My little siblings watch a show called Sheriff Labrador, and for a little kids show, it's super crazy. It is a series that teaches safety lessons to children, things like not following strangers nor receiving anything from them; but constantly, to teach these lessons, it shows the WORST possible result for not following the safety rules

Such as, for example, a simple lesson, "do not spend a lot of time in front of screens or too close to them, it could hurt your eyesight", how is this problem represented? By a child getting lost after his glasses broke (that it has for spending a lot of time in front of screens) and having the WORST luck in the world to end up in a CARGO ship container almost frozen to DEATH! I feel the need to say that the boy, before his glasses broke, was in the supermarket, nowhere near the cargo ship, his luck was just really that bad

Ok so I recently started rewatching Winx and I had some ideas for if it were rewritten today in a perfect world

More in depth into the romantic relationships (the romance plots fell a little flat :/) and just the group relationships in general.

leave the girlypop girls supporting girls alone. Don’t make it dark

let Techna, Musa, Aisha, etc be more masc. they were fine early on but got forcible feminized

actually just more gender lines bent than normal.

mixed gender schools. Give me a male fairy who is basically a ken. Give me a specialist girl (possibly Aisha). Male witch whose entire personality is gaslight and gatekeep.

More in depth on trauma, at least a few episodes. I want to see Stella suffering in a divorce, Bloom with imposter syndrome and placelessness, Flora and Techna deal with perfectionism and it’s consequences, let Musa grieve, show Aisha’s nightmares about what happened to her friends. More trauma show. Even if there are “fixes” later on show me the consequences.

dont whitewash the characters. It happens a lot in later seasons.

I’m sure I’ll think of more stuff that was good or needed fixing, but feel free to add your own ideas/headcannons of shows you would want rewritten but good.

I started watching Bluey!

I love this show’s whole theme with imaginative play and parenting, but I also love how well rounded the characters are. Not just the Heelers, but the neighbours, relatives, and classmates. Like, Lucky’s dad just going along with the Heeler chaos, or how most of Bluey’s friends and their parents can adapt to her and Bingo’s style of play. It’s a nice community they have and it’s also nice how close everyone is with each other!

Only just finished season 1 with my sister, but I know this show is gonna be up there in faves as well. I’ve laughed, I’ve cried, but I’ve never stopped smiling from start to finish each episode. It’s so charming and sweet, but also funny! It really is a show made for parents with kids, rather than just for kids.

Also, the animation and voice acting has been blowing me away. It surprised me like The Ghost and Molly McGee; I just didn’t expect it to be so smooth and to have such strong dialogue with great delivery. It’s a show worth watching, with or without kids, even if only for a few episodes. It’s a good watch, guaranteed!
