Greetings of peace! We are Bachelor of Science in Psychology 4th year students from the University of San Carlos, Cebu City, and we are currently conducting our research entitled: Psychological Distress, Family, and Peer Acceptance among the LGBTQ+ youth: A Correlational Study.

Respondents must meet the following criteria:

➤Age ranges between 18 and 25 years old.

➤Anyone of any gender who identifies as a member of the LGBTQ+ community

➤Must be out and open with their family and/or peers about their sexual orientation

Fort San Pedro; The Oldest Triangular Bastion Fort of the Philippines

Cebu boasts many beautiful things such as pristine beaches, breathtaking waterfalls, fresh and yummy seafood, and some of the most historical places in the Philippines, and one of these is Fort San Pedro.

As the oldest and smallest fort in the Philippines, Fort San Pedro was built in 1565 under the direction of Miguel Lopez de Legazpi, the country's first governor-general, to fend off Muslim pirates. Its walls are eight feet thick and twenty feet tall, forming a triangle with irregular lengths; two sides face the sea and the other land, where the current entrance gate to the fort is situated. It also has a surface area of 2,025 square meters.

Every visitor to Fort San Pedro receives a bit of the city's rich history, and it would be a fantastic excursion to showcase the events of the 17th century. You can learn about the history of the province, the Spanish monarchy, and the preservation of Spanish relics here. And the fourteen canons are still present in what is now a recreation area.

A current song is audible as one approaches the location. You are warmly welcomed to Fort San Pedro by a variety of outstanding musicians who perform this. With its joyous tune, you will be more likely to jive into the music and dance to its rhythm. It is very fun and enjoyable.

Fort San Pedro is an absolute must-see, especially for first-time visitors to Cebu, since we can enjoy the cold, invigorating air while also taking in the stunning scenery and other well-known tourist attractions from atop the fort. Also, a lot of visitors have now been to Fort San Pedro, and they have all expressed their satisfaction with it.

Miss Universe Philippines Cebu City 2023 National Costume: DAMGO SA BAYLEHAN (A countryside fairytale)

There once was a lonely scarecrow in the middle of a countryside field. All she ever wanted in life was to be able to dance at the annual county fiesta. One night a benevolent diwata, came to her and granted her wish: to be able to dance the night away, for one night only. She moved and grooved to the sound of music, and in those precious moments, nothing else mattered. She had lived all her life for that one exact moment. When daybreak came, she want back to her inanimate state, but she remained joyful for the rest of her corporeal life. As an homage to this year's central theme of AGRICULTURE, we wanted to create something magical and out of the box. We decided to ditch the decadence of dramatic detailing, and just go for a modest "storytelling" approach. This fictional interpretation, dives deep into a nostalgic longing and appreciation for the simple things in life. It is also the first time we're incorporating organic elements to the overall composition: a mix of dried botanicals really create an interesting layer of textures, resulting in nuanced shapes and forms. The tweeds and plaids really bring to mind a rustic countryside motif: a little bit shabby, a little bit chic. It gives the garment a very sartorial structure, at the same time a warm familiar character. Overall the garment is an amalgamation of various style, art, film, and literary influences, which is pretty evident through this eclectic assemblage of elements, but still manages to capture and retain the emblematic silhouette of the national terno.
