"Plap Plap Plap" AND "Get Me Pregnant" (With Kaneki~)
Send "Plap Plap Plap" for my muse's reaction to yours telling them to get pregnant during sex. Send "Get Me Pregnant" for my muse begging to be bred.

"Ah ha-ah, fuck, yes! Knock me up, Ken~" Ren purred, rocking his hips against Kaneki's hungrily. It felt so good, to have his lover inside of him. And he longed to have his babies inside him too.
"Oh, our kids will look so cute...Please please get me pregnant!"
But oh, wouldn't it be cute if Kaneki could also carry their children? He'd love to be able to share that experience with him~!

Kaneki:
Tumblr media
Very happy, tbh he couldn't believe it.
he didn't think it'd ever happen and he was shocked.
if you're a human he is worried for you though.
He almost wonders if it's even worth it, to put you through that since you may not make it.
But if you're more than willing to have it, he will support you but he is still pretty worried.
Loves to spend time with you and feeling the baby kick.
He really wants a girl and is probably more enthusiastic about this than you are.
Is on board with making a nursery, like he'd ask everyone at Cafe Re to help him.
It's pretty funny.
He'd even go shopping for baby clothes because he's just excited.
Kaneki would have everything ready before the baby would even arrive, he'd babyproof the apartment.
While he's putting in hard work every weekend, you enjoy seeing him do all of this shirtless.
And he insists that you rest and don't help him because doesn't want anything to happen and because you're going through a lot right now.
And you love that he's going to work and making this all happen. He is extremely hard working and you're happy that he cares this much.
Wants maternity pictures of you, like he'd pay for so many photos.
They are probably all in white.
He wants to make Hide and his girlfriend the godparents of your child.
He can't wait and is there every step of the way, so I think he was very supportive of it all.
Mostly because he loves you.
Hide:
Tumblr media
Is really excited.
the first time you told him it was a prank he was down about it.
he was like shouting it to the whole world that he was gonna be a dad.
and then like having you say you're joking, he's just like what?
he's gonna be so mad at you for that.
But then a year later you actually got pregnant so the joke was on you.
He didn't believe you when you first told him.
"Are you really trying to pull that again?"
But when you showed him pictures of the sonography, he couldn't believe it. He was overjoyed.
So overjoyed that the same day he went out shopping with you to buy things the baby would need.
He hopes it's a boy but he'd also love a girl so he doesn't care what it is. He's like hella excited about this.
You and Hide made the nursery together and had a lot of fun even if you were on a budget since you both are in college still.
But you two are both willing to make it work.
You probably painted it once you knew the gender and you two had to make sure things were safe enough for it too.
He'd spend countless hours looking at things for babies and he'd ask Kaneki for help on pregnancy books you should read up on.
He bought so many books about handling babies and baby names.
"What about Dalihila?"
"Hide, we've talked about this before, no more names that are in mainstream songs."
"But--"
"No buts."
"Fine, but if it's a boy its---"
"Hide Jr. I know, I know."
Ayato:
Tumblr media
Omg, he was so shocked.
like really surprised, he didn't ever think it was possible.
He just didn't think it'd happen, I mean, not even you.
This is because you guys had been with each other for years so I mean it just wasn't something you guys thought about.
After like 5 years, it was definitely a surprise.
You become really sassy and have mood swings, but you try to keep it under wraps.
But some days are worse than others and let's just say Ayato fears for his life at some points.
So he has to make sure he makes this less stressful for you and tries to be on your good side 99.9% of the time.
He asks his uncle Ren for advice all the time even though Ren’s never been in this position.
His sister gets mad at him for not being up to date with things.
Doesn't mind what the gender is but hopes it's a boy and not a girl.
Mostly cause he finds a girl harder to take care of and he likes to train the boy.
The kid would so have his blue hair.
He likes to k*ss your belly all the time before he leaves for work.
Ayato lets you buy all the baby clothes since he's not sure where to start, but he does actually make a scrapbook of the whole journey of your pregnancy and then gives it to you—so he is a softie deep down.
But like hell he’ll let anyone find out about that.
If he notices that you’re eating much more than usual, he’ll point it out just to teas*e you.
Which leaves his sister to smack him over the head if she’s nearby.
Would probably faint during labor—like, no joke, dis boy can’t take it.
But if he doesn’t, it’s taking everything in him to survive—it’s almost like he’s the one in labor, not you xDD.
Yomo:
Tumblr media
Is confused when you first told him because he wasn't expecting it.
If you're human especially he thinks it's pretty crazy since it almost never happens.
Ren wasn’t ready to be a dad so suddenly but he didn’t mind it since he cared.
He was happy actually.
When you told him it took him a few minutes to register the news.
Apart from him being shocked, he smiled right after.
Cause he was actually happy, well it’s mostly cause he cared.
Although he does worry he's not a good father because he says he’s not good with the sentiment, but he’s better than he thinks when it comes to his kid tho.
Now let's talk about when you are pregnant.
Likes to hug you from behind and feel your baby bump.
He would rarely talk to the baby but sometimes he would, and it’s mostly when you’re either sleeping or he’s laying down beside you while you’re awake.
Secretly he was working on making a nursery, but like hell he’d let anyone else find that out.
He built the crib too so he spent countless hours in this room.
Minus the many splinters and curses he screamed behind the door when things didn’t go right.
You once walked in to see if he was okay, and he told you he was fine.
Ren probably got a family car too.
Although he is quiet, he does care a lot so he thinks about a lot of things for you and the baby.
Talks about all the things he wants to do when the baby is born.
Would be really worried when the delivery comes around tbh.
He does teas*e you about getting bigger sometimes.
Don’t ask him for help with naming the kid. He is horrible.
He never knows what he wants to name it.
Labor is not his thing but he doesn't faint like Ayato, but he would definitely turn green.
I think the whole idea of being a father does kind of scare him and he gets stressed.
Which is why you always tell him to take it easy.
It almost feels like he’s pregnant and not you xDD
He is a little hard on himself since he wants to raise this kid right.
Is probably a little strict as a father, especially if he has a daughter.
Like that kid would have be home by 6 not 9—in fact, Ren might be so overprotective that he ends up chaperoning his daughter’s dates.
Whether the baby be a boy or girl, they’d definitely inherit his white hair.
Surprisingly, they didn’t get his rather-stoic personality, so the baby is pretty energetic and always smiles at him.
It also loves messing with his hair too, or pulling it.
Uta:
Tumblr media
Okay, idk why but I feel like there’s a chance he doesn’t want his girlfriend’s baby. This mainly is because he is just not serious. Even if he was serious with someone he may back out of being a father.
If this happens you’d obviously would be mad and the both of you would argue, espically after he tried to be in his kid’s life later on. After they were like a toddler since you had already done all the hard work on your own.
But anyways, let’s say he’s serious about his girlfriend and actually wants it.
I think it would be a girl or twins that are a girl and a boy.
But I mostly see him having a little girl.
Anyways, he’s excited, like really excited.
I know that sounds weird since he doesn’t change expressions more than half of the time but believe me he’s really happy about this.
I could also see that he’d really want this kid and you don’t because you don’t think you two are fit to be parents. So I do see that you two argued about having this baby whether he supported the idea or not.
In either case, you two would fight about the possible upbringing the child could have because of what Uta was once a part of, and because of what you both have done in the past.
“I’m not scared about having this baby. I’m scared of what we’re bringing into the world and what it could become---Our child would be a trainwreck!”
“So what are you saying, you don’t want it?”
“Maybe, I don’t know . . . but I know that we are not fit to be parents.”
Anyways, let’s just say you two are happy about this though.
He’d probably be more clingy for some strange reason. He rests his chin on your shoulder and likes to hug you from behind.
Comes up with silly ideas for the nursery.
“We should paint this room black.”
“It’s a baby room, not your studio.” You’d cross your arms.
“Trust me, this kid is going to love black.”
“Uta, I really think we should stick to what’s more normal for a nursery. Just for once could you not be so abstract?”
“But the baby will be an artist.”
“We don’t know that!”
You two paint it together tho, but this does end up with a paint fight too.
He’s always taking pictures or videos of you because he’s making this baby journal for the kid.
The most annoying part about it is that he catches you in moments when you’re just not in the mood.
“Y/n, smile.”
“Turn it off.” You’d say, rolling your eyes.
“Say something.”
“I really hate you right now.” You’d say whilst resting on the couch since you were tired and fed up with his sh*t.
He’d turn the camera over to himself and say, “Mommy’s not in the mood to talk right now.”
Uta probably annoys the hell out of you by telling you that your scent has changed.
“You smell sweet.”
“My scent hasn’t changed.”
“No, you just don’t notice the difference.” He’d insist.
“Uta, how can you notice every little thing about me?”
“It’s simple, Y/n.” He’d smirk before going on to say, “its cause we have a lot s*x.”
“Uta!” Your jaw would drop as you hit his shoulder.
He’s already making a mask for your kid once they're older.
Since you can’t technically go and see a doctor to know the gender which is a bit of a challenge. I have no idea if ghouls have a different way of knowing the gender but it might be possible, it might have to do with the mother’s scent changing. I say this since ghouls know the difference between the scent of a male and female ghoul so idk maybe it's possible.
Once your stomach was a lot more noticeable he kinda got a little more protective and cautious of your well-being. So he wouldn’t let you do everything by yourself cause he thinks you should take it easy.
Tho he’s still an ass so he does poke your stomach sometimes and teas*es. “There’s a mini Y/n in there.”
“How can you be so sure?”
“I’m not, I’m just hoping.”
Furuta:
Tumblr media
He’s f*cking proud of himself and damn is he a tea*se about it.
As a bf we all know that he has a lot of sass so be prepared.
He probably knew that you were pregnant, he was just waiting for you to tell him.
“I have something to tell you.” You smiled bashfully.
“I’m all ears, babygirl.” He joked.
“Okay, well, I’m pregnant!” You exclaimed excitedly.
“I knew it!” He smiled before bringing you into a hug making you giggle.
Whether it's a girl or a boy he doesn’t care but I see him having a girl.
As soon as you know the gender you two have to go shopping.
Buys only designer stuff for the baby and the nursery—like there are no exceptions.
Even the diapers are designed!
Likes it if you have a maternal photoshoot. He’d be all for it tbh.
He’s the one thinking of all the cute girl names he could possibly give his child.
K*sses the baby bump all the time. Sometimes he’s just annoying to you.
After your first baby, he’d instantly try to have another one.
Mostly cause he wants a lot of kids.
Likes lots, we’re talking like 5 or 6.
When cuddling with you, he likes to caress your baby bump and maybe say some cute things to it as if the baby can hear him xDD.
Will make sure you’re getting the best nutrition to ensure you and the baby are healthy through this entire process.
This one is shorter because I just can’t see him being good. Realistically he would just be horrible.
He’d treat the Y/n horrible if he had a kid with her since he’s not exactly normal, and I mean he’s abusive.
Takizawa (ghoul):
Tumblr media
Okay, he was surprised that you were he just didn’t think it would happen.
The way you ended up telling him was a very soft moment.
You came into the cafe you both owned and he was in the back cleaning some things since it was closed for right now. When you surprised him with a smile he was intrigued to know what got you in such a mood.
“Hi, baby!” You smiled coming towards him to give him a k*ss.
“Hey, what’s going on?” He’d smile, putting aside the stuff he was working with to hug you.
“I have some news.”
“Hmm, I’m listening . . .” He smiled, his hands still around your waist.
“But as excited as I am, I’m worried about what you’ll think.” You lost your smile a little here not wanting him to flip out.
He moved his hands to push you from your face a little as he made you look at him, “Hey, there’s nothing you can say that would change anything . . . so c’mon tell me.”
“Well, how about I just show you.” He looked at you confused as you moved his hand down to your stomach.
“What are you---”
“Just listen, just listen . . . do you hear it? That’s our child’s heartbeat, Sei.” You smiled with watery eyes as he looked at you with surprise but it only grew into a big smile.
“We’re going to be parents.” He stated softly as you nodded your head.
It was here he hugged you and spun you around after hearing such news which made you giggle.
Okay, now he treats you a little differently considering that you’re carrying a baby.
But let me just say that this man became more attractive with how loving he is to you about this.
He sleeps beside you but always makes sure you fall asleep first. Probably has a protective hand over your baby bump and your waist. I wouldn’t be surprised.
Likes to see the growth of the baby bump so you take pictures.
He goes shopping with you to plan for the baby and make the house all baby-proof for when the time comes.
Taki likes to buy you a lot of sundresses cause he knows how comfortable they are considering they don’t hug around you. Plus he likes to see you in white sundresses.
Wouldn’t mind some maternity photos of you, he’d find them cute actually. He might be skilled enough to take them himself.
He listens to all your needs and wants and even your cravings, especially if they found a way for ghouls to eat human food by the time this happens.
Is building you a f*cking nursery in a tight shirt or shirtless and we know this.
If you try to help he gets mad and tells you to sit down.
He’d probably come up the name with you and you’d like his suggestion.
I could see him having a daughter, idk y but it just makes sense.
This would make him such a softie.
The baby has his white hair.
His daughter can do anything because he just can’t tell her no.
He freaking loves her, and you. Those are the two most important women in his life.

I wanted to write mini fic based on more domestic touken based and inspired on the recent and last beautiful chapter to the series of Tokyo Ghoul, so here’s my small fluff addition. Nothing amazing, just a lot of fluff haha. Hope you enjoy~
Touka stood by the door to the study, watching Kaneki type away at his computer with his glasses slipping down his nose every now and again. His brows furrow and his lips form into a pout as he leaned back into his seat, making Touka almost burst out into chuckles as she watched her dorky husband with soft eyes. He had been working so hard on his own work, knowing how eager he had been since starting his own little project. It kept him busy, though she was sure to always remind him not to overwork himself.
Kaneki, as if sensing Touka, turned to her with a pleasantly surprised smile. It had been six years since the Dragon War and yet it was still so refreshing to see that smile again, a smile so sweet and filled with honest joy. It was always a reminder that they finally had everything they could’ve asked for - a family, a peaceful home and a life they could call their own. That single sweet smile reminded her of all that. She hoped it would never disappear again.
“I’ve brought some coffee.” Touka places his hot mug of coffee on the desk, Kaneki leaning up to place his hands on her hips, his face turned up to face her. He was practically beaming at this point. “Making the last improvements to your book?” He nodded and his eyes slowly moved down to her round stomach, one hand resting on top and rubbing small circles.
“Yeah, it turned out better than I thought.” He said with a small hint of pride, resting his head against her stomach. She giggled and brushed her fingers through his soft hair, knowing how much he loved being so close to their soon to be born second child. What a sap. “But right now…” he stood up, tugging her closer and tilting her head up, “I think I should rest.”
“Mm, is it because I nagged you last time?” She smirked and he chuckled, pulling her longer hair over one shoulder where his eyes landed at her bite mark. She always worried about him so much - it was as heartwarming as it was bothersome, not that he didn’t appreciate it of course. “Maybe.” He chuckled, leaning down to plant a light kiss against her lips.
“I’d help with your work, but, well…” She bit her lip, not sure if she was willing to admit he was much better than her in Japanese. “I’m not a huge nerd like you. Like who even uses the word calumniator? It’s so dumb.”
“Touka-chan,” he gave her another smile, pressing his lips to her head and  he tightened his arms around her a little, “don’t blame the words for your lack of knowledge.”
“Did you just call me dumb?!” Touka snapped, feeling Kaneki laugh against her cheek. “Don’t tempt me, Ken, this baby bump is deadlier than it looks.”
“So cute.” Kaneki mumbled and Touka lightly slapped his arm, continuing to throw death threats at him. He leaned back and saw her puffy cheeks, kissing both and he saw her crumble at his sweet nothings. “Careful, you’ll give our little boy your temper.”
Pouting again, he distracted her with more kisses, saying he loved her temper along with several other things. All the while, he continued feeling her stomach through her, well his, shirt, completely taken away with the small kicks he felt against his hand. It had been a while since he been through this joyful experience, remembering how he would always do the same with Mai when Touka was first pregnant. It reminded him of what he had, of what he was living for and what he wanted to live for in the future. He already had the perfect family, still at times in disbelief at what he could finally call his own. And now he was going to have another beautiful child, something he still didn’t think he deserved, along with his wonderfully amazing daughter who was so many things and more.
And Touka was still by his side, just like she always was. It was so silly how giddy he got, but he couldn’t help it; not when she was in his arms like this, staring up at him with those big beautiful eyes he’ll never tire of looking at and that told him all he needed to know in any situation. She was so perfect and he shouldn’t of had the chance to fall in love with her, to kiss her, to have a family with her. To say her name every single day with all the love he could convey.
“Touka-chan.” She raised a brow, a little worried at his seriousness, but he simply cupped her face in his hands and kissed both eyelids shut, ghosting kisses down her cheek where he brushed his lips against hers, feeling Touka smile against him. “Touka, I-”
“Mama! Papa!” Mai burst into the room, legs and hands covered in mud and a wide gappy smile on her flushed face. Her ‘sesame pudding’ hair, as Touka called it, was ruffled. Wasn’t it tied up before..?
“Look at what I found. Look!” She tugged at Kaneki’s leg, both parents trying to ignore the mud. In her other hand, she proudly held up a stag beetle, making Kaneki tense up and Touka light up. “It’s a- a stang beetle!”
“Stag beetle, baby.” Touka corrected, though Mai wasn’t really listening, hopping around with a probably terrified bug in hand, shouting it’s name. “That one is real big, isn’t it, Ken?” She smirked as she saw Kaneki nervously nod, his eyes undecisive in whether they wanted to admire his beautifully energetic daughter be proud at her accomplishment, or to save himself from looking at that..that...thing.
Touka’s head them quirked up, a sly smirk tugging at the corner of her lips at the rememberance that Ayato and Yomo were supposed to be with her. After asking Kaneki to deal with her, his almost disdained look of desperation only adding to her amusement, she waddled back into the living room, seeing Yomo and Ayato crouched and clutching one another in the corner. Hinami was in the middle of both taking selfies with them and comforting them.
Touka took her own phone out ready, deciding now was probably a good time for that christmas card photo. It was amazing how much Ayato ended up resembling Yomo after all these years, though she was pretty sure he hadn’t figured out their actual relation like she had. Though it didn’t matter much, they were still incredibly close, something Touka could be proud to say for her family at last. And to think all of them had been so distant for so long, though they couldn’t help the cruel circumstances. She was more than happy with how things were now. It was almost perfect. If only they weren’t such babies.
Yomo was frozen and Ayato was quivering, trying to stand every now and again only to tumble down dramatically every time. Though, just when Touka was about to lecture about their melodrama, Hinami gave him a tight hug and he seemed to break character, his face a bright red as he called Hinami a big idiot - even if he pulled her into an even tighter hug for ‘needed therapeutic comfort.’
“Get a room, you saps.” Touka teased, pulling the traumatised Yomo up. “Shut up.” Ayato yelled back, his face like a kicked puppy when Hinami moved back with a sweet giggle.
Kaneki eventually joined them, Mai in his arms and her muddy handprints all over his cheeks. Giving Touka an awkward smile, she rolled her eyes with a smile and grabbed a cloth from the kitchen to clean her two idiots.
“The beast- I, aha, mean, Mr. Stag has been graciously released back to the wild.” Mai nodded at her dad’s words, squishing her muddy hands as she shuffled in his arms. “He will be missed dearly…”
“Honestly, with everything we have been through, a tiny bug shouldn’t be an issue.” She stuck her tongue out Mai as she cleaned her cheeks, making her laugh delightfully. They all watched Mai fondly as Touka moved on to Kaneki, the two gazing at each other playfully as she pinched his cheek. “And could you really not have avoided this mess? Oh wait, I remember, you need to make a statement with you always returning in sewage and blood and-”
“That’s not fair!” He protested, but she silenced him with a quick kiss, caressing his cheek and her eyes wandered to the black mark that trailed from his eye, a reminder of their past. “Does it bother you?”
Touka looked up in surprise, before frowning and pinching his cheek again. “No, of course not! I was just thinking of the past…But it’s fine. I’m just more thinking of our future.” He smiled and nuzzled his nose against hers, her words always being what he needed.
“Gross, get a room!” Ayato yelled and she threw the cloth at him, Mai laughing and using the sponge she had to attack Ayato too, her evil grin almost identical to her mothers’.
This was the only future all of them wanted and it was sure to be a beautiful one.

do you have any ayahina baby headcanons?? I can't stop thinking about it
with their own baby? sureeee
i was thinking like since touka and kaneki has a girl and their next one is probably like a boy (like the kirishimas), what if ayahina had a boy, a girl and then another boy like the yomos did. so anyway, their first child is a boy.
hinami’s pregnancy kinda surprised ayato because he tries to be careful about it, aside from maybe one or two times when they didn’t use protection. how unlucky but it’s ayato so /shrug/
no one else is surprised when hinami tells them she’s pregnant and they’re even less surprised when she says ayato is the father.
ayato is super protective of her while she’s pregnant. he doesn’t let her do anything at all, not like she does much when he’s around anyway.
they were trying to come up with names for their kid but they’re both really useless at is since ayato thinks ‘blood abyss’ is cool while hinami literally named her bird ‘loser’ so they go to touka and kaneki to help. kaneki comes up with a list of names, but it’s ichika who chooses it-- she’s just looking at the list and she randomly screamed a name out or something
i’m stealing the name i used from another fic, but it’s ‘haru’ and the meaning has something to do with light from (what i have in my fic notes) but anyway please don’t think of that water guy
when hinami is in labour in the hospital ayato’s too confused to do anything. he’s in the ward with her, the nurses and doctors are running around, but he’s just staring at all of them wide-eyed, not sure what he should do. hinami looks like she’s in pain as she tries her best to push. it hurts him seeing her in pain but he’s so proud of how much effort she’s putting into it. he takes her hand and holds it tightly, whispering softly to her and urging her on.
when he hears the cry of his son, ayato freezes for a moment. he doesn’t know how to react nor does he understand the feelings he had at that moment. it takes a while, but one of the nurses brings a small bundle over to him and passes it to him. he takes the baby gently, but also with a lot of hesitation-- the kid is small and he feels so fragile, what if he hurts him?
he doesn’t have anything to say as he looks down at his son. he’s so beautiful. he feels too overwhelmed to speak. it’s the first time in a long time, but ayato realises he’s crying. after everything that’s happened, after everything that he’s done and after all their struggles and pain, he can’t believe this is actually happening. it feels like a dream. it feels like he doesn’t deserve it. but it’s real. it’s happening. hinami’s there. his son is there. he’s a father now. hinami’s a mother. they’re a family. he has his own family.
“hinami!” he chokes out, turning to her and showing the baby to her. “hinami, look at our son.”
hinami’s so exhausted that she can’t physically share his excitement. but he knows she feels just as happy. she weakly raises her hand and she lightly strokes the baby’s face.
“our son...” she murmurs. “haru.” she doesn’t have much to say either and it’s not even because of her exhaustion. she finds it surreal too. the last time she had a family was over ten years ago. sometimes, it’s easy to forget what a family feels like. she’s not like ayato-- he has a sister. her parents were suddenly robbed away from her when she was young. looking at ayato and their son now, hinami vows that she’ll protect them, that she won’t let anything happen to the both of them.
since hinami is a teacher, she probably has fixed working hours while ayato probably only has to work whenever he has a mission. i feel like shuu and banjou will probably be more lenient on him and let him off work whenever he needs to take care of the kid. when hinami’s able to go back to work, ayato finds himself taking are of their kid more and more while she’s at work. he kind of gets reminded of his own father, and how arata had taken care of him and his sister when they were younger.
not to say hinami’s completely absent or anything. ayato’s probably there with the kid in the day/afternoon and hinami’s probably there in the evening/night. they kinda try to shuffle their timing when ayato does have to go to work. hinami probably spends her time reading books to their child. the kid probably ends up picking up her love for books as well. when he grows up, he picks up a lot of his mother’s personality and hobbies, though he looks almost exactly like his father.
ichika loves her baby cousin. she and her younger brother always come to visit. touka and kaneki drop by with them as well and they always give advice and tips to the younger couple. their families are very close.
the first time haru falls sick, ayato wakes touka up in the middle of the night by calling her and screaming to her over the phone. it turns out to be nothing much-- ayato overreacted way too much-- and touka tells him what to do. haru recovers by the time he gets up in the morning. ayato is kinda embarrassed about the big fuss he made but hinami thinks it’s cute.
hinami never lets ayato buy clothes for their son. she knows how bad his taste in clothing is. but she also knows what ayato likes so she always dresses him up in cute bunny-themed clothes. once she even buys a matching family set and ayato’s like ‘what the fuck’ (but he wears them everywhere).
when haru’s a little older, ayato teaches him how to fight. hinami gets worried thinking that it might make him violent (like ayato was in the past) and that he might do something but ayato tells her that he’ll make sure haru doesn’t become like that. ever. it’s the part of his life he has the biggest regrets over and he’ll make sure that never happens with their child. he does point out that even if they’re in a relatively peaceful world, self-defense is still important as there are dragon spawns still running around anyway. haru is generally a gentle and quiet boy so hinami’s fears are put to ease pretty soon.
anyway, when haru’s about 2-3, hinami gets pregnant again

Rating: T
Words: 2456
Notes: Ahhh I can’t believe it’s completed. Thank you so much for reading this! Enjoy the final chapter and let me know what you think! :)
She was six months pregnant when her final string reappeared. To be honest, she didn’t know what to think of it.
She knew it won’t be Kaneki again, as he had already cut off- no, pierced his final string in front of her.
So this soulmate would be someone else. Someone nearby, as she was in her house when the string reappeared.
Someone who had just moved in, or had just visited 16th ward.
She couldn’t help but wonder…
If he saw her huge stomach, would he be repulsed by it?
Would he cut the string the moment he saw her?
Or would he stay and take care of the child that wasn’t even his own?
She laughed, bitterly.
He will never accept this child.
She decided to stay in her house, and not going out to avoid meeting her soulmate until the baby was born.
Yomo and Ayato were kind enough to help her with groceries, but Yomo recommended her to stay with him as it was too dangerous for a single pregnant mother to live alone.
She informed him that she would move out when she reached seven months of pregnancy.
So for just another one month, she would stay in her own house, alone.
When she told Kaneki that she wouldn’t be happy if it wasn’t him, it was true.
She didn’t think her soulmate would make her happy. But then again, all Kaneki ever gave her was pain. And a child. Those were the harsh truth.
She sighed heavily.
There was no use thinking about a ghost.
Ayato told her that Kaneki escaped safely from Cochlea. But he didn’t want to meet her as it was pointless.
Because they were no longer soulmates.
And meeting her would only bring more pain to both sides.
So he did the only thing that he was good at.
Avoiding her.
A kick in her belly broke her train of thoughts, and she smiled softly while caressing her tummy.
“Let’s read a book, okay?” She rested on the couch, reading the book Pinocchio out loud, as if to let the unborn child hear her words.
By the time she finished reading it, tiredness overcame her- she yawned and eventually drifted into a deep sleep.
The sound of her house’s doorbell woke her up, but her mind was fully awake when she felt her red string tugged her finger and formed into a straight line towards the door.
What?
She never expected her soulmate to know where she lived, but she had no other choice anyway.
“Yes, coming!” She grabbed the nearest jacket she could find, hoping it would cover her protruding belly.
As she walked towards the door, she noticed that her string was getting shorter and shorter.
Her heart raced with adrenaline, so much that she felt as if it might explode any moment.
She was going to meet him.
Her final soulmate.
Calm down, my heart.
She closed her eyes, taking a deep, calming breath to steady herself.
When she finally opened the door, her violet eyes couldn’t get any wider.
  He stood there.
The father of her child. Or, their child- to be précised.
His gaze was glued to the ground, he didn’t even look up to meet her eyes.
He couldn’t. Not after what he had done to her.
All the pain he had caused her.
Shame. Guilt. Sadness. Yearning. Love.
These emotions swirled around in his heart, causing him to keep on staring at the ground.
Trembling, his knees sank to the floor, his head hung low in shame.
“I’m sorry. I’m sorry. I’m sorry.” He muttered as many times as he could to seek forgiveness.
She didn’t say anything as she pulled him towards her, her hands gripped his hair, letting his head rested against her stomach. He pulled away immediately as he felt the huge bump.
His face turned up towards it, his jaw dropped- guilt and warmth overwhelmed him and he couldn’t stop the tears from accumulating in his eyes.
“I’m pregnant, idiot Kaneki.” She said, almost whimpering.
She pulled him up and let him into her house. However, as soon as she closed the door, her fist slammed his face hard into the floor. He would have lost consciousness if he weren’t a half-ghoul.
“Ahh. I feel much better now!” She beamed.
Kaneki was still lying on the ground when she went into the kitchen to brew some coffee for him.
When she was done, he was sitting on the couch, the injury from the earlier punch was quickly healed, and he was staring at her, hard.
“Why didn’t you tell me?” He was obviously referring to their unborn child.
“Will it make any difference?” She placed the cup onto the dining table.
“Of course.”
“See? That’s why I didn’t tell you.” She crossed her arms across her chest. “Because if I did, then you’ll just want to live for the sake of our child. I want you to be selfish for once, Kaneki. Don’t live for others. Live for yourself.”
“But I do want to live on. And, protect you. And our child of course.”
She sat beside him on the couch.
“Really? Because you looked like you wanted to die when you cut our string off.” She pouted.
“I… I’m sorry. You were right. I was planning to be the sacrificial pawn. I wanted to sacrifice my life for someone. I- I wanted to die in style.” He paused, then stared deep into her violet eyes, his grey ones filled with determination. “But that was four months ago. I- I don’t want to die anymore.”
“Why?”
“Arima-san told me that every human life is precious, and I shouldn’t waste mine.” Touka raised her eyebrow, her face frowned in irritation.
“Only human lives? Not ghouls? I should’ve known better.” She rolled her eyes, then looked away from him, and Kaneki had to turn her head towards him to comfort her.
“Touka-chan.”
“Alright, alright. I’m sorry.”
His hand took hers, his thumb running over the back of her hand tenderly.
“After escaping from Cochlea, I didn’t have the courage to meet you. We weren’t soulmates anymore, meeting you would just hurt us more.”
“Then why are you here?”
“I arrived in 16th ward last week to buy a limited edition book in the nearby bookstore, but I was surprised to see my red string appearing again. I mean, this is my fourth string. It’s impossible, no matter how I think about it. But I had a hunch that it’ll be you again.” She was staring and listening to him in full concentration that he couldn’t help but raised his right hand and caressed her left cheek lovingly. She leaned into his touch, her eyes closed momentarily.
“So I went to Re when I finally have the courage to, which is today. By the time I opened the door, I was extremely disappointed when I couldn’t see the end of my string. I thought my fourth soulmate isn’t you. So I left without even going inside. Luckily I bumped into Nishiki, he told me you’re having a few months break. So I came here just to confirm my assumption. And I was correct.”
He smiled softly at her, and she smiled back.
“I see… To be honest, I’m surprised. I was pretty sure my soulmate would be someone else. And I was… scared. What if he couldn’t accept the fact that I have a child with my previous soulmate? So I was planning to stay hidden until the baby is born, so that I won’t meet him when my tummy is this huge.” He squeezed her hand tightly, as if telling her, ‘I’m here now.’ She intertwined their fingers together in response.
All of a sudden, Kaneki’s face turned serious. He held both of her hands in his, gulped down his saliva before his grey orbs focused intently on her violet ones.
“Touka-chan, I know I’ve hurt you a lot. I’m not asking for your forgiveness because I’ve caused you so much pain that I don’t think you can ever forgive me.” He paused, inhaled and exhaled a deep breath before continuing. “But this time, can I stay? I promise, I won’t leave you ever again. I want us to be together. All three of us.” His jaw clenched so tightly, as if he couldn’t calm himself down before getting the answer from her.
“Silly Kaneki. Of course you can stay. Just, don’t break your promises ever again. It hurts a lot, I may need some time to forgive you for all the pain that you have caused me.” She bit her lip, trying her best to forget the nights she spent crying because of what he had done to her.
“I promise. Thank you, Touka-chan.”
She nodded, and he wasted no time wrapping his arms around her, holding her tightly, never wanting to let her go ever again. He pulled away slightly to plant his lips on her forehead. Slowly, he placed his left hand on her stomach.
“When is it due? The child.”
“December.” His eyes widened in realization that she went through this for months all by herself.
“I’m sorry… I wasn’t there-“
“Shh.” She silenced him by placing a finger on his lips. “It’s alright. You’re here now, that’s what matters.”
“Thank you, Touka-chan. I promise, I’ll make you happy.”
“Mm.”
He leaned down and gave her stomach a gentle kiss before capturing her lips in a slow, passionate kiss.
This time, he kept his promises.
Why Kaneki was able to have his fourth string, Touka was still unable to find the answer.
She realized that the myth was wrong as they were assigned together for three times too.
Maybe their connection was so strong, that even the fate was breaking the rules just to keep them together.
“You may now kiss the bride.”
Their lips locked in the gentlest way possible, filled with undeniable love. When they parted, he gave her a loving smile before whispering how much he loved her, and promised that he would never leave her ever again, even if he died.
She chuckled before saying ‘idiot’ then pinched his nose.
A genuine smile blooming on her face as she stared at the red string on her pinky finger which led to her soulmate, her husband, and the father of their child. Maybe we’re meant to be together, after all.
“Explain this, Cupid Arima Kishou.”
Eto threw the updated document on her desk, Arima’s eyes didn’t even follow the position of the document as he already knew the content of it.
Kaneki Ken. 23 years old. xxxo.
x – Kamishiro Rize
x – Kirishima Touka
x – Kirishima Touka
o – Kirishima Touka
“They still love each other.” He stated bluntly, his eyes betrayed nothing.
“So do other couples. Takizawa Seidou and Mado Akira loved each other too but you assigned both of them to someone else after they cut their string off. Why make an exception for this couple?”
“I-“
“You felt guilty, didn’t you?” She interrupted, smirking slightly at him.
“Yes. It was because of me that he got turned into a half ghoul. That he had been living this kind of life. He experienced nothing but suffering ever since I assigned his string to Kamishiro Rize.”
“And you love him.” She laced her fingers together, propped her elbows up on her desk, then rested her chin on her fingers.
“…Yes, I do.”
“Aw. My crush says he loves another guy. I’m jealous.”
“… I didn’t mean it that way, Eto.” She giggled at seeing his slightly annoyed expression.
“I know, I was just teasing you.”
“I love him as if he’s my own son. I know that it’s better for them to be together, so that their kid will have a complete family.”
“So you broke the rules just for him?” Eto’s face turned serious out of sudden, she was in full Grim Reaper mode now.
“Yes.”
“Are you not aware of the consequences? You didn’t break just one rule, but two. Firstly, you assigned the string to the same couple thrice. Thrice, Kishou! Secondly, you assigned the string for Kaneki Ken more than 3 times. I’m afraid the punishment will be severe for you.” Her eyes glaring in disbelief at her subordinate.
“I am aware of the consequences, and I accept it.”
Eto laid her head back against the chair, staring at the ceiling and sighed heavily.
“I turned a blind eye when you assigned his third string to Kirishima Touka… but this is too much. The higher ups will kill me if I don’t do anything to you.”
“I understand.”
“And I really liked you as a cupid too… you fulfilled my wish of Kirishima Ayato and Fueguchi Hinami to be together. Too bad I have to penalize you.”
No words came out of Arima’s mouth. He wasn’t even a talkative man to begin with.
“Then, as the rules & regulations stated, you will no longer be a human and a cupid. I will take away your privileges, and you’ll become a Grim Reaper from this point onwards. For your second punishment, as a Grim Reaper, you will be the one to take the lives of Kaneki Ken and Kirishima Touka.”
What?
He was clearly taken aback by her words, and she smirked evilly at him.
“Are you not accepting the tasks that have been assigned to you? I need to report this to the higher-ups, you know.”
A million thoughts running through his mind. He was well aware that he would be punished, but he didn’t expect it to be awfully cruel. Nonetheless, he had no other choice but to accept the fate that was assigned to him.
“…I accept. When- when will their lives end?”
“Why don’t you see it for yourself?” She opened her drawer and took out two envelopes, placing them on her desk.
He picked them up, both have Kaneki Ken and Kirishima Touka names embedded on it. He wasted no time in opening them but took his time to read the contents carefully.
Even his usual stoic expression faltered while reading the description of their deaths.
 You’re a cruel one, Eto.
Two years. They had two years left to live before their deaths approached them.
Well, at least- they’ll die together, in each other’s arms.
 -The End-
Extra:
“Do you want me to ask the higher-ups? To make Kaneki Ken and Kirishima Touka live much longer?”
Arima didn’t say anything, but by the look he had given her, she could tell that he was definitely interested.
“Don’t underestimate my position, Kishou. I will do it, but on one condition.”
Somehow, he could already guess what she wanted.
She pulled his tie towards her until their noses almost touched each other, her gaze lingered briefly on his parted lips before staring back into his eyes.
“Be my boyfriend.”
And that’s the ending of this short series for ToukenWeek! I’m sorry I love AriEto so much that I can’t help but to include them. So basically Arima was a human yet a cupid at the same time, working under Eto, a Grim Reaper who is also his superior. The envelope idea was taken from Goblin, a Korean drama series (highly recommended). It’s up to you to interpret Arima’s answer at the end of this fic. Anyways, thank you so much for reading, for the likes, the reblogs and the comments. Appreciate if I could know your final thoughts on this! Thanks ♥ kindly visit my AO3/FF.net account if you liked my writing :)

More oneshot!family headcanons pls (and if you want maybe add a scene with uncle Amon)
In continuation to this…just more oneshot!family moments…
Thank you for the ask, Anon, and thank you to everyone who have been interested in this AU and all the little silly hcs for it. This has been a much needed distraction.
[fluff]
- When Harumi is born it becomes a big deal. Everyone that Ken and Touka know want in on meeting the baby. Even Yoriko, who had thrown Touka a huge baby shower - and let me tell you, that baby shower ended up being so much fun for Ken and Touka. There was a game in which all the guys played a game of who can change a diaper the fastest on a fake baby. Ken wins and he’s very smug about it, Touka ends up falling for him even more in that moment because he’s so proud and because he’s taken the pregnancy so seriously. He keeps proving to Touka that he’s going to be the best father their baby deserves.
- So, when Harumi comes into the world, everyone is there at the hospital, ready for the first glimpse of the Kaneki baby. And to Ken’s surprise, his brother, Amon shows up at the hospital. Ken and Amon aren’t on the best of terms, but Amon pushes his pride aside to support and congratulate his little brother. It means a lot to Ken and despite their disconnection he lets Amon hold Harumi. It’s actually that moment that the both of them try to settle their differences because Harumi “should really have both her uncles in her life”.
- Eventually at one point Amon gains back his brother’s trust and Ken and Touka end up letting Amon and his girlfriend, Akira, babysit for them. Akira goes baby crazy and decides she wants to settle down with Amon, even if she’s human and he’s a ghoul. Amon is hesitant though, fearing it would never be possible for them to have a child together - Amon adamant that he doesn’t want to put Akira through that “hell”. But after a few months of going ga-ga over Harumi, Amon finally gives in, asking Akira to marry him and that’s when she reveals she’s pregnant.
- Ayato ends up really bonding with Harumi as she grows up. He’s the one who pushes her to embrace what she really is, something Touka and Ken aren’t too happy about. But Ayato learns the hard way that Harumi is still just a normal kid and not an Aogiri kid. During one of their times out and about, Ayato is provoked by a group of ghouls (4 of them) that he thinks he can easily take out and encourages a 12 year old Harumi to join in, but she’s scared and doesn’t want to fight. They attack Ayato, but also go after Harumi. Ayato is overpowered and he sees the panic in Harumi’s eyes and he’s immediately terrified at the thought of anything happening to her. But luckily Ken comes into save them. Ken is beyond livid with Ayato and leaves it to Touka to reprimand him because Ken can’t be in the same room with Ayato right now, “I’ll kill him” and he’s serious. Touka reminds Ayato that is his niece, his flesh and blood, and she’s not to be treated like she would be treated in Aogiri. “She needs protecting, just like you protected me.” And that’s what really gets to him. His father’s words. He had been an awful brother, but he would make sure to be a better uncle.
- When Harumi is this little kid, her favorite thing to do was latch onto Ken’s leg as he walked around. But she’s this tiny little thing that weighed nothing, so it was very easy for him to walk around with her on his leg without any trouble, especially at the shop. He found it comforting in way because he could always reach down to pat her head/smooth out her hair.
- For the longest time Ken was in charge of putting Harumi’s hair up in pigtails. He was terrible at it, always making them uneven, but Touka found it so endearing that she let him continue to do it. Plus Harumi pulled it off very cutely.
- Thunderstorms always scared Harumi so there were endless times when she’d jump out of bed and run into her parents room, jumping in between them. She’d latch onto her mother, but she also needed to hold her father’s finger to be completely comforted - so that often led to her grabbing his finger and pulling it to her, putting him in sometimes uncomfortable positions, but he never complained.
- Harumi, forever a daddy’s girl, always mimicked her father. Whether it was facial expressions or poses. Touka loves taking photos of Ken and Harumi. Harumi loves the camera and always eager to take pose for photos. Ken though isn’t too crazy about being in front of the camera, but Harumi gets him out of his shell. So whatever position Ken ended up with, Harumi copied. But nothing beat the superhero pose - something that always made Touka laugh because big Ken, smol Harumi.
[I mean…this could be endless…]

Hello! Now that it’s December, I remember your Christmas/birthday/New Years fic with Haise as a TA and Touka as a college student ☺️ If it’s not too much to ask, I was wondering if you have any Xmas hcs based on the current touken but in a peaceful au? Maybe Kaneki buys a ton of gifts for his baby that isn’t even born yet, and even though Touka thinks he’s going a little overboard, he convinces her to be ok with it cuz he gets toys related to rabbits 🐰 Also, he gets them rings w/ their initials
i don’t have any HCs for this scenario right now, but i love your ideas!!! 😍 like the first time kaneki comes home with wrapped objects, toukacchan thinks it’s cute…then, the next day, she’s surprised, but still thinks it’s sweet…then, the third and fourth day, she is a little like, ;;;;;;???
but she can’t quite stop him because by that point she’s probably so pregnant that she doesn’t have the energy to put up a struggle and also maybe she’s generally glowing and happy with the prospect of having a really pleasant christmas, haha. maybe kaneki carefully wraps up all the presents and for christmas the “date” they do together is touka unwrapping all of them and kaneki explaining everything he’s excited about: here’s my favorite picture book i had when i was a kid, here’s a rabbit toy, here’s a rabbit onesie, oh here’s my other favorite picture book, here’s another book i just thought looked good and there’s a rabbit in it, here’s another rabbit toy, here’s a rabbit cap that’s very fuzzy…our baby will look really cute in this, right??? and touka is trying very hard not to burst into hormonal tears and can’t stop herself and gets mad about it, hahaha.
AND I LOVE….at the end the final gift is a matching set of golden rings for the two of them……..KEN & TOUKA -SOB-
if it’s the current touken, it would be really sweet if there was also a rehash of the chateau christmas party — and maybe it would be like — the first time everyone gets together “casually” after all the wild events of recent chapters. kaneki is really nervous that the Qs won’t get along with anteikrew but everything turns out fine and everyone ends up getting permission to carefully touch touka’s belly to try and feel the kicking. maybe urie is the first one to successfully feel anything and unexpectedly he tears up a bit. ; w ;

Touken Baby AU Part 1
Okay, here’s the post I promised with my headcanons for an AU I had planned on writing years ago, but then other people started doing the same thing and I felt discouraged.
Here it goes:
Kaneki decides to fight in the Anteiku Raid, but before going he visits Touka, knowing he could die. He goes to her apartment, trying to apologize or make her understand, but Touka in a spur of the moment decision kisses him. They end up having sex, before he leaves for good.
Touka wants to go after Kaneki, but Yomo convinces her to leave. She escapes with Yomo, being hopeful that one day Kaneki would return.
Kaneki, like in canon, “dies” and is taken away by Arima.
About two months after the raid, Touka realizes she’s pregnant. Scared, she ends up confiding in Yomo, who promises he’d always be there for her. Yomo also confesses he’s actually her uncle. Touka cries because she realizes she hasn’t lost her entire family.
Touka can no longer eat meat, for she just throws it up. She decides to try human food, and although it tastes horrible, she doesn’t throw it up.
Yomo finds a small apartment so that they can settle there.
Touka grows weaker as time passes by, which worries Yomo.
When Touka is around five months, they contact Nishiki again.
Nishiki is surprised to find that his friend is pregnant, and when he notices how pale Touka looks, he decides to help her.
Nishiki researches about pregnancies, and what he knows about ghoul anatomy to help Touka. He’s not convinced the baby will make it, but creates a diet for Touka which includes both human food with nutrients as well as human meat. After her diet changes, Touka feels much better, and the baby seems to be healthy as well for it moves a lot.
Touka is also depressed because there have been no sings of Kaneki and neither Yomo nor Nishiki are confident that he’s alive. She wishes he was there for the baby. However, she finds comfort on the child growing inside of her and decides to be a good mom.
When the time comes for Touka to give birth, it’s honestly a mess. Yomo freaks out while Nishiki barks orders at him to get warm water, towels, scissors and other stuff. Meanwhile, Touka can’t do more than lay on bed. It takes almost a whole day for Touka to give birth. By the end she’s exhausted and honestly thinking that she won’t make it, when Nishiki announces he sees the head. With one final push, she gives birth to a beautiful baby girl. Touka names her after her mother, Hikari.
Hikari is almost an exact replica of Touka. She has dark hair, pale skin, and Touka’s nose. However, the eyes are Kaneki’s. Touka is happy she resembles her dad in that way.
Nishiki examines Hikari and says she’s healthy, so there’s nothing to worry about. He still keeps a careful eye on her.
The first few months, Hikari’s only food is Touka’s milk. Touka tries to keep eating human food to give Hikari the nutrients she’d need, but she can’t stomach it any longer. However, Hikari grows normally.
When she’s around five months old, they try giving her human food. They soon discover that there’s a limit with the amount of human food Hikari can consume before getting sick. She can eat human meat too.
Yomo buys Hikari a bunny plushie, which becomes her favorite toy.
At one point, Yomo asks Touka what she wishes to do now, given the fact she’s a teen mom. Touka says she wants to have her own coffee shop, similar to what Anteiku was. Yomo promises her one day they’ll have it.
Hikari keeps growing. Soon they find that even if she looks a lot like Touka, she’s much calmer than her mom. Sometimes, Hikari just sits looking pensive, even for a toddler. Touka smiles because in that sense Hikari takes after Kaneki.
Touka reads to Hikari every night before bedtime. She buys books that she thinks Kaneki would approve of for their daughter. Hikari loves books much like Kaneki.
Hikari starts speaking faster than Touka thought she would.
As Hikari grows, Touka tells her about her father even if she doesn’t understand that much. She keeps a picture of him, which she shows Hikari telling her that’s her dad. The toddler often points to it, saying “dad” and nodding as if she understands that’s her dad.
Finally, they have enough money to rent a place to open their coffee shop. They remodel it, and Touka decides to decorate it with lots of books, confident one day Kaneki will return. That’s why she names it “Re.”
When Hikari is about two years and a half, :Re opens.
Okay, since this was becoming too long, wait for part 2. It’ll feature the events of Re. Hope you liked it.

Part I  ||  Part II
Disclaimer: This fanfiction is requested by @thaislovekanetou. It was a great pleasure to write it. A continuation of this 6-part series will be posted on a separate date, but the first 3 are here. Special mention to @mamasaiko.
I might be up to a weekly prompt or one-shot Tokyo Ghoul related fanfiction depending on the schedule. There is still one slot left for this week. I hope you guys enjoy this one! :)
PREVIEW:
“Most parents would want that for their child I think, to live happily. They are a symbol of their hopes and dreams.”
Touka smiled at his answer, her own stomach feeling the butterflies at the realization that maybe, just maybe, the child would be her salvation in this otherwise tragic world. She wanted it, oh god, she wanted it so much.
It was his gift, and her hope.
I.
‘How is this even possible?’
‘Why now?’
She never expected to get pregnant while they were fighting a revolution. Touka knew what it would mean for her, given the state of the world they were living in at the moment. With ghouls at the brink of extermination, what they found was but a little solace in the base they had built in the 24th ward.
Once again, she looked at the calendar and briefly counted the days that had passed. If she had guessed it right then she was a few days after her first month. Damn it, she felt like an idiot. Of all the things she had pondered as to why she felt nauseous lately, this had to be the answer. Her hand automatically found her stomach as she closed her eyes. ‘Will it even get the chance to live?’
Did she want it to live in this world?
‘Oh god,’ she felt her heart clench at the magnitude of the words. She shook her head as her fist tightened around the pen she was holding. She didn’t know.
She stood up from where she sat and aimlessly walked out of her cell. Her thoughts were filled with the overwhelming revelation as she put one hand on her elbow. The possibility of a pregnancy born from a human and a ghoul was rare in all its forms, and yet she found herself in a predicament because it happened anyway. Immediately, she thought about Kaneki and sighed. She could imagine his shocked reaction and immediately thought – would he want this?
She was scared, so very scared.
“Onee-chan!” a boy, not older than ten, tugged her clothes, pouting.
“Yuki?” She realized she had wandered outside the cellars and looked down at the incessant boy who held onto her clothes.
“What’s wrong onee-chan? Why do you look so sad?” His eyes displayed genuine curiosity, and at the same time she was surprised by his remark.
“N-nothing,” she answered, her cheeks flushing from the realization that a brat saw right through her. “I was just thinking.”
‘Of course, the quickest escape on a child’s query.’ She smiled sheepishly.
Yet Yuki’s eyes were still as bright and inquiring as they can be, as if they saw right through her. “Did the king make you sad? I will fight him if he did!” He puffed his chest forward and put his hands in either side of his hips.
The child was so pure that Touka couldn’t help but grin at his heartwarming gesture. She bent down to ruffle Yuki’s hair. “Go back to your quarters before it gets dark, okay?”
The child nodded in response and gave her his widest smile. “If I will be a good boy, can you read us those books again?”
“Of course.” The way his face lit up at Touka’s confirmation was enough to tug her heart. She stood up and watched as Yuki scrambled back to the cellars with a huge toothy grin plastered on his face. Briefly she wondered, will her child be this pure and innocent? Untainted by the blood that was currently staining the world? Will it have the same inquisitive eyes? Will it say the same heartwarming words?
Her stomach tensed at the prospect of seeing a child that looked like Ken smiling at her with his wide, toothy grin. It still felt surreal to her and yet, it has made her heart flutter and her stomach fill with butterflies.  And so, alone with the internal conflict that was her mind, she found herself wandering again. But this time, it was as if her feet were leading her to the place her brain didn’t want to go to. Yet as she entered the cellar and took in the familiar musky scent of wood and spices, she saw a familiar face.
Ken looked up to her inquisitively, immediately sitting up to offer her some space when he saw her come into his cellar. Touka could see the bags that lay bare under his eyes, as evident from his lack of sleep. He gave her a tired smile as he scratched the back of his head, and she couldn’t help but remove the stray hair that managed to keep a part of his face hidden as she stood in front of him.
As gentle as the gesture felt, for Ken Kaneki, Touka Kirishima was strength.
And sometimes, he didn’t think there was a room for any weakness in her with how staunch and steadfast she was. Touka never showed it out in any battle – not even when they were facing death. Nor did she show it in their base where others could see. Around them, she was immovable, unable to bend or break.
But behind closed doors and the darkness that enveloped his room was a different story. It was evident on the tired smile she managed to put as soon as she saw him, or on the way her eyes looked down when she sat down and caused the bed to dip. Today, she was a knot of ill feeling that stabbed straight into his chest as he looked at her.
Her right hand came up to clench in her chest, hesitation and worry written in her face as she balled it into a fist. That was the only strength he could still find in her, etched into her grip. The rest of her looked so tired, like she would shatter if she had to survive another blow.
Ken observed her every action, desperately wanting an answer as to why she looked this sad. Yet he knew that if she wanted to open it up, she already would have. So instead he chose to wait.
He would wait until she felt better enough to open up, and yet he would be there for her until she felt better. Ken took the hand that was in balled in her chest and held it into his as he smiled. When he pulled her closer and wrapped his other hand around her arms, he hoped that it was enough to show her that he would be here for her. He asked her how her day went, because he had been too busy recently that they haven’t been able to spent much time together during the day.
Evenings were their safe haven, and darkness had become their friend. As if to distract herself, Touka answered his question in detail. She told him how she and Hinami taught the kids to write a few words, and described the joy that was painted in their faces when they managed to write. She told him how annoyed she was when she thought how one of the brats managed to hang out with Nishiki, and how Hinami tried to stop her from beating the kid’s sassy ass into a pulp.
And throughout it, he smiled as he found some semblance of peace in a time of chaos. Her words were music to his ears as Touka put her head in the nook of his neck and closed her eyes. Some of her tension dissipated at his warmth, and Ken told her about their plans to scout an area around the 24th ward for provisions.
Should I tell him? His voice felt distant and muffled to her, as she thought about the calendar that was splayed in her room.
“Hopefully I can get some supplies for the kids as well.” Ken finished, trying to validate his plans with her. Touka nodded, a sad smile was plastered on her face at the thought of another child’s face, one that was same as Ken’s. “That will make them happy.”
“I still wonder why Eto keep them in Aogiri.”
“If you were in her place, wouldn’t you?” Touka asked, looking at him curiously.
His lips were pursed into a thin line and his eyes were distant. “Eto was a pandora’s box, it was only herself who knew what she was thinking back then.”
Should I tell him? Her head is a mess as she drowned in the dilemma. Touka pulled her knees closer together as she tried to find a semblance of comfort. He would eventually know anyway, if the child manages to grow inside her. IF.
“The one-eyed owl,” she started, her voice quivering. She felt like there was sand in her throat and one of her hands once again began to wander fleetingly in her stomach, as if validating that this was all real. “How did the mother protect the baby inside her?”
Ken was taken aback by the question as he studied her face, which betrayed her curiosity and a hint of sorrow in her otherwise distant gaze. Her form felt tense and heavy today that he kept wondering what happened, worry gnawing him. With a sigh, he tried to think of Yoshimura’s tale. “Her mother,” he recalled, remembering the manager’s sad smile as he thought about his wife. It must have been difficult for him to live after her death, separated from his child. “…gave the child what it needed, that’s what the manager told me.”
“Do you think she made the right choice?” Her voice was raspy and was looking for an answer from Ken that he himself couldn’t really give. If Eto wasn’t born, then maybe all the ghouls would have been eradicated… or would it be that way? The tragedy and balance she brought was tremendous, and he couldn’t really fathom blaming it on anything after he accepted to be the one-eyed king that she and Arima had set up for him.
Also, he felt like as a mother, Ukina never really felt like it was a mistake for a child to be born. It was the fruit of their union, something that would leave their legacy.
“I think every child should be allowed to live.” He was not sure why he answered this, as he remembered his own loneliness as a child. He just felt like it was the correct choice, a choice he would have made if he was a parent. He yearned for a parent’s love after all. “Your mom,” he looked at her and smiled, remembering her story from long ago, “she sacrificed her life for you and Ayato to have a future.”
There was a hint of sadness in his voice, and his eyes were glazed – as if he were a scene that was far from where they were. His mother was his world when he was young, and despite the fact that she did not live for him, he knew that for parents like Ryouko, their child was their world.
That night, as she laid comfortably in Ken’s chest, with the latter sleeping soundly, she brought his free hand and entwined it with hers. And thus, she let her tears fall for the first time.
II.
He was at a loss when she finally revealed the cause of her distress.
At first it did not properly register in his mind, which was preoccupied with the fact that the CCG laid down a trap by using Yoriko. But Touka’s decision to reveal her pregnancy to him made it clear what her decision was.
He could only imagine how much it hurt her to decide.
She had held herself together just for him to be aware that she’d rather not have him lose what he was fighting for, just for the sake of one person who mattered a lot to her. Ken observed how she pulled her legs together to comfort herself, and how her downcast eyes shined with the sadness that radiated in her face. She wore a very sad smile, as if every word she spoke hurt.
He knew she was hurting a lot, knew that it hadn’t been easy for her to talk to him about this. And it pained him to see Touka suffering. He wished he could do something, anything, just to see her smile brightly once more.
“The child, when is it due?” The question made the situation feel more real than it already was. His heart beat loudly against his ribcage, seemingly drowning any other noise that was possibly present.
A father? Who was he kidding? He did not know anything about becoming a father!
What if it didn’t even get the chance to live?
What if he became a bad example?
What if the child grew in a world tainted in hate, would he/she grow to hate them as well?
What if he fucked up? What if? What if?
“December.” Touka responded, her voice a mixture of anxiety and longing that did not get lost to his ears. He was scared, but the thought of becoming a father was furthest in his mind at the moment. All he saw was her hope, and the anxiety that gnawed her at the thought of him rejecting it. Her actions spelled with uncertainty that even her hands were shaking. He knew she had been trying to steady herself, as she waited for his response. It pained him to see her like this.
But there was a certain melody in her voice, one that spelled faintly of hope.
He felt the melody of her words tug his heartstrings. Touka’s face betrayed many emotions, most of it sadness. She was even terrified. But if there was one thing that he saw that radiated more than that, it was this small, tiny hope that she so desperately wanted to cling onto. And he was glad he could see it.
“I see.” So this is what you have chosen.
“I… I’m glad.” He gave her a small smile, as a gesture that he would be there for her for all of this and would support her decision. He did not know what to think of the baby, nor did he think he was cut out to be a father.
But for Touka, he would. He would endure, he would make it work.
“Really?” Her face glowed with disbelief at his answer, her eyes wide. She couldn’t contain her surprise and he had to chuckle at her reaction. If he had guessed, she did not expect the conversation to turn this way.
“Yes, really.” Slowly, tentatively, he reached for her hand. A silent gesture that he was there, and that even though he was far from perfect, he would be here for her – his world.
III.
‘This was the end.’
There was a sad smile on her face as she held onto Hinami’s unconscious form. Until the very last, she wanted a miracle to happen to make sure the girl would be alright.
That they would spare her. ‘I’m sorry, Ryouko-san.’
But Touka knew it was all but a dream, the CCG wanted their annihilation after all. So instead of wishing for someone, anyone, to save them, she held onto her to shield Hinami from any more pain she could possibly endure. It was her duty as her older sister. She knew it was a futile attempt to protect anyone at this point, since in the end, death would come for them anyway. Yet there was still this part of her that wanted to hold onto dear life, or at the very least, she hoped that should she fall, someone would have gotten here to at least save Hinami.
She couldn’t even feel her body anymore. Every little movement was a struggle, every breath painful.
In the corner of her eyes, she could see the reaper’s form descending towards them. He had slow footsteps, slow and deliberate, she guessed. There was no escaping this anymore. They bathed the area red with the blood of humans, and thus, earned their retribution from the death reaper.
But in her heart of hearts, she just wanted to live and It hurt. Damn this world!
Touka wondered if all the ghouls she had lead were able to escape. She hoped they did, please. Should she die, she at least wanted their deaths to have a meaning with them surviving. Her heart clenched as she thought of Yomo, who stayed behind just to protect them. Did he survive? She hoped so, and she hope he would realize that she really tried to protect everyone. She hoped Yomo could also lead Ayato from falling from grace should he find out the news. That idiot had the tendency to lose it, so she hoped Yomo’s calm could balance his storm.
Her heart clenched at the thought of her beloved brother going home only to find it destroyed by the hatred that seeped into the very core of the world. She closed her eyes. She could hear the reaper’s footsteps getting closer and closer.
‘Would you be sad, Ayato?’ I hope he wouldn’t see this sacrifice as a way to get revenge. Please, please, please. She knew he would be anguished, knew that he wouldn’t forgive himself for failing her and Hinami. But she still held hope he would find his way and live. Just like another idiot she knew.
Oh god, Kaneki. Another idiot. Touka had many hopes for him, for them. I’m sure he would be devastated once he returned to base. Her heart constricted in pain at the thought of him. Just when she thought she could finally see a light in his otherwise empty eyes, this had to happen. She wanted to hope, pray, that once she had come to pass, Ken would still continue to trudge forward towards the path of peace. She knew the idiot would blame himself, he might even lose it.
It was painful to think about. With a sigh, she put one hand to her heart. It still beat painfully inside her chest, but soon enough that beat would cease. And it hurt to think about it.
‘I’m sorry, Kaneki. I tried.’ She didn’t want to sadden him, and yet it pained her that all his efforts led to this.
She wished that a miracle would descend and enlighten Ken, help him live forward after she was gone. She wished that all the pain and torture that he had received since he became a ghoul would be cleansed, and just like Haise Sasaki, he would be able to start over. But she hoped that this time, he would be able to come to terms with his past. If there were any gods, she hoped they could hear her final request.
A lone tear fell from her eyes at the thought of her loved ones. She wished she could have spent more time with them, wished that they all had a chance to relive what they had in Anteiku. It would have been nice, she thought, to see everyone she held dear inside the walls of her beloved coffee shop once more. She would have given everything to see their smiling faces.
She could imagine Yoriko visiting her in the shop. Would she be able to forgive her? She knew that she shouldn’t have just disappeared just to protect her. Because in doing so, she led her to a dangerous path. She wished she would be able to live, wished that her story wouldn’t end like hers.
Her body was full of scratches and injuries from the battle that transpired today. And yet she was proud that she was able to protect the one part of it she wished so much to save. Once more, the hand in her heart slowly moved towards her stomach. It was a struggle, as every movement caused her pain.
But this pain couldn’t even contend to the pain she felt when she realized who it was she failed the most. It wasn’t visible still, and yet the hope that this child brought her was immense. She was grateful as well that no one knew, for she couldn’t imagine the horror it would’ve been if they found out.
‘I’m sorry, my child. I guess mama wasn’t strong enough to last until you would have been born.’ It felt like a tragedy, but unlike the sacrifice of her mother, she wouldn’t even have a chance to save it.
‘What would have it been like?
To have hold you in my arms as you breathed the first signs of life?
To hear your cries for the first time and see your face?
‘To see your smile and laughs, to see you grow.’
She wouldn’t even be able to hold the tiny little hands or walk her child to school. She wouldn’t be able to play with it and whisper words of comfort whenever the said child fell down. Her heart clenched at the thought. It pained her, it pained her so much that all she ever wanted would be destroyed along with her.
The reaper was close now. She thought about all of her loved ones, and of a nameless child she tried so hard to bring to fruition. In her mind, she tried to reach and hold the child’s hand.
To her surprise, tiny little hands held hers. She closed her eyes.
It was time.

Thinking and Groceries
Kaneki and Touka share a moment to share some worries about their lives and if their current happiness will last. They also get a reminder of how strong their mate's truly are.
Kaneki sighed as he looked at the different types of ice cream and tried to remember what type Hide kept eating recently. Finally, he decided on grapping the cherry and the strawberry, remembering that Hide had been eating random pink things recently.
Finally deciding that he had enough things Kaneki went to check out and received a sympathetic look from the cashier, “pregnant mate?” Kaneki blinked in surprise but when he looked down at all the things he had grabbed, it looked obvious what he was stocking up for.
Naturally he had normal groceries mixed in as well but the random assortment of weird food gave away who he was shopping for, he nodded at the cahier and shuffled away awkwardly to meet up with Touka outside of the small store.
“Took you long enough.” Kaneki knew that pointing out the fact that she barely finished her shopping before him would only jeopardize his newly bought goods. “Hear anything from Yoriko?” Touka shifted, obviously anxious about her mate.
“No but I checked it right before you came out.” They had all been hanging out that day when the subject of making a cake had been brought up, though who brought it up was still up for debate, and the two omegas had silently agreed that making a cake was their new purpose in life.
Which is how the two alphas had been ushered out of the house with a list of ingredients needed, as well as some much needed groceries. Neither Touka nor Kaneki felt comfortable with leaving their respective mates despite the assurances that the store was only a quick walk away and that if anything should happen they would call for help.
Kaneki looked at the direction of his apartment and nodded, “we should get back then. I’m sure they’re fine but...” He trailed off yet his statement didn’t need to be finished for his companion knew the feeling well.
Instead of replying Touka started the trek back and after a few moments of silence Kaneki couldn’t help but say something that had been weighing on him. “Does it ever seem too good to be real?” Touka’s step faltered at the question and she stared at the ground before replying, “you mean do I ever go to sleep and feel that when I wake up this will all have been a dream? Or that this peace that we have now will somehow be ruined? Or that something will happen to Yoriko and I’ll be powerless to help her?”
Touka had picked up the pace and Kaneki was forced to pick his up in order to catch up, “yeah I get that feeling, I get it every time I look at her smile and hear her laugh. I’m going to guess you’re having a lot of those moments as well.”
It wasn’t a guess, more of a statement and all Kaneki could do was nod. “I keep trying to think about what the worst thing that could happen to Hide would be and how I could prevent it. The doctor says he and the baby are healthy but what if one day they’re not? I don’t know how I would cope if suddenly he wasn’t here anymore, and it would be my fault.”
Touka looked at the ground before shifting her bags around and giving Kaneki a good slap on the back, “there's no time for that kind of thinking! Think about, I don’t know, baby names or some shit.” Kaneki tried not to wince at the hard blow, though her words did have the intended effect and a small smile formed on his face.
“You know we actually thought of a few good names, I mean it’s up to Hide which to go with but I think he’s leaning towards- “ He was cut off by Touka grabbing his arm and pointing at the window of his apartment, and at seeing the curtain billowing in the breeze his blood ran cold.
Kaneki clearly remembered that the window had been closed when he left and for it to be open on a colder day like it was, meant only one thing. Someone had entered the house, most likely from the moment the two ghouls were far enough away.
He vaguely recognized that Touka was sprinting ahead of him but he wasn’t far behind her, soon they were in the bathroom were the intruders had entered. He could hear faint chatter from a few rooms away but couldn’t seem to come up with the will to move, there were only two ways that it could have played out and if the world had taught him anything it was that life was cruel after it had been kind.
Hide would logically be too big to put up a real fight and while Yoriko was determined to learn, her fighting skills were still at a beginner’s level from what Kaneki had seen. That combined with the fact that with her current teacher currently on maternity leave would mean that she hadn’t sparred in almost seven months.
Kaneki didn’t see how there would be an end that didn’t result in his mate either being held hostage to be used as a bargaining chip or something far worse. Based on how still Touka had become she had come to the same conclusion that he had, after swallowing the lump lodged in his throat before something akin to fury rose through him at the thought of someone harming his beloved.
Slamming open the door he marched to the source of the noise they had heard earlier and after kicking down the door was prepared to start ripping someone apart. What he was not prepared for was the three corpses lined up next to the fridge with his mate and Yoriko having what seemed to be lighthearted conversation.
They had stopped immediately when Kaneki had entered the room and Yoriko had sprung up, knife ready to take care of any stragglers that had come to meet the first group. Hide however merely smiled at his mate and wrote a quick note, 'Yo, welcome home'.
At seeing who it was Yoriko sheepishly put the knife away and waved at Touka, “hey sweetie, we had a bit of trouble earlier but we took care of them. Wait where are the groceries?”

Tokyo Ghoul:re Chapter 129 Review
youtube
If this is the beginning of a domino effect for someone who I think it may be for, I want out. The chapter surprisingly doesn't go over the discovery of the city in the far below underground of the 24th Ward. Instead, it treats us with a twist that once again, Ishida pulled a clever nod to small details, a cruel action that surely is the beginning, and the overall effect that sends a bad signal for what's to come.
The segment about Ayato discovering the city lasted pretty short, which is surprising because I was ready for a lot of new exploration and lore expansion. Instead, it leaves one trace of something to speculate. It appears that there's a human's presence; that only raises a question if there's been a human alive walking there or just a corpse being dragged. Is that how they get their food?
The sacred bag that Touka was carrying is actually revealed in this chapter. It turns out to be a delicious hamburger, made by Soma. Well I don't know who really made it but that was a big indication of her condition and from that moment, I already got the idea. Even so, it was handled pretty well for the story that was conveying and it may be not as great as you probably wish to think.
This chapter perhaps has one main objective to accomplish and if I guess it right many times before, this got me in deep pressure. For starter, Ishida seems to begin a domino effect, starting with Takeomi being called by Furuta. The buildup is a small enticing moment, because there's a bigger purpose to this. When Furuta recite the article of CCG and Takeomi clarifies what it is, I got that bone chilling feeling that it's going to get bad really fast.
The article is on the concern of a human who affiliated with a Ghoul; you can already see where this is going. It stops before the interrogation room as it segues to the theory that has been solved: Kou is a spy. I am amazed that not only I and others called it due to hints, but it actually go far back to the older chapters. If you recall correctly, there was an orphan kid that Amon stumbled upon, and he ran off to continue his duty. That kid is Kou. It even reads his real name, Hajime. The small detail and the use of every characters presented is astounding.
It's also a good thing that it doesn't hold up the reveal for long, which could mean there's going to be more to Kou later on. Shuu caught on quickly that he was a spy, and that ensues for action. The fact that Kou can unlock Frame B could mean that Oggai in general can do so as well. In short, they're more of ghouls than human. 0 Squad stops him on time. Judging by their conversation, there could be more to them later on, like a backstory of some sort.
The real kicker is the letter scene. I have bad experience with the letter scene in other series, so I don't need another. Unfortunately, the letter is nothing but bad news with eerie foreshadowing. I had a discussion with my friend about who sent Kou as a spy, and I name dropped Mutsuki because of her connection to Oggai and desire to find Kaneki. I was right on the money. I just wish I didn't have to see what transpired this letter from.
The beginning of the chapter is well connected to this scene as it was presenting something that gave me a bad vibe in all fronts. It begins with what is going on and it ends with a why. Mutsuki is in the interrogation room with Yoriko, and yes, that means Yoriko is under arrest and in deep trouble. I thought Mutsuki gave her a mercy by not doing anything about her connection to Touka, but I was wrong. If anything, this is worse because Takeomi and Yoriko got married, only to be brought down by Mutsuki as she laughs at it. That's pretty low.
To make matter worse, she has the gall to leave the incident report, so Touka can believe her story. There are no more lies, it's really happening. The idea is to reconnect with Kaneki, acting like she wants to be her comrade. After all, she loves him so dearly. The scary part is we don't know if she is working with Furuta or not. She claims that she is doing a taboo action by sending a letter to the enemy, and while that is true, does Furuta know? Is she getting a lot of free pass? Need I remind you that she's a good liar, ever since the moment she brought a prop hand. Majority of us got fooled, so who to say she is doing this alone?
I have no comforting feeling from all of this, even when Kaneki burns the letter. It can go many ways and maybe he's asking for a trap that he doesn't even know it's implanted. I know Kou was going to breach data and that could have gone Deep South super quick. However, Pierrot knows the location, so Kaneki may be unaware of their possible ambush. Kou staying alive and hostage are begging for a backlash. This setup is too good on the bad scale.
To top it all off, the end scene elaborates that Touka is eating a human food because she is confirmed to be pregnant. I feel like that guy from the movie The Fly, where he heard the news about the woman being pregnant. It sounds like good news, but the thought of the father being the fly kills your mood quickly. That's my stance at this time and it freaking sucks. I want to be happy for Kaneki and Touka, ever since chapter 125, but I can't because of the eerie foreshadow, the eerie metaphors, and the past experiences that prevent me to be happy for them.
The presentation sends a bad foreshadowing that seriously either asking for Touka to suffer as bad as Kaneki in part 1 or her death bed. The more I think about it, that chapter 122 cover is really a bad hint. Going back to this chapter, it structured the way that you can grasp that this arc could be Touka's suffering.
Her best friend is officially captured by CCG, she's pregnant at a worst possible time, and the fact Mutsuki did all of this only asking for the worst possible outcome for Touka. I don't know if Kaneki will tell Touka about Yoriko, but one way or another, it's going to raise her chance for mental breakdown higher. I think her lack of reaction motivated Mutsuki to go all the way to break her down, because she too had that moment.
The chapter is more building up to something that we all may be afraid of, especially since Touka is still getting focus here. It is shaping this arc to be more personal and more intense than anything before. Kaneki not accepting Mutsuki's invitation could lead to something worse than he does join. There are a lot of possibilities, but only a few can happen. If I guessed it right about Kou, for the love of God, let me be absolute wrong about Touka.

OMG I’m so sorry for this late reply, now you probably won’t see this until you get back ;-; I hope you have a great time, though! :D
(I’m also away from home right now- at Jeju island! The view is so beautiful <3)
And ok, ok: Remember our Saiko/Urie ship that NEEDS to somehow overpower Mutsuki/Urie? I just remembered one of the reasons I started shipping it in the first place…there was an omake where Saiko’s jokingly asking the Qs to state her ‘good points’ (this is after Shirazu’s death and I think Mutsuki was either with Torso or on their own during this period so it’s basically Saiko, Urie, and the new Qs (Hsiao, Higemaru, Aura)). Hsiao surprises everyone by commenting that Saiko is unexpectedly sexy and cute. Higemaru tells her that’s gross, which makes Saiko pouty…she then sees Urie passing by and asks him “What about you, squad leader?”
Urie just smiles this really gentle, warm smile and
“Yonebayashi’s good point…on days like today, when my work has left me exhausted, whenever I look at you I feel relieved.”
(And Saiko smiles back and she’s blushing omg)
And new chapter of TG Re and Touken just keeps getting more and more ‘WTH’. Touka just told Ken she’s pregnant? And Ken’s freaking out a bit, but guess why? Because to him, Touka’s casual attitude means that she’s given up on trying to rescue Yoriko despite the fact that she’s found out what’s happened to her (Touka’s choosing her child over her friend). I think he's hurt that Touka has been forced to make that choice.
But why is he not thinking about his mom. Or Akira. Or Arima. Or the Qs. Why is he not having traumatic flashbacks. I mean, not only has Kaneki never had a 100% healthy relationship with a parental figure, he’s never been a good parent figure himself either (admittedly he’s only ever been one to the Qs but look what he did to them). Why is the Yoriko situation the only thing he’s worried about? Why is he so cool about the kid? I feel like he should be super insecure and terrified and maybe not even want a child…is that just me?
(Also wow, Ken truly is the next Arima. Re is going to be a tragedy after all, isn’t it)
I lowkey shipped Tatara/Eto…then of course Tatara just had to go and die and Eto disappeared. Typical TG ship. As for Eto/Noro, the fandom would bash that kid so hard for being op XD (but wouldn’t it also be a bit creepy? Noro seems to have been the one who raised Eto and he must have been around Yoshimura’s age…though admittedly I’d ship that too if the whole backstory about Yoshimura giving baby Eto to Noro suddenly disappeared. The height difference is cute ok)
Running Titans are like me running from my problems. For another hilarious manga thing, have you ever read that one omake Ishida drew about the time he went to Tokyo for a party and ended up at the hospital? It just proves that Ishida is the King.
Omg? That’s actually pretty cool XD
And tysm. Seriously, it’s not just the OCs, I talk too much about everything and you always listen and answer so really, thank you.
Looking forward to our next convo :D <3
P.S:
Idk how this happened but I’ve started shipping both Tatsuo and Naomi with Shuu. Like, either Tatso and Shuu are a thing, or Tatsuo is totally not in love (MAGNIFICENT BASTARDS DO NOT HAVE HEARTS OK) so he matchmakes Shuu and Naomi to make his baby sister happy (and he is so not dying on the inside everytime he sees them together. He finally did something right for his sister but  w o w does it hurt seeing Shuu look at her like that). Or they’re an OT3.
I’m sorry this is so weird. I even have headcanons for all the ships OTL what is happening XD
Think I forgot to add this but ALSO:
I’ve started Fullmetal Alchemist! :D I was planning to never actually watch or read it because I hate the process of getting into new fandoms (like, I have so much to read and watch already, do I really need another one??? That was what I told myself with YoI but then everyone was talking about it and I just couldn’t resist) but then. One of my favorite reaction channels reacts to FMAB…and after they stopped reacting to animes I know for a while, I got bored and decided to try the FMA reactions. Why not?
“I mean, it’s not really my thing and the characters don’t seem like the type I’d enjoy (Ed seems like a typical shounen protagonist and I’m probably going to dislike him), but hey, it should be good enough, right?”
12 Episode Reactions Later:
Edward Elric you are my new favorite person
Alphonse you adorable bby you remind me of my own little sister and that makes me cry
Didn’t expect to like Winry but she’s actually pretty cool
Everytime Lust appears ‘I’m too hot- HOT DAMN’ from Uptown Funk keeps playing on repeat in my head, she makes me helpless
Lowkey ‘crushing’(not quite the right word but hey) on Scar. You ship with sweethearts like Shuu then I go and swoon over wanted criminals
And finally, Hughes…I knew you were going to die because I heard a lot about FMA on tumblr and your death scene is legendary in the anime/manga world. But can I just say.
WhY diD YoU haVe tO SaY gOoDbyE
(And as for Nina, I also knew what was going to happen to her but just…let’s ignore that. Yeah.)
The channel didn’t have reactions for all the episodes though, and besides, it’s hard to hear the actual lines over the reactions sometimes, so I’m currently reading the manga from where I left off with the anime :) I’m only in the middle of volume 5 so far but it’s great!
Congratulations! After suffering from Hamilton, TG Re and the MCU, you have finally managed to drag me into a fandom!
(It’s just one success though >:^) and I’m busy thinking of a new fandom for my revenge…fear me)
FMA UPDATE: Scar is no longer my only problematic crush/fav. There’s also Greed. Not Greedling (I only just read through the real Ling’s first appearances, I’ve never seen Greedling in action before and I only know a few minor things about him), the original Greed, the guy with the cool sunglasses.
I’m sorry Queen Luna, you shipped me with a perfect pure cinnamon roll and this happens OTL
I’m really, REALLY sorry for spamming you now but hey, actually starting looking up FMA on tumblr and OOPS I’m stupid as heck OTL Why did I think Daddy Elric and Father were the same person omg (probably a mixture of similar character designs and fake spoilers I read long before I read the manga lololol)
*Waltzes into the room*
sO WHaT’d i mIsS??
Not much, apparently hahah Just Evans getting into a new fandom and coming to hunt me down. The usual, basically.
OK BUT BEFORE I PROPERLY REPLy, I JUST HAVE TO TELL YOU ABOUT MY LAST TWO WEEKs, BECAUSE THEY WERE A MIX OF HELL ON EARTH AND HEAVEN ON EARTh, LIKE DAMN
Kkkkk, so firstly a bit about the systematics of the camp (I can already tell you I’ll start ranting, sorry ^^;;;). There are 3 separate programs, Resident Cam, Teen Adventure and Teen Sailing. Resident is when you stay in the camp the whole 2 weeks and have 5 activities per day that you choose yourself. You also do other amusing stuff, mostly in the evenings.  Adventure is when you go around Croatia and experience random adventures, like paintball, rock climbing, bridge jumping and so on. Sailing is when you spend 1 week in the resident camp, and you spend the whole week learning how to sail smaller boats and when that weeks is over, you board sailboats and sail around costal Croatia for a week.
I did Resident 3 times, Adventure 2 times and Sailing Once (this year). It was also my last year in the camp, since you can go there as long as you’re younger than 18. Next year, I’ll be 18.
Aaaanywho, the reason why I consider it hell on earth is because it was FULL of rich snobs and I was dying. There was this one girl in particular who seemed to hate me for absolute no reason and she was such a huge bitch. She also reeeeaally liked having the undivided attention of boys on her and would do some quite drastic things to achieve that. For example, sitting so that her elbows were pushing her bewbs up, or randomly yelling, in english ‘Oh no, my bra unclipped!!’ even tho she had friends from her country who would’ve understood her had she said it in her language.
OTHER THAN THAT, I saw dolphins and sea horses!! IT was so cute *^*
OHOHO and at one point, we went bridge jumping. And there were some guys hanging from hammocks from the bridge. I saw them, but didn’t think much of it. And then one of them got up to actually jump. My brain ‘AND I WAS LIKE DAMN BITCH YOU FINE’.
One of the most attractive guys I have seen in my entire life. Pretty much everything I (physically like). Slightly longish hair kept in a bun. Blonde. Blue eyes. Tall, but not a giant. Muscular. And as if that didn’t have me drooling, once they were done, he. Put. On. Glasses.  CALL THE POLICE AND THE FIREMAN.
Seriously, literally helpless.  ‘Then you walked in and my heart went boom’.
Now onto the actual reply ^^;;;;
WHAT WHEN DID THAT HAPPEN I DEMAND LINKS I NEED IT HNNNNNNNGH Ishida is pure evil. Like, he gives us that, but doesn’t make it canon??? TOUKEN IS CANON AND IT HAD AS MUCH INTERACTION AS A SEA URCHIN HAS WITH AN EAGLE OR SOMETHING.
The internet here is sucky so I haven’t caught up with everything yet =3= Soon, hopefully.
But that does seem very OOC for Kaneki :/ Is it just me, or did everything start going downhill when Touken appeared? If someone told me ‘kaneki finds out Touka is pregnant, guess his reaction’, my answer would be ‘hysterics, screaming, old traumas surfacing, potential thought of the Qs, deFINITELY NOT CALM’.
If we ever doubted Re wouldn’t be a tragedy, we were truly naive.
Tatsuo, Shuu and Naomi are the definition of Satisfied if that happens. I know my sister like I know my own mind You will never find anyone as trusting or as kind If I tell her that I love him she’d be silently resigned He’d be mine She would say, “I’m fine” She’d be lying.
Dude, if you thought FMA would be ‘just another anime’, you were NAIVE!!  It’s actually the first anime I’ve ever watched (or second, depending on whether you count ATLA as anime) and it’ll always be on my top ‘to recommend’ list, because it’s an actual masterpiece. Edward is just so cute, I want to hug him, especially before his growth spurt.  Al is the purest cinnamon roll, he deserves protection.  Shoulda known you’d go with Scar... I must say, though, Greedling and Mustang are the top for me.  Well, for FMA it really doesn’t matter a single bit if you read the manga or watch the anime. I mean, the manga is a tad bit better, because you understand some references, like Yoki’s backstory, but you can also know it from watching the older, original FMA anime.
Idk, I don’t like Greed all that much. Didn't have enough time to develop, and Greedling is a tad better imo ^^;;
Naaah, don’t worry about spamming me! I was really happy to come back to so many messages from you ^^

You must have infinite regeneration powers :D So cool. And WELCOME BACK! <3333 I’m glad to hear you had fun in Japan!  and awww, I’m sorry to hear that school’s giving you a hard time (again)! :( *hugs*
For me, I am/was a homeschooler and I just finished the required exam to be considered a high school graduate so I’m basically done with studying for now….
Are they? *blinks innocently* I wasn’t aware!
(If you’re talking about Agni
“WHY DO YOU HAVE TO SAY GOODBYE”
“If I say goodbye, the plot will learn to move on…it outlives me when I’m gone”)
If Isayama actually manages to save the plot with a big revelation about how everything is (once again) connected I’ll be fine, but I really do think it would have been best to leave the worldbuilding at the whole Marleyan/Eldian thing. Personally, I feel like that was just the right amount of complicated to make readers go ‘ooooh so THAT’S what was going on all along I can’t believe I didn’t think of that’. It would have been nice to get some answers and maybe some more character development for the TItan Trio and Zeke instead of all the confusion going on right now (though I do have to admit that I like the new characters. And Reiner’s flashback to his days as a soldier in the recent chapter hurt my feels really badly).
OMG you’re actually going to do it Luna-senpai I bow down to you
I’m not even sure what to say so thank you??? So much???
True, I was thinking that as well since the anime kinda misses out on a lot of stuff and therefore has less usable scenes. And here, my evil side is showing again: ‘Let’s go home’ could definitely fit with ‘it take and it takes and it takes’ but, how about with 'If there’s a reason I’m still alive when so many have died’?
Feel free to make a shorter version or something if it’s stressing you out too much, though! And of course, I’m always happy to talk about this/help find the right panels! :D
To be a bit more clear, Rize isn’t actually pregnant so that’s something (do you think she would have ALLOWED herself to be impregnated if she could help it?). Her kakuhou’s just kinda being used again to create a new, more powerful generation of mini-quinx that are basically the new Kaneki Kens. Yeah. And Furuta refers to them as her 'children’
Here, I’ll explain that if you want:
Remember how we talked about Mutsuki being decidedly not-fine? Well, they completely snapped in recent chapters. It’s been revealed that they had a romantic interest in Sasaki (understandable, since he was the first person who was ever genuinely kind to them) and was extremely jealous/hurt by his behavior when he first met Touka at Re(the cafe). Though they were able to keep their feeilngs in check, after Torso’s torture things got worse and after Sasaki/Kaneki just up and left, Mutsuki kind of went yandere.
There’s a scene with them repeatedly stabbing someone disguised as Sasaki while declaring 'won’t kill, won’t kill, he’s mine’. Then they tell Aura (one of the new members of the Q squad who is bent on murdering Kaneki as revenge for his aunt, who ended up badly injured when Kaneki and his friends broke out of Cochlea)- “Let’s kill him together.” I suppose they resent Kaneki for leaving?
And you know, Kaneki’s group GOAT is all over the news now…Mutsuki finally got a clue where he is.
That 'sensei’ scene is trouble for both Kaneki and Touka.
In case you don’t remember, Takeomi and Yoriko got engaged, right? And Yoriko asked Takeomi to help her find a friend of hers (Touka) who disappeared years ago during the Anteiku raid. In a recent chapter, Takeomi ran into Mutsuki while holding the only picture of Touka Yoriko had and Mutsuki asked for the picture, claiming that they knew this person.
So. Well. Mutsuki’s probably going to go beserk if they get their hands on Touka. And they’ve already got their hands on Kaneki.
I kinda want to scream right now.
As for the 'virgin’ scene, Touken is now officially a thing! That question is followed by Touka and Kaneki finally talking about their feelings like sensible people instead of raging and angsting at each other, and then Touka’s like “When the time is right, I’ll let you do it with me.” 0////0
I’m not really sure how to feel about this though. I always thought Touken was going to become canon so I’m not surprised, but I kinda wish it didn’t in a way as well? Though I see how it works I’m not overly fond of it because it’s a really, really cliche formula in anime and manga: tough girl who becomes softer through her affection for main guy, tough girl whose character development is directly linked to main guy in a way that makes her more emotional and more traditionally feminine. The most 'popular’ examples of this could be the Winry/Ed dynamic from FMA and the Eren/Mikasa relationship from AoT and they’re not the only ones; this is just a really popular trope in shounen manga. Admittedly Winry/Ed seems to be a well-done version of it from what I’ve seen, while Mikasa/Eren puts some interesting twists on it and Touken is a more realistic portrayal, but it’s still a cliche that I get tired of seeing.
I also feel like Touken could have done with a bit more development in recent chapters. They’ve been apart for so long and haven’t had that many significant interactions until this whole 'are you a virgin’ convo (which was feelsy and good but a little more buildup would have been nice).
Whatever, I’m still going to be mad if Mutsuki manages to hurt Touka.
Whoops, almost spoiled something again! Not gonna do it, though.  Well, the next few weeks will be pretty good, so I’m happy about that! And I’m not sure if I wrote this in the last message (but I’m too lazy to go and check), so I’m gonna (potentially) write it again: The perfect way to describe me during the flight back is using a line from ‘Farmer Refuted’. If you repeat yourself again, I’m gonna scream. Only without the If you repeat yourself again part. It. Was. Horrible. And shaky.
Oh, that’s pretty interesting! And yeah, you did mention being quite the genius. You’re like Hiro from Big Hero 6 hahah
... Sure you weren’t aware.
Oh yeah, it’s about Agni. Why couldn’t plot armour save him????  HNNNNNNNGH
Well, at this point I’m too confused with the manga to like anything. He should’ve left it at the basic plot and not evolve it into the mess of plots it is now. (Fun fact: this was originally worded a lot more harshly) I think he’s slowly losing readers by doing this. If they don’t quite understand what’s going on anymore, they give up. How do I know? CAUSE I’M ONE OF THOSE PEOPLE DAMMIT Like I said, Armin is what keeps me going.
I think I’m gonna try to make a shorter version of the song, but I’m not sure how it’ll turn out. I also have 0 idea how long it’ll take (but it’ll be a while before it’s done)).  Ah, that’s a good idea for the lets go home scene! Well, either that or ‘I’m afraid I wouldn’t remember their names’
Oh good, she isn’t pregnant. I was scared ;-; BUT THE OTHER OPTION ISNT MUCH BETTER; IS IT NOW Well, sure, Rize wouldn’t allow herself that, but if she’s starving/drugged, then I guess... THIS IS GETTING TOO DARK
You want to scream and I’m going to scream.  Just. I give up. No.  Why.
Oh, Touken is canon? Cool! I can’t say I ship it, but it’s really nice something became canon. But did Touka seriously doubt Kaneki being a virgin? Kaneki, the biggest nerd on the entire planet? Oh yeah, he’s totally a fuckboy, there isn’t a girl in town who hasn’t slept with him, pffft
Well, I guess cliches are nice every once in a while ^^
As for Boku no Hero Academia... I’ve binged the manga and it turns out it does get very, very dark. Not AoT or TG level dark (what kind of monster would do that?), but quite dark, so you might enjoy it ^^

Shattered (Chapter 3)
Smutty Ayahina College AU
Summary: Hinami tries to deal with her sorrows through seeking Ayato out. Ayato can never turn away the girl he loves far more than he should. Two people with unrequited feelings, dealing with them in very different ways. Human AU. (10.2k words)
Warning: This fic contains unhealthy copic mechanisms, heavy sexual content, and plenty of problematic/ dubious things which I absolutely do not condone at all. This is a work of fiction that takes on a more mature, physical take on Ayahina’s relationship as opposed to the typical conventional one. Please feel free not to read this fic if it’s not your cup of tea!
A/N: Touken’s introduction! Touka and Kaneki are very important characters in this fic and they will begin to play a huge role from here onwards in helping Ayato and Hinami’s relationship develop as well. This is the longest chapter in the fic. I contemplated cutting this into two, but it will be awkward because everything flows together and I want everything to be laid out at once. I wanna really thank my mutuals for always reading the excerpts I send them and commenting on them. I feel so insecure about this fic all the time and it’s so good to receive support. And all of you who read it and leave comments make me very happy as well!  Please do reblog this and feel free to leave some comments!
Chapter 1 | Chapter 2 | Chapter 3 | Chapter 3.5 | Chapter 4
Preview:
“Aya...to?” Touka’s voice is soft, faltering as the name slides off her lips. She pushes past Hinami roughly, a surprising turn to the gentle impression Hinami had of her, and rushes towards him. Hinami sees his body stiffen, shivering as he took a step back.
“Sis…” he murmured.
“Where… the fuck have you been?” Touka cries out, reaching forward to grab him by his collar. “I’ve been so worried. You don’t answer my calls or reply my messages. I know you received them-- you fucking have your receipts on. You don’t even come back to visit.”
Ayato grits his teeth, his brows furrowing, as he tries to push her off him. “Let me go, you stupid sister!”
“I’m not letting you go!” Touka yells back. “You’re coming home. Right now.”
“I don’t want to. That’s not my home!”
Hinami feels the impact of his words even though they’re not directed at her. Ayato is never mean and rough with her, but right now, he looks like he’s on the verge of slamming his sister into the wall beside them. But his sister stiffens at his words, her grip on him loosening as her hands fall to her side. Hinami sees a small tremble pass through her.
“What… do you mean it’s not your home? It’s always--”
“It’s never been my home, not ever since Mom died!” Ayato hisses. “Dad didn’t give two fucks about me after that anyway!”
“No… No, Father--”
“Shut up,” Ayato snaps instead, cutting into her words. “You chose this, Touka. You chose him over me.”
“Why does there even have to be a choice?” Touka almost screams. “You’re my brother, he’s my husband!”
“You broke our promise!”
“We need to move on. We can’t keep holding on to our past!” Hinami hears the tears in Touka’s voice even if she’s not watching her cry. She tries to get Ayato’s attention. His sister is pregnant. It isn’t good to worry her too much. But Ayato doesn’t seem to notice and he continues staring at her with that haughty, hateful look that Hinami’s never even seen on his face before.
“Move on without me then,” Ayato scoffs.
“Why are you like this?” Touka murmurs. “Why are you being so difficult? You’re not a kid anymore.”
“I know. So leave me the fuck alone,” Ayato snarls. He turns around but Touka reaches for him again, grabbing his arm.
“What are you doing now? Where are you? Are you still in school?”
“Yeah…”
“Don’t drop out or anything… Work hard…”
“I know that.”
“What about money?”
“I’ll manage… I’ve been managing.”
“Come home. I have all the money you need,” Touka whispers.
“I don’t need your money. I don’t need his money,” Ayato hisses back, prying his sister’s hands off him.
Hinami watches the scene partly in awe and partly in worry. She doesn’t understand how two siblings can be so estranged. They’re siblings-- they have the same blood, they grew up together and they’re family. How can they be so far apart right now?
Stop it, Ayato. It’s cruel. This is too cruel. She’s pregnant-- don’t be too rough with her; don’t stress her out.
“I’m not letting you go again!” Touka cries out again, fingers digging into Ayato’s arms even more. Hinami sees the flash in his eyes and she’s rushing at him even before she can think. Time seems to slow down and everything she sees, she sees in slow motion. But even she moves in that speed and Ayato pushes Touka off him before she can reach them. Hinami’s left agasp as Touka stumbles back, the wave of horror that washes over her clearly evident on her face. She falls to the ground and her hand immediately flies to her tummy, eyes wide and almost tearing. Hinami hears a choked gasp from behind her, but she really can’t care too much about it, her attention entirely on Touka right now.
Her fingers grip the cup she’s holding tighter, bringing it closer to her mouth. Despite the cover over it, the scent of her latte wafts out from the small hole on it. She pulls back immediately after feeling the heat radiating out of it though; It’s too hot to drink, even if the weather is cold enough to have her shivering under multiple layers.
Hinami looks into the store again. Despite the crowd, it’s easy for her to locate him. He’s standing at the corner, holding a couple of cans and packages. He doesn’t seem to even bother about hiding his annoyance. With narrowed eyes and a blatant scowl, he taps his feet repeatedly as he burns holes into the heads of those in the queue with his eyes.
Hinami giggles a little. He had asked her to come along with him, but the sight of the crowd in the store changed her mind and she had opted to stand outside instead. It’s cold, but Hinami doesn’t really mind it. She loves the winter. She watches the flakes fall lazily from the sky, reaching her hand out at them once even. She sees people walking to and fro, most of them clinging onto each other, huddling for warmth and comfort. Everyone seems happy and it makes her happy being able to watch them as well. It probably has something to do with the fact that Christmas is coming soon anyway. The spirit is starting to awaken.
Hinami wonders how she’s going to spend her Christmas that year. She wonders if Ayato might want to do something. It’s a thing to spend Christmas together with a special someone, but are they even at that stage? She’s had so much fantasies of spending Christmas with him before, mostly the wishful dreams of a young maiden in love. Everything about her dreams seems mystical-- the typical romantic cliches one can easily find in every other romance novel they pick out from the library. She knows she can’t expect any of those things from Ayato. He’s more likely to order pizza for a movie date rather than take her out to eat shortcakes.
She brings the cup to her mouth and takes a sip. It’s still hot, but it’s cold enough for her to drink it without burning her tongue. Her eyes move over to Ayato again. Expecting him to still be focused on the never-moving queue, Hinami jolts a little at the surprise when her eyes meet his. He’s watching… Her cheeks heat up a little as she meets his gaze, her lips spreading into a smile. Their eyes remain locked on each other and despite the slightly tinted glass between them, his eyes shine as bright as ever, gleaming a little mischievously as a smirk tugs on his lips.
“Hinami?”
She blinks, whipping her head to the source of the voice, tearing her eyes away from Ayato. A short distance down, right outside the next store, she sees him.
He looks at her, eyes widening at the sight before a smile starts to form on his lips. Hinami’s heart races and she hears a soft whimper slip out of her mouth as he starts to head towards her. For a moment, all she sees is his pair of beautiful ashen eyes, peeking out under his snowy bangs. His slightly plump lips part as he says her name, a small cloud of his breath gushing out of his mouth.
She stands in a daze, before she notices something else. In his arms, she sees a girl, probably around the age of two or three. Almost a splitting image of him, the girl has his eyes and face-- that little pointed nose, the same fleshy lips.
“Hinami, it’s you, isn’t it?” he says with an happy smile. “It’s been so long! Are you doing well?”
She smiles back, doing the one thing she can ever do around him. “I’m fine, Big Brother. How have you been?” Her mouth itches to ask about that girl in his hands and the beautiful woman she had seen a long time ago.
“I’ve been doing well,” he says. His head turns to the mini-him, a brighter smile blooming on his face. “I don’t think you’ve met this one here. This is Ichika.”
“Ichika?”
“Yeah! My daughter! Pretty name, right? I picked it. My wife’s Japanese is pretty useless so I had to come up with it myself,” Kaneki laughs, but Hinami wants to scowl. How cruel is it to be the only one picking a name? Hinami would never do that him. Japanese is one of her better subjects-- she’d be able to help him.
Wife… Wife… Her mind chants the word repeatedly. She had already known they were married, but here he is, admitting it outright to her. She’s breaking again. She’s right back at that spot, watching him with the woman again, ears ringing with his words from then again and falling apart again.
“Ken!”
Another voice sounds out again, yelling his name out and Hinami chokes. She’s could never bring herself to ever say his name, but right now, it’s being hurled at her. Kaneki Ken. Kaneki Ken… She takes a deep breath, and then another, hands tightening around the paper cup in her hands.
He turns around at the sound of the voice and while watching his profile, she sees his smile get wider and brighter than ever. Standing a short distance away is a young woman, with fluffy light blue hair falling to shield half of her face, walking over to them with a slight scowl and puffed out cheeks. Hinami’s eyes scans her entire frame, lingering on the slight bump of her navel. It had gotten bigger from back then, Hinami noted.
“Ken! Why’d you run off?” she complains as she stops in front of him, crossing her arms. “The store didn’t have the right one we’re going to have to get some from someplace else…”
Kaneki doesn’t say anything immediately, except for winding his free arm around her to pull her close to him and spin them to face Hinami. He smiles again; his smile seems to be a permanent thing now-- permanent and unwavering. “My family,” he says and she’s never heard him sound so proud of something before.
The man who’s never had a taste of happiness, is now drowning in it.
“H-How cruel… Big Brother… You never told me you got married.” She has to feign happiness even if all she wants to do is cry. She forces out a smile and shakes her head.
“Yeah… It was a mini wedding. I only invited Hide…” Kaneki says.
“Oh…” She likes to think she’s important, but she knows she isn’t. She shouldn’t be too upset. Hide had been Kaneki’s best friend back when they were very young, even before Hinami probably existed in this world, or even if she did, she was probably as old as Kaneki’s child. Kaneki hadn’t thought to invite Tsukiyama or Nishio, two other very close associates he had. Besides, it’s not like Hinami and him had been in touch recently or anything. The last time they met, Hinami was probably still in high school.
“Anyway, Ken, who’s this?” his wife asks. “She’s a pretty girl. You’re not cheating on me, are you?”
She’s sure her cheeks must have reddened at those words and she buries her face in the scarf a little more. But she didn’t really have to do it. Kaneki and his wife and too busy staring at each other to notice anything.
“She’s a little too young for that, don’t you think?” Kaneki chuckles.
“No, she looks to be around my little brother’s age,” his wife grumbles.
Kaneki’s eyes soften and he looks back at Hinami. “That’s Fueguchi Hinami. She’s a family friend. I haven’t seen her in awhile.”
“I… was very busy,” Hinami says as an excuse. It’s not a lie, but it’s not entirely true as well. She had been busy but not that busy.
“Are you in college now?” Kaneki asks.
“Yeah… I’m doing Literature… at Kamii…”
“Ah, just like me, I see!” Kaneki laughs again.
Just like you…
It feels like Hinami is talking to an entirely different person right now, or maybe their roles had been swapped. She’d always been the one who’s all smiles and laughter while he sits aside in melancholia and grief. But now, while his heart grows and shines, it’s her that’s shattering and falling apart, desperately trying to hold the loose pieces together with whatever she can.
“Kamii…” His wife murmurs thoughtfully. “I think my brother’s enrolled there as well…”
“Really?” Hinami asks. She really can’t be bothered about the brother, but she doesn’t want to appear too rude as well.
“I don’t know if he’s still in there though. He might have dropped out. I wouldn’t really know-- my brother and I aren’t really on the best of terms,” she admits, and Hinami almost wrinkles her nose. What a sister…
“I… probably wouldn’t have known him anyway… I don’t have that much friends,” Hinami admits. In fact, she doesn’t really talk much even to those she vaguely considers friends. They’re mainly friends because they see each other’s faces for classes everyday. She doubts they’ll keep in touch after graduation. There’s only one person she can really think of maintaining some sort of a connection with for the years to come.
“I’m sure you’ll make some eventually, Hinami. You’ve always been a nice person,” Kaneki says. The smile falters a little, but it’s still there. She senses his pity from his expression.
“I have one really important person and I think he’s enough for me,” she admits.
“That’s nice,” Kaneki’s wife says. “Sometimes you don’t need too many people in life. Just one or two who’s really important.”
She sounds really sad as she spoke, her blue eyes clouding, probably watching a distant memory Hinami herself isn’t privy to. There is something about that look that sinks Hinami’s heart. It looks nostalgic– it’s an expression she’d seen before somewhere. This woman is too eerily similar to someone. Perhaps Kaneki had made the same expression before. But there’s something about the memory that’s associated to that look that makes her chest throb and her eyes water, something about it that makes her feel totally sick.
Kaneki seems to be watching his wife from the corner of his eyes as well and he pulls her closer to him. Her eye shoots open, her hand flying up to press against Kaneki’s chest to steady herself.
“Ken?”
“I found her and it’s the best thing in my life,” Kaneki explains. His hand find its way to her belly, rubbing circles around it lightly. “Ever since all of this happened… I think I’m really happy now.”
It hits Hinami that she was never enough to make him happy, but this woman is. Hinami wants to hate her, but she realises she can’t. The woman looks at Kaneki with a soft expression, completely filled with love that’s reserved for him and only him. Kaneki looks back at her with a mirrored smile. Their kid is the only one who’s looking away, attention caught by something on the other side of the road. That’s his world now. The woman, the child and the foetus in her belly are the pillars holding his abode up. She knows he cares about her, but no matter what, it’s now a bubble she can’t worm her way into now. They’re different, separate entities.
As much as she had told herself she’s over him, she realises she wasn’t back then. Deep down, she still wants him and she still wants the fantasies she had so meticulously created in her mind. Yet she can’t. She can’t tear down his home. The woman makes him happy and it’s what he deserves-- who is she to come in between them?
“Anyway, what are you doing here?” Kaneki asks. “Isn’t it too cold to just be standing around?”
“I… am waiting for someone…” she admits, nudging her head towards the store. “He went to get fish food.”
Kaneki’s wife raises her eyebrow. “And he left you here in the cold? Alone? What an asshole.”
“He’s not an asshole!” Hinami cries out and Kaneki’s wife blinks, before a grin starts forming on her face as Hinami tries to form more words. “He… I told him… I’d wait outside…”
“How cute,” she laughs, turning to her husband and slapping him on his arm lightly. “You never told me you knew someone this cute.”
“I… guess I never got the chance to bring her up,” Kaneki admits, looking apologetically at Hinami.
“How rude!”
Their daughter gurgles, almost as if laughing at her parents, though Hinami’s sure something else must have amused her. Kaneki’s wife smiles a warm smile, reaching over to tousle her hair. The girl turns to his mother, eyes widening as she looks at her, before bursting out into giggles.
“Papa is so rude, isn’t he? He’s never spoken to me about this girl before, even though it seems like they’re so close,” his wife continues. Their family is so happy. It’s like they’re defined by that joy. Hinami feels the pit grow in her stomach. She brings the coffee cup to her lips, though she doesn’t drink even a sip. She doubts she can stomach anything.
“Hinami, right?” his wife asks, looking back at her, and Hinami responds with a nod. “Why don’t you come over to our place once in awhile? We can have a meal together and get to know each other.”
Their house? Hinami doubts she’ll be able to survive stepping into the place where they live. She’ll probably fall dead on the spot. Their home is basically the manifestation of their love-- the place the live together, the place they laugh and cry together, the place their kid lives in, the place they do that in.
Even so, Hinami forces out a smile and nods again. “Sure, one day…” Even if it’s an empty promise, Kaneki’s wife doesn’t realise it. She holds her thumb out and flashes Hinami a huge grin, one that’s almost blinding and Hinami realises that there is no reason why Kaneki wouldn’t have fallen in love with this woman. She knows nothing about her, but just from one smile, Hinami gets the impression that she’s perfect in every way possible.
“Touka, we really should go now,” Kaneki says. As the woman looks at him and nods, Hinami feels herself freeze for a moment. That name is familiar. It’s something she’s seen or heard before.
“Touka?” she murmurs.
Kaneki’s wife turns to her, pointing at herself. “My name. I forgot to introduce myself, didn’t I? I’m Kirishima Touka!” She holds her hand out as she speaks, but Hinami is just too far frozen to respond.
Kirishima Touka…
She realizes now why it rings a bell. She’s seen the name ‘Touka’ a couple of times– the name that keeps popping up in a certain someone’s phone, only for all the messages and calls to go completely ignored. It’s no wonder she’s seen that same hurt expression before. It’s one that she’s been looking at for so long, one that she had been the very cause of. Now that she really looks at her, despite her feminine features, Touka does actually look like someone she knows very well.
She looks to be around my little brother’s age.
Kamii… I think my brother’s enrolled there as well.
My brother and I aren’t really on the best of terms…
Hinami wants to throw up.
Touka furrows her brows, tilting her head a little in concern from Hinami’s lack of response. “Hinami, are you--”
“Hinami! I’m done.”
Oh. OH.
She spins around immediately, somehome praying that her small frame is enough of a barrier between the two people. Ayato hasn’t seen them yet, his attention too focused on the things he has in the bag he’s carrying. Hinami’s right about to grab him and make a run for it, when she hears a soft whisper of his name from behind her.
Oh no…
“Dude, Hina, you won’t believe it. I got a freaking bargain. They even threw in live shrimps. My fishes are gonna love them. Let’s go and--”
He looks up. His voice goes silent. His eyes widen.
“Mama!” Hinami’s about to rush to Touka’s side, but little Ichika runs there first, now having been put down by his father. “Mama!”
“Touka, are you okay?” Kaneki asks as he joins them as well, his hand moving to her stomach. Touka’s nodding, though she’s wincing a little. Her breaths are deep and quick. She glances up, clearly at Ayato, before she turns to Kaneki.
“Yeah… I’m fine…” she says, slowly getting up with Kaneki’s help. “Don’t worry… She’s fine as well…”
“Are you sure?” Kaneki asks, softly and gently rubbing her belly. Touka nods, her body slackening into his arms. She nestles into him as he holds her tightly. Kaneki cradles her like he would a baby, murmuring soft words that are lost to Hinami’s ears. But she watches them pressed against each other, almost like one being themselves. Kaneki’s strong arms protectively hold her close, Touka almost sobbing against him. So close. So domestic.
So in love.
“She’s safe… She’s safe…” Touka whispers.
Hinami’s heart is racing. The baby… The baby is… She takes a step forward, only to feel her arm being grabbed and she’s pulled the other way. It’s a blur as she finds herself being dragged along, her mind merely focused on the image of Touka in Kaneki’s arms. She shakes her head-- no, it’s the baby I’m worried about, the baby.
She blinks her eyes, blurry sight clearing. She sees a head of blue hair in front of her, a body with broad shoulders reaching back and pulling her along from her arm. Her nose wrinkles from the stench that’s wafting about her. It stank, almost like as if one had thrown together the most undesirable of things into a pot and brewed them into a stew. She’s being led through an alley; she never really liked those kinds of places.
“Ayato,” she says softly. “Ayato, stop.”
He doesn’t, but instead, he tightens his grip on her arms and quickens his pace.
“Ayato!”
“We… need to get out of here,” he murmurs. “Home… We need to go back home.”
His voice no longer sounds like it had sounded back when they were out at the store. Hinami watches him and she notices the change instantly-- shakier voice, deep pants, trembling frame. She hadn’t expected a sudden change, but it doesn’t come as a surprises as well.
“She’s pregnant,” Hinami says. “You shouldn’t have done that.”
That stops him. He freezes, so suddenly that Hinami almost runs into him. “I… I know…”
“You should have apologized… and made sure she’s fine…”
“I know.” She hears a hitch in his breathing. His hand falls to his side, releasing hers, but Hinami reaches for it, clasping it in both her hands. “I… got so angry. But… it’s okay, right, Hinami? He’s there. She’ll be fine…”
Him…
Hinami lightly rubs his hand and Ayato tightens his grip. “You… knew all along…” she says slowly.
“What?”
“That he’s married… That I had no chance.” She’s choking out her words.
That’s not the point. This isn’t the time for this.
Ayato doesn’t reply. He drops his bag onto the ground and turns around to face her, though his head hangs slow, his eyes hidden by the shadow of the bangs. His hands reaches for her shoulders and in one swift motion, she’s pushed against the wall, his body pressing against hers as his lips capture hers in a messy kiss.
“Aya—” Her moan is cut off by his lips again, tongue finding its way into her mouth. His hands travel all over her body and Hinami is thankful for her thick clothes or god knows what he might be doing to her right now.
Ayato pulls away from her lips, but he continues kissing down her chin, hand rubbing her back. His free hand untangles her scarf and pulls it off her. Hinami whines as she feels the wool slide off her, leaving her bare neck open to the chill of the winter air. There’s a fleeting thought in the back of her mind— they’re in public; anyone can see them; Kaneki and Touka might end up coming here.
No. She has to forget; she wants to forget… and so does he.
“Ayato…” she groans as his tongue flicks against her neck, leaving a wet trail that sends a tremble down her spine. It’s cold, so cold. “You… didn’t reply…”
“Mm… What difference does it make?” he asks against her. “You’ve known from the very beginning that there was no chance…”
“You… didn’t tell me… You could have told me earlier… Ah!” She releases a gasp, cutting into her statement, as he nips on her shivering skin. She feels his hips grind against her, the tent in his pants pressing against her leg.
“Fuck… I need you…” he moans.
“No… Not here…”
Ayato pulls away from her, though he leans over and supports himself by pressing his hands against the wall, keeping her in place before him. He winces as he looks at her.
“I…”
Hinami shakes her head, trying to push him off a little. “Come on, let’s go home.”
“It’s too uncomfortable,” he groans, leaning towards her and nuzzling her neck. He takes her hand, leading it down to his pants and pressing it against his bulge. “Come on, Hina, just a quick one.”
He’s grinding against her hand and Hinami feels her mind falling into the gutter, images of him taking her right there and then surfacing in her mind-- hoisting her up against the dirty wall, ripping her leggings and pushing her panties aside to shove his dick into her. She whimpers at the thought, as she presses her hand against him as well.
“We can’t do this.” She forces it out. “We’re in public… Too much clothes… If someone sees…”
If Kaneki and Touka decided to come after us…
“I can’t walk like this, Hina,” Ayato mumbles.
“That’s not my problem!”
“It’s because you were rubbing yourself against my dick.”
“I wasn’t!”
“Doing it without even realising… I didn’t think I make you feel that good,” Ayato snickers. He pushes himself off her slightly, bringing his head up so that their eyes met. He stares at her in silence for a moment, eyes half-lidded and almost gleaming. “Then… suck.”
“Wha…?”
“Get on your knees and suck, come on.”
Hinami’s eyes go round as he takes her by the shoulders and flips them around. He leans against the wall, holding her in place. She feels the pressure on her shoulders and Hinami lets him coax her into dropping onto her knees, her face now levelled with the distinct tent in his pants. Ayato looks around and the back at her, nodding as she reaches towards him.
“Make it quick,” he whispers.
Touka and Kaneki might show up… The thought weighs down on her mind as she pushes his jacket upwards and undoes his belt buckle. Deft fingers unbutton and unzip the jeans without much thought and she pulls his dick out of his boxers immediately. Ayato sucks in a breath as she holds it tightly in her hand, lightly stroking it. His head glistens with precum and Hinami realises just how turned on he is. A small grin tugs on the edge of her lips as she leans towards it, tongue sticking out to lightly flick against his head.
“Hina,” Ayato hisses. “I said make it quick.”
Touka and Kaneki… Touka and Kaneki…
She looks up at him, tongue circling the head as her hand strokes his length, both in an incredulously slow pace. His cheeks are flushed and despite his words, Hinami knows he’s enjoying it. Considering the fact that he’s always teasing her, she wonders if he enjoys being on the receiving end of it as well.
“Why?” she asks, tilting her head a little too innocently. “I don’t think anyone’s going to show up.”
A total lie.
“No… but…” He breaks into a groan as she squeezes him, eyelids falling till his eyes are almost closed.
“Are you worried about Touka and Kaneki? I think I saw them coming after us just now.” She hadn’t. She was scared that they might have; she’s still afraid of them suddenly showing up to see her on her knees in front of Ayato with his dick in her mouth. She’s worried, so he should be as well, right?
Ayato throbs in her hand as he throws his head back, eyes squeezed tight. “Just shut up and suck already.”
“Ayato… You were cruel,” Hinami murmurs. She lifts his dick slightly, pressing her tongue beneath it before running it up along the full length.
“H-Huh?”
She tightens her hold on him, quickening her pace a little. “You… never told me.”
“Shut up.”
She takes him in, though mainly restraining himself to the head, running her tongue around it twice before sucking. The salty beads fall into her mouth and she pulls away, resuming her hand movements instead. Ayato’s staring down at her, eyes hard and mouth curved downwards.
“Why didn’t you tell me?” she asks. One simple question, but he’s frozen as he stares at her. She squeezes him again and he grimaces. “Why? You knew from the beginning, right?”
They started this at most a year ago. Arata seems to be at least two years old. Ayato knew from the very beginning who Hinami was in love with and that that very man is married. I’m sure one day it’ll work out. Don’t worry, Hinami, one day he’ll notice you. I know your love will get to him. He will have to fall for you eventually. You will get your happiness, Hinami, you will. Ayato’s former words ring in her mind and she snorts at them-- they’re all lies.
It doesn’t seem to register to her that Kaneki Ken is not just married, but he’s married to Ayato’s sister, who he has problems with and can’t get along with.
“Shut the fuck up,” Ayato scowls. “Like I said, it doesn’t make a difference. Get to work already. Hurry.”
She takes him in again, taking as much of him as she can, till she feels him hit the back of her head. She’s stroking the remaining length as she hollows her cheeks, sucking the remaining precum that’s dripping out of his tip. She runs her tongue around him, pressing the tip against the protruding veins, as she bobs her head. Her ears drown in the songs of Ayato’s muffled moans, and she glances up, watching him bite down on his bottom lips in an attempt at keeping silent.
She hates it.
Her free hand grabs him by the balls, fondling it and giving it one hard squeeze. His hips jerk and he throws his head back, a loud moan falling out from between his lips. Hinami pulls back slowly, letting her teeth graze against his full length as she retreats. She watches him for a moment, a thin strand of saliva still linking her mouth to his dick, before she kisses him on the tip and began running kisses down his length.
“Fuck… Fuck… Hina, I told you to… ah-- hurry.” He’s choking as she moves. She presses a kiss on one of his balls and sticks her tongue out to lick the rough skin. She watches a tremble pass through his thighs as she takes it into her mouth, sucking on it messily, saliva dripping down her chin. Her hands move to the hem of his pants, pulling it down along with his boxers till they bunch around his knees. She presses her palm against his skin, feeling the muscles tense as he shivers from the cool air. She slides it to his back, rubbing the firm ass before giving him a hard squeeze and eliciting another moan.
“God fucking dammit, Hinami.” His hands find their place in her hair, pulling her away and leading her back to his dick. Hinami obliges, taking him in again and letting him guide her movements as he fucks her mouth and deep into her throat. Hinami gags from the force of his thrusts, rough and hard, she’s struggling to breathe, especially as the cold numbs her nose. He hasn’t answered her question yet, she realises, and amidst teary eyes and a burning throat, she looks up at him with a glare, which Ayato mimics with a tut.
“What’s with that look, huh?” he grumbles, fingers tightening in her hair. He shoves harder and her throat burns even more. Hinami squirms. Even when it’s the middle of winter, her body feels hot. She forces her attention away from the blazing pit in her abdomen. She’s not turned on. She can’t be turned on.
He quickens his pace even more before he pulls out all of a sudden, one of his hands taking his dick and stroking it at a pace akin to that of his thrusts. Hinami stiffens as he pulls her closer to him again, her eyes falling close instinctively as she hears a choked sigh from him. She feels warmth splattered on her face, thick, gooey liquid dribbling down her forehead, cheeks and chin.
She opens her eyes and meets his. Ayato’s looking down at her with a completely smug expression, sneering at the sight before him. She had expected to maintain control the entire time, but their roles had reversed without her even noticing it. She stares up at him, still partly annoyed.
“I asked you a question, Ayato…” she murmurs. Her throat burns as she speaks and she gulps, swallowing to ease it. Ayato narrows his eyes, but he doesn’t respond immediately. He takes her by the chin to tilt her head, almost as if he is studying her.
“You’ve been a really bad girl, haven’t you?” Ayato coos. She’s being pushed down before she even realises it, back pressing down against the dirty, damp floor as Ayato crawls over her. The wetness on her face turns cold, her skin tingling from the sensation. Ayato’s hand travels up her leg, finding its way to the area between her legs. Despite her panties and leggings, the wetness is apparent, even though Hinami isn’t even sure when she’d gotten so aroused.
“How dirty,” he sighs, rubbing against her.
Indeed, it’s dirty, completely dirty. She’s lying on the floor of an alley that smells like all kinds of secretions, with a face stained with his cum, completely wet and turned on.
“You want an answer, don’t you?” he snarls. “Here’s your answer-- it doesn’t fucking matter.”
“Ayato. Wait. No, I--”
“What does it matter if I told you then, huh? Will that change anything?” he snaps. He pushes himself off her and spreads her legs, pushing her skirt out of the way. He leans forward and presses his face against her clothed cunt, licking and sucking the damp fabric.
She ponders over his words, wondering if nothing would really have changed. If Ayato had been honest and if she had known from the very beginning, what would she have done? Would the her with no hope act the same way she did? Of course not. It’s ridiculous to think so. Hope changes everything; it’s the core of human action. She did the things she did because she had hope. She held on to her feelings because even despite logic telling her nothing will happen, somewhere deeper, it felt like something might. That’s why she kept holding on. That’s why she kept coming to Ayato.
Oh.
Oh.
That’s why she kept coming to him.
“You… It was all for you…”
Ayato raises his head at her statement. It’s a wonder what she must look like, because alarm immediately flashes in his eyes. She feels hot tears prick the corner of her eyes, but this time, she holds them in.
“You did this! You held it in on purpose!” she cries out. “Just so you can have sex with me, right?”
Ayato’s eyes widen, his expression going from panic, to confusion and then anger. “You think I chose to keep silent so that I can fuck you?”
“Why else would you keep it from me?” she hisses, bringing her hands up to her face, rubbing her eyes with her fists. “All this while… I thought you love me and was supporting me despite everything…”
“I…” Ayato’s voice fade off, mouth hanging open as he watches it. Bingo.
“I… hate you…”
Ayato’s eyes go wider. “Huh?”
“You’re... such a jerk!”
“What the fuck are you going on about? Why would you even think that?” Ayato flares up. He moves up, hovering over her face to stare right at her. “Did seeing Kaneki mess with your head or something? ”
“S-Shut up!” She’s choking on her words, glaring up at him. This almost feels ridiculous. She can’t believe this at all.
“No, you shut up! Shut the fuck up!” he yells, grabbing her by her cheeks and forcing her to look right at him. “What even are you going on about?”
“I thought you loved me,” Hinami spits out, voice strained and muffled from the way he’s holding her. His hold on her loosens, hand dropping to the side. Hinami rubs her sore cheeks as she stares up at him, challenging him with her stare. “I thought you really loved me… but all you wanted was sex, right?”
Well, if that’s what you want…
Hinami reaches out for him before he can even reply, pulling his head down to mesh their lips together. Hinami’s hand fists into his hair, tugging the strands just like he had done with her just now. She feels him moan against her mouth as he presses his hips— when had he pull on his pants again?— against hers. She reaches for the woollen scarf around his neck as well, tugging it off him and tossing it aside.
“Hinami… Wait…”
“You’re just a typical guy.” Hinami pushes him off her to lie on his back. She climbs over him, briefly catching glimpse of a horrified expression, before their lips are meeting again. There’s tongue, teeth and a lot of wet lips in the exchange, with their moans muffled from being pressed against each other. He’s pushing back just as hard, fighting just as desperately. Her hands find the edges of his jacket and she gives it a hard tug, pulling apart till the buttons pop. She pushes the jacket aside, pressing her hands on and running them down his clothed body.
The metallic tinge that appears in her mouth makes her pull away from him. She doesn’t know whose blood is it, but she sees the crimson hue on his lips, even as she tastes it in hers.
“Now you’re really starting to piss me off,” he growls, sitting up and grabbing her by the shoulders, pulling him into a kiss once more. He flips their positions again, still holding her close as his tongue lashes against hers. Hinami struggles against him, unsure if she’s trying to push him away or fight against him for control. But even then, his hips are grinding against each other and she feels him as hard as she is wet. She cups his face, pulls him closer and bites down on his lips. Ayato moans as she does so and pushes her to lie down.
An instinctive move on her part has him jumping back slightly, a pained hiss slipping out of his mouth. Hinami catches sight of a pair of glistening red streaks on his cheek and despite having caused it, she realizes she’s empty of guilt.
Ayato scowls at her, before he’s unzipping her coat and parting it. He does a quick work of her blouse and tugs on the bra. Hinami arches her back in response and he unclasps it and pulls it off completely in mere seconds, tossing the garment aside. She shivers as the cool air hits her skin, but all that is lost to her when Ayato grabs both of her breasts, fondling them as his mouth attaches itself to her neck. He bites down hard on her neck, licking and sucking, and she’s sure she’s bruised by the sting it leaves as he moves to another spot. She feels different bruises blooming on her skin as he continues his work on her neck. She’s too lost to really think much about it, mind swimming in pleasure from how he’s tugging and tweaking her nipples.
We’re in public… We’re in public. Touka and Kaneki might show up...
Her hands slide up his body, under his t-shirt as he starts biting the sides of her breasts, marking them as well. Her nails dig into his skin as she runs them all over his body. His pained gasps are lost to her ears as he reaches down with one hand and rubs hard against her soaked leggings.
Ayato growls at the feeling and he moves away to crawl lower, taking her by the shin and pushing her legs apart. He leans his head forward, licking and kissing her damp spot, as Hinami reaches to grab him by the hair and pull him closer, grinding against his face. It doesn’t really matter anymore what they’re doing, right? If the sex is all he’s here for, then she’ll give him just that— pure, unadulterated, animalistic sex. The kind of fucking he enjoys.
“That’s it,” she moans as his tongue runs along her clit. “Good boy.”
Ayato snarls and it’s in a matter of heartbeats that he has her leggings ripped, panties roughly pulled down. He unhooks a leg and pays no attention to it afterwards, shoving three fingers into her leaking cunt. He thrusts them hard and fast, pressing her hips down to keep her from thrusting. She feels the buildup coming and it’s not long before she’s coming over his hand. But he doesn’t stop there or give her any time to rest. He immediately has another finger in, never ceasing with his ministrations.
She’s over-sensitive from all the stimulation. Her mind’s blacking from the intensity surging through her. Her heads thrown back, mouth wide open, yet she’s barely forming any words with them. It feels good, so good, and even if he’s a piece of shit, she doesn’t care too much anymore. She wants to feel him even more.
She comes again, body trembling. Her limbs go limp as he pulls his fingers out of her. She tries to get up, but her limbs are heavy. He crawls over, pressing his fingers to her lips.
“Suck,” he instructs and she’s too tired to resist. He prises open her mouth and slides them in. She responds by running her tongue along them, sucking the juices off them. Ayato moves his fingers, almost as if he’s fucking her mouth with them. His other hand lazily massages a breast. “Good girl.”
He pulls his fingers out of her and returns to his former position, urging her to spread her legs with his knees. He looks up at her, eyes gleaming as he watches her. His gaze darkens as he reaches to brush some strands of hair out of her face. A grin tugs on the edges of his lips. Hinami trembles at the sight despite herself; he looks almost malicious.
“You want this, don’t you?” he asks, licking his lips. “You want me fucking you, right?”
She hesitantly nods and is immediately flipped to lie on her front with her ass in the air before she can reply any further. His fingers continue stroking her, coaxing her to release after release till she loses count of how many time it had happened. He presses harder against her clit that before, rubbing with so much force it starts to burn. It’s hurting so much that it feels good. Hinami is all but asking for more and pushing back against it.
So dirty. His words from earlier ring in her mind. She hates how she can’t hold back. She hates the hunger driving her right now. She hates how she’s enjoying all of it; how Ayato’s pissed off glares and curses make her heart race and stomach churn in anticipation. More. More.
Her mind goes blank and all she’s aware of are his fingers. She grinding back against him, thrusting along his rhythm. Her fingers dig into the grime of the slick concrete floor. She’s barely fazed even by the stench of it, despite her face being pressed against it. Her voice escapes her; she’s no longer able to hold the screams and moans in. She cries his name out every time she comes. It’s all she can say when he leans forward to lick the liquid dripping down from her.
“Want my dick? Beg for it. Tell me you want me to fuck you,” he sneers as his fingers continue thrusting deep inside her, curling and rubbing.
“I want you to fuck me!” she screams, right as he drags her down to another release. She’s beyond caring about anything— not about how she’s appearing to him right now, not about the fact that they’re in public, not about the fact that Kaneki and Touka might show up and not about the fact that Ayato had been using her all along.
“That’s right. Good girl.” He flips her to lie on her back and enters her without really giving her any time to rest. She’s already used to the overstimulation by now; he’s never given her any time to rest at all. He hoists her legs up his shoulders, pushing in deeper. She’s choking his name out it a litany of moans and sobs, back arching. Harder, harder. Her hands reach for him, pulling him closer to her. They snake under his t-shirt, digging into his body and dragging her nails along as they travel around his body.
“You like this, don’t you?” he moans in her ear, running his tongue along the lobe before nibbling lightly on it. “You’re so wet for me right now. What if Kaneki shows up, huh? What if he sees how much of a slut you are for my dick?”
She doesn’t care at all. Her fingers are sinking deeper into him. A fleeting thought passes through her mind that she probably is hurting him, but Ayato doesn’t seem to be in pain and she discards the worry immediately. He continues to plunge deep inside her, hitting that one spot that feels so good and so right with just enough force to pull her to another orgasm. The tremor shoots through her, making her shriek his name out louder than before. Her body continues to twitch as the waves wash over and over her. She’s no longer aware of anything except for how good she feels at that moment. Ayato continues his movements, picking up his pace even as she goes limp under him. He pulses deep inside of her and pulls out immediately.
“You’re mine,” he hisses and she feels his cum splattering over her torso, the only warmth she could feel right now from the cool air. She opens her eyes slightly, enough to watch as the smugness and ire fade from his eyes to be replaced with a more drained and exhausted expression. Somehow, it doesn’t feel like hers. She knows he’s not tired from the sex at all. But she doesn’t have much time to ponder over it when her eyelids are falling shut again.
She’s barely awake as she feels him pull her clothes on for her and takes her in his arms. He lifts her up and gathers the discarded things from the floor as well. Hinami’s head lolls forward, and she’s leaning against his shoulder, supported and almost protected. They’re silent as he walks home, still holding her gently in his arms. She’s too fatigued, almost practically asleep. She assumes she must have dozed off as well while he’s carrying her, because the next time she’s aware of anything, she feels the warmth of water raining down on her. Hinami opens her eyes for mere seconds, sees a familiar shower. She feels Ayato beside her, pulling her closer to him.
“Just rest. Let me handle this,” he murmurs. She feels his hands lightly massage her scalp as he shampoos her hair. There really isn’t anything she can do right now so she concedes, letting herself fall against him and drift away.
She must have really fallen asleep this time. The next time she’s conscious again, she feels very different. The exhaustion hasn’t faded, but it feels very different from before. Her limbs feel heavy; her bones and muscles ache. Her throat is parched. It feels like she had swallowed a handful of needles and they’re pricking her throat now. She opens her eyes and raises her head a little.
She’s in Ayato’s bedroom, lying in his bed with the duvet wrapped around her. She sits up. Her body screams at her. She realises she’s burning up. Every slight movement makes her feel like throwing herself back down on the bed, curling up and never getting up. But she gets up anyway, crawling out of his bed and getting to her feet. Her knees feel weak and her hips ache. Just how hard were they doing it just now? She hadn’t thought much about it then, but now it’s clear he was rougher than he had ever been.
She starts to head out of the room, only pausing to take a look at her reflection on the mirror as she was about to pass it. She’s in one of Ayato’s shirts, merely buttoned in the middle segments. The shoulders are falling off her, unveiling the skin beneath and the red blotches that decorate random areas of her pale skin.
Ayato must have dressed her after he cleaned her up when she was passed out. She runs her hand through her hair and realises that he even went to the trouble of drying it, on top of carrying her back and helping her take a shower. He did that all for her and Hinami thinks it’s a little hard to believe how he doesn’t actually love her. Or does he?
She shakes her head, which spins and throbs the more she thinks. Even though she’s been fine with it in the past, the thought of Ayato really wanting her just for the sex brings hot tears to her eyes and she hurriedly wipes them away with her sleeves. Why hadn’t he told her the truth before? What was the point of keeping her hopeful? What could he want, other than to keep her in a position where she’ll always have to turn to him? It was Kaneki that brought Hinami and Ayato together, as strange as it might sound. They’ve known each other before. They were mere acquaintances, but it was after a fateful first time and a night of confessions that opened them up to each other, that started the whole thing. He wouldn’t have been able to do it anymore with her if he had straight up told her to give up back then. She’d have tried to forget Kaneki and they’d go their separate ways… wouldn’t she?
Her head hurts and she clutches it with one hand, rubbing lightly as she walks out. Her nose catches the distasteful reek the moment she sets foot out of the room. She sees Ayato sitting on the couch, completely oblivious to her approaching him.
He’d promise to give up smoking. But he seems to have forgotten it. Slumped on the couch, he fiddles with the cigarette that’s between two of his fingers, eyes staring ahead at nothing in particular, completely glazed over. He brings it to his mouth, only for Hinami to snatch it from him. He blinks in surprise, but by the time he’s able to comprehend what’s going on, she had discarded it into the tray on the table in front of him. He looks up at her, eyes wide in confusion.
“You promised you’d stop,” she said. Ayato tuts, turning away from her and reaching for his packet.
“Not now, Hinami. I’m not in the mood,” he grumbles. Before he can reach it, she snatches it from under his fingers, holding it tightly in her hands. Ayato looks up at her, clenching his teeth a little. “Hina.”
“No!”
“Look, just one stick!” he snaps, getting up and reaching towards her. Hinami’s hands fly to her back, taking a few steps away from him. “Come on Hinami. Don’t be--”
He’s cut off as his phone lights up, the vibrations interrupting his speech. Both of them turn to look at it and Hinami recognizes the numbers flashing on the screen immediately. Ayato makes no attempts to pick it up and both are left standing in silence as the vibrations continue, until eventually it falls silent. The display on the screen changes. 38 missed calls.
Oh… She recalls the events that had happened earlier on in the day. It’s no wonder Ayato is smoking cigarettes after cigarettes. She recalls seeing at least three others in the tray.
“Why didn’t you pick up?” Hinami asks.
“I don’t know…”
“It’s--”
“Yeah, I know. It’s Kaneki. You know his number by heart. I get it,” he says, a sharp hint of bitterness to his voice. Hinami furrows her brows slightly, annoyed by his tone, but it seems Ayato hadn’t intended to sound so harsh. He turns away sheepishly a second after he speaks, rubbing his neck. “Sorry… I…”
“Aren’t you worried about your sister?” she asks.
“I’m not--”
“You are. You should at least talk to him.”
Ayato falls silent for a moment and he walks over to his phone, picking it up. The screen lights up and he looks at it, before shaking his head and dropping it on the couch.
“What’s wrong?” Hinami asks.
“It’s him…” Ayato says. His voice weakens as he speaks and she sees his eyes narrow. “If… my sister is okay… She’ll be the one calling, right? I’ve… barely ever spoken to Kaneki. I don’t even have his number up till now.”
“Then how do you know it’s him?”
“He sent me a couple of messages as well…” Ayato turns to her, nibbling lightly on the nail of his thumb. “Hinami… I really fucked up, didn’t I?”
“You shouldn’t have pushed her…”
“We’re always like that…”
“But she’s pregnant now.”
“I only noticed after she fell.”
It doesn’t mean anything, but Hinami knows Ayato knows that as well. He isn’t trying to excuse himself at all. He’s just being honest. He slumps onto the couch and covers his face with his hands, crying out in an exasperated yell. Hinami didn’t pay too much mind to it, but she realises he’s merely wearing a pair of sweatpants, his torso completely bare. His body is marred with red streaks running across it. She hadn’t thought she scratched him that hard.
The phone lights up again and Hinami doesn’t have to see it to know that it’s the same number again. She stares at him as his hands drop from his face and he looks down at his phone, picking it up and staring at it.
“Answer it.”
“Hinami, just because it’s him--”
“It’ll make you feel better if you talk to them,” she says as she walks over to him. She climbs over him and straddles his lap, winding her arms around her neck as their eyes meet. “Come on. Answer it.”
“Fine.” Ayato taps on the screen and brings the phone to his ear. His face remains tense and stoic, his vow of silence continuing for a few heartbeats. The place is eerily quiet, to the point the water flowing from Ayato’s fishtanks seems almost overbearing.
She watches as his expression morphs to a grimace and Hinami feels her heartbeat pick up as well. It doesn’t seem like it’s good at all. She wonders if talking to Kaneki really would make Ayato feel better. Hinami remains silent, but she presses her hand against his cheek, lightly stroking him.
It’s okay. I’m here, Ayato… His mouth twitches a little as he glances at her, offering her a weak smile. Her thumb traces the lines on his face, the red scratches she had made earlier on. It almost feels like she had marked him for herself with all those scratches, just like his bite marks marked hers. Somehow, she feels herself flush at that thought.
“I… see…” Ayato murmurs. There’s a change in his eyes as relief floods over him. His smile now seems more genuine, albeit still small as ever. “I know… I didn’t… Yeah. I’m sorry…. Okay, I’ll try to make time.”
He hangs up and heaves a sigh, dropping his phone on the couch again. “It’s fine. My sister’s safe and the baby is as well… Kaneki is really pissed though. He told me to stop acting like a kid.” Ayato laughs, blinking his eyes a little too rapidly. Hinami wonders if he feels like crying or something and is holding back in her presence.
“That’s good,” she says.
“But… my sister’s a little weird now. Kaneki says she’s locked herself in their room and she’s refusing to eat. He asked me to come over…” he sighs. “But she’ll get through it. I know.”
“Really?”
“Yeah. I know my sister.”
Even though they’re discussing it, Hinami realises that he doesn’t seem happy talking about it. She knows he has no intention to visit at all. She also knows that he should visit or he’d definitely end up regretting it. But she doesn’t push it any further, instead opting to curl up against him, resting her head in against the crook of his neck. Her fingers continue stroking his face.
“Does it hurt?” she asks.
“A little…”
“I’m sorry…”
“It felt good when you did it just now though,” he admits with a dry laugh. They fall into another long silence. Hinami’s eyes focuses on the colorful school of fishes in one of his tanks, watching as they swim around the plants, chasing each other. Ayato wraps his arms around her, holding her tightly. It feels nice, she notes once again, to be held by him; it’s something she’s starting to really enjoy.
“Also… I’m sorry as well,” he says. “For… you know… not telling you.”
“About Kaneki?”
“Yeah… I… didn’t want to talk about it,” he admits, “at all.”
She feels like she’s tiptoeing at the edge of a ditch and that one push is all she needs to fall in. Ayato’s face has darkened from earlier and he’s looking right ahead again.
“If you had told me--”
“You’d be devastated. Like you were that day,” Ayato says. “I didn’t want you to be sad. Whenever I said that one day he might notice you and it might happen, you always look up at me with those huge eyes and you look so beautiful that I...”
“That you…?” she urges. He had droned off, but his words were making her flutter. She wants to hear more. Ayato clears his throat, glancing down at her and turning away immediately. It’s dark and she can’t see clearly, but she can vaguely make out the color on his cheeks.
“You know… I…” He trails off again and takes a deep breath. The silence between them is heavy, but it’s different from before. Hinami feels restless, but she stays in place, curled up against him. Leaning on his chest, she’s able to feel the beating of his heart, palpitating at a rate so rapid she wonders if it’s dangerous. He’s not doing anything at all but sitting. The thought of her being the one that makes him like that sends her head to the clouds. She wants to hear him say it.
“Ayato?”
“Every time you looked at me like that, it felt like I fell in love with you all over again.”
Oh. Hinami continues watching him. He steals a glance at her before turning away completely again. His heart is still beating hard, or it might even have picked up its intensity. He doesn’t look at her again, eyes directed at his tank instead. His red cheeks are too obvious to be denied anymore. Hinami’s mind is reeling. Love. He said love.
“Is that true?” she asks slowly and Ayato nods. She’s happy, but her stomach still sinks at the thought of her accusations towards him. “Ayato… I’m sorry I said those things.”
“No it’s… It’s fine… I…” He shakes his head and pulls her closer, hugging her tight against his chest. He kisses her lightly on the top of her head. “This is so embarrassing to say but please don’t doubt my love for you.”
She feels so light.
“I won’t… Promise.” She kisses his shoulder in response, nuzzling against him.
“Anyway, you’re burning up quite a bit. Are you okay?”
“Yeah.”
“You should get some rest.”
“Yeah,” she agrees as Ayato stands up, cradling her in his arms. Hinami vaguely remembers the sight from before, imagining Kaneki and the way he held Touka in his arms and the way Touka had responded to it. Hinami nuzzles against Ayato, arms winding around his neck. “Join me in bed…”
“Hm?”
“Hold me for a bit or something…”
A/N: I am sooo sorry this is so long lmao. But I hope you guys liked it! I know I could have split it, but I really didn’t want to. I like the idea of each chapter fitting a particular theme of sorts so this chapter is about the meeting with Touka and Kaneki + the repercussions of it.
I’d say this is a mini arc of sorts now. Chapter 4 has more Touken and Kirishima feels. Just a mini spoiler, the angst is heavy in that one. Stress is never too good for a pregnancy. So I hope you look forward to that! I will probably get to proofreading this on the day my fish decides to talk to me so I am so sorry about that.
Once again, please please do reblog if you like this! It’ll really help me out. Feel free to leave comments in the tags/ reblogs/ replies or through asks!

Pls more fluffy headcanons about Oneshot!Ken and TG!Touka, because i love their relationship
LOL Okay, these ended up being longer than I thought…and again, just fluff…
+ On Touka’s birthday, she’s stuck at school. During her lunch break, she’s at a table with Yoriko and a few other classmates when Ken surprises her. He shows up with a cute stuffed bunny that has a flower tucked in its crossed arms. Touka is super flushed and holds the bunny up to her face to hide behind. She hadn’t told anyone about Ken, even Yoriko is stunned. Ken notices how red she is and he can’t help but make it worse by placing sweet kisses over the side of her face. Everyone looks on at him with hearts in their eyes. Ken chuckles and whispers “Happy Birthday, little rabbit” in her ear. She mumbles ‘thank you’. Once Ken is satisfied with embarrassing her he tells her he’ll see her later and gets ready to leave, winks at Yoriko and the other girls and is gone. Immediately Yoriko is begging for details about Ken and their relationship.
+ On Ken’s birthday, since he loves having his coffee in the mornings and sometimes in the evenings before starting his shift, Touka gets him a special, rare kind of coffee bean so he can having better than amazing coffee at home. He loves it. And when she asks what else he wants, he pretty much tells Touka he has two requests. First is he wants a bookstore date. Touka isn’t much of a reader, but it’s his birthday and she agrees to go with him. When she asks what his second request is he tells her she’ll find out later. She’s curious and eager. At the bookstore Touka is tagging along with Ken as he gathers up a couple of horror based books, his favorite genre and then pulls out the Kama Sutra and points out to one particular position he says he’d like to try. Touka is all shades of red and flat out tells him no: “I would be upside down?! No, way Ken Kaneki, my head would pop off!” And Ken starts laughing, saying he was only messing with her because he reactions are too amusing. When they get back home, Touka is waiting for Ken to just completely ravage her because don’t guys want sex for their birthday? He takes her to the bedroom. She’s thinking ‘this is it’. He pulls her down to the bed and just cuddles up with her. She’s completely taken by surprise and he tells her all he wanted was to hold her and feel her warmth. And she’s left smiling.
+ Touka’s bathroom isn’t that big and so when Ken is over and hogging up the bathroom brushing his teeth or something, Touka really needs to pee and she tries to get by him but Ken purposefully stands in her way to piss her off. While she’s strong for a ghoul, Ken is a massive and barely budges when Touka tries pushing or pulling him away. She ends up climbing over him and it cracks him up. He loves messing with her because of how short/small she is.
+ Ken’s hair is a mess. It’s pretty shaggy and Touka is quick to offer her haircutting services, but Yomo is nearby when he overhears this conversation and from behind Touka his eyes widen at Ken and he shakes his head at him, warning him not to do it. Ken thanks Touka for the offer, but turns her down as politely as he can and when she doesn’t take no for an answer Ken shuts her up with a kiss in front of everyone, outing them as a couple. But it’s worth it to avoid Touka cutting his hair.
+ And speaking of his hair, Touka grows a habit of twirling locks of his hair between her fingers when his head rests over her breasts. It’s something that’s soothing to her and helps her fall asleep.
+ One day Touka tells Ken she wants to go to the bookstore, which he finds weird because she’s not really into books, but her excuse is it’s Yoriko’s birthday in a couple of days and she wants to bake her something, so she needs a cookbook. Ken still thinks something is off, but they head to the bookstore. They go their separate ways, but when Ken is done looking around he goes to find Touka in the cooking section and she’s nowhere to be found. He goes looking for her and catches her in the pregnancy/childbirth section. She looks nervous and in a hurry, flipping through pages of a pregnancy book as if she’s trying to soak up as much information as possible. Ken doesn’t bother her, he simply walks away and thinks about what is going on. Is his little rabbit pregnant? And for the first time in his life, he’s scared. Touka pops up next to him after a few minutes, looking/acting normal and hugging a cookbook, but no pregnancy book. She tells him she’s ready to pay and go and he tries to act like he didn’t see anything.
But that night he can’t sleep. Touka is sleeping next to him, completely out for the count. He studies her for a moment before he lets his hand slip under her shirt and he splays his hand over her stomach as she barely stirs in her sleep. He’s worried. He’s scared. He’s curious. He wants to know. He starts to let all sorts of scenarios run through his mind about the possibility of being a father. But he looks over Touka’s peaceful face and he’s happy. He would gladly be at her side for however long she wants him and if she’s carrying his child, he wants to do the right thing. He wants to be with her. He loves her.
[I hope this was enough for now…I slipped into possible pregnancy hcs…welp]

Dream (touken drabble)
Summary: A mini-Touken moment post whatever bullshit is going on in this arc. (878 words)
A/N: I kinda have like really shitty wifi and I am supposed to be studying in the short moments I have in what is supposed to be a vacation. I wrote this out half-asleep while multi-tasking and reading primary sources from the 1500s so really, just spare my soul. I don’t even know if this post will even be uploaded successfully. =w= Enjoy~

“Whatever Touka-chan decides, I will be here for you,” Kaneki says, reaching out to push her bangs out of her face. She takes a moment from her thoughts to muse at how he’s always pushing her hair back to stare at her face but she feels like it’s something she will never get used to, perhaps since she can never get used to the thought of him finding her beautiful even despite the number of times he’s said it to her.
“I… want to be with everyone,” she admits.
“Then let’s be with everyone.”
“Sorry.”
She has lost count of how many times he had said it. Kaneki pulls her body closer to him, nuzzling his face into the curve of his neck. She’s enveloped by his body, his arms wrapped around her tightly and protectively— desperate to hold on to her as if loosening his grip even bit might cause her to suddenly vanish before his very eyes.
Touka can’t see his face since she has her back to him, but she’s sure he’s grimacing like he always has been whenever he looks at her ever since he came back from the mission. He’s burning from guilt, suffering at the realisation that he had left their base— that he had left her. He’s hating himself for not being there when trouble stroke, like as if he’s some omnipotent being that should have known his wife would be in danger. He’s not— she knows that and he knows that. Yet he also wishes he is, just so he can keep her and the child within her safe.
Just so he can keep his family safe.
“I’m okay…” she says for the umpteenth time and he sighs against her, shaking his head lightly.
“I should have been here to protect you. I shouldn't have left…”
“It’s not your fault, Kaneki,” Touka sighs. She shifts her body and turns around so they’re lying on their sides facing each other. His eyes are downcast and she smiles as she reaches out to tilt his head upwards. “I’m fine.”
She’s not completely fine. She’s hurt here and there. She’s a little shaken and surprised and it’s going to take some time before the tension in the base fades and the mood lightens again. But even then, Touka knows she's not the one who should deserve his worry. There are countless of ghouls who are hurt badly. There are more who were killed. There’s an even larger number who’s traumatised by the deaths of closer comrades, friends and family. Goat had survived but they hadn’t made it out unscathed. The place is still filled with the wails of grieving individuals.
Touka is fine but it doesn't change the fact that she feels like shit.
I want to fight…
The words die on her lips as she clicks her tongue. She cant do anything too much right now, not in her current state. She wants very much to be by Kaneki’s side but she can’t do anything else but watch his back right now. She wants to fight for him, but she wants to stay for their child. It’s a complicated feeling and Touka’s mind churns as she considers her options. She knows there really isn't much of a choice.
“Do you think we’re being selfish?” she asks absentmindedly.
Kaneki blinks at her sudden question and stays silent for a while, probably considering it. His brows furrow and he shrugs. “Selfish?”
“The baby. Are we being selfish for wanting to keep it?”
Kaneki’s eyes widened for a second and then he narrows them in thought. “We are… right?”
“If I’m not pregnant, I can fight… with you…” she says softly. “I can be beside you. You don't have to worry… I don't have to worry.”
“I know…”
“But… the baby…” She bites her lip in hesitation, sieving through her scattered thoughts. She realises that she doesn't know what she wants. She has her options laid out to her like a buffet spread, yet she stands aside with an empty plate not knowing what to reach out to.
She wants her child. She wants Kaneki. She wants her family. She wants happiness. She wants to be with people she love. She wants to be able to go back up there one day.
She wants to hear the cries of her baby. She wants to see Kaneki’s smiles. She wants to feel Yomo’s support. She wants to argue with Nishiki. She wants to pamper Hinami. She wants Tsukiyama to annoy her. She wants to tease Ayato. She wants to hang out with Yoriko.
She just wants to be with the people she loves and she wonders if that truly is a selfish desire. But from the very beginning, hasn't living itself been a sin for her? So it must indeed be a selfish desire for her to wish she can not only live on, but live on with the people she loves and cares for.
She raises her eyes at his words and he smiles a toothy grin. Empty words, she notes and she knows that he knows it. He probably knows she knows it as well. But these empty words holds more meaning than any other insincere promise anyone had ever made to her.
