When I was in preschool, if you got something in your eye at recess, you’d just have to run up to an aid and tell them. Without fail, no matter who it was, you’d promptly get picked up, held horizontally, and shaken up and down for a few seconds. That tactic worked every single time. Some kids said they had something in their eyes just so they’d get shaken.
