And can I say that another thing that resonates with me about ambrosius being a queer asian man is the focus on his bloodline and his heritage.

As a trans + queer asian guy I'm probably never gonna have genetic kids and as an only child that's something I've had to come to terms with. Queerphobia in Chinese culture (in my experience) in very different than in the US because instead of stemming from evangelicalism, a lot of it comes from the stigma of not being able to have kids and have a "normal" family and continue the bloodline. And the guilt of the bloodline ending with me is constantly something at the back of my mind.

Even though it's not really touched on in the film explicitly, a big part of Ambrosius' arc is saying "fuck you" to his responibility to his bloodline and choosing to be happy with his bf instead. And there's an interpretation of that which is arguing for queer asians to say a "fuck you" and choose their own happiness. We're allowed to be selfish, and choose ourselves

genuinely no line will EVER hit me as hard as Hinawa’s “You must be exhausted” at the end of Mother 3. it’s literally the perfect line at the perfect time in the perfect context. and depending on where you are in your own life, hearing it is incredibly cathartic. it’s the sense that finally, finally someone recognizes how tired you are. and then Claus gets to rest, because yes he is exhausted, and it’s time for him to go to where Hinawa is now. he’s just a kid and he’s so tired. he’s ready to rest. it’s so tragic yet cathartic at the same time. that entire scene just hits every single time and nothing can compare

after reading the one hundred and one millionth inane quote about how Loki is such a pRiViLeGeD pRiNcE while Sylvie is just a poor baby who had no real childhood and had to learn to fend for herself from a young age, I feel the need to point out that even the ONE thing we know about Sylvie's past, the thing that's supposed to be her mAjOr tRaUmA and set her apart from him somehow, was literally stolen from Loki.

this is how Tom described Loki's experience post-suicide attempt back in the day while doing press for Avengers:

“I think he went, like with everything else, to a sort of… it was just like, the worst place imaginable. I think he went to all of the darkest recesses of the universe. "Do you ever wish there was fanfiction of a fanfic?" I do. I do so fucking bad. I want fanfiction about Tommy's Clinic for Supervillains, because sometimes I genuinely forget that's a fanfic and not a book that should have its own fandom.

Every time I see that book on my shelf I'm just filled with this urge to read it all again, learn everything about the world building and write my own multi chapter fanfic about it, but focused on Disc Duo. Like, I need it. There's so much potential and so many things that could happen after the end of TCFSV. I'm such a sucker for vigilante/hero/villains aus AND for disc duo AND for that fanfic because it is so good

The only problem is that I want it to just exist so I can read it, not to actually write it. Which is such a struggle because I don't think anyone will write it.
