Unsure of what the other meant at first, Murphy cautiously watched him as he brought out the paper bag. “Oh, thanks.” Murphy said, taking it from him. He opened it up and then grabbed one. “I’m definitely going to give the rest of these to the homeless guy that’s waiting outside.” He quirked an eyebrow, hoping Kieran would catch the joke and then stuffed the bagel into his mouth, taking a small bite.

Murphy quirked an eyebrow and smirked, he would’ve replied but the tray had distracted him so he swiped one of the sandwiches off of it and popped it into his mouth anyways. “Hey, I’ll take anything that’s free.” He replied, he noticed that the peanut butter stuck to his teeth a little and after he swallowed, he used his tongue to try and brush it away. He shrugged. “Could be better.”

He laughed and shook his head. “Well hang on a second.” He reached around and handed him a small brown bag. “Don’t ever say I risked my job for you, alright?” He threw another mini sandwich into his mouth and placed the tray back down. “It’s bagels from yesterday. We had a bunch, they were gonna get thrown out anyways.” He told him with a shrug.

Murphy grinned widely at the sudden sound of Kieran’s voice, good. He’d been hoping that the other would be working today. “Anderson, I’m doing just great.” He replied, with a curt nod. He gave an exaggerated sigh. “Aw and here I was, thinking that it was just because you liked me.” He said, brushing past Kieran and moving into the store. He rolled his eyes. “What free samples you got today?”

Kieran laughed and shook his head. “Yeah but I don’t like you enough to keep risking my job.” He joked. Kieran reached around and grabbed the tray, it looked like mini peanut butter and jelly sandwiches on their fresh bread. “Looks like the PB&J minis, I don’t know if you want em, they’re decent on this type of bread.” He admitted with a shrug, taking one and tossing it into his mouth.

Kieran pulled the door open to the bakery and spotted a familiar face. ​“Murphy, hey!” He exclaimed. “How are ya doing?” Kieran asked. “Are you here because you think I’m gonna give you another freebie, I told you, that was a one time thing.” He continued with a laugh.

[MICHAEL VLAMIS]— Have you seen ELIJAH MURPHY walking around? They’re a 28 year old CIS MALE with HE/HIM pronouns. They supposedly live in DOWNTOWN ROSECASTLE and currently work as a TATTOO ARTIST. Rumor has it, Rosecastle PD says they’re (A PERSON OF INTEREST) when it comes to the case. I guess that makes sense, considering they’re ADAPTABLE, RESILIENT. Though, if you ask around, some would say they’re also EGOCENTRIC, PARANOID. [Emma, she/her, 24, cst]

People typically avoid eye contact with Elijah Murphy if they see him walking down the street. He used to purposefully try to get arrested for underage drinking and theft as a teenager. It wasn’t ever malicious, he just was bored and wanted to get his father’s attention. His father, who usually ignored his son otherwise.

Daniel Murphy was a detective when Elijah was growing up. His job costed him his marriage and Elijah might as well raised himself. He wished countless times that his mother would have taken him with her instead of abandoning him. 

He’s not entirely sure, Elijah’s pretty positive that his father was on the team that investigated the original murders in the 70′s. His dad will never talk about them, shutting down completely if Elijah tries to bring them up. 

He didn’t personally know the victims but he would always see Hannah in passing and even saw her the day before her death, he didn’t think anything of it though.

headcanons: Elijah goes by Murphy most of the time, he hates his first name He’s kind of a dickhead, it’s just his personality so don’t take offense if he says something rude.
