Hi! I really like your meta and insights into characters, so I'd love to hear your take on certain events in book 4.

What do you think Wu Ming was doing during those two days Xie Lian was lying on the ground, pierced with a sword?

It's actually quite hard for me to imagine what Xie Lian could've said to him or threatened him with to make Wu Ming obey him and not follow him for a few days... Xie Lian originally stabbed himself right in front of Wu Ming's eyes and probably told him to go somewhere else afterwards. And I just can't get my head around how Xie Liang managed to convince Wu Ming to not do anything about it right in the moment, and then to leave him unattended for a couple days. I guess there's something to be said for obedience here, but with Xie Lian doing something that has caused him so much pain in the past in front of his eyes, it's hard for me to understand how Wumin could've stayed away, since he was already clearly quite disturbed even before Xie Lian stabbed himself

That's something I've also wondered for a long time, to be honest. Frankly, my only explanation has been that Xie Lian kind of just... yeet'd himself away, and without knowing exactly where, Wu Ming had to search for him. That it was too far for Wu Ming to get there quickly. I don't think Xie Lian gave him any orders or anything, and even if he did, Wu Ming would not have obeyed.

It kind of makes sense because the cut-away says "the next day" -- so it took a day itself for Xie Lian to drop down in Lang-Er Bay. Perhaps that location really was far from where the two originally were. Though, I can't help but feel there would be a commotion, and word-of-mouth would get out that something weird was up in Lang-Er Bay. That being said, no government officials or soldiers or anything came to investigate (as far as I remember), so perhaps not?

Regardless, once Bai Wuxiang came over and started messing around and gathering ghastly spirits, etc etc etc -- I think that would be an unmistakable sign pointing to the right location, allowing Wu Ming to rush over.

That was first impression of that whole thing, and I think it works, anyway. Hopefully my explanation made sense to you! I'm very curious to see if this was changed in the Revised Version, actually. It seems like one of the things MXTX would have revisited.

Chapter Summary:

Loid had once overheard Yor confiding with her coworkers that she had never had any experiences with any man, at least romantically. But Yor never once said she had (somewhat) successfully seduced her senior, Mirage, during a practice run for a premeditated assassination.

Thank you for inspiring me with your art WIPs of future TAoS chapters--but I swear to God I'm trying to catch up TwT To my best friend John for his impressive knowledge of firearms. I was genuinely shook that he recognized Sylvia's gun so quickly.

The original plan was to write about Yor's flashback > Loid seeing Yor > Good night. I had estimated it to be around 2,500 words, but here we are at 5,000+ words because I couldn't resist writing about Sylvia (can you imagine how happy I was when Endo-san posted a Sylvia-centered chapter?! It felt like a good omen!) and mentioning Yuri too. Also, I poured a bit more TwiYor moments in this fic to balance the attention Klaus got lol Also, the main reasons why this fic took a long time were: (1) I had rewritten Loid's mission 3 times. The first was a bit OOC (and re-written with @lizzisgeek's guidance and suggestion) and the second rewrite disrupted the pacing of the plot, so I ended up scrapping it for this chapter, but it will be recycled in a future chapter. (2) The plot bunnies wouldn't shut up, but I have no qualms with it. (3) The extensive research I put into firearms, fashion wear, and character analyses was long but we made it guys and gals!

The next chapter may take up to a month again since I will be occupied with my thesis research project and will be biting the bullet to submit the report. I'm hoping to graduate with my master's degree come mid-May! Hopefully, I can be called Professor Scarlet soon :^3 Thank you for reading! ^^

Fic Summary:

There was a subtle change in the air that Loid Forger sensed around Yor since reuniting with her childhood friend, Klaus Kraus. Her form seemed straighter and she carried herself more confidently which heavily contrasted with her usual negative sense of worth. She was more attractive, bold even. He didn't know what to make of these changes. What he did know was he didn't like the idea of someone holding his wife in such an intimate way.

Stsg headcanon incoming: gojo decided to propose to geto on a whim, when they were doing something extremely mundane, like grocery shopping, he obviously didn't have a ring prepared, so he improvised, swept away by emotions, and just bit geto's ring finger. The bite was followed by "Suguru, will you marry me? You can't say no, I already put the ring on your finger", which left geto speechless for just a moment, because, first of all, the audacity, and second, he was carrying the ring with him for a month now, looking for the perfect moment and perfect setting, trying to come up with a perfect plan, while this idiot proposed to him in a department store. At least gojo was his idiot.

so this one is actually a little continuation of 좋아합니다 ٩(◕‿◕｡)۶ @lizzisgeek and I were talking about it a bit & both her enthusiasm and kind words + all the love it's been given on AO3 had me thinking it'd be fun to explore their first date from Yuuji's perspective since 좋아합니다 is written in Megumi's. I haven't gotten very far with it yet since I'm primarily focused on LOD atm but here's a small snippet for you!

"Still, they’ve been toeing the line between friends and something-more for long enough. Yuuji wants his date and then he wants to take Fushiguro out on one, on countless dates if possible, and eventually he’d like to find out whether his hair is as soft as it looks and if his mouth tastes like the ginger candies he’s so fond of.
