People do NOT respond to guilt and shame very well, especially when it comes to political activism.

On one side, people do not respond well to being told that they were wrong to vote for a candidate that wasn’t left wing enough because they didn’t have any better candidate options and don’t have the time, energy, resources, or courage to risk getting arrested or killed for doing direct action. It causes feelings of guilt, shame, and resentment.

On the other side, people don’t respond to being guilted into voting for a shitty candidate out of desperation for damage control. It makes you look like a pretentious snob. They don’t like feeling as though they are being gaslighted into praising mediocrity.

End blood quantum now

Blood quantum is how much native blood you have in you and it needs to be a certain threshold to qualify you as a tribal member. Blood quantum varies from tribe to tribe.

It means my mom is a tribal member but because my dad is outside of my tribe... I don't have enough tribal blood to enroll. Neither does my daughter. Our "official" indigeneity ended with me.

My dad is still native tho. Just southern native. Others have two parents enrolled in separate tribes and can't enroll in either one despite being Full native because their parents were mixed with other tribes so they don't have enough blood of Any tribe to qualify.

And to what end are they doing this?

Under the treaties the US govt can lay no claim to native land. So how do they fix that? Get rid of the natives, of course.

And since they can't slaughter us in broad daylight anymore they did the next best thing. What the colonial government has ALWAYS done to us and other poc.

Made up a bunch of arbitrary laws to restrain and limit our power and numbers.

And this can't continue. We are the only race who needs to apply to be part of the community we were born into. The only race who needs to prove our blood.

And that's the thing: it's not even based on blood. Racist scientists defined who was a full-blooded native based on things like shoe size, head circumference, and skin pigment.

Not blood. And besides that it wasn't uncommon for outsiders to become part of a tribe!! You didn't need to be native by blood to be native! Blood quantum has made it IMPOSSIBLE for them to qualify and made it impossible for tribes to practice that long time aspect of our culture.

So please share this post. So many people legitimately think natives are extinct and even less are aware that we do more than just sit around drinking all day. Few people have good feelings about us and within that there are a few who actively help. Please be one of those few.

We need support and allies and for our voices to be heard. Please don't let this post just be me screaming into a void. We need people to know what blood quantum is, how archaic and harmful it is, and to help us spread awareness to people who otherwise would ignore us. Use your privilege.

Always an experience watching the leftism leave FNAF fans when someone mentions that Scott Cawthon financially backed fascist politicians.

The switch from posting hardline leftist tweets about boycotts and signal boosts and critical takedowns of politicians and celebrities to ‘ohhh, well. everyone makes mistakes. who can blame him, listen he. he donated money to gay charities too. that makes it ok! a millionaire in his forties is allowed to have political beliefs. does it even matter? just let it go!’ is whiplash inducing. The antivaxxer celebrities have got to go, but this one horror dev who quietly handed wads of cash to antivax lawmakers? He’s chill, he can stay.

The charity thing is so funny too because suddenly utilitarian positive-negative point counting is the way to go. Maybe an abacus would help calculate the net good of donating to the Trevor Project minus donating thousands of dollars to Mitch McConnell and Donald Trump. -10 points if I push a kid in a lake but +11 points if I help an old lady across the street, so I’m chill. You can’t judge me. Hey, maybe. Just don’t push a kid in the lake period. How fucking low is the bar when we’re excusing maxing out the possible dollar amount of donations to Mitch fucking McConnell. I gotta say, it is terrifying seeing antisemitic vandalism and imagery around the neighbourhood my family lives in, a liberal semi-suburban neighbourhood with "hate has no home here" signs and rainbow flags on pretty lawns. It's like the level of tolerance they've had for the increasing Jewish population in the area has reached a tipping point, and these liberal WASPs and WASP-adjacents have decided they can no longer tolerate having Jewish neighbours. A kosher restaurant was vandalized a couple weeks ago. A synagogue was vandalized twice within the span of a single week. My siblings have been yelled out on their way to and from synagogue on Shabbat.

I feel stupid to have ever thought we lived in a safe neighbourhood. I feel stupid to have ever thought we lived in a safe country.

I hate that jews are now the exception to every ideal the left has.

Unless you come from the country with a majority jew population (Israel) or are a diaspora jew and are being held accountable for a government which isn't even your own.

"Even if a person who is a minority is a bad person you shouldn't be bigoted towards them based on that minority identity, eg, don't misgender trans folk who are bad people, don't be racist towards a poc whose a bad person"

Unless you are a jew. Then regardless of if you are a zionist or not antisemitism is fine and actually deserved

"You shouldn't tokenize a person of a minority who says x thing isn't bigoted when the majority of that minority says it is, eg some black people who say white people can say the n word, autistic people who support autism speaks, as all opinions matter"

Unless you're a jew as jews who say x isn't antisemitic when the majority of jews say it is now is the authority on all things antisemitic and is the only opinion that matters when in general all opinions matter.

Sometimes somebody is nonbinary and they're just a normal guy without gender. And sometimes someone is nonbinary and they're someone whose deeply uncomfortable with being either gender so they need to transition to something else. And sometimes someone is nonbinary because they hate gender and want to kill it. And sometimes someone is nonbinary in an otherworldly and eldrich way like an android or a fallen angel and it makes people think they're cool. And sometimes someone is nonbinary in a whimsical and magical way like a faerie and it makes people think they're cute and charming. And sometimes those are all different people and they're that way forever. And sometimes someone is many of those at once or at diffrent times. And that's just how being nonbinary is.

What I have heard about Jewish Voice for Peace (JVP) it sounds a lot like what Autism Speaks does. In case you don't know Autism Speak is actually a hate group masquerading as an activism organization. They have little to no autistic people involved, more than 90% of the money goes to the shareholders and not support autistic people and it encourages abusing autistic family members. So it sounds like JVP has little to no Jewish people involved, supports antisemitism and encourages it.

"Today, Georgia's Senate passed House Bill 1104, an "omnibus" bill designed to consolidate several anti-transgender policies into a single piece of legislation. Additionally, the Senate will debate House Bill 1170 later this evening, which proposes adding puberty blockers to a ban on gender-affirming care already passed by the state. Both bills were attached to entirely unrelated legislation as a strategy to circumvent rules that mandate bills pass at least one chamber by a specific deadline, effectively rendering that deadline meaningless for anti-trans legislation. This weekend, it was announced that both bills would appear on the Senate calendar, and at 4 PM on Tuesday, House Bill 1104 passed on a party-line 33-21 vote. The Georgia Legislature is set to adjourn sine die on Thursday."
