Pick a Group Tarot Reading (general, what do you need to know?)

Group 1 -

You guys need to know someone's getting karma. For some of you it's family, some of you some type of thief , maybe both. Something about someone cutting hair as a confirmation. Also corn? Flipping the script. Movies. Bacon. Someone's hand. A foul mouth or maybe someone says that. Something about a movie star or maybe you want to be one or that's what you should shoot for if you do , or that may be someone's destiny ?. I'm channeling someone's dog and the dog is really chubby and short. A lot of you might be falling in love, a few of you someone's falling in love with you, but if anything I see it being mutual. Some of you had your hearts broken not too long ago. Let that go , for that group, a few of you I still sense some resentment or something. Maybe they deserve it but they'll get karma trust. Even if you don't realize it's that serious. They're gonna get karma big or small. Your resentment is half intuitive , let the universe take that on though, you don't need to . The best revenge is to go be happy and fall for someone mutually who does deserve you, ok. I'm also seeing a lot about the fall . And snow. So those seasons are special somehow. Maybe next late fall is important . Someone's gonna move to a house at that time. I'm picking up on a lot about different new pets that you will consider family if you're the type to you will have a few new family members eventually. A new car. I keep picking up on work but I haven't got anything about that but it seems that that is probably how that's going to manifest. I'll keep in mind to do a career specific reading today or soon ! Keep in mind if this resonates it resonates, this reading got narrowed down a lot by the end of it. And the last part is only a confirmation for some few that it's genuinely reasonable, it will manifest for, and is only a confirmation to them to not worry and they will know who they are. Alright, there's a chance the person that you fall with is responsible for this! But you'll intuitively feel that if it's accurate. ;)

Group 2 -

You guys definitely need to relax, recharge , destress. Maybe you're forcing something somehow. When really you'll go way further with whatever it might be if you just take this time for yourself to do that okay. I know, I've been there, maybe even deal with myself refusing to chill out weekly lol. It's alright, I know it's difficult to surrender to the universe, especially when what you're going for you dont feel like you can relax until you've attained it. But it's seeming like relaxing is exactly how you're gonna get it when you hop back into this in whatever way, quickest and easiest. I know for example when I play video games for some reason if I take a few minutes to chill out and then get back to it I literally recharge and end up beating the level I was struggling on. This is a good time to focus on your own thoughts and mentalities and work with yourself. Trust me I know this might be frustrating for some of you cause.. it takes one to know one. Just try your best to chill ok. Go for some entertainment maybe. Sometimes I forget how nice it is to just lay in bed or take a hot a** shower... So maybe try to brainstorm/ remember something that genuinely mellows you out and you enjoy . Peace peace you guys. & Take care.

Group 3 -

I'm initially channeling a white dog, Also lightning and thunder. Forest animals. An owl. Butterflies. Flowers. Third eye. A crystal on a third eye? Some of you may be sad ... Could be something regarding a parent or parenting. A few of you few uncomfortable in your bodies but this is totally brainwash and you're beautiful and deep down you know that. Someone's kids have no filter and maybe are mean to them omg . You need to respect yourself for who you are. There's a masculine figure in your life yet or not, that loves you a lot and sees all beauty in you. And maybe because of how you feel you doubt them but you should listen to them if they say, they're telling the honest truth about how they feel and think. One of you there's a dude with anger issues that's not who I'm talking about violence is never acceptable he can go work out or something to get that out ok. Anyway I keep picking up that for a lot of you you should eat what you want. Something about cheese. Like if you're dealing with some eating stuff somehow for whatever reason I'm supposed to suggest to you to really taste your food, like ratatouille did if you ever saw that movie, and don't wait until you're starving to eat. Get snacks in too . Drink more liquids, if digestion is an issue ,try different drinks that might help and see what works. Someone has a kid in diapers don't smack your kid you don't need to hit someone for them to know. Or yell .You need to connect with them on a deeper level and communicate with them knowing they're smart and can grasp it, believe it or not, intellectually. Kids can teach you a lot, you have to be open to it, and open to trying different things. And if they don't know something yet, you must teach them. But for you, watch out, spirit sees you, learn more patience and become more conscious about this, one day your kid will grow up and have a mind completely of their own and they will judge you how they see fit. Anyway if you're a parent here, I assume a majority of you are, either way a young kid in your lives are here as teachers , and you should listen to them and take stuff in you might not notice if you're distracted or just looking at them like they're a young minded kiddo. Some of them are ancestors, one of you knows a kid and they are from somewhere off in space, that's how I saw that literally, a different star was their sun. This kid might seem spacey sometimes , they're wise. Very cool stuff. Also something about skateboarding. Maybe I should tell you , something about the concepts of being open minded, trying new things , breaking traditions, having fun and taking risks. Learning new philosophies. Libraries. Someone knows a older kid who plays Minecraft and Roblox. Some other games? That's a good kid and make sure you are a stable figure in their life and are there for them and a good example all the time, they look up to you and it seems like they need something from you. Pay attention!

What methods/sites would you recommend using for reading Arcs 5-8 of Re:Zero?

I’ve almost finished season 2 of the anime, and I’m pretty sure this has become one of my new favourite anime/works of media in general.

And considering I keep spoiling myself anyway when I look at Re: Zero tumblr blogs, I figured I should just find a way to catch up with the rest of the series.

You seem smart, and have clearly read Arcs 5-8, so I was hoping that you would be able to provide some advice.

hi there!! :D no worries for the ask, its cool to have another rezero fan join in the fandom especially on tumblr (which is a very small, curated circle of a bunch of us trading posts around a campfire HAH) and i hope youve really been enjoying the anime and your stay here so far!! :o this is absolutely one of my favorite media as well (if. if you couldnt tell by the blog pfft) and thanks for the compliments haah i am glad to seem smart.

but yes i gotchu on where to read!! ill be giving you a pretty detailed explanation/guide. (this explanation also goes mainly for english speakers / people who wanna experience rezero in english.) (and of course if any other seasoned fans are seeing this feel free to add on if i miss anything or correct me if needed)

Main Route Stuff:

witchculttranslations is where you can find the translations for the entire main route (which is arcs 1-8). this page is where youll find the main table of contents for each arc and you can find arcs 5-8 there!

note that arc 8, at the time of me writing this ask, is still a work-in-progress and the team of translators in this fandom are always hard at work to translate each chapter. also note that arcs 7-8 are "conjoined arcs" - think of it like arc 7 is part 1 and arc 8 is part 2. so if you happen to get caught up to where rezero is currently at, the rezero subreddit regularly updates chat + update threads whenever new rezero novel content comes out in general. youll find updates on translations or summaries for new chapters there.

there's also distinction between web novel and light novel - web novel are the chapters that tappei releases online, light novel are the official finished versions of the chapters that are released for sale. sometimes there's changes between the web novel and the light novel, but for the most part it's either minor changes to improve on the web novel - sometimes it's major, but for arcs 5-8 iirc there isnt any major changes that you need to worry about.

just note that in the wn translations, all/almost all dialogue is written in script-style. let me show a small excerpt from arc 5 chapter 1:

???: “Good job, Subaru, I suppose.” A small silhouette enters Subaru’s view from above. A loveable girl with long, cream hair and an extravagant outfit—Beatrice. Her fluttering dress looks out of place in the meadow as she presents Subaru with a towel. He accepts it and vigorously towels his head dry. Subaru: “Ah, thanks. Was looking to cool down so this’s perfect.”

so yeah the wn will be formatted like this by the way, just in case you didnt know this yet!! i hope thats not much of a turnoff or anything, but dont worry you get used to it - and the story is still pretty great anyway!!

also dont bother with arcs 1-3 wn. its not so important (and you already know all the major info because youve seen the anime) and also arcs 1-3 wn doesnt have the Best writing. tappei himself had to make extremely major changes for the light novel and the light novel (along with the anime and manga) is the finished and polished result.

and of course the light novel comes with illustrations for each arc. the web novel sometimes includes images as well at the beginning of each chapter, but if youd like to see finished and official illustrations for various scenes throughout arc 5-8 its easy to find them if you search them up online!!

the anime also has a few bits of Important cut content from arcs 3-4 - unfortunately i dont have any resources on hand for this ;-;;; but you can look this up on rezero reddit or online in general since a lot of people have made summaries about this. from what i remember in arc 3 (which is the royal selection/white whale/petelgeuse half of season 1!), the main thing is just the reveal that al has some sort of connection to ram (and rem by extension), some sort of connection to satella possibly, and he is ALSO someone that was isekaied into rezero's fantasy world.

as for arc 4 (which is season 2 of course), the anime got down almost all of the general important info you need to know, but there's a lot of important information in the last parts of arc 4 that the anime didnt include. the anime may include this information (and the al stuff from arc 3) later, but you'll need to know it for arcs 5-8. you can find the witchcultranslations guide for arc 4 here - scroll down and youll find the chapter called Appendix: Advent!! you'll need the info in that chapter for later.

if you want, you can also read the chapters after that - theyre sorted under One Day II and are the official arc 4 interludes that take place before arc 5. i do recommend reading through them, but theyre mainly characterization stuff, character dynamics post-arc 4, everyone trying to recover after arc 4, etc etc. the most important info in there is leadup for arc 5 (all the post-arc 4 aftermath stuff) and also some info/introduction on clind and annerose (who are characters that are briefly shown in the anime for like two seconds). these two do play minor roles in arc 4/beginning of 5, but theyre hinted to be important for later. if youre in a hurry to get to arc 5, totally fine to just skim through it, get basic info on clind and annerose then continue into arc 5 or something. or you can look at their wiki pages - totally cool to enjoy rezero however you wish. it's a LOT of reading dont get me wrong HAH.

as for the manga - this is not required reading or anything, the manga has only done arcs 1-4 atm so it's not really super relevant to you since youre almost done with arc 4 already via the anime!! but of course if you havent done so youre welcome to check it out if youd like, the manga artists are pretty great imo. im just gonna show some art from the manga artists here:

anyway thats it for main route content!! now i gotta explain side content.

Side Content:

you can find witchculttranslations' side story table of contents here, which very neatly shows you Every Single Side Story and is updated regularly every time tappei comes out with new side content. and trust me, tappei makes A Lot of side content. i guarantee you a lot of rezero fans havent read every side story (and i still have a lot of side stories to catch up on myself), so theres absolutely no need to read every single side story!! honestly just read the ones you find interesting + the ones that are required reading! im not sure how much of the side content youve heard about, but ill give you a rundown:

this extremely helpful google spreadsheet here (thats also regularly updated) tells you how important each side story is and where you can find it so you dont have to go on a wild goose chase wondering which ones you need to read for the main story. rezero side stories are on a sliding scale of just silly stuff tappei wrote for fun to this is VERY crucial for the main story. that google spreadsheet should help you out with that - both the spreadsheet and witchculttranslations have links to almost every side story available.

(the spreadsheet also tells you important details and who it's centered around + when each side story is safe to read free of spoilers after a certain point - so it's easy to decide when you wanna read the side stories and WHICH side stories you'd like to read!)

also i guarantee you that if you have a favorite character in rezero that character Probably has a ton of side content theyre featured in - so i recommend just hunting down all their side content and devouring it whole because im sure youll have a fun time with that. a lot of side content also fleshes out a ton of side characters as well in general - people who Looked shallow in the anime ARENT shallow at all, i promise. many people have hidden depths, which is one of the fun parts of rezero!

witchculttranslations and the google spreadsheet also tell you what order you might wanna read in terms of when each one takes place. i recommend following that order for the most part if youd like, but if you wanna binge read side content or something later you can also do that after reading arc 6.

that's how i experienced the side stories myself (i started reading them after finishing up with the arcs 5-6 plot) and in a way, i would say that might just be the easiest way to do it given a lot of the side stories take place during arcs 1-6 or before the events of arcs 1-6. itll make you go "ohhh thats what was happening with these background characters during *insert event here that was focused on in the main story*" or "ohhh thats why These Guys are like this" a lot pfft. so its easier to just get out the most important ones / the ones thatre most interesting to you all in a row after finishing up with arc 6 👍

The Ex Novels:

these are THE MOST IMPORTANT side stories. :o theyll be extremely important for arcs 7-8 especially!! also because these are light novels the dialogue is written in normal narrative format so hooray for that!!

anyway theres five ex novels. i recommend reading these after arc 6 so you got them fresh on the brain for arcs 7-8.

however if you happen to be a crusch camp fan, you can read ex novels 1-3 at any time youd like!! these flesh out characters like crusch, felix, wilhelm, and theresia (some of the wilhelm and theresia content was shown a bit in season 1 of the anime!) so youd probably enjoy these even more if youre a fan of any of them. ex novel four also features felix, julius, and reinhard too, if that interests you! (as a knight fan ex novel 4 was my favorite akdndn and i loved ex 1!!). but yeah in general though read the ex novels in order (from 1 to 5 of course) so you dont spoil yourself for other ex novels, but as i said - you can read 1-3 at any time, and in general its best to read the rest of the ex novels after arc 6.

the ex novels in general mainly focus on important historical events in the rezero world and stuff that happens before arc 1. the ex novels are also our first introduction to the nation and empire of vollachia—this is also the country that priscilla is from (and al also came from there)!! you get introduced to vollachia's whole deal in these novels. youll need this info for later!

anyway witchculttranslations and the google sheet dont have links to them because theyre published + officially translated light novels that are easiest to access by buying them, so harder to get a free pdf of them. however i got you (and your wallet) covered because i got pdfs for all of them right here (if these links dont work let me know!):

ex novel 1 - crusch and felix-centric

ex novel 2 - wilhelm and theresia-centric

ex novel 3 - wilhelm and theresia-centric

ex novel 4 - felix, julius, and reinhard-centric

ex novel 5 - priscilla and al-centric

anyway thats the ex novels in a nutshell!! and of course if you want a physical copy of these books (or any of the rezero light novels in general) in english you can buy these online (sites like amazon has them) or at a bookstore. if you live in the US like i do, barnes and noble has them irl as well. or if you happen to live near a kinokuniya store, they also sell rezero irl. kinokuniya is also specifically for japanese media so i highly recommend giving it a try if you happen to be near one (i got a rezero keychain from there also hah, rezero merch is a little hard to get a hold of sometimes).

rezero light novels are also translated in a few other languages (iirc spanish and polish are some of the other languages its translated in) so if youd like that too you can look into it and buy some!!

The If Routes:

if youre not familiar with these by now, theyre basically "what if"/ alternate universe stories where subaru makes a different and Very Major choice at different points of the main route. theyre not necessarily required reading, but some do have some important lore regarding several of the characters and in general most of them are extremely important AUs for rezero that emphasize all the themes of the story. they also show the Insane butterfly effect of subaru’s decisions.

and if youve gotten this far with the anime already im gonna assume you probably like subaru at least a little bit? :o yeah his character gets fleshed out in Very Interesting ways in these routes. other characters also get changed in various ways due to his decisions!

new ifs are also released typically every year on subaru's birthday - april 1. so with every april 1 the entire fandom plays russian roulette because either the if will be a super silly one or a Very Important one LMAO.

also these ifs tend to be mentioned a lot in fandom bc theyre very beloved and interesting side stories, so i highly recommend choosing which ones you find interesting and just have fun reading them!! you can find them on the spreadsheet, if you want to read them in a more chronological order, or you can find them on the main witchculttranslations website as tabs on the side underneath Re:Zero If Stories. (but ill provide the links to each separate one in this post also.)

all current if routes at the moment take place somewhere in the arcs 1-6 range, so you can look at them either after arc 6, like i said, or in order as you read along with the main route. ill give a quick breakdown of each if just in case!!

Pride If - diverges from arc 1; subaru doesnt call for help when fighting the three thugs in the alleyway. slight spoilers for one part of arc 5 in like One Scene of pride if.

Wrath If - diverges from arc 2; subaru accepts beatrice’s offer to help in the loop where rem dies + subaru tries to run away from the mansion. very minor spoilers for ex novels/arc 7-8 (characters who appear in those arcs appear in wrath if).

Sloth If - diverges from arc 3; subaru gives up and runs away with rem instead of dealing with the arc 3 conflict. very minor spoilers (a character who later appears in arc 8 appears here).

Aganau If - diverges from arc 3; in the loop where rem dies in the cave and subaru carries her back to the mansion, he decides to go down another route away from the mansion instead. years later, he’s now older and still alive after almost everyone else has died. this if is one of the routes in the now discontinued lost in memories mobile game (and this is The Most Important route out of the whole bunch anyway). you can find a playthrough + english translation of it here.

Greed If - diverges from arc 4; subaru accepts echidna’s contract. major spoilers for arc 4 of course. minor spoilers for arc 5+ (small plot beats are mentioned iirc). a bit of important lore for characters like echidna and clind. the first edition of it can be found here - make sure to read this first. this is because this if was also given a longer and polished light novel version of it (it was a special that came with some of the season 2 blueray dvd packages?) and you can find an english translation for the extended + final version under the Blueray Novels and Databooks section of witchculttranslations' side content page.

Gluttony If - diverges from arc 6. major spoilers for arcs 5-6.

Mimigau If - this is just a genderbend au that tappei made that starts from arc 1!! almost nothing is changed besides the characters’ genders, biological sex, names, etc. i sadly dont have a link to this one, but iirc this hasnt been fully translated yet? and it's also very much not that important of an if lore-wise so you're not missing out on much. the genderbent character names are really fun though!

Lust If - this is, supposedly, an if that tappei wrote in one sitting and then decided to delete off of the official rezero wn site. this if is just an april fools joke where subaru gets a harem of various rezero girls. and imo its not Particularly Good, but it was meant to be a joke and tappei just wrote it for no reason so ig the quality makes sense haah. and also sadly that harem includes petra iirc which. yeah. not what id call great.

Vainglory If / School If - basically a canon high school au for all of rezero! not a necessary read at all but it's super silly and fun. and if you like anastasia and/or priscilla they have a lot of Fun Interactions in this one. im not sure if all of this if is english translated yet, but you can find chapter one here.

Other Various Ifs from Lost In Memories - i dont have the links to all of these, but lost in memories has a lot of other more minor aus as well, aganau if is just the most important + the darkest one. the other ifs are more lighthearted and just extra stuff for funsies. other big examples include a julius if (subaru calls for help in arc 1 and julius is the one who comes to help), a reinhard if of sorts (takes place around arcs 1-2, it's a sillier story where reinhard just keeps appearing out of nowhere to help subaru every time he needs help), and also an otto if (arc 1 divergence; subaru gets involved with otto and the two of them decide to start a mayonnaise business).

A Side Note About Rezero Video Games:

ok i know your ask is mainly about how to READ rezero but i figured i might as well explain this really quick just in case!!

there are a bunch of rezero video games and none of them are really Necessary, so dont worry about it. theyre either like - silly alternate universe stuff or theyre a bit more of the serious au variety (like aganau if, as mentioned earlier. i dont know every single rezero video game out there (and i think theres still new ones in the works at the time of me writing this??) and also almost none of them are english translated so its hard to experience them if you dont understand japanese.

the two most important ones (aka the ones with more story in them) are gonna be prophecy of the throne and lost in memories (which i mentioned earlier!). and again, these games are not necessary content - theyre mostly just side content that you can look at/watch/play through for fun and if you just wanna see more of your faves. you can check them out at any time since they dont have any major arc 5-8 spoilers.

Prophecy of the Throne - this is visual novel + a divergence of arc 3 where a new and sixth royal candidate emerges and it looks like emilia is the fake royal candidate here.... so yeah the plot is just. it's like a game of among us. but it's a fun story with a lot of different character interactions (so if you really like the entire cast of rezero youre in luck!!) and features a tiny bit of lore about some powerful groups in the fantasy world. a few of subarus failed loops in this one are also Particularly Brutal. you can watch gameplay of it on youtube or play through it yourself (i know that the game IS on steam too) since it's fully english translated (and all the jp vas and english vas reprised their roles as well).

Lost In Memories - as mentioned earlier, this is a now discontinued mobile game. iirc it was a gacha game? a sort of fighting game? and also it's narrative driven with a bunch of different routes. you can find the wiki for it here - it summarizes a lot of the main story beats. theres no official english translations for this game, but theres a lot of fan translations that you can find on stuff like youtube if youre ever interested in any part of the game. also it has a really fun opening song and animated sequence. nonoc's rezero music is great <3

A Side Note About Rezero Youtube:

theres a lot of summary videos for both main content chapters and side stories on youtube. im not sure how accurate these videos are, but i know that at the very least they can give you a brief rundown on the main points for certain chapters/side stories if thats something youd like to have!

theres also an entire team of people making a fan-run audiobook for arc 5. ive given some of their episodes a listen, and i can confirm that theyre absolutely great. you can find their readings of chapter 1-47 on spotify, and on their youtube channel theyre up to chapter 62. i think theyve also expressed their interest in branching out into other rezero content as well? :o so if thats also something youre interested in you can check them out there!

In Conclusion

anyway, that should be all you need to know - thats a summary of basically all important rezero content from here on out!! i know this is like. Super detailed. so i hope that this was helpful and didnt scare you away or anything hah. and i hope you have fun reading through rezero :o !! you got a lot of content to choose from thats for sure!!

I get mad thinking about Vivziepop’s questionable writing or dialogue choices sometimes—and then I just feel sad after because I really wish I could see her shows as something naunced and worthy of thoughtful discussion. I wish I could love these shows wholeheartedly like I use to, and its only the attachment I still hold for her works that keep me sticking around, but man, I feel so disheartened sometimes that I wish I could just let it go and move on already, but its hard.

I don’t see either of her shows being things that are going to be remembered as super amazing or have a fandom passionate about the work like 10 years down the line. I can’t look at her characters and think about their possible motivations or analyze them deeply based on interaction, or just general presence in the story, because there is no depth greater than a pond. With her antagonists she writes them in such a particular way that they serve less as actual characters and more as glorified plot devices and nothing more, and with her protagonists she leaves them as overdeveloped or underdeveloped at the same time.

What am I suppose to take when watching her shows? With Helluva Boss, I can’t tell what I’m suppose to gleam from it. Is the story about relationships and focuses on character interaction and characters more than the plot itself? Its not doing that great of a job at that. Theres no changes in character dynamics, characters dont really interact with one another meaningfully most of the time, and relationships arent explored enough outside of already established ones. Is it about fighting against a system that is rigged against you and standing up against the ones in power? No, it isn’t, because the opression our main characters face isnt relevant enough in the story outside of the ocassional reminder that, yes, Imps are the lowest in the system, yes, imps can be quite literally sold as property and serve as servants and the working force to the ones in power, and, yes, imps face discrimination. (Can you tell the supremacist line pissed me off yet.)

I.M.P—who are all apart of marginalized species in hell—do not talk about these issues they face. Crimson is literally a mafia boss in Greed and he doesn’t seem to have any problems being a imp in power despite the demons working under him being higher in status than he himself is. (Minus the money problems because it doesnt seem actually relevant to anything and isnt brought up afterwards) Why have our main characters be apart of the lower class at all if it isnt actually important to the show. By the end of this show, the hierachy isnt going to change because status quo is god, and the worst case scenario possible is that Blitz gets with Stolas and becomes a prince and lives a life where the same species he’s apart of literally serves under him.

And speaking of status quo, what on earth is season 2 of Hazbin going to even be about if season 1 ends in a literal war between Heaven and Hell? You don’t just change the status quo that drasitically in one season—unless if Hell and Heaven were at war since the start? But it doesnt seem that way. Would Season 2 focus on redemption—but if that’s the case, why make season 1 the war between hell and heaven when season 2 would be more fitted for it instead?

I never thought these shows would be on ‘Breaking Bad’ tier levels of writing, but I thought they were going to at least be something I could walk away from with a clear understanding of what message it wants to tell and how I can interpret it as part of an auidence, but maybe I was wrong to think the stories Medrano writes have something wonderfully insightful to give, and it really hurts to think about.

I know how you feel, Anon. A shame we can't all have just one day to look into the good timeline where Viv's the writer and person we hoped she would be, and these shows are everything we were looking forward to.

So uh... Earthspark Au idea

So you know how occasionally Starscream and Bumblebee somehow get paired together and goofy shenanigans insue? Like in IDW for example- Well take that but add some more shit to it- Like a lot more hand wavy magic shit to it.

Anyways spoilers for Earthspark Season 1, the whole thing. And also uh brain fart moment right here so its very rambly but I wanna try and get the main point across. I will elaborate it people are intrested tho.

Well I had a goofy au idea brainfart moment where after the events of season 1, the autobots and decepticons have to somewhat colaborate which each other to survive on earth. From finnaly freeing every captured Decepticon in the form of a transaction to get Starscream and his remaining seekers do an extended sweep over the entire earth in order to comfirm Dr Meridians death because oh boy his body mysteriously disapeared (And because Seekers aint called seekers for nothin, they hella good at tracking down anything that exists)

Other scheningans insue because Megatron wants to reconnect with his Decepticons and beocme friends with everyone- But like none of them are really having it, in fact the main motivator for any con is that they want to protect their new generation, the terrans, therefore they wont try and obliterate the autobots at every moment. This is specifically true for Starscream who literally cant exist in the same room as Megatron but gets absolutely swarmed by terrans the moment he is near them, most notoriously Hashtag and Twitch but mostly Hashtag.

And then there is Bumblebee, the mentor of the maltobots who will do anything to keep them safe- But not much can be done when your protégés are pestering the most dangerous Decepticon to ever Decepticon (Aside from Megs but he dont count anymore) So he has to just sit there and tolerate it-

Eventually though trouble arises once more and the maltobots have to fight for the freedom of their kind, now joined not only by the autobots but occasionally even a Decepticon or two whenever their expertise come into play, but the cons aren't doing it for the Autobots thats for sure.

Bumblebee is always with the terrans whenever he can be, but the five are more grown as each day passes, and far harder to keep an eye on, especially since the concept of war has been properly introduced to them. So when Starscream is there to provide intelligence or sneak stolen gadgets to Hashtag and Nightshade, Bee has to appreciate the weight the seeker unintentionally takes off his back. Afterall Starscream may be extremely dangerous, cunning and deceitful- But it certainly does wonders for him to be near sparklings.

Where the au comes into real play is when the threat of Dr Meridian resurfaces much to everyones dismay (Like pee paw willy over again).

The terrans and the kids are locked in tight combat, trapped in a very dangeorus and likley fatal situation of which they havent quite grasped the severity of. This time they dont seem to have the grace of Quintus Prime at their side as things look really grim, their only proper cybertronian assitance comes in the form of Bumblebee and Starscream who are forced to hold off the threat together the best they can before help can arrive. While the terrans do a great job of fighting alongside them as they have proved themselves plenty of times- It doesn't seem to be enough. All of them are left tattered, injuried and worse for wear- Particularly their two cybertronian gaurdians who had just taken on a fatal blow to protect them.

Quintus Prime, unlike the Maltos thought before, was with them, he watched them. He hoped, but there was little he could do, it was not like before...

But... There was a call, a plee. A promise of service. Not from the humans or the terrans. No...

Something else entirely- A presence akin to Primus itself- A spark, reaching out to him. Promising to protect.

Ah yes. The cybertronians. One of them had not yet given up yet, despite the fact he no long had functional limbs nor wings- It was present, nearby somewhere was also another presence, but so much weaker, so fragile and quickly fading.

No.. That couldn't work could it? They were already established sparks, born from the allspark directly-

Perhaps that could work.. Perhaps the Emberstone had a little extra light to give.

And so, from the rubble- Right as the enemy intends to strike another blow, two new protectors rise- And two new presences began to circulate between the thoughts and feelings of the Maltos.

Im 7 minutes into Volpina but Ive alredy watched the first three seasons so I know about Lila and I know about all the bullshit drama theyre gonna use her for so I just need to get this off my chest as quickly as possible:

The Writers Of Miraculous Ladybug Have No Idea How To Write The Social Dynamics Of Young Teen Girls

Let me tell you a little story of my time in elementary school as a preteen girl. There was this girl, Im calling her C, who was a lot like Lila in the sense that she lied a lot but people still hung out with her and seemed to really like her despite that. Now, unlike how it is with Lila, literally everyone immediately saw through her lies because children arent as stupid as some might believe. Me and my other friends would regularly get together, without C ofc, to shit-talk about her, specifically for being a liar and make fun of her and just generally hate on her behind her back. And yet, whenever she was around they were always going up to her willingly because despite that, they genuinely liked hanging out with her. Why is that? Honestly, I couldnt tell you since I didnt like her that much and had a hard time pretending I liked people when I didnt, so unless my friends or classmates inadvertantly pressured me into being around her, I just kinda avoided her, so I never got to see what she was like under four eyes or even in groups consisting of less than 5 people either.

So yeah, young girls tend to see through another young girls' outrageous lies but are unlikely to call them out as such for a variety of complex reasons, Im sure its different for every girl. Marinette's conflict with Lila shouldnt have been "she has the ability to magically drastically decease everyones intelligence so they believe her obvious lies and Im the only one immune to it but now everyone thinks Im just a jealous bitch even though Im the only one in the right T-T", it shouldve been more like, everyone knew that she was a liar and didnt care too much because shes charismatic and fun to be around and her lies are pretty inconsequential anyway, even by middleschool standards, but Marinette (as Ladybug) starts to figure out how genuinely awful and potentially dangerous she is and is struggling to get her friends away from her because Marinette (as Marinette) cant present them with any reason to stop hanging out with her beyond "she lies a lot", which her classmates dont care enough about to do anything more than just like, avoid her

Oh it's Dew for sure to me.

He's always characterized as either a) a complete asshole with no regard for others or b) the whiniest, most pathetic little thing that cries at the drop of a hat. To me it seems like most people characterize him as younger than the other ghouls. Maybe not consciously, but it sure reads that way a lot of the time. Like he's completely emotionally immature and only capable of having a single personality trait (see above).

Like. Has no one seen how soft he can be on stage? I get that he had his little tiffs with Aether and sometimes chokes Rain, but for the most part he's such a softie. He plays with Swiss and dances when Nihil's casket gets brought out. He teases the crowd and clearly has fun with it. He has a whole personality!!

It's unfair to pigeonhole him as "the aggressive one", and I honestly don't know where the idea of him being a pathetic little crybaby came from, but it bothers me to no end every time I see him cry the second someone so much as kisses his neck or something.

but yes. reigning opinion seems to be that the babyfied version of dew is overwritten and very 2D. as well as the 'will burn your eyebrows at the drop of a pin' dew. ive touched on these things a little already.

but. dew is the fandom favorite, id say. the one everyone loooves to throw trauma onto. he is the very definition of 'put that guy in a situation'. he is very commonly written as the focus of many fics, whatever the genre. and to me, its so interesting that so many of us dont like these common headcanons, and do go out of our way to write our own versions, yet these things still stay the overarching theme. why is that? rhetorical question, really, but i do think the 'over emotional' idea of dew is very prevalent.

and, like ive said previously, i think he's much more stoic than that. he def shows some emotion. like cirrus, hes not a robot or anything. we see that on stage, of course, with the bits and what not. i think he knows when to joke, when to offer a hug, or when to get fired up about something (excuse the pun)

but i dont think hes going around lighting shit on fire cause something minor happened. do i think hed do that in certain circumstances? yeah absolutely. especially if youre of the belief that this ghoul has gone through some shit. has seen death and treason and went through an entire shift of all the atoms in his fucking body.

but hes strong, resilient. as well as soft and caring. to me, this is a ghoul that listens, that cares so fucking deeply. but he's calm about most things. observant. and a little frisky when he feels up for it.

and river, yes, he's so protective. like i said, most of us think hes seen some shit. so why wouldnt he be more level headed, stronger mentally, because hes seen what being reactive can do to a ghoul

and i really like your take on the different elements hes had and how that transfers to his personality. because there are so many nuances in elements in general! and i even have different ideas to how he acted as a newly summoned water ghoul verses a more 'seasoned' one. and some dont even believe he changed elements at all! but i agree, i dont think hes some shy little pretty water ghoul and nothing more. that boy had sass even back then, maybe even more so. but to me, he's always been that stoic and thoughtful ghoul that i do my best to write him as haha. there are far better writers of dew than i, but i for sure agree with y'all that there's things he isnt.

I saw your post about the Alberich surname and was curious about kaeya being half tayvatian! Can you explain that for me please? I miss and forget a lot of details and stuff in game, but I do genuinely love genshin lore related to khaenriah and kaeya! I also flip flop between kaeya being full khaenrian and being half whatever just because his star eye doesn't seem to be as pronounced as dainsleif for example. At least in game. (always zooming into his face to try and see the pretty star lol) Like I've seen the hc of his mom being sumeran and I think that's super cute! It could explain his darker skin tone compared to dainsleif and pierro? Or like idk the star trait has been deluted after many generations? Uh I've rambled a lot but I was just curious cuz I didn't know anything about him being half teyvatian!

I think it would be better for me to come back to this after 3.5 that way I can confirm most of what I initially typed out, but heres a summary of what I've thought of

1. His name being the only one in the history of known Khaenri'ahns to originate from Hindu instead of Norse/Scandinavian

2. Due to the Hindu origin of the name, we can connect it to his constellation which is represented by a peacock- India's national bird as well as the representation for the Spantamad in the Akademiya.

3. Him being there for the 3.5 Archon quest in Sumeru as well as him getting a possible skin that is clearly half Sumeru and half Khaenri'ahn inspired

4. notes or letters from a member of the Alberich clan in Sumeru

5. Most known Khaenri'ahn characters have been pale-skinned (were unsure about Pierro due to dim lighting but even then, he and Kaeya might be related) with distinctly shaped four-pointed star pupils while Kaeya was designed differently (unsure if its because he's the first one released in-game, if its a diluted gene trait, or if it might be indicative that he is curseless)

6. Seemingly curseless or unnafected by the curse. Was even "blessed" by Celestia with a vision, which is already odd. He's still the only canonical Khaenriahn with one (clearly Celestia doesnt care whether you want a vision or not either)

If someone can elaborate please go ahead! I'm sure I've missed some!

***Additional notes mildly unrelated to this theory***

-The Alberich clan must have been known for their strategic thinking, war knowledge, and mind games if they were able to rise as the leaders for Khaenri'ah during the war. If I were a Sumeru scholar, I'd tap that too lmao

-Kaeya's name meaning "Monsoon flower" is oddly tragic yet fitting. The monsoon flowers thrive in the rainy season. Kaeya thrives during the rain as well. His main growth points and tragedies in life have happened in the rain. If it rains during the 3.5 archon quest i will scream and cry please note this.

- oddly enough i am more of a believer of the "Kaeya being frozen in time for 500 years" theory. Its possible! Olaf Katzlein got frozen for 300 after all! Some old Sumeran must have immigrated to Khaenri'ah prior to the Catalycism and got the Alberich started. Alberich clan being the smartest family in Khaenri'ah maybe?? hmm...

-Majority of teyvat suspiciously dont know that Khaenri'ahns are the hilichurls and the abyss order which means this might be forgotten history...which is weird because if its a supposedly slow acting curse then even in future generations there should still be slow-turning Khaenri'ahns right? If they purposely stopped repopulating then how did Kaeya come to exist? Pierro getting funky with whom??????? He has only been beside the Tsaritsa for the past hundred years... OH MY GOD WAIT CRACK THEORY TIME- Kaeya being the Tsaritsa and Pierro's son which explains the white streaks in his hair. No? Ok I'll stop lmao...unless?? NAH JK THIS AINT IT...or is it... JUST KIDDING I SWEAR-

Hi!! So I'm a fairly strong chuck won believer (i have been given some Extremely convincing evidence and I think its interesting to think about so) but I saw a post you made about how that theory disregards cas and jacks arcs and I was just wondering if you could expand on that? I'm super open to interpretations lol and I'm really curious to hear the other side (i haven't seen too much anti chuck won stuff so I dont know the arguments)

Okay, oh boy. I guess part of it is what exactly you mean by “Chuck Won” because I understand it on a censorship level. Yes, Chuck was representing the network. Yes, the network meddled and cut Dean’s reciprocation and we ended up with that garbage finale with pages of [OMITTED] in the script. So, if that’s all you mean by “Chuck Won” then yeah, whatever I guess.

Idk, some people probably feel it’s a legitimate theory simply because Dean died. It seems a lot of the fandom thinks death = bad…and that’s just not the case now that Jack freed the souls. I mean, I can throw quotes from The Mummy and Lord of the Rings at you about how death is the next step in journey. So while I’m no longer upset about Dean dying in general, especially because it was foreshadowed, the way he died was so fucking dumb. That doesn’t mean I think it has anything to do with Chuck.

Cas’ arc was all about self-actualization. His speech in Gimme Shelter explains a good part of it with how he found purpose having a family and becoming a dad, BUT him also realizing that having himself is important, too. Then, oh goodness, we reach the culmination in Despair (The Truth) when he realizes happiness is in the saying, in accepting your truth, both the good and bad bits of yourself. The Empty comes and he reintegrates with his Shadow to become whole and saves Dean, the world, and himself in the process. Yes, that’s a whole bunch of Jungian psychology stuff and it’s a lot to process and I’m probably not doing the best job of explaining it. Most of the Chuck Won theory stuff I’ve seen ignores all that and seems to ignore the canon that Cas IS in heaven. I understand the disappointment of Cas and Dean not reuniting, YET. Corporate fuckery (and Covid) kept it from happening in the finale with the original Roadhouse ending that was planned and then scheduling conflicts and Jensen and Misha agreeing Cas needed more than a cameo kept him from being in The Winchesters.

And Jack. Jack was literally the whole goddamn point. The two big things are he’s possessed and sometimes dead because of this, or he is corrupted somehow. I have never seen a convincing damn argument for either of these things. There’s one post that tries to compare some his mannerisms to Chuck, but is filled with so much straw grasping and reaching I’m surprised the author didn’t need a doctor afterward. Another is that some people project on the poor boy so much and just they don’t like his arc, they want to think something is wrong. There is a lot more Pagan stuff about Jack and the number of mythologies where some god is brought down by being a power hungry dickhead and that comes back to bite them in the ass as a grandchild in Jack’s case removes them from power. There are better people to explain all the Pagan imagery surrounding Jack; my tag #jack is the orphic egg should get you to some really good stuff. I’m also not down to argue about how the last 3-5 seasons are meant to read with a Pagan lens. There was one group who predicted the end of the mothership months in advance and then all of The Winchesters and it wasn’t the people clinging to some white Christian reading.

Last thing, I just personally find the theory really lazy as well. I would legitimately be so disappointed in Jensen and whoever ends up writing the next chapter whether that’s Robbie or someone else if they went that route. Luckily, they are all smarter than that and I can see them seeming to lean into it, but then having the most fabulous rug pull! This is very long, oops.

The housewarming cookies being past d/s au seb + formal wear! (Which is. Hm. mostly suffering sorry 'bout that. Cw for the first half being a major ouch idk why i made it so bad please dont sue me??)

Okay so Seb doesn’t like formal events much as is, too many people to meet, things to do, and all of it ultimately just a giant waste of time, but the ex Ferrari Dom was making those functions an actual living hell.

They would always come with to keep an eye on him and Charles, but what they would actually do is almost turn the whole thing into a demo of showing off what good boys they are, except in a very, very not-fun way, because being good wasn’t actually an option. Nothing they ever tried ever made the Dom happy, harsh orders and comments whispered in their ears whenever the Dom got hold of either of them, and on top of that there would usually be a “wind-down” session scheduled after the event, even though going through the thing itself was already bad enough. At the end of the day there was nothing for them but crawling to bed and passing out—except Seb was deep into his insomnia by this point, so sometimes, frustratingly, even all of that wouldn’t be enough for him to switch off, so he would be left staring at the ceiling and going through the “worst moments of sebastian vettel — greatest hits” slide-show in his head, Charles cuddled into his side (at least he was always tired enough to go numb instead of distraught, leaching onto the first source of genuine human warmth provided to him and passing out the moment Seb got them under the covers).

I think there was a point at which Seb would seek out harsher, more exhausting scenes, maybe even trying to deliberately provoke the Dom, just to get some goddamn sleep. He’d stop after realising it didn’t help much; but I digress.

So! He moves to aston and has a new Dom which is you! And it’s going so well? You get him to take naps, and keep an eye on what and when he eats even though he has a dietician to do that, and praise him so much, especially compared to what was before, that he often doesn’t know what to do with himself. He is so much happier, and is actually getting better now; he brought you flowers the first time he slept through the night.

Except there is a sponsor event hovering on the horizon, and something is clearly off. You haven’t been to any formal AM event yet, since you’re also new to the team and maybe your contract was signed pretty late too, so you weren’t at the launch and pre-season functions, and generally decided it was better to settle in and get to know your subs first before chaperoning them like that. And it seems to be a very good decision, because Seb clearly has some sort of hang up about the upcoming event which is supposed to be your first one.

It takes ages to get him to fess up, and it’s more like tiny granules of information that he drops here and there mostly on accident, that you then have to piece together to figure out at least generally what was going on. Even with what little he let slip, your first instinct is to find the bastard and screw their head off, because how does one hurt another human being like that, especially such a sweet, gentle and trusting one? How dare they?

You check with Lance (who just shrugs: his old Dom didn’t go to any events, so he doesn’t really care), and then sit Seb down and tell him you don’t have to go if it makes him uncomfortable. And it’s clear by how he perks up that he would really prefer if you didn’t go, but he still squirms guiltily because you haven’t done anything wrong? You are so, so good to him, and now on top of all that you give him he is preventing you from going to a party and having fun? Just because he has a stupid hang-up that he can’t be an adult about and get over?

It takes a couple of rounds of him making sure you really don’t mind staying behind, and when he is convinced it’s okay and you both agree that you won’t go, he is just. He is so visibly relieved.

Maybe the event is on a race week Wednesday, and there is a soft nock on the door of your hotel room closer to midnight. Seb is hovering on the doorstep, anxious, still in a pristine white shirt and and actual proper bow-tie. You tell him how good he looks, and he relaxes just a little bit.

“Is that for me?” you ask, pointing at a food container in his hands, when he still doesn’t say anything. He blinks, trusts the box into your hands; he almost has too lean forward to reach you, with how far away he’s standing.

“Do you want to come in?” you ask, and he freezes like a deer in headlights. “It’s okay, you don’t need to do anything. I’m watching a movie, you can just watch with me if you like.”

When he still doesn’t say anything, you decide to prod him again one last time: “Do you need anything? You know you can always ask.” This makes him mumble an ‘I don’t know’, so you look around and kick one of your sneakers into the door frame to stop the door from closing. “Think about it, okay? If you want to come in, I’ll be right inside.”

You return to your room, switch the movie back on; open the box he brought you (it’s full of crab puffs. You remember joking while you were convincing him that you didn’t care about the party that you wouldn’t be missing much unless there were crab puffs on the menu. It’s only tomorrow, when it comes up in conversation with someone else, it transpires that the puffs weren’t actually on the menu; he must’ve gotten them somewhere else in the middle of the night)

He comes in eventually, and you mute the movie to turn and see if he’d talk to you know, and in the silence the click of the door locking automatically behind him is like a gunshot.

“Please,” he asks, panicked, grabbing for the handle. “Please, can I leave?”

He is out of your room the second you give him permission.

He’d come tomorrow for his session with eyes downcast guiltily and curl into your side, saying that he is so sorry for yesterday, and he knows you would never hurt him, but he’s just—just— You comfort him of course, because you would never want him to force himself do something he wasn’t ready for, even if it breaks you heart to see how much he struggles and for once being unable to help: if you tried to step closer yesterday you actually think he might’ve suffered a breakdown.

It’s actually Lance who asks if they can hang out with you before getting ready for their next event: he doesn’t really like those either, so he thinks it would be nice to get to relax a little before going. You cuddle with them before helping them get dressed and all pretty and sending them on their way, telling them how good they look and how proud you’re of them. Lance beams at you; Seb can’t quite meet your eye.

When he comes to you again after the event he is in his sleeping clothes and his hair looks like he deliberately messed it up. He spends the evening across the table from you while you play checkers on your tablet.

A few events after that, he falls asleep on your couch while you’re making you two some tea; you really don’t want to wake him up, especially since he still struggles to sleep sometimes, but you’re afraid he might freak out if he wakes up in the middle of the night in the dark in his Dom’s room. It completely pays off when you usher him to his own room and he hugs you and sleepily asks you to put him to bed, something he tries to do less now that he is overall better, just to show you that he is okay, that he trusts you to take care of him.

He asks you to go to the next event aston is hosting. It’s less of a boring sponsor-pleasing exercise and more an actual party (though still formal), so he probably feels safer since he wouldn’t need to perform as much, and also says he wants you to go out with them and have some fun.

When you rsvp to the admin team that you’re going to attend this one, they try to schedule a scene for afterwards because it’s kind of a general practice, and you barely manage to catch that before your subs get a notification for a schedule update.

The thing is, after the three of you are done with the ritual of pre-event-care and start getting ready, they see you all dressed up and they can’t take their eyes off of you? Seb in particular, bc I think it would be not long after he got his sex drive back and now he just, randomly gets stupid horny at the slightest provocation sometimes. And you in formal wear is not a slight provocation.

They keep pulling you to dance with them through the night, and the three of you are actually having a great time, and at some point during the evening you see them plotting something in a corner before making a pincer movement on you and asking you to scene with them for a bit after the party is done. You agree, of course, and it’s lazy and comfortable and perfect, and quite frankly one of the hottest scenes you’ve ever done.

You start going to all of the events from then on, taking extra precautions with Seb to make sure you don’t accidentally say or do something dominating that would through him for a loop, until he starts coming to you for instructions and permissions himself? So you decide to test the waters and order his food for him at the next banquet, and he just—beams at you. He is so fucking happy. Formal events for him went from a proper nightmare to something he looks forward to, because now that he has his Dom to take care of him he can focus on doing his job in the PR department and also gets to have some fun, which means it’s not half as draining as it was before, and he is never alone there, AND he gets to see you in formal wear, AND most days he would get to scene with you or sometimes you and Lance and then fall asleep tired but good-tired and sleep through the night, and he is not sure when his life took such a turn that he gets to have all of this but he will fight anyone who tries to mess with it.

Never ever apologise for a long ask because this is so good I am in shock. I just… I can’t even…. This is amazing. Every single person who follows me needs to personally thank lemon 🍋 again because this is incredible. I’m gonna try and add some thoughts but this is already perfect.

Firstly, I’m obsessed with the idea that events were always excuses for seb’s old Dom to show him off. Maybe he would even have ‘practice’ scenes for events? Where his Dom would ask him questions like a party guest and punish him if he said the wrong thing.

Seb used to hate those evenings the most, even more then the other scenes he had to do which were objectively worse.

And I think that’s because Seb HATES public humiliation? He likes a little bit of teasing and being made fun of in the safety and privacy of a scene. But in public? No no. He wants to be protected by his Dom in those spaces, not ridiculed and put on display. But his old dom never cared. And Ferrari certainly didn’t care because Seb was behaving and driving well.

And I actually think your choice to not attend events in the beginning ends up being the wrong one? Because Seb never got to see you protecting him and helping him during events from the beginning the same way he got to see for all other aspects of his relationship with you.

He has a new image in his head of scening is like because of you, what aftercare is like, what care and love are like.

But he’s never attended an event with you before and so, his memories of his Dom being at an event with him are all memories of his past Dom?

And he know it doesn’t make sense, he knows, but somehow he’s completely convinced that your behaviour at events will be same as his old Dom because he didn’t see that aspect of his life change at the same time the others did.

When he asks you not to attend the next event, I think part of it is testing you? He wants to see what you will do if he puts a firm boundary in place. His old Dom would have laughed at his request and he needs to see you have a different reaction, needs to see you acknowledge him.

And he’s honestly shocked when you immediately agree, promising that you won’t attend any events until he’s 100% comfortable with you doing so.

To be honest, Seb goes through the entire event in a state of disbelief because he genuinely can’t believe that you just let him do that. He knew. He knew you weren��t coming because you agreed not to come. But he’s still so shocked to not see you all evening.

And maybe that’s why he ends up outside your door when the event is over? He doesn’t need comfort or to submit, honestly he’s fine. But he just…. He needs to make sure that you’re actually real, that he didn’t dream up a Dom who respects his boundaries enough to miss official events.

And then there you are? In your PJs with messy hair and smiling so sweetly at him, asking how the event was and if he needs anything. He’s relieved to see you, but also he’s so overwhelmed and that’s why he just bolts.

But he kicks himself when he’s back in his room, because he realises he could have cuddled with you. He adores when you put him bed and he could have had that, he knows you would have done it for him.

And that’s why he shows up ready for bed after the next event. Because the events always tire him out and now he’s beginning to understand that he can ask you for what he needs. And he really does need to be tucked into bed and given a forehead kiss and kept company until he falls asleep.

I think the decision to ask you to join him at an event happens because he starts to look for you? A shift happens after a while and instead of trying to hide from an imaginary Dom that isn’t there at events, Seb starts looking for his real Dom.

He wants you there, not only to provide support and comfort, but also to joke around with and to judge people’s outfits and to complain about the ridiculous fancy food.

Though Seb does miscalculate a little because he fails to consider the fact that he has to see you in formal clothes. He fully malfunctions, has to go the entire evening half hard and trying desperately not to look at you for too long or else he’ll have a full boner that can’t be hidden by a skilfully placed hand.

The scene afterwards is so perfect. And he can sleep. Properly sleep.

Events aren’t so bad after that.

Hi! I just wanted to say I love your blogs and I hope your doing well. I'm praying for you and the Ukaraine. Also I wanted to ask about Alana Bloom in season 3, when she suggested using Frederick Chilton as the official voice for the insulting article Graham and Lounds wrote for tattle crime to enrage the dragon do you think she set Chilton up deliberately to get him hurt or did she simply not care? After the events of season two she turned into this cold cyinic and dark person which leaves me with mixed feelings about her. (I used to love her but after what happened with Chilton I cant help hating her a little.) She didnt seem all to concerned when she brought it up and when she visited him in the hospital she was so callous to him. What are your options on that scene too? Also I'd love to know what you think of Chilton in general and his character arc would be if the show renews itself. (I'm personally satisfied with all three seasons but I'm very curious to see what happens if they manage to get a 4th season)I dont think you've written a whole lot about him I'd love to know your thoughts! I think Alana simply didn’t care - I don’t believe she set Chilton up on purpose. No one really thought that the ‘official voice’ was going to be attacked except for Will, who had a much clearer and intimate understanding of Francis’ mind. There were risks involved, so Alana was wary of becoming involved, not to mention that she is smart enough by now to know that it’s better to avoid any plans if Will participates in them. So she chose to stay on the safe side, not caring if Chilton becomes a victim but also not really expecting it.

As for the hospital scene, I agree that Alana was cold and distant. However, I think it’s a part of her own trauma. She comes across as numb to me, like a person who’s stuck in a nightmare and who’s witnessed so many horrors that they can’t bother to react any longer. I believe Alana when she says that she came to visit Chilton to remind herself of what Hannibal is capable of. Chilton adds:

Chilton: What Hannibal is capable of. What Will Graham is capable of... What you're capable of.

Alana: That, too.

His implications are 100% correct: Alana acknowledges the role Will played in this tragedy and she acknowledges her own coldness. It’s just that she blames Hannibal for all of it instead of taking responsibility directly and/or sharing it with Will. She sees Hannibal as the source of all evil that happened with them, likely thinking he infects everyone he knows with darkness.

As for Chilton himself, I really enjoy his character! I always thought he’s fascinating character because of his duality. On the one hand, he's a joke: he tries hard to be a respectable professional, but he fails at pretty much everything. He's hilariously full of himself and has a funny sense of self-importance, so his scenes are always golden. And yet, despite his overall silliness, Chilton can be very insightful. I think Chilton isn't stupid in general, he's just stupid in several specific spheres where he wants to look good. He has pretty solid intuition, but he doesn't fully know how to use it. Because of this, he has occasional brilliant insights but struggles with tying them together. He's a mess, and if he took some time to understand and listen to himself, coupled with his ambiguous views on morality, he could become someone darkly formidable.

I honestly have no idea what they might have done with him in S4-5. There was an idea of him taking on the role of Jame Gumb from SOTL due to the reference of him wanting Hannibal’s skin, and while I think it has potential, I’m not sure I’d be able to buy it. I think at this point, Chilton should be way too damaged both physically and mentally to do anything serious. I understand there is a running joke of how he can suffer in new seasons because his constant survivals are barely possible, but being burned to a crisp is definitely something he cannot easily return to. Maybe I could see him teaming up with Freddie, just doing research obsessively or writing endless versions of journals about his thoughts, feelings, and experiences caused by Murder Husbands.

I'm going to say things bc that's how I cope.

As a person who thinks that if you're going to do something you should do it right, I can't help it, it bothered me how sloppy this season felt. Of course I fully blame HBO and their cheapness, but it stills bothers me. Not only we got two episodes less than s1, but the 8 we got were shorter, and you can tell. I also blame the budget cuts for the constant yet unnecessary flashbacks, and the weird editing, and the anticlimatic pace. In any case, I want to highlight the things I did like, because I fucking love this show and Im sure that after a rewatch or two I'll be less angry, so let's stay positive:

Since it seems they were having trouble to get the complete cast together in one plot, I do love they kinda let them have their spotlight one by one. Like, Frenchie in the first episodes, Wee John as Calypso, Lucius with his PTSD in ep5... It's not the same as s1, but it's something.

I've seen people complaining about this, but Im happy they didnt invest too much time on the forgiving process. I like it better when everyone gets along fine, and in the end they're pirates and they never seemed to be the kind of people who hold grudges, so yeah lets skip to the nice part.

I did like a lot what they did with Izzy. I don't care if it happened too quick or what, I used to feel indiference towards him and this season I actually enjoy his scenes a lot. I still dont know how I feel about his death tho. It bothered me a little that the whole scene was more about Ed than Izzy himself, but in the end I always saw Izzy as a narrative tool in Ed's arc more than as a character of his own, so I guess it makes sense.

Super happy with the music choices, and also the new outfits.

Really, the first five episodes were absolutely brilliant.

It made me so happy they got Bronson Pinchot as Ned Low.

Huge fan of Zheng Yi Sao and Auntie.

Im so fucking furious at Taika Waititi for his pro-Israel shit that seeing Pop Pop attacking him gave me some sort of inner peace.

Now, things I wished had been done differently: - There were a lot of paralelisms with s1, which is good, but I'd like they brought back more actual elements of s1 into play. Like, the lighthouse painting, the secret wardrobe, the pink robe, a third Badmington (he would have work better as big bad than this prince ricky guy I dont really care about?). Frenchie singing again. This oneis a reach, but I would love to have Mary Bonnet back. And I was really hoping they play with the fact that Stede is "dead". The guy doesnt even mention the Master Fuckery from ep10.

-On that note, I was a little dissapointed on Jim's arc. I was never that invested on them or their plot in s1, but it feels weird how this season it seems like none of that even happened. Even Jim felt like a different character. I feel it would worked better if some of the conflict was related to Siete Gallos stuff, so at least it would feel all of that subplot wasnt a waste of time.

-Little missing opportunities of making me happy: Anne Bonny and Mary Read mentioning Jack (to insult him, mostly); they kissing when the house is on fire; Ed finding not just one letter but the whole pile of them; a better narrative use for Seagull Buttons (well, any narrative use, really); developing the bombclocks thing in a way where Auntie was not deprived of her superhuman detective skills; having Ned Low as bigger villain, with several appearances.

-The general development of Ed/Stede in the final episode... It's just confusing to me. My reading of Stede's mind state was that he was on autopilot since he killed Ned Low, and being abandoned by Ed and having his ass kicked by Zheng would wake him up a little, but this episode he's still in PROBLEM SOLVER mode, zero regrets about anything, still hasn't talked anything through EVER, he's just fine. With Ed I dont even ask for coherence bc he's always been a wtf guy, but I dont understand the "just do whatever you're good at" thing in the beginning of the episode, and he claiming back his leathers and his pirate-self and going on berserker mode and fighting along Stede as equals and blablabla if at the end he's still chosing to be a fucking innkeeper. Also, having a shitty inn in the middle of nowhere sounds too close to the antique shop in ep4, didn't they learn ANYTHING from Mary and Anne? I mean, the innkeeping was a predictible outcome, but the setting up of the episode was really aiming to the opposite, so it feels weird to me. In any case, I'm happy they're together and if being absolutely on their own in the loneliest house in the world doesn't get them to improve their communication, idk what else they could do.

-Still think they should have been lighthouse keepers instead.

-Next season Im totally muting every OFMD tag as soon as they announce the trailer release, because the promo and bts content was absolutely TOO MUCH. Those fuckers had been showing us stuff from the very climax of the fucking last episode since weeks before the season aired. I get it's a me problem, but I do believe it ruined my experience a lot, so fuck that.

And well. That's it. Good season, could have been great. Im happy but sad. Let's just hope that, if there's a season 3, they gave them more money and time to do it properly.

And before I post this and run away from tumblr, Im checking out how much of my wishlist had been fulfilled: - LUCIUS IS ALIVE - Stede Bonnet, berserker era [Not as I imagined, but hey] - The Queen Anne’s Revenge, either being captured or coming back as the ship Ed left behind when he went to The Revenge - The Blockade of Charleston (and make really absurd) [Still might happen in the future?] - Anne Bonny and Mary Read(as middle aged women who kinda mirror Ed and Stede, but they did it right) - Since he was already mentioned in s1, it would make sense introducing Hornigold, maybe as a new antagonist or something. - A rip off of that wwdits episode with the Vampire Council, except this time is the Pirate Council and its members are pirates from other movies and shows [I was really dreaming big here] - On that note, a really weird episode with every person who has played Blackbeard in recent years [Fully tripping] - More women and more asian characters. And more people speaking their mother tongues [So many Chinese gals, not one chinese word :(] - Ed finding out about Stede’s death and believing it [It did happened but not how/when we thought] - Ed meeting Mary and getting along [Never losing hope on this one] - Frenchie adopting a cat (and singing a song about it). - More info about everyone’s pasts. - I would LOVE having Bartholomew Roberts in the show. [YES PLEASE]

One of my favorite things in fanfiction about video games is how people work in game mechanics, which is what I would find interesting in a stardew valley fic. Like magic exists, and the farmer engages in it with the totems and the monsters and the junimos and the talking to fucking bears and getting a special boy sword in the desert with a cool rock. That's fascinating to include for a story about a character who comes to town where THE LOCALS DONT SEEM ALL THAT BOTHERED OR THEY JUST DONT NOTICE.

So the character of the farmer is a trans guy who's always been bigger, more chubby, and working a few years in an office job has only exacerbated that even if he tries to eat well and exercise when he can. He generally aloof, kind of weird, absolutely had adhd, nice once the social awkwardness around new people fades, an absolute nerd, and determinedly hard working. Despite doing okay in life, the ennui of the corporate world takes hold and something about his late grandpa's old farm has always captivated and called to him in a way he can't explain so when he finally opens that letter, he quits and buys a ticket to Pelican Town on the spot.

Obviously, the farm is a dump and barely has working plumbing but with a mindset of 'its either this or go back to the office', he sets himself to work, clearing out the overgrown fields and planting what little he can. This is his chance to remake himself after all; no one here knows he's trans, no one here knows he's kind of a goober, and no one here has to know anything more about him than what he lets them know. So he decides to present himself as the cool quiet type when he goes into town instead of the talkative annoying, red headed dweeb he actually is.

During his first month, the locals are kind of meh about him, the junimos make their appearance, the wizard makes him drink the Dank Soup, and some interesting things happen to the farmer's...physique in the following months that is both impossible and has him scared and then jazzed. After the first change, he goes to the wizard for help who calms him down and assures him its probably some kind of thanks/incentive from the forest spirits to keep him on track with helping them. With that, the farmer is even more determined to meets the junimos demands.

While the place is weird and weird shit keeps happening, he’s more than happy he moved out here as the first of his crops come in. The farmer gets settled into the town, meets all the locals, and that is where the second part of 'trouble' starts...(this the self indulgent part which is going under a read more)

It's during the first summer that the attitude of the local bachelors starts to change around the farmer. He's always been reserved, quiet, and yet nice around most of them, so for that first season, most didn't notice much. Yet, as if by magic, the farmer gets a bit taller, broader, stronger, and it becomes a lot harder to ignore him when he's hurriedly walking through town, trying to make it to Pierre's before it closes because he forgot to buy more seeds AGAIN.

Shane is the first to have a new opinion on the farmer. He gets kicked out of Marnies on one of his days off for being a depressive little shit and so he takes a walk half drunk into the woods but ends up on the path to the farm up north. Suddenly, he's doing this every Sunday, starting out sometime at noon with a six pack and all hushed up about what he's doing when Marnie asks which is, in fact, spending a few hours drinking and watching his aloof quiet neighbor work under the hot sun, often times shirtless. It's a late Sunday night in early fall after an awful work week when he works up the liquid courage to hop the fence and see if the farmer needs some kind of hand that has nothing to do with his crops.

Harvey starts having to see a lot of the farmer, especially when he starts going into the mines cause he's getting the shit beat out of him by slimes and bugs. So doc sees him in all states of wear and tear and undress and dear God is it something for the awkward doctor man who's finding out his exact type is muscular and chubby and happy to follow the doctor upstairs for a special kind of exam.

Elliott is listless in his search for inspiration but becomes fascinated by the burly new farmer who comes to the beach every few days to fish and check his traps. An odd man reminiscent of a romantic interest in a bodice ripper who rebuilds the broken bridge and gives Elliot any extra fish or crabs he's caught and who doesn't seem to mind when Elliott sits close by with pen and paper, covertly observing. A storm surprises them one fishing session in the winter and its out of the kindness in Elliott’s heart to offer a dry place to stay until the worst of it passes and if he asks for some personal assistance in garnering a different kind of inspiration, well that’s neither here nor there.

The farmer is seen a lot throughout the town, and someone as athletically conscious as Alex has had a wide range of judgements passed onto the farmer. First, a smug mocking opinion about this overweight, out of shape dude taking over a farm, and then one of amazement as the dude works hard at his job and gains more muscle and then finally, at the spa, something a bit more conflicted as he keeps stumbling upon the farmer disrobed and relaxing from a hard day’s work. Alex discovers a few things, most importantly that sound carries extremely well in the spa, but, thankfully, its just the two of them around to hear it.

Or so they think, as there’s one blonde who’s accidentally stumbled across a few illicit meetings of the farmer's and this latest one at the spa is the straw that breaks the camel’s back. Sam bitches about it to Sebastian the next time they hang out, ranting and raving about how many times he’s seen the farmer inside some guy around Pelican Town. It’s not like he’s homophobic or anything, but holy shit, why is this always happening to him? Sebastian is kind of weird after hearing this, and actually leaves early because, well...

For Sebastian, he's gotten a very different side of the farmer than most everyone else. He's goofy, he's awkward, he's anxious, he can't sit still, he doesn't stop talking, and he seems to love dropping by and handing things off to Sebastian, whether it's food or something neat from down in the mines. At first, Seb thought he was kind of weird but they've become friends due to shared interests and he's slowly realized he's had a crush on the farmer for a while now and has been trying to figure out how to broach that topic or even just find out if the guy is into dudes at all.

Hearing from an annoyed Sam the farmer has literally fucked every other eligible bachelor in the Valley except him is soul crushing. He doesn't know how to take it and kind of avoids the farmer as he goes around to confirm that his friend and crush is indeed kind of a manwhore. The other four dudes confirm it, all of having hooked up with him anywhere from a few times (Alex) to several (Elliot) to a *shrugs* 'I stopped counting two hands ago' (Shane). Harvey isn't forthcoming with a number but it's somewhere close to Shane given how he mumbles something about ‘bi-weekly’.

His confidence somewhere in hell, Sebastian pretends not to care, realizes he cares a lot, gets a little drunk, and goes to confront the farmer...

And yeah. It's story that would incorporate the forest magic and the inherent weirdness of the game mechanics while also being smutty cause why the fuck not. Idk if I'll ever write it, but I think about and refine it whenever I play stardew valley.

My pals from discord and I were talkin shit about Aphmaus Minecraft series and two of them wanted to rewrite Diaries n Mystreet respectively and the more we talked the more I wanted to rewrite Diaries as well so now Im gonna watch/rewatch it and write my notes down here

Ive only actually watched the first season before bc I really liked Zane in Mystreet when he was a bastard asshole and ive heard that he was the villain in Diaries but then I wanted to look up his age on the wiki and found out that he really wasnt too important in seasons 2 n 3 so I never watched anything of aphmaus again. until now

Heres my notes on ep. 1:

Im considering renaming Aphmau (as a character obvs) to Jess/Jessica or smth. Idk like, all the other characters (aside from maybe Kawaii-chan but I'd prefer not to think abt her in general) have these very normal kinda generic names (Katelyn, Garroth, Zane, Lucinda, Lawrance, Aaron n god knows who else) so Aphmau as a name just seems really out of place but im not fully sure yet

Okay, so I think im gonna keep the plot stuff about how their Lord recently passed away and now everythings in chaos and theyve lost contact to all those other village states and theyre running low on resources oh no, I think thats a good excuse to keep it contained to one single place in the beginning as everyone is trying to deal with this shit. I dont remember too much about the plot from when I last watched this series though, so I might change some stuff later to have some foreshadowing and maybe make things more cohesive

Because this is a Minecraft Roleplay Aphmau doesnt really have a backstory which makes perfect sense in the context of it being a Minecraft Roleplay since we (the audience) dont really need to know anything about what happened prior the RP starting, however, Im trying to approach this like more of a traditional story so I think thats kinda necessary. I actually kinda already rewrote Diaries when I first watched it a few years back (but I was also using my own OCs back then so idk if it really counts) and the way I dealt w/ it there was just, the Main Character has amnesia. The full backstory was that she was actually the daughter of a noble (idk if it was the noble running the community she stumbled upon but its likely) and they did some magic/herb bullshit to make her forget everything but her name in order to protect her from being killed like the rest of their family and then shes just kinda a helpful nice girl in this struggling community until her past catches up w/ her yknow? I'd like to basically just do that but w/ Aphmau here

Im gonna go more into detail when we actually get to it, but I know towards the end of the first season they reveal that Aphmau is actually the reincarnation of Irene (whos basically Jesus in this world) and I feel like thats a bit much?? So im just gonna say shes like, Irenes only child or her only living child instead and sort of tie that into my previous idea, but again Im gonna get more into it when we get to that part

Im also leaning a bit more towards realism here (obvs its still fantasy I'd just rather nor have Minecraft physics yknow)

Aphmau finding the village is gonna go like this: She sees Vylad on patrol or some shit, follows him to the village, sees the other guards and kinda hides in the bushes nearby, eavesdrops on them (hears Garroth n Zenix have their exposition talk, (G) "I dont think anyone in the village will listen to any of the guards. Not after how horrible the last Lord was..." (Z) "Now that the Lord is gone the village is in chaos. What are we going to do?"), wonders whats going on and sneaks to the village without alerting the guards

Aphmau is staying more or less lowkey and just kinda walks around the village for a bit, sees all the villagers and all that, maybe has some little interactions with them idk

She nabs some carrots from one of the fields bc shes hungry (this is basically all just like it is in the OG Diaries but less Minecraft RP-ey yknow)

After that ya girl jusg sort of wanders around in the village, maybe pointing out some stuff that needs fixing and thinking about how she could help (bc shes definitely not leaving) and its kinda like foreshadowing her being this really good and helpful presence in this struggling village n shit

Im not fully sure how Im gonna deal w/ the Minecraft stuff initially, like, before it transitions into pure story and more or less cuts out all the modded!Lets Play shit. Bc in the RP, they dont really craft things (if I remember correctly) they just. get them somehow but Aphmau is gonna be crafting quite a bit in these early episodes im pretty sure. Now I have tried to convert this type of MinecraftRP into a proper story before, and the way I dealt w/ the crafting aspect there was by having a sorta Fullmetal Alchemist style magic system, where you have to put raw resources in this summoning circle thing and they work exactly a crafting bench but more Mystical n Magical but Im not sure if that would work that well

Aphmau is exploring the area a bit (and collecting some stones for better resources, if I'll actually go for my idea w/ the crafting benches) and hears weird creepy noises?? I dont remember if that leads anywhere, but Im putting it here in case it actually does or in case I can use a scene like this for something else

She doesnt really worry about finding a home and just kinda does her thing for a bit, exploring the area and all that, but then she realizes Oh Shit. Its Night Time and everyone already went home and locked their doors so dhes kinda fucked. She tries knocking on some doors but no one opens her but she fortunately manages to find a house thats seemingly abandoned and stays there for the night

(Also, Im keeping the hostile minecraft mobs)

And yeah, thats pretty much it for the first episode/chapter??maybe

Im not sure how close I wanna keep it to the OG but we'll see
