People you'd like to get to know better (tag game)

Answering this one on my main blog. I was tagged by @sergeantnarwhalwrites tyty

3 ships: Tough one. I'm currently not an active shipper when it comes to stuff that isn't my friends and I's ocs, as in I don't write/make art about it and I don’t seek out fanfic/fanart for it. Most recent ship I was totally in love with was an oc X Canon ship actually, Landon X Yelan from genshin impact. I don't fw genshin anymore so... the ship content I see the most rn is from mp100, so I guess that makes my other two ships Terumob (Teruki X Shigeo) and Serirei (serizawa X reigen).

First ship: Dunno. It would’ve been something in middle school... Something from Naruto maybe? Naruto X Sakura or Naruto X Sasuke?

Recent song: The whole album For Your Own Special Sweetheart by Jawbox. Savory was the first song I heard and I've loved that one for a while now but all the others have grown on me a ton since I picked up the album a couple days ago.

Currently reading: "Talkin and Testifyin: The Language of Black America" by Geneva Smitherman which is about the history of African American English. I usually don't read nonfiction stuff but research on AAE makes me go crazy stupid

Currently consuming: Various video essays about queer stuff, politics, and media I've never watched. Also I've been switching between playing Deltarune, great ace attorney and ace attorney: spirit of justice lately.

Currently craving: I've been thinking about milkshakes and smoothies a lot lately

˚₊· ͟͟͞➳❥ YANDERE!PERV who almost combusts when you give him a polite grin, saying ‘of course!’ and lending him a pen before focusing back on your work. To you it was a conversation you don’t think twice about, for him? It made his entire month.

˚₊· ͟͟͞➳❥ YANDERE!PERV who can’t even focus on his work as he notices the bite marks on top of your pen. your lips and teeth touched the lid…his slender fingers slowly brush the bite marks, hands quivering with delight. Even a streak of blood couldn’t compare to how red he was. He’s keeping this pen no matter what.

All of the bat children are horrified when they found out the boy Damian has been talking online, someone they were expecting to be a 5’3 twig. Someone who Damian has been crushing on for years turned out to be a 6’3 muscle-bound fucker that makes Jason look small.

They are even more horrified when they realized they never gave Damian the internet talk and for some reason Bruce is not reacting like this is something of concern and what the fuck-?!

The reason Bruce is not freaking out like the rest of his kids is quite simple.

He can see the last of the baby fat clinging to Danny’s face, he notices how even though Danny is a walking tank of a being, he still glances at the doorways like they could not be trusted.

Like he wasn’t used to his height.

No Bruce is not concerned, because all signs and research just points to one fact.

Danny Fenton has came into a Fenton-sized growth spurt.

Clown language.

I admit I personally prefer showing characters interact with each other and allowing their interaction to be interpreted as either romantic, platonic, or even nothing at all.

I think this approach makes relationships less framed by "signpost cues" of friendship/attraction/love (not that I do not enjoy seeing these either). I think it leaves more room for interesting human interactions, independent of what expectations the reader has for the two characters. Some people seem to search for actions like kissing, hugging, confessions, in order to confirm whether something was supposed to be romantic or not. But then, the absence of such cues make them arrive at conclusions that ignore other forms of relationship-building interactions all together :(

So for me, it's Schroedinger's character relationships, with a generous amount of "the true value of this relationship is the collection of interactions we have made along the way" and it doesn't need a name. So with that out of the way:
