this ask is being sent later than i originally anticipated but if you'd like another title to ramble about i am curious about "Does Everything Go Away?"
Hehehe hoohoo delighted to talk about this one as I am currently lost in the Keet sauce <- is always lost in the Keet sauce
So "Does Everything Go Away?" is a short, fully animated clip that is actually set to a song called "Always Gold" by Radical Face. When finished, it's going to be the last 34 seconds of the song. I've currently got nine seconds of that animated, which I'm very proud of, because I'm new to full animation and this is my very first lip-sync. I've actually posted those 9 seconds before! Here it is again:
[Video description: An animation featuring a chubby young woman from the chest up, shown at night against a starry sky. She is initially shown in profile and has light skin, white freckles across her face, and black hair streaked with white that is tied back. There is white fur over her shoulders and a gold headband in her hair. She is initially looking up sadly at the sky. A section from the end of the song "Always Gold" by Radical Face plays with the following lyrics: "And I heard you say/Right when you left that day/Does everything go away?" She lip-syncs the line "Does everything go away?" while looking pained. She then looks at the viewer while tears run down her cheeks. End description.]
For context: this is my D&D PC Keet, my little amnesiac girl, and the clip itself concerns her brother, whom she doesn't remember. She has...some abandonment issues lol. We haven't actually met her brother in the campaign yet, so I'm going to wait until I know a little more about him before I edit his part of the clip, but he's going to respond to her with the following lyric, "Yeah, everything goes away."
Thanks Opal <3

Guess who did too much thinking while struggling to draw and obsessively thinking about pokemon and came to the conclusion she's probably agender??
SURPRISE IT'S ME! YA MOUSE! I still go by She/Her cause ya know pronouns don't always match gender and they feel right even though I think I'm maybe not a woman? I need to do some more thinking on it, but at the moment it feels really REALLY right so uhhh yeah.

O Mighty Apollo, Slayer of Python, if you are to bestow me temporarily with the gift of prophecy let it be for this:
Something is going to happen, and it’s going to seem bad at first, but then it’s actually a really really good thing, and it kicks off many good things for years to come

GUYS AAAAH I WAS LOOKING AT AN OLD POST AND REMEMBERED A HORRIFIC SHIP I USED TO HAVE FOR PIPIT
Ok so
Back when I first played SkSw I was like, a third of the way through I think? And anyway I really liked Pipit, and I really liked Orielle, and ya know I’m the type of person who likes to ship characters if I really like them both. *deep breath* SO ANYWAY I hadn’t gotten to the Cawlin letter sidequest, I had only seen Karane like one time and she “yelled” at me for not opening the door and for also entering her room at night so I assumed (incorrectly) that she was a really stuck up snob and uh. Basically
I knew she got with Pipit, but I didn’t want her to. (Ikr, like, I can’t believe myself)
So yeah…um
I kinda wrote a whole fic about Pipit/Orielle :/
In the fic, Karane broke up with Pipit for no reason, got together with CAWLIN OF ALL PEOPLE, and then made fun of Pipit and yelled at him for breaking up with her even though?? He didn’t?? (My logic was so great)
So uh. Then sad boy Pipit went off and was like crying in the shadows or smth and he had a talk with either Owlan or Horwell (not sure which) and then Link, and then he met Orielle who even tho he lives on Skyloft, which is TINY, he apparently had never met before?? And anyway what happened is Orielle was going on her first knight patrol shift bc even though she didn’t graduate the academy, she was really good with Loftwings so they let her (I, uh, may or may not still like THAT idea but I digress…) so she and Pipit talked for a brief bit and then? I just never updated the fic anymore
(I think I have things out of order but still)
So anyway that was me, and my irrational mind that shipped Pipit/Orielle before I actually got the Cawlin letter sidequest and realized what a fool I had been because, just like Link/Zelda, Pipit/Karane is best :3

Love when Pyro makes a new Imp who’s supposed to be scary/evil (sometimes) and we bully them as soon as they’ve had some screentime ‘cos we just love them that much.

Did you just want to talk about people's known fears then? :p Here do these then:
Sleet drowning
Reed dogs
Wheet agoraphobia
Well, Sleet's is probably the best known story. Maybe, possibly, the only one /with/ a story? Idk for sure and maybe we'll find out when I ramble about the next two. But as an unrelated example, there's no story between Keet and heights.
Anyway. Sleet. Well actually, I'm not sure if I know /for sure/ this is where their fear of drowning came from but I did always assume it cropped up after Fleece tried to, you know, drown them. I guess it's not impossible that the fear already existed and Fleece was using it against them, but that's not how I've read the situation whenever you mentioned it.
The thing about Sleet is like... They're so collected. Mature. So, I imagine that rather than letting the fear get the better of them they just avoid it entirely. They can't be afraid of being close to water if they're never, you know, close to it.
Maybe not super useful in a spy but I'm sure they have ways around it. Sending others in where they need someone near water, etc.
Reed and dogs is actually another one I don't see as having a 'story' to it? Although as I've sat here thinking about it, I think the idea of reoccurring nightmares is fun. Again, not from any particular event except maybe just. Seeing a dog as a kid? And then nightmares through a lot of his childhood just leaving a lingering terror.
Of course this is Reed so he'd never admit to it. I'm not sure how he'd react to being around dogs - presumably he's okay-ish with small ones. Probably still dislikes them a lot, but isn't necessarily terrified. It's the big ones with big teeth that really get at him. Still, I can't see Reed running from anything. I imagine he masks fear the same way he does any other negative emotion - with fury/anger/violence.
Wheet, again, very interesting. Given they grew up in small quarters full of a lot of people and came out of that caring deeply for their family, it's curious that they have agoraphobia. In my mind, it might come from a combination of like... I think limelings just have sensory issues across the board. Too much clutter, too many people, too much noise - nightmare scenario, and Wheet is more sensitive than the rest. Added to that a healthy dose of self-deprecation and that idea of everyone who sees you is judging you.
Also, thinking on this literally as I type, I wonder if it's like... Home is comfortable clutter. Like being swaddled. Outside is strangers, and maybe it's crowded but it's also so open. Who's watching out for you there? Who's going to help you if you need it?
Or even.. Idk... The outside world keeps taking their siblings, doesn't it?

Here are some rambling thoughts on my train home about the game last night:
Tumblr media
I don't have a fixed seat in the East Stand (wasn't sure how many home games I'd get to so didn't think there was much point having a set seat if it was going to be empty for various games) so I was sitting in the West Stand. Think I've only ever watched half a game from that side before but I really enjoyed it. At first I thought I was a bit too close to the Man City fans and their drum but I took a lot of joy from trying to drown out the "City" chants after the drum beats with chants of "Arsenal" instead. After a quiet start most people were joining in and after a while the drum stopped...
Ended up right next to the press box as well (not sure why it was moved to the other side for this game 🤷‍♀️) and could hear some of the commentary for, I think, maybe the FA Player or BBC 5Live. The commentator was being very descriptive about the colour of the sky at a couple of points so I wondered if it was for radio. Also ended up in Tim's photo of the celebrations after Katie's goal! 😂
Tumblr media
Think I was taking a photo at this point, was definitely doing lots of cheering and clapping as well!
Lauren Hemp was near me for most of the first half - she was constantly calling for the ball but was seemingly invisible to her City teammates when she was open on the wing. If I'd been her I would have been raging at half time! I was very glad they were stupidly ignoring her tbh, I was def most worried when she had the ball. Must say though that Noelle did brilliantly to contain her.
Tumblr media
It was great to see both Noelle and Steph up close actually - they were both hit with injuries last season and obviously didn't play in front of the fans so it was brilliant to have each of them near us in each half and see them bossing it.
Jennifer Beattie 👏 Those defensive headers 😍 Think she was first to the ball on pretty much all City's set pieces - so happy she's back with us!
The pressing generally was excellent throughout but Kim and Beth particularly just did not stop running! Felt a bit bad for the City defenders towards the end tbh - Beth, Viv, Frida and Katie went off but our subs just kept up the intensity and continued pressing.
Really exciting to think about all our subs and the fact we can actually rotate properly and not lose any quality on the pitch. Guessing we'll prob see Keets, Mana, Caitlin and Lotte start on Wednesday - maybe even Tobin, although she may just sub in earlier than she did tonight. Hopefully we'll see Jord back on the pitch too! This is what we've really missed in the last few seasons and is just what we need with the busy schedule ahead.
Little bit of video I took of the subs warming up - when was the last time we had so many first team subs available?!?!
Captain Kim I love you. I always do, but last night she was just brilliant.
Really want Frida to score - so close at one point! Thought she was excellent yet again, what a signing!
So pleased for all the goal scorers but Leah scoring right at the end really put the cherry on the top of a fantastic evening.
The confidence the team are playing with at the moment is just wonderful to see and it's so great to see, especially after last season.
Loved that because Katie and Beth both had to leave at their closest edge of the pitch when they were subbed off they basically did a lap of honour walking back to the bench with everyone cheering/singing for them as they went past.
The atmosphere was great tbh, seemed like a lot more than just over 2000 - I wonder how it came across on TV, especially as the City fans and their drum were much closer to the cameras/microphones than most of the sections of the crowd that were singing/chanting. Was really funny after Katie scored though - 3 separate sections of the crowd starting singing "We've Got McCabe" at slightly different times so it was a bit like they were singing a round 😂
Something that I really love about going to Arsenal games, especially when I've gone on my own, is that more often than not I end up chatting to the other fans I'm sitting with - there's something so lovely about sharing the experience of the game with people you don't know but share the same love for this team.
