Demon Slayer - É bom para ler?
Oi!

Do you mind if I ask your top 10 favorite characters (can be male or female) from all of the media that you loved (can be anime/manga, books, movies or tv series)? And why do you love them? Thanks....
Thank you for asking me! I'm so happy to have this chance to rant about my favorite characters.
So, I anticipate this is going to become obnoxiously long, so I will start with the list, and continue with my explanations below the cut. I will also limit myself to just one character per piece of media, otherwise I could rant for hours on just one or two shows.
In no particular order, except first place:
1. Weiss Schnee (RWBY)
2. Rayla (The Dragon Prince)
3. Rue Kuroha (Princess Tutu)
4. Nia Teppelin (Gurren Lagann)
5. Kaguya Shinomiya (Kaguya-sama wa Kokurasetai/Kaguya-sama Love is War)
6. Rukia Kuchiki (Bleach)
7. Winry Rockbell (Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood)
8. Shallan Davar (The Stormlight Archives)
9. Kanao Tsuyuri (Kimetsu no Yaiba/Demon Slayer)
10. Toph Beifong (Avatar: the Last Airbender
Alright, to begin my explanations, I want to preface that I very much have a type when it comes to blorbos I obsess over, so much so that my mutuals will often recommend me a new piece of media, along with the likely candidate for my newest blorbo and they are usually correct. So, I usually fall in love with princess-esque characters, who often initially come across as cold and mean, have backstories riddled with family trauma, and who turn out to be completely full of love for their friends and found family. I also tend to really love tsundere characters and characters who see themselves as unworthy of other’s love and affection. Whenever I see a character like that, I just want to love them so much and make everything ok for them.
That being said, if you are familiar with the media these characters are from, you can likely see why I fell in love with the characters I did. There are a few times I will stray further from this description, but for the most part, this fits all of my blorbos to some degree. If you are not familiar, I will avoid spoilers, for the most part.
Beginning with my all-time favorite, Weiss Schnee, I cannot say enough to express just how much I love her. When RWBY starts, she is very much cold, mean, arrogant, stuck up, and in general a really bad person, earning her the nickname "Ice Queen." However, she quickly changes, the love of her friends begins to thaw her frozen heart, and she overcomes the mindset with which she was raised. So much so does she change that by halfway through Volume 1, she has accepted Ruby, whom she had claimed to hate just a few episodes before, as team leader and promises to be the best teammate Ruby will ever have, the two then become incredibly close friends. by the end of Volume 1, she overcomes her father's instilled hatred of the faunus and warmly welcomes Blake back into the team. And by Volume 3, she goes so far as to sacrifice herself for Yang, with whom she usually bickers constantly. And these are just some of the many highlights of her growth throughout these volumes.
Then, in Volume 4 we see just how abusive her home was, her father's psychological, emotional, and even physical abuse, had very much been the cause of her earlier behavior. But she is not the same person now, her life has forever changed, and so she runs away from home and returns to her team. This trend continues throughout the rest of the series and she is constantly shown to be incredibly loving towards and protective of her friends, even if sometimes she hates to admit it.
This peaks in Volume 7, when, once again, she confronts her father and explains that she ran away for "Not just friends. Family."
Onto the next one, Rayla, my adorkable elven assassin. So, to start with, The Dragon Prince was the first show that I really became obsessed with as an adult and really reintroduced me into fan spaces. Because of this, and just how good the show is, I have a very special place in my heart for this show, and Rayla is, without a doubt my favorite character in the show.
Rayla grew up in a village of Moonshadow elves and was raised by her parent’s friends, as her parents were called away from home when she was younger to be a part of the Dragonguard and protect the egg of the Dragon King and Queen. This resulted in serious issues with abandonment and a lack of self-worth, since she felt she wasn’t good enough to keep her parents around. To top this off, she was trained to be an assassin in a culture where one is taught to live as if they were already dead, their life does not matter.
However, as depressing as this sounds and in fact is, Rayla remained a very determined and kind person, with an incredibly good heart. She was unable to kill an unarmed guard on her first mission and later befriended her target and his brother and went on a mission across the continent to return the missing egg of the Dragon Prince to his mother. Along the way, she fell in with Callum, the older prince, and became like a sister to the younger crown prince, Ezran.
Over all, while, her issues of self-worth remain, and her self-sacrificial tendencies are extreme, she is motivated by that same love that is the very center of her being, even though her ways of dealing with things are not the best.
Now for my beloved Rue, she is a complete disaster and I love her so much. Again, we have a girl with an incredibly abusive father, this time an evil giant Raven, who gaslights her constantly into thinking she is unlovable and that the only person who could love her is the fated prince who loves everyone, for only “he could love someone like her.” Now, this results in some very serious trauma and it affects her personality and actions to an incredible degree, and she is an incredibly mean and manipulative person for most of the story, becoming the evil Princess Kraehe
However, as time goes on, she begins to become more self-aware and wakes up from the spell that has made her forget who she is really is and her true self begins to emerge. In the end, she is an incredibly loving girl, who, though she never once had known love in her life, became capable of the truest love. “The more she loved, the more she suffered, and she couldn’t even seek help from anyone. But she never tried to stop loving…”
Nia, my sweet girl Nia, is an absolute precious sweetheart. Again, she was raised by a very mean and unloving father (look, I told you there was a theme), who literally threw her out in a crate, despite being the princess. However, she is the kindest and sweetest character ever and really becomes the loving heart of the team. She is soft, and sweet, and pure, but will also not hesitate to stand up to injustice and put her life on the line for her friends.
In the end, her love is even strong enough to resist the very nature of the being she was made as.
Number 5, Kaguya, is, again (surprising no one), an initially cold girl from one of Japan’s most powerful families. However, despite this cold exterior, which earned her the nickname “Ice Princess Kaguya” (noticing a theme?), is actually an incredibly sweet girl MADLY in love. This love is all consuming and greatly contributes to her change in character, and while she may sometimes revert to her former ways and look down on herself for it, ultimately, she wants to make others happy and see them smile.
Rukia is a very recent addition to this list, as I only just finished Bleach, after starting it 13-14 years ago, last month, but my love for her character is still intense. She’s a little firecracker in the beginning, but despite her attitude, is also shown to be very kind and affectionate to her friends. What sealed the deal for me though, again, her backstory.
Winry from FMAB is another favorite, and one of the ones who doesn’t fit my normal type quite as closely. However, one thing that is consistent for her throughout the series, and the thing I love most about her, is her genuine kindness and love, no matter what happens. Her relationship with Ed and Al and the promises they make to each other are some of my favorite parts in one of the best pieces of media ever made.
Shallan Davar is honestly one of the best written characters I’ve come across in one of the best written book series I’ve ever read (even though I’m still only at the beginning of book three after several months since I started that book). Again, she has an INCREDIBLY traumatic backstory, in fact she takes the cake when it comes to the characters on this list. This affects her so much that she selectively forgets all about it and only remembers it again in pieces as the story goes. As my friend who got me into it can attest, each chapter that had more of her backstory had me screaming and crying.
However, despite this all, she is an incredibly good and principled person, and an incredibly complex and compelling character. Her humor and relationships with the other characters are highlights in an amazing series of high fantasy.
Kanao is an initially emotionless person. Her life has made her suppress any desires in her heart and she only follows orders, either given by her superiors or from the flip of a coin. However, thanks to the influence of Tanjiro, she begins to listen to the voice in her heart and become her own person. In the end, she is incredibly passionate about avenging the loved ones she has lost and protecting those she still has.
And finally, we have one of my favorite characters from when I was younger from one of my all-time favorite shows, Toph. Toph is an incredibly funny and tough character, but she is also incredibly kind and loves her friends so much, just don’t say that to her out loud XD. Again, her parents didn’t truly understand her and tried to make her into someone she was not, and it made her very unhappy. It was only in embracing who she truly was and helping others that she found real happiness, and friendships that last more than a lifetime.

“Tengen is weak”
There will be spoilers for the Entertainment District, or otherwise known as the Red Light District, Arc in the Demon Slayer/Kimetsu no Yaiba manga.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Normally, I don’t do this. But I wanted to talk about this because...why not?
This is going to be a little rant(?) about Tengen and how some people say that he is weak because he needed help from Tanjiro in order to defeat Upper Moon 6.
People also say that he needed help from Zenitsu and Inosuke in order to defeat Daki.
The reason I’m not putting Daki and Gyu as Upper Moon 6 together is because Muzan reveals (after the events of the Red Light/Entertainment Distric arc) that Gyutaro was the true holder of the rank Upper Moon 6. The siblings did not share the rank. At least, in my opinion. I guess it depends on how you interpret Muzan’s words.
-Chapter 98: This is a picture from the official translation in Volume 12.
Tumblr media
So, let me clarify. People are saying that Tengen is a bad/weak Hashira because he needed help from others in order to defeat an Upper Moon. Yes, he did need help, but there’s a good reason for it. I would also like to mention that every other Hashira that has encountered an Upper Moon (before Tengen’s fight with UM6) has died. From what we know, Kanae (the late Flower Hashira) and Kyojuro (the late Flame Hashira) both encountered and fought Upper Moons. Kyojuro fought UM3 (Akaza) and Kanae fought UM2 (Douma). They both died as a result. In all honesty, Tengen is lucky that he survived the fight with UM6.
Upon arriving at the Red Light/Entertainment District, he knew that something was going on. After receiving more information (and Zenitsu going missing), he realized that the situation was very serious and that this was the work of a very strong demon, most likely a member of the Twelve Kizuki. Eventually, Tanjiro is face-to-face with Daki and battles with her. Even Nezuko steps in at one point until Tanjiro restrains her (because she was losing control of herself). Later, Tengen fights Daki himself.
He believes that he has to fight just one demon, who is claiming to be UM6. He doubts that she is though, and says she is “too weak” to be an Upper Moon. I don’t entirely know if he actually didn’t believe that she was an Upper Moon, or if he was just trying to hurt her pride and insult her.
(Honestly, I think he did truly doubt that she was an Upper Moon. Since it was so easy for him to cut her head off.)
-Chapter 85: This is the unofficial translation, so take this with a grain of salt. Unfortunately, I do not currently own Volume 10, where this scene takes place. Once I get it, I’ll revise this section.
Tumblr media
After cutting off her head, Gyutaro appears. Tengen now realizes that there are two demons that he needs to defeat, all while keeping everyone else safe.
He also realizes that Gyutaro is stronger than Daki, and decides to take him on. At one point, he is poisoned by Gyutaro’s Blood Demon Art. So now, he’s dealing with two demons while also slowly dying from poison. Obviously, he was struggling a little bit. Tanjiro steps in, and helps him with Gyutaro. Even one of Tengen’s wives, Hina, helps as well. Zenitsu and Inosuke decide to handle Daki.
Both of the siblings prove to be very difficult, and the poison is making things harder for Tanjiro and Tengen. At one point, there’s a huge blast. Once the dust clears, Tanjiro is unsure if they defeated Gyutaro. He also sees Tengen, a distance away, lying on the ground. His hand has been cut off and he’s bleeding heavily. The poison is also making their conditions worse.
Eventually, both Daki and Gyutaro are defeated and Tengen is basically on the brink of death. But, Nezuko heals him with her Blood Demon Art and he retires from being a Pillar/the Sound Hashira.
So, let’s see. Tengen “defeats” Daki, then he has to deal with both Daki and Gyutaro, then he gets poisoned and is slowly dying, and then his hand is cut off. Of course, the fight was a struggle for him. I would also like to reiterate that, from what we know, two Hashiras previously fought with Upper Rank demons and died. Tengen just being alive after his fight is an achievement in of itself.
So no, Tengen is not weak and he is not a bad Hashira. Upper Ranks are supposed to be difficult to defeat, even for a Pillar/Hashira. Not to mention, Tengen and his wives were Shinobis before they became demon slayers. He has plenty of fighting experience. In fact, his previous experience as a Shinobi is why he was able to survive, and continue fighting after, being poisoned.
He did struggle, but not because he is a weak Hashira.
There were many factors of this fight that made it difficult for him and, let’s not forget, that Gyutaro was an incredibly skilled fighter as well.
I was never good at conclusions, so I’ll just say this.
Uzui Tengen is not a bad Hashira, and he certainly isn't weak.

Thoughts on Tsugikuni Yoriichi?
Well, you asked just at the right time, since I've been in very much of a Yoriichi mood the past two days. I can easily divide my thoughts on Yoriichi into two sections, the first being Yoriichi's role in the narrative, with the second being more on who he is as a character. (Spoilers below the cut)
Yoriichi's Role in the Narrative
I will stand by my assertion that Yoriichi's role in the plot of the story is one of the best executed reveals in Kimetsu no Yaiba. The way that the mystery of the Swordsman with the Hanafuda earrings unfolded throughout the course of the story is simply brilliant. From as early as volume two of the manga, and episodes 7-8 of the anime, we are presented with the idea that whoever this swordsman with Hanafuda earrings was, they terrified Muzan enough for him to send two demonic assassins after Tanjiro mere hours after first meeting him, just because he *might* have been a Sun Breathing user (which, to MJ's credit, he did end up as a Sun Breathing user).
Croc-sensei strings us along masterfully, first making us think that maybe this mysterious swordsman was Tanjuro, or some other Kamado ancestor. Then with the Kokushibo reveal at the end of the Entertainment District arc, our predictions take a darker turn: what ifMuzan turned this swordsman who scared him so much into a demon? How better than to eliminate a threat, then to take control of it? Everything we're ever told about Sun Breathing and Yoriichi doesn't conflict with Upper Moon 1, and given that demons clearly can change their names upon their transformation, as showcased by Akaza and Daki. Even Michikatsu's relationship to Muichiro plays into this deception, from Lady Amane claiming that Muichiro's family is descended from a wielder of the First Breathing Style, to Kokushibo claiming Muichiro as his descendent.
It is only once Kokushibo recalls his past that we're even aware that he and Yoriichi were separate individuals- look-alikes, yes but not the same person, and we get a degree of Yoriichi's backstory. This is around chapter 180 give or take.
Even then, it is only once Tanjiro relives Sumiyoshi's memories that the full extent of Yoriichi's backstory is revealed, and with it, the final form of Sun Breathing, which aids Tanjiro in his defeat of Muzan. This is around Chapter 195-ish. Literally 10 chapters or less from the end of the series.
Gotouge strings this mystery across nearly their whole series, and it remains compelling! By giving us answers, but also raising more questions, there is a distinct sense of progression in how well we think we've figured out Yoriichi, and that is an awesome way to go about a mystery.
Yoriichi as a Character
Ok, so I guess there's no two ways about it; I love Yoriichi. He's a brilliant way of writing an OP character- he's literally born perfect, but his life is far from that. All he ever really craved was a happy life with Uta and their child- but like for so many characters in this series, happiness is fleeting, and when it ends, there's always the smell of blood. He becomes a Demon Slayer because it is the only thing he could do- he was born gifted with the sword and an innate understanding of Total Concentration Breathing, which he uses to revolutionize the Demon Slayer Corps. He reunites with his somewhat estranged twin brother, and if ever there was a character who was Hashira material- it was this guy. So, for a time life is going well for Yoriichi. Nobody can quite pick up Sun Breathing? That's fine, he'll teach them derivative styles that capitalize on their existing strengths and sword styles, the mark of a brilliant teacher. He even encounters Muzan Kibutsuji- the progenitor of all demons, and instinctively understands how to defeat him. He has a chance to end the scourge that demons have been to mankind, and yet, he fails. Of course he scars Muzan permanently in both mind and body, and provides Tamayo a chance to break free of the curse, setting a piece in motion that would be critical to Muzan's eventual defeat.
Then Michikatsu becomes a demon. He's let two demons live- one of them being Kibutsuji himself, and then his twin brother turns traitor essentially. Things start going very poorly for Yoriichi again from this point. Yet despite that, Yoriichi continues on living, and saves a simple charcoal making family, again setting the pieces in motion for Muzan's eventual defeat.
Yoriichi believes himself to be a failure. He was born with the tools to defeat Muzan Kibutsuji, and perhaps even with that sole purpose, supposing there is a form of fate in KNY's universe. Yet, to the people he saved, Yoriichi is anything but that. While he may have not defeated Muzan in his own life, the pieces he set in motion all play critical roles in the defeat of Kibutsuji. That, I think, is one of the most beautiful character messages in KNY: Sometimes, the lives we affect are far more important than any tangible result we could achieve.

Tumblr media
Download or Imgur
Volume 23 also includes new story material: 8 extra pages for chapter 204, 6 extra pages for chapter 205, and 10 pages of epilogue.
If you want just the new pages, then use the link above. If you’re looking for the complete volume 23 with numbered pages, here is the BW folder and here is the color folder.
Not sure what else is left, I think the gaiden volume also came out recently and has some extra stuff. There’s also the 2nd popularity poll I’m dragging my feet on. There’s the fanbook, although I’m not sure if we’re gonna finish it or not. I hear there’s also a 2nd fanbook coming out next year?

Naruto's successor is finally here! ✪ ω ✪
DEMON’S SLAYER (Action/Dark Fantasy/Drama/Surnatural) 2016-2020 – 23 volumes
Koyoharu Gotoge
Rating : 10/10
Tumblr media
For those who are hesitant to read Kimetsu no Yaiba, this review is for you. The best-selling manga in Japan in 2019 and 2020, you must have heard about it. And if you haven't read it yet, let me tell you with these few lines that you're missing out.
Set in the world of historical Japan, Kimetsu no Yaiba will plunge you into a fantasy world filled with demons and demon-slayers. Tanjuro is forced to travel with his sister, Nezuko, in search of a way to turn her back into a human being after she has transformed herself. The decisive element that will push him to make this journey is his meeting with Tomioka, the one from whom we can consider that Tanjuro will inherit in terms of techniques and learning. And this says a lot about the role of Tomioka in Tanjuro's evolution and the importance of their relationship as a pillar of the story.
In addition to offering us very beautiful scenes of action and emotions, it is the extremely well-constructed and original characters that make the richness of this manga. Complex without being impossible, many of them will touch you deeply. And as far as emotional journeys are concerned, hang on because you will be served with painful and meaningful deaths. Perfectly in its category, Kimetsu no Yaiba is an excellent shonen that makes a great entry in the big names of the genre.
You will have understood, that Kimetsu no Yaiba is not to be missed, it is a true masterpiece that will make you vibrate, and has the potential to take over from Naruto. I recommend you to watch the anime which is still in progress and whose dazzling animation perfectly transcribes the atmosphere of the manga.
Only negative point: the end. I'll let you discover it, but the possibilities it opened and didn't explore are unfortunately the only thing that can be criticized in this manga. But that is also up to you, some may be satisfied. In any case, this should not stop you from reading because this detail does not detract from the incredible quality of the story.

They really did it. Weekly Shonen Jump killed Phantom Seer. This series did not deserve to be axed. The artwork by Kento Matsuura was phenomenal. I mean, just look at it:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Whether it’s trying to conveying horror or looking badass, Matsuura succeeds at it and then some.
The story more-or-less stuck to a standards of a Shonen series, that being the narrative starts off with monster-of-the-week stuff that builds up to a bigger threat (i.e. the series’ antagonist) as the story progressed; the story ended right when it was still setting up the antagonist, but with the awesome artwork I had faith it was leading up to something good.
On top of that, it’s baffling as to why Weekly Shounen Jump’s editors axed this series. It’s volume sales were making good numbers, with its first volume selling out and needing a reprint. I’ve seen series starting to form a bit of a fanbase online. And, I’m reading 10 Weekly Shonen Jump series (including Phantom Seer) on the MANGA Plus App; the series are:
One Piece
My Hero Academia
Black Clover
Ayakashi Triangle
SAKAMOTO DAYS
Hard-Boiled Cop and Dolphin
i tell c
WITCH WATCH
The Elusive Samurai
I don’t want any of them to be axed but I would definitely have preferred the 4 bottom series be axed rather than Phantom Seer (I do feel sad preferring Phantom Seer over Ryuhei Tamura’s Hard-Boiled Cop and Dolphin as I actually read through all of Tamura’s preceding and most successful series Beelzebub, which I adore).
On top of all that, Weekly Shonen Jump has had quite a few of it’s long-running successful series reach their end last year (Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, the Promised Neverland, Haikyuu!! and We Never Learn) so they really should be pushing the titles they have to make up for losing some of their big moneymakers, and I really believe that Phantom Seer had the makings of a big mainstay and could have gotten more if Jump just gave it a chance.

Manga the Week of 6/2/21
SEAN: June’s busting manga out all over. Let’s see what’s fallen in front of us.
Airship has two print releases: Adachi and Shimamura 5 and ROLL OVER AND DIE: I Will Fight for an Ordinary Life with My Love and Cursed Sword! 3. They also have an early digital release of I’m in Love with the Villainess 3.
ASH: Oh, that means I still have some time to catch up before it’s released in print!
SEAN: Cross Infinite World has a new novel, Romance of the Imperial Capital Kotogami: A Tale of Living Alongside Spirits (Teito Kotogami Romantan Kinrо̄ Otome to Oshikake Jūsha), about a young woman living as a caretaker to a bunch of handsome yokai. This certainly sounds like a couple of recent Viz shoujo manga titles…
MICHELLE: Definitely conjures some Demon Prince of Momochi House vibes.
ASH: That it does, and thus intrigues me.
SEAN: J-Novel Club has several new digital releases, as we get The Apothecary Diaries 2, Discommunication’s 7th manga volume, Girls Kingdom 3, Marginal Operation’s 7th manga volume, My Instant Death Ability is So Overpowered, No One in This Other World Stands a Chance Against Me! 5, and The World’s Least Interesting Master Swordsman 6.
J-Novel Club also has print titles. We’ll see By the Grace of the Gods 4, How a Realist Hero Rebuilt the Kingdom’s 2nd manga omnibus, In Another World with My Smartphone 16, and Marginal Operation 6.
Kodansha sees the print debut of The Summer of You (Kimi wa Natsu no Naka), a BL story about two teenagers loving to hang out and watch movies, and the love that develops between them. The author is also known for The Two Lions, just licensed by Seven Seas, and about 70 billion Gintama doujinshi.
MICHELLE: I’ve been looking forward to this one!
ASH: I wasn’t previously aware of this series, but now that I am, so am I!
SEAN: Also out in print: Chi’s Sweet Adventures 4, The Heroic Legend of Arslan 14, Hitorijime My Hero 10, Rent-a-Girlfriend 6, Sweat and Soap 6, Wave, Listen to Me! 6, Weathering with You 3 (the final volume), and With a Dog AND a Cat, Every Day is Fun 4.
MICHELLE: I need to catch up on Wave, Listen to Me! and With a Dog AND a Cat, Every Day Is Fun; I enjoyed both a lot for very different reasons.
ASH: I’m definitely here for Wave Listen to Me! . I’ve been meaning to give Sweat and Soap a try, too.
SEAN: Kodansha’s digital debut is Ya Boy Kongming (Papiri Koumei), a shonen title from Comic Days about a Three Kingdoms general reborn into modern Japan.
We also get Chihayafuru 26, Girlfriend Girlfriend 3, GTO Paradise Lost 14, My Dearest Self with Malice Aforethought 5, and With the Sheikh in His Harem 2.
MICHELLE: Insert traditional “yay!” for Chihayafuru.
ANNA: Yay! Also I’m so far behind!
SEAN: Seven Seas debuts The Tale of the Outcasts (Nokemono-tachi no Yoru), which ran in Weekly Shonen Sunday. This tale of a young orphan girl and a beast immortal should appeal to fans of Girl from the Other Side and similar titles.
ASH: Oooh, you have my attention.
SEAN: Seven Seas also has New Game! 11, Peter Grill and the Philosopher’s Time 5, Reincarnated As a Sword 6, and the 15th and final volume of Shomin Sample.
Viz debuts Yakuza Lover (Koi to Dangan – Dangerous Lover), a shoujo title from Cheese! spinoff Premium Cheese!. College girl meets yakuza boy, and despite trying to avoid “bad boys” she’s irresistibly drawn to him. Given it’s Cheese!, I suppose this is more in the “shousei” genre – expect a spicy story.
ANNA: I’m stoked for this and Cheese! spinoffs.
SEAN: There’s also a pile of other Viz. Chainsaw Man 5, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba 22, Dragon Ball Super 13, Jujutsu Kaisen 10, My Hero Academia 28, One-Punch Man 22, Seraph of the End 21, Takane & Hana 17, Twin Star Exorcists 22, Vampire Knight: Memories 6, We Never Learn 16, and Yona of the Dawn 30.
MICHELLE: So much good stuff.
ANNA: Indeed.
ASH: A very good Viz week.
SEAN: Yen On has some May remainder titles that got bumped to June: the 10th Haruhi Suzumiya novel in paperback (it’s actually Books 10 and 11 in one big book), High School Prodigies Have It Easy Even in Another World! 4, Overlord 13, and Strike the Blood 18.
Yen Press likewise has a LOT of “this used to be May” titles. We get As Miss Beelzebub Likes 12 (the final volume), Eniale & Dewiela 3 (also a final volume), Happy Sugar Life 9, If Witch, Then Which? 2, IM: Great Priest Imhotep 9, Love of Kill 2, Monthly Girls’ Nozaki-kun 12, Overlord 13, Shibuya Goldfish 9, Teasing Master Takagi-san 11, The White Cat’s Revenge as Plotted from the Dragon King’s Lap 3, and A Witch’s Love at the End of the World 3 (another final volume).
ASH: Wait, did you say Monthly Girls’ Nozaki-kun?! Hooray!
SEAN: There’s a lot of series in this list I love to bits. What are you getting?

What's In The Demon Slayer : The Endless Train - Blockbuster Anime "Accept Covid 19" Shakes The world Box Office
The COVID-19 pandemic could discourage manufacturers, some blockbusters reschedule or fall, or have to be shown online. But it couldn't stop "Kimetsu no Yaiba" from reaching another record.
2020 is a bleak year for the film industry. Due to the influence of the COVID-19 epidemic, many blockbuster movies have had to reschedule their screening to 2021 or be shown on online channels. But the Kimetsu no Yaiba has become one of the rare exceptions. The film's appeal has led millions of Japanese people to ignore their fear of being infected to go to the cinema.
The Japan Times page quoted information from the Ufotable studio that the movie Kimetsu no Yaiba The Movie: Infinite Train earned more than $ 12 million on its opening day, after three days it reached $ 44 million. After 59 days of release, the film has earned nearly 300 million USD. So far, only Spirited Away has achieved this kind of revenue in Japan, but it took 253 days.
Developed from the famous manga, millions of fans love it
Since its debut, the Sword of Demolition has quickly become the most beloved manga series by many readers. With only 23 episodes, the work has surpassed 100 million copies worldwide. This is also the first series to occupy the Top 10 best-selling manga in a month. In the ranking for the first half of 2020, 19 volumes of the Sword of the Devil are participating. When the next three episodes were released, all 22 positions on the second half of 2020 chart were the works of Koyoharu Gotoge.
In the shonen genre (stories for teenagers), the Demon Slayer Sword is the young Tanjiro's journey in the quest to save his sister Nezuko who has turned into a demon. On a cold snowy night, because he stayed at a village senior's house, Tanjiro did not come home. The next morning, he returned to find his mother and the children being eaten by the devil. Only her sister, Nezuko, was still flickering, but she became a demon after being bitten. Therefore, Tanjiro must study and do his best to find ways to destroy demons, as well as bring his sister back.
The series after being transformed into an anime (cartoon) immediately created a fever across Asia. "King" One Piece ranked top 1 on the chart for the best-selling titles in a decade, first relegated to No. 2, ceding the top spot to the Sword of Demons for its attraction and sales. paralysis. The Sword of Demons is considered one of the four pillars (BIG 4) of the new generation of Shonen Jump magazine, alongside One Piece, My Hero Academia and Black Clover.
