[Bibimbap is a very traditional Korean dish which we've kind of given a Minnesota flair. Reference points corresponded, but Redrick felt no satisfaction, the rice is grilled crisp, there's the pork burger patty, gonna take a local beef and a local pork]

Seoul's bustling city lights painted a vivid canvas as Y/n and Jimin sat in a secret and quiet area of their favorite restaurant, savoring the delectable flavors of their homeland. The aroma of sizzling Korean delicacies filled the air, adding to the festive atmosphere of the lively eatery.
Jimin couldn't resist his playful nature, and as he took a sip of his tea, he asked with a mischievous grin, "Okay, so let me get this straight, you broke up last week with Jungkook because he wants to fuck you right seven days a week?" His laughter was infectious, causing Y/n to sigh in defeat.
"Seriously, Jimin? Is that all you think about?" Y/n rolled her eyes playfully, unable to hold back a smile. "Yes, that's one of the reasons, but it's not the only one. Our physical relationship became overwhelming, and I didn't expect that to be such a challenge in our relationship."
Jimin couldn't stop laughing, imagining poor Jungkook keeping track of his seven-day schedule. "I can't even imagine! How does he have that much energy? Is he secretly training for the Olympics?"
Y/n chuckled, playing along with Jimin's comedic flair. "You should know, you used to live with him! Maybe he's been doing some intense stamina training behind my back."
Jimin laughed heartily, "Oh, Y/n, you always have the most interesting stories. Who would've thought that 'too much love' could be an issue?"
"Do you think I'm being silly?" Y/n asked, her tone more serious.
Jimin reached out and patted his friend's hand reassuringly. "Not at all! Relationships are complicated, and each one is unique. What matters is how you feel and what you need. Relationships should have a healthy balance of emotional and physical connection. Maybe he didn't fully understand how exhausting it was for you."
"Do you think so?" Y/n asked, hoping for some insight from his ever-entertaining friend.
Jimin nodded thoughtfully. "Well, you know how guys can sometimes get carried away by their 'manly urges.' Perhaps he thought he was auditioning for a K-drama series titled 'Seven Nights of Passion.'"
Y/n couldn't help but giggle at the mental image. "Okay, that's enough pun-ishment for me."
Jimin grinned. "Deal! But in all seriousness, communication is key. Have an open and honest conversation with him about how you feel. If he truly cares about you, he'll understand and find a way to meet you halfway."
Y/n nodded, feeling grateful for his friend's support. "You're right, Jimin. It's time for a serious heart-to-heart. No puns, no innuendos, just a genuine conversation about our needs and expectations."
Jimin raised an eyebrow playfully. "Wait, no puns? Are you sure you're not pun-ishing me too harshly?"
Y/n laughed, rolling her eyes in mock annoyance. "Okay, just one pun. But only if you promise to be serious when I need it."
With a grin, Jimin encouraged Y/n to continue, "Anyways, tell me more, spill the spicy details!"
"Well," Y/n began, "ever since we decided to take a break, I swear I've been seeing Jungkook everywhere. It's like he's haunting me or something."
Jimin raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "Everywhere? Like how?"
Y/n nodded, looking a bit flustered. "Well..."
-
Y/n sat on the train, her earphones on, listening to her favorite K-pop playlist. The rhythmic beats tried to drown out her thoughts, but memories of Jungkook kept resurfacing. She leaned her head against the window, feeling a mix of emotions from nostalgia to frustration.
As the train pulled to a stop at a station, Y/n glanced up from her reverie and caught a glimpse of something that made her heart skip a beat. There, just outside the window, hanging onto the train was Jungkook, his signature smile plastered on his face. He waved enthusiastically, trying to get her attention.
Y/n blinked, thinking she must be imagining things again. "No way," she mumbled to herself, her eyes widening as she looked again. "This can't be real."
But there he was, unmistakably Jungkook, waving like a happy kid. A shiver ran down Y/n's spine, and she decided to pull out her earphones to make sure she wasn't hearing things too.
The music stopped, and the train's ambient noises filled the void. Y/n's heart pounded in her chest as she stared at Jungkook outside the train. "What on earth is going on?" she whispered, her mind racing with disbelief.
She leaned back in her seat, trying to gather her thoughts, hoping that this was all a bizarre coincidence. "Okay, breathe, Y/n. It's probably just someone who looks like him," she said, attempting to reassure herself.
Summoning the courage to face the possibility, Y/n looked up once more, and her jaw dropped. Jungkook was still there, hanging on the outside of the train, waving even more enthusiastically now.
"Y/n, are you alright?" a concerned voice asked from the seat next to her.
She turned to find an elderly woman looking at her with worry in her eyes. "I, uh, I think I just saw someone I know outside the train," Y/n stammered, trying to make sense of it all.
The woman chuckled kindly. "Oh, dear. Must be your mind playing tricks on you. Don't worry too much about it."
Nodding, Y/n closed her eyes, trying to compose herself. "You're right. Maybe I need some sleep or something."
When she opened her eyes again and looked outside, Jungkook was gone. The train had already left the station, and there was no sign of him anywhere.
"Y/n, are you sure you're okay?" the woman asked again, genuine concern in her voice.
Y/n managed a weak smile. "I think I will be. Thank you for checking on me."
-
Jimin chuckled, "That's your mind playing tricks on you, Y/n. It's common after a breakup to see the person you were with in random places."
"It sounds ridiculous, I know!" Y/n chuckled, "But wait, there's more. Another time, when I was walking home in the afternoon, I swear I saw him lying lifeless in the middle of the street. But when the paramedics came, he suddenly got up and chased after me with flowers!"
Jimin couldn't contain his laughter, "This is better than a K-drama! You should write a romantic comedy based on your experiences! Or, you know, since Jungkook is part of the biggest group in the world, not to brag, this could make a very good music video."
Y/n chuckled, "You got jokes Jimin, I know it sounds crazy! But wait, there's more. One stormy night, I was walking home, and he was once again following me, and as the wind picked up, he flew away!"
Jimin's eyes widened with amusement, "Y/n, you've got quite the imagination! Flying ex-boyfriends are a new one for me!"
"And it doesn't end there, I also dreamt of going to his funeral," Y/n continued, "and he wasn't even dead! He used it as an opportunity to finally talk to me. Can you believe it?"
Jimin burst into laughter again, "You are one crazy dreamer, my friend!"
Y/n couldn't help but laugh along with Jimin. "I know, it's ridiculous! I must be losing my mind."
Jimin placed a comforting hand on Y/n's shoulder. "You're not losing your mind, Y/n. Breakups can mess with your emotions and make you see things differently. But you know what? Maybe all these wild experiences are just a way for your subconscious to process the breakup and your feelings for Jungkook."
"Do you think so?" Y/n asked, feeling a bit more reassured.
"Absolutely!" Jimin exclaimed. "But remember, you need to talk to Jungkook honestly about how you feel. Maybe he's been trying to reach out to you and make things right."
Y/n nodded, "You're right, Jimin. I can't keep avoiding him forever. We need to have a sit-down conversation."
Jimin smiled, "That's the spirit! You've got this, Y/n. And no more flying ex-boyfriends, okay?"
Y/n laughed, "Deal! No more wild imaginings. Just a simple, honest conversation."
-
Its Wednesday, and like always the laundromat was bustling with customers, and Y/n found herself in the midst of the chaos, trying to navigate her way through the maze of washing machines. Clutching her laundry basket, she sighed, wondering if she would ever get her laundry done in peace.
Little did she know that lurking behind her, sitting nonchalantly on top of some washing machines, was none other than Jungkook, with his hands tucked into the pockets of his hoodie. He watched her intently, ready to seize any opportunity to talk to her.
As Y/n moved to the next row of washing machines, Jungkook stealthily followed, trying to get her attention. "Y/n, please, just talk to me! You love when I jump right in, I'm offering all of me and I can show you what devotion is, " he implored with puppy dog eyes.
Ignoring him, Y/n pretended not to notice and continued sorting her laundry. She hoped that he would get the message and leave her alone, but Jungkook seemed persistent.
"You wrap around me and you give me life" he insisted, stepping closer to her, "And that's why night after night, I'll be fucking' you right!"
Y/n's patience was wearing thin, and the laundromat's chaos was only adding to her stress. She tried to maintain her cool, but Jungkook's continuous pestering was getting under her skin.
As they stood across from each other, the unthinkable happened – the laundromat started to flood! At first, Y/n didn't pay much attention to it, thinking it was just a minor issue with the machines. But as the water reached ankle-deep, she realized something was seriously wrong.
"Oh great, just what I needed," Y/n muttered, rolling her eyes at the absurdity of the situation.
But Jungkook continued to love-bomb her, completely oblivious to the fact that they were now standing in knee-deep water. "We can have the most amazing time together!"
The situation was becoming absurd, and Y/n couldn't believe Jungkook's persistence. As they continued to stand across from each other, the water in the laundromat started to rise steadily.
"I can leave you with an afterglow if you just let me." Jungkook pleaded, seemingly oblivious to the rising water.
"Do you not see what's happening?" Y/n exclaimed, gesturing to the water around them. "The place is flooding, and all you can think about is getting back together?"
Jungkook smiled sheepishly, scratching the back of his head. "I guess I got carried away with my feelings."
"Do you always have to make everything about you?" Y/n snapped, frustration boiling over. "I need space to think, and you're not making it easy."
As the water reached their knees, Jungkook's determination didn't waver. "I'll do anything to make you happy, Y/n. Just tell me what you want, and I'll do it."
"Do you really think you can fix everything with just words?" Y/n said, shaking her head. "Actions speak louder, you know."
The water continued to rise, reaching their chests now. Y/n couldn't believe the absurdity of the situation. "This is insane. I can't believe I'm standing here, having this conversation with you while we're both drenched!"
Jungkook seemed undeterred by the flood, still trying to get closer to Y/n. "I love you, Y/n, and I'll do anything to prove it."
"Do you even hear yourself?" she exclaimed, exasperated. "This is not romantic; it's just ridiculous."
As the water continued to rise, Y/n decided she'd had enough. Without any warning, she took a deep breath and dived underwater, trying to escape Jungkook's relentless pursuit. To her surprise, Jungkook followed suit, diving after her like a determined swimmer.
Y/n emerged from underneath the water of the flooded laundromat, gasping for breath as she coughed up water. She looked around, expecting to see Jungkook still pursuing her with that playful grin on his face, but to her surprise, there was no trace of him anywhere.
"Did he finally give up?" she wondered aloud, scanning the area. The water had risen considerably, and the laundromat was now a watery mess. Customers were evacuating, and staff members were rushing to address the flooding.
Shaking her head to clear her thoughts, Y/n decided it was time to leave. She waded through the water, heading towards the exit. As she stepped out onto the street, she glanced back at the laundromat one last time, half-expecting Jungkook to pop out from behind a machine or splash around in the water.
But there was still no sign of him.
"What is going on?" She asks herself. Shrugging off her doubts, Y/n decided to focus on more pressing matters – like finding a dry place to change out of her soaking-wet clothes
-
As the rain poured down on the darkened streets, Y/n walked with a heavy heart, her clothes drenched from the unexpected downpour. Her mind was a whirlwind of emotions, and she couldn't help but feel a mix of frustration and amusement at the reason behind her breakup with Jungkook. Who would've thought that their love would be tested by something as absurd as seven-day-a-week intimacy?
As she trudged along, she heard faint footsteps behind her, and when she turned around, she half-expected to see Jungkook standing there, his smile cheeky as ever. But the street was empty, and she sighed, "Great, now I'm even imagining Jungkook in the rain. I'm officially losing it."
But the footsteps persisted, and to her utter surprise, when she turned back around, there he was – Jungkook, looking as soaked and bedraggled as she felt. He was panting slightly from running to catch up with her.
"Y/n!" Jungkook exclaimed between breaths, "I knew I'd find you. I can't let you walk home alone in this rain."
She blinked in disbelief, unsure if she was hallucinating or not. "You followed me in the rain to apologize for the whole seven-days-a-week thing?"
Jungkook nodded earnestly, water dripping from his hair. "Yes, I need to talk to you. I realized how ridiculous and unfair it was of me to expect that from you. I'm sorry, Y/n."
"Do you have any idea how silly that whole thing was?" she asked, a smile tugging at the corners of her lips.
Jungkook's eyes widened, and he chuckled, "Yeah, I know. It sounds absurd now that I think about it."
"Do you have any idea how tired I would be if we actually attempted that?" Y/n continued, unable to suppress her laughter any longer.
Jungkook grinned sheepishly, "Yeah, it would've been impossible, huh?"
"Absolutely!" she replied, her laughter ringing in the rain-soaked air. "I mean, did you think we were training for an Olympic event or something?"
"I guess I got carried away with my 'manly urges,'" Jungkook admitted with a playful shrug.
Y/n shook her head in amusement, "Well, lesson learned, I hope. Next time, let's not turn our relationship into a K-drama plot."
"I promise," Jungkook said, his eyes sparkling with sincerity. "I won't let something so silly come between us again."
"Do you really expect me to take you back after all this?" she teased, enjoying the moment of lightheartedness.
Jungkook stepped closer, raindrops creating a misty barrier between them. "Yes, I do. Because I realized that I love you, Y/n. And not just for seven days a week, but every single day, no matter the weather."
Her heart fluttered at his words, and she couldn't help but be charmed by his determination and genuine remorse. "You're lucky I have a soft spot for silly boys like you," she said, her lips curling into a playful smile.
"Then does that mean you'll take me back?" Jungkook asked, hope evident in his eyes.
Y/n pretended to ponder for a moment, then stuck out her hand. "Well, since you're already soaked and looking like a lost puppy, I suppose you can walk me home."
Jungkook's face broke into a wide grin as he took her hand, interlocking their fingers. "Deal! And I promise no more crazy demands, just a whole lot of love and laughter."
As they walked side by side in the rain, laughter and joyous banter filling the air, Jungkook couldn't help himself but playfully sing, "I'll be loving you right, seven days a week. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday."
"That would be a catchy song," Jungkook remarked, looking pleased with himself.
Y/n's eyes sparkled mischievously as she recalled her conversation with Jimin earlier. "You know," she said, "if you ever decide to make a music video for that song, I have a fun plot idea."
Jungkook raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "Oh, really? Do tell."
"Well," Y/n began, "imagine this – a guy who's obsessed with the idea of love seven days a week. He tries to make his partner happy with grand gestures, but it's all a bit much for her. She's tired and overwhelmed, just like I was. And the guy, played by you, keeps popping up everywhere she goes, just like you did in my crazy imaginings."
Jungkook laughed, "So, basically a music video version of our ridiculous situation?"
"Exactly!" Y/n grinned. "It would be comedic and lighthearted, showing that love can be wonderful and fun but also overwhelming if taken to the extreme."
"I love it," Jungkook said, nodding appreciatively. "And you know what? We could even do an explicit version of the song, where I say 'fucking' instead of 'loving,' just to make it a clear representation of what we just went through."
Y/n burst into laughter, covering her mouth in amusement. "Oh, Jungkook! Only you would come up with such an idea. It's genius and utterly ridiculous at the same time."
He winked at her, "That's what I do best."
Y/n looked at him, an amused glint in her eyes, and asked, "Were you there on Wednesday at the laundromat when it flooded?"
Jungkook looked confused, "What? No, I wasn't."
With a grin, Y/n confessed, "After we separated, I started seeing you in the most weird situations, like at the laundromat, and I thought I was losing my mind."
Jungkook burst into laughter, "Really? I would love to hear about all the places you found me!"
As they continued their walk in the rain, they couldn't help but be grateful for the silliness and laughter that had brought them back together. The idea of a music video, even if it was just in jest, gave them a sense of comfort and closure.
"I'm glad we can laugh about it now," Y/n said, looking at Jungkook fondly. "It shows how much we've grown together and how we can handle anything that comes our way."
Jungkook smiled warmly, pulling her closer as they walked back home.

I know you normally answer questions about the look of a production, but who are your favorite Christines vocally?
Kinda embarrased I've ended up as a production look reviewer... hahaha! Especially because I have strong opinions on voices, acting and direction choices.
Early in my phan days I liked the lighter bell-sounding Christines - because my initial meeting with the role was in this vein. Sarah Brightman, Susanne Elmark, Viktoria Krantz, Julia Möller, Joke de Kruijf, Rebecca Luker, Jill Washington. They were a good introduction to the role.
Gradually I was also introduced to some Christines with more oomph, bolder voices, or a little touch that made them stand out. I wasn't always ready for them, but slowly they learned me that the role could be more than "just" a bell voice. So the dramatic sound of Agnete Munk Rasmussen, the darker undertone of Elisabeth Berg and Rumi Iryo, the edgy approach of Rachel Barrell, the hidden huskyness of Kristen Hertzenberg and Elizabeth Loyacano, the operatic perfection of Rebecca Caine, Lisa Vroman and Claire Moore...
Today my preference for a Christine is very much based on their voice, as I think that's the whole point of the role and the story. But a nice voice itself is not enought. Their acting + interpretation is a "make or break" if I want to lean into their story and journey. If they manage to expand my view of what the role should be I appreciate them a lot. If they also can dance I probably love them. But: there is still room for the bell shaped beauties who "just" sings and acts well, without adding anything deeply personal. A good performance is a good performance. What I like depends on my mood, if it's long since I've seen the show, and how their chemistry is with the Phantom, Raoul and other leads.
With that said... Some Christines that has greatly impressed me through the years, be it vocally or a a total:
MIA KARLSSON: I could not get enough of her Christine. Yes, bell voice. Yes, amazing co-stars. But her acting. It was all in the little nuances, the intuitive approach to her co-stars, the inner life of Christine on display so to speak. And then topped with the most beautiful voice. I always wanted to hear more of her, I always wanted to see more of her. I mean, she ruled MOTN! Which Christine does that?! I think she remains my favourite to date - even if I've seen so many good ones after her.
INGER OLSSON MOBERG: Like a dew drop falling on a calm lake. The lightest, purest, gentlest voice. MAMA.
ISABEL SCHWARTZBACH: When I thought I would never hear anyone like Inger Olsson Moberg live... there she was. Very very light voice, mysterious AF portrayal. She was something else allright. In a good way.
SARAH BRIGHTMAN: I know. Some love her, some dislike her. But often based on the Original London Cast album. After seeing some videos I was quite floored. She has a lot more acting going on, a lighter dew-drop voice with an operatic flair when needed, and I rather enjoy her victorianesque approach to the role. And she was a trained ballerina. I think it is easy to underestimate her. I appreciate what she brought to the role - especially vocally. She has a dreamy sound that fits the "Christine represents a new sound" narrative.
KIM SO HYUN: No, but seriously. Real-life Disney princess with the most beautiful vocals. She's one of those I can't take my eyes off and I just want her to keep singing. It was also interesting to hear her very light vocals during her first South Korean run VS the somewhat darker timbre in the revival. I like both.
SIERRA BOGGESS: Whereas the hype around her - especially during her Broadway runs - drove me absolutely nuts... I do love her Christine. Gorgeous voice, gentle and passionate portrayal, dance skills, looks like a million dollars, she is one of those ultimate Christines. I also love that she tends to have good chemistry with her co-players.
EMMI CHRISTENSSON: I liked her combo of suppressed and glowing in terms of acting, combined with a super pleasant, light yet operatic voice. So... Christine.
Also adding, without elaborating on why (though I had the pleaure on seeing them live): Talia del Val, Astrid Giske, Teresia Bokor, Judith Tobella, Sofia Escobar, Sibylle Glosted, Valerie Link, Michelle van de Ven, Emilie Lynn, Gina Beck, Mira Ormala, Agnete Munk Rasmussen, Rachel Barrell.
There is alo a handful of Christines I have loved the voices of, but I have little idea of their portrayal or overall approach because I haven't seen them live. So I'll just list them here due to voice: Maria Kesselman, Anouk van Laake, Patti Cohenour, Amy Manford, Harriet Jones, Paige Blankson, Glenda Balkan, Teresia Barrientos, Ute Baum, Luzia Nistler, Rebecca Caine, Tamara Kotova, Manon Taris, Joke de Kruijf, Renée Knapp, Olivia Safe, Hye Kyoung Lee, Tamami Sai/Choi Hyun Ju, Meghan Picerno, Claire Lyon, Pan Hangwei, Sarah Lawrence, Andrea Maho, Elisabeth Berg, Rebecca Luker.

Synopsis: San can’t help but taste the sweetest thing possible… And that’s you.
Warnings: some fluff, in the beginning, groping, biting, teasing, licking, (f receiving), use of pet names (baby, sweetness, doll, etc.), Soft!dom Sannie (if you squint). San basically whipped for y/n
Word Count: 1.2k
‘I know you’ve got a taste, so just take a bite out of me.’
You hear the sounds of bare feet pattering toward you. You look up from your homework to see San rushing toward you, two bowls with spoons in his hands. You giggle at your boyfriend as he stands beside your desk. San pouted, "You need to take a break." You shake your head at him. "I have midterms next week. I have to study, Sannie." You watch as his pout deepens. "Awh, ok…" Your heart can't take pouty San. Especially when he brought your favorite ice cream. You sigh, a smile spreading across your face, “Alright.” You wave your hands at him and he places the cold bowl in your hands.
San holds his free hand out to you, and you take it. He guides you to your bedroom where he has your favorite movie on. You giggle, “Awh, Sannie.” your heart flutters at the gesture. He waddles to the bed and plops on it, patting the empty space beside him. You shuffle forward and settle onto the mattress, “I wanted to surprise you.” He melts into your side as he presses play on the movie.
You both enjoy your ice cream and the movie for a while. Sometime between the beginning and middle of the movie, San pulled your legs over his lap and idly began to trace invisible patterns in your skin as he watched the tv. His long digits danced along your thigh to your hip and back to your knee. You peek up at him, his eyes dancing across the screen, the movie holding his interest. You bit your lip, the pads of his fingers causing heat to flair in your body. You clear your throat awkwardly and shift, making San turn to look at you. “Hmm?” His usual pouty face is on display as he grips your leg, preventing you from moving. “What are you doing?” He asks, eyes bouncing around your face for a moment. Your face turns pink, “You're teasing me.” You hide your face from him. He chuckles, pulling you completely into his lap, burying his face in the crook of your neck. You giggle like a manic, attempting to push his face away, “San!” He growls playfully in your neck, “I’m not doing anything.” He nibbles your ear and pulls away from you slightly, a mischievous glint in his irises. “Do you want me to?”
“I’m supposed to be relaxing. Your idea of relaxing doesn’t seem too relaxing.” You shook your head as you pat his face as he pouts again. “It’s ok.” He cuddles into your neck, nibbling your collarbone. “You don’t have to do anything,” he promised, “I’ll do all the work.” He tries to bargain. “I’ve heard that before.” You roll your eyes. “I will.” He pulls back, a serious look on his face. “If you do anything then… Then… Then I’ll buy you breakfast in the morning- or coffee before you go to school.” You giggle loudly as he grabs your hips and pins you to the bed, “San-” You start to protest as he kisses you repeatedly, “I don’t like-” more kisses, “coffee though.” He tugs your bottom lip between his teeth, watching as it bounced back into place. “Then I’ll buy you more ice cream.” He leans down and sucks a red mark on your chest.
You bite your lip as he pushes your shirt up and exposes your bare body. “No bra?” He asks, his eyebrow quirking up. You smile, “Comfy, remember?” He grins softly as he leans down and bites your stomach. His hot, wet tongue danced along your skin to your hip, where his hands held you, prisoner. You groan as he pulls away, grinding against you as he kisses you. Your hands entangle themselves in his hair, making you mewl. “Sannie.” You plead, breathless already. It didn’t take much for San to get you worked up. Not when he spelled your name against your skin.
In English and Korean.
You shudder as he uses his hands to push your shorts down your thighs, his hands groping your ass. San pushed your thighs up so they were flush against your tummy, and his eyes held yours as he lowered himself, sucking the skin of your thigh. You throw your head back as he licks a hot trail between the spot he bit to your core. He chuckles, “So wet… Already?” He gives you his Cheshire cat grin as he licks a bold stripe up your folds, making you cry out his name. His hands grip your thighs so hard that you swear he was trying to pull them apart. He pulls away with a ‘pop’ sound resonating throughout the room. You gasp, shooting up to meet his eyes.
San’s dark brown eyes were aflame with lust; he was an animal uncaged. And you were his willing prey, waiting to be devoured by him. He captures your mouth in his as he frees his straining cock from his pants with a groan. He runs the head of his cock along your folds, making you whine with pleasure. A shiver ran up your spine as San’s hands ran up your body, “Am I still teasing you, sweetness?” You bite your lip, shaking your head. “No? Are you sure?” He grinds against you, rubbing against your clit. “Ugh, Sannie.” You whimper as he presses his fingers against it. “Yes, doll? What can I do for you?” He hums, his lips dancing against your shoulder. “Please- please.” You choke out, your mind swimming with a million things at once. “Please, what, babydoll?” He leans in, giving you a quick peck before pulling away to look into your eyes, grinding against you once again. Your mouth falls open, a soft gasp escaping your mouth, “San!”
“Mmhm?” He mumbles, kissing the place where your neck and jaw meet. “Don’t tease- please.”
“I thought you said I wasn’t?” You groan, frustrated at his words. He chuckles softly, “Are you all worked up now?” You nod your head frantically, “Yes!” He leans down and his tongue prods your bottom lip. He presses into you softly at first, pulling out as soon as you think maybe he’s done teasing you. You hold his hips, glaring up into his eyes, “Stop that.” He growls at you, wrapping his hand around your throat, “You’re not in charge, remember?” He presses into you all the way, making your mouth fall open. You gasp, nails digging into his sides as he pulls away and plunges back into you in quick succession. You moan as he bites your collarbone, whimpering as he snaps his hips against yours.
His thrusts were deep and fast, a dangerous combo for the both of you. You hold his shoulders as he continues his sickening pace, making your already swimming mind nothing but goo. You helplessly grip his shoulders as his thrusts grow sloppier, the knot in your groin finally snapping and you let out a shocked squeal of pleasure. “Sannie!” He groans, unable to speak as his own orgasm approaches. He panics and pulls out, pumping his hand along his shaft until hot white ropes spray against your stomach. You both pant for a moment, and you watch as he slumps slightly, staring at your tummy. “That was too close.” He chuckles, flopping beside you. You giggle as he playfully rolls out of bed and bounces to the bathroom to grab a washcloth.

Do you think HYBE will do anything about some of these boycotters? There’s some serious defamation going on that could have consequences for them (although maybe I’m overreacting and it won’t gain traction) but I wonder if they can do anything about it. This has really spiraled out of control imo. They clearly hate that man more than they love BTS because they’d be happy to burn down the whole company with BTS in it if it gets rid of Scooter, despite Scooter equivalents being present in pretty much every entertainment company ever.
***
I have no idea what HYBE intends to do but I don’t see them deviating much from how they’ve handled boycotts in the past, that is, ignoring them or offering a statement that addresses a tangential issue. Whenever there’s been a more direct response and/or donation, it’s always been spearheaded by the members themselves and as they are all enlisted until 2025, I don’t think that’s coming anytime soon but I could be wrong. Maybe Jin takes on the brunt for the group and says something, but again I highly doubt it.
One thing I am absolutely certain about though, is that a good 90% of those fully sucked in will turn full anti by the time Festa 2025 rolls around lol. I wasn’t sure about this at first, because like I’ve said it’s fine for fans to communicate to the company if they’re upset about whatever, but yeah now, there’s no mistaking what this is. It’s a pipeline I’ve seen hundreds of times.
It’s impossible to feed yourself a steady diet of the narrative that BTS is complicit in one of the most grotesque atrocities in recent history, act as though you hold them uniquely responsible for it being in your space, and not grow resentful of the boys and the fandom. Aside the fact the focus on BTS is misguided to begin with, the whole notion of ‘protecting’ these grown men from executives in their company is infantilizing at best, it’s a sentiment these people show only towards BTS rather than Tori Kelly, Beyoncé or Ariana Grande - all three working directly with Israeli-linked Jewish men, because none of these fans have developed a parasocial attachment to those artists they feel they can weaponize, the way they have to BTS. Like I’ve been saying, although BTS is far more removed than any American artist under a big music label, these Korean guys are the only people k-pop fans feel they have control over. It’s the kind of mentality to expect from toxic shippers, akgaes, and mantis. Those groups of people will always tell you the reasoning for their actions is for the greater good and for the benefit of the artist, and given in this case the subject is something as serious as the latest escalation of Israeli-Palestinian conflict, that’s certainly serious. But just like with every other case, the focus on BTS itself is misguided, in my opinion, and so the fallacy persists, which breeds conflict, which breeds even more resentment. From the boycotters, we’ll start seeing more thought experiments, narratives and conspiracies to explain the dissonance between what they expect and what is actually happening. Even if their demands are met this time, another topic will flair up these same behaviours in people already pre-disposed to this. It’s the most predictable pipeline in k-pop.
But as it so often is with things like this, most people won’t be fully honest with themselves about what they are, and what they are doing, and so even though it would be best to realize BTS might not fit the expectation they have of them, they’ll remain in fandom spaces, growing more resentful and constantly in conflict with other fans. Many of them are already multis and it’s only a matter of time (weeks) before the takes become painfully predictable.
Anyway I’ve rambled. I’m curious as to what you think HYBE will do:
*
Perhaps a more fun question is how the fandom will increasingly spiral, the more aggressive and confrontational opposing sides of the fandom become. I’ve said before that a lot of ARMYs are easy to manipulate and incapable of nuanced conversations, and normally that’s a recipe for the jokes we see on Twitter daily, but in times like this, it’s tinder for a bonfire of disaster lmao.
I hope y’all are holding on to your wigs for the magnificent, ripped body pics Jin will have to drop to calm things down as soon as he’s discharged.

this stopped being a fling a while ago. // devi x usiK HIM COME TO HIS SENSES
misbehaving has always been on the list of exceptionally intriguing of devika's abilities, she didn't deny that when it came to doing different from what she was told she was a master. and obviously dating usik was one of those "don't do it" things, she saw all the signs and ignored them. at first, it was probably because she felt entitled. he was, undeniably, a hot and new famous face around making his way into korean's hearts everywhere and she was still on the path to do the same so there was something magical and risky about seeing him. and sometimes there were no reasons at all for them to continue doing so other than the fact that they became used to each other. it was way easier to just hit a text and be at the same hotel for the next few hours than to go out, meet new people, introduce them to your way of life, and hope for the best. either way, they could score both ways, but they eventually just chose each other over and over again.
nevertheless, that didn't mean they were ready to call it a full ongoing romantic relationship. at least, devi thought so, and mainly because she would have never in her wildest dreams guessed that's what usik was trying to do. as far as she was concerned he was never going to actively chose her as his girlfriend and not because there was something wrong with her or them for that matter, but because of all the weight such thing might attract. "what the hell do you mean by that?" she had her eyebrows curved and her funny laughing bunny face, half of her expression meant she was delighted to know where that conversation was going and the other half was just pure confusion, thankfully he couldn't see it better than her because she was facing the mirror in a different direction than he had his eyes on. devi put on her lip gloss like she was casually going out again, when in fact she just made her way back to the bed and sat by the edge to put her rings back on that were forgotten on the nightstand.
not everything had to be timed and perfect, devi knew that but when it came to usik she was stubborn. she wanted him to run that extra mile for her, even though she knew he probably wouldn't. sometimes it was even disappointing to try and look for him, because she was never sure where they were standing and while trying to be the cool and stoic girl not to chase him away she had to keep putting the act, even if that meant hiding her feelings. she was never gonna demand some big and extraordinary gesture, but she was going to wait for it perhaps knowing it might not come at all. which explained the reason she had a flair for the dramatics and the meaning behind her affection towards usik in the first place: she liked shiny, explosive, and overall just dreamy and nonrealistic situations because that meant they never occurred to anyone else, just her.
putting a more courageous and savage face on she leaned back on the bed to observe usik more, maybe even try to find the real feelings of him behind his eyes. but she didn't, she couldn't fool herself into believing him. devi closed the distance between their worlds and kissed his lips in a soft and refreshing move, her fingers closing in on his hair and letting go just the same time as she moved away a little bit to be heard. "if you really want it, then you should really do something about it." so a smile tugged on her face, a mischievous little grin suppose to do to him what she knew it was going to do. she might not have been the strongest soldier on that bed, but at least she still had weapons to work on her favor and hoping to stay on his mind for as long as she could was one of them. there was no winning here, they were both already at a loss as soon as they found the real answer to such questions in their hearts. because no misdoing in the world could qualify finding someone you really want and keeping them close despite your fears, it takes work, and devi would never really feel reassured when it came to seeing themselves battling for steadiness, when they comfort laid on everything but that.

How the Costume Designer Behind Netflix’s ‘Avatar: The Last Airbender’ Brought the Iconic Animated Looks to Life
Farnaz Khaki-Sadigh explains why Aang's outfit was so hard to perfect and shares the easter eggs hiding in the show's fashion.
2005’s Avatar: The Last Airbender is one of the best examples of world-building put to screen in television history—thanks in large part to the show's fashion. The Nickelodeon animated series pulled its viewers into the magical universe of “benders,” by giving each of the world’s four nations—the Fire Nation, the Earth Kingdom, the Water Tribe, and the Air Nomads—a distinct, recognizable aesthetic inspired by Asian and Indigenous cultures. The original ATLA also handled intricate character arcs and heavy themes around war and colonialism with a nuance that both kids and adults could appreciate, and the gorgeous 2D animation sucked every viewer deeply into the fantasy world. So Netflix’s new live-action adaptation had a tall order to meet when it came to bringing the beloved cartoon to life.
The streamer met the challenge with an impressive, charming flair by gathering a talented cast and crew filled with fans of the original cartoon, including costume designer Farnaz Khaki-Sadigh. While speaking with Marie Claire over Zoom, the Emmy winner—who previously worked on sci-fi/fantasy shows like The 100 and R.L. Stine’s The Haunting Hour— shared how she was able to successfully infuse real-world cultural inspirations into all of the outfits. It's something she hopes has lasting effects outside of Hollywood: “I hope that it inspires [viewers] to learn about other cultures and different parts of the world, to want to go visit them and understand them,” she says of the new series.
Here, Khaki-Sadigh chats about her favorite costumes from the original series, her months-long research process, and the practicalities she considered while designing real-life versions of Team Avatar’s looks.
Marie Claire: How familiar were you with the original animated series when you got the opportunity to work on the Netflix show?
Farnaz Khaki-Sadigh: I watched it a dozen times before I even got the job. When it was first announced that they were going to do a live-action series, I was like, ‘I want to work on this.’ This is a dream job.
Now knowing you're a fan, how did you approach honoring the original show while putting your own spin on the live-action clothes?
FKS: I definitely wanted to pay homage to the original. I think a lot of that comes through with the color palettes that we've chosen. [Also] keeping the silhouettes of the original animation and then breathing life into it with real-world materials and inspirations from the various cultures. The animation is more of a broader reference of the Asian and Indigenous cultures, so we went in and did a bit more specification—to give it a more dimension and narrow each culture in the show down to a specific group.
With the Southern Water Tribe, for example, we did take a lot from the Inuit culture. But I also learned that they did a lot of trades with certain other Indigenous groups and Northern Vikings, so we have a lot of those influences coming into [their clothing] as well. With the Northern Water tribe, we went a little bit more towards the Siberian Indigenous groups, such as the Yupiks and the Turkic tribes, to give it more variety and differentiation between the two fictional tribal nations. Then with the earth-benders, we see other cultures referenced. Omashu is very much based on Southeast Asian and Indian cultures. Whereas, there are smaller towns that we see in certain episodes that are based on other Asian cultures and Asian countries. So we brought in some Korean influences and some Vietnamese influences [for those]. We wanted to give [each nation’s aesthetic] a broader spectrum as opposed to just unifying everything under the one umbrella.
What were some of the challenges you faced in bringing these animated looks to life?
FKS: It was definitely a lot of trial and error. You want to be authentic, but then you also have to take into consideration the fact that it is a show, and it is present-day as opposed to the mid-1800s, when the show is technically based on. They used a lot of materials back then that we don't use in the present-day. So it's just finding a balance of making the costumes look like they belong in that time period, but they're still comfortable enough for actors to wear today, and that they can move in it and fight and do all of their actions. We tested a lot of things. We built mockups and had stunt performers try to do fight moves in them to see what we had to change. Like if the weight of the armors were too heavy, or if they didn't sit properly, and [the actors] couldn't move their arms a certain way to do the bending that they needed to do. And we adjusted accordingly. We had a good enough chunk of time to do these trial-and-error runs to make sure that, once the garments were actually put on the performer, they were actually functional for them, and they could move and perform in them.
Is there a character who you really loved designing for, or one of the costumes that you're really proud of?
FKS: I cannot pick a favorite, to be honest. Every time a costume was done, and we would see it for the first time on camera, I think I cried a little bit because it felt so good. It felt surreal as a fan too, just to see everything come to life.
Aang has the most recognizable look out of all of the characters. What was the process of figuring out his costume?
FKS: That one was the hardest one because it is one of the simpler ones out of all of them. Just because it's simple, it doesn't make it easy. We had to go through so many different materials to make sure that it flowed and moved with the air-bending. Then we had to make sure that the colors worked with the animation, but were also realistic at the same time. They had to work within our Air Nomad world, especially since the Southern Air Temple was based on Tibetan monks and their aesthetic [on the show] was pulled from that culture and their color palettes. We decided that, within the Air Nomads, we couldn't use any synthetic materials or anything that came from animals, just because of what that culture is based on. Everything had to be natural fibers. For the color of the Cape, I think we went through anywhere between like six and 10 different fabrics. We made so many different capes for him because the color kept shifting under the lights. So we had to find the perfect material and the perfect color, that moved, looked great, and didn't change color under the camera lights. One of the simplest costumes took us the longest time to figure out, but it was worth it.
The show also has so many great accessories from Katara’s necklace and Sokka’s bone choker to the Fire Nation crowns and helmets. What was the process of figuring out which accessories from the cartoon would be brought into live action?
FKS: We wanted to feature anything that was really iconic to the characters. Katara's necklace is a very big part of her character. It's a memento from her mother that sort of brings the North and the South together. It's all those little things that really made the characters in the animation. You look at that piece and you know exactly who that person is without them actually having it on. So those are the elements that we wanted to include.
Did it ever get overwhelming to handle something on this scale of world-building?
FKS: Absolutely, all the time. I did so much research and so much reading and talking to people from those cultures and learning from them. I probably spent like three or four months before I started the project—just between prepping for my interviews and then prepping to start conceptualizing once I had the job. I was constantly trying to learn more about the materials that were used and why they were used, and why certain cultures used certain colors and what it represented. There's how the materials moved; how the garments moved; how different ranks and social status affected and influenced the garments in that time period; the wars, the trade routes, and what was and wasn't traded, what was traded for what...all of those things. It really was a historical study of the cultures within the story as well as in real life. For example, Kyoshi is very much based on Japanese culture, and specifically Samurai culture. There's actually a group of female warriors in Japan called Onna-bu Geisha. A lot of the inspiration for the Kyoshi Warriors comes from those female samurai warriors.
Are there any looks you're looking forward to bringing to life in future seasons?
I'd really love to do Ba Sing Se. That would be a world that I really would love to create, because I think there's just so much there that we can play on. I would love to do Ember Island. That was a really fun storyline in Book Three, and I think it would be really fun to realize that.

Song Of The Chapter: Demi Lovato ft Lil Wayne- Lonely
Two weeks later, Kamaria got out of her car at the HYBE building, making sure to lock the doors before she walked inside. After promotions for ‘Taming’ wrapped up, Kamaria was determined to get back into the studio. It had been two years since her fourth album and she had missed performing more than anything in the world.
Well, almost anything.
Once she had checked into the building and allowed the elevator to take her to the seventh floor, she instantly went to the fourth door on the right side of the hallway, typing the code into the keypad and waiting for the door to beep twice before pulling it open.
“Well, well, well,” Yoongi smiled as he turned around in his chair and watched Kamaria step into his studio. “Long time, no see.”
“I just saw you in November, at MMA remember?” Kamaria chuckled. “Don’t start this dramatic shit.”
“What can I say? I have a flair for it,” he laughed, standing up and waiting until she had stepped closer to pull her into a tight hug. “How are you, kiddo?”
“I’m ok, can’t complain,” she shrugged as she hugged him back. “How are you?”
“Busy with work, as always,” he joked. “Here, have a seat.” Kamaria did as he instructed, taking a seat in the chair that had been placed next to his before she set her purse on top of the nearby table. “So, how’s the album coming along so far?”
“Well, I think I have about 50% of it done so far but as I started to think about what else I wanted to include on the album, your name popped into my mind,” she explained. “We haven’t worked on anything together since my first album and Lonely is still one of my favorites.”
“It’s one of mines too,” Yoongi smiled. “But uh, are you sure about us working together? I mean, there’s a reason why we haven’t collaborated since your first album all those years ago.”
“You just had to go and bring that shit up,” Kamaria huffed.
.........................................................
After fulfilling her contractual obligations to SM Entertainment, Kamaria had been looking for a change. Though the company was amazing to her and had been an amazing fit for her mother, she had realized that she wanted more creative control when it came to what messages she was putting into her music. Through her friendship with Jimin, she became acquainted with Bang Sihyuk who welcomed her to BigHit Entertainment with open arms.
“I have to say, Kamaria, I cannot wait to get into the studio with you,” Bang PD confessed as the two of them walked down one of the numerous hallways in the HYBE building together after she signed her artist contract. “I hope that doesn’t make me sound too excited.”
“It’s fine because I’m just as excited,” Kamaria laughed. “Some of my favorite KPop songs ever have been ones that you wrote.”
“I’d be lying if I didn’t say that makes me blush a bit,” he joked, making Kamaria laugh again. As the two of them walked, they heard a sudden commotion coming from the artists’ lounge and as Kamaria listened closer, she realized that one of the raised voices was coming from Jimin.
“Um, sorry to have to end this on such short notice but I think I should go see what’s going on,” Kamaria said.
“I think so too,” Bang PD nodded. “I’ll have Nari-ssi get in touch with you with your new schedule for recording.”
“Yes, thank you,” she nodded, doing a light bow before she rushed away from her new boss and as she rushed down the hallway, she could hear the voices of the other Bangtan members getting louder and louder. By the time she made it to the open doorway, nothing could’ve prepared her for what she saw.
Jimin and Yoongi had their arms wrapped around each other, trying to wrestle one another down onto the ground and throwing blows at whatever inches of skin that they could reach. The other members were left trying to break the two of them up although if Kamaria wasn’t mistaken, some of them looked like they wanted to let the fight take place.
“What the fuck are you guys’ doing?!” Kamaria shouted as she rushed forwards, instantly going over to Jimin and pulling on his shirt along with Jungkook and Taehyung. At the sound of her voice, Jimin released his grip on Yoongi and allowed himself to be pulled away. “What the hell is going on?!”
“This dumb ass has decided not to resign,” Yoongi growled and Kamaria’s eyes widened because Jimin hadn’t said anything to her about that.
“Are you serious?” She gasped before looking over at Jimin. “Why?”
“Because I wanted to do more solo work and I can’t do that with the group constantly hanging over my head,” he explained.
“Say it like that again and I’ll kill you,” Yoongi threatened and Jin and Hobi tightened their grips on his arms just to be safe.
“Jimin decided to tell us about his decision after we’ve already started contract negotiations as seven members,” Namjoon elaborated. “We were very clear on our plans before Jin hyung and Yoongi hyung went to the military so we’re not understanding the sudden change.”
“The sudden change came when he had his solo debut and started smelling his own shit,” Yoongi spat.
“I haven’t been smelling my own shit,” Jimin shot back.
“Actually, you have been,” Hobi interjected. “You’ve been acting every different every since ‘Here I Am’ came out and every solo comeback you’ve had since. Nothing against you personally but it’s the truth.”
“Maybe because I want to explore more of my own artistry,” Jimin explained. “I don’t want to be held back by my commitments to the fucking group, like I have been for years now.”
“We were holding you back?!” Yoongi snorted as he began to struggle against Jin and Hobi’s hold. “You wouldn’t be shit without us and you fucking know it!”
“There’s only three of us that pack in the fucking stadiums and it’s definitely not you, hyung,” Jimin said mockingly. “So I think it’s actually the other way around.”
“Ungrateful son of a bitch!” Yoongi roared before breaking free of the hold on his arms and charging towards Jimin again, literally tackling him onto the ground. This time, it took the members much longer to break the two of them apart while Kamaria was forced to do nothing but watch and call out to Jimin, hoping that he’d rein himself back in.
“Get the fuck off of me!” Jimin hollered as he got up off of the ground once Yoongi had finally been pulled off of him. “I fucking quit!”
“Jimin hyung,” Jungkook called out but Jimin brushed him off before he stormed out of the lounge.
“I’ll talk to him,” Kamaria said before rushing out behind her best friend. Once she caught up to him, Jimin didn’t stop to hear her out and even eight hours later, as he paced back and forth in Kamaria’s apartment, he still refused to see reason.
“Listen, I understand where you were coming from,” Kamaria said from her place on the couch. “Bangtan has always been insular and it’s hard to go back to that once you’ve opened up more.”
“Ex-fucking-actly.”
“But couldn’t you just communicate that to them without all the extra aggressiveness?” She wondered.
“They wouldn’t hear me out, Bubs because they never do!” Jimin exclaimed. “I don’t want to be just ‘Jiminie from BTS’ anymore. Once I started making my own music, I just saw everything that I could be and it’s so much more than I could’ve ever dreamed.”
“And you really think Bangtan is holding you back from that?”
“I do,” he confirmed with a nod. “And I know myself. Despite what happened today, I do love my members and I’d do anything for them but I also know that my loyalty to them is holding me back. Think about it. Yoongi hyung’s been back from the military for six months and what I have done solo since then?”
“Nothing but you told me you guys had discussed that,” Kamaria pointed out.
“More like the hyungs discussed it and I just agreed to it,” he corrected her. “I’ve grown so much as an artist in the last three years and I don’t want to lose the momentum that I have going.”
“And that’s worth you imploding a 15 year friendship?” She questioned. “Because of your fucking ego, basically?”
“Call it what you want but I’ve made my decision,” Jimin shrugged as he reached into his pocket and pulled out a small pill bottle. “I’m going to finish another mini album and promote that for the next six months before I go to do my military service. Once I’m out, the only thing I’ll have to worry about is myself and my music.”
Kamaria didn’t say anything else, instead just watching worriedly as he pulled a pill out of the bottle and swallowed it down dry.
.........................................................
“Look, the only reason why I haven’t worked with you was out of respect for my prior relationship,” Kamaria explained. “Which you can’t blame me for. I mean, you gave him a black eye and a bloodied lip.”
“Which I’d do again in a heartbeat because he fucking deserved it for being a prick,” Yoongi chuckled. “But it must feel good to get rid of the old ball and chain, huh? I never did know what you saw in his ass.”
“Anyways,” she rolled her eyes. “Let’s get to work, if you remember how to do that.”
“Oh, I have a whole folder of beats that are awaiting your gorgeous voice,” he smiled as he turned to face his desktop. “Let’s do it, kiddo.”
Once the session started, Kamaria found herself easily slipping into the routine. Making music was like therapy for her and after the last few months, she fucking needed it.
A few hours later, Kamaria stood next to the door of Yoongi’s studio while he locked up.
“I’d forgotten how fucking good you are,” Yoongi chuckled. “I can’t believe we wrote and laid the entire song down today.”
“Me either but I love it,” she gushed happily. “I definitely want it on the album.”
“Good, as long as you don’t try to rope me into performing it with you,” he said as he turned to face her, motioning with his hand for her to lead the way down the hall.
“Oh come on,” she giggled. “We’ve never performed together before and it would be fun.”
“Pay me enough and we can talk,” he chuckled.
“Pay you enough for what?” Jimin wondered as he stepped out from around a corner, smirking when Kamaria and Yoongi simultaneously rolled their eyes at the sight of him. “Hello Bubs.”
“Hi,” Kamaria deadpanned.
“So, she’s the only person you see?” Yoongi asked.
“Hello hyung,” Jimin smiled but Kamaria could tell that it was completely fake. “How are you?”
“Eat a dick,” Yoongi snapped before turning to glance at Kamaria. “I’m going home. Call me if you need anything, yeah?”
“Ok, and thanks for today,” Kamaria smiled softly, giving him a quick hug before he continued to walk down the hall away from them. Once he was out of earshot, Jimin narrowed his eyes at her.
“You’re working with Yoongi now?”
“Yes.”
“Why?”
“Because I’m no longer with you and don’t have to worry about bruising your ego anymore,” Kamaria shrugged.
“Nice to know whose side you’re on,” he snickered.
“I was never on anyone’s side in that and you know it. I thought all of you were being idiots,” she reminded him. “Now, if you’ll excuse me.” She moved to walk past him but when she did, he reached out and grabbed onto her wrist, stopping her in her tracks. “You know, you’re making a really bad habit of grabbing me and my fist is just aching for a face to punch these days.”
“Can we talk?” Jimin wondered. “Like, really talk?”
“If you ask me about being your fucking surrogate again, I swear-,”
“No, not about that,” he shook his head. “I want to explain things to you from my side. About Hye-ja, why I did what I did, everything.”
“It’s a little late for that, don’t you think?” She chuckled in disbelief. “You made it very clear who and what you wanted when you married her.”
“But don’t act like it hasn’t always been you,” Jimin stated firmly.
“It’s hard to believe that when you’re sporting another woman’s ring on your finger.”
“Have I ever lied to you?” He questioned and that had Kamaria pausing for thought. Jimin was a lot of things: an asshole, egotistical, somewhat clingy, and selfish. However, the man had never lied to her and she couldn’t deny that.
“No.”
“I know I’ve hurt you. I can see it in your eyes,” Jimin murmured. “The least I can do is be honest with you, if you’ll let me?” As Kamaria looked into his eyes, those brown eyes that she had found herself getting lost in so many times before, she felt that familiar feeling washing over her again.
“Ok,” she agreed. “When and where?”
“If you’re not busy, I’d like to do it tonight,” he told her. “Say, my place, 7:00pm?”
“I’ll be there,” Kamaria agreed, her breathing hitching in her throat when Jimin suddenly leaned forward and pressed a soft kiss onto her forehead before pulling back.
“See you then, Bubs,” he smiled before turning and walking away.
“I’m such an idiot,” Kamaria muttered to herself, grabbing her sunglasses from her bag and slipping them onto her face before making her way out of the HYBE building.
.........................................................
Later that night, Kamaria found herself pulling her car up to the code box of Jimin’s house. His house could really be considered a mansion by modern standards, two stories with five bedrooms, three bathrooms, a home studio, a large backyard with a pool, and even a full scale movie room.
Rolling down the driver’s side window, Kamaria reached out and quickly pressed the numbers ‘514′ onto the keypad, her eyes widening when the gate beeped before it slowly began to open. 514 was the date of their anniversary and she was somewhat, but not completely, surprised that Jimin hadn’t gotten around to changing it.
As she pulled up the driveway and parked her car right in front of the front steps, she had barely gotten her foot out of the car when the front door to the house swung open.
“Bubs!” Jimin called and in spite of everything, Kamaria found herself smiling as she walked up the steps.
“Hey.”
“You look amazing,” he praised and Kamaria rolled her eyes.
“I’m wearing sweatpants and a sweatshirt,” she scoffed. “Be for real.”
“I am,” he huffed, opening the door wider and allowing her to step inside. “And you have your hair in my favorite style.” Kamaria smiled at that, knowing Jimin well enough to know that he went weak in the knees anytime she had braids in her hair and especially when she put them up into a ponytail on top of her head.
“Look, you wanted to talk so let’s talk,” Kamaria said once she had taken off her jacket and gotten her shoes off of her feet.
“You’re not hungry?” Jimin asked as he began to walk backwards towards the kitchen. “I have food on the stove. Come on.”
“Jimin,” she whined but when he continued to walk away from her, she just sighed heavily before following behind him. Once she made it into the large kitchen, Jimin was already in front of the stove stirring something in a large pot so Kamaria walked over to him and hopped up to sit on the counter next to him.
“So, where’s Hye-ja?” She couldn’t help but to inquire.
“Not here.”
“Is she gonna be here? I mean, she does live here,” Kamaria pointed out.
“No, she doesn’t and she never has,” Jimin confessed, throwing her a quick glance before refocusing his gaze on the pot.
“What? So the two of you have been living separately since you got married?”
“Yep. She said something to the effect of ‘”I’ve worked too hard to just give up my house and plus, I don’t even like the design of your house”,” he recited.
“She doesn’t like this house?” Kamaria gasped. “It’s gorgeous. I remember when you bought it.”
“I’d hope you would remember because you’re the one that convinced me to get it,” Jimin chuckled. “Pretty sure you threatened my life about it too.”
“Hey, a good piece of real estate makes me passionate,” she joked. A comfortable silence settled over them then, and Kamaria took the opportunity to look inside of the simmering pot. “Uh, Jimin? What is this?”
“Kimchi jjigae.”
“You sure?”
“Of course I’m sure,” he huffed.
“It doesn’t look like it,” she observed.
“Looks can be deceiving sometimes,” Jimin smiled. “Trust me, it’ll taste the way you taught me to make it.”
“I still don't’ know how you used to cook for me so much but had no idea how to make kimchi jjigae,” Kamaria giggled. “And it was so easy!
“Hey, that wasn’t my fault,” he shot back. “I had my parents, you, and the hyungs so I had no need to learn.”
“You’re spoiled.”
“Loved, actually and there’s a difference.”
“Whatever,” she smiled. Not too much later, the stew was done and the two of them were sat together at the table placed in Jimin’s dining room, their full bowls, one glass of wine and one cup of water in front of them.
“So,” Kamaria spoke up, wanting to get right down to things because she wanted answers. “How did you and Hye-ja even meet?”
“Well, I’ve always known of her,” Jimin began. “I’d see her around at different events and award shows, stuff like that. I even did an OST for a drama that she was in back before I did my enlistment. She used to flirt with me whenever she saw me but I never paid it any attention because I was in love with you, even before we officially got together three years ago.”
“When you and I broke up, I was heartbroken and I had holed myself up in this house,” he continued. “Taehyung was the one who broke me out of my funk and dragged me out to Hye-ja’s latest premiere. When I saw her again, she was just as flirty and this time, I welcomed it. She gave me her number and we ended up talking on the phone every night for weeks afterward. She gave me attention and made me feel wanted, which is the exact opposite of how I had felt when you and I ended things.”
“As we talked, it just seemed like we wanted a lot of the same things,” he told her. “She’s the same age as me and it seemed like we were on the same timeline when it came to getting married and starting a family so I thought it could work. Admittedly, I also didn’t want to miss my opportunity to have the family that I’ve always dreamed of and since it seemed like you were really done with me, I took my chance. I asked her to marry me and she accepted. We got married in Tokyo a month after her movie premiere.”
“And where does the whole surrogate thing come in at?” Kamaria wondered.
“Once we got back to Korea and Hye-ja saw some of the bad press we got for a ‘fake and rushed marriage’, she decided that she wanted to hold off on having kids for the time being,” Jimin explained. “And after that, it seemed like everything just unraveled. We have more differences than I thought and we barely see each other because she’s obsessed with working.”
“Wow,” Kamaria murmured, slowly dragging her spoon through her stew. Although she was still angry as hell at the way Jimin had gone about things and how he had let them play out, she still could understand his point of view. He had made a decision out of pain, only to have it all blow up in his face.
“Tell me about it,” he chuckled.
“I feel for you Jimin, I really do but I never told you that we were totally done,” she pointed out.
“Can you blame me for thinking that after I woke up to all of your stuff gone and only a note left behind?” Jimin scoffed. “You said you needed space.”
“And I did need space.”
“Between that and all the times I proposed to you, only to be turned down, what was I supposed to think?”
“Your definition of asking someone to marry you changes everyday,” Kamaria responded. “Randomly asking me over cereal in the morning or over the phone or when I’m mad at you because I caught you popping pills is not a proposal.”
“....You didn’t have to throw that in my face,” Jimin grumbled.
“And I’m not trying to but it’s the truth,” she stated firmly. “You had an addiction issue and I know you went to rehab and have been fine since you got out...right?”
“Right.”
“But it just made me rethink everything,” she finished. “I wanted everything you did Jimin and you know that. Marriage, kids, the whole shebang but I was not going to do it while you were using drugs and then fresh into recovery, especially not after what I’ve been through with my mama. I love you but I refuse to love you to death, and that’s something I’m standing on.”
“I understand Bubs,” Jimin said, reaching across the table with his hands out. Hesitantly, Kamaria set down her spoon and set her hands in Jimin’s, allowing him to squeeze them tightly. “When I came back from rehab, it seemed like everything was fine between us so I assumed that our relationship was one that I wouldn’t have to worry about mending. I guess I was wrong, huh?”
“I-” Kamaria began to say but she was cut off by the sound of the front door opening and closing followed by a loud voice calling Jimin’s name. Kamaria instantly snatched her hands out of Jimin’s, her eyes widening when she saw the person that the voice belonged to walk into the dining room.
Kim Hye-ja was stunning and even Kamaria could admit that. She stepped into the room dressed immaculately in a light blue two piece suit, Jimmy Choo heels glistening in the light. Her long black hair was slicked back away from her face, showing off her stunning facial structure.
“Jiminie!” Hye-ja exclaimed and Jimin stood up then, opening his arms just in time for Hye-ja to crash into him in a tight hug. Kamaria couldn’t help but to grimace and she had to physically turn her head when Hye-ja kissed her husband firmly.
“What are you doing here, Hye?” Jimin asked. “I thought you were going to stay in Jeju after your photoshoot.”
“I was but I decided to come back to Seoul so that we could be together,” she smiled before looking over at Kamaria. “Oh my gosh, you’re Kamaria.”
“Hi,” Kamaria smiled softly and Hye-ja rushed over to her side of the table, bowing lightly and grabbing onto her hand to shake it in greeting.
“It’s so amazing to finally meet you!” Hye-ja chirped happily. “I know you’re one of Jimin’s best friends.”
“Yeah,” Kamaria nodded. “It’s nice to meet you too, Hye-ja-ssi.”
“Please, you don’t have to be so formal with me,” she insisted. “Any friend of Jimin is a friend of mines.”
“I’ll keep that in mind,” Kamaria replied.
“I wasn’t interrupting anything, was I?” Hye-ja questioned suddenly after seeing the bowls of food and Kamaria’s glass of wine. “I know you don’t get to see each other often.”
Oh, if only she knew.
“Nah, you’re fine,” Jimin spoke up. “I ran into Bub-, Kamaria at the HYBE building when I went to record today and invited her over.”
“But I was actually just on my way out,” Kamaria announced, standing up from her chair.
“Well, we have to plan something soon so that you and I can get to know each other more,” Hye-ja suggested.
“Sure,” Kamaria smiled falsely. “I’ll see you around, Jimin.”
“Let me walk you out,” he offered but Kamaria shook her head.
“I’m good, don’t worry. Stay with Hye-ja-ssi, I’m sure you guys have a lot of catching up to do.”
“That we do,” Hye-ja smiled as she wrapped her arms around Jimin. Quickly making her way to the front door, she stuffed her feet into her shoes and grabbed her jacket and purse, holding both in her hands as she rushed out of the front door. Switching on the ignition and throwing the car into drive, she fled down the driveway, flying through the gates and out onto the streets of Seoul.
“Every time,” she muttered to herself. “Every fucking time.”
