy. He's absolutely lost his marbles...Stolas sat down on the ground, after brushing the dirt and a few pebbles out of the way, next to the king who was literally digging his own grave. Lucifer was lying face first on the ground, as he was shoveling dirt on top of his head. Stolas sighed.
"Let me guess, your little wifey kicked you out?" he asked, softly. Lucifer made a muffled whining noise.
"I guess by that noise, I'm right," Stolas confirmed. Lucifer growled and pulled his head up, now glaring at the prince, sneering.
"Don't act all so high and mighty, considering your own situation. Your wife hates you! All because you slept with an imp, an imp of all people! A lower class rank citizen!" Stolas' eyes began to glow red. Lucifer's eyes widen as he saw his feet slowly began to turn to stone, now slowly going up to his knees, stopping.
"I know! And I don't regret it, not a single bit. My marriage was miserable but the only good thing that came out of it was my daughter. Should I say the same for yours?" Lucifer said nothing.
"I don't care what other people think of me, they can say all the shit about me that they want. But, I'm not going to let you talk about my Blitzy like that, not after what's he's been through. So I'd advise you to shut up." Then he release his power that he had on Lucifer, his legs turning back to normal.
"Why are you even here?" Lucifer asked. Then he noticed Stolas staring at him, his eyes widen in realization. "You fucking knew this entire time that this would happen!" he shouted.
"Well, yes! And who do you think is to blame? Certainly, not that little human at your daughter's hotel," Stolas answered. Lucifer silently looked down as Stolas continued. "You've gotten no one else but yourself to blame. All because you can't let go of what happened to you in the past."
"Shut the fuck up, Stolas!" Lucifer growled.
"I know what's going to happen because I've seen it," the prince explained. "You're daughter's hotel is going to succeed. But, I also see something very troubling as well. A great battle is going to happen. An army is coming. Mass destruction and chaos is happening in the city, followed by time being destroyed. Someone's life, who's going to be in danger...yours." Lucifer's eyes widen.
"What?" he asked, shocked. Time being destroyed? How is that possible?
"I see you fighting one of your brothers, a crazy one but also very paranoid at that, but losing very badly, trying to defend your wife and daughter. However, someone intervenes...the human woman from the living world."
"You've got to be fucking kidding me..." Lucifer replied in disbelief. "That meddlesome pet?" Stolas smirked and chuckled.
"That "meddlesome pet" is the only thing to stop you from getting killed." he explained. "Oh, and by the way I will need my grimoire eventually given back, once you've used it to return the human back to the living world."
"What do you mean "your grimoire?" Lucifer asked. "It was mine, before you stolen it!"
"Stolen is such a strong word, I'd prefer "borrowed without permission." Stolas replied. "And speaking about the human, her life's in danger at this very moment right now, as well as your daughter's." Lucifer's eyes widen.
"They're at a beach...-" Stolas tried to explain but Lucifer quickly got up. Two large white wings sprouted from his back and he quickly flew off. "I know which one that you're talking about. Thank you for the talk!"
Stolas coughed as dirt scattered around him when Lucifer took off and waved it away with his hand. He sighed.
"Angels always in such a rush." he murmured under his breath. Then he frowned when he saw something as a vision flashed in his eyes. It was a disturbing vision of Angel Dust.
"That poor soul doesn't have much time left..."
Four hours later...
Time sped back up as Lucifer began to fall, landing right into the sea monster's mouth and it's jaws slammed shut. Charlie's eyes widened in horror as well as Lilith's.
"Mom?" the princess asked worried.
"He'll be fine," Lilith answered her. "He will be." Nothing happened and they saw the monster starting to swim away.
"I'm going over there if he doesn't come out." she muttered under her breath.
The monster was getting further away as nothing happened. Lilith's eyes turned red and she quickly ran, heading towards the beast. She jumped high into the air until she reached the creature, hitting it right in it's eye. It let out a loud bellowing shriek and open it's mouth. Lilith leaned over, looking inside of the creature's mouth. Her eyes widen as her mouth dropped slightly in disbelief when she saw Lucifer sprawled out on it's tongue as he rested his head with his head, with a smug grin on his face.
"Took you long enough, beautiful." he said. Lilith frowned and reached out to him.
"You asshole!" she screamed. Lucifer laughed and reached out grabbing her hand and she pulled him out of the monster's mouth. She slapped him across the cheek with her hand. Lucifer grabbed it before she could hit him again.
"I know," he told her. "And I'm really sorry. Now, let's go back over to our daughter so I can tell her that, as well as apologize to that human pet of hers."
Lilith's eyes widen shock before she smiled.
"What changed your mind?" she asked.
"I had a talk with an old friend," he told her.

Eternal Happiness
Paring: Anna/Kristoff
Rating: G
Word Count: 1,431
Notes: Just a little fic I wrote for @annaofthenorthernlights. Hope you enjoy this fluffy family fic I wrote!
Summary: Anna and Kristoff spend a nice day on the lake with their newborn daughter Amara as they reflect on the happy times of their life together.
Anna hummed a soft tune as she cradled her newborn baby Amara in her arms. “She has your nose. Thank goodness,” Kristoff chuckled as he sat beside his wife on their bed, wrapping an arm around her shoulders, and happily looking down at the little bundle that they had created together. “And your hair,” Anna sighed dreamily, resting her head on his shoulder.
Kristoff rubbed small circles along her back. “You know. I used to think I never needed anybody, that it would just be me, Sven, and our boat. But then- well then I met you. And now here I am. I have a beautiful wife, a loyal dog, a great boat, and now a little girl that I can call my own.” Tears began to swell in his eyes as he thought about how lucky he had been. “I couldn’t be any happier than I am right now.”
Anna kissed his cheek, “Me either.” She rose to her knees and nestled herself in Kristoff’s lap, being careful not to disrupt little Amara from her slumber. “Tell you what. How about tomorrow we take the boat out for a nice little cruise on the lake. I figured we’ve been so busy as of late it would be nice to take a little break.” She looked down at the sleeping infant in her arms, “Plus. Amara hasn’t been on the boat yet and I think she’s old enough to go out as long as we’re careful.”
Kristoff beamed at this suggestion and kissed the soft ginger hair on his wife’s head. “I could not think of a better way to spend a day with the two girls I love most in the world.”
-----------
Anna placed Amara in her stroller and pulled the hood down so that the sun would not be beaming down on her. Anna dawned a huge white floppy sun hat with a cute little white sundress printed with sunflowers and brown sandals to match. She pulled down her sunglasses as she sat on the front porch, carefully rocking the stroller back and forth while she sipped on an ice-cold glass of lemonade. Kristoff was still in the kitchen packing up their lunches. As she waited, Anna closed her eyes and listened to the sweet chirps of the birds and the soothing music from the chimes that were being blown in the light breeze. She daydreamed about her life and all the opportunities that she had been blessed with. Growing up, she was often lonely. Her sister Elsa and her used to be very close as children, until one day she grew very ill and, in worry, their parents kept them apart so that Anna would not catch it as well. Though she knew her parents meant well by doing this, as they were told that the chances of Elsa surviving were slim, it still caused her to have just the tiniest amount of resentment towards them. However, that was all in the past now. Elsa had pulled through and Anna had fixed her relationship with her sister and now their bond was stronger than ever. Not only that but she had found happiness with Kristoff and now had a daughter made from their love. Kristoff always called himself the lucky one, but Anna thought that, if anyone was lucky, it was her.
When Kristoff came out with a reusable bag filled with their lunch he saw his wife looking ever so peaceful on the porch swing he had built. The sun cast a radiant glow upon her ivory freckled skin and her hair looked like wildfire. Gently setting the bag down he kneeled in front of her taking her hands in his. “Hey. Anna, ready to go?” Anna gave a small yawn and stretched her arms over her head. “Yep. Oh, did you make sure to pack the sunscreen?”
He gave a small nod. “Everything is all packed and ready.”
Together they strolled down the street of their neighborhood, holding hands and pushing the stroller as they laughed about the good times of the past. One story, in particular, made Anna laugh so hard, lemonade came out of her nose.
The story was about their first kiss and how awkward the both of them had made it. Both were too nervous to ask or give any sort of hint that they were ready to take their relationship to the next step. But, as Kristoff dropped her off on her front porch he decided that it was now or never. However, instead of forming one coherent sentence, it came out all scrambled and tongue-tied. At some point within the sentence Anna swore she could have heard him say “we me,” but he was rambling so fast that she couldn’t be sure.
When the little family had reached the marina they made sure to stop by and say hello to friends and neighbors. They had let those hold Amara who had already met the sweet baby and introduced her to those who hadn’t.
Eventually, after Kristoff had to nearly drag Anna to with him when she finished a conversation so that she would not go and start another one, they made their way down the wooden dock.
As Kristoff got the boat ready, Anna was busy strapping a lifevest and lathering sunscreen on Amara. However, when he snuck a quick glance, a deep rumble echoed in his stomach as he laughed at his wife and daughter who was now covered in streaks of white. Okay, so maybe she went a little crazy on the sunscreen, but can you blame her! Amara was still only a newborn and Anna, being the protective mama bear that she was, would do everything in her power to protect her. Even if that meant applying an excessive amount of sunscreen.
Once the boat was all set, and Anna had finally decided that Amara had enough sunscreen, Kristoff pulled out of the little port. Anna went to go sit beside him, placing Amara in her lap and resting her head on his shoulder. She closed her eyes and let out a delightful sigh as she felt the soft wind blow through her hair. “This is nice,” Anna said, giving a small smile. “We have both been so busy lately, that we hardly get to spend some nice quality time with one another.”
Kristoff wrapped an arm around her shoulders, giving them a gentle squeeze. “Yeah. I miss you when I’m at work. It’s strange not having you there.” Only a year after the two had gotten married they opened up their own flower shop. Flowers were actually what had brought them together, and they both hated being apart from each other for long periods of time, so they thought why not start a business that had a connection to their eternal happiness. But ever since Anna had the baby and took on the job of being a stay-at-home mom, Kristoff missed getting to work with her every day. After cruising around the lake for a few minutes, they found a nice shaded enclosure to anchor down and eat their lunch.  They continued to ramble on about the happy memories they have made as they ate their peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and sipped on the sweet nectar of their ice-cold lemonade. Amara was still breastfeeding so Kristoff had packed the blanket Anna used to cover herself up with whenever she fed the small child. They finished up their meal with a nice chocolate cake with chocolate icing, Anna’s favorite, that Kristoff’s mother had made for them a few nights prior to help Anna get through the stress of taking care of a newborn baby.
The little family had spent the rest of the day basking in the summer sun and listening to Kristoff strum a silly song he and Sven had made many years ago. They felt sorry for leaving the sweet old dog behind, but he didn’t really care for he took his job as protector of the house, and Amara, very seriously.
As the sun began to set, casting hues of orange and pink across the sky, the family had made their way back to the marina. When they had made it home and the couple had nestled down in their bed holding each other contently, they reflected on the joys the day had brought them. “Today was perfect,” Anna sighed as she nuzzled her husband’s neck. “Yeah,” Kristoff said as he placed a kiss on her head. “Just another day we can add to our list of eternal happiness and more to come.
End Notes: Sorry for any grammar mistakes. This is just a fluffy little family fic that I may or may not make into a series. I already have a mermaid fic that I am writing and a forbidden love fic I want to start so we'll see how this goes. I have no clue why I like putting all this work on me either. But hey, at least it's something I like doing.

Ikemen vampire theo x mc where theo and MC become parents and theo has to take care of the baby for a day by himself? LOL if it’s to hard u don’t gotta do it idk if I requested this before lol
Day 26 of Ikemektober!
I haven’t read all of Theo’s route yet, so I don’t know how accurate to character this is - but I hope you enjoy ^_^  Approx. 1800 words of baby filled fluffiness for the ask.
Theo snuggled to his precious hondje despite the insistent sunlight streaming in the windows. She was soft and warm, and it felt good to have her nestled against his chest. If fate allowed, he might have stayed right where he was until Sebas announced lunch. But late morning weren’t for parents.
As if on cue, the twins began to cry. Anna was breathy and quiet, but her sister Akari made up for that in spades. Her cry was demanding and loud, and there was no way to ignore it. Not even for five more minutes in bed with his lovely wife.
She sat up and rubbed her eyes. “Oh - oh, my babies. I’m coming, coming . . .”
Theodorus watched her stumbled from the room, half asleep. She was exhausted since they’d had the twins. It was a lot of work, even with helpful uncles in the manor.
He watched her shuffle back from the nursery, a baby in each arm. They had their mother’s dark, straight hair and their daddy’s big blue eyes. A deadly combination. Theo scooped Akari up and bounced her in his arms. She stopped crying as soon as he held her.
“Ah, papa has the magic touch, hm?” His wife smiled at him. “I don’t think they’re even hungry. They just wanted company.” Anna was settled too, happy to be held. The four of them ended up laid out in bed, the two babies in the middle with their mom and dad on the sides.
Hondje was falling asleep already, with long, slow blinks. Theo felt bad for her shouldering so much of the work with the babies. He wanted to help out - he just wasn’t sure what one did with a baby. They were terribly fragile things.
As if to illustrate his point, Akari wrapped her tiny hand around his finger and started chewing on it. Her mouth was small and pink and it tickled a little.
“Trying to eat me up, eh?” He laughed quietly. Maybe he could try to give his beauty a break today. Let her sleep in, take a long hot bath, eat pancakes in blessed silence . . . all things neither of them had done since the babies were born.
All he had to do was take care of these two feisty little ones for a few hours. Surely . . . surely that couldn’t be too hard.
Theo slipped out of bed, silent as a cat. He carefully lifted Anna and Akari and took them for a chat with Vincent.
“So what I want to do is take care of them all today - but, what do you do with a baby, broer?”
Vincent tickled Anna’s tummy, fascinated by her smiles. He didn’t look up as he replied. “Well, if you want her to have peace and quiet, you should take them out someplace.”
“Like a gallery or a cafe?” Theo tried to imagine it. All he could picture was Akari and Anna trying to eat random items and crying a lot.
“No. Someplace they can just . . . be babies. Maybe take them for a picnic?” Vincent finally looked up.
“A baby picnic? I guess that could work.” They would stay on the blanket, safe and sound, and well out of their mother’s hair.
“Perfect. Why don’t you get them dressed and I’ll meet you out front with some picnic supplies.” Vincent smiled widely.
“Are you coming with us?”
“Of course! I can’t miss a chance to dote on my sweet nieces.”
Theo carried the babies out. At eight months, they were getting a little heavy but they were still too small to walk. He didn’t mind the weight but he wished they wouldn’t wiggle a kick so much.
It took Theodorus almost an hour to get the little ones bundled up for an autumn day. Long sleeve dresses and little warm leggings courtesy many shopping trips with Comte, mittens and boots from Arthur and Dazai, and a red scarf for Akari, and a yellow one for Anna. He topped it off with little knit caps shaped like an apple and a pumpkin. The hats and scarves were handmade by Sebas. He’d taken to knitting cute accessories for the girls in his spare time, and seemed to really enjoy seeing the twins wear his creations.
“Why do my babies look like they’re part of a harvest festival?”
Theo turned to see his beauty in the doorway, making puppy eyes at him. “Mijn knabbel, I was going to surprise you with a day to yourself.” He felt ridiculous having to tell her about it. Couldn’t she see what he was doing?
She crossed the room and put a kiss on his cheek before he could say anything else. “Thank you, love.”
The look in her eye made him go warm inside, like a summer breeze. It reminded him of all the reasons he loved her. “Just go back to bed, hondje. You look tired.”
“Mmm, I will. I want to be rested up when you get back.”
“Oh?” And now Theo knew he had something to look forward to. He gave her a quick goodbye kiss and took the squirming babies to the front entry.
Vincent was waiting for him with a double carriage for the babies and a big basket of goodies. He also had a blanket for the ground, a spare one for the babies in case they were cold. “Are you ready to go?”
“I think so. They’re dressed and wiggly.” Theo laughed, setting the babies in the carriage. He looked at the basket on his brother’s arm. “Did you bring something for them to eat?”
“I did. Sebas made up a special pancake and berry blend and put it in little jars. They will love it.” Vincent grinned. “I’m hoping to sketch them today. They are almost a year old and I haven’t managed to get a single good painting of either of them.”
“They move too much.” Theo gave the babies a mock stern look. “You have to hold still for mijn broer when he’s painting you.”
Anna and Akari gurgled at him in response, completely unrepentant.
The brothers took the babies out to Vincent’s favorite flower meadow. They laid the blanket under a tree and set the babies down on it. Anna sat where her papa put her, but Akari pushed herself up on all-fours and wobbled toward a pile of fallen leaves.
Theo scooped her up just before she got there. “Think you can escape little one?”
She started to cry, an angry, helpless sound.
Vincent put his hands to his ears. “Can’t you let her play in the leaves? It wouldn’t hurt anything. We used to play in leaf piles all the time.”
“Yes but -” Theo wasn’t sure how to put it into words. It was different when it was your baby. You worried more. About all kinds of things. Still, his brother was probably right.
“Ok, ok,” he told Akari, and set her down on the blanket. She immediately stopped crying and went for the leaves again. “Just don’t eat them - please?”
Vincent laughed. “I don’t think I’ve ever heard you plead like that. Being a father has changed you.”
Theo shrugged. His brother was right, but he didn’t want to admit it. The two of them watched the babies crawl over and under the leaves, picking up the bright red and yellow ones to stare at them in wonder. And occasionally gnaw at them with their little slobbery mouths.
Gloves, hats, scarves, and booties disappeared through playtime, replaced by dirt and dead leaves. A different sort of fall costume, Theo mused.
Vincent managed a few quick sketches, but the girls made it hard to catch them in any pose. They had so much energy and everything fascinated them.
Eventually they got tired and let their papa and uncle feed them. Then promptly fell asleep in the baby carriage.
“I guess that’s our cue to head home,” Vincent sighed.
Theo nodded and stood up to gather the scattered picnic items. He found the two hats, and the mittens and boots, but the scarves were gone. He tore through the leaf pile and checked under the picnic blanket. They weren’t there. Or in the baby carriage. Or in the basket.
“What’s wrong,” Vincent asked. “Did you drop something?”
“No. Godverdomme. I can’t find the girls’ scarves. They have to be here someplace.”
“The ones Sebas just gave them to wear for winter?”
“Yes, those.” He shot his brother a look of annoyance that faded the second it landed. It was impossible to be annoyed with Vincent. “Can you help me look for them?”
“I will. I’d hate to see Sebastian’s face if we had to tell him we lost them.”
“Thanks, broer. Helpful.”
“Don’t worry Theo. We’ll find them.” Vincent gave his angelic smile and the two of them tore through the picnic site again. Still no scarves.
Theo knew they needed to get back soon, but he didn’t want to give up. That just wasn’t his style. “Did you check the grass, Vince?”
“Yes, and I went through the leaf pile again. Lots of red and yellow, nothing knit.”
“And the picnic basket?”
Vincent sighed. “We both looked through it. Unless Akari and Anna managed to stick them in the jam jars, the scarves aren’t in there either.”
Theo popped open the basket and checked the jam jars just in case. With the babies, you could never be sure.
“I think we’ll just have to admit we lost them, Theo. I’m sure Sebas will be alright. The twins got to where them out once at least.”
“Yeah.” Theodorus felt a sudden wave of exhaustion. It had been a very nice day but the ending spoilt it all.
He and Vincent pushed the baby carriage back to the manor in low spirits. Anna and Akari slept through the whole drama, unaware of the importance of their missing scarves.
Sebastian met them at the door, all smiles. “Did you have a nice day out? Did the girls like their pancakes?” He leaned down to look at the snoozing pups. His smile faltered. “Ah, still not cold enough weather for a scarf?”
Vincent looked over at Theo.
It would be easy to lie right now. Say that’s right, and then the scarves could go missing without it being his fault. But Theodorus wasn’t one to shirk responsibility. Sometimes you had to man up. Admit your faults. He shoved his hands in his pockets and rocked back on his heels, as he considered how best to break the news.
His fingers brushed something wooly and soft. His eyes widened.
“What is it, broer?”
Theo tugged the soft fluff from his pocket. A scarf. Yellow. And in the other pocket, one red. He grinned at Sebas. “Nah, they took them off while they were playing. I stuck them in my pockets for safe keeping.”
Vincent laughed, relieved. “I wish you could have seen them, Sebastian. They were so cute.”
Sebas smiled. “Well, I’ll have to wait for your next outing.” He gestured upstairs. “I believe your lady is waiting for you?”
Theo grinned.
Vincent nudged his arm. “Don’t worry, Sebas and I will babysit the rest of tonight.”
He didn’t need anymore encouragement. He bounded upstairs, eager to show the mother of his children how much he appreciated her.
