my favourite thing about chuuya nakahara is that he's just kind of. chill. about everything. he's like, my tragic backstory has no hold on me, i went to therapy and i'm all good now. i'm a bad guy cuz it pays good and my found family happens to be here. what do you mean that's not a good reason, you a cop or something?
someone will betray him and he'll go ok well that's pretty upsetting. they probably had a good reason though. i'll forgive them if they let me get a good punch in. if they're really just a hater they're giving me bad vibes and i don't wanna deal with 'em at all tbh.
things have been done to him that would warrant a lifelong crusade of revenge for anyone else, but for chuuya nakahara it's just, that was super not cool but i'll let it slide if you get therapy with me.
chuuya is down for any crime and thinks moral boundaries are for losers and stuff but he's the nicest guy in the port mafia when it comes to not mistreating his subordinates and probably helps old ladies cross the street. he shows up for a solid 10-20 minutes of screentime per season and makes all the fans fall in love with him while doing the bare minimum, and despite technically being a villain i don't think he's worked against the agency a single time (although to be fair this is often not on purpose). he also does the bare minimum every time he's asked to help in-universe and clearly isn't even trying, and he sweeps anyway because he is ridiculously overpowered and could probably kill literally everyone if he actually wanted to, and i just. no one is doing it like him. you go you unbothered king.

It sucks that I have nowhere near enough time or energy to make a fangame because I have such a good idea for a direct sequel to the Johto games and I can't stop rotating it in my brain. Anyway I just spent the last 8 hours typing up the entire plot for no particular reason
Pokemon Blaze Gold and Storm Silver
-Box mascots are Entei and Raikou, but new formes with Ho-Oh/Lugia's wings respectively plus added motifs from each Pokemon, Fire/Flying and Electric/Flying
-Regional Pokedex has all Kanto/Johto Pokemon minus the Kanto starters available, plus every new evolution to a Kanto/Johto Pokemon up to Gen 4
-Start in Camellia Town, a new town south of Route 29, loosely based on Toyohashi
-Rival 1 is your neighbour, Maya, who has major chuuni vibes, tells you Prof Elm has returned from a trip and that you should go ask him for a Pokemon, declares herself the best trainer ever despite having no Pokemon
-Start traveling to New Bark Town but get interrupted by Professor Elm upon entering the grass
-He reluctantly agrees to take you to his lab on Maya's insistence
-At his lab you meet his kid who is also his assistant, Rival 2, who is the opposite gender version of the player character. Following old traditions I'm gonna say the male character default name is Blaze and the female character default name is Storm. I'm gonna refer to the rival as Blaze going forward but it depends on your PC.
-Elm says he was going to offer one of the three to Blaze, but we can have the other two.
-Blaze gets nervous and indecisive and asks us to pick first, Maya says it doesn't matter which one they get because she will win no matter what. Maya picks the starter that's super effective against yours, Blaze picks the one it's weak to. Maya immediately challenges you to a battle.
-After you win, Maya declares that this is jist a roadblock and that she's going to take on the gym challenge and become champion. Elm gets wistful remembering the PC from the original games, and then decides to ask you to retrieve a package from another professor in Cherrygrove City.
-Route 46 now has wild Pikachu, plus a new part of Dark Cave featuring all Pokemon from the Violet City side as the original location will not be accessible until much later. Phanpy and Teddiursa are also available in their respective Crystal version locations (I have no idea why HGSS removed this inprovement). Paras is also now available on Route 30. These changes have been added so that you are not completely fucked if you didn't pick Chikorita.
-Cherrygrove City is now much larger, featuring a port, and a new Pokemon Gym. You go to the house Elm indicated but Blaze comes out and says the professor is out, and that they need to go look for him.
-On Route 30, you see Professor Oak standing in front of a cliff face dividing the route in half. He tells you that 6 years ago, a great cave suddenly sprung from the ground, causing great devastation. Nobody knows how, and it should have been impossible. He then tells you to come with him to get the parcels Elm asked for.
-Upon returning and being handed the parcels, Blaze asks you to battle him. When you win, he gets nervous and asks you what you think it takes to be a good trainer, before leaving.
-When you all return to Professor Elm, he hands you and Blaze the newest Pokedex which was in the package from Oak. He asks you to fill out the dex. After Blaze leaves to go catch Pokemon, he suggests you could try the gym challenge like Maya is.
-You run into your mother in front of the entrance to Camellia Town. After explaining the situation, she gives you the Poketch and encourages you.
-When you get to Cherrygrove Gym, Maya comes out and declares she beat the gym leader easily (though she is clearly worn out), and says she's going to get on a ferry to go take on Cianwood Gym.
-Inside, the Gym Leader, Akua, is a cheerful, portly middle-aged lady wearing a blue floral patterned sundress. Her team is a Lv12 Chinchou and a Lv14 Corsola. Upon winning, she grants you the Shore Badge.
-Upon leaving, a boat has returned to the port. You can interact with it and travel to Cianwood City. You arrive at the new Cianwood Port inside Cliff Edge Gate. However, Chuck is blocking the entrance to Cianwood City proper. He asks you to go after his son, Hurley, who ran to the Safari Zone saying something about Team Rocket - which is strange, since Team Rocket disappeared 10 years ago.
-The same Pokemon as usual are available on Routes 47/48, but only their first stages, and levelled down. Miltank has been replaced with Murkrow to make Dark-types accessible earlier in game.
-You see Hurley in front of the Safari Zone. He is a young boy with a buzzcut, tatami pants, and a sarashi chest wrap. He is surrounded by a group of Team Rocket grunts. Team Rocket are trying to kidnap all of the Pokemon out of the Safari Zone. Hurley is trying to take on all the Rocket Grunts himself. Blaze arrives and you take on two of the grunts in a double battle.
-After winning, the entrance to the Safari Zone is wrecked, so theycare trmporarily closed. Hurley thanks you for your help, and gives you the field move Poketch app for Headbutt. He tells you some of the apps need gym badges, but not this one, before announcing that he is the new Cianwood gym leader now that his dad has retired.
-You return to Cianwood City, which is now accessible, along with its gym. Hurley has a Lv18 Tyrogue and a Lv20 Heracross. Upon winning, he grants you the Storm Badge, which allows you to use the Fly app (which you will need to acquire later). The ferry is now ready to depart for Olivine City.
-At Olivine, when you pass in front of the Olivine Gym, Maya is there. They tell you they came to fight Jasmine, but she's gone travelling to Sinnoh and the gym is closed. Maya challenges you to a battle. She has a Lv18 Snubbull, a Lv19 Shellder/Bellsprout/Growlithe (whichever is weak to your starter), and a Lv22 Bayleef/Quilava/Croconaw.
-At Ecruteak City, the Gym is locked, and Morty is in the Burnt Tower. When you enter it, you run into Colress as he is leaving the building. He talks about the Legendary Beasts that were believed to have existed in this building. When you go up and speak to Morty, he says he had been having a conversation with Colress about the legends surrounding the towers. He then heads back to his Gym. Houndour is now catchable in Burnt Tower.
-The Kimono Girls can be battled as before for the Surf app, however there are now 7 of them, with the addition of Leafeon and Glaceon.
-Morty has a Lv24 Gastly, a Lv25 Misdreavus, and a Lv27 Gengar. Upon defeating him, he grants you the Fog Badge, allowing you to use the Surf app.
-The path south of Ecrutreak is blocked by a Sudowoodo, forcing you east. As you enter Route 42, Blaze appears. He says he thinks he's gotten stronger and wants to test himself against you. His team is a Lv25 Pikachu, a Lv20 Happiny, a Lv24 Oddish/Vulpix/Staryu (whichever is super effective against your starter), and a Lv27 Bayleef/Quilava/Croconaw. After you win, he says Professor Elm said to give you this, and installs the Rock Smash app on your phone.
-Upon arriving to Mahogany Town, you see that it has been levelled by the rising caves. The Gym and Pokemon Center are in disrepair, and the path to Route 44 is obstructed by a new cliff face. If you enter the one accessible house, the hermit inside will tell you everyone left when the disaster happened, and they moved to Lycoris or Ecruteak cities, and that the Gym Leader Pryce disappeared when the cave formed and hasn't been since since.
-At the Lake of Rage, two Team Rocket grunts are standing by the water. When they see you, they challenge you to a battle. After defeating them, more arrive, but they are scared off by the arrival of Silver. Silver thanks you for defeating the grunts, and introduces himself. He says he's had some experiences with Team Rocket before, and that it's troubling to see them around here. He then gives you a Squirtbottle to get past the Sudowoodo.
At this point, you can take on the next three Gym Leaders in any order you want. However, there is a firm level curve, and if you challenge the 6th one next you're likely to get your ass kicked - you are, however, free to do so. This will be following the recommended order.
-After removing the Sudowoodo, the path to Violet City and the Ruins of Alph is blocked by a risen cave, forcing you towards Goldenrod City. This area is mostly unchanged, but more houses have been made accessible, including one with a conspicuously blocked off basement. Additionally, if you enter the basement of the Pokemart, they tell you you're not allowed down there and send you back into the elevator. The radio tower has modernized, and now runs streaming content and podcasts. You can also still obtain an Eevee from Bill at his home.
-At Goldenrod Gym, Whitney has a Lv29 Clefairy, a Lv31 Furret, and a Lv33 Miltank. Upon defeating her, she grants you the Plain Badge, allowing you to use the Strength app. She has a line about how she's not gonna cry over losing any more, and tells you there's a reward at National Park for the Strength app if you win the Bug-Catching Contest (if you haven't already won it).
-The Bug Catching contest can now be played at any time, and allows you to catch as many as you like, with your final score being a point total so as to make it way easier to win. You also get to choose which Pokemon you keep at the end so you don't have to keep a bunch of fodder mons.
-When passing the Daycare, you see Maya outside. She brags about having 5 gym badges and challenges you again. She has a Lv27 Snubbull, two of Lv28 Weepinbell/Shellder/Growlithe (excluding whichever matches their starter's type), and a Lv32 Bayleef/Quilava/Croconaw. When defeated, she throws a mild tantrum about how she has more gym badges and should be stronger than you, but then corrects herself and offers you one of two eggs she was given by the daycare. Yours contains a Togepi.
-In Ilex Forest, at the Celebi shrine, you encounter a strange man with a tattered black cloak shrouding their body, extremely long white hair, and a white mask covering their entire face, although you cannot see the front of it from your position. He is talking to the shrine. "Celebi... how long has it been? To this day, I still don't understand why...". He sees you, at which point he excuses himself and leaves.
-At Azalea Gym, Bugsy, now an adult, has a Lv35 Ledian, Lv35 Ariados, and a Lv36 Scizor. Upon winning, he grants you the Hive Badge, allowing you to use the Cut app.
-As soon as you leave the gym, you hear a commotion coming from nearby. Bugsy comes out of the gym, and says that sounded like the Cut master, and that it was coming from Slowpoke Well. He heads over to see what's going on. In the Well, you see the Cut master trying to corner a Team Rocket grunt, but the grunt defeats him. You step up and battle the grunt, who then tries to escape.
-When you leave the well, the grunt is being cornered by Kurt, who says he'll never let Team Rocket mess with this well again. The grunt runs away towards Union Cave. When you get to the cave's entrance, he is nowhere to be seen, and the cave's entrance is boarded up. Kurt, Bugsy, and the Cut master all arrive and tell you he must have gone into the cave, but that we shouldn't follow him - the cave was unstable after the rest of the cave system rose from the ground, and it may still be dangerous. Kurt introduces himself and tells you about Azalea Town's history with Team Rocket, and tells you about his apricorn ball service. The Cut master thanks you by giving you the Cut app.
-Returning to the Lake of Rage, the northeast has a new path, but it's obstructed by two rocket grunts. Travelling west, though, through the maze of trees, there is now a new route, Route 49. It is a winding route, covered in trees and snow. Here, you can catch Fearow, Furret, Noctowl, Murkrow, Misdreavus, Smeargle, Sneasel, Houndour, and Delibird.
-To the west of Route 49, and north of Mt. Mortar, is Lycoris City (loosely based on Fukui). It is a snow-covered city with architecture similar to Ecruteak, with numerous beds of Spider Lillies. It is divided into two halves, with the top half being on a high raised wooden platform.
-In the north is Lycoris Shrine. It is a two-storey building in the center of the raised platform, filled with trainers and wild pokemon. Here, you can find Growlithe/Vulpix, Golbat, Gastly, Haunter, Bellsprout, Weepinbell, Natu, Murkrow, Sneasel, and Houndour.
-When you get to the far end of the top floor, you encounter Blaze. He tells you he came all this way looking for as many Pokemon as possible, and wants to show you. His team is a Lv37 Pikachu, Lv36 Chansey, two of Lv37 Gloom/Ninetales/Starmie (minus whichever is the same type as their starter), and Lv38 Meganium/Typhlosion/Feraligatr.
-Karen comes over, who tells you she used to be the gym leader here a long time ago. She says she was impressed by your battle and likes the look in your eye and expects she'll be seeing you again soon, before giving you the Fly app.
-At Lycoris Gym, the Leader is Shin, a tall person with spiky white hair, a sleeveless black turtleneck, mesh sleeves, long and sharp black nails, and baggy black jeans. Their team is a Lv37 Sneasel, Lv38 Umbreon, Lv37 Murkrow, and Lv40 Weavile. Upon winning, they grant you the Umbral Badge, which allows you to use the Whirlpool app.
-Once you have 6 badges (and have handled the Slowpoke Well incident), Silver will call you asking you if you can come to Mahogany Town. When you arrive, he is in front of the old Rocket hideout. He thanks you for coming, when suddenly Maya arrives, bragging about having 6 badges, before being shocked that you've caught up to them. They proclaim that they will be the strongest, and need to battle you to prove it. Silver interrupts saying we have more important things to worry about, and telling Maya that it's a mistake to view everything in terms of Weak and Strong.
-Silver then breaks down the door to the hideout with his Crobat, and inside we see the place full of Team Rocket members, who run down into the base. Silver comments that he thought they'd be smarter than hiding here again, and tells the two of you to follow him into the base.
-In the boss's office of the base, you encounter Proton, Petrel, Ariana, and Colress. Silver says he's shocked to see the three of them back at it, but asks who the new guy is. Colress introduces himself and says Team Rocket are his new benefactors. Petrel tells Silver that Colress is the brains behind their big new scheme, before Ariana tells him to be quiet. You battle Proton, while Maya battles Petrel and Silver battles Ariana. Proton has a Lv38 Golbat and a Lv39 Weezing.
-Upon winning, Proton says it doesn't matter, and they already got everything ready here. Petrel says they learned one thing from last time, and Colress flips a switch turning off all the lights. When they come back on, they have all vanished. Silver expresses disappointment that they couldn't catch them, and tells the two of you that he once battled Team Rocket here with two of his good friends. He then wonders what they're planning next before he takes his leave.
-Maya says it was always her dream to become the strongest, but that seeing the way Silver battled was something she never imagined. She trails off before leaving.
-The rocket grunts at the lake have now left, allowing you to take a new path heading down into Route 44, which is much the same as it always was besides the entrance to Mahogany Town being obscured.
-You travel through Ice Path into Blackthorn City, and on arriving at the front of the Blackthorn Gym, Maya shows up. She tells you that she's not sure if she really is the strongest, and that since you two are even she wants to battle you before either of you face the gym. She says to meet her in the Dragon's Den behind the gym, and she'll be waiting.
-In the shrine in Dragon's Den, you face off against Maya. She has a Lv42 Granbull, a Lv40 Rhydon, two of Lv42 Victreebel/Arcanine/Cloyster, and a Lv44 Meganium/Typhlosion/Feraligatr.
-Upon defeating her, she wonders if maybe she isn't the strongest after all. Before she can go on, Lance appears, and tells her that she's plenty strong, but strong isn't enough. Clair also arrives, and says they heard us talking outside their gym and watched our battle. Clair announces that she is the leader of Blackthorn gym, before Lance corrects her and says that they are the leaders of Blackthorn gym, and that they now battle side by side, and that they're excited to face us.
-In Blackthorn gym, you face off against Lance and Clair in a double battle. Lance has a Lv43 Gyarados and a Lv45 Dragonite, and Clair has a Lv42 Dragonair and a Lv44 Kingdra. Upon winning, the two of them bicker a bit, before giving you the Rising Badge, allowing use of the Waterfall app.
-When you exit the gym, you get a call from Professor Oak telling you there's an emergency at the radio tower and he needs our help. Immediately afterwards, Silver calls, and tells you Team Rocket are attacking Goldenrod City, and wonders to himself if they're really just trying to same plan all over again.
-When arriving to Goldenrod, the city is swarming with Rocket Grunts. The radio towers has waves of them in front of it, blocking the entrance. Silver is fighting them all off. Silver tells you he'll take care of this, and to go look for a cardkey in the underground - he know show they operate, and that we'll need it to get to the top of the tower. We go to look for it, however the Pokemart and the Underground are both blocked by Rocket grunts. Blaze and Maya are both here, battling rocket grunts at each of the entrances.
-Heading into the house that had the suspicious basement passage from earlier, you are immediately confronted with a rocket grunt, who accidentally gives away that this is the new secret entrance to the underground system. You then battle your way through the underground, where you eventually encounter Petrel, who has the keycard. He has two Lv40 Koffings and a Lv42 Weezing. Upon defeat, he runs away, dropping the keycard.
-You can then leave via any of the three exits, where you can see Blaze and Maya have defeated their respective batches of grunts. You head into the radio tower, now accessible, and give Silver the keycard. He heads upstairs. You encounter Proton and Ariana, but before they can stop you, Maya arrives. Silver says to fight them while he heads upstairs and deals with their leader. You and Maya enter a double battle. Proton has a Lv40 Golbat, a Lv39 Qwilfish, and a Lv42 Weezing. Ariana has a Lv40 Arbok, a Lv41 Vileplume, and a Lv42 Honchkrow.
-Upon defeating them and heading upstairs, you see that Silver has firmly defeated Archer. However, Archer makes a break for it, running outside of the building. Outside, you see Blaze, who tells you they saw Archer run towards Ilex Forest.
-In Ilex Forest, you encounter Archer at the shrine, where you challenge him. He has a Lv40 Houndour, a Lv43 Weezing, a Lv42 Ariados, and a Lv45 Houndoom.
-Upon defeating him, Silver, Maya, and Blaze arrive. Silver tells him to give up, but Archer tells him that this was a trick to buy time while the broadcast was uploading. You then get an alert on your Poketch showing you the radio tower has a live stream - you cut to the video, and you see a man shrouded in a tattered black cloak, with long white hair, and a white mask covering his face... with the Team Rocket emblem over the mask. It's the man you saw here, in Ilex Forest. He begins a speech, telling everyone that he believed that Team Rocket was done when Giovanni left - however, the broadcast 10 years ago inspired them to take up his mantle. He calls himself Rocket Mask, and declares that he is the new boss of Team Rocket. He informs them that they have plans in motion that will enable them to achieve total domination, and invites anyone who abandoned their cause to return to them to fulfil their destiny. He tells them that the Mahogany Town base is compromised, but that they should know where to go. The stream ends.
-Archer says he's completed his work, and it doesn't matter if you take him in. He tries to eacape anyway, but suddenly... Looker turns up. He apologizes to Silver for taking so long to arrive, and captures Archer. They all briefly talk about who the strange man in the mask could be. Archer refuses to tell them anything, and is hauled away by Looker. Silver thanks you for your help, and gives you the Flash app for your help. He tells you to head to Violet City through the Dark Cave.
-As everyone leaves, you begin to walk away, but suddenly hear something. Celebi floats down in front of you, before hovering over their shrine. The space in front of you begind to warp, and you are shown a vision of Rocket Mask at the shrine, with the four Rocket Execs beside him. He tells them that this shrine belongs to Celebi, and that it is thanks to them that they can begin their glorious return. Celebi then disappears, returning everything to normal.
-You fly back to Blackthorn City, and travel through the Dark Cave to Violet City. Falkner is currently out, at the Sprout Tower. You battle your way through Sprout Tower, and once you meet Falkner at the top, he returns to his gym.
-At Violet City Gym, you face Falkner, who has a Lv45 Noctowl, a Lv44 Fearow, a Lv46 Dodrio, a Lv47 Togetic, and a Lv48 Pigeot. Upon defeating him, you are granted the Zephyr Badge, allowing use of the Rock Climb app.
-Upon leaving, Professor Elm calls you and asks if you can come back to his lab. When you get there, he gives you the Waterfall app, and upon finding out you have all 8 badges, suggests you go to the Pokemon League. Before you leave, Blaze arrives, and says they've been watching us, watching Maya, and that they think they've learned from us and our bond with our Pokemon what a good trainer is. They challenge us to one last battle. Their team is a Lv48 Raichu, a Lv48 Blissey, a Lv47 Espeon, two of Lv48 Bellossom/Ninetales/Starmie, and a Lv50 Meganium/Typhlosion/Feraligatr. When you win, he thanks you, and declares that they're going to take on the gym challenge as well.
-You travel through the way to the Elite Four the same as in the original games. Just before entering to face the Elite Four, Maya stops you. She says she's been thinking about what Silver told her, and that maybe she had been wrong to focus on being the strongest. She asks you to battle her again to help her figure it out. Her team is a Lv50 Granbull, a Lv50 Rhyperior, a Lv49 Umbreon, two of Lv51 Victreebel/Arcanine/Cloyster, and a Lv52 Meganium/Typhlosion/Feraligatr. After you beat her, she thanks you, and says that she realizes that instead of trying to be the strongest, she should just try and be the best that she can be... which meand THEN she'll be the strongest! (never change, Maya).
-As you enter the Elite Four, the first member you face is Brock. He has a Lv50 Golem, a Lv51 Kabutops, a Lv51 Omastar, a Lv51 Onix, and a Lv52 Aerodactyl.
-The second member is Will. He has a Lv51 Hypno, a Lv52 Girafarig, a Lv52 Slowking, a Lv53 Exeggutor, and a Lv54 Xatu.
-The third member is Misty. She has a Lv53 Politoed, a Lv54 Cloyster, a Lv53 Azumarill, a Lv53 Vaporeon, and a Lv55 Starmie.
-The fourth member is Karen. She has a Lv54 Umbreon, a Lv55 Honchkrow, a Lv56 Weavile, a Lv56 Gengar, and a Lv58 Houndoom.
-As you head up the long staircase to face the champion, the ground suddenly begins to shake, and the lights momentarily go out. You continue to climb the stairs, but when you reach the door at the top, it won't open. As you head back down, a gang of Team Rocket grunts swarm in. They tell you that the building is surrounded, and they're going to keep the Elite Four incapacitated while they carry out their plan. They begin to back you into a corner, but suddenly, Celebi appears. The world around you begins to warp. Suddenly, the Team Rocket grunts have disappeared, and everything seems to be normal.
-You head into the Champion's room and see... Lance? But wasn't he a gym leader now? He seems just as confused as you are, since there wasn't anyone challenging the league. After you explain about Celebi, he tells you that he has heard the myth of a time travelling Pokemon, and that maybe you've been sent back in time. You leave the building with Lance.
-As he begins to wonder how to return you to your own time, he gets a call from Silver. Silver tells him that the Pokemon are going crazy near the Ruins of Alph, and that there are some strange signals being picked up on the Poketch. Lance takes you to Violet City, however as you head to the Ruins of Alph, a great quake begins. The ground begins rising in front of you. You hear a great cry, and you are seperated from Lance as the ground beneath your feet lifts, turning into a new cave. It's six years ago, and the disaster is occuring before your eyes.
-From the Ruins of Alph, you see something fly away. As the sunlight clears, you see Entei/Raikou (the opposite of the boxart legendary) soaring into the sky on wings, surrounded by Unown. Its emits a great glow, and its wings seem to burst into flames/lightning. It falls onto the new cliff face in front of you, now in its original form. As it stares us down, Celebi returns, warping us back to our own time, in Ilex Forest, before disappearing.
-We immediately get a call from Blaze, who is asking if we're okay and is confused that we're in Ilex Forest. They heard that Team Rocket is staging an assault on Indigo Plateau. Suddenly, the same signal starts coming through the Poketch that did six years ago. A broadcast comes on, and you can see Rocket Mask once again making an announcement. He states that six years ago, he failed. But this time, he will succeed. Celebi has shown him the way, and soon, Team Rocket will have the key to world domination.
-You head to the entrance to Union Cave, now unblocked. As soon as you enter, you see Suicune. It roars at you, before running into the cave. You travel through its underground passages, and make your way into the Ruins of Alph.
-The ruins now have a large pillar in the centre, which you seemingly have no way to access. As you head into the ruins, you see Suicune again, at a wall. Suddenly, Unown surround them, and a portion of the wall disappears, revealing a hidden passageway.
-As you get to the end of the passageway, and enter the pillar in the center of the ruins, and see Colress and Rocket Mask. Colress seems alarmed to see you. Rocket Mask asks how you got here, but remarks that it doesn't matter. The screen pans, and you can see Entei/Raikou (your box legendary), surrounded by two chains of Unown, spinning around them like a gyroscope.
-He explains that ever since a fateful encounter with Suicune, he had sought the power of the legendary beasts. 10 years ago, when Team Rocket made their broadcast, he was ashamed to have left them when Giovanni first disbanded the team. To find out that they had even been operating in his old secret hideout brought him great shame. After the news of their defeat broke, he went on a journey. In Ilex Forest, he was suddenly approached by Suicune, and feared Suicune was going to attack him. Suddenly, Celebi arrived, and teleported him back through time, showing him his glory days in Team Rocket as Giovanni's right-hand man. He decided then that this was a sign - that he needed to bring back Team Rocket, and that the Legendary Beasts were how he would do it.
Six years ago, he was approached by Colress, who had experimented with Pokemon before, and had heard of his interest in the beasts. He knew that they had a master who had created them, a legendary Pokemon named Ho-Oh. If they were created by Ho-Oh, they could use its power. By utilizing the power of the Unown, he believed he could combine their power - with a Rainbow Wing/Silver Wing. However, they only used one chain of Unown - they needed two. The beast they captured six years ago broke free, and unleashing their full power caused them to send that energy through the land, reshaping it. While they lost both the beast and the wing, they discovered that there was a second wing - that the Silver Wing was not actually from Ho-Oh, but from Lugia, a Pokemon whose power mirrored Lugia, and that they could use the Silver Wing instead/that they had the wrong wing, and that the Rainbow Wing was needed. Now they have obtained the second wing, and captured another beast.
After their failure six years ago, they felt tremendous shame. Not just for their failure, but for the damage they did. They even destroyed their own town. After that, they could never go back. They had to see this through to the end. They took up the mantle of Rocket Mask, and decided nothing would stop them from taming the beast - least of all, you.
-Rocket Mask removes their mask, revealing themselves to be none other than Pryce, the former leader of the Mahogany Town gym. While Colress finishes combining the beast's power with the wing, Pryce challenges you. He has a Lv55 Weavile, a Lv57 Dewgong, a Lv56 Piloswine, a Lv57 Cloyster, and a Lv59 Mamoswine.
-Upon defeating him, he says it no longer matters - the beast is complete. The Unown chains spin faster, and emit a great glow. The ground begins to shake, and then... suddenly, it ends. The Unown are floating freely, and Entei/Raikou is before you, in the air, flapping its wings. Pryce is amazed, and orders Entei/Raikou to come to him. It roars, and ignores his order. Pryce is shocked and indignant, and demands an explanation from Colress, who doesn't understand why the Unown chains broke apart - they were key to controlling it. Entei/Raikou attacks them, sending them both reeling. It floats before you, waiting.
-You challenge Entei/Raikou, Lv60. Capture or defeat it.
-Once captured/defeated, Pryce demands an explanation, and says he couldn't have been wrong. Suddenly, Celebi descends. It shows Pryce his past again - this time, the day he left Team Rocket. It shows him coming to terms with moving on, and looking forward to the future. Pryce then begins to wonder if he had made a mistake this whole time.
-Suddenly, Looker flies in! He challenges Pryce, before realizing that he has already been defeated. Pryce agrees to come quietly. Colress slips away unnoticed.
-Suddenly, Maya, Blaze, and Professor Elm all fly in seperately. They congratulate you on taking them down, and you all head home together. Roll credits.
-Upon resuming, Maya comes to your house, informing you that the league is shut down at the moment to repair the damage Team Rocket did, and that in the meantime we should go and challenge the Kanto gym leaders!
-You head to Cherrygrove City and take the ferry to Vermillion. When you arrive, Looker is there, and thanks you again for your help taking down Team Rocket. However, the three remaining admins are at large, and they believe they are somewhere in Kanto.
-With one exception, the gyms can now be faced in any order. However, two of them require specific events first. The rest, in no particular order:
-Lt. Surge has a Lv56 Raichu, a Lv57 Electrode, a Lv57 Magneton, and a Lv58 Electivire
-Sabrina has a Lv58 Mr. Mime, a Lv58 Slowbro, a Lv59 Espeon, and a Lv62 Alakazam
-Janine has a Lv55 Ariados, a Lv57 Venomoth, a Lv56 Weezing, and a Lv58 Crobat
-Cinnabar Island has a new artificial extension to keep the town proper out of volcano range, and have fully revuilt the town over the water. Blaine has a Lv58 Rapidash, a Lv58 Arcanine, a Lv57 Magcargo, and a Lv60 Magmortar
-Flint, Brock's father (yes, like in the anime) has taken over Pewter Gym. He has a Lv57 Forretress, a Lv57 Magneton, a Lv58 Skarmory, and a Lv60 Steelix.
-Erika is not at her Gym in Celadon - she can instead be found in front of the disused casino. She is speaking to Looker about Team Rocket sightings in the area. She will not battle you until after all of Team Rocket are fought. If you go inside the Casino, you can find Rocket's original base is in use again, and the rest of the rockets are hiding there. You and Looker go through and find Proton and Ariana there. You battle them. Proton has a Lv55 Golbat, a Lv57 Qwilfish, and a Lv57 Weezing. Ariana has a Lv60 Arbok, a Lv59 Vileplume, and a Lv61 Honchkrow. Looker captures them and takes them away. On their desk, you can see a plan to take over the Power Plant. If you head there, you find Petrel, the last Rocket, skulking around in front. He has three Weezings, Lv60, Lv61, and Lv62. Once defeated, he agrees to come quietly, and Looker thanks you for your assistance. You can now fight Erika.
-Erika has a Lv60 Jumpluff, a Lv61 Victreebel, a Lv61 Vileplume, a Lv60 Bellossom, and a Lv64 Tangrowth.
-In Mt. Moon, you encounter a young girl digging for fossils. She has beige overalls, a braided black ponytail, a hard hat, thick gardening gloves, a white dirt-stained tank top, thick round glasses, and freckles. She tells you her name is Bonnie, and says you're welcome to one of the fossils she's just dug up. At that moment, Maya arrives and tells you she already has 6 of the Kanto badges, but can't find the other two gym leaders. She then challenges you to a battle. She has a Lv64 Granbull, a Lv65 Espeon, a Lv64 Rhyperior, two of Lv65 Victreebel/Arcanine/Cloyster, and a Lv66 Meganium/Typhlosion/Feraligatr. After you beat her, Bonnie offers you both a fossil (you pick between Dome and Helix) and she awkwardly says that she's acfually the new Viridian City Gym Leader, and heads back to her gym. You can now challenge her.
-Bonnie has a Lv63 Quagsire, a Lv64 Pupitar, a Lv64 Donphan, a Lv65 Gliscor, and a Lv67 Nidoqueen.
-Upon passing the front of Cerulean Gym, Lorelei will appear. She informs you that this gym is closed now that Misty is in the E4. She retired from the Elite Four years ago to look after her home in the Sevii Islands, but got offered the Gym Leader position here. She arranged for a new gym to be made in the Sevii Islands instead, and to come visit her once you have the other 7 badges. You can travel there from Vermillion.
-At Lorelei's gym on Four Island, you can battle her once you have the other 7 Kanto badges. She has a Lv65 Delibird, a Lv66 Dewgong, a Lv67 Jynx, a Lv67 Glaceon, and a Lv68 Lapras. Once defeated, she grants you the Snow Badge.
-With 16 Badges, you are ready to take on the league again.
-As before, the first member you face is Brock. He has a Lv67 Golem, a Lv68 Kabutops, a Lv68 Omastar, a Lv69 Steelix, a Lv69 Rhyperior, and a Lv70 Aerodactyl.
-The second member is Will. He has a Lv69 Hypno, a Lv70 Wobbuffet, a Lv70 Girafarig, a Lv70 Slowking, a Lv70 Exeggutor, and a Lv71 Xatu.
-The third member is Misty. She has a Lv70 Politoed, a Lv69 Cloyster, a Lv70 Azumarill, a Lv71 Vaporeon, a Lv71 Golduck, and a Lv73 Starmie.
-The fourth member is Karen. She has a Lv71 Umbreon, a Lv72 Honchkrow, a Lv71 Weavile, a Lv72 Gengar, a Lv73 Muk, and a Lv74 Houndoom.
-Finally, you climb the stairs up to the champion, once again. No interruptions from Team Rocket this time. You open the door.
-Silver greets you. He thanks you for yoir work in defeating Team Rocket, and says he doesn't know what would have happened if you hadn't been there. He apologizes for not being able to fight last time, but as the Pokemon League Champion, he will hold nothing back. Silver has a Lv74 Crobat, a Lv73 Weavile, a Lv74 Magnezone, a Lv76 Gengar, a Lv75 Alakazam, and a Lv78 Tyranitar.
-As you defeat him, he congratulates you, and says he knew you had it in you. That he hadn't faced a trainer like you in a decade. He takes you to the hall of fame, and swears you in as the new Pokemon League Champion.
Roll credits, again.
-Finally, as champion, you now have access to Mt. Silver. And who is on top the mountain... but Ethan/Lyra, standing in the spot where they once defeated Red. They say nothing. The battle begins. They have a Lv82 Red Gyarados, a Lv81 Ampharos, a Lv83 Meganium, a Lv83 Typhlosion, a Lv83 Feraligatr, and a Lv85 Togekiss.

Listen I know the wall husbands heads are full of concrete but I'm interested in what you could do with a black templar
Maybe having a cleric darling (Thinking more of a lay person vs someone like a sister of battle) so there can be some delicious religious subtext
But I also know some black templars are very much into seeing when normal baseline humans can overcome the odds and rise above with their own zeal.
Maybe she isn't a combatant but by the God Emperor she will help out however she can even if it is just passing him boltgun magazines.
I got ideas for Black Templars but they're all over the place! Maybe you can make more sense of my ramblings and since it's still on the brain it could be Yandere or not just however you can make a Black Templar with a Darling work

Author's Note: So... I went apeshit. I apologize. I just fucking love doing religious subtext and whatnot. Also the frail maiden with her knight. Combining them? Awooga. Like this is my dream prompt. I hope you enjoy.
Summary: His thumb presses against your lips, and your mouth opens. You can taste the metal on your tongue, like bitter iron. His hand despite being so inhumanly large is so dextrious and gentle, and the thoughts that enter your mind are sickening.
Relationships: Unnamed Black Templar/Fem!Reader (there aren't pronouns used but the lady/knight vibe is super intense)
Warnings: A smidge lewd but not NSFW, Vague traditional gender roles-like talk (being gentle/needing to be protected etc), Religious under(over)tones, Forbidden romance undertones, Vague yandere/yandere beginnings, Armor kink if you squint, Brief mentions of blood and murder, General 40kness

Ceramite boots thud against the floor like the thunder overhead, echoing in the high, vaulted ceilings.
He hears a tile crack underneath his right boot as he shifts his weight onto it mid-step.
He was always heavier than his brothers. His armor had to be adjusted three different times to fit him as he outgrew it.
'Leave him, he’s off to go for his prayers, and to stalk the locals.’
His one battle brother had laughed at the other’s comment, as he left them all behind to return to the cathedral. It's far from his first time here, in these sanctified halls. He finds himself returning here after almost every patrol, every outing, every moment alone.
His armor shifts with his movement, and he rolls his left shoulder during his walk. He’s had the armor fixed after a stray round hit him in the shoulder, but it still feels off. Like the motion is ever so slightly delayed in comparison to his other interface ports.
He'll get it looked at again. For now he has a different pursuit.
It’s the dead of the night, moon high in the sky as he walks through the nave past pews filled with nothing but air. At this time of night he knows it will only be you here, keeping candles lit and rolling scrolls. A stray servoskull might flutter past every now and again, but other than that, you remain in complete solitude.
No distractions, no needless fluff. You're always busy, fluttering about, making yourself useful where you can. You aren't able to fight, not this threat, but your obedience in cleaning armor- weapons when an Astartes allows- and other such duties has earned you enough to stay where your fellows have left.
Many of the other human refugees have been shipped off at this point, to become the Militarium's logistical problem. You and a few others however have earned your keep. At least in the eyes of the Black Templars.
You'll be far safer here than in a Militarium camp stuffed in with hundreds to thousands of others; Like animals waiting to be shipped off world.
You'll be far safer here with him.
There you are. He can spot you from across the cathedral, and a part of him wonders why it has such an effect on him. His hearts beat faster and his neck tenses; It feels like how he does whenever he's about to fight, but also distinctly different. It almost makes him feel like he's sick from an illness he can't explain.
The moment you hear him however, knowing the sound of an astartes this late and this far away from his brothers could only be him, your back straightens. You've been leaning over for awhile, and your body makes uncooperative cracks as you stand at his approach.
He stops in front of you, at the bottom of the ambulatory steps that rise up to the main altar. You stand at the top of them, quickly moving aside so he can come closer. When he does, you can feel his gaze through the lens of his helmet. It always feels heavy, even when his helmet isn't tilted you way you swear you can feel whenever his eyes are on you.
With both hands he unseals his helmet with a soft hiss, grasping it by the rim before handing it to you. It’s almost too heavy for your grip, but you manage to hold it close to your chest and avoid dropping it. Meanwhile he takes a knee, elbow on his knee as he drops his head in prayer.
His chainsword shifts on his back, over top of a long, tattered cape that's stained with mud and blood at the bottom hem. Astartes don't leave their armor during war, and so the cloth holds the weeks long stench of iron and rotting flesh. It simply burns however, until a few minutes later and then you can no longer smell. For the best, more than likely.
The cathedral is cast in complete silence, his shoulders shifting underneath plates of ceramite. He always is whenever he prays, unlike his brothers in the few times you've seen them. Perhaps it's just a quirk of his. Or maybe they're the odd ones.
Then again, they aren't the ones visiting an empty cathedral in the dead of night, only to meet a single person. Over and over again.
When he rises, he gently takes his helmet from your hands and latches it onto his belt. You speak up for the first time since he appeared.
"Have you made good progress out there? The weather seems to only be getting worse."
He looks down at you; His short, hastily chopped hair dry and pressed in odd places from the pressure of his helmet. It's mostly dry now, but you can tell it was wet not long ago. He must've taken his helmet off in the rain and was instantly soaked to the bone.
"The Emperor watches over us. We will prevail despite the deluge."
Said deluge batters on the tall glass windows of the cathedral, and thunder cracks not much later. The sound gives you a momentary jolt. This particular storm has been going all day, but the area has been battered with rainstorms for weeks now on and off. It might not slow them down, but you can see dried chunks of mud where they've had to trudge through it to progress. Most of it is washed away on him now, the rain having cleaned his armor significantly.
Your hands grasp each other tightly, no longer having his helmet to act as some sort of grounding.
"I tried to pray like you do, this morning." His eyes noticeably brighten ever the slightest, as your voice echos in the empty cathedral. "I wanted to pray to the Emperor that you stayed safe out there."
You don't know if he finds it amusing; But the corner of his mouth quirks upward ever so slightly anyways.
"Then pray for our victory, not our safety. What matters is that we succeed," He states.
You hear the mechanics in his armor shift as he leans slightly more on his left leg than right. It's like the armor is simply an extension of himself, and you suppose it is.
He is the first astartes you've even seen, so your knowledge is sparse. A small part of you has so many questions you'd wish to ask him, not knowing if he'd even entertain you with an answer.
You're fascinated by him; You wonder if he thinks the same of you. The way he acts lends you to think so, but you don't know how to feel about it.
In the corner of your eye you notice movement, and turn to the right just a bit and see someone walking across the nave. But when they catch sight of you and one of the Black Templars, the scurry out of the main hall like death was on their heels.
It isn't the first time someone has made a conscious effort to avoid you, now that you have an astartes taking such an interest in you. People are keen to spend as little time around them as possible- as despite them being the primary source protecting you all, they have more than displayed their fickle nature. One misspoken word and you could be gone. It's happened before. You know of a few faces that have disappeared with little a word.
You must look away from him for too long, as suddenly his armored hand grasps your jaw, turning your face back to him. The awkward angle due to his height makes your neck ache, and you grasp at the seams of his gauntlet for any sort of support.
"Are you going to try and run like they did?"
He says, watching you like he's looking for something more than a simple answer.
You wonder what he sees. If he notices the way your heart has begun to race in fear and something else, as he overtakes your vision. That something else was only for those rare moments of solitude where your reasoning left you, and your mind wandered to areas it shouldn't. If you'd known any better, you might've thought such things were blasphemous, or something of the sort.
Suddenly, you remember that he's waiting for an answer; You watch as the scars on his face move when he shifts his jaw.
"No."
He takes a step closer and with no more room your back presses against the altar just behind you. You risk nearly bending over it from how close he is, his dominant leg taking root just close enough that your legs have to part to let his knee past.
The shadow of the window mullions decorate the back of his armor, the light making the shadows against his face even harsher. You can even see the shadows of large rain droplets against his pauldrons, sliding down as if they've actually fallen on him. You can hear them hit the glass as the wind whistles outside and rattles the glass.
You watch him wondering; His eyes and face are completely unreadable. Astartes are so stoic, any little emotion is held invisible deep within themselves. Trying to figure out what he's thinking is an impossible task, though it's clear the interest he has in you is no longer just curiosity. That thought makes your heart pound against your chest as if it's trying to escape, your blood hot.
His thumb presses against your lips, and your mouth opens. You can taste the metal on your tongue, like bitter iron. His hand despite being so inhumanly large is so dextrious and gentle, and the thoughts that enter your mind are sickening.
It feels like he's toying with you; Experimenting with something new as he watches the way your soft skin gives under his armor. Your hands and gentle skin have faint crumbles of candle wax and ink on them from your work, as they grasp his armor.
You're terrified. You want more of him. You'll be happy to burn if that's what it requires.
"You'll come with me, when we are finished here."
You whisper his name, telling him yes as if you were foolish enough to think you had a choice in the matter. No one but him is here to hear it.
If someone was you wouldn't be able to see them from the way his massive armored form overtakes almost all of your vision, swallowing you in a sea of shadow and pitch black armor. They would see as he leans down, his thumb leaving your lips. You can feel his hot breath on your skin. The way he almost seems to suffocate you with how much of his body looms over you, just to get close. You can hear your own heartbeat so you just know he can, his eyes dilated and nearly total black.
Your back hurts pressing against the edge of the altar, feeling vulnerable underneath his unreadable stare. The fabric of your clothing bunches in places and rises up on your body, catching on the seams of his leg plates. His armor might be cold, but astartes run hot; Like their blood is boiling, so beneath that metal chill is the heat from the skin visible on his face and neck. You think if the cathedral was any colder, his hot breath would be visible.
His lips hover over yours, brushing as if he's so thoroughly detailing every step of this. Savoring each moment, or perhaps just toying with you. Watching the way a human so much smaller than him writhes under his grip at his mercy. You want to finish it, but the hand clamped around your jaw won't allow you, as much as you want to yearn and beg and plead to k-
'Brother. Return from toying with the refugees, the chaplain has returned with an update.'
Suddenly audible is a deep voice shaken by vox distortion emanating from his helmet; His head turns ever so slightly in it's direction. The bow of his upper lip brushes over yours as he does so. His brow furrows and he seems visibly irritated, interrupted during the worst possible time. You are as well, though it's more of desperation as you try to silence the way the your body aches for just him.
But as quick as it had begun it all ends, as he rises to his full height and removes his hand from your jaw. It complains with the promise of a hefty bruising, as he uses the same gauntlet to one handed slip his helmet back onto his head.
You can feel him stare at you even through the lenses, as he shifts in his armor and walks past where you stand splayed against the altar, clothes a mess. Your legs wobble as if about to give out from underneath you without his support, a weight like a rock in your lower belly.
He walks down the ambulatory in silence and leaves you alone once more, but you know it won't be for long.

Scherzo (a Barón Tovar Takes a Wife one-shot)
3.1K / Bridgerton AU Regency!Pero Tovar x fem!reader
Tumblr media
Scherzo - a short composition – sometimes a movement from a larger work such as a symphony or a sonata
Summary: Your husband takes care of you when you get hurt during your travels.
Warnings: None! All fluff, though reader gets cheeky with her husband cause I mean, it's Pero? Protective!Pero, Soft Husband!Pero (I NEED HIM). A little bit of violence is described where reader gets physically hurt, nothing graphic.
A/N: This was written for @morallyinept's Flora & Fauna challenge; please see #jettsflora&faunachallenge for all the other amazing works by some wonderful authors (I didn't do much with the meanings of the flowers, was just going for ✨vibes✨ - hope it's okay!). I tend to always miss my babies after I complete their series, and can't help but write little one-shots for them to see what they're up to. This is our Regency couple from Barón Tovar Takes a Wife, but you don't need to read it (although it would be cool if you did - I'm kind of proud of this one 😭) - just know our happy Barón and Baronesa are doing what they love the most, which is travelling on the high seas together.
Beautiful Bridgerton inspired dividers by @saradika-graphics 🥰

Truth be told, Naples is not one of Pero’s favourite places to visit in Italy; the Barón much preferred the rolling vineyards of Tuscany or the cultural diversity of Milan.  At least it will be a short stay, too short to even arrange for lodging in the city; it was much easier for everyone on the ship to remain staying in their onboard quarters while he oversaw some Royal fleet business with the Italians.  It would be just three short weeks before they're set to raise the sails again, this time charting a course up the western Italian coast to the Civitavecchia Port of Rome.  He realizes the last time the two of you were in Rome had been when you said your final goodbyes in his youth, parting ways and not meeting again for over ten years; Pero looks forward to strolling the cobblestone streets together once more, this time with you as his bride.
In the meantime, he would try to expedite the matter before him – if the Italian dignitary sitting across from him would acquiesce, perhaps he can still save enough of the day to take you to do some sightseeing before nightfall.  Just as the stout man’s mustache twitches at something he’s read on the document Pero gave him, someone bursts into the office, violently banging open the door.
Recognizing one of his trusted footmen, Pero exclaims, “Miguel, could this wait?  Signor Romano and I are in the middle of something.”
“No!” cries Miguel, alarmingly, “My apologies, Barón!  It is the Baronesa...”
Pero reacts with blinding speed, his chair knocked to the ground from the force with which he stands, “What has happened?!”
“There was a commotion in the square, my lord.  Your wife was hur-”
Pero is already out the door, running as fast as he can towards the city square where he knows you and your lady's maid, Lucia, had planned to do some exploring while he was away at meetings.  Wind rushing past his ears, he can hear behind him the faint thundering footsteps of Miguel the footman trying to keep up with his master.
When he gets to the square, Pero is stunned to find it in a mild state of chaos – several shops have been vandalized and an overwhelming number people seem to be in a state of mild panic, crying.  He scans the crowd and when he finally spots you, he nearly falls to his knees.  You’re sitting on the ground next to Lucia who is crying loudly, comforting her the best you can; and while Lucia is clearly emotionally distraught, she appears to be physically unharmed - the same cannot be said for you.  Your dress is torn in several places and covered in blood; whose blood Pero does not know, but he realizes, stomach dropping, that some of it at least must be yours when he sees the long bleeding cut down your left forearm.  Your beautiful face has at least one messy scrape across your cheek that he can see even at this distance and your lip looks like it’s starting to discolour and swell.
You spot Pero when he is a but few steps away and instantly feel a wave of relief wash over you at the sight of your strong, handsome husband (though you do hate to see the look of panic and terror on his face).  Dropping down to your side, Pero immediately cups your face in his warm, bear paw hands, careful not to disturb any of your injuries, “Dulce!  How are you?”
You don’t want to tell Pero that your heart is still beating fast from how scared you had felt during the stampede, or how the cuts on your arm and face sting and that your sides and back have started to ache.  You know that doing so will only make him feel worse - but you’ve never lied to your husband in all the years you’ve known him so you simply say, truthfully, “Better now that you’re here, Pero.”  Melting into the soft tender kiss he presses to your mouth, you try not wince when his soft lips meet your bruised ones but fail miserably.  Trying not to shatter in front of you when he hears your pained whimper, Pero wills himself to pull back with a silent reminder to handle you with more care; as he starts to check over your injuries, he asks delicately, “What happened, mi amor?”
One of the sailors who had joined the footmen in accompanying you and Lucia starts to explain before he’s silenced by a glowering look from your husband; Baronesa Tovar is not a woman who needs others to speak for her.
You give the poor sailor a reassuring smile before drawing Pero’s attention back to you and recount for him what happened in the square earlier.  Noticing that the Barón's hands have been cold in the mornings as of late, you had headed out today with a mission to purchase your husband some gloves made with the fine leather craftsmanship that the Italians are known for.  While admiring the buttery softness of a pair of large leather gloves handed to you by a lovely stall merchant, a fight had broken out across the square between a mob of over twenty large and angry Italian men.  The fighting horde continued their bout while moving across the square, barreling into families and unsuspecting people just trying to go about their day.  Caught unawares, the pedestrians scattered and ran panicked in an effort to get out the way of the oncoming melee.  The fleeing crowd had ran in your direction and you and Lucia could not get out of the way fast enough – pushed down to the ground, in your attempt to shield Lucia as the two of you tried to crawl to the side of the street and away from the mob, your dress had been torn by the flurry of feet as runners stampeded, your body kicked more than once.  At one point, someone had produced a pistol and shot at several buildings; and while that effectively ended the fight, several windows had shattered and some of the errant glass had fallen and cut your arm.
Pero feels absolutely sick at the picture his mind conjures of you being physically pushed and kicked, imagining how scared you must have been; he wants nothing more than to sweep you into his arms and comfort you, but without knowing the extent of your injuries, he settles for pressing his forehead to yours and whispering that everything will be okay now.  You believe him.
With some difficulty, Pero helps you stand and brings you back to the ship; both of you agreeing that when the doctor is called, it should be to the safety and comfort of your own quarters.  Though ever gentle with you, the fearsome scowl on Pero’s face clears a path from the square down to the docks – the deep furrow of his brow accentuating the faded scar over his left eye, as if to challenge anyone who would get between his wife and her safe haven.  Calling out for medical supplies and hot water as soon as he’s onboard, Pero leads you to your chambers and sits you on your shared bed before falling to his knees in front of you.  Slumping, tension in his strong frame finally dissolving, Pero lays his head in your lap and lets a few tears fall at the relief of finally getting you back home, safe.  You stroke your husband’s soft curls lovingly, understanding all of him and letting his devotion wash over you - it brings you a calm that you haven’t felt for several hours now.
In silence, you let Pero tend to your cuts and scrapes, eyes never leaving his handsome face as you watch him concentrate on being gentle with his big, sometimes clumsy hands.  Pero washes your face and hands, wiping away all evidence of the time you spent on the hard stone streets of the square, then takes care to thoroughly clean your injuries.  When you hiss at the sting from the salve he applies to the cut on your arm, Pero murmurs, “Be good for me, Baronesa,” and distracts you momentarily from the pain with that sweet smile of his that he knows makes you melt.
Finally comes the point that Pero has been dreading; he undresses you carefully to tend to the injuries on your body, hoping none will be too serious.  Once he has you stripped to the barest of your undergarments, he takes in the bruising that’s starting to show on your legs, hips and back and thinks he might cry again; his beautiful wife, so brave and strong – he cannot believe you sustained these injuries and still allowed him to move you about as he has without complaint.  As if reading his mind, you run a finger through your husband’s scruff that you love so much and try to lighten his mood; nodding towards your discarded dress on the floor, you joke, “I do not think I will be wearing that dress again.”
Half serious, Pero replies, “I think I will bring it to the Polizia tomorrow, when I demand answers for how they allowed what happened in the square to transpire.”
“Pero.”
“Or we throw it over the side of the ship,” he shrugs, a little bit a light returning back to his eyes when he sees your good humour is unscathed; permitting himself to hold you close, Pero breathes his first calm breath since Miguel interrupted his meeting, inhaling your soft perfume.  Seeing Pero in a better mood instantly lifts your spirits, and while in the safety of his loving arms, you give him a playful little wiggle and press your barely clad body to his.
“Dulce,” he warns, voice dipping low at your giggles.  To show him it’s just a little bit of teasing, you straighten up immediately and allow Pero to run the warm cloth over your body and finish cleaning you up before dressing in your most modest nightgown without any more shenanigans.
The doctor who is called leaves a short while later, declaring that both you and Lucia will be fine and that a few weeks of lightened activity and rest should heal your injuries without issue.  It’s not something you’re looking forward to, but you agree with Pero that for the remainder of your time in Naples, it would be better if you recovered from the safety of the ship.
Tumblr media
For the first few days, you enjoy the calm and quiet of your vessel, many of the sailors and staff taking the opportunity to enjoy some leave while docked.  But as the days go on, with Pero away for most of the day on business, you find yourself getting restless.  You read your books and write your letters.  You play your piano and even entreat Lucia and whomever remains onboard to play cards with you.  From the ship’s deck you can still see much of the city, and even though you have no particular wish to return on this trip (your experience in the square still too fresh), it unfairly beckons to you like a siren.  You’re bored.  And despite loving your ship, you’re starting to feel cooped up.
Pero does his best each day to finish up his work as quickly as possible so he can return to you, enjoying the warmth of your company and checking for himself that you’re recovering properly.  The Barón brings home delicious treats and pretty trinkets for his wife everyday, leaving no doubt that you’re ever on his mind even when apart.  And while you love your husband dearly for his thoughtfulness, you cannot help, while enjoying his gifts from within the boundaries of a ship that once represented freedom to you, feeling a bit envious at being unable to go out and procure them for yourself.  Pero can tell that you’re feeling a bit out of sorts, not your usual cheerful self; he so hates to see the wings of his pretty dove clipped – it saddens him just as much to see you try to hide your melancholy from him.  And although he cannot agree to lift the current restrictions on your movements, he deeply wishes for a way to make your so-called confinement as pleasant as possible.
The morning that marks the start of your last week in Naples, you wake to an absolute ruckus coming from the ship deck; for a moment you feel a stab of fear, unused to such loud noises and voices without having been given some forewarning.  You must still be feeling some effects of your recent scare, you think; upon listening a bit more carefully, you relax to the realization that the voices are primarily instructive and even calm.  But it’s still much too early for this level of activity from the deck – the footsteps and voices you hear must be from at least double the amount of people you would normally expect to be up at this time of day.  Also unusual is that you’ve woken up to an empty bed; every day following the incident in the square, you’ve woken up to your husband curled around you, arms and legs thrown over your body like protective amour.  You don’t think you particularly like today’s change, but it makes sense – you can’t imagine whatever is going on outside to be taking place without your Pero’s permission.  Not especially looking forward to another day of doing the same things again within the same confines of the ship, you lay in bed for a while longer, at least until the noises start to die down and your curiosity gets the better of you.
The sight that greets you as you open the door to the deck nearly knocks you off your feet.  Somehow, it’s not a wooden ship’s deck that you’re now gazing upon, but a colourful and enchantingly idyllic scene, something that could have been painted by a great master of the arts.  For a moment, you have to pinch yourself, is this a dream?
You step through the doorway from the ship’s hold into an ethereal garden – blooming flowers have overtaken every inch of the ship’s deck: thick braided garlands of roses, violets, and peonies wrap wondrously around every one of the ship’s railings, big bright pots of lilacs, azaleas and irises line the sides of the ship and surround a makeshift sitting area where some garden furniture you’ve never seen before has been arranged.  Even the mast has been decorated to look like a spring maypole, intertwining vines of clematis and jasmine crisscross all the way down from the crow’s nest so tightly you can barely see any of the dark wood that normally centres your great vessel.  Every bow is positively dripping with wisterias, reminding you for a moment of your beloved Bridgerton House.  You walk slowly through the dreamlike scene, weaving between the lush plants and the fresh, bold flowers.   Brushing your hand over the railing as you meander, your fingertips flutter at the soft feel of the blooming petals and your eyes brighten at the rainbow hues that paint every perimeter inch of the ship.  Your nose breathes in the sweet and intoxicating floral scent that now dances lightly in the air.  You close your eyes and inhale.  Your eyes open again with a soft exhale.  Repeat.
You’re turning around slowly, trying to take in the entirety of your magical surroundings when your eyes land on your beaming husband, standing like a handsome faerie king holding an exquisite bouquet of your favourite peonies in his hand, waiting for his pretty queen to take in all his hard work.  Despite the residual pain you still feel a bit in your sides, you launch yourself into Pero’s arms, throwing your own around his neck and passionately press your lips to his.  Mouth opening, you let Pero lick in and explore, before pulling yourself up onto your toes and suck on his tongue eagerly.  Pero pulls you in tightly and when he feels your tongue stroke behind his teeth, lets loose a deep vibrating hum of want that reverberates through you, straight to your core.  With a quick nibble to your bottom lip and a few chasing flutter kisses, Pero reluctantly pulls away; he’s sure there are curious eyes all over the ship deck, even if they are currently concealed by the splendid greenery that’s overtaken the space.
When he steps back look at you, the expression on your face almost gives Pero enough reason to throw modesty and decorum out the window, grab at your enticing curves and throw you down amidst the lush fauna he’s brought onto the ship to have his way with you.  Almost.  Your eyes shine bright and twinkle, there’s a fresh glow to your cheeks, and your smile is the widest that he’s seen in weeks: you’re alive again.
“Pero,” you cry in bliss, “what is all this?”
The Barón gently cradles your head in his hand and reverently strokes the soft hair of his beloved Baronesa, “Mi amor, I could tell that staying confined to the ship has not been agreeing with you.  If you cannot go out to explore and play in the wide world, then I will do my best to bring the wide world to you.  Now, instead of a cold, dreary ship deck, I hope you will enjoy the remainder of the week before we set sail in your own private garden.”
You could cry – what did you ever do to deserve the love and devotion of your perfect husband?  He forever thinks of your comfort and the wellness of your heart – but he does so much more than just take care of you or do things that make you happy, he’s the reason for your joy, for your very being.  You cannot stop murmuring, Thank you thank you thank you, into his chest as he holds you close, not only to him but for him.
Tumblr media
The flowers last a week which is precisely how long you need them to last.  During those final days before your fleet sets sail, you find yourself soothed every time you enter or sit in your personal secret garden; second, by the tranquility and peacefulness of your botanical hideaway, and first, by the knowledge that you have the love of the kindest, sweetest man on earth.
Leaning now along the once again bare wood railing, with the salty sea wind blowing through your hair, you feel a pair of strong arms wrap around your waist.  The patchy facial hair of your husband tickles your cheek as he presses a sweet kiss to your temple and whispers in your ear, “Happy to be on our way, Dulce?”
Turning in his arms, you snuggle into his safe hold; tucking yourself under his chin, you sigh into Pero’s neck, “Just happy, mi amor.”

I haven't played less of p, but can keep asking questions!
Do you have any propaganda for playing the game?
hi welcome to the lies of p propaganda
literally a mix of bloodborne and american mcgee's alice when it comes to aesthetic, vibes, themes and battle systems. if you liked either of them and are upset that bloodborne won't get a port and alice won't get a sequel this is a good alternative
the devs confirmed a sequel and a dlc btw. and they're indie so they shouldn't have many problems
INCREDIBLE soundtrack, and here's some examples of my favorites because i need to share quixotic, memory of beach, shattered memories, hall of fame and arche abbey everywhere
the boss fights are difficult, but most of them are very fair and easy to learn the patterns of. while some are clearly fodder... anyone who played a soulsborne game know that every now and then you have to deal with a curse-rotted greatwood or a witch of hemwick if it means you can have a pontiff sulyvan or a lady maria in return!! if you don't mind spoilers i highly recommend checking out the battles with the king of puppets or with champion victor
tackles themes of overcoming grief, different ways to deal with it, rebirth, what it means to be human, being your own person and honestly and lies, with the latter especially being the most prominent one and heavily implying that even if honesty is good, sometimes a lie is a much better option for everyone
INCREDIBLE visuals hello
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
i need to talk about how good the monsters design is because body and mechanical horror fans rise UP
Tumblr media Tumblr media
you can actually mix-n-match every single weapons you can find around, not including very overpowered boss weapons, and you can have a cannon arm?? like yes it's far from being the fastest weapon but consider: i can either hit and dash or i can make the boss explode
Your Choices Matter you know when a game promises you that they don't. well they do they DOOO literally every single choice starting with your very first one matter HEAVILY in the end
i can't stress enough how good the characters are, they're all full of life and energy and Love. you get a puppet in love, a beautiful charismatic old woman, a spunky young mechanic, whatever the fuck venigni my dad venigni has going on, an actually pretty fun version of the cricket and even pinocchio, who like most soulsborne seems to have little to no personality, is way more human from the get-go, with a lot of characters noting that he's so easily annoyed by their bigger-than-life personality and dramatique
this game made me cry SO many times between the music the lore and the incredible writing and voice acting. it's weird to say i didn't expect that much from it, like when the first trailer arrived we all went haha bishounen pinocchio bloodborne game, but the various npcs and even some bosses feel so human that inevitably seeing them going through situation destroyed me fr fr
but seriously the small details fuck me up so bad. the fact that pinocchio starts by making heavy mechanical noises whenever he moves and occasionally twitches and makes no noise when he attacks and the more "good ending" choices you make the less mechanical noises he makes and the more he occasionally grunts whenever he's hit is so nice?? they literally change every single one of his animation if you aim for that ending and it's so!!!!! aaaa
and also you can play fashionsouls the clothes have no effect other than being fancy so you can literally wear whatever the fuck you want and i, personally, find it very fun. big fan of the workshop master clothes btw that was my main until i unlocked the white clothes
Tumblr media Tumblr media
i could go on but it would fall in spoilers territory fnasdmg point is. play lies of p

Pirate au for star wars?
send me an au and i’ll give you 5+ headcanons about it
Going for that Golden Age Fantasy vibe that PotC runs on
Padme is a godly entity masquerading as a noblewoman. She pretends to be a fancy rich lady, corsets and panniers and lacy fans. She is not. She is some kind of god and only a very small number of people are aware of this.
Anakin snuck his way onto a pirate ship when he was nine for Reasons. Those reasons are that Qui-Gon's ship stopped by in a Certain Port for the first time in ten years and, all said, 'living on a pirate ship with the bio dad he's never met' was somehow still better odds on making it to adulthood than sticking with Shmi. Qui-Gon did not want to take a kid to sea, because he thinks being a pirate is understandably way too dangerous for a child. Unfortunately, Anakin.
Qui-Gon was actually a Law Man until a few years before Anakin happened. Specifically, four years before Anakin happened, when Qui-Gon kidnapped a twelve-year-old who'd been scheduled for execution for some insane, overblown crime in a town by Telos (turns out Xanatos is 100% willing and able to get preteen Obi-Wan murdered by the government out of pure spite), and was labeled a criminal when he left. Even after Xanatos and his father were removed from power, Qui-Gon's crimes were not pardoned, and so he and Obi-Wan just went full on Robin Hoods Of The Sea since it wasn't like they'd be safe on land anyway.
Ventress and Grievous run actual Historically Horrible pirate crews that do all the classically evil shit.
Mace is technically supposed to be trying to catch pirates, but if Qui-Gon, his apprentice, and his tiny child--what the HELL, Qui-Gon, what possessed you to bring a CHILD with you--escape from his brig rather more frequently than anyone can justify... well, it's not like Mace is the only one to lose them.
Bonus: Rael is a minor sea spirit who just randomly shows up, drunk as fuck, on Qui-Gon's ship every full moon.

Summary
This game is everything I hoped it would be. yes it's a Professor Layton crossover, but it also has the charm of DGS x Princess tutu x tunic. The ending was very layton-esque, along with all the reveals. I truly had such an amazing time playing this game. I was initially introduced to this because I heard that DGS was inspired by it, so it was my mission to play both aa and pl's original trilogies before playing. And I am so glad I did bc the wait was so worth it. You can absolutely see the influence this game and professor layton had on Shu Takumi. There's so much passion and creativity between plvspw an dgs that makes playing them all the more enjoyable. I loved how all the main characters interacted with each other, I especially loved how hershel and phoenix swapped assistants. The new characters were also so fun. Espella, Barnham, Darklaw, the story-teller, they were all so unique and enjoyable to interact with. The animation was stellar. This 3D style really works for both PL and AA and im so glad both series took inspiration from it. The music and art was phenomenal, this game honestly should win awards if it hasn't already done so. I also love how any character pulled into an aa game will have their gay moments: phoenix x hershel and espella x eve especially. I can't wait to make art or even write for this game, I will definitely add scenes from this to my ballet au ^^! What a phenomenal game, what a fun premise with the most convoluted layton-esque ending. It was so perfectly I highly recommend!!

BOOM—personality swap between the shepherds! how would that go down?? (i’m envisioning briony having blade’s stoic exterior or chase acting sophisticated like lavi and it’s killing me)
I wish I could draw, because I feel like this would be so much funnier with illustrations! 🤣
I used a random generator to generate the personality swaps:
Halek ↔️ Ayla
Halek is loud, mouthy, aggressive, and wants to fight you all the time. He has a bunch of pent-up rage from being forced to be leader of his people and he responded by acting as delinquent as possible, except instead of being a slacker and shirking his duties, now it's like some Hunter Guy questions his decision and he gets all up in his face and is like, "Huh? You wanna repeat that before I beat your fucking ass?" He is a surprisingly effective leader because everyone perceives him as tough and passionate. However, as a Shepherd, you can't get him to do anything unless you ask him nicely. He has no fear but also no chill... that fight with Ayla about the witch's bane soup would have gone soooo differently if he wasn't naturally quite laidback lol! His partnership with Moonsilk might be more compatible because she'd be the one to seemingly "hold him back" or calm him down... or he'd have told her to fuck off right from the get-go LMAO "I'm not marrying her! Either I'm the leader around here or I'm not, *I* pick who I'm gonna marry! Pack your shit and go!!"
Ayla is just a sleepy lil Wind-Mage. "Ayla, could you, maybe, you know, blast this demon to kingdom come?" "Hm? Oh, yeah, sure... 🥱" Everybody thinks Jalis people must be a buncha hippies because she's sooo lazy and chill. She's the force of calm in the group, the port in the storm: when Briony and Trouble start brawling with some rude assholes in a tavern, Ayla is just waiting on standby, vibing until they're done so she can clean them up and take them home. It probably makes her a vastly less effective fighter because she doesn't summon the energy and passion to send opponents flying, it's probably just a gentle puff of wind LOL
Riel ↔️ Lavinet
Honestly, I don't think they're that different, I feel like Riel is just more vain, fashionable, charismatic, and flirtatious. But their skillsets, backgrounds, and interests are still fairly similar! Still... imagine him lounging in like a flame-red tailored suit with, like, a peacock feather tucked into his breast pocket, the trailblazer of fashion for all of Haven... fanning himself idly while he flirts and flatters courtiers of all stripes shamelessly! "Darling, I realize you have reservations about our business agreement, but haven't you learned you can trust me? 🖤" Oh my god. He would be a menace. Imagine him with an ojou-sama laugh I'm dying
Tumblr media
Lavinet is considerably less popular among the nobility because of her various eccentricities... She's neurotic, uptight, fastidious, cutting! She's no entertainer of grand balls and parties, but still a fearsome political opponent all the same... The new Iron Lady! She's known as something of a terror and will snap out a biting retort to just about anyone, whether it's people who don't show her the proper respect or someone who carelessly offset her carefully-arranged tea tray, annoying her to no end! She's known as something of an introvert and recluse and would just rather be left alone to read her books and manage her father's financial affairs. The young men of the Iron Court are so terrified of her that she doesn't even have to worry about being married off against her will LOL, they wouldn't dare to propose!
Chase ↔️ Shery
GOD THIS ONE IS SO CURSED GRLGJKRGJKL There's just no way... The thief-lord of Haven is actually a shy, mousy sweetheart... There's no way that could work, right?? Maybe he has an alter ego where he acts ruthless and cunning, and then he walks into another room and melts into a puddle on the ground like 🥹🥹 "that was so hard... I'm sweating haha...! 😭" Some rival guild leader flirts with him (dangerously) like "well, I was thinking of killing you... but now that I see you in person... I could think of other things I'd like better..." Chase internally is like nooooooo please stop this 😭 while outwardly he blushes and stammers something like "yeah uh th-that sounds like a better option than... being killed..." 🫠 Someone steals from him and Trouble finds him like crying dramatically on the ground an hour later like "why would they do that, that's so mean!!" 😭
I can only imagine Shery as this like vaguely evil, chaotic quartermaster, which doesn't make any sense lmao, her occupation requires her to be extremely orderly, organized, tidy, and on top of her business, and throwing Chase's lackadaisical, unpredictable, "I'm allergic to plans" personality at her is just crazy lol. Imagine trying to run an order when your quartermaster is actually your biggest prankster! YOU CAN'T DO IT, IT WON'T WORK. Every recruit who gets assigned a new room or handed new blankets or puts in a requisition order for a training dummy gets surprised by 8,000 fake spiders. Or a bucket of flour dumped on their head. The Order would collapse into dysfunction within a month. Not to mention the quartermaster's habit of flirting and chatting up the new recruits outrageously! 😭 On the flip side, Vivek would not have given her any shit after the first few minutes of meeting her...
Tallys ↔️ Briony
Tallys is bubbly, cheerful, energetic, and an emotional chatterbox, lol! That's so weird to picture lol imagine Trouble walking into a room and Tallys looking up brightly, her face lighting up in a big smile, and saying something like, "Hi, Trubs, I was just looking for you! The laundresses are throwing a fit because you keep getting the smell of gunpowder in your drapes--how do I know? Oh, well, you see, I'm friends with that nice silver-haired girl on Pelinel Squad, you know, the Weather-Mage, and she said--" I don't think she commands half the dignity or respect she receives now as Third this way lol because she's trying to be everyone's friend... probably the Elves of the Elven Quarter like Ashaniel and them low-key all hate her because she's such a little ball of sunshine, she probably comes off as quite immature and cutesy to them, so imagine her asking Ashaniel to trust her with Quel-Qanaeon, it'd be like asking an 80-year-old war veteran to trust someone whom he just saw getting distracted by a butterfly or something, like "Oh my god, look at the pretty flowers! :D It's such a nice day today, isn't it?" The irony of it being that she's an excellent Keeper and fearsome archer, just no one really listens to her advice or takes her seriously because she's so
Tumblr media
Briony is this calm, composed warrior who likes to keep to her own solitude and comes off as quite mysterious and enigmatic. Everyone attributes this to her amnesia and past as a gladiator (surely she must have seen and done such dark things, but look at her resilience of spirit to stay so quiet and dignified!) and is basically looked at as some kind of like wise, martial monk-like figure whom you can always look to for sage advice. However, she comes off as a bit aloof, as she prefers to meditate at dawn by herself and gather herbs to make healing salves (she must have learned these rituals from her Elvish friend at the arena). She's far more meditative, contemplative, and serious... but if you take Tallys's cautious, "observe from a distance" ranged fighter behavior and apply it to what should be the destructive charger/bruiser who runs into the fray headlong, you get a Briony who's probably vastly less effective as the Battle-Mage tank she's supposed to be! She lacks her signature recklessness, so she's probably not punching down walls!
Mimir ↔️ Blade
GOD LOL I HATE THIS well Blade becomes even more quiet than he already is, and he has the charisma of a dead shrimp. He's always silently preoccupied with ✨ mysterious thoughts ✨, and his effectiveness as a commander drops drastically because everything he says is extremely cryptic and makes everyone go like ??? 🙂 What did that mean?? so nothing would get done LMAO instead of barking very straightforward, blunt commands as he is known to, he'd just sort of mumble something extremely enigmatic. This would drive Trouble crazy and he'd probably have to become acting commander. At first people would think the mysterious aura is part of his whole "formerly the greatest assassin" shtick, and his martial prowess and ability in combat couldn't be denied, so at first people would see this dark, unknowable swordsman and be like 'oh yeah, that makes sense why the Autarch picked him, he seems like he's... not of this world...' Very god of death, very ethereal... but then eventually people would start to get annoyed by the lack of clarity LOL and realize it's less "brooding darkness" and more "vague absent-mindedness" or something LMAO
Mimir's this traveling Seer who can not only see the future, but envision 900 different ways for her to kill you?? This makes her an incredibly effective fighter and she's always carrying dozens of weapons on her person... She's survived multiple assassination attempts because of people fearing/hating her predictions about their futures and considered her to be a heretic and a threat, so she's paranoid, abrupt, brusque, and finds it hard to get along with people. She prefers sleeping in a tent outside because she doesn't trust the others not to try and sneak into her room to try and kill her in her sleep! She comes off as a bit unpleasant, but her skills are so valuable that everyone ends up respecting her need for space...
Trouble ↔️ Red
Trouble's abilities as a sniper vastly diminish because, while he's lying on a rooftop or in the bush, waiting to snipe a target, he's sneaking secret reading sessions of his latest book and getting so engrossed that he forgets to keep track of them entirely! He's extremely enthusiastic about arcana and historical discoveries, partially because he's done so much research about magic to understand what was done to him by the Equalists: now he's the Order's resident "obscure magic" expert. Fist-fighting in taverns? No thank you, he prefers reading with a good cup of tea by his elbow. He's a polite, friendly young man who's adored by the neighborhood residents ("such a good, upstanding boy! ever since he was a young man he would come over every year to re-thatch my roof for me!") but has a bad habit of inadvertently making people fall in love with him. He would think he and Lazu Reen are good buddies and that the guy's insults are "just his way of joking around" LOL Lazu Reen: "you're a pig fucker" Trouble: "haha okay buddy, have a good day 🙂" Kind, optimistic, honest, and thoughtful... I feel like he would be sort of like Clark Kent, original good boy himbo with nerd flavor LMAO
Red is his sisters' biggest source of stress in life. Not only is he an UNAPOLOGETIC playboy, he's always going around, carousing in taverns, getting drunk, and then swinging that warhammer around and causing massive destruction!! They've tried to put a rein on his temper from a young age, but he's always been so mutinous and impulsive, sullenly taking their lectures and then immediately going back out and causing more trouble! Everyone in the Circle would have known him and Pan as the class clowns (Neon, like Hermione, was just there to make sure they didn't get killed). He certainly wouldn't have been named Archmage (I think people would have argued that Archmage Tevanti must have been senile at that point: you can't put that hammer-bashing barbarian in charge!!), but that's okay, he's mostly only interested in traveling around and experiencing his youth! Catch him smoking charch in the back and getting into arm-wrestling matches with Halek in bars for fun LOL. He probably wouldn't take any care of his hair and it would just be carelessly lopped off whenever it got too long! 😭

~
The warm breeze hit Axe Woves’ face pleasantly as his motorcycle roared down the sandy roads of Tatooine. It was a desert country, with not much to see, but its location made it valuable to many trade routes of the motorcycle clubs around. Plus it was a place where a lot of people with bounties on their heads liked to hide out, which is why the Mandalorians- an MC that mostly was made up of bounty hunters-  found themselves there often.
Tatooine was a place where people passed through mostly, not somewhere one would stay permanently. There were those that did, however; someone had to run the ports and hotels and bars. But overall, it wasn’t somewhere Axe ever stayed more than one night at a time.
Exhaustion started to hit him, though, and once he got close to Mos Eisley, the capital city and heart of Hutt territory, he decided to pull over for a rest and recharge. On the outskirts sat a welcoming-looking cantina, and Axe pulled his loud blue bike up to it.
“Winking Skeever Cantina,” he muttered to himself as he took his helmet off and took a deep breath of fresh air. He wasn’t expecting much- there never was much going on at quiet dives like this. But all the breath was knocked out of his lungs when he walked through the doors and saw the most beautiful person he had ever seen in his life… Unfortunately, you were in trouble.
“I told you it’s over Cen,” your voice was stern as you tried to yank yourself free of his grip, “Please leave!”
“But babe please,” the man, Cen, pleaded as he refused to let go of his grasp on your wrist, “Just give me one more chance. I promise I’ll do better.”
“No,” you snapped back, “Let me go, asshole!”
“But…”
Cen was interrupted when a strong, gloved hand grabbed him and forcefully pulled him off of you, “I believe the lady told you ‘no,’” Axe’s smooth voice came out soft, yet it hid an undertone of threat behind his words.
Fired up, Cen was about to launch himself at the stranger, but he stopped in his tracks when he recognized the unmistakable skull on the leather jacket and froze, “A Mandalorian…” he breathed as all the fight left his body.
Your eyes went wide as you took a couple steps back to put some distance between you and your ex. Without even realizing it, you had placed yourself behind the handsome Mandalorian stranger.
He glanced at you and gave you a quick wink before he turned back to Cen, “So you know what I am,” his tone dropped, “Are we going to have a problem here?” Axe hovered his hand over his gun, more of a threat than an intent to use it, but Cen didn't need to know that.
“N-no,” he stuttered.
“Will I see you around here bothering this lady again?” Axe’s eyes burned as he squeezed Cen’s wrist even tighter.
“N-no,” he sounded like a completely different man than just moments ago. Cen was scared and powerless, and wanted nothing more than to run out of the bar and never come back.
“Good,” Axe didn’t realize his grip on him just yet though, “Before you go, apologize to the lady.”
“Sorry.”
“Not good enough,” Axe growled as he slammed his head against the wall.
“I’m sorry,” Cen huffed out between heavy breaths.
Satisfied, Axe released him and before he could even take a step back, Cen bolted out the door. Axe stared for a few moments, making sure he was gone for good, before he turned back to you, “Are you alright?” he addressed you with a softer, gentler tone.
It took you a moment to process that the Mandalorian had said anything; you were too lost in his deep eyes, handsome features and the fact that he jumped in with no hesitation to save you. Your heart pounded as he stared at you expectantly, “Yes,” you breathed as your shoulders dropped, “Thank you,” you added, “For getting rid of my ex. He would not leave me alone, even though I’ve told him it’s over about a hundred times.”
Axe frowned, “Perhaps I should stick around for a while. Make sure he doesn’t come back.”
Your skin burned hotter than the desert sun outside, “I…” you let out a deep breath, “You’re welcome to stay as long as you want, Mandalorian.”
“Axe,” he reached for you hand and gently raised it to his lips, placing a soft kiss on the back of it, “Axe Woves.”
You trembled in his soft grip as you gave him your name, “I’ve never actually met a Mandalorian before, but I’ve heard the stories.”
“I hope they mention how devilishly charming some of us are,” Axe couldn’t help the cheesy line and spilled from his lips. But when you giggled at his antics, his own heart fluttered in his chest.
“That was a pleasant surprise,” you quipped back as you subtly shimmied your shoulders. The two of you stared into each other’s eyes for several moments as the jukebox played quietly in the background. Neither of you heard much of the music, though, as both your hearts pounded loudly in your chest.
You broke the silence first as you cleared your throat, “Sit anywhere you like, Axe,” you gestured to the empty bar, “Whatever you want is on the house. My uncle owns the place, I know it’ll be alright.”
“How kind of you,” Axe smiled as he sat down at the bar. He was about to say something else when the kitchen doors burst open and a short man stormed in.
“Hey, hey, hey, we don’t want any trouble here, Mando!” he chastised in a thick accent. His grey hair was thinning on top, but he still had a long, thick beard. He pushed you behind him protectively, “Don’t go around hurting my family, you hear!”
“Uncle Greez!” you hissed as you stepped out from behind him, “This is Axe Woves,” you gestured to him, “He saved me. He got Cen to finally leave for good,” the relief in your voice was apparent.
The fire in his eyes quickly dissipated as his shoulders dropped, “Oh,” he said as he visibly relaxed, “Well that’s ok then.” Thought he relaxed, Greez kept his guard up.
You shot him a smile as you patted his shoulder as dashed behind the bar, quickly pouting Axe a drink and sliding it to him. A shock ran up your skin as his fingers brushed over yours as he took the glass from you. You gasped softly at the contact and snapped your eyes up to meet his and again, for a moment you were lost in them.
It wasn’t until Greez cleared his throat that you jumped back and gathered yourself again, “Sorry,” you mumbled, more to yourself than to anyone else.
“We got tables over there to wait. Our cantina doesn’t serve itself you know,” Greez pointed to the booths on the other end of the small cantina that suddenly had people in them. You hadn’t even heard them come in as you were too enthralled with the Mandalorian who sat at the bar.
“On it,” you replied to your uncle before you turned back to Axe, “Be right back.”
“I’ll be here, darling,” he lifted his glass in a cheer.
Greez watched as the Mandalorian never took his eyes off of you. For several minutes, he stood in silence as his own emotions boiled over to the surface and he cleared his throat again to get his attention.
Axe had to look down to meet Greez’s eyes, and he had to fight his own feelings to keep a neutral expression on his face. He knew a protective family member when he saw one.
“You know,” Greez started as he stepped closer, “Your kind has a bit of a reputation for being the toughest M.C. out there…”
Axe took a sip of his drink, “That we do,” he nodded, “But it’s because we have to be, not because we want to be.”
Greez sighed, “I know you guys ain’t nothing like the Hutts or anything,” he sat down next to Axe, “I just don’t want to see her hurt is all,” he paused, “She may not be blood, but she’s still the only family I got left.” The solumness in his tone said there was more left unspoken, but that was for another time.
Axe nodded, “I understand. Family is important to the Mandalorians too… Blood or not blood.” He paused as he opened his mouth to say something else, something along the lines of not wanting to hurt you either, but he left that thought hanging in the air.
Greez grabbed a glass of his own and listed it towards the biker, “Then I believe we are at an understanding.”
“That we are,” he replied softly as he tapped his glass against Greez’s.
As the cantina filled in with the evening rush, you became too busy to stop and talk to Axe again unless it was to bring him his order. Yet, even with the commotion of the crowd, you always felt his watchful eye on you, and it made you feel safe. And true to his word, Axe stayed for several hours until he was sure that your ex wouldn’t come back.
He left a generous tip on the bar and slipped out before you could even notice. You couldn’t deny that it made your heart sink when you turned around and saw he was gone. In the corner by the kitchen doors, you saw your uncle Greez standing there, who gave you an understanding nod before he went back into the kitchen.
*
It was several weeks before you saw Axe Woves again. Yet, you couldn’t help the hopeful gaze whenever you saw the cantina doors open followed by the disappointment that it wasn’t him. The day Axe finally came back, your face lit up as you couldn’t hide your excitement at seeing him again. He never made any promise to return, yet you couldn’t help the feeling that you’d see him again, that he would come back to you. And he did.
The truth was, Axe wanted to come back the next day, but duty called him away longer than he would have liked. He smirked and nodded at you as his heart secretly fluttered in his chest at the way your smile beamed brightly at him. Maker, you were stunning.
“Your usual, Mr. Woves?” you asked slyly as he sat down at the same stool at the bar.
“That sounds wonderful, my lady,” he answered back with the same flirtatious tone.
You bit your lip as you felt your skin tingle under his gaze. And you couldn’t help but notice the bruise on his cheek, but you tried to keep your face neutral as your eyes glanced down.
He noticed though, of course, “It’s nothing, darling,” Axe tried to ease your obvious worry, “You should see the other guy,” he added with an amused huff.
Your face dropped for just a moment but you quickly gathered yourself, “I’m glad,” you breathed.
Axe took a sip of the drink you slid to him, “Has our friend been back at all?” he asked with a pointed tone on the word “friend.”
“Not once,” you replied with a relieved tone.
“Good,” he winked at you before someone else called your attention and you went back to work. Axe stayed for several hours just to make sure you were truly safe.
Over the next few weeks, Axe Woves returned several times. And every time, you both never resisted the urge to flirt with each other. Except for the one time you seemed distressed and distracted, though you instead you were alright. Axe stayed a little bit longer that day until you were back to your usual self.
Every time you saw each other, the tension grew, yet it remained unspoken. Even Greez made a comment about how much the Mandalorian biker affected you; “Please, not in front of me, I don’t wanna see that,” he mumbled.
*
It was afternoon, a slow day, with hardly anyone at the cantina. You and Greez took the opportunity to clean the bar when a familiar face strode through the door. You looked up from what you were doing and smiled as you met Axe’s gaze. Greez nodded politely but then scoffed playfully as he teased you under his breath.
“Uncle,” you hissed, nudging him.
“Quiet day today,” Axe commented as he sat down at the bar.
“Yeah,” you replied, unsure of what to make of the way he stared deep into your eyes, as if he was searching through your soul for something. It made your skin burn and your hands tremble, and you couldn’t help the way your eyes wandered down his strong shoulders and broad chest. You noted the patches on his leather jacket, and you knew on the back from watching him walk away he had the signature Mandalorian mythosaur.
“Hey,” Axe whispered your name, drawing your attention back to the present.
“Yeah?”
“How about we go for a ride?” he asked suavely.
“I…” you stuttered as your heart pounded in your chest, “I…”
“Oh go on,” Greez interrupted, “It’s slow here today anyway.”
You snapped to meet his gaze, surprised he would encourage you. But, you knew that Greez only ever looked out for your best interest, and he could tell how much his biker meant to you. And, if Greez had to admit, Axe Woves was a good man under the leather and the biker persona.
Turning back to Axe, you lit up, “That sounds great,” you replied in a hushed tone as you came around the bar and slid your hand into his extended one.
“Just make sure you get her back in one piece, you hear, Mando!” Greez called out to the two of you.
“I will keep her safe,” Axe turned back to your uncle, “You have my word.”
A giggle escaped your lips as you let Axe lead you to his bike hand in hand. Your heart pounded in your chest as you felt his strong grip as he held your hand tightly, but you stopped in your tracks and let out a gasp when he brought you outside and you got a good look at his bike for the first time, “It’s gorgeous…”
“She is,” Axe replied, his eyes never leaving you, “Now I’m going to need you to hold onto me tight. Can you do that?”
You broke your gaze off of his bike and your face warmed when you replied his face was only inches from yours, “Yeah,” you breathed.
It was exhilarating the way the wind hit your face and the bike roared underneath you as Axe drove you both down the long, winding desert roads of Tatooine. You understood now why people chose the life of a biker in a motorcycle club. Even after one ride you craved more, but you were sure it was also because of who you rode with. You kept your arms wrapped tightly around Axe’s torso, leaning against his shoulder when you got tired of holding yourself up. And the way his warmth and the smell of his leather jacket engulfed your senses lit a new fire within you.
Axe drove you around for what felt like hours, and the sun was starting to set when you felt the bike slow down. “We’re here,” he yelled over his shoulder to you.
Looking up, you saw a little oasis in the distance, a sanctuary in the desert. Your heart pounded as he brought the bike into the trees, escaping the harsh suns. With a sigh, you pushed yourself off, with help from Axe’s strong hand of course.
“How did you like your first ride?” he asked with a satisfied grin as he slipped off his gloves. Axe already knew by the look on your face that you enjoyed it, but he wanted to hear you say it.
“It was amazing,” you breathed as you looked around, “And this place… I had no idea this was here!”
“MC secret, darling,” Axe quipped back with a wink, “Out here is Tuskin territory, but the Mandalorians have an agreement with them, so we’re perfectly safe here,” he glanced at you, still looking around in awe, “We use it as a rest stop on our long trips through the desert.”
“It’s beautiful,” you were mesmerized by the sanctuary the little oasis offered. It wasn’t very big, but it had enough trees to offer a shelter from the elements, as well as a little pond in the center. There was a small camp set up with supplies so passers-by could restock on their way.
“That it is,” he sighed, his eyes never leaving yours once more. But this time, you caught his gaze, and you knew exactly what his intentions were. Axe thought it was charming how your eyes went wide and you held your breath just a little longer before you looked down at the ground. He reached out and took your hand gingerly, “Let’s sit, darling.”
The two of you settled in the little camp on some blankets in front of the pond. It was quiet and remote, yet you felt perfectly safe with Axe. Together the two of you sat in a comfortable silence, his thumb brushing across the back of your hand ever so slightly.
“So,” Axe broke the silence, “Does your uncle always chase any potential suitors of yours? Except for that ass… What's his name..? That he failed to.”
You laughed softly, “He’s just protective of me, that’s all. Uncle Greez is a good man. It’s just…” you sounded distant suddenly.
“I didn’t mean…”
“It’s alright,” you cut him off. Letting out a deep sigh, you decided to tell him, “The Hutts killed my parents when I was really young. I don’t know what happened, something about a debt I guess…” you paused as you saw Axe frown, “Greez took me in. He raised me as his own. We’re all each other has…. Just us and our bar…” you trailed off, as if you had something else to say but you decided to leave it.
Axe whispered your name as he reached out and cupped your face, “I give you my word,” he sounded firm, “I will never let anything happen to you… Or your uncle, or the cantina.”
Your mouth dropped open, but all words were lost as he crashed his lips to yours. Axe swallowed the moan you let out as he held you tightly, sealing his promise with action. He groaned as you grabbed onto his jacket and kissed his back, clinging to him just as firmly as he held you.
As your tongues danced together, you shifted yourself and climbed into his lap, straddling him and deepening the kiss. You gasped against Axe’s lips when you felt his cock was already half hard underneath you, and you couldn’t help but buck your hips a few times, grinding against him. As you did so, his hands slipped under your shirt, and you both felt a jolt when his skin touched yours. Breaking away with a gasp, you looked deep into Axe’s eyes, and saw that they were blown black with desire.
“Darling,” HIs tone was low, “As much as I’m enjoying this, are you sure this is what you want? Because if we don’t stop now, I won’t be able to hold back.”
His words made you whimper, and you felt his cock twitch underneath you, “I want this,” you murmured as you held his face in your hands, “I want you.”
“Fuck, darling,” he groaned, “I’ve never needed anyone more,” he confessed as he kissed you once more, this time while his hands roamed under your shirt.
You moaned into his mouth as Axe’s rough hands cupped your breasts and his calloused fingers ran over your nipples, “Axe…” you breathed as you broke away for him to remove your shirt.
“You’re gorgeous,” he purred before he lurched forward and took one of your breasts in his mouth.
You let out a loud moan as you threw your head back and buried your hands in his hair. As his tongue swirled around your nipple, you rocked against his hardening cock and tugged at the thick strands, the need between both of you growing quickly.
Axe broke away with a loud pop before he trailed his hands down your sides, savoring the goosebumps that erupted on your skin as he did so. But, when he reached your pants, he paused and looked back into your eyes. You swallowed hard, meeting his burning gaze. You were sure he could hear the way your heart pounded, and you felt the way he physically strained to hold himself back.
With one nod from you, though, he let go. Axe dove his hand underneath your pants and cupped your pussy. You gasped as he wasted no time in slipping a finger inside you followed by another.
“Fuck,” you breathed as you rocked your hips in time with his fingers, “Axe…”
“I love it when you say my name, darling,” he mumbled.
Tugging on his leather jacket, you suddenly felt even more desperate, “Axe… Please…” you whimpered as you tugged it off his shoulders, “Let me see you too… Please fuck me.”
Axe groaned loudly, “You know I can never say no to you, darling,” his voice was low and guttural as he pulled out of you and quickly stripped both himself and you in heated desperation.
The moment you were both free of your last bits of clothing, you straddled Axe once more, this time his cock free and at full attention. You hovered yourself over the tip, feeling your own wetness drip down, which Axe certainly noticed.
“Darling, you have never looked more beautiful than you do right now,” Axe grabbed onto your waist to help guide you down onto his cock as the sun started to set behind you.
Both of you gasped loudly as the tip of his cock pushed past your entrance. You leaned forward and grabbed onto his shoulders for support as he helped you slowly impale yourself on his length. Inch by inch, his cock filled you up, and the stretch burned so deliciously, until you were seated on his lap with all of him buried deep inside you.
Breathing heavily, you leane dback to look the biker in the eyes, and the look of pure admiration on his face made your heart slip a beat.
“Nevermind,” he purred as he kissed you tenderly, “Now you’ve never looked more beautiful.”
“Axe…”
Without another word, he bucked his hips up, thrusting his cock into you more. Your mouth dropped open as loud moans flowed freely as he fucked into you from below. Axe watched in awe as your breasts bounced while you rocked your hips to match his rhythm while the setting sun illuminated your figure beautifully. Maker, you were like a goddess as you rode his cock in the setting sun.
Together the two of you found your perfect rhythm as you picked up your pace. Moans and groans filled the empty air as Axe’s cock dove deeper and deeper into your pussy, eventually hitting that sweet spot that made your scream.
“That’s it, darling,” he cooed as he rubbed your clit with his thumb, “Let me see how lovely you are when you cum on my cock.”
“Fuck… Axe…” you cried out as your entire body tingled.
You dug your nails into his shoulders hard, but he didn’t care. Axe bucked his hips into you harder and faster and his thumb worked your clit with expert precision. Incoherent mumbles flowed from your lips until you froze for a moment as your climax hit. And with a loud scream, you threw your head back and came hard, gushing between your bodies as you rode out your orgasm on his cock.
Axe lost himself for a moment as he watched you fall apart. But the way your inner muscles squeezed his cock hard quickly brought him back and with a few more thrusts, he came deep inside you with a low growl of your name. As he rode out both your climaxes, Axe yanked you against him and kissed you deeply as you both collapsed down onto the ground.
For several moments, neither of you moved, both too exhausted and too comfortable to. You laid on top of him, his cock still buried inside you… and it was perfect. Axe wrapped his arms around you, stroking your head tenderly as he felt your heart pound against his. He kissed your temple softly before he rolled you both onto your sides, slipping out of you as he did so.
The gasp you let out mirrored the one you let out when he entered you, but Axe never let you go far. He quickly gathered you in his arms and rested your head on his chest, holding you tightly. The moon and the stars had begin to shine brightly in the sky, making the oasis much cooler than it had been.
“I’ve got you,” he murmured as he reached for a blanket and wrapped it around both your bodies. He knew eventually he would have to take you back home, but for now, Axe just wanted to savor every second he could you with, and having you in his arms was more than he ever could have asked for.
*
Axe had never been back to the same cantina as much as he did to this one… to you. From the moment he met you he knew there was something about you, something that drew him in, something he couldn’t turn away from. You were different, you were special. And the more times he came back to you, the more he couldn’t deny his quickly growing feelings for you. The once long, lonely, quiet, road became an adrenaline rush since Axe knew it brought him to you. His heart pounded as he rode his bike down the now familiar streets towards your cantina.
But this time when he pulled up, his heart sank.
As he steered his bike towards the bar, he noticed something parked out front that wasn’t normally there: bikes. Not just any bikes either. These were distinct and stood out from others to be instantly recognizable. And Axe did not like who they belonged to: the Hutts.
And he knew there was trouble the moment the patrons rushed out of the cantina. But, when Axe didn’t see you among them, his blood ran cold, even in the hot Tatooine sun. Fear pulsed through his veins as he suddenly worried you were hurt at the hands of the Hutts… or worse.
“What would they want with you?” he whispered to himself as he pulled around the back, parking next to a van that had the license plate “Mantis” on it.
Quietly, Axe snuck in the back door and snuck his way around to the bar area where he heard your voice. Relief washed over him to know that you were still alive at least, but he knew he had to act fast if he wanted to keep it that way. Thankfully, everyone else had fled the bar so the only ones inside were you, Greez and two representatives from the Hutt gang.
“I told you I don’t have the money yet,” you pleaded with the Hutt prospect, “Please I just need a little more time.”
“You’re already overdue, sweetheart,” the other man in the Hutt jacket spat back at you, “Your time is up.”
“Wait, I’m sure we can come to an understan…” Greez tried to reason with him, and take their attention off of you, but he smacked his hard across the face so that he hit the ground hard with a groan.
“Uncle Greez!” you screamed as you tried to run for him, but the large man grabbed you before you could get to him, “Let me go you fucking shithead!” you yelled as you tried to break free.
“You’re coming with us, sweet girl,” he sneered, “I think the boss will really like you…”
You gasped as your heart sank in your chest at the implication. Tears of frustration filled your eyes as you tried once more to yank yourself free, but once more it was pointless and he just tightened his grip on you.
But your luck was about to change as a voice rang through the empty bar from the back end of the space.
“Let her go.”
The two Hutts froze and turned back, but the one who held you kept a firm grasp on you.
“Axe…” you breathed in relief.
He emerged from the shadows with his gun raised and pointed at the Hutts. Axe took a moment to assess the room, and while he did so he noticed that Greez was still knocked out on the floor, but he noticed he was still breathing.
The one who held you pulled you flushed against him, using you to block the Mandalorian’s shot, while the other raised his own gun at him. “What the fuck is a Mando doing here?” he shouted.
“Perhaps you didn’t hear me… I said: let her go,” Axe kept his cool facade up to hide the fact he was terrified. Not for himself, of course, but for you. He hated seeing you in harm’s way, especially involving a group like the Hutts. But, for now, his priority was freeing you, and he was going to do everything in his power to get you safely back in his arms.
“You don’t scare us Mandalorian,” the prospect spat as he readied his gun, “You’re on our territory.”
“And this girl is coming with us,” the one who held you leaned in close to your ear, “She’s ours now.”
A chill ran up your spine as a soft whisper escaped your lips and you shut your eyes. But, it only made Axe angrier and he tightened his grip on his gun. Thinking fast, he said your name in a soft voice. He waited for you to open your eyes and he gave you a flash of a smile, “Look at me, darling,” he addressed you and only you, “Keep your eyes on me, alright? Trust me.”
You shook in your captor’s arms but you nodded ever so slightly.
The man only cackled though, “What are you going to do, Mando?” he spat, “You’re not going to shoot me while I’ve got the girl.”
“Oh, but you’re forgetting, my Hutt friend,” Axe sounded cocky and snarky as he cocked his gun, “Mandalorians are the best shooters around.”
Everything happened in a flash. It only took one shot for Axe to hit your captor right between the eyes. And just a second after, he shot at the prospect’s hand, knocking his gun out of his grip. As the body of the Hutt fell towards the ground, Axe crossed the room at record speed, taking you in his arms and swinging you behind him so that he shielded you with his own body from the one that still stood.
“If you want to hurt her, you have to get through me first,” Axe’s voice was strong and loud as he aimed his gun at the other Hutt, “This bar and this woman are under the protection of The Mandalorians,” he paused. “Go! Tell your boss I will be there shortly to discuss this matter.”
Suddenly afraid, the remaining Hutt scrambled out of the bar and hopped on his bike. Axe didn’t lower his gun, or his guard, until he heard the bike roar to life and dive off. He stayed pointed at the door for several more moments until he finally broke his composure, turning to you and gathering you in his arms, holding you as tight as he could, “Are you alright, darling?” he broke away just enough to look you over, “Are you hurt?”
The worry in his eyes was something you hadn’t seen before, and it made your heart skip a beat, “N-no…” you responded meekly. Then you gasped, “Uncle Greez!”
Axe let you go and followed you and you lunged for Greez on the floor. He knelt beside you as you turned him over and pleaded for him to wake up.
It only took a moment for Greez to gasp and cough, and the relief washed over both you and Axe. “What happened? Why were the Hutts here?” Greez asked as he sat up and leaned against the wall.
Axe looked at you expectantly and his heart sank as your face dropped.
“It’s my fault,” you admitted as you sat back on the floor, slumped over in shame.
“What did you do?” Greez asked, part in fear, part in anger.
“I…” tears filled your eyes and you looked away from both of them, “I knew there wasn’t enough money to keep the cantina open. So I went to the Hutts for a loan…”
“You didn’t!” Greez pleaded, “Please tell me you didn’t. Not when they…”
“I know!” you snapped back, meeting Greez’s gaze, “Look,” you sighed as you softened your tone, “I know it was wrong, ok. And I know I shouldn’t have gotten involved with them… But I didn’t know what else to do… We can’t lose this place Uncle Greez.”
Greez softened as he sighed your name, “I know,” he reached out for you and rested his hand on your shoulder, “But I can’t lose you either. You’re the only family I got left, kid.”
You smiled at your uncle through your tears before you turned your gaze to Axe. Greez turned around too and groaned as he stood up, “Thank you… Axe.”
Axe nodded as he shook Greez’s hand before he knelt and extended a hand to help you up. As you slid your hand in his and he grunted to help you to your feet, Axe let out a deep breath, “Why didn’t you tell me, darling?” his voice was soft and held no jugement.
“I’m ashamed,” you sighed, “I know I shouldn’t have but I had no choice! We were gonna lose the bar… our home. And I had nowhere else to turn to,” you took your hand back and turned away from him, “Besides my burdens aren’t your problem.”
Axe reached out and grabbed your shoulders, forcing you to look back at him “Darling I love you. I will shoulder any of your burdens. You have nothing to be ashamed of, they take advantage of people in your situation,” he paused as his thumb brushed across your shoulder, “But don’t worry I’ll take care of it.”
Your eyes went wide at his confession, “What?” you breathed.
Axe smiled and repeated the exact words that made you react the way you did, only slower this time, “I love you,” he said your name, “And I’m going to fix this. I’m going to protect you. You, and your uncle and your bar.”
Without another word, you grabbed his leather jacket and yanked him towards you, crashing your lips together in a heated kiss, “I love you too,” you whispered against his lips before you kissed him again.
In what felt like an instant later, dozens of Mandlaorians were in your cantina, all of them discussing how to attack the Hutts. Men and women filled the bar, some took their helmets off and some didn’t. You noted the woman Axe called Koska as his right hand, as well as a large man dressed in blue that towered over everyone else, a commanding woman in a golden helmet, and a quiet one dressed in black and with the shiniest silver helmet you had ever seen. All the while, Axe rarely left your side until the time came for them to ride off.
“Darling,” Axe called your attention and turned to you, holding both your hands in his gloved ones, “We’re leaving now,” he almost looked like it pained him to leave you, but he knew it was too dangerous to bring you along; he couldn’t bear it if you got hurt. “I’m leaving all our charter’s prospects to watch over you and the bar. You’ll be safe here,” he paused as you nodded, “I’ll come back to you. I promise. And you’ll never have to worry about the Hutts again.” Axe sealed his promise with a deep and passionate kiss.
“Just come back, ok,” you replied, suddenly more afraid than you had ever been before.
“Darling,” he smiled through the emotions as he cupped your face, “Nothing will keep me from you.”
With one final farewell kiss, Axe led the rest of the Mandalorians down the road, the roar of their bikes drowned out the sound of your tears until it faded into the night.
“They’ll be alright,” one of the prospects said in an attempt to comfort you, “Mandalorians are the best, and this group here is the best of the best.”
You nodded as you sat down in a booth. Greez immediately joined you at your side, resting a hand over your arm, “He’s a good man, you know,” he said.
You looked at him with shock in your eyes, “You mean you actually approve, uncle?”
He nodded, “The guy’s taking on the fucking Hutts for you, kid! If there’s anyone I trust to take care of you, it’s him.”
Tears pooled in the corners of your eyes despite your smile, “Thanks, Uncle Greez,” you leaned over and embraced him like you did when you were a little kid. The prospects kept watch over you and the bar all night as you and Greez both fell asleep in the booth.
As the sun rose in the sky and started to hit your face, the familiar roar of motorcycles rang in the distance. You and Greez both groaned, still from sleeping in the booth all night, but the moment you heard the familiar sound, you shot up with a gasp. Greez motioned for you to go to the door, and the moment you stood up, the front doors burst open, revealing Axe Woves at the head of the Mandalorian pack.
“Axe!” you sighed in relief as you ran to him and fell into his open arms.
“It’s over, darling,” he whispered to you before he raised his voice and addressed Greez and everyone else in the room, “The Hutt’s are defeated! Tatooine is Mandalorian territory now!” Cheers erupted from everyone at the victory, and Axe took the moment to place a chaste kiss on your lips, “You’re safe now,” he said just to you.
“Well I’d say that earned you all a drink!” Greez said, “Come on, let’s celebrate!”
The rest of the Mandalorians cheered even louder as they all made their way to the bar. Everyone, that was, except for Axe Woves, who quietly led you outside and to his bike.
“So what now?” you asked.
“Now,” he kissed the back of your hand, “A new chapter begins. You’re free. You can do whatever you like.”
You grinned as you thought for a moment, “Right now, what I’d like,” you dropped your tone, “Is to go for a ride.”
Axe smirked, “I can help with that,” he extended his hand and helped you onto his bike and together the two of you rode off into the distance, the future as bright as the twin Tatooine suns.

[ID: A reply on a post from the original poster, @/katakaluptastrophy, reading “@/sunshine-fruit-of-the-vine Ooh, your point in the tags about Corona’s comment to Judith is really interesting! Though I suppose it could also be interpreted as the Second being the ones doing the business contracts? Also please tell me more about your political headcanons…” /End ID.]
@katakaluptastrophy this is old but you absolutely do not have to ask me twice oh my god. This is where I reveal exactly how much of a history dork I am so be warned. I have also indicated Vibes in case that is helpful to anybody
So the common denominator among the Houses (as well as among societies as a whole, I spent like half a unit in my sociology class on this last year) is that there’s always a small upper class/nobility/etc and the population gets larger as you go down the ladder. That manifests in different ways within the different Houses, but it’s the same principle: The rich are few, and the poor are many.
That being said…
SECOND: The military leaders of the Nine, the Second are the ones who do the actual conquering of planets. However, Corona’s comment about how “as a Second, [Judith] should be willing to sell her birthright for economics” suggests they might not be getting their share of the profits. A huge portion of the Second lives in poverty, especially the capital city of Trentham, and pretty much the only way to escape it is to join the Cohort. The wealthy and powerful (generals, admirals and war heroes) vehemently deny there ever being a problem. For vibes, think New York City or Chicago but A Little Worse.
THIRD: The economic center of the Nine, the Third is a trade powerhouse and a hub for merchants and artisans. But they also export something a little less palatable: Propaganda for the Empire. The capital, Ida, is an enormous massive palace very similar to Versailles, where the best of the best workers (and the friends of the royal family) are privileged to live. Unlike the Second, where hard work actually can bring you up in the world, success in Ida comes out of bribes, flattery and sex. For vibes, think Paris but even less subtle, and crazy on the amethysts.
FOURTH: Supposedly a backup to the Second. In actuality, the lack of any real leadership has left the small and vulnerable population (veterans, the sick and disabled) to the mercy of the Fourth’s criminal underbelly. The capital city of Tisis is functionally a ghost town, mostly full of impotent, sheltered nobles and extensions of the mafia collecting bribes, and the other cities aren’t much better. For vibes, think Piltover (I don’t play league of legends but I LOVE Arcane), but the upper city is way more depressing and abandoned and the whole thing has kind of an ancient Roman feel as well.
FIFTH: The administration of the Nine, the Fifth works closely with the Emperor himself to keep the internal workings of His Empire running smoothly. Koniortos Court is a complex and many-armed bureaucracy, managed by its Lords or Ladies (and Seneschals, who do most of the actual diplomacy) like clockwork. It lies nestled in the capital of Rhax, where the majority of the Fifth’s population lives and works. There are frequent rebellions, but they’re snuffed out with alarming ease. For vibes, think combination of Victorian London and the city from Ulysses Dies At Dawn.
SIXTH: Less of its own independent state and more of the Emperor’s House of Wisdom, the Sixth House is the center of learning in the Nine Houses. Almost all the Houses send the best of their best to study there, so there’s a lot of people, but its native population is incredibly small- the size of a single city on the Third. Most of the Sixth is a single huge, labyrinthine library, surrounded by dormitories and a few spaceship ports for trade with the Seventh. Rank is decided not by birth, but by ability and age (in theory, anyway; in practice, they’ve strayed a bit from Cassiopeia’s vision). It’s still very communal, and everyone considers each other family on some level. For vibes, think a walled city combined with a super old university.
SEVENTH: The Seventh is responsible for most of the beautiful things made in the Empire. They export and import a lot of art, from pottery to poetry, and are considered superior craftsmen to the Third (which is why Ianthe thinks so poorly of their cloud formation poems). Outside this, they’re largely self-sufficient and very insular, doing their own farming making regular contact with only the Sixth. The lower classes are mostly farmers, while the aristocracy is just a few families, which is how Heptanary cancer happened. For vibes, think the romanticized version of the antebellum South from old books that like to gloss over the slavery thing, but a little bit sickly and weird-looking.
EIGHTH: The religious center of the Nine, the Eighth is in control of the worship of the Emperor and his Saints, as well as the Nine’s religious traditions. They’re also responsible for a chunk of Imperial propaganda- less than the Third, though, and directed less to the shepherd worlds and more within the Nine Houses. They live similarly to the Ninth House, with religious decadence, everyday asceticism and very little social mobility. The population of the Eighth House is actually very diverse, full of pilgrims from all over the Empire. For vibes, think medieval Italy but it’s all minimalist white and it ruins the whole thing.
NINTH: We know about the Ninth. We got like ten chapters about the Ninth. For vibes, think the Ninth.

hello 👋 do you have any south east asian pics in your folder? clothes or fabrics or hair. please can you assign them asoiaf houses or regions for funsies? i’m south east asian and i’m dying to see it 😍
Yesss I love southeast Asian fashion let’s go!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
THIS IS SO OLD VALYRIA TO ME Thai fashion you will always be famous. The simple but elegant silhouette, the gauzy and silk fabrics, the intricate patterns and ofc all the of the detailed gold jewelry!!! Just imagine it giant dragon shaped crowns and ear cuffs and wrapping bracelets inlaid with gems and passed down as family heirlooms it’s too good. And the outfits themselves are perfect for the muggy and hot Valyrian weather but are still able to to exude elegance and give off a sense of power by the rich who are wearing them bc wealth is in the details!!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Vietnamese clothing my beloved I think this kind of fashion would be see on the outskirts of YiTi, (but not actually in YiTi bc ancient China is what I think of) so the close proximity would mean outfits are pretty similar. Loose pants/skirt with a loose shift, and then any number of extra skirts and robes (silk and embroidered for the rich, cotton and plain for the poor). But unlike YiTi there are not extra belts and drapes and other complex additions. Also hats!! these kind of circular hats for everyone bc the rich ladies need to keep pale skin also they live fairly close to the Red Waste
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Myanmar is kinda of giving me Volantis honestly. Many can afford to dress finely bc they’re the richest of the free cities and a trade port, so skirts and sleeves are nice and long and jewelry is made from the finest metals. But since the weather is very humid and sticky, clothes are thinner and there are never more than two layers, with the under layer being made of something breathable. And outer layers are loose enough to catch a breeze. Since the city is very old and very crowded, the general vibe feels very cramped, leading people to wear a long silhouette, instead of a wider one
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Traditional Laos clothing reminds me a lot of the Tokars worn in Ghischar and Slavers Bay. A simple straight skirt and sleeveless top (but well made and well decorated) with the addition of a long drape of fabric over one shoulder. The more expensive and longer the fabric is, the richer you are. Also lots of gold jewelry for an elegant look, probs inspired by Volantis since they’re rlly close (though maybe a little bit simpler than Valyria cause slavers bay is never going to reach that level of power soz)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And Indonesia is rlly giving me the islands and lands around Tyrosh and Myr. It’s a costal area in a hot climate so I feel like there is just a lot less need for a ton of coverage. Simply cut wrap skirts and dresses but the patterns man the patterns!!! So beautiful and have fringe and are just so unique 🫶 ALSO headdresses are very important for like religious ceremonies and weddings and such and it probably isn’t hard to get one since the Tyroshi are insane ab fashion (to me) and Myrish artisans are the best in the world so yeah

Charlie is the horny German lady which I find hilarious
Yes, I used the TGM Squad as the kids for everyone who had children in the movie
The guys all have a work past with Viper
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
He takes a seat at the counter, minding his own business as he reads a menu.
You smile as you walk inside, you always love coming here and not just because you get to see Penny and Pete, your favorite couple at the restaurant but because you get to make your waffle buildings.
‘Maybe today I’ll build a hut. Oh, and for the steam we can use coffee.’
Penny notices there’s a little pep in your step while she hands you a menu. “How are you doing, Butterfly?”
You giggle, “I’m doing just fine.”
She smiles and tells you your table is free.
He sees you enter the restaurant, sitting down in one of the empty booths in the middle of the row.
Penny turns around filling another customer’s coffee, she notices the looks he’s sending your way and needs to stop it before things can progress, you don’t need any more heartache (even if you don’t remember it today).
It would also save him from meeting your dad, who’s in charge of the port, Viper aka Mike or your cousin, Iceman aka Tom.
“I wouldn’t,” she tells him.
He furrows his brows and turns towards the waitress. “I’m sorry, what did you say?”
“You’ll only find yourself heartbroken if you try to pursue her.”
“What makes you say that?”
She purses her lips; she doesn’t find it necessary to tell him of your accident. But then she realizes he’s new and must be one of the few new cowboys that came into town.
“You’re gone for more than half of the year doing what you do. You’ve never met her but if you did and it was time to leave both of you would be crushed. Imagine how much that for a second.”
“Maybe she’d come with me.”
“She-” She sighs at the wound of glass breaking. “Excuse me while I go kick my husband out of the kitchen.”
“I didn’t do it on purpose, Pen.”
“Out of the kitchen, Maverick," a new voice says.
He doesn't know it, but it was the actual cook, Marcus.
He sighs, pushing the doors open, taking a seat beside the man. “Sounds like you did good there.”
The dejected man chuckles, “yeah.”
“Hey. You happen to know that girl sitting in the booth, would you?”
Pete glances over his slumped shoulder. “What’s it to you?”
“Woah. Woah. Why is everyone so aggressive? I was just asking a question.”
“A question that shouldn’t be asked.”
“Okay. Message received.”
“You seem like the type who won’t take no for an answer?”
Leonard chuckles, “am I really that transparent?” He chuckles to himself as he takes a sip of his coffee until he turns back to look at Pete and realizes how serious this whole thing is. “Oh, shit. Sorry, I just thought-”
“She wouldn’t go for a guy like you,” a voice says sitting on the other side of the rancher.
The two men angle their bodies to hear the man better.
Pete gives him a sarcastic smile. “Yeah, thanks for that, Cougar. We don’t need to give it any more ideas.”
“First off, it has a name and oh, she’s trying to make a door.”
The two look back and focus on you trying to get the finishing touches to your waffle house done.
He debates on walking over to you after hearing everyone’s warnings.
Clearly no one here wants to see anything bad happen to you if they’re this willing to stop him before he could try anything.
He pushes himself out of the chair, grabs a toothpick before heading over to you.
“Hey,” he starts off not to startle you entirely before sticking the toothpick in place, opening and closing the door to show you how well it works. “I thought this might help you a little more.”
You glance up at him, giving him a smile. “Well, then I guess the only thing I can say is thank you. To be honest, it probably would have taken me five minutes to figure it out, so again, I thank you for saving me from any potential embarrassment.”
Leonard lifts his hat, “I always do what I can to help a beautiful lady such as yourself.”
“Ah, I bet you say that to everyone you see then.”
He chuckles. This certainly isn’t what he was expecting when he walked over, it's different, nice even. “May I,” he gestures to the empty side of the booth.
“Please, I’d like to look a little less pathetic in front of, well everyone here.”
“I don’t think that’s possible.”
“You flatter girls to get them in your bed and expect that very thing to happen, don’t you?”
“Uh- well,” he stutters.
You shrug, “doesn’t matter now. I’m just happy to have some company even if it’s just for a minute or two.”
“Well, then I’m happy to be of service.”
You dazzle him with another smile.
This is different from the other times he's gone out with girls.
You lift your watch to check the time. “Oh, looks like it's time for me to go. Sorry,” you sheepishly shrug as you reach for your bag.
“Uh- oh, okay. Yeah, I guess it’s time I went back to work.”
You get up and barely walk past him when you stop. “Is that you?”
“Is what me?”
“The farm smell?”
His mouth opens into an “o” making it obvious he now knows what you’re talking about. “Oh, yeah. Perks of being a rancher. Sorry about the smell. I didn’t realize it was so bad.”
You shake your head. “No, it’s- it’s not that. It’s just- it's more of a comfort thing. It reminds me of my family because my dad and my cousin are in the ranching business, and this is- the smell of, well the farm, is basically what I grew up with.”
He nods, “okay, good to know I don’t smell too much like shit.”
You chuckle, shaking your head. “Happy to help but I seriously have to go now.”
“Okay.”
You head over to Penny and pay her before saying bye to everyone.
Leonard shakes his head once he sees your car leave. “She sure is something else.” He then heads over to his car, sneakily watching you leave.
-
He spends the night talking to Rick, watching his kids. “So, you gonna ask her out?”
“Me?” Leonard shakes his head, pulling Rick’s youngest, Javy, away from the fence before his beloved (crazy) goat comes over and towards the edge to scare the kids.
The rancher isn't going to have his headbutting, crossed eyed goat injure another one of his friends' kids (even if it's on them because they didn't listen). “I- no.”
“You like her?”
The kids’ “ooh” at their dad’s comment.
“What? No. She’s just- she’s... busy?”
“Excuses.” He pushes himself off the fence, “come on kids. Your uncle needs alone time to process the fact that he’s a wimp.”
The kids mumble wimp under their breaths as they walk by.
He’s left alone with his thoughts.
-
“Did she get offered any drugs today?” Mike asks his nephew.
Tom shakes his head, “no and you know she wouldn’t take anything anyway.”
“She wouldn’t know.”
The blond glances over at the older man.
“Don’t give me that look boy.”
Neither of them says anything else as they go their separate ways before going out to the garage so they can repaint the wall.
Nick and Carole walk to the open space, "hey guys."
"Do you know what got her in such a happy mood today?" Mike asks.
The couple glance at one another.
"When we went to get food, Penny said that one of the new ranchers came in and talked to her, but I don't know what happened," Carole tells him.
"A new rancher?"
She nods. "Yeah, he's the only one here who wears his hat twenty-four seven."
"And you don't know anything about this?" Tom asks Nick.
The mustached man narrows his eyes at him, "if we knew anything else we would have told you."
"I'm just checking, mother Goose. No need to get your p-"
Mike smacks his nephew on the back of his head. "Stop it. Nick take another roll and again, thank you for the food, Carole. If you could just-"
"Set it on the counter for later, I'd be happy to."
"How's life been with the baby?"
"It's been great. I know it makes her sad that we can't bring him around here. All they've wanted since they were kids was for their kids to be friends and hangout all the time."
Mike sighs, "yeah."
Carole sneaks up the stairs to check on you. She barely opens the door and sees you standing there, a smile breaks across her face. She's happy to know that you're safe and sound for another day.
-
The next day is a weird one... for Leonard.
He had no idea what was going to happen when he made his way to the restaurant, and he most certainly wasn’t expecting you to not remember him (and mean it).
Sure, he’s had a few girls say they don’t remember him but after some persuading and mentions of certain clues, they break, this time with you though, not so much.
A few minutes passed after you ran out until someone explained to him why he shouldn’t continue doing what he’s doing.
“Everyone knows but,” Penny sighs. “She was in an accident that killed her mom and left her with what the doctors believe to be permanent brain damage.”
That is the last thing Leonard was expecting to learn about you. “All those light threats make sense now.”
“Now that you know, are you going to keep trying to date her?” Penny asks him. "Because if you’re not and you break her heart, you can just leave now. We won’t tolerate that kind of behavior.”
He nods and finishes his coffee, coming up with a few ideas.
-
Rick lounges on his couch, as usual, and watches as his friend jots down a few things. “You must really like this girl if you’re so willing to do just about anything for her.”
Leonard shrugs, “I don’t think that’s it.”
“Well, you’re doing something really nice for her, someone you’ve met a few times. As for me, your best friend barely gets a birthday card.”
“You’ve been giving yourself your own gift every year.”
“Oh, yeah and what’s that?”
“Your kids.”
“Damn, you’re good.”
-
He sits at the counter in front of the kitchen, waiting for you to come in so he can ask to eat with you.
You enter, at the same time as always, greeting Penny and Pete before sitting down to look at the menu.
He stands up and walks over to you, “hey, is this seat taken?”
You look up from the menu, “yeah, that’s my boyfriend's seat.”
“Oh, it is?”
You nod, “and he won’t be happy to know that some random guy sat there while talking to his girlfriend.”
“What if we say we’re just friends?”
“Are we though? I mean, I don’t even know your name.”
“Leonard.”
“I wasn’t asking. Look, I gotta go.”
Everyone hears the commotion outside and runs out to see what’s happening, Penny and Leonard being the fastest to get outside when they hear your voice.
“It’s not- it’s October thirteenth.”
Nick slams his car door closed before rushing over, wrapping his arms around you, wanting to give you some kind of protection.
Leonard takes a step forward, ready to tell the cop everything when Penny gets to him first.
Pete grabs the cowboy, “you and Goose are gonna take her home. She needs to be with her family right now. She needs comfort.”
He nods, taking his words into consideration.
The boys get you into the car, but the ride home is a blur, you don’t even know if you’ve responded to Leonard.
-
Your father and cousin are outside before you know it.
"What happened?" Mike asks, taking in your state of distress.
Nick looks up at the older man with sad eyes. "She found out again."
He closes his eyes, rubbing his chin.
Tom comes to your other side, the two men helping you inside.
The mustached man stops the rancher before he could step any further onto his front porch. "I'm gonna have to stop you right there."
Leonard furrows his brows. "What do you mean?"
"You being here isn't good for her."
"What does that mean?"
"This is something we've done before. You have never been involved."
"How would you know?"
"You don't know her, and you don't need to concern yourself with her. I'm asking you once and only once. It's time for you to go."
The man turns around, not even waiting to see if he's going to walk away.
Nick peaks through the window, whispering, "what are you doing?"
Leonard rushes closer. "He kicked me out."
"He doesn't want her to be more heartbroken than she is. Are you here for her or for you?"
"What- why are you asking?"
"If you're here because you want to date her, I'll let you in. If not, you can turn your sorry ass around."
He didn't even have to hesitate. "Open the door."
The blond smiles and lifts the windowpane higher. "You said you'd open the door."
"I'd like to not have my ass kicked too bad, thank you."
He rolls his eyes and crawls through, listening to your cries as you listen to what you went through again.
"Can we- I want to talk to the doctor." You quietly hiccup, "I'm sure I've already talked to him but let me go again. Please?" You ask your father.
He nods and you all are off to the facility you were in for some time after your accident.
-
"It's the same thing I've told you before," Dr. Simpson finishes.
You nod, "I'm sure you have, and I appreciate you taking the time to explain it to me again."
Leonard and Nick were stuck talking to one of the patients, (ten second) Sam.
"Hi, I'm Sam."
They nod and introduce themselves to him and continue to do so until Tom grabs them by their collars, hauling them out of the building.
"You two idiots wanted to stay. Stop getting distracted."
-
Once you got home, you decided to go to your room and write in your journal, needing to process everything.
"Would it- could I go talk to her?"
Mike silently nods.
"Go get 'em, tiger."
Nick averts his gaze your dad's stern look.
-
He knocks on the door, waiting for you to answer as he removes his hat.
The door swings open.
You stare at him through your lashes. "What do you want?"
"To talk. Check on you."
"I'm fine. Go home. I'd say I'll talk to you tomorrow, but I'll forget you by midnight." You walk back into your room, leaving the door open.
He takes that as an invitation and enters. "I- uh-"
"I don't want you to feel like you have to stay after everything you’ve learned. I would understand if you didn't want to talk anymore."
"No!" He nearly screams before realizing his mistake and sits down. "I mean, I don't mind it. This- your twenty-four-hour memory is no problem. I- I actually think you're worth getting to know, every day."
You don't give him a verbal response as you nod, unsure of how to respond.
As you two bask in the silence, the other's downstairs are preparing for the next day.
-
“You coming to the garage or are you going to call Carole?” Tom asks him after his uncle walks out of the room.
“What do you think?”
Your cousin rolls his eyes, “still as lazy as the day I met you.”
“Hey, I am offended.”
“Good.”
Nick shakes his head, mumbling a variety of comebacks that he would never say out loud because he values his life.
-
Leonard reaches around, rubbing your shoulder, not realizing the time or what’s about to happen.
You wake, opening your eyes and start screaming, alerting everyone in the house.
Tom and Mike make it to your room in no time.
The older man hauls the rancher out of your room and out of the house. “I thought I told you to stay away.”
“You might have.”
“Then why aren’t you?”
“Sir, I really care about your daughter and honestly, the thought of showing her how much I care about her everyday sounds-”
“Like you’ve got some kind of ulterior motive.”
“That hurts. No, I mean, telling her every day that I care for her and making her fall for me again and again. I can’t explain it but, I know I’m the right guy for her. Everyone here cares for her and I’d like to count myself lucky enough to be a part of that community. I know you think I’m messing with her but that’s not true and even if you push me away, I will still be here and continue to stand by her.”
Mike has a lot to think about now.
He nods, “don’t come around today. She needs time to heal and take it all in, you hear me?”
“Yes, sir.”
“I’m sure I'll hear from you later. Now go.”
Leonard smiles as he leaves. He spends the day making a gift, as a precaution he doesn’t come by for a couple of days.
Leonard has a lot of things to think about.
If he stays and builds a relationship with you, he’s going to be putting his dreams on the back burner; something he’s had his mind set on for a long, long time now.
Can he, do it?
Is it worth it?
As much as it hurts him to think about, he needs to. But then he thinks of you again and it is.
He makes a mental note to email his response.
-
He knocks on the door and Tom answers it. “You’re back? I thought you decided to leave.”
The rancher shakes his head, “nope. Can’t get rid of me that easily. I- uh- I actually made something and I want to play it for her. I don’t know if it’ll help but, you never know.”
He steps aside, giving Leonard enough room to walk by.
“Thanks.”
You and your father enter the living room, seeing him placing the tape in the VHS player.
The tape plays before either of you could ask what's going on.
Your name flashes across the screen, drawing your attention along with mentions of the accident and Bradley, Carole and Nick's son who's four now.
You touch the scar hidden by your hair.
Tom stands back, waiting for what you decide to do.
Mike rubs his hand across his face. "Did you do this?"
He nods. "I did."
You take a deep breath and grab his arm, bringing him with you.
-
"Where are we going?"
You don't answer him.
"Should I be worried?"
You stop in front of your car. "Do you ever shut up?"
"I could."
"Do it now."
"Stop being mean to me or I swear I'm gonna fall in love with you."
You roll your eyes. "I need to talk to you, and I don't want to do it with my guard dogs nearby."
"Oh, sure."
He opens the door for you, earning a furrowed brow look from you.
You don't say anything as you drive to the one place no one knows about.
"Are we-"
"The accident site, yeah. I didn’t know that at the time but now that I do, it doesn't change the special value it holds."
"That's good." He turns to you, seeing the way you're staring at him. "What?"
"We need to end this."
"End what?"
"You know what."
"Honestly, I have no idea what you're talking about."
"Leonard-"
He cuts you off before you can continue. "You remember my name?"
"If you'd let me get a word in, you'd know that the only reason I know of you is because I have a journal. I've been keeping notes of everything, I just- I never realized it."
"And that means we need to not see each other anymore?"
"Exactly."
"Why?"
"You."
"I'm not following."
"You," you close your eyes, huffing through your nose. "You're so sweet and have been since we first met but you're going to get hurt."
"What makes you think that?"
"You've stayed longer than any guy ever has but to do this every day is just- I know it's a lot."
"It's nothing."
"See, that!" You point at him. "That right there is exactly why I'm ending this. You've got such a pure heart and I can't be the reason it breaks when you realize it's not worth it to stay."
"Who's to say that I'll stop feeling what I do?"
You avoid eye contact as your tears blur your vision. "You will, just like I know how my father and Tom are tired of it. They'll never admit it, but everyone has their breaking point and I think us meeting and seeing each other has pushed theirs. I'm really sorry, I like you. I do but I'm doing this to protect us."
You offer him a weak smile as the tears spill from your eyes and down your cheeks.
Before you leave to go back inside, you hand him your journal.
He pulls you back and kisses you.
Your first kiss with one another and it's amazing but can't last forever.
You pull away, walking inside with heavy steps; barely able to keep yourself together.
Tom nor Mike stops you, but they do make sure to call Nick and Carole, knowing you'll need a good day tomorrow even if you don't remember it.
-
Leonard doesn't come into the diner for a few days.
Carole sits with you at your job while Rick, Nick, and Pete drive Mike and Tom to see him off.
"What are you guys doing here?"
"We couldn't let you leave without saying goodbye," Rick tells him.
"That's nice but how do you know these guys?" Leonard points between the guys in the group.
"We used to work together before I decided to settle down," his friend explains.
"Is that what you've been telling people?" Pete asks, staring at the man with a confused expression.
Rick glances at the man, "what are you talking about? Of course, that's what I've been telling people. It's the truth."
Pete shrugs, "I just thought-"
"Thought what?"
Nick smacks the two across the back of their heads. "Alright you idiots, there's a time and a place to talk about this. Now is not it."
The two grumbled, rubbing the now sore spot.
"We came here to talk to Wolfman before he left."
"You told them?"
"We all worked for him," Rick points to Mike. "Of course, I'm going to tell them."
"Anyway," the oldest chimes in. "We're here to send you off but not before giving you this." He hands him a CD.
"Really?" The rancher asks, not understanding the sentimental thought behind it just yet.
Mike nods, "I think you'll like it. Check side B, song four. Everything will make sense after that." The older man walks away, letting the others take their time in following.
Nick pats Leonard on the back, saluting him before wishing him luck. "I wish you luck, my friend."
"I'm pretty sure you just jinxed me."
"That's for the theater and you're going to need it one way or another."
The rancher frowns.
Pete chuckles, "you really leaving?"
The blond shrugs. "What else can I do? She told me she doesn't want me, and I can't force myself into her life, you know. Whether she remembers me or not. I'm going to respect her decision."
"That's really nice of you, not everyone would do that."
"I keep telling you I'm not like everyone."
"And I understand why. You're going to do great, kid."
The man in the cowboy hat purses his lips as his brows knit together in confusion. "If I'm not mistaken, we're the same age."
"Potato, potahtoe."
"Not the same."
Pete smirks and slaps his arm before jogging to Mike's car.
"You really want to leave?" Rick asks, standing beside him, resting his arms on the fence. "Because I'm not buying this whole "I can do this" thing. I mean, from what I've heard it sounds like you love her but who am I to assume."
Leonard shakes his head, "you heard wrong."
"That's a load of bull and you know it."
"You'll never know."
"The kids are going to miss you."
"They'll find something else to occupy them."
“You know they won’t.”
“Whatever you say, man.”
Rick’s hand hovers over his friend’s shoulder, he doesn’t pat him like everyone else had (knowing he’ll be back in no time). “You’re an idiot.”
Leonard lets out a dry, “thanks.”
Tom gives him a knowing look, “you know I’m right.”
“If you’re just going to be a jerk, leave with the others. I don’t want to talk to you.”
“You said you were going to stay by her side no matter what. What happened to that guy?”
“She made the decision. She doesn’t want me around; thinks she’s going to save me from heartache or something.”
“You’re an idiot.” Tom walks away, leaving him with his thoughts.
Leonard shakes his head, not understanding half of what just happened; all he knows is that he’s offended. He hops in his truck, his heart heavy and mind full of useless thoughts; he places the CD in the car player.
Half forgetting he’s had the damn thing this whole time and never once thought to use it. He skips to the song Mike told him to play.
He’s barely on the road for ten minutes and gets out of his thoughts, his fingers stop tapping along to the beat on the steering wheel when he slams on the brakes. “Holy shit! Holy- no way. No way!”
His smile is as wide as can be. “I knew the old man liked me.”
He turns the car around and heads towards the office you visited when you were told about the accident again.
-
He runs through the door, trying to sneak in by the security guards before anyone can kick him out.
“Hey, where do you think you’re going?” He turns to face them, removing his hat.
He shrugs, not saying a word.
Maybe playing dumb would be easier?
The taller of the two stares at him with raised brows as his partner takes in Leonard’s appearance. “Go on in.”
Ron turns to Charles, “what’s wrong with you? What if he was a murderer or some psycho?”
“Did he look like a psycho to you?”
“No but-”
“But nothing. I got good vibes from him.”
“What did you smoke for breakfast?”
“I’m not answering that,” Charles says, checking the computer for today’s schedule.
“If someone gets murdered, I’m not protecting you.”
“Dick move.”
“Cya, man.”
“What?”
Ron pats his shoulder, “cover your ass. I’d remember that if I were you.”
-
Leonard runs into the room, eyes scanning all around and over anyone in the room, only to not find you, for the moment.
He wanders further into the room, tempted to ask around when he sees ten second Sam and decides not to, there’s too much time that could be wasted and he can’t waste a second right now.
You turn the corner, not noticing him as you help someone outline the outline of their sketch.
A voice calls out to you, and you turn, finding him.
“Hi? Do you- nevermind, stupid question. Could I- uh- could I talk to you for a minute?” He asks.
You know everyone here will be fine for a few minutes. You hesitate to answer him. “I- we can- just- just follow me.”
-
You two stand in your special art room. “Have we met before?”
His chin juts out. “What?” His eyes wander around the room, finally understanding.
“As you can see, I’ve seen you before. I mean, I know I’ve talked to you, but I don’t remember it. You- you haunt my dreams. I’ve seen us in my favorite restaurant, as if we were on a date and- and I don’t know if it was real or not.” He can see how it’s wracking your brain to try and remember something that won’t be there.
He nods, “we have. We’ve met a few times.”
“That’s all you’re going to say?”
He holds a journal in front of you, “if you really want to find out, read this. It’ll tell you everything.”
You stare at the cover, wondering if you should read it or not.
You hold it close to your chest and stretch your hand out for him. “Hi.”
He raises his brow but shakes your hand. “Hi?”
“We’re starting over.”
“Oh, that makes more sense.”
The door opens, “Hi, “I’m Sam.”
You purse your lips, trying to hold in your laughter.
“And our special moment has a little twist.”
“Leave Sam out?”
He nods, “we’re leaving him out.”
You nod and slowly remove your hand from his. “Hi, I’m Sam.”
“I swear to-”
-
You push open the door and cover your eyes when the sun hits you. Leonard turns around and smiles at the sight of you looking as beautiful as always. “Hey, you’re up.”
You nod, your eyes landing on your precious baby boy, Jake, pretending to be like his dad with ranching.
“How are you feeling this morning?”
Your daughter, Natasha, runs over to you with her arms open for a hug.
Everyone always says that a mother and her child share a special bond, in this case it’s true because you open your arms and scoop her up, holding her close to you, even if it is a little strange just finding out she’s your daughter after watching the video Leonard made for you.
“I’m okay, a little weird this morning.”
“I don’t blame you.”
You tilt your head up at him, staring at him like you’re trying to memorize his face. “I think Tom’s doing things he shouldn’t.”
He turns around, finding your cousin doing the exact opposite of what he told him to and hands Jake to your father so he can help your cousin from messing up his ranch (any more than he already has). “Son of a-”
“Language!” You and Mike shout.
“I wasn’t going to actually say it,” Leonard tells you two.
You and your dad share a look. “He’s your husband, you take care of it.” And he walks away.
“So rude,” you mumble to yourself.
“Hey guys!” Nick and Carole wave as Bradley runs towards Natasha (who hasn’t left your side until this moment).
You smile and wave back, hugging Carole tightly.
“Let's go inside and see what you have in your kitchen for breakfast.”
You lean in closer to her, whispering, “does he ever eat? I swear he is always raiding my pantry.”
“Fast metabolism.”
“I don’t buy it.”
“Can I tell you something?” She asks.
You nod.
“Neither do I.”
-
You, Carole, and Nick grimace at the sight of Leonard's friend and his coworker-
"Can they eat each other's faces somewhere else?" Nick mumbles. "I'm trying to eat here."
You and her share a look.
"You're still eating," his wife points out.
He shrugs. "I can't pass up when Sundown cooks. That'd be like disrespecting Penny."
Leonard walks through the door and grimaces. "You two need to stop trying to eat each other and enjoy breakfast. This is not what I imagined when I suggested you two go out."
Charlotte and Rick part from one another, offering weak apologies.
You and Carole can't help but laugh.
The rancher turns around at the sound of your laughter and knows that he wouldn’t trade this for the world.

Kid is such a sexy horny God 🔥😍
Do you think he also fucks the female Members in his Crew (like Quincy or Hip)? 👀🤔 Maybe he has a big harem on his ship 🤪.
What about Killer? Is he a Lady-Killer or Is he too shy because of his Looks or does he follow kids example 🙄
I've always had a head canon that the ship is very polycule-like.
I think it would take 5 miles of string and half a forest of paper for someone to map out all the connections and relationships between the members of the crew. Most of it is because I think they're all very sex positive.
Safe practices, lots of open-mindedness, huge cuddle piles, etc. Sure they're big and loud and brash, and there's probably hardly a filter between the lot of them, but consent is king and not even Kid is above that.
I feel like they hit up the brothels and such in any port they find them and the people there love the crew. They tip over the amount of whatever the cost is, keep other patrons in line free of charge, and the workers are fawned over. The crew appreciates the skill and efforts of professionals, after all.
I also think concepts like Top/Bottom and Dom/Sub are very blurry. Yeah, people have what they vibe, but if someone wants to try something out, Kid'll volunteer even if it puts him in a position he doesn't usually fill. Not just because new is fun, but also because if something is risky, Kid's going to be the one taking the risk before anyone else on crew.
I bet they get surprisingly clinical and technical too, when talking about ideas and setups.
Idk - they're rough and brash and loud, but I definitely feel like they have a very "sex is fun and should be fun" kind of view.

a
i like this sorta ranty blogging style, brings back feelings of the old internet
flalout
Tumblr media
to continue my love of the toyger hair i ported an oblivion port of the hair into fnv since i dun have the knowhow or patience to backport skyrim's nifs into the fo3/fnv era gamebyro engine plus someone made a freckled race (sadly hidden from the nexus as of writing)
Tumblr media
unfortunately the preset for the freckled race was not sufficiently cute enough for me, so i decided to crack open the g.e.c.k. n make a freckled asian race
Tumblr media
guess more than anything its a hapa race lol dunno where i put the files, so prolly lost to the zone
Tumblr media
oh, and the reason why i felt that the lobotomite texture would work for a creepy-cute design is i played a bit (probably for 5 mins before quitting from a trauma loop in DUST) with the playable lobotomite mod and managed to mess with the sliders to make a kinda cute lady. fllatou 4 have toyger will tomboy
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
also tried making a tired/sad girl instead of a tomboy
Tumblr media Tumblr media
pretty proud of her since she conveys the exact vibe i want
Tumblr media Tumblr media
fits with the total desperation of FROST though unfortunately by the time i got done taking a handful of screenshots of her i lost interest in playing also yey not using the toyger hairdo for the umpteenth time
eh why not bonus sims segment i have an unhealthy like for character creators
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
wanted to try making an unconventional lass, ended up with a NEET goblin
think i had that one jewish girl who photo got posted occasionally on 4chins n popopoka's blind girl in mind when i made her
am tired now dunno if i'll do any more posts like this aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah bye
