do you think an actor's opinion is 100% canon? if they say it then it's true? I ask this because Hugh took a long time to say that there was romance between Hannibal and Will but Mads didn't
I think we often forget that actors are real people. These people are flawed. They're not gods because they portrait characters brilliantly. With that being said, actors have biases. Sometimes, no matter how canon something is, if the actor, for whatever reason, doesn't like it, they might play it off or completely deny it when asked about it. Sometimes out of spite, because again, actors are just people, prone to normal human behavior.
I don't wanna say why I think Hugh played it off at first or why he thought Will had relevant feelings for Alana cause I have zero patience for the backlash I might receive. I'll say one of the reasons, the other I won't: I think, just like Will, because he internalized Will, he was in denial. But whatever because he came through after season three.
Sometimes, an actor likes another fellow actor, sometimes they hate or dislike them, and because they're human and their work ethics are much looser and less demanding, they can get away with a silent bias, meaning, their opinions are not based in canon but in their feelings about other actors they work with, and nobody will actually know it because the true reason is inside their head and the only thing we hear is an actor having an opinion that no one seems to understand why, as in "how are you not seeing this?", or when they try to force a ship that no one else likes and everyone is "why??".
We need to take actors out of the pedestal. Yes, they are living those characters and understand them a lot, but they're still actual people, and people (actually, most) cannot see themselves properly, they lack self awareness. So of course they can have an opinion that is completely wrong because although they're playing the character, they simply lack the ability to actually take a step back and analyze their behavior and actions.
I believe that like Will would 100% deny any romantic feelings towards H, because of what it represented about him, so would Hugh. Just because Hugh plays Will doesn't mean he sees Will in the same way we see Will, in fact, he 100% doesn't, just like you cannot perceive yourself in the same way others perceive you. Our perception of Will is actually manipulated by two lenses: Hannibal's and Alana's/Jack's. That's why the fandom is divided between people who love deranged Will and want to see him in his becoming and fully accepting of his darkness, and the ones who have the copagenda thing and see him as a wounded puppy.
Now, Mads is the exact same, actually. His perception of Hannibal is flawed sometimes. For example, he says Hannibal is happy, a lot of times. Of course H isn't happy, we all know this, but Hannibal himself lives in denial. He crafted a mask of refinery and charisma, to keep that deep rooted depression in check. So it makes sense that Mads would think H is happy, in fact, he needs to in order to play the character in the best possible way, because in this manner, he's not pretending or lying, he's truly in Hannibal's shoes, deluding himself as a happy, satisfied, person.
The actors who think too much or rationalize their characters too much are often the ones we forget about. Actors who engage less in overanalysis often provide responses that appear less intricate compared to fan-generated meta, as they authentically embody their characters rather than engaging in extensive rationalization. This is because the actor is just being, instead of trying to be. They're not rationalizing their own behavior because people, although they think they do, they don't, at most, we judge our own behavior, but that's different than actual rationalization or complex analysis (some people do, of course, me included, but it's not the norm, not the default).
I believe this answers your question.

What do you think about Zoro and Usopp?
(If you’re still doing the ship thing)
yeah!! honestly the ship thing was just an excuse so people would send me asks bc i love interacting with all of you here <33 just use my inbox for anything you want to ask me and i'll reply anytime!!! (for the ones who sent me sanuso/zolu prompts, i swear to god i'm writing them i'm just slow af and busy with work. bear with me pleaseplease).
okay so!! zoro x usopp!!!
i must say, i didn't even think about them as a ship until not long ago when i saw a fanart of them and i went "oh, damn, they're actually really cute!". that, and also that you can't go into the ao3 sanuso tag without finding sanji/usopp/zoro too. which i understand. i just don't usually read those much. but i know the ship exists and i appreciate it bc the three of them deserve love, and tbh at this point i just love the whole sanji/usopp/zoro/luffy poly thingy.
i love the zosopp dynamic. they're so,, so silly,,, and there are so many possibilities for angst too???? like, not my top ship but damn it has a lot of potential. and i'm easy to convince, so with a few fanarts and fics i might actually start shipping them for real. who knows. i'm just very specific when it comes to shipping zoro (meaning i only ship him with luffy, lmao. and sanji when the horniness takes over the critical thinking or when the art is just too good).
i love their scenes together and the whole "calm x anxious" thing that ends up turning into "calm one is actually stupid and anxious can't believe he's really that stupid". that also being zoro seeing usopp's potential and wanting him to grow as a pirate so he doesn't interfere when it comes to things like water 7 or personal growth, but admires him from a distance. while usopp is, like, there, admiring and kind of envying zoro's strength but also admitting that he's human too and has feelings and can act like a dumbass. i think zoro would be clingy with usopp in the sense of protectiveness because in canon he's already protective of him (and also would find comfort in him after knowing him for so long. east blue crew things), so them being a couple would only make him more possessive and caring. which is cute!!! like (and i also say this when it comes to sanuso) zoro knows usopp can protect himself. he just cares too much to let him on his own. and he might act like he's tired of usopp's anxious and panicking attitude, but he gets it. he lets usopp do his things. he stays there. zoro protects and loves and he isn't loud about it but he's like a gentle, big cat. and this is just me being a very violent sanuso shipper, but the three of them together would be good when it comes to protecting usopp and also hyping him up!!! that's their sniper!!!!! they love him so much.
but also, from usopp's pov (because for some reason we always talk about zoro's povs when it comes to shipping???? idk why. it happens a lot with zolu, too, idk) i think he loves zoro in such a silly, teasing, intimate way,,, the east blue crew will always hit different, man, but idk,, usopp loves teasing zoro and making him mad and somehow he always ends up making the swordsman participate in their silly, dumb shenanigans. and i think that's beautiful because it's not only usopp wanting to fuck with him, but also usopp wanting zoro to have fun instead of just being protective and first-mate-like all the time. does that make sense??? i think it does.
there's also the respect between them. like, silent respect. zoro knows usopp is capable of fighting and making his own decisions and yet still protects him when asked because sometimes he knows there are fights that only the monster trio can handle (same thing that happens with nami, basically). and usopp respects zoro's position as the first mate and admits that he isn't just a dumb swordsman. although he loves teasing him bc tbh stressed zoro being out of his comfort zone is just so funny--
besides, they're sooo domestic. i love the tiny bits of them smiling and hugging. soft zoro is rare, but when it happens??? it's my whole world. and i think usopp is one of the few people that can make him smile in such a cute way!!!
also they're chaotic af. since day 1. i love them. they have to be one of the most hilarious duos in this show.
ngl now i have the urge to read fics of them uguhhsdjksdkj
TL;TR: i like them a lot, they're just not my top ship. probably i will ship them soon if i consume enough content. give me a few days.
LOOK THEY'RE SO CUTE GONNA CRYYY

While I admit I am biased because I love Loustat and Daniel/Armand first and foremost, I am trying not to be negative towards Loumand (which I don't like very much in the books) and appreciate its role in the story, but the Loumand shippers (the ones that have popped up since S1 anyway) are making it difficult and I find them exhausting. I feel like so much of the extreme Lestat hate and takes like Daniel is too old to be a love interest or become a vampire seem to be coming from that corner along with other things. I also can't believe they actually like book Armand considering the way they feel about Lestat. I can't believe they would like any of the characters to be honest.
Hi anon . First of all I need to say I'm not a TVC expert I watched the show first & then read some of the books selectively 😅so I hope what I answer makes sense . 💜
Okay so all of the book readers already know that all of the vampires are horrible in their own ways & that's because most of them have a horrible past both as a human & vampire . That of course doesn't justify what they later but that clarifies why they're acting the way they do .
And I think from Ep 5 it is right to hate Lestat but I don't understand the hate towards old Daniel he literally didn't do anything to Louis or Rashid / Armand except to get something true out of their stories like a real journalist . And I need to mention here that I myself am a Armandaniel & loustat shipper first & in heart just like you . 🥰 The hate on Old Daniel is not justifiable for the show viewers bc I myself can't find a reason to hate him YET😐
And as for people should hate Armand or Loumand as much as they hated Lestat & loustat , I think that can't be decided by the show viewers only 🤷🏻‍♀️ cause they haven't seen any bad side of Armand towards Louis , they haven't seen their relationship in Paris or after Paris . And they hope Louis & Claudia are finally free of their abuser. So I give them the right to want that because they have no idea & it's a journey for them & new discoveries for them . And not just about Loumand about loustat too because Louis canonly considered loving Lestat more in the second half of the book so if the show runners know what they're doing & consider to take a darker path as JACOB said in an interview then we will definitely see Loumand to the extent & also loustat to the extent. 😊
And for those people who know about Loumand & Armand of the books & still love & adore them together I think that is also fine BUT AS LONG AS THEY DON'T HATE LOUSTAT FOR THE SAME REASONS 🙄 . If they hate Lestat for the manipulation & lies & withholding information then they must hate Armand or Loumand for the same reasons . 😉 Or even Claudia Otherwise their reasons for hating Lestat & loustat isn't justifiable to me . 🤷🏻‍♀️
And I want to add I don't hate Armand I didn't like Loumand though . I love Armand & Daniel their relationship makes more sense to me than Loumand . Although I have to add Loumand as great friends in later books makes so much more sense. I think Louis & Armand can calmly talk together & talk sh*t behind Lestat's back all they want .😂 I think they need each other simply because the way we all need someone in our life when we're tired of our relationship & our family & sometimes ourselves . Armand is probably Louis's escape from anything intense & Louis is probably Armand's scale of what he does as much as Lestat hates that Armand accepts that from Louis I guess . 🙂
Over all I think we should respect each other's favorite ships without judgement towards the person who ships other ships . And I think Loumand was & is the necessity of the story individually or as I myself think Loumand is a means to loustat . So if you're worried about how S2 might not be your favorite season because of Loumand then I can offer you to just enjoy the ride because you'll find something else interesting to like about season 2 . But as a respect for the actors & to the hard work they did I will definitely support S2 because they all worked really hard & I think that wouldn't be really nice to them to stop watching S2 because I don't like Loumand in the book . Who knows I might come to like it on the show . 🤩
Let the tale seduce you . 😉❤️

tbh even E/riels are disappointed with acosf but they don't say it to others although they talk about it among themselves lol I used to be one so I should know. acosf was Nesta's books everyone expected to see Elain more bc she was close to her and they also heard about the training so they were 100% sure they were going to see E/riel training scenes (the very one they accuse Gwynriel for being boring and they don't want Nessian 2.0 lmao) so when they didn't get that they started commenting on Gwynriel post of how they wanted Elain instead of Gwyn in those scenes (specially the shadows dancing around Gwyn and the private dagger lesson) and that's when the toxicity started and I knew this place was not for me anymore. even tho I used to be a bypass in the fandom and not actually fixated on the books I saw enough threats and bullying, it was bad. I came back on acotar fandom this summer after a very long time and even now the reek of jealousy from that side of the fandom is recognizable. the pure ignorance and delusion is quite amusing, they know E/riel won't happen but they have to make it look like they don't so their years of being obsessed with a fictional ship and bulling other fans, the author and publisher won't got to waist yk. bc when I read acosf for the first time I knew Gwynriel is endgame and even before that I wasn't a huge E/riel fan but I wanted to tolerate them for the possibility of them happening and not Elucien (after the end of acofas we weren't sure who would be endgame and I was quite sad bc I was more incline toward Elain and Lucien)
anyway if they were so confidence in their ship they wouldn't do none of that and let others enjoy their time being in the fandom.
Oop that’s some piping hot tea right there.
Honestly, why couldn't they just be as chill as Azris shippers?
Azris shippers understand that the likelihood of their ship is slim, but they can manifest and hope for the best. Through Love, all is possible!
Yes, it's quite possible! I can passionately support Gwynriel and Azris in tandem. E/riels can readily accept that Elucien is the endgame couple while finding delight in the hints and potentials of E/riel until the next book's release when perspectives may change. Although there may still be Neris shippers out there, I haven't observed any significant disrespect directed toward Nessian. It's possible that I might not be searching thoroughly, but it's heartening that it's not as prevalent as the mainstream rivalry between Elucien and Gwynriel vs. E/riel.
I perceived ACOSAF as a retcon of Elucien, as Elain's abrupt shift from suggesting Lucien move to Velaris to ignoring him lacked a clear explanation of their deteriorating relationship. More on this later.
I get why E/riel shippers held onto hope after ACOSAF, even though I viewed their connection as more platonic. Azriel's deep love for Mor was abundantly clear in the series, and the Hybern scene hinted at the endgame couples, particularly Moriel, which was reinforced by SJM's deleted Pinterest.
In my view, Gwyn embodies a blend of Mor and Elain, sharing Mor's trauma, the ability to fit in with "one of the boys," a girl-next-door quality, and an interest in combat, while also displaying Elain's quiet and reserved nature.
On a more serious note, it's entirely possible to appreciate a ship without resorting to belittling anyone, whether it's a character without proper canon context or an actual person. Doubling down and resorting to insults becomes even more embarrassing. Perhaps this is due to a reluctance to acknowledge the scarcity of E/riel content to draw from.
Ironically, my anti-E/riel posts stem from my restraint in responding to most of their takes but they aren't inclined to listen, and I lack a suitable outlet to release my frustrations.
Additionally, I take issue with the way many books romanticize red flags as desirable relationship traits. It's crucial to recognize that Azriel's hesitancy to be his true self around Elain is an unhealthy dynamic, and it's not Elain's responsibility to change that. When someone acknowledges their actions as a mistake, it's wise to believe them and move on. This situation is reminiscent of the problematic "Twin Flame" concept, which often excuses negative behavior under the guise of a deeper connection.
But, thats why I don't like E/riel in a nutshell.
Gwyn and Lucien are fictional characters written to have a lot of trauma in their backstories. While they are not real, I can easily consider what you say about them as a reflection of what you truly believe to real people who have gone through something similar.

I don’t personally ship NejiHina, but I can see the appeal and I understand why it was the preferred pairing in Japan. I was wondering what you think of NejiTen? I personally hate it and don’t know why it’s so popular. People act like they were supposed to be canon, but I just don’t see it.
Hi!
I first want to start this answer by saying I respect every ship and everyone's right to ship whatever they like regardless of my personal taste. Nevertheless, I have my own opinion and if it's not positive towards some specific ship, please do understand that's MY view and opinion, and no one is forced to think or see the things the way I do.
Having say that, I personally dislike NejiTen. I would say I'm indifferent towards it, and I am most of the time, I mean, it doesn't upset me if I find occasionally some NejiTen art by accident while watching something else, and I don't find it a hideous ship. Furthermore, I personally have never had bad experiences with NejiTen shippers either, though I've known and/or seen some of them harassing my friends from NejiHina and other ships, and there is exactly where the "dislike" part starts. Because, indeed, the persons that I've seen doing such comments act as if NejiTen was canon, when it isn't, furthermore, there is, at least at my eyes, no evidence of any kind that even hints Neji's romantic interest on Tenten and viceversa.
Going to the content, Neji is only seen worrying and caring profoundly for Hinata (when it comes to women), no one else. If we add RLSD, his crush on her is totally accepted and obvious on that, but it's just a Spin-off.
When about Tenten, I'd say we see almost equal care and worry from her to both Neji and Lee, except, maybe for Lee's energetic (and problematic) nature, she tends to spend more time closer to him. And maybe because of Lee's life story, she also seems to be more observant of Lee's feelings than Neji's. Even when Neji died, her reaction was to console Lee, her thoughts went to Lee, she was worried because of Lee. I'm not saying she didn't care for Neji or that she wasn't hurt, but her feelings for Lee on that moment (worry, sad, caring) were bigger than her mourning for Neji.
I think it is so popular because the fact that Neji and Hinata are cousins is taboo in many places around the world, although actually it is perfectly legal in more countries than those were it isn't, it was common practice amongst noble families both on West and East until not that long ago, still are many cousin marriages and the genetic/biological risk for the possible future children of such a couple isn't as big as we might believe. Is about double than non-related couples, but that equals 3-4%. That's about the same risk an "older" (35+) woman's baby would have. Anyway, the thing is since Hinata is by this Taboo "forbidden" for Neji, most people would try to pair him with the other woman he interacts with: Tenten. That is, the way I see it, the only reason to pair them. I don't even think they'd had an interesting dynamic and on the few content of them I've paid attention to, usually Neji's or Tenten's or both's personalities are changed so they fit and the ship becomes more interesting.
I think it takes from both of them to pair them together, it is nice to see Tenten as an independent woman who's life, for once, doesn't revolve around her crush on a boy.
And Neji seems a traditional tranquil man, if he wasn't so focused on and devoted to Hinata I don't think he would care about marrying or being on a couple. That's why I can't see him with anyone else but Hinata.
Sorry for the long answer, in the end as I say, everyone is free to ship what they like 🩷

TBB Ep 10 Thoughts
Spoilers for TBB Season 2
Today on The Bad Batch, child slavery!
Let's get into it.
The way Wrecker stares at the part that fell off the speeder for a second and then falls back. 🤣
The timing of that cracked me up.
They're gonna try and fit all 4 of them on one speeder???
GONKY IS HOW THEY FIND THE MARAUDER?!
Omega being a smart bean. 🥰
Honestly, the amount of Gonky in this episode makes me so happy!!!
Excuse me, but Mokko is not the metal-handed guy that I wanted to see.
ALL OF THEM BALANCED ON THE SPEEDER HAHAHAHA
"That's our defective power droid"
Fuck yeah it is!
Don't mess with Gonky. The dads will come after you. 😠
Wrecker activated Intimidation Mode ™️
Okay, yeah, cool, we're all just gonna abseil down a chimney, sure.
That seems totally safe. 😐
"Plenty of time". Omega's so one of them omg. 😭 She's grown so much. 🥲
That brief slow-mo when Hunter falls forward. 😍
Than animation this season is so good!!!
Ngl, them all sticking their faces over the chimney stresses me out.
Smooth take-down from Hunter, there!
Mokko is a dick. 😡
I'VE JUST REALISED THAT THIS IS WHAT JENNIFER'S CRYPTIC TWEET WAS
Omega's head poking out from the oversized coat! 🤣🥰
Bitch, you did not just press that button. YOU DID NOT JUST PRESS THAT BUTTON!
Omega giving Benni her ration even though The Batch don't have much food. 😭
Wrecker hanging upside from the ship is one of my new favourite things.
Okay, I understand why Benni did what he did. I'm still pissed though. 😤
All the stuff about kids not being able to just be kids in this galaxy is so sad. 😭
Sorry, did Mokko really expect his "let's make the Batch work in the mines for a decade" plan was gonna work???
Although, he does say something about if they survive that long, so best bet is he was just gonna leave them to die.
Like I said. He's a dick.
ALSO THREATENING TO THROW OMEGA OF THE PLATFORM?! HOW DARE YOU SIR!
He's actually lying to the kids and keeping the ipsium for himself? How surprising (note strong sarcasm).🤨
OMEGA THROWING HERSELF OFF WITH THE DROID BECAUSE SHE KNOWS HUNTER WILL CATCH HER 😭
That scene might be my favourite of the episode. Especially with the altered Bad Batch theme over the top.
Ngl, the fight with Mokko was underwhelming.
The guy literally fell over a railing by himself. 😭
Although he was also a pathetic dickhead so a pathetic end is kind of what he deserves.
WRECKER HUGGING GONKY!!! 🥰
Even though they were all in competition with one another, when it comes down to it, the kids actually do all care about each other. That's sweet.
Wrecker is reunited with Lula! 🥲
TECH AND OMEGA THIS SEASON ARE GIVING ME SO MANY FEELS!!!
Was hoping the Echo and Crosshair convo would carry on this episode but oh well.
Also, we never saw Tech and Wrecker apologise to each other. 🥲
Overall feeling about this episode is that I think it might be one of my least favourites of the season. I didn't dislike it but with how good the others have been, this episode didn't stand out a whole lot to me.
There were specific moments that I absolutely love though! Wholesome Batch moments just hit me right in the feels. 🥲
And Wrecker's "I'm working on it" reminded me of Echo in Season 1. 😭 I still miss that man.
Weirdly, I don't feel like I have much to say about this episode right now. There's some more stuff delving into the idea of kids not being able to just be kids in this galaxy, so I'm happy they're continuing on that narrative. I maybe would've liked to have seen a little bit more from the other miners? I don't know.
Normally when I watch an episode, one or two particular things sticks out to me as something I want to talk about more but I didn't really get that much from this episode. Think I may just have to sit on it for a few days and see what comes to mind.
Still liked the episode, but I definitely think that the first half of this two-parter was much stronger. Very excited to see what Metamorphosis is going to be about though! My hope is to see Echo and Rex again, but that's more wishful thinking than me believing it's actually going to happen. 😅
Edit: This was supposedly a breather episode, so that may explain why it fell a little flat for me. I think I got really hooked up in the more high-stakes episodes and that swayed my judgement on this one. 🤔

"Theoretically what if I said 'yes'?" [Darren x Wirth Headcanons]
Taking a break from my OTP (Rinka x Orter) to focus on my first mashle oc aka Darren Randel (read more info here) ended up making me think they could be a potential ship over Darren x Rayne (I haven't even written out my ideas for them properly) so uhhh yah!
This is a long ass post and devolves into general ideas towards the end.
tyyy @golden-eye-ramblings with the idea making :D
_ _ _
First impressions? They hated each other bro. Darren legit made Wirth taste worthlessness to another dimension (lost his magic completely until sundown so about 5-7 hours) for insulting the fact she didn't use a wand at all (which she gets pretty pissed about if they try to make themselves seem better than her)
He hated this moment so much he started studying/practicing to get payback towards her whenever they encountered each other again
And that happened to be during a Labyrinth/Maze exercise in order to test their knowledge from their Advanced Magic Classes which gave out silver and bronze coins (Lang and Adler houses only)
Wirth put a lot of effort to track her down since she ran after getting stranded by her only buddy (Rayne) who SURF PARTISAN-ED OUT OF THE HEDGES--and then ambushed her whilst she was fighting a golem (man-made magic training doll nicer than Deadervants)
but Darren uses and manipulates Wirth's attacks to put down the golem and 2 silver coins spawned. At this point in time she doesn't get what the coin system is so she just splits the share and Wirth is like what in the generousness is this? Does she think he's that pitiful??? And they part ways from the thing.
Midterms arrived and Darren did pretty bad on them obviously. (she's legit only great at offensive magic)
Walkis although more competitive is really lenient with their passing marks (because the school staff are so corrupt for accepting so many bribes) which she barely achieved after fighting for no instant failing grades so she underestimated the strictness of Easton's grading.
Wahlberg and the teachers agreed that if she failed the next one/finals they might consider expelling her so she literally panics and ends up asking Rayne to help tutor her but this guy is 1) a bad teacher, 2) easily distracted by the bunnies-- they both are really distracted by the bunnies so she has no progress beyond taking remedial classes which she barely understands.
She tries to figure out where she went wrong but Wirth takes the textbook she wanted to take and like are they about to break out into another duel. Darren's about to raise her voice but Wirth shuts her up with a silencing spell (library has to be quiet or not the cursed silencer appears and does the unimaginable).
Girl explains her situation and Wirth hawks in superiority: oh my gawd I'm actually better than her! But he kind of wants to duel her again so when she gets emotional about getting expelled if she does really bad the next round he is like: "Well, Darren. You've come to the right guy! I'm great at all subjects, so what do you need help with?" Darren: "Everything else that's not Magic Geography and Magic Zoology" aka a lot of subjects.
And when I say Darren is bad she is BAD. Calls beakers, conical flasks and funnels "CUPS". She cannot tell the difference. "What did you even study?" because he is genuinely shocked at her stupidity. "The textbooks take so long to decipher and barely have pictures..."
So Wirth ends up making them study into the night and for a week straight they start drilling in the basics. Which she semi understood until he pulled out models and analogies with his mud magic.
Thus begins their mentor/mentee dynamic and Darren unironically calling him "Professor"
So when she improves and gets passing grades just before the summer they're like super duper happy
They both do summer internships at the Bureau of Magic's Power Administration and Darren like knows his whole worth-power-value mindset origin.
"Why not go for something more attainable?" "Like?" "Your... brother?" "Why my brother?" "Surely, you're close to him." "Not really, we've barely talked since he went to school. He's much older than me..." "What's his job?" "He's a Divine Visionary." "What's his name?" "Orter." Darren gets struck with the biggest WTF???? since that guy tried to like kill her.
No wonder Darren was in such a sour mood when she first saw Wirth, he was related to the guy who hated her guts and nearly beat the crap out of her during the questioning she had to do at the Bureau!
"How about we get an internship over the summer and meet him?" and he's like ok.
And thus, we are exposed to Darren's self-centered/self-interested personality and lack of communication skills (since she thinks she's easily readable, SHE'S NOT)
She manages to set up a meeting between them (Rinka and Orter) and completely destroys his self-esteem and confidence by getting straight to the point. "Do you know he has sever self-esteem issues because you're not giving him any attention?"
Orter's tryna understand what's happening but Wirth is like what the hell: "I didn't ask for you to butt into my own problems!" and he fumbles his anger/embarassment towards Orter but broski is just like: "Is that true?" regarding Darren's question.
Rinka makes the situation worse by tryna deescalate the situation with a soothing/calming spell. "There's no need to use additional violence, ruins the atmosphere more than needed." Rinka comments. "I've placed a sound barrier too. It's a safe space."
Wirth at Darren - "I CARE THAT SOMEONE'S TRYING TO JUST SHOVE THEMSELVES INTO MY PRIVACY LKKE THEY KNOW ME!!" The 3 of them just watch him pop off at Darren before it devolves into his insecurities: "Are you trying to make me feel even more worthless than I already did?!"
"I only agreed to help you with your studies! Not to get help with my own life!"
"You can't just FIX me! You can't just come in like that expecting that everything gets resolved in an instant and then you take all the credit as 'mY sAvIoR', do you have any idea how INANE OF AN IDEA THAT IS?! No! Of course you don't! Because you only ever look after yourself!!"
"Wirth. Is what you're saying true?" and bro leaves with no answer (on the verge of tears)
Their whole dynamic crumbles and Darren has some REFLECTION TIME YAYYYYYY. Some slow improvement on Darren's part with Rayne's help (blud shows his point through his actions that mimic her behaviour)
Rayne points out that Darren is not as easy to read as everyone believes her to be. Specifically, regarding her hatred for Orter and that she'd never even try to think about sabotaging Wirth. "It's only been a month since you've joined, you collected 1 whole gold coin already. I doubt it."
And then she would have apologised in person but like. Wirth is studying for the hardest attainable credit ever??? so she writes an apology letter and prays it gets read because yeh.
Dw blud read it becuz the letter ended up in Shuen's fangirl mail inbox and bro got motivated a bit more and like: oh-kay...
They're friends again yayyyy and the DV Candidate Exam is happening and they bicker through the entire ordeal until they arrive at the final round. The 1v1 battles and he gets obliterated by Rayne *whomp whomp whomp*
But surprise! His bro watched him struggle and decided to give him some affirmation and suggests replacing him (Wirth) for the winter break visit because he's kinda like disappointed that he didnt get into the next round (he wanted to do a rematch against Darren) and like the dad favouritism/worth shenanigans.
Darren gets 2nd place and enters the Trimagicathlon.
When Darren heard the match ups she got mad because she wouldn't be able to fight Wirth. (In terms of raw power, Rayne is just superior that she was lucky to be blessed with her crazy cheatcode magic to make the matchup work.)
They were in different brackets too so it just added salt to the insult bro.
So they're friends again and because Wirth doesn't have to go to his parents Darren is like: Let's intern again! But before that, mid-terms/finals!!
And that's when people start to catch whiff off seeing the two together more often.
"Have you heard? The 3rd fang is seeing that crazy wandless psycho!" "What!? Aren't they rivals or something?" "Didn't you see them at the library earlier? They were smiling at each other!"
The Magia Lupus were also kinda curious about this too so they asked him and bro's reaction is priceless because he was immersed in making a model/analogies to help Darren until they arrived. Lost his composure, literally screamed in their faces for ruining the models, and like he legit says: "Even if I did like her she's only interested in Rayne Ames"
Ain't no way in hell he's gonna become a simp for her you know?
"Theoretically, what would happen if I said I had feelings for you?"
"Then theoretically, what if I said 'yes'?"
"I doubt anything would change. We'd bicker, help each other out. Bicker more. Oh and you might be able to join us for board game night."
"Sounds fun but also boring at the same time because it just sounds like what friends do."
"I've never really had feelings for anyone so it's a bit new to me."
Wirth is dejected a bit.
Conflict of interest is she brings bro over to Rayne's BIGGEST SECRET—his bunnies and gets mad mad at her. Wirth wants to get involved but the two of them tell him to stay out of it. "This happened before you got into the picture."
But yuhh if Wirth ever confessed, he'd get friendzoned in a heartbeat because 2nd male lead syndrome!
Darren probably tried to get Rayne to join the Magia Lupus board game nights but he'd rather meet his bunnies over people so Darren gets comfy with them.
Criticizes their diets so hard (seriously why is wirth's favourite food fruit punch???), she literally is starting to become overworked as a 3rd year making nearly 15 lunchboxes every single day.
The main character syndrome it girl to overworked parent pipeline is so real for her.
She literally bonks their heads in s1 when she realises they did all that weird stuff. "I thought we were besties!" she shakes her head and penalties them to without magic for atleast 4 days.

I understand what you’re trying to do with quality control, but it is starting to feel weird when you clearly have characters who a significant minority are voting up as queer and you’re questioning if the characters are queer enough.
I know that characters and people are two different cases, and I can quietly remove myself here, but I’m having a lot of fun when I’m not being ambushed with more arbitrary standards about what queer can and can’t look like, so I wanted to try an ask first.
I understand not wanting a character who isn’t explicitly queer to win, but it’s honestly upsetting to have my dash keep being interrupted with rules lawyering about what counts as queer and what doesn’t. Do you think you could maybe make note of the possible issues and just discuss them together if they win instead of discussing it every time another character turns up “questionable”? I’m otherwise really enjoying your tournament
I mean that is what I’m trying to do? Like there’s only two characters so far (out of 204 in the competition) who have been brought up after the polls went live, and like … four total posts I’ve made about it tops? Five, I guess, including this one. One asking for clarification on the question being asked in the first place, one kind of agreeing to that because again I haven’t read, and then one for each character saying it’s just something we will come back to as needed because there was some push back and I don’t really want to debate it before it’s even an actual issue as I can’t do anything during the first round anyway since it's already up. I don’t want the people pointing it out to feel ignored and for it to evolve into a discourse in the notes because it goes unaddressed. So I answered them on the second character same as the first to say let’s come back to this if it progresses past round one.
I’m questioning not if they’re “queer enough” though. We've got a wide variety of character from all over the gender/sexuality/romantic orientation spectrum. I'm not trying to gatekeep what counts as queerness. But when I do ask for quality control I am asking if it’s even canon at all that they are queer inside the text of the book. Not 'queer enough', just are they queer in canon, point blank. The rules did state canon is a requirement, but I can’t read every book submitted to check that. Sometimes I’ll know things aren’t correct, like in the ship tournament someone submitted Sam/Frodo (which is an example of what I mean. It’s not that they “aren’t queer enough” it’s that they just straight up are not stated to be queer, as much as we as fans might enjoy the idea that they are and there might be some subtext we can take from their devotion, it’s not in the pages so it does not count), but if I don’t know I have to pitch it towards you guys. And I let A Lot of characters in, so I won’t know a lot of them. For these two characters in particular I can’t make a judgement call on my own as I haven’t read the book, which is why it's getting talked about. (Although again, as I said, I'm really not trying to debate their eligibility at this time. If they win it'll be something to bring up before round two, but as of now we aren't debating it) I put up a list ahead of the polls of the characters submitted that I had already thinned out a bit with characters I knew didn't qualify and passed the question off to my followers to try and get all of that out of the way before the actual competition starts to avoid things like this, (because as you said, now that the competition is started people are voting for them, because people like these characters, so it's obviously not ideal for a debate to be breaking out now after it's up about their eligibility in the competition) but the polls are obvi getting more attention than a long list so I’m getting some new questions now.
I want everyone to be having fun, and i'm sorry if this is detracting from that for you, but again when it's characters I don't know that people are bringing up I have to actually ask about it or else it doesn't really seem fair

Oh? Hello, I guess. I didn't expect to see anyone here.. Do you like video games? How about movies? Did you know I'm actually a screenwriter? Well not actually.. I mean I kinda am, or I think I am? I did help in a muscial though, they used the script I wrote. I thought it was pretty cool! What did you think?

★ I'm in my early twenties, so do understand I have a job and life to worry about, I also can be quite busy but I'll do my best to keep everyone updated and things of the sort.
★ I have a terrible habit of forgetting things or getting sidetracked, so please bare with me. I may get things confused and if so feel free to correct me!
★ I have a lot of brain rot going on for certain things currently, that specifically being Scott Pilgrim Takes off/vs the world. Kieran Culkin, succession, and Lymelife which I obsess over every single day. Oh, I'm also a huge Garfield and Pink panther lover.
★ I'm a rambler, sometimes I get excited and start talking too much. So my apologies if I post too much, I also might be a bit extra with trying to make everything look nice or good.
Anyways, let's get to the more important information as well as some rules and basics.
☕ I've watched both the show and movie, but have not read the comics yet. Although I have read up a few of the characters wiki and have been spoiled so I know something's but not a lot.
👾 Everyone is welcome to ask or even just pop in, you can also claim emoji's, just let me know and I'll add them to the anon list! Ooc, Non-canon, Canon are allowed. Shipping as well, as long as it's nothing illegal or wrong. Examples being Neil X Knives, or trying to ship a character who is lesbian like Roxy with Neil which I doubt would happen but better to say something cause you never know honestly with how the internet is.
☕ Nsfw is not allowed, you could perhaps make a few light jokes or something just nothing to vulgar and keep it vague please. Politics, Problematic asks, or anything along the lines are not allowed.
There's also what's been happening with Palestine and Israel, I am Pro-Palestine. Hopefully I'm wording that correctly, if not my apologies. I have an ooc account where I will spread awareness for that, reblogs and likes of the sort. My likes for this blog will most likely be full of stuff for support of Palestine as well, if you do not like that do block me. It's not that hard.
👾 I will not tolerate hate torwards anyone's gender, sexuality, race, or anything of the sort. Pro-Shippers and Com-Shippers, do not interact.

Aaaa hello!!! 💕👋
I’ve adored your art for such a long time!!! I was wondering if you might be able to share how you texture your art, and how you make lighting so warm and natural? /not forced
Your ship is everything to me btw!!!
-Pluto 🩵
Hi hi! I'm very honored that you liked my art and my ship 😭😭😭💕
Anyway, of course! Although I have to skip on the texture part because I don't feel comfortable sharing it rn (and also I had a hard time explaining my steps too zzzz) so perhaps I will open up about it one day
As for the lighting, I sat down for hours thinking of ways to explain it but i just dk how to explain it in English so I recorded the basic lighting I do most of the time:
You can get the shadow tree thing here on csp asset (although I bought it when it was cheaper I didn't know they raised it to 1000 clippy now 🤧) Another one that I use almost religiously is this one from creative market (my lect gave the file to us in class hhh I'm not insane enough to pay that much for an overlay). You don't need to pay at all though! I've seen tons of it in google for free its just a normal shadow overlay lol
I don't usually draw my own shadow and lighting and even for rim lights I just select the layer and use the shrink tool and gaussian blur the heck out of it. I think the last time I actually draw the shadow and lighting by hand is when I draw this one a few months ago (cw suggestive but link is here if you want to see the lighting)
Majority of the time I spend whenever I draw on my laptop is the lighting because it's mostly a trial and error process and it does takes time for me to figure out which one looks nice in the end. For the sake of time and simplicity of the video I just show the basic way of me doing the lighting but I did ended up working on the render more after I'm done with the video lol
Personally, I think doing color blocks and determining the overall tint of it (Like this one I set it to be like a warm pinkish tone) really helps you focus on what you want the end result to be and saves time on figuring out the color while you paint.
here's the sketch and the end result:

I wish this is helpful enough for your or anyone to understand and try out! :3

On Ships With Age Gaps
I've thought about writing a post like this for a long time, but I always decided against it because I don't feel the need to justify anything I say (or do, or enjoy, or ship, or write) to the good people of tumblr.
However, I do think that there are some people on here who, rather than being actively cruel or hateful towards certain shippers/writers, are just really confused or grossed out and don't understand why we people like these things and don't want to just assume that we're all degenerate freaks, and that maybe they might benefit from learning my story.
(Note that this is just my story. Other people may or may not have their own stories, which may or may not resemble mine-- the point is that these stories exist, and that just because you don't understand doesn't mean there isn't a reason.)
I was in middle school when I first realized that I had a (very normal) problem: I was attracted to guys, but boys my age were obnoxious. (Every heterosexual female reading this is nodding their head in sympathy.) Many of them made rude jokes, and said nasty things, and most of them were just generally immature and irresponsible and not-at-all crush-worthy.
Adult guys, on the other hand, were nice and sweet and smart and mature (*insert laughter here*). They knew how to be responsible, and how to treat girls right and take care of the people who mattered to them. They were ready to get married and settle down in a house with a white picket fence and 2.5 kids. (You get the idea. Give me a break, I was, like, eleven or twelve and most of the men in my life really were great guys in happy and stable marriages.)
So, like many other girls my age, I fantasized about attractive twenty-something-year-olds falling madly in love with me. (I can not hammer this home enough: this is perfectly normal behavior.)
But at the same time, I knew that this sort of relationship was obviously something I was not in any way ready for, and, in any case, I didn't actually know very many attractive single guys in this age range. (Because why would I?)
So, instead, like any normal kid, I gravitated toward stories I could live vicariously through. Stories about about girls my own age (or maybe a little older) who fell for guys who loved them back. Guys who were willing to wait for them. Or at the very least guys who treated them like equals, and, once they were old enough, might start seeing them in more of a romantic light.
The very first relationship like this that I remember falling for was Sesshomaru and Rin from Inuyasha.
(Actually, my first real adult/minor ship was probably Lux and Eric from Life Unexpected, but after that dumpster-fire of an ending, I didn't want to think about anything related to that show ever again.) (Although it did introduce me to One Tree Hill, which is still one of my favorite shows of all time, so I guess it did something right.) (And Nathan and Haley probably also fit the bill-- Nathan wasn't an adult, but he was mature and responsible and ready to settle down. TV really should bring back teen marriage plotlines instead of endless cycles of love triangles.)
I discovered anime in seventh grade, and Inuyasha was my second real anime. (In case you're wondering, Fairy Tail was my first.) I quickly fell in love with Rin (who was an example of what would become one of my favorite character archetypes), and her relationship with Sesshomaru fascinated me.
Here you had this demon who hated humans, only to be bewildered when one try to help him, leading him to use a part of his heritage that he'd been rejecting until now in order to save her. And then she just. Follows him. And he lets her? And he just spends the entire series treating her like an equal and letting her do literally whatever she wants?
(To those who read them as father and daughter: uh, if I saw a parent with this sort of laissez-faire approach to child-raising, I would be very concerned. He treats her like a traveling companion and constantly defers to her wishes. She gets kidnapped and he only comes to rescue her when he's sure that's what she wants? Very parental of him.)
And then when he's finally about to reach the goal he's been working towards this entire time, he gives it up the moment Rin gets hurt. ("Nothing was worth losing her?" ICONIQUE, nobody is doing it like him!) And then in the final battle, he fights alongside the same people he was trying to kill when we first met him. All because Rin has taught him that humans have worth, that weakness isn't a sin, that there are more important things than strength and hatred? Are you kidding me?
I've already gone into my love for this ship here, so I'm not going to repeat the whole thing, but I will say that I loved what we saw of them in the finale-- the two of them separated, so that Rin could grow up and decide what she wanted out of their relationship. Because he was willing to wait for whatever choice she decided to make.
This was a game changer for me. It was exactly what I hadn't realized I was looking for. I needed more. What followed was a love for various other wholesome bonds between protective/traumized men and the girls who taught them about love.
Naofumi and Raphtalia of Rising of the Shield Hero (talk about clueless guys-- he seriously managed to convince himself that he only saw her as daughter because he had no other frame of reference and had been so traumatized by the last girl he liked), Kyoko and Katsuya (dude was more than willing to wait for her and only stepped in when she needed him to be there for her? Find me another man this swoon-worthy) and Kureno and Arisa of Fruits Basket (I normally don't buy love-at-first-sight, but for these two cuties I'll suspend my disbelief), Zack and Rachel of Angels of Death (the age gap is the least problematic thing here), Mamoru and Haruka of Until Death Do Us Part (the man literally laughed the idea of their relationship off until he couldn't anymore. And then, again, he let her go and waited until she was ready), Satoru and Airi of Erased (the soulmatism!), Accelerator and Last Order of A Certain Magical Index (alright, fine, I've never been able to decide if I prefer these two to stay purely platonic or eventually fall in love, but whatever they have I adored), and many, many others.
But the thing here is that none of these relationships are the main focus of their respective series. I wasn't going out and actively looking for these ships, but when they showed up in the stories I loved I would certainly enjoy them. (Love stories were cute and all, but magic and adventure were way more interesting to middle-school me.)
It was only when I was in high school and I started getting more into romantic stories that began actively seeking out the sort of thing I was looking for. Seiji and Shiharu of Love So Life are still near and dear to my heart (my guy buys her a ring, tells her he'll never want anyone else, refuses to let her reciprocate, and doesn't go near her for almost six years to make sure that she doesn't choose him until she's really ready. KING), Mao and Hiro of House of the Sun will never stop being adorable (Taamo's drawing style is so stinkin' cute), The Start of Niina is as heartbreakingly lovely as ever (the gift and trauma of reincarnation!), and Faster Than a Kiss is a gem (another great guy who does his best to take care of the girl he loves but won't lay a hand on her until she's ready).
And it wasn't just age gap stories. Because the age gap wasn't the real point-- the point was mature guys who were ready to commit and smart girls who knew a good thing when they saw it. Which is why I also devoured stories about teens getting married (please bring these back, western media) and arranged marriages ("we may not have wanted this but we are going to make it work"). The World is Still Beautiful remains one of my favorite fantasy-romances, Absolute Peace Strategy is hilarious, I really need to reread Prince of Silk and Thorn, Dawn of the Arcana is fantastic, Taisho Maiden Fairytale is super-cute, etc. etc. (This is not an exhaustive list, btw-- feel free to DM me or drop an ask if you're looking for more in any of these genres.)
Once I discovered fandom, fanon, and shipping culture, it was a given that my love for these dynamics would cross over into media where such things weren't canon.
(And, for the nth time, all of this was perfectly normal and understandable behavior for a girl my age.)
These were stories and tropes I adored. But they were stories. Fiction. They were not reality. And even at the very earliest stages of this interest, I understood the difference.
When I was in seventh or eighth grade, there was an incident involving one of my female classmates and a twenty-something-year-old male student-teacher. I was not directly involved (I barely knew the girl) and I wasn't exactly asking for details (I've always prefered to stay out of real-world drama if I can), but middle school girls are loud and I have good ears, so I was pretty sure I got the gist. (Years later, I spoke with one of the other teachers who'd been involved with handling the aftermath, and she confirmed and added some more context.)
To simplify, the teacher in question had somehow gotten a hold of the girl's phone number and had been sending her texts that were not appropriate for a grown man to be sending to a thirteen year old girl. This made her highly uncomfortable, but she was too scared to say anything-- it wasn't as though there was anything explicit or overtly sexual (he told her how pretty she was, and how much he looked forward to seeing her every day, and I do not know or want to know what else)-- and she didn't want to look like she was make a big deal out of nothing. But when her friends found out, they immediately said "this is not okay," and marched her to the nearest female teacher to confess the whole thing. (Good for them!)
Again, I was not directly involved. I did not discuss the subject with any of my classmates, I was obviously not present when the school staff spoke with the guy, and I have no idea what exactly the school policy was for this sort of thing. All I saw from my end was a crying girl being comforted by her friends as they dragged her off, and within the next day or two we were told that this teacher would be ending his postion early (he'd been supposed to leave soon, regardless, as he was only a temp). I never saw him again.
And there was never a question in my mind that this man's behavior was deplorable, that this story should never have happened, and that this girl was a victim of a horrible injustice.
(I have a vivid recollection of being outraged when another teacher-- who happened to be related to him (probably how he'd gotten the job, I don't remember ever our school having had a student-teacher before or after)-- told us he was being forced to leave earlier than planned like we were supposed to be sad about it, and then insisted we make a good-bye card for him (while making snide comments under her breath about how some people needed to learn to keep their mouths shut). (I honestly don't remember whether or not I helped decorate the stupid thing, or what the girl did while this was happening.) I was not old enough or mature enough to fully realize that what this other teacher did was also hideously inappropriate and ought to have been reported as well, but I did know that it was nasty and underhanded and I didn't like it. (This was not the only time when this teacher behaved obnoxiously or passive-aggressively insulted a student for bringing a complaint to the school staff or doing something else she disliked (I was on the receiving end at least once or twice, but that's another story), and she did not return the next year. Good riddance.))
In any case, despite the fact that age gap stories (and even the occasional teacher-student romance) were something I liked seeing in media, I recognized the clear distinction between fiction and reality, and what was right and wrong. I didn't even need to think about it. Even at thirteen, when I didn't fully understand what was and wasn't appropriate behavior for a teacher, this was something I understood perfectly.
And to anyone reading this and saying, "alright, fine, so you liked age gap relationships as a kid because they let you vicariously live out your perfectly ordinary teenage fantasies, but you're not fifteen anymore. Isn't it time you moved on?":
People in glass houses shouldn't throw stones. Y'all still read/watch the same stories you enjoyed as children-- that's why you're in these fandoms to begin with. If you can understand still loving those things as adults, it shouldn't be much of a leap to grasp me liking the same sort of fictional relationship dynamics I did in high school.
(Which isn't to say those are the only kind of ships I like. They never were. But I'll probably always have a soft spot for them.)
TL;DR: I initially got into age gap ships because they let preteen me fantasize about a hot older guy sweeping me off my feet. No, this did not prevent me from recognizing predatory behavior from real adults. No, I'm not letting go of the things I liked as a kid just because they make you uncomfortable.

Trigun Stampede Episode 9 Liveblog
Ah back to the pianos. Although this might be an organ, I'm not sure if it's hooked up to the pipe-looking things behind it
Oh Knives also got help from SEEDS people. ...I thought they were in contact with all the other survivors? I wonder what happened here.
"production" "cut [the plants] off from a higher dimension" so "they can't maintain their bodies" Are they extra/multi-dimensional beings? Am I understanding that right? Huh.
that withered effect is actually horrifying, okay.
and the harvest is even worse
okay. okay ethics aside. I don't think this is a good long-term plan???? Like. Does this group have the tech to clone more Plants? Can they run that tech without power from the Plants they just killed?
Wait so this group also knows that Knives is a Plant? I'm surprised they're not using him for resources too.
Vash walks in in the middle of this??? Wow that's some timing.
okay tense scene but I still cannot take "Millions Knives" seriously as a name.
Wow and he actually kept using guns after that? I guess Vash doesn't seem to have much spite, but honestly even so I would have expected him to avoid them.
...I don't think that's the same gun, but it looks similar enough in shape that I'm considering it
I don't think 'once' is enough to warrant asking 'how many times.' Even if you count her initially taking Vash in, a) how would Knives know that b) that still doesn't warrant asking 'how many times'
Big glowing ball of purple energy. Hmm. I'd consider this a little late in the game to introduce something higher-fantasy (at least visually) to a show that's mostly been sci-fi, but okay.
Okay 'gate' is no longer requiring capitalization. And may or may not be a black hole.
I did not expect Knives to cut off his arm! I honestly thought it was going to be something kinda more mundane! ...why, though?
THEY'RE STILL ALIVE IN PRESENT-DAY!????? WHAT
But. But if they're still around. Are they just in hiding?? Why?? The whole 'lost technology' thing makes this so weird, because that means that they're kind of just sitting on the knowledge. And also presumably the Plants that were on the ship, too? Ethics aside, those also count as life-saving resources in a place that is in desperate need of that. Or if they're that close to where Knives had been, maybe he stole them already?
Well. Given the worms in the next shot I presume he'll know about them soon regardless.
Okay. Okay I had thought 'oh maybe they just live longer,' but I thought that'd be strange because... why would that be the case? Technology again? Genetic tampering???
I will say 150 years fits what I was thinking more than like. 40.
Okay yeah I didn't think that going in and out of cryosleep was an option. Do they like, automate it? That seems dangerous.
Yes, just. Light a cigarette over the very rare and extremely limited foliage, Roberto. Great plan.
actually huh do they like normally synthesize nicotine on this planet? that'd make some sense.
Okay before Vash answers the question of whether or not he can make up with Knives, my prediction is "no but actually yes." In that logically he doesn't think so but emotionally he does. And he's probably going to go with his emotions every time he sees a potential opportunity.
"third of the seven circles" yeah, okay. we're doing dante's inferno now.
Oh wait I was curious and went to google it. Dante's inferno has nine circles. Nevermind. In case it is relevant somehow anyway, wikipedia says the third circle is for gluttony, where sinners are punished in "an icy mud".
Googled it an heaven is also supposed to have nine circles. This tangent was probably wholly irrelevant lol.
What are these blink during Zazie's dialogue? They're interesting and I don't think we've seen them used like this before, but they're also throwing me off.
Oh more lore! Neat. (although. how and why does Zazie know this??)
Wait. Was the crash the twins caused the same as the one that people initially arrived on the planet in? It's only been 150 years??
...why are all of these plants red, actually? Haven't they established that's an unhealthy color for them? I thought Knives would try to take care of them a bit better?
Oh okay this is not an unfounded question. Nice.
End notes:
Okay yeah again nothing really to say here! I guess we're out of Vash's main flashback, but there's probably gonna be a bit more about what he's been up to in the meantime. I am really curious as to why Roberto and Meryl seem to have been moved from one location to another, though. I'd assume they'd be mostly irrelevant to Knives' group?

Not to send you into another Izzy rage (unless you want one) but I saw another hideously bad take about Izzy objectifying Ed during the ep10 argument scene? Sigh. Really goes to show the lack of ability to attribute normal human emotions to Izzy. He can't be angrily yelling at Ed because he's angry his friend has had a massive behavior change and is nothing like the man he thought he knew. Izzy must have intentionally hit a vulnerable spot so he would get a sexual thrill from Ed being a sexy dom who chokes men. He didn't gently reach out to touch the face of a man who was finally behaving like his old self out love for his old friend, only creepy lust. And Izzy is such a creepy objectifier! Look how Ed looks uncomfortable and knocks him away. Never mind that Ed choked him against the wall, that's not objectifying so it's okay. Oh, and by the way, tell me if you got my Ask about the first Daddy Dom on the good ship, uh, Big Daddy. It may have disappeared in a tragic Tumblr accident And also if you want me to NOT occasionally send you daddies, say so. Making up lots of boyfriends for Izzy makes me feel better. The poor guy.
Oh, I enjoy my Izzy rages!
Gonna reply to the end of this first, then swing back up: I have two asks from you in my box; Monday and Sunday. If there's more, I don't have more, I just have those two.
I promise I'm not ignoring them and you're not annoying me or anything like that, I enjoy your daddy dom and related asks very much (even though I might not always have a long/deep reply for them, I'm not amazing at replies to more general things than meta) it's just that yesterday was a high stress day for me. I spent the whole day knowing I had to make a phone call at the end of my day (I'm nocturnal, so 9am when places open is the end of my day) and not just any phone call, but I had to call a vet about my duck. Then there was also the incident with the AO3 comment, and I spent most of the day compiling my metas and word counting them (40k) so I could add them to my general word count for the year. With all that, I didn't have a lot of time to reply to more than a few messages! But I'm going to get to your messages today!
And, I don't know if you noticed, but I gave you your own tag on my blog! So I can keep you and your collection of daddies sub-categorized!
Right, moving on to the rest:
I can see what's happening re: Izzy. First, they decided he's homophobic because of the daddy scene and the 'namby pamby' comment (I've also seen people double down on that, despite Izzy being in love with Ed and thusly queer himself. And I do know that queer people can be homophobic and queerphobic, but it does deeply change the angle from which that homophobia or queerphobia is coming, and also I stand by my reasoning that if Izzy was homophobic, Ed would have punted him by now, because he would have shown it around Jack; his issues aren't homophobia, they're "you're not being a proper pirate" or "you're not doing your job", and possibly a perpetuation of a cycle of abuse he received, that he isn't looking at critically enough to realize he's acting like a homophobe at Lucius).
So, the "he's homophobic!" didn't work at shaming fans into hating him, so they levelled it up: he's a racist fetishizer. Another read that, although I can understand people having that read or being uncomfortable with how he acts, it's been pointed out by a black fan, in fact (among others as well), that considering the effort OFMD puts into actively telling racists to go fuck themselves, it would be poor writing on OFMD's part to let Izzy slide the way the show does. It's also worth noting that being rude or abrasive to a person of color does not an instant racist make, it can just be a person-on-person issue. That is actually a thing. Furthermore, which is another thing said in that piece and what I am referencing, the idea that Izzy wants Edward to be violent because he's a man of color, not because he's a pirate is not only laughable but a downright daft read, because everyone on that ship is a pirate and violent. If Ed was the only person of color it might be problematic, but they're all so diverse and such a wonderfully mixed bag it means that Ed being a person of color is not why Izzy wants him to be violent.
And we've discussed at length here why Izzy likely wants Ed to be violent (pirate! safety! protection! vulnerability!) so I won't dig back in here.
When "racist!" and "homophobic!" didn't work, they started saying he was abusive, to which most of us said, "He was a meanie pants and then Edward cut off his toe and fed it to him? That is not Izzy being abusive. If you want to pick someone in that sequence who is abusive, it is most certainly Ed, did we watch the same show? Ed cutting off his toe can't even be labelled as reactive abuse (eg. the victim of abuse gets abused to such an extent they start to strike back, somewhat mimicking their abuser's actions) because it's such a massive escalation from nasty words to outright permanent physical violence."
So now those three things don't work because the arguments either don't hold weight (abusive), would make the show infinitely less good and well put together than it is right now and undermine a lot of the messages (racist), or is undermined itself by Izzy being in love with another man (homophobic), they've moved on to saying he's a fetishizer, because that makes sense, right? Telling us who love him that we're fetishizers didn't work, so they'll tell us that he's the fetishizer.
Lots of people have explained better than I ever could that the word 'fetishize' is being misused at length, but the tl;dr is that fetishizing is very different to 'finding someone attractive' or 'enjoying when they act a certain way'. A fetish is something that is attractive to a person that isn't naturally supposed to be. Finding someone's lips or tits hot isn't a fetish, finding someone's feet hot is, because it's not really meant as a sexual thing. It also doesn't mean it's a bad thing, it's just a term. Fetishizing and sexualizing are both ridiculous terms, especially when they're being applied to one grown adult finding another grown adult attractive or sexy in some way.
It's also weird to read Izzy cupping Ed's cheek with tears in his eyes as sexual rather than romantic or just affectionate. Ed has been a mess for days, and considering Ed was actively discussing suicide in 1x04 when they first boarded the Revenge (something Izzy looks devastated about, by the way, and then tries very hard to put aside as, "Well that makes no fucking sense!" and ignore because how, how, how do you handle something like that? How do you instantly swallow down that the person you love most on this godforsaken Earth is considering dying as a good idea because of the mental instability you've been spending most of your energy trying to stabilize for what seems like it might be years?) and has spent 3 days crying in a blanket fort and seeming completely not himself (and I've seen people say what he's doing is a healthy mechanism for getting over and through a breakup, and I don't disagree, but I do think he's also trying to become Stede and I'm not really sure that's as healthy as the crying and songwriting and letting out his feelings) on top of being apathetic and lethargic and disinterested in everything before they boarded the Revenge, and finally there's a spark, a hint of who he used to be, and Izzy is clutching desperately to it because he wants his person back!!!
Sure, maybe the chokeslam turned him on, but as we've discussed here before: physical reactions are not something we control. You can be turned on by something you are actively disgusted by and do not want in the slightest. Bodies are betrayers when it comes to things like this. Izzy potentially being turned on by being chokeslammed by the person he's most attracted to and in love with isn't shocking and doesn't mean he was, in that moment, lusting after Ed and hoping that being mean to him would lead to them boning against the wall, it just doesn't.
So now we've done racist, homophobic, abusive and fetishizing, I assume the next steps over the next couple of weeks will be firstly that Izzy and Edward have clearly been a twosome for many years, and thusly it's incestuous because they're brother-coded (rather than canonically framed as being married couple coded), and then either because Izzy is historically 16 (much like Stede is historically 29) or because he's short (and frankly I do not know which one is worse), the argument will be we're all horrible people for shipping them, not because Izzy could get hurt but because we're turning Ed into a sex offender.
Can't wait to see that unravel between now and s2!!!
Please continue to send me lots of daddy dom and Izzy asks, I love receiving them and waking up to asks about Izzy makes me unfathomably happy.

You probably didn't want an actual answer to your disliking of Nagito post so sorry that I'm providing it, but I did have to see that in the tag so here you go: People like Nagito because of the complexity revealed in his free time events, and personally I also like him for the fact that he kept saving everyone's lives multiple times in the trials and nobody seems to notice. He also arguably has not actually accomplished much terrible stuff (relative to, you know, if you know the games), and his intentions are to accomplish absolute good even if he clearly is not mentally stable enough to realize he's going about it horribly wrong. There's all of the luck cycle stuff and how that would understandably affect a person, with his examples again provided in the free time events. They also made an OVA that revealed a lot of stuff about his thought processes and the fact that Hajime in fact does not hate him. So I mean, those are some of the reasons why people like him? He's interesting. All of this comes from the source material and canon stuff meant to elaborate on it. Sorry if you don't care, but logically people who care will see it if they look in the character tag and all
It may have been a little rash of me to actually tag the post in a way that people who do love and enjoy the character would see it, especially having worded it the way I did. Nevertheless, I did want people to tell me what I was missing, or to just admit that they're into... *Gesturing at Nagito* ... That...
[Edit - Looking over your ask again, you may have misunderstood me, or maybe I've misunderstood you. Nagito is an undeniably fascinating character, and I completely understand liking him. My point of contention were people who were/are attracted to him, as well as shipping him with Hajime and/or Chiaki, who I perceived as not wanting anything to do with him. This was especially prompted by Nagito's (personally agitating) change of attitude partway through Chap. 4, where my negative views of him as a person really began to take hold.]
Although, I will be honest, I wasn't expecting an ask at all, but I appreciate your willingness to engage, and also be pretty civil. I did realize that I might've been too... I dunno, harsh, or something? Too judgemental might be closer to what I'm trying to say here...
Anyway, I suppose that without Free Time Events, and other canon supplemental information and insights, everyone would come to my fault conclusion, right? From what I've experienced in the last week or so of playing DR2 (Which has taken me up to the beginning of the investigation in Chapter 5, for context), Nagito has never been painted in a positive light. I can't say that anything I can remember from Ultra Despair Girls does him any favors, either.
Nagito's contributions to the class trials don't really go unnoticed, and at the beginning of the investigation in Chap. 5, Hajime directly states this. However, Nagito tends to be very obtuse with how he helps lead the others to the truth, and especially given the situation they're in, I can't blame anyone for considering Nagito more of a hindrance to their trials and general continued survival.
There's little else for me to say, since I have essentially no knowledge of the Free Time Events and OVAs. I moreso agree about Nagito being mentally unstable than the notion that his intentions are to accomplish the absolute good. Nagito is definitely interested in creating "absolute hope than can overcome any despair", but I'm not sure I can call that "good". However, I'm sure you'll agree that arguing over what is "good" in this context would be a matter of personal ideology and how you interpret the information given in-game, so we'd best not dwell on it.
----------------------------------------------------------
I apologize for the long answer to your ask, but I do genuinely want to thank you for your response. Ultimately, I was thinking "What am I missing here? What do people see in this guy that I'm seemingly blind to?", and you told me that I was absolutely missing something. You also made me realize that I did just about everything wrong with that post, and frankly, I'm lucky that I didn't raise the ire of someone who is far more passionate in their love for this man.
In case I have been unclear at any point, I am not being sarcastic in any part of this post, and I appreciate your efforts to expose the flaws in my reasoning, as it were.
Whether it be morning, afternoon, or night for you, I hope you have a good one.

A quick lesson on ships
Tumblr media
Because why not??😌
No but seriously, bare with me, I'm trying to answer your questions. Sit if you have to. Hehe
Uban Dictionary defines shipping as this:
A term used to describe fan fictions that take previously created characters and put them as a pair. It usually refers to romantic relationships, but it can refer platonic [sic] ones as well. (Just think of “shipping” as short for “relationSHIP”.) 9 Apr 2015
Ships can be platonic or romantic or both.
There's fictional ships and non fictional ships too. You ship two people you want to be in a relationship or who already are in a relationship or who you suspect to be in a relationship- perhaps due to queer baiting, ship baiting, romance baiting etc.
In the shipping fandom, there are two sects of people. Those who are Proships those who are Antiships- antis are ironically considered part of the shipping community because for some reason they are always in shippers business💀
Antishippers are those who oppose a particular ship or shipping in general (more on that later.)
Proshippers are well- Pro ships.
Pro-Ship
A term mostly used in fandoms, but can stretch outside of this to include original characters. The core belief is that shipping two fictional characters, no matter if they are family, share ages gaps, considered to be unhealthy, or show blatant signs of being abusive or other generally unsavory behaviours, are valid in a fictional setting.
Pro-Shippers or "anti-antis" are also known as "rainbow meaties" and will use 🌈 + 🍖 emojis together often in their bio on twitter or other social media platforms- usually within fictional settings.
These shippers reinforce the idea fiction is separate from reality and shouldn't be confused with the other.
‘Anti’ is short for ‘anti-shipper’ or ‘anti-[ship]’.

Kindly read through this thread to get the gist of it.

Shipping non-fictional individuals is a subset of Proshipping, in my opinion, known also as alternative shipping- as far as my knowledge on it goes.
As with fictional shipping, alt ships have their antis too. People who disagree with shipping real couples in a romantic way for whatever arbitrary moral reasons they have and who feel entitled to go out of their way to correct, stop, police and punish such shippers.
Then there are those who although may be pro real people shipping think they have the right to tell others how they should ship and to what extent they can ship.
Others too prefer to ship real people platonically because they view romantic shipping of real people as problematic.
So to answer your question on Anon's post- there is no such thing as a Proshipper who is also Anti shipping. Thats oxymoronic. Perhaps they might be platonic shippers who are anti romantic ships but not necessarily romantic shippers themselves.
I don't think there's anything wrong with preferring to ship platonically. It is when they assume by virtue of their false sense of moderacy that they are better than others that shit starts to get funny.
Those shippers are delusionally confused beings with a supremacist imperialist complex rooted in ignorance and absurdities.
I usually walk by those quietly. keep it pushing. Gotta mind my business somehow even though most times I just want to pull their hair and bite them and shit😭
I try to keep it classy.
Lord knows I try.
You are either pro ship or anti ship. There's no in between. Those shippers who are shippers but claim they are not are nothing but fraudulent, fake us, simps trying to bamboozle their way through life- pardon my Swahili.
There are a lot of anti shippers moonlighting as shippers in this fandom. It's fascinating.
Personally I think those people are either confused or their desires to appeal to other Anti shippers must have morphed their brains into ass dick hybrids.
Anti shippers in general are notorious gatekeepers, gaslighters, bigots, high key sanctimonious and often have a cis white westernized sense of morality and ethics through which they fliter others and expect everyone and everything to conform to.
They impose their values on others, their ethics on others, resort to manipulation, policing, intimidation and bullying to impose their will etc.
Within shipping, there are those who are Proshipping yet anti certain ships. Most Tuktukkers are anti Jikook. And assume anyone who isn't a tuktukker is equally anti Tae Kook and so go ahead and exhibit anti behaviours towards them.
Think of such groups of shippers as Proshippers with a preference for particular ships if you will.
There are Pro shippers who also feel some kind of way about Shipping real life people or alt shipping.
Here's further resource to help you understand what proshipping is
Tumblr media
If you are intolerant with other shippers choice of ships or style of shipping and you traumatize them for it that's Anti shipping. Especially if you feel entitled and justified to traumatize others because you take a higher moral status over them.
You can be proship and not like how certain people, how they go about
Simply walk away, click off, mind your business. You are not the only adult in these streets and leave people to do what interests them.
I think for as long as I can remember, I've always been a proshipper and I ship both platonically and romantically, fictionally and alternatively💀
Some themes in fiction are a hard limit for me such as the R word, pedophilia, incest, child abuse- I just can never find the entertainment in those topics and will struggle through such themes.
But others believe it's just FICTION and those fictional characters aren't really dealing with the imaginary struggles we read about.
Yall do you sis.
I don't really know why people make a big deal of it or try to demonize the concept of shipping as if it were something strange or mysterious- just keep your moral values to yourself. I am not your mother's daughter. we were not raised in the same households.
Then again I think it all depends on the different cultures and social backgrounds we all come from and how entitled, supremacist or imperialist they are.
For Yoonmin, I shipped them romantically but didn't think they were a real couple at all. I just romanticized their interactions and found humor in it. At the back of my head I was expecting them each to one day find husbands or wives and go their merry ways and even harbored the thought they each could very much be in serious romantic relationships with others.
In similar ways, I shipped Minimoni and Vmin.
You can ship a pair romantically and not think at all that they are actually REAL.
A lot of jokers ship Jikook romantically and don't assume they are real. Just as a lot of people shipped say Elena and Stefan romantically even though Paul was married.
Some shipped Elena and Damon too due to their unscreen chemistry and even felt they could be a thing- that was before later it was revealed they had started dating in real life. Even that I was holding on to my Bonnie x Damon fantasies because Bonnie was my bias and I shipped her with everyone romantically- of course I didn't expect any of those ships to manifest into something because it was the character I was shipping not Kat herself. To this day I still love her onscreen chemistry and friendship with Damon and don't see how people could wish for it to be more than that😭
It was beautiful as is. Not everything should climax into sexual intercourse.
But if I felt at some point any of her ships had crossed into alternative ships I would have jumped on those and supported it whole heartedly.
If you assume a pair are a real couple and dating in real life that's alt shipping- a lot of alt shippers suspect a ship is real and that's why they ship them.
There is no such thing as platonic alt shipping.
And for me personally, because I believe Jikook are a real couple and have made that cross over I don't ship any of that pair romantically with other members anymore.
It's bizzare to me to ship someone I know has a partner romantically with anybody else- I make exceptions for Vmin of course💀
Tumblr media
I know JK is side eyeing me but I don't care.
I want Tae to be happy too😭😭😭
Tae just wants his bestfriend and soulmate😭
It's too much😭😭😭😭😭😭
He stays shooting his shots🤣
Jimin Harem is real🤭
I must admit, I catch myself slipping on Vmin and Minimoni every now and then- old habits die hard and they don't make it easy 😫
But that don't mean I think Vmin is dating. THAT WOULD BE WILD.
Tumblr media
Summary
Proshippers can be Platonic or Romantic shippers and you can ship a pair romantically and not assume they are real at all.
Anti shippers are just assholes trying to beat their values down people's throats.
Alt shippers don't ship their OTP with other players romantically.
I don't know what you mean by Jinkooker...
Do you ship Jinkook romantically or think they are real?? Sis...
Maybe you just ship them platonically or casually.
I ship all the ships platonically.
Especially all Jimin"s Tae's ships. I'd let my self flirt with the idea of romance every now and then.
JK's ships don't make sense to me as ships.
As nonplatonic ships I mean.
I'm fascinated each time I see a hardcore JK x any member ship besides Jikook swearing up and down JK is screwing Namjoon🤣🤣
I hope this helps??
