The upcoming benefit, celebrating the New York Public Library's Billy Rose Theatre Division, honors George C. Wolfe and the late Harold Prince.

Additional artists have joined the upcoming I'm Still Here benefit, celebrating the 90th anniversary of The New York Public Library for the Performing Arts’ Billy Rose Theatre Division and the 50th anniversary of its Theatre on Film and Tape Archive.

Honoring Tony-winning directors George C. Wolfe and the late Harold Prince, I’m Still Here will stream on Broadway on Demand June 23 at 8 PM ET.

Jason Robert Brown, Savion Glover, Priscilla Lopez, Susan Stroman, Marisha Wallace, and Christopher Wheeldon have joined the starry roster of participants. The evening, as previously announced, will also feature archival content of several Broadway productions preserved in the archive, including the newly announced Angela Bassett and Samuel L. Jackson in The Mountaintop; Bette Midler in I'll Eat You Last; Brian Stokes Mitchell in Ragtime; Kelli O'Hara and Paulo Szot in South Pacific; Christian Borle and Tim Curry in Spamalot; and Craig Bierko and Rebecca Luker in The Music Man.

Lili Reinhart Is the New Face of CoverGirl!

Lili Reinhart is having one hell of a year — and that's putting it lightly. In addition to starring in the box office hit Hustlers alongside Cardi B and Jennifer Lopez, she's been slaying as the beloved Betty Cooper in the fourth season of Riverdale and promoting her upcoming poetry book, Swimming Lessons, which is set to hit shelves next year. As if that weren't enough, she's also acting and producing a film for Amazon Studios based on Krystal Sutherland's 2016 novel, Chemical Hearts. The girl can do it all.

Now, the 23-year-old wunderkind has yet another title to add to her already-impressive résumé: CoverGirl ambassador.

Joining the roster of beauty legends like Maye Musk, Issa Rae, and Zendaya (to name just a few), Reinhart will serve as the face of a still-top-secret CoverGirl collection that's due to drop next spring. Given her unstoppable career and the unique relationship she has with her 20 million followers — not to mention Riverdale's notorious feature of CoverGirl products — it's no wonder the drugstore giant chose Reinhart to be its new ambassador.

CoverGirl's vice president of marketing, Erika Woods, shed some light on the brand's decision to go with Reinhart, writing in a statement: "We're excited for Lili to join our family as she embodies a woman who is unapologetically herself — she is authentic, talented, and truly lives by what she believes in."

As for Reinhart's response, she couldn't be happier and feels honored to represent a brand that champions folks for who they are. In a statement sent to Allure via email, she says the following:

"I have always been a huge believer in embracing one's uniqueness and finding ways to feel good in your own skin. Since I was 13, makeup has been an incredible source of confidence for me and a tool that can be used to enhance the natural beauty that exists in all of us," she says. Lili Reinhart Is the New Face of CoverGirl

Allure got the exclusive on the star's exciting new role.

Lili Reinhart is having one hell of a great year — and that's putting it lightly. In addition to starring in the box office hit Hustlers alongside Cardi B and Jennifer Lopez, she's been slaying as the beloved Betty Cooper in the fourth season of Riverdale and promoting her poetry book, Swimming Lessons, which is set to hit shelves next year. As if that weren't enough, she's also acting and producing a film for Amazon Studios based on Krystal Sutherland's 2016 novel, Chemical Hearts. The girl can do it all.

Now, the 23-year-old wunderkind has yet another title to add to her already-impressive résumé: CoverGirl ambassador.

Joining the roster of beauty legends including Maye Musk, Issa Rae, and Zendaya (to name just a few), Reinhart will serve as the face of a still-top-secret CoverGirl collection that's due to drop next spring. Given her unstoppable career and the unique relationship she has with her 20 million followers — not to mention Riverdale's notorious featuring of CoverGirl products — it's no wonder the drugstore giant chose Reinhart to be its newest ambassador. Fun fact: She did her own makeup for the campaign announcement photo. How cool is that?

Erika Woods, CoverGirl's vice president of marketing, shed some light on the brand's decision to go with Reinhart, writing in a statement: "We're excited for Lili to join our family as she embodies a woman who is unapologetically herself — she is authentic, talented, and truly lives by what she believes in."

As for Reinhart's response, she couldn't be happier and feels honored to represent a brand that champions folks for who they are. In a statement sent to Allure via email, she says: "I have always been a huge believer in embracing one's uniqueness and finding ways to feel good in your own skin. Since I was 13, makeup has been an incredible source of confidence for me and a tool that can be used to enhance the natural beauty that exists in all of us," she says. "I am so honored to partner with CoverGirl, an iconic brand that is inclusive of anyone who finds the joy in playing with makeup."

We'll be here counting down the days until CoverGirl announces its new collection with Reinhart front and center. Until then, a huge congrats to the actress on such an incredible accomplishment. And to think: This is only the beginning for her.

ACC Announces Fall 2018 Vice President’s List and Dean's List

Alvin Community College recognized students for making the Fall 2018 Vice President’s and Dean’s Lists during a reception on February 19.

To be eligible for the Dean’s List, students must earn at least a 3.75 grade point average for 8 to 11 or more credit hours in a semester. To be eligible for the Vice President’s List, students must earn a 3.6 grade point average in 12 or more credit hours in a semester.

Hello everyone. My name is Krystal Lopez, and up until recently I have always hoped my anxiety would resolve itself. A year ago I was in a relationship that was cut short, only to realize that I did not truly love that person and that in the process I had lost myself. A few months after that relationship ended I met the love of my life. She is beautiful, she is smart, and she is the most caring and loving human being that I know. She is the true definition of resilience. Last night my anxiety almost sabotaged my relationship. I completely and utterly lost my shit. After my previous breakup, as I stated before I met the love of my life. 8 months later, I moved 2,000 miles away from my home, the beautiful city of Chicago. Leaving behind my family and friends, the decision to leave was an easy one because in my mind the love that I had finally and so rightfully deserved would heal me and make my demons go away. Well it’s been four months and those demons are still there. When I left Chicago, I thought I left my problems there but I didn’t in fact, I came to realize that they haunted me now more than ever. They have clouded my sight so much that they sometimes stop me from seeing all of the beautiful things that life has given me. Things like my beautiful and loving girlfriend, our smart and innocent little girl, and of course my cat Diana. Since I’ve been in California, I realized how lonely I was. I have no friends here, my family is 2,000 mils away. I suck at calling my mom and I’m always so damn angry at the world.

Last night, while stoned as all hell, I lost control. I had a full blown anxiety attack. I questioned everything about my life. My girlfriend, my decision to come to California, EVERYTHING. I learned that the monster that had shown itself was my anxiety. Picture this: You have everything that you could ever want, anything that you could ever possibly imagine and in your head there is this little ugly demon eating you up from the inside out. A little voice putting doubt and fear into your head, dude I am 28 years old and I’m literally afraid of EVERYTHING. I’ve just barely gotten my wisdom teeth taken out 3 weeks ago. I quit smoking for 20 days only to have one anxiety attack and pick up the habit again. I don’t even have a driver’s license yet. I AM 28 YEARS OLD GUYS. What the fuck have I been doing with my life?! Well, I’ve decided that today is the day I take control over my life. I’m going to finally get therapy for this crippling anxiety that I have. I am going to conquer it. I know there will be days where I feel like I cannot carry on much longer. But I know that won’t be true. I did a huge thing last night: I called my ex-girlfriend, to get the closure that I needed. You know what? SHE FUCKING LISTENED. It was the greatest feeling ever. I conquered something that was literally eating away at me. One thing she said really resonated with me. She said this: “Dude, I have always been rooting for you, and I wish we could’ve had this opportunity to talk before you left. But i am happy to hear from you, I hope you do well.” As weird as it was to hear that, it really helped.

I am here to say this. If there is anyone out there who feels this way just know this: YOU ARE NOT ALONE AND I AM WITH YOU. WE WILL GET THROUGH THIS TOGETHER. I am here to share my story of recovery in the hopes that it can reach the people who suffer with anxiety disorder just as I do. I will share my good days and I will share the bad. This blog is not just to help me but to help any and every person who is dealing with the same thing as I am. You don’t have to do this alone anymore, I am with you. Together we can overcome this and we can not only survive, but we can truly live.

Este lunes, la alcaldesa electa de Acapulco  Abelina López Rodríguez, acompañó a la gobernadora electa Evelyn Salgado Pineda en su gira de agradecimiento en el puerto.

Durante su discurso, López Rodríguez agradeció a los acapulqueños y reafirmó los compromisos realizados en campaña, asegurando que se puede revisar su trabajo de 35 años en los que ha servido al pueblo con cargo y sin cargo, lo que da garantía de que realizará un buen gobierno.

“Revisen mi actuar, en mis 35 años de trabajo me avalan mi honestidad, no es una cuestión de retórica, es una cuestión de realidades, no vengo a mentirles con doble discurso, mi honestidad está comprobada en mi quehacer político”, dijo.

A su vez, Abelina López Rodríguez, se comprometió a que en sus primeros cien días de gobierno, solucionará el problema de descarga de aguas negras ubicado en la zona de playa Papagayo.

“Me dejo de llamar Abelina si no quito foco de aguas negras cerca del Hotel Krystal”.

Por su parte, la gobernadora electa, Evelyn Salgado Pineda aseguró que realizarán un gran equipo a lado de Abelina López y ofreció todo su respaldo para llevar a cabo el proyecto de la morenista para dotar de agua a Acapulco, incluyendo la zona rural.

“Yo sé que vamos a hacer un gran equipo por Acapulco y un gran equipo por Guerrero, vamos a tener una perfecta coordinación; hay un proyecto del agua que tiene nuestra compañera Abelina y vamos a entrarle con todo al problema del agua”, indicó Evelyn Salgado.
