Apex and Zenith, the golden dog of creation and the jet black dog of destruction. Locked in eternal petty feud, chasing each other’s tails, there is no sense to their actions but to spite each other.

the main character was so grating and annoying at first but that really just makes how straight they play his personality actually the most compelling thing about the game. the two sidekicks are so badly written it physically hurts but the main character is like actually succeeding at being a subversion of something

Kurtz: I could stomp Jughead like the weak, weeping little parasite he is. I could feast on his blood tonight if I wanted to.
F.P: Stop holding him like a toddler, then
Kurtz, currently holding Jughead with one arm and pointing a sword at Sweet Pea: Hm. No.

If you've followed me long enough, you might have noticed that I talk about my OCs and this thing called Ergon. I can finally say that this illustration can give more context.
The girl in red is Riley, the protagonist and the woman in the back is the antagonist Kurtz, the mayor of the city of Ergon, a place of elites that prizes the "best of the best". When Riley moves into Ergon, she is overwhelmed by what she has to measure up to. With the weight of her father's recent death, Riley has to forge her own path through finding her self-worth and uniqueness, sometimes with the help of friends and family, sometimes by herself. Throughout her journey, she meets Kurtz, who Riley perceives as a role model, but Kurtz is not the all-generous and self-sacrificing politician she presents herself to be.

You know that sort of best friend duo consisting of a good, friendly character with an abrasive, more troubled character? Not only would my characters Lola Mosquita and Victoria Floreciendo have such a friendship, but I also feel like El Dolor De Kurtz and El Fundador would be the faculty version of this. Perhaps the two guys have known each other for years, even before El Dolor De Kurtz “went bad”. And in both versions of my adopted AU, I can imagine them offering each other advice and one acting as a sort of second parental figure toward Irene of the Night.

City Night~
First time drawing a background!
It was a matter of trying, failing and redoing it all over again. I have a feeling that I can do better, so I'm gonna start studying backgrounds for the time being.
But overall, I liked the result.
— If you're curious, I used some brushes from @tamberella free pack. Go check their art, it's mesmerizing.

"This is childish, Sage," Mateo says as he stands himself back up.
"Ooooh! Mister All-Star speaks!" I mock. He steps closer to me, towering over me. I feel my heart quickening.
"Stop making a scene," he hisses, looking down at me and staring daggers. It makes me throw my head back and laugh for some reason.
"Oooh! You want a scene?! I can show you a scene!" I challenge him.
Kris puts a hand on my shoulder and tugs on it in an effort to bring me back to our table. I try to shrug him off.
"Sage, just leave it. He's not worth it."
He's not worth it? No, Kris misunderstands. He's worth everything to me.
I shake my head at Mateo and laugh at him. "I'll see you in the rink, Finnegan."
