The Joy of LOL: How Laughter Can Improve Your Day
Laughter is often referred to as the best medicine. It can lift our mood, ease our stress, and create a positive atmosphere. Laughter is a universal language that brings people closer together and helps us to bond with each other. Incorporating laughter into our daily activities can benefit our mental and physical health and bring joy to our lives. My daily laughter is doing yoga with my cat and watching the timelapse of my workout. They always bring a smile and make me laugh.
There are many ways to incorporate laughter into our daily activities. One of the easiest ways is to surround ourselves with people with a good sense of humor. Spending time with friends, family, or colleagues who are always cracking jokes and making us laugh can be a great way to boost our mood and reduce stress.
Another way to incorporate laughter into our daily activities is to watch a comedy show or movie. Laughing at the antics of favorite comedians or actors can help us forget about our problems and see the lighter side of life. Laughter can also be contagious, so watching something funny with others can create a positive atmosphere and bring us closer together.
Physical activities can also be a great way to incorporate laughter into our daily routine. Joining a laughter yoga class or a laughter club can be a fun way to exercise and experience the joy of laughter. These classes typically involve a series of laughter exercises and games designed to induce laughter and promote a sense of well-being.
Even small things like reading a funny book or listening to a comedy podcast can help us to incorporate laughter into our daily activities. These activities can easily integrate into our daily routine and provide a quick burst of joy and laughter.

Reader’s Digest books bring back fond childhood memories. There were three specific sections I always read first – Laughter, The Best Medicine; All in a Day’s Work; and Humor in Uniform.
Laughter provides both PHYSICAL & MENTAL health benefits. Laughter boosts the immune system, improves resistance to disease, strengthens resilience, eases anxiety and tension, and adds joy to life!  It relieves physical tension, relaxes muscles, & can temporarily relieve pain.  Laughter improves heart health & promotes an overall well-being. It strengthens relationships & helps defuse conflict. It’s hard to stay angry when laughing at a situation!
Every day provides opportunities for laughter.  Laughing at our own mishaps is a healthy way to brighten the day.
For example, how many times have you been talking to someone on your cell phone while frantically looking for your phone?
Take time each day to think about something humorous.  It can be something from today or a funny memory.  The key is practice, practice, practice!  
Begin practicing today by sharing something funny in the comments below.
