Hi, please let’s take appreciation for the smallest details that Murder Drones have

I love how despite having the same idea of somewhat decorating their lockers, they still show a bit of their different personalities

Nori has color in it, a lot of emotion too, with the exclamation marks and the little angry face, clearly not wanting people to mind in her business with her “STAY OUT!” message. The colors and the fact she has hearts and a dolphin (?) shows she does like cutesy stuff but enjoys edgy things thanks to the skull (?) drawing. Her hand writing is in bold and in all caps but is a rather round lettering

She is giving a bit of “that one girls who did the most decorated and messy-in-a-pretty-way school notes” vibes

Yeva on the other hand surprisingly does show a bit personality but not as much as Nori, its all in black, no color. Her lettering is much more sharper and even fancier in a way, and the words aren’t 100% in bold, her name isn’t in all caps, except for her “DO NOT DISTURB!!” Message. Which tbh is so silly she opted to words things like that. Has slightly poorly drawn stars and flowers doodles, a cutesy vibe in comparison to her sharp lettering.

I originally thought that her “do not disturb!!” message was misspelled, to show that she struggles writing in english, but then I realized it was written properly, its just the words where faded out and worded in a peculiar way. She makes it sounds that she uses the locker to sleep in it and she doesn’t want ppl to disturb her (if these are indeed lockers and not rooms). Or maybe she does struggle a lil when wording in English, who knows?

Its also interesting how the dolphin drawing, the stars and flower doodles are all from the outside world, from nature. Yeva and Nori probably know and have seen these things somewhere but I doubt they saw it in person or saw it daily while they lived on the labs/camps, its kinda cute and sad

And again is a bit sweet that despite their awful and dire conditions they still tried to have fun in some way.

But it’s so tragic at the same time bc they where probably women with interesting and cool personalities with aspirations but where forced in a horrible situation and livehood.

And then, whatever kinds of horrors it definitely changed them permanently as people, and not in a good way.

More humorous takes about the Bridgerton brothers that make me laugh is that I cannot stress enough, how much I love their 'unhinged for wife' energy. Because it's just so funny

Anthony, like, you can see it, he's not even trying to hide it, he can and will be a meanie to his nemesis Kate who he also happens to love more than life itself, and to everyone if they don't fall in line. that's his whole mojo. People meet him and know at first glance that Anthony Bridgerton will not hesitate to use a gun if the occasion calls for it, because he outright intimidates people into submission. So good luck trying to mess with him or with his wife. He will end you. Have you seen him play against his wife in Pall Mall. He loves her, but he will not lose to this woman! She will one day respect him!. He's the boss of the house dammit (he's not, it's Kate, but she lets him think he is)

Colin is my favorite. because he looks nice and he looks friendly, and he would totally sink to the deepest of the low to have Penelope the moment he kissed her. This man is absolutely as unhinged as Anthony possibly more so, and he hides it so well, that everyone thinks he's the most charming brother. In fact the only person who knows how crazy Colin really is, has to be Penelope. Colin can talk his way out of anything (even a murder sentence. Do you ever wonder why nobody has ever sued Penelope for defamation? Because I sure don't), he's a people person. It's maddening, I want to convince people that Colin is the worst of the worst, and people are still like 'but he looks like such a harmless guy, just look at him eat that eclair' yeah! I know! that's how he got to Penelope! he was all cute, pretending to be nice and by the time she discovered he was the devil in disguise, he already had blackmail material on her!!. Men like Colin scare me, because I know he's bats*t but I just can't prove it.

Benedict and Gregory are just the same version of unhinged, just in a different font. Because they actually believed themselves to be the sane ones and then they met their true loves and you see that sanity? it went out the window.

Benedict used to think he was such a gentleman, who respected ladies and would never dishonor one, and guess what kind of obsessive idiot he turned into the moment Sophie said 'no' to his seduction tactics, be my mistress this, be my mistress that, Sophie ( and I) just knows Benedict's thought process alone should be landing him in jail instead of her, but he gets away with it, because apparently annoying her to death doesn't actually count as a crime. And the thing is, that she's the only one who triggers the crazy in Benedict, he's perfectly sane with everyone else, but it's her and only her who has him going all naked swimming in the lake, and obsessive paintings of her face plastered on all his sketchbooks (and his home, actually I'm pretty sure Benedict has a secret Lady in Silver shrine somewhere in My Cottage, that he took down before Sophie could find out about it) , not to mention his whole 'F society if I can't f Sophie' love at first sight excuse that somehow everyone swallows without questioning how crazy Benedict actually is.

And then he had to go teach that to Gregory! And Gregory was such a sweetheart, I actually thought he was going to make it to half of his book without going unhinged and then Lucy tells him the name of her fiancee and he goes ' wait, I know the guy, he's super gay, I can't let you marry him... ' my brother in the force what is your problem! Leave the girl alone. She's your friend, stop stalking her, she's got her own problems to deal with!! Lucy did nothing to deserve how Gregory randomly went from nice guy she was super supportive of in the courtship of her best friend, to kinda obsessive dude who won't leave her alone and wants to ruin her arranged marriage (let's ignore that said arranged marriage needed to be ruined and it might as well be by him). Guy was a green flag for Hermione but the moment he began fixating on Lucy, homegirl kinda saw the light and was like ' he's crazy, yup, totally mad.. about me sure, but this guy... He's never been told no in his life and it shows, it shows for miles'

And I just laugh so hard because people look at Anthony's fed up face and somehow think that he's the worst to fear in in the Bridgerton family. But nobody knows just how crazy his brothers are, except their wives. At this point Anthony's resting B face has to be some sort of defense mechanism because he had to grow up with Benedict and Colin while trying to raise Gregory. He may look intimidating but he's actually a reasonable man if you think about it. But his brothers, those three are just hiding their unhinged for wife energy a lot better. And you just don't want to know what kinda chaotic crazy thing they're capable of doing if they think it would impress Penelope, Sophie and Lucy

Call Me Master - By Kooyi (8.5/10)

An evil Emperor with a human taxidermy collection? An insane dragon slave that stabs everyone in sight? A cute pink haired servant who loves pain? Our mysterious villainess with amnesia is the cruelest and darkest of them all. She's a slave trader who owns most of the cast.

Ananse is a beautiful and charismatic slave trader. She's also very powerful and wealthy. She only has to answer to the Emperor. He's one of the few men scarier than her.

We find her in a pool of blood, dying. She has been stabbed by a slave. Her people, the Regba, must collect special slaves to present to the Emperor. Dragons. Demons. Dangerous things like that. He likes to keep them as toys. Ananse is one of the most hated women in the world. She steals rare creatures, humanoid ones, from battlefields that are her Emperor's doing. Ravaged by his armies.

It's not a shock that one slave finally got her in the gut. She faces assassins nearly daily.

This is the man who killed her. A dragon named Solteo. He's...insane. He has some sort of deep relationship with Ananse.

Ananse doesn't have her memories, so she's clueless.

She tells Solteo she doesn't know who he is.

He screams and cries like he's in real pain. He says being forgotten by her is the cruelest thing that could happen to him.

Ananse told him he would be punished, after he stabbed her. Even near death she seemed confident, and now Solteo knows. He is in love with the woman who debased him. His owner. It's a cruel fate. He probably wouldn't have realized if Ananse had died, but she comes back stupid and weak.

She begs him for mercy, and he hates it.

She also apologized for breaking him before she died, so that implies....alot. This is not a light story. Slaves get beaten. They are property. The special ones get added to the Emperor's taxidermy collection. It's hard to guess what their relationship was, but he was afraid of her. Yet, when she returned from the dead weak he was enraged.

It's such a good setup for potential yandere nonsense. I hope it grows into something monstrous and weird.

Even if it doesn't we have this guy. Ananse doesn't recognize him, but he is her servant. One of her closer servants. He idolizes her and he loves her cruelty. She has to hit him regularly, or he will notice that she's not the same cruel master she once was.

That would be very bad, because this worshipful dog is one of her main protectors.

Ananse has to figure out how to trick her servants.

They WILL kill her if her memory loss leaks out.

Ananse must be powerful and cruel, or she will die.

A new premium slave arrives.

A country has lost in war.

The Regba have selected the finest slaves, after sorting through the survivors.

This one is a former prince.

Ananse must break him and prepare him for her Emperor, or SHE will have to entertain the madman instead.

It's implied that Ananse did not want to lead the Regba. She was just born into the role. Her father has already been killed for displeasing the Emperor.

She will be next, if she doesn't learn how to tame the ice prince fast.

This is the Emperor.

The one guy who is objectively worse than our slave-driving heroine.

I'm scared (blush).

Naise.

It's a nickname.

Solteo used to call her that.

They were very close.

His bedchamber is next to hers.

She lets him return there, despite the murder attempt. Her servants applaud her toughness, and they expect her to punish him for daring to hurt her personally.

Ananse needs his help.

Their negotiation goes in Solteo's favor.

Solteo, despite being a slave who made an attempt on her life, decides to take advantage of her amnesia to have some kind of relationship with her.

Nobody is in the right here.

Ananse is undeniably an awful person. Her subordinates stab and sometimes kill slaves that dare to complain. Solteo is clinging to Ananse for unknown reasons. He says he will train her. He will teach her how to dominate her slaves and people, if she lets him stay by her side.

That's messed up.

(Also Ananse promises him his freedom, but he doesn’t seem to actually want it. He could have just killed her. She's currently clueless and frightened. Her amnesia has turned her into a fragile woman, but he doesn't kill her. He also sniffs and hugs the blanket she uses.)

I’ve seen a few of your post (at least I think it was your’s) about LOK. So I was wondering. In regard to the main villains, who is your least favorite/most disliked?

And what would you change about their motivations and perhaps their “villainous” means to make them a more compelling and/or sympathetic character?

lol this is a pretty big ask. i mean basically every villain in lok is completely incoherent thematically, politically, ideologically. people will call amon a communist but he doesn’t actually give a shit about economics or class in any capacity. people call unalaq a theocrat but as far as im aware he isn’t exploiting people’s spiritual faith to gain power, (maybe that’s what he was doing at first, but) he literally wants to submerge the world into “darkness” for one million years for… reasons and purposes. unalaq/vaatu is by far the worst lok villain, but that’s not even saying much because it’s so patently ridiculous and cartoonish. the red lotus are actually compelling but they also love chaos for the sake of chaos (because anarchism!) and want to violently murder a teenage girl and hold a genocided people hostage to do so (despite zaheer’s supposed respect for air nomads). and kuvira is an ethnonationalist who declares herself emperor, so i guess she’s at least a somewhat coherent portrait of a real type of person who actually exists, but the fact that the fascist despot is the ONLY character who points out that republic city was built on colonized earth kingdom land is um….. not a great look?

and then side characters like tarrlok, hiroshi, varrick, queen hou-ting, suyin(???), wu(???) who aren’t really the primary villains even though in many ways they’re more ideologically coherent, are just also kind of weird for their ambiguous framing. like hou-ting is literally kidnapping airbenders and putting them in underground labor camps where they’re tortured and ruthlessly trained into forming an army, which is something that chaisee does in the yangchen novels and is regarded as utterly reprehensible and heinous for it (because it is), whereas we’re supposed to feel bad for hou-ting when she dies because murder is bad uwu. and we’re supposed to forgive hiroshi for [checks notes] attempted filicide. and varrick is just some fun wacky little guy who is a ruthlessly amoral capitalist but also he does the charleston! and isn’t him marrying his overworked, exploited assistant cute?? and not at all grossly misogynistic and horrifying???? LOL!

so i don’t think going through every villain and antagonist individually and imbuing them with depth is really a worthy use of time, since the show largely suffers from incoherence due to the fact that it isn’t cohesive at all. besides korra’s character development (which is excellent), there’s no real central idea that ties every season together. take atla instead: it’s a very linear narrative, with an established goal that is always being worked towards and once it’s ultimately completed, the show ends. lok has no idea what that central goal is. so instead of trying to fix every character, it’s better to work from the center out and first simply define that goal. the central political tension in lok is, fundamentally, a question of whether it is better to alter the status quo in various radical ways, or whether it is better to maintain the violently upheld hegemonic norm by virtue of it being the status quo (and spoiler alert, it’s the latter!). and these radical ways, whether it be the terrorist movement of a fraudulent right wing populist dictator, or the terrorist movement of a bunch of commies, is always presented as equally dangerous and in need of korra’s gaggle of cops, liberals, and capitalists to suppress. what a great show.

however, the lok that lives in my head does away with most of that, and simply focalizes the conflict between the white lotus and the red lotus as diametrically opposing forces both vying to control korra’s position in the world as avatar and reconstitute her legacy on their terms. because korra’s arc is fundamentally about learning to define her selfhood and her role in the world on her own terms, and the one commonality between every villain is that they’re trying to suppress or control her identity in some way. because it’s also, incidentally, a show primarily concerned with the value of identity politics, and doesn’t actually give a shit about any of the class struggles that underpin the show’s worldbuilding and inform so many of its primary characters. so while i’m not opposed to korra’s struggle of identity, and in fact appreciate it a lot and find it personally affirming in multiple ways, korra deserves a show that is actually worthy of her brilliance as a character.

it’s not that korra shouldn’t struggle to establish her identity on her own terms, but that the politics through which they attempt to communicate this struggle are incoherent. so i would simply reframe the conflict as one primarily between the white lotus, who are reformist liberals at best, and neoconservative reactionaries at worst. we see the best of the white lotus in atla (arguably), and the worst of the white lotus in the yangchen novels (which are fascinating and excellent and everyone should read them). xai bau is only ever mentioned in a single exposition dump (in one of the only truly great episodes of lok, i might add), but his philosophy and role in the narrative is nonetheless fascinating to me. the idea that the white lotus becomes more public facing after the war, leading to its detractors also growing more vocal, is genuinely interesting. the conflicts established between the white and red lotuses are genuinely compelling (to a point). but they never truly address how the white lotus kept korra locked away in a compound for the first 17 years of her life, they never meaningfully address the harm the white lotus has done to her and to the world.

like, of course korra couldn’t master airbending, the element of freedom, if she’s never been truly free. korra spent her entire life in a gilded cage, her role in the world and legacy defined for her by liberals who wanted her to be some kind of supercop instead of a genuine spiritual leader. it’s not korra’s fault that spirituality and harmony and meditation are difficult for her, she was literally denied those facets of herself for her entire adolescence. the white lotus constitute a microcosm of the ruthless neoliberal society korra encounters when first arriving in republic city. the white lotus are a metonym for the liberal identity politics centrist reformist vision of the world that lok uncritically presents as the ideal. in a better show, korra would question those systems, disavow them, and even perhaps attempt to dismantle them. korra would define her freedom of self on her own terms by realizing the ways in which the white lotus and their broader ideology has harmed her.

that said, the red lotus is also flawed. and i don’t just mean because they’re chaos-hungry terrorists who love to murder with impunity, but because they’re in the business of denying korra’s agency as a human being and not simply as the avatar. they want korra dead because they don’t believe in the role she embodies. and you know, they can want that for understandable political reasons without being completely evil about it, but obviously in a show as facile and shallow as lok, no they can’t. i think that korra’s brief pause in considering zaheer’s point of view should have lasted longer. i think that korra should have become disillusioned by the white lotus and the stipulations of capitalism (as early as book 1, frankly), and she should have genuinely considered joining them. and once she does eventually disavow them too, it’s not because of their evil commie politics, but because they’re also in the business of dictating her role in the world, and korra can’t stand to be boxed in by anyone, certainly not from people who claim to be in the business of dissolving borders.

so pretty much every villain in lok would fall under either the umbrella of white lotus operatives (whether direct or indirect) or red lotus (whether direct or indirect). people who want korra to be the world’s ultimate cop who upholds the systems that benefit them, or people who think that the avatar has no place in a truly just world, for (honestly) kind of valid reasons. the red lotus would be antagonists who work against korra’s arc of establishing her own freedom and agency, but the white lotus would be the “villains.” and the capitalist juggernauts who mistreat and exploit their workers (and their assistants and their daughters etc etc) would not be let off the hook so easily either. the neocolonial tensions in republic city wouldn’t be framed as an issue of the distant past. the issues of class and colonialism would be foregrounded alongside korra’s struggle to establish her identity. and then, perhaps, the narrative would finally cohere.

i call it "the polycule only a blood player could love" and although it manages to be perfectly healthy, from the outside, everyone looks like they're cheating on everyone else. nepeta is staring at it going ":33 < dodged a fucking bullet!!!"

Eridan ♦️ Karkat

the ship with the most canon backing. this ship needs to be true before all other ships can be true because it keeps the two of them normal enough to have a shot at romancing anybody else. nobody realized they were pale for each other for an embarrasingly long time because their regular day to day conversations feature slurs and death threats. sometimes looks pitch or flushed from the outside because karkat is a mess who can't stop yelling at people he's trying to romance in the red quads, and because eridan gets really needy sometimes.

Eridan ♥️ Roxy

They get together within five minutes of knowing each other and, despite Rose's protests, never ever break up. Eridan is into cute, pink, bubbly, nice girls, and Roxy is into eccentric troubled princes. Not to mention she fucking loves wizards, and Eridan is a wizard, and that they're both hipsters who use rifles. Also Eridan is weird as hell and Roxy thinks he's hilarious for it. Despite the fact that he puts on this unpleasant, nasty act, he'll pretty much do anything Roxy tells him to, and she likes that. She thinks he has himbo energy. Everyone else thinks she's deranged. Like girl that guy is an insane murderer. Girl he will not stop saying slurs

also their specific abilities are diametrically opposed in an interesting way? prince of hope = can destroy anything he believes he can destroy, rogue of void = can create anything by stealing away its nonexistence. neat!

Roxy ♦️ Calliope

since they aren't trolls and don't need to calm each other down, it's not really a proper moirallegiance, but they're bffffffs and the kinds of silly fun-loving gals who would call their friendship a moirallegiance even if it doesn't have the biological components or serve the social function of one. Two girls that just love each other.

Eridan ♠️ Calliope

biologically, cherubs only engage in pitch romances and are attracted to other cherubs that remind them of the other half they lost in predomination. what i'm saying is that calliope - unfortunately for her - has brother issues. initially put off by eridan's superficial similarities to caliborn - his bluster, his riflekind, his insane logic and thick skull, and how damn often he talks about murder - as they get to know each other, the feeling becomes mutual. eridan is generally totally ok with outright hostility, but calliope's faux-nice smugness when taunting an opponent would drive him nuts, as would the earnestness with which she approaches magic (what kind of POSER needs to RELOAD their WAND), and in general, i think he'd take her genuine well-wishes toward other people as a personal affront, a la "i didn't ever need anybody to look after me!"

they somehow have a 50/50 win ratio at the board games they play, which drives calliope nuts. "believing in your pieces" is not a valid chess strategy!!!!!!!!!

also i think it's fun and thematic, the angel killer and the cherub, whose adult form features hope-shaped wings.

Karkat ♥️ Calliope

We know two things from his crush on terezi: the first is that karkat is into clever, cunning gals, and the second is that he's really fucking messy, the kind of guy who would tell his flushed crush to "set the table on his bone bulge for their candle light hate date." Fortunately, or unfortunately??? for calliope, the fact that he will scream obscenities at her is kind of what she's into. everybody, please, a moment of silence for calliope, who somehow manages to have worse taste in men than roxy.

but yeah more seriously, karkat has a big and loving heart, and so does calliope, while calliope maintains a cleverness and intellect that karkat would be into.

normally, it would be a huge problem for your moirail to be pitch for your matesprit, and we have that both ways here. however, a few factors are mitigating that here. first, eridan will always prioritize karkat or roxy over calliope when they're around. this actually does kind of piss her off, although she feels annoyed that it does. second, calliope is generally mature enough to compartmentalize. third, karkat WILL auspicetize if they aren't careful, and nobody wants that. and fourth, everybody wants to keep roxy happy.

but yeah everyone else watching it is like. are you guys okay? blink if you need help

ofc ship what you want to ship this is not at all me telling you what you should be into. im just saying that these ships have been calculated for Maximum Funnyness, which as we know, is the only objective measure for what makes a good homestuck ship

He killed without even looking at who was lying next to him in a pool of blood.

He was already a mass murderer, and all sorcerers knew that if they saw him, they were to catch him. Even though if they tried, they would die...

He had no joy in life.

He didn't need toys to play with.

Monkeys are boring. People are ugly. Their lives are terrible and selfish.

That's why he hated them.

Well, he had a family that supported him.

However, there was no one in this family who was love for him.

And now he had no way of finding a female sorcerer who would fall in love with him.

He could take her. But there was one problem. There was none he was interested in... There was no one who had cute features and also the will to fight. Who would even accept him. Sorcerers are different, crazier. That's why he had no way to find a normal girl he liked.

He would have a chance to get such a girl among normal people.

But it would also be difficult to find a person who will show humility and that someone is weaker in some moments.

Such people exist.

However, the search would take an eternity. And also this search may not be fruitful at all.

Because things that can be good often happen by accident.

When he was 23, he still continued to walk around the cities. Despite his disgust with this noisy place. He went into stores, looked at things, and always kept to the free space. He exuded an ominous aura, which indicated to people not to approach him.

It worked.

Until one day he felt something land on his back.

He sighed as he stopped.

"Monkeys..."

Slowly, he turned around and stared at the shorter figure who quickly moved away from his back.

His pupils dilated a bit as he saw a small blush of embarrassment on the face of the girl who was standing there nervously, and she started apologizing to him.

"I'm really sorry... Someone pushed me and I... I didn't mean to bump into you... It's... I'm sorry.” You said nervously, still being nice.

You bent down to grab the small bag you were carrying.

You showed that you were sorry, tilting your head slightly to let him know you were sorry. You were nice.

But he had something else to test.

He put one hand in his pocket, unhooking the shiny dark ball Mimiko and Nanako had given him for his keys, and quietly tossed it onto the pavement.

If you really are what his gut tells him, he somehow needs to know who you are and where you're going.

Before the ball fell out of his pants, he quickly imbued it with his cursed energy as much as he could at the moment.

He walked away, giving you a small smile, saying that nothing happened and it's fine.

And that was his first nice encounter with a normal human being.

In a moment he felt a light tugging on the sleeve of his sweatshirt.

He knew it was you. You exuded such a pleasant and kind energy. He could immediately sense that you had nothing to do with the cursed energy.

"I'm sorry sir, you must have missed it." You said as he looked at you.

In your open hand lay a shiny ball with the clasp of the keychain unfastened.

He took it from you, and suddenly put it in your hand again.

"You can keep it." He said giving you a smile.

"But-."

"You will pay me back next time." He grunted and started walking away.

It's possible that when he comes home, the girls will kill him because he "lost" a gift from them. But if he explained the situation to them, they would surely understand.

You always kept that ball with you. Hoping you'll see this man and give it back to him.

You didn't know that you were being watched by this little object.

It bothered him a bit that you weren't a sorcerer, but his gut told him that you were someone for him.

You're the only normal person who doesn't disgust him. Because you don't think you're more important than him.

But he could have made you more important than all the other non-sorcerers in the world.

You're not a sorcerer because you can't see the little curses he's unleashed in your house to keep track of whether you're where you're going, and know everything about you that was possible for him to know.

To meet the same man two years later. Whose hand closed around your neck as you walked quietly in your house.

He stopped you with his hand, and stepped out of the black hole that appeared behind you.

He stopped in front of you, covering your mouth gently with his other hand.

"I've come for my property." He gave you a smile that seemed dark but combined with a kind one.

Something grabbed your back and started pulling you into blackness.

Tears welled up in your eyes as you looked at the man's smile.

While your hand itself remained uncovered in black, you felt his lips place a small kiss on the back of your hand.

"My property. My little Monkey. My sweetheart~."

You woke up feeling completely different.

When you opened your eyes, the first thing you saw was clothes with a golden cover on a man.

Your head rested on his thigh as he sat with one leg stretched out and the other bent at the knee. Leaning the book he was reading on his upraised leg.

"You're awake." He said without taking his eyes off the text.

What moved on your head in a nice way was his hand gently stroking your hair.

You felt a bit like a pet to be petted.

Or maybe he thought you were something like that?

He came for his property... Then why did he kidnap you?

Why are you now lying on his thigh and he is stroking you?

You looked at your body.

You were wearing a white kimono.

Someone changed you?

"I see you moving your head. Is it the clothes?" He said, now looking at you seriously. You nodded, unable to speak from your nervousness.

You were awake and scared, but at the same time you felt so calm and sleepy as he stroked you.

But that's not right. You don't even know him! He kidnapped you!

You must call the police!

You felt pressure on the back of your neck and his fingers digging into a spot near your spine. Even a nice shiver ran through your body, and instead of tensing up, your body fell softly.

"Your eyes got a little dizzy. You panic because you don't know where you are or who I am. Although I sincerely believe that you remember me." His fingers massaged your neck.

He put the book down and straightened the other leg before pulling you onto his legs and with you on top of him he sat cross-legged, placing you between his knees. With your back against his leg on one side and your legs against his other leg.

His arm started to hold you, resting your head on his chest.

"You're taking it better than I expected."

"What did you give me...?" You asked quietly, feeling slightly tired.

"Absolutely nothing. I promise." He smiled and raised his eyebrows sadly. "It's just that I know human anatomy well, and you were knocked unconscious by one blow to the neck. Perhaps your whole body hasn't woken up yet. And it's possible I accidentally woke you up. Sorry."

"Who are you..."

"I know you met me. My name is Geto Suguru. And I have some options for you. You are my pet and you call me Geto-sama, Suguru-sama, or Master. You are my love, and you call me baby, honey, sweetheart, at first it may just be Suguru. Or there is another option. You refuse me and die as the monkey without the cursed energy."

You widened your eyes at his smile.

And as he started to get closer to you, you pushed him hard, and clumsily jumped out of his grip.

You fell off the step he was sitting on, and, ignoring the pain, you were moving away from him, staring in horror at the dark man.

Are you going to be his pet, love, or die?

You have to run away from him...

You don't want to have to choose...

If maybe you had a chance to know him longer... Maybe living with him would be nice, but you don't know anything about him!

You got up and started running, turning into the first nearest corridor in his house, in this temple...

"Oh." He grunted as he looked at you. Suddenly he smiled. "I like a little bit of aggressiveness. If you get tired of running, why don't we talk?! You won't make it out of here!" he shouted for you to hear.

You were running blindly, you didn't even know where.

You just ran ahead.

You turned around to see if someone was chasing you. There was no one behind you.

Was it a trap?

You turned another corner, suddenly running into something large.

Before you could pull away, two strong hands grabbed you and pulled you into a hug.

"Don't do that again." He said holding your head against his chest. "You can't escape from here, and if you keep running like this, something might happen to you."

You heard some concern in his voice.

And he hugged you too. And it wasn't done to upset you. He was hugging you to keep you next to him.

But somehow you managed to escape from him.

He sighed with the same smile.

"I can see that cute little monkeys need some running to calm down, huh... I'm starting to like it more and more."

He slowly started to follow you where he ran.

You came to a corridor that ended in a door.

You pulled the handle to open the wooden door, but you couldn't. It was closed.

"This is the entrance to my room. You're tired? I can let you in to rest and sleep. I can also offer you food and a warm bath if you wish. Because here you will stay." He continued to smile. "You look so pretty in that kimono. I chose it especially for you. A white kimono for a nice, innocent girl. I wouldn't want anything to happen to you here. Because you are already my love. And I can tell you without hesitation that I reject option three."

You leaned against the door as he approached.

But as he stood in front of you, he extended his hand towards you, and waited for you to place your hand.

And he waited until you finally realized there was no point in running away if he was going to catch you anyway.

You placed your hand on his hand.

He immediately connected your fingers with his and moved closer.

Kissing your forehead tenderly, he leaned down to hug you.

And he spoke in your ear:

"You will be my pet whom I will love. You will be my beloved person. And I will always love you."

May I request something with idv? Can I request a headcanon about a baker female survivor, who loves to bake for both the survivors and even the hunters. She even goes to the hunters side to give them their favourite pastries. She’s not a talker but she likes to show how she’s feeling through actions. She’s very motherly to both the survivors and hunters and even during matches she leaves muffins behind her whenever the hunter is chasing her (a sneaky way of distracting the hunter while the others decode and she gets away) also her pastries serve as an energy boost and healing to the survivors during matches.

Story type: Fluff, Au, can be considered platonic or romantic depending on the characters being interacted with.

Pairings/Characters: Various

The manor getting new survivors is nothing new, so when another red wax sealed letter was sent out people on both sides were expecting either a new ally, or simply another prey. Once you arrived some rushed to greet you, some stayed to the side and watched, some never interacted with at all, some were weary, there were a lot of different reactions due to the many different personalities of the residents of the manor.

Whenever the first few matches started, it took awhile for some survivors to get use to you handing out treats. Confused as to why you baked treats for a murder game only to come to realize that firstly, they tasted good, and the benefits they gave. It took some survivors like Naib, Aesop, Kreacher, and some others a longer time to actually take the treats though given their personalities and various other issues. Eventually though, they'll all get use to your helping and kind presence in matches.

When this kindness started extending to the hunters, many of them were suspicious. However some of them like robbie accepted the treats with glee, which gradually had some of the hunters start warming up to you. Even if your treats can be a bit annoying if you give them to another survivor mid kite or how distracting they can get when left on the ground while they're chasing you, it's hard to deny that you're handing them out of the kindness of your heart and generally just want the best for others.

Overtime, the younger end of survivors and hunters especially the ones who are children, teenagers, or just barely young adults often stay by your side. Finding your presence very comfy and welcoming among all the different people in the manor. Not only can you make some hella good treats, you're also a very comforting and caring person that they can go to for comfort.

Time will continue to go on in these endless games, but your kindness and sweet treats will remain a staple bright light amidst all the chaos and fighting.

‘When’s the White Haired Anime Boy Going to Appear?’

For awhile, I often wondered about the phenomena of ‘When is the white-haired anime boy going to appear?’ posts during the heyday of Eva content on tumblr (2013-14). If you were around the Eva fandom on tumblr, or new to the show around that time like I was, you were probably bewildered too. It’s part of what got me into the show other than the character struggles and interesting worldbuilding.

Sure, you could chalk it up to people wanting to see more of Kaworu’s cute, but awkward mannerisms coupled with cryptic, though nonthreatening words. The bath scene of episode 24 is heavily quotable. There was also the influx of ‘headless’ memes (see: Pop Goes My Heart!).

But Eva was watched during many people’s adolescent years. High and low years. Critical years.

Evangelion itself is no stranger to struggles in formative years.

I’ve always read Shinji as an audience surrogate because of how he’s at the center of these issues. Many of us have a Gendo: We hate them, yet we seek their validation, because unfortunately, they’re all we have. And yet they’re so emotionally cold and self-serving.

Much of the series sees Shinji in less than optimal environments. His father is cold and distant. While Misato takes him in, she also makes him (and Asuka) fight angels due to her issues with her own father. Shinji and Asuka’s relationship within the household isn’t the greatest, either. They’re both emotionally damaged kids who can’t really properly sort through the baggage due to their environment. They’re mainly shouldering the burden of adult issues during their early teen years.

They’re face to face with the open horrors of war.

Kaworu comes in toward the tail end of the series. He asks nothing of Shinji but the narrative hardly portrays him as the sudden, immaculate savior. They get to know each other, and due to his deep traumas, Shinji is of course wary because being open means getting hurt again. So he puts his guard up. The more they interact, the more they both get to know each other.

‘Why am I telling all this to Kaworu?’

This is less of a wariness of who Kaworu is and more of Shinji realizing he spilled part of his heart about his strained relationship with his father. Shinji realizes that he feels open, but not vulnerable. Kaworu feels the same way, replying to Shinji’s answers with ‘I think I may have been born to meet you, Shinji-kun.’

I sound like a broken record saying this but, Kaworu isn’t just his own person. He represents an ideal. This is a point I’m totally partisan to. That tinges of kindness can and do exist, even when one’s world is hell.

On that end, I believe that, at least in the original series, that Hikari is Asuka’s Kaworu. Asuka’s guarded persona manifests as being proud and somewhat brash, but it’s a product of neglect. This worsens when she comes to understand in her environment that her accomplishments mean next to nothing. That she’s replaceable.

The adults in Eva, even the adults of the adults get away with murder and seeing that as a victim of abuse drives a visceral rage I haven’t felt in years. And I’m sure this ire, this rising embitterment stirs in you too, if you ever lived in such an environment.

A lot of us were forced to wade through toxic environments for years while growing up. Had our share of bad relationships that still leave marks to this day. A lot of us are victims chasing the closure that will sadly, never come because many of the people who hurt you walk away when they have much to answer for. Even if they do answer, is there any guarantee that they’ll be genuine?

When Shinji is with Kaworu and when Asuka is around Hikari they’re far less guarded. For the latter, we see a side of Asuka not seen before: one that’s tender. One that doesn’t feel burdened and otherwise ignored.

And that too, could describe that someone in our lives. The world doesn’t feel as daunting. You realize your worth and that you can be yourself when you’re around them. The barriers come down slowly and you stop saying sorry. You don’t feel as if they’re demanding that that happens. It simply just. Does. The people you hate or ignore your grievances seem insignificant in your life, even if for a moment.

When we ask ‘When’s the white haired anime boy going to appear?’ what we actually mean is ‘When is our support system going to appear?’

I know that one day you will find your Kaworu. You deserve better than an apology. You deserve peace.

Ghost as a dad was so cute! I need to know more about him and his daughter backstory, ASAP. How they live toghether, does Ghost has a wife or was it one night stand and the girl turned up nine months after and dropped the baby to his hands (personally I think of the latter) and they are little family ahhhhhh

And reaction of the rest people in 141, will they find out? Will Ghost tell them? Or will they one day just go to the common room, swearing like "who of you mf watches kids stuff" and they see this little girl sitting next to Soap who looks like is about to murder them

I imagine that Beth isn't Ghost's biological child, but actually his brother Tommy's! I think that Tommy and Beth Riley actually had twins, so it wasn't just baby Joseph, but baby Beth, too. (I like to think that Joseph was named after Ghost as it's his middle name and Beth was named after her mother.)

In this parent AU I think that the rest of the Riley family still died like in the comics, but baby Beth didn't as she had a hospital appointment that day :(

The poor baby had to go live with her grandparents - (Beth's parents) - and Ghost met her after a few years. He has his own little flat in Manchester, along with other properties dotted around England, so Beth sometimes comes to stay with him but she lives with her grandma and grandpa for the most part.

I think Beth would know that Ghost is a soldier, as her grandparents told her, but I doubt she knows the extent of what he does as she's only a little girl.

Ghost definitely tried to avoid wearing the mask around her but one time Beth found his mask in one of the cupboards and she put it on and she just looked so sweet and adorable that it changed the way Ghost saw his mask entirely.

Sometimes he puts it on for her when it's Halloween and she and her friends love it. She just thinks her dad is so cool and awesome and the best kind of scary. She knows that he's technically not her real dad, but to her he is. He's genuinely her hero :(

And yes, I totally think that one of the 141 boys, probably Price, would barge into the common room exclaiming, "Who's been watching Bluey on my goddamn Netflix account?!"

And Gaz would pipe up, embarrassedly admitting it was him when actually Soap has been secretly using Price's Netflix account to let Beth watch Bluey knowing Gaz also watches that same show.

Ghost would just shake his head disapprovingly at Soap's shenanigans, but he'd be smiling so wide under his mask, so grateful that Soap cares so much for his girl.

Ghost would be a bit hesitant to introduce Beth to the 141, but after he saw how easy Soap got along with her, he introduced them right away. Beth loved Gaz and Price as much as she did Soap. She'd constantly be begging for piggyback rides, exclaiming, "Daddy, look! I'm as tall as you!"

(One time when she was sitting on Soap's shoulders, she used his mohawk as a handlebar and tugged on it to get him moving to where she wanted to go. She'd even put on a little chef's hat, pretending she was Remy guiding Chef Soap on what to do.)

Ghost almost passed out from how hard he was laughing, and Price and Gaz were on the floor in shambles from how funny they found it.

hmmm i was thinking about ships in reborn au au (i am....... so sorry)

kakashi/obito is one of those ships were i just.... assume it's going to happen if they're allowed to interact a sufficient amount in a fic. the reincarnation for just one person aspect makes me feel kind of weird about it, BUT i think every obito ship is fucked up nature and also we can limit any shippy interactions to them be certified adults. so idk just skip this one if you're squicked lmao

anyway, then i was like "well i can't just do NOTHING with rin" and the natural conclusion is: fucked up confusing polycule mess

rin still has an unrequited crush on kakashi from ages like 12-15. she has also just assumed throughout her teenaged years that obito likes her, bc that explains uuuuh a lot o his behavior towards her. BUT he has never made a move on her or admitted it; this is just her assumption. bc he never acts on it they have a pretty normal friendship (obito's ACTUAL feels are significantly weirder and more complicated: he no longer has a crush on her, but he REMEMBERS having one on her when he was actually 12 and how good being innocent and in love made him feel, so he wants to spend time with her and make sure she's safe and happy. also if you're mean to her he will set you on fire)

anyway!! konoha recruits tori+deidara when team minato is ~22. obito immediately takes on what rin interprets as a big brother role to them, which she thinks is..... cute? admirable? a secret soft side to obito??

rin has dated around a little bit and obito has always gotten weird about it (he hasn't ever STOPPED HER from doing what she wants, but she's aware that kakashi has had to advise him against giving some.... weird shovel talks) so she assumes he still likes her. and now she's seeing him interact with cute genin in a positive way, and she like hmmmm oh no maybe i DO like obito

so from obito's POV he doing something completely platonic with rin one day-- like idk, something you'd do with a friend but COULD be romantic, like going to watch fireworks or something, and she tries to kiss him. naturally he runs away and ends up face down on tori's floor sobbing because rin is the ONE PERSON he's actively trying to do right by

Hoshi was not your average guy. His charm was undeniable, his smile was infectious, and his seemingly innocent nature made him an innocent favourite among his peers.However behind that bubble exterior, was a secret, deadly life.

Y/n was an enigma to Hoshi.She was kind-hearted, funny, and oblivious to his double life. Or so he thought unbeknownst to him, y/n was hiding secrets of her own.

Their daily life was a strange dance of normality and secrecy. Hoshi would leave late at night, his eyes losing their warm twinkle and replaced with a cold, steely resolve.He would return before dawn,the softness back in his eyes ,and y/n would be none the wiser. it was a pattern, a routine he had perfected over time. But what y/n did not know was that Hoshi was just not stepping out for a late-night job, he was carrying out missions as an assassin, a cold-blooded killer.

He meticulously planned each mission with his team, leaving no room for error.His targets never saw him coming and he left no trace behind. But behind his murderous deeds, Hoshi held a secret, he was in love with y/n. He loved her laughter, her kindness and the way her eyes sparked as she spoke about her dreams, He loved her but he knew he could never tell her the truth.

Just like Hoshi, y/n was also an assassin and her next target was none other than Hoshi himself.The irony of the situation was not lost on her.Overtime, y/n found her self growing attached to Hoshi. The lines between her professional life and personal feelings started to blur.Hoshi, too was struggling with his feelings for her, he was an assassin, he wasn’t supposed to feel love or affection. But y/n was different. Their lives were always hit and miss, there were times where they almost discovered each others secrets, but somehow they always managed to maintain their facades.

Until one day , y/n received the confirmation of her mission.The time has come, despite her professionalism, y/n found herself hesitating. She questioned whether she could really go through with it, she had fallen for her target.

On the other hand, hoshi was unaware of the storm brewing. He continued his life as usual, all the while hiding his feelings for y/n. The day of the mission came, Y/n was ready to carry out her task but as she looked at Hoshi her resolve started to waver. In the end she couldn’t do it, she couldn’t kill the man who she loved.”hosh I want to tell you something,”she spoke calmly “go on y/n,” he answered her while chopping up some vegetables for dinner. “I like you..wait no i love you soonyoung.”y/n’s confidence wavered, she looked down.Hoshi on the other hand was stunned, smirking he walked up to her and tilted her head to him“what makes you think I don’t like you back baby?” He whispered inching closer to her face.”wait I have something to confess,” he looked at her, softening his gaze.” I’m an assassin,” Hoshi laughed at her face and hugged her “baby don’t worry me too!” He giggled, confusion arose on her face.”Y/n you know I knew you had the mission to kill me?” Hoshi said to her, Y/n tightened her hold on hoshi “how?” She whined, “you’re not so slick with it my love” he singsonged.

At the dinner table, they ate their dinner reminiscing their assassin life, “well what now?” Y/n asked “well” hoshi replied. All of a sudden hoshi picked y/n up and carried her, she yelped out of fear “HOSHI PUT ME DOWN RIGHT NOW!” She smacked his back knowing that wouldn’t stop him, hoshi softly throws y/n on the bed “I’ll eat you” he looked at her with his gaze darkening.

For Root and Shaw:

Canon queers. They start out as enemies (Root even threatens Shaw with a hot iron during their meet cute), they even both kidnap each other at some points, but they end up ready to sacrifice everything for the other. Shaw is a self diagnosed sociopath, who is only on the side of ""good"" because she's bored and they've got a cute dog. She has no qualms about killing or even torturing people. Root is kind of unhinged, torturing and killing people in order to find and then protect a Machine that she thinks is a god. Eventually the Machine teaches her the value of friendship and life (kinda), but she's still a psycho at heart. They work so well together, even if they're like a four alarm fire.

For Lord Hater and Commander Peepers :

Lord Hater is the self-proclaimed "universe's awesomest evil-doer", an immature, attention-seeking manchild with electric powers and a short temper. He rules the Hater Empire with Commander Peepers as his second-in-command (technically third, after his beloved pet spider-xenomorph, but who's counting), however it soon becomes *very* clear that the cunning, remorseless, hardworking Peepers is the *real* brains behind the empire. Peepers might be frustrated at Hater's incompetence at times and isn't above manipulating him to reach an end goal, but he'd never dream of usurping him because, well, he's really gay and in love with him (as much as he can be in an early-10s Disney cartoon, anyways). Hater might take Peepers for granted a lot of times, but as his oldest friend and closest confidante he's the one who Hater is closest to. Whether it's invading other planets or kicking puppies for fun, these two are *delightfully* terrible jerks and the epitome of gay wrongs.

Commander Peepers is both Lord Hater's right hand man in villainy AND his jilted stay-at-home-wife-guy (Also in villainy. Hater is really good at getting distracted from productive and efficient villaining.) Lord Hater was the greatest villain in the galaxy thanks to how well he and Commander Peepers worked as an evil team to run the Hater Empire!

Lord Hater conquers planets and is such an edgy bastard. Peepers is the actual brains behind the operation. Peepers is often pushed aside by Hater, they are besties and yet Peepers is always pining for this guy who will never notice. Peepers is so horribly gay for him if you watch the show he wants his stupid boss so bad. Peepers is so scared of him season 1 but then starts yelling BACK in season 2 and has to deal with him like a babysitter or something and yet STILL idolizes him and that’s just such a fun dynamic. His password is H8RNP33PRS43VR (Hater and Peepers forever). They are so evil and everyone fears them and they are villains and they are gay and the side of the fandom that draws them as a married couple that needs counseling is absolutely correct. The fanart of Hater openly liking him back is wonderful but I swear you don’t even need that. They are so gay and villain you have to love them they are

Ten Under-Recognized Jirai Kei Characters!

Ive been meaning to make a post on some jirai kei characters that i think are underappreciated by the overseas landmine community! Mostly i think its bc they don't wear girly kei, cybercore, or other fashions associated with us on SNS, and bc their media came out before 2020. So ive compiled a list and an explanation for why i think they're jirai! I have another list for pien kei characters who arent jirai in my opinion too. If u have any characters u think the western jirai comm sleeps on, comment/reblog and tell me who & why!

1. Celestia Ludenberg

Celestia (Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc) has screamed landmine to me for like, ever! She's wrapped up in her appearance and at first glance makes the effort to come off as regal and formal. But she frequently lets that disguise slip and shows her sadistic side at the slightest inconvenience, threatening violence and screaming in peoples faces. She's got both a superiority complex AND inferiority complex, and has an unhealthy obsession with gambling, her super high school level talent.

2. Nijimin Anazawa

Nijimin (Mahou Shoujo Site) is super popular in the japanese jirai comm, and its easy to see why. She's easily lovestruck and a borderline yandere (dependent type), murderous and hellbent on revenge, and her magical power literally revolves around manipulating others. She's a beloved idol and a symbol of cuteness, but she's a murderous magical girl? How much more jirai can you get!

3. Mayoi Ayase

Mayoi (Ensemble Stars) is a very interesting character! From his obsession with the occult to his self depreciating behavior to his obsessive and stalkerish tendencies, he's an overall offputting yet charming guy. As an idol, he has fans who have a totally different image of him than the creep (affectionate) he can be at times behind the scenes. Also, not to stereotype, but his favorite sanrio character is kuromi, whos super popular within jirai.

4. Yuri

Yuri (Dokidoki Literature Club) being a landmine seems a little self-explanatory to me. She's a yandere character who's probably the most unassuming of the cast at first. She's shy, smart, kind... and a self-harming yandere with a knife fetish who will literally kill herself if you get involved romantically or reject her.

5. Yoosung

Wow, when's the last time I thought about Mystic Messanger? No idea, but Yoosung feels pretty jirai kei to me in retrospect. In the beginning of the game, hes the adorkable self-conscious junior with an unhealthy online addiction. But, by the end, he's a self-harming yandere who refuses to let the player character go, and is willing to do whatever it takes to secure a happily ever after.

6. Kusokawa-chan

While I have an immeasurable hatred for her creator, Kusokawa-chan (Menhera-chan spin-off 4komas) is a comfort character of mine... for some reason. With a name that means "kawaii trash", her personality is probably predictable. She's human trash, a sadistic asshole with no respect for others who will insult and berate you at the drop of a hat, and turn on a dime on her fans. She tries to cover it up by putting on an exaggerated innocent act and kawaii-fying herself and her life, but she just cant stop herself from exploding on others with no remorse.

7. Azusa Mukami

Admittedly, everything I know about Diabolik Lovers is through its fandom as I've yet to cave and buy the games. But from what little I know, Azusa seems pretty jirai. He seems innocent, fragile even- but has the typical amount of yandere tendencies for the series. He has a self harm addiction, and if you peruse his route you're in for a toxic time.

8. Satou Matsuzaka

This might be cheating because she's so popular on yandere tumblr, but Satou Matsuzaka (Happy Sugar Life) is ultra jirai kei. It's no wonder she's such a popular choice of pfp on japanese jiraitwt! She's obsessed with living out a fantasy saccarine-sweet life with the object of her desire, and given her full-blown yandere nature and her lolicon status, its no doubt shes a toxic partner. She's beloved at her school and workplace for her seemingly sweet nature and cute looks, but her kindness is only for the purposes of manipulation.

9. Kosame Amagai

Again, I'm no expert on Diabolik Lovers! But based on what my friends on yandereblr tell me, this guy is definately a jirai danshi. He's a lover of all things cute, who uses his cute shota-like appearance and polite manner of speech to lure others in. In reality, hes an abusive partner in his route, and takes his anger out on others verbally. He's willing to cry, scream, and threaten over the smallest of transgressions. Of course, he's also a yandere as per series standard.

10. Momonga

Okay so this is only half-serious, but there's a reason Momonga (Chiikawa) is so beloved by jirai girls and often depicted fitting the visual jirai stereotype in fanart. She's ultra cute! But she uses her appearance and acting vulnerable and innocent to try to get away with shithead behavior. She's loud, erratic, and self-obsessed, and often cries when she doesn't get her way. She's obviously the worlds cutest little manipulator, and she knows it.
